"Happy to have found this hotel!"
F1275ALzoeb, 29 Janvier 2024

We found that the hotels location was an excellent base address to walk around/to touristic attractions , the room had everything we needed such as a coffee machine, toiletries, hanging space with lots of hangers etc and the staff were all lovely.

"Excellent experience!!"
fabienne l, 17 Janvier 2024

This boutique hotel was perfect! It is beautifully decorated, quiet rooms because they look out onto a courtyard, all the staff is so friendly and helpful, and the location can't be beat. We felt extremely safe there and it was close to many different restaurants, shops, Metro and RER. What a great find! Everything about the hotel was amazing.

"Hidden Gem in a Great Location"
Angie F, 23 Octobre 2023

We were extremely happy with this hotel on our recent stay! What a hidden gem. We upgraded our room upon check-in, and it was worth every penny. Our room was very large by Paris standards and very well appointed - super comfortable bed, large windows, Nespresso coffee maker, 2 TVs, a separate sitting area and a very nice, clean bathroom. We have been to Paris several times and this was our favorite room and hotel, by far. Olga, who checked us in, was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and near many Metro stations, shops and restaurants. Great stay - I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to visit Paris!

"Excellent service"
Traveler180133868046, 21 Octobre 2023

This is an excellent hotel, the staff is friendly and extremely efficient. The location is great and there are plenty of nice places to dine around the hotel. My room was substantially bigger than the usual for this type of hotels. I would denitely stay there again.

"Be cautious, Book elsewhere"
Paradise768356, 19 Octobre 2023

We booked this hotel for a family trip to Paris. The majority of us are 70+ in age and I booked several rooms with Expedia for this hotel only to be strong armed into a "group" reservation because we booked 8 rooms. Forced to make us wire transfer payment for all the rooms up front. They claimed they would not be able to process so many checking in at the same time. We arrived at many different times and it is my opinion that the director, Anne-Marie Gerbault, saw an opportunity to cut Expedia out of the equation, and intimidate. Be cautious and book elsewhere.

"Surprisingly nice "
Robert D, 26 Septembre 2023

We really enjoyed our room which was well appointed for it's size. Nice and quiet too at least on the courtyard side. The elevator is an oversized dumbwaiter but seems to add to the charm - not sure if you could get a wheelchair in it if that is a concern. We used the stairs mostly. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also quite good with lots to choose from. Location is just ok in regard to main tourist attractions.

"Excellent Choice"
ias731, 05 Septembre 2023

Stayed in this hotel in July during a trip with adult daughter, grandson, and husband- we had two rooms. The staff was extremely accommodating and the hotel was centrally located. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel, in fact I am trying to book for my next visit to Paris for the Olympics.

"A hidden Gem !"
celene292023, 07 Août 2023

The staff go above and beyond for the patrons. I would highly recommend this hotel. I found each time I asked for recommendations and help the staff would offer so much help. The hotel is very clean and offers Comcast to watch your favourite shows after a day of exploring.

"Beautiful, central hotel"
Fifers29, 04 Août 2023

A beautiful hotel, perfectly situated for all tourist attractions and shopping area. Our room was adorably chic, clean and spacious and all staff were very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

"A perfect stay"
sja64, 12 Juillet 2023

I stayed 5 nights, without breakfast. The room was spotless every day. The bed was so comfy! Every member of staff was kind and helpful. I had requested an iron before I arrived and it was waiting in the room for me, despite not being part of the room's equipment. It's in a perfect position for many metro stops, buses and also lots can be reached on foot. I will definitely be going back there.

"Great location, very friendly staff"
Laura O, 12 Juin 2023

We stayed 4 nights total, with a 2 night trip in between the 4 night stays. The hotel is in a great location, quiet rooms, small compared to American hotels, but very comfortable. Very helpful front desk who arranged taxi, held luggage, provided ice, and just very nice :)

"Great Location and excellent customer service experience"
gmp712023, 12 Juin 2023

The hotel is in a great location near some big malls and metro. We appreciate how helpful and friendly their staff was, as they genuinely cared for their customers. The room was clean even though it's a bit small just like most of the rooms in Paris. I would likely be staying there next time we go to Paris.

"Parisian Hospitality at its "Best""
dilluxmama, 04 Juin 2023

Lovely lovely staff and very nice hotel. This hotel is located in a very central area, rooms were spacious and well appointed and just an amazing staff. Probably some of the friendliest people I've ever met at a hotel. Hotel has a few quarks like small elevator and waiting for hot water in the morning but would definitely recommend.

"Wonderful Hotel!"
lalalala1974, 29 Mai 2023

Amazing staff, great location (and at the same time - quiet). Very Clean. it justifies its reviews and more it is a great choice in the Opera Area. Many metro and RER stations around. safe area. Don't hesitate to book Thank you!

"The hotel manager Olga is a fantastic host"
Gujg, 05 Février 2023

The hotel manager Olga is a fantastic host. Her attentive service elevated the experience of staying at this hotel. She will try her best to not only respond to requests, but anticipate needs. The room is clean and quite. The location is close to the department stores.

"Very cozy and quiet"
marjorier898, 27 Décembre 2022

The staff was phenomenal. The towels were amazing. I mean they wrapped around the body and were soft. Good breakfast selection. Close to shops, malls and restaurants. Metro was about a 5 min walk. So were the bus stops. Very good location. Will definitely stay again.

"Great location, basic hotel"
62linah, 25 Octobre 2022

A nice, clean and basic three star hotel. Here you pay for the location - very close to the malls Gallery Lafayette and Primtemps and to train and bus stops. The hotel is small with a few rooms, good service and clean. Nothing fancy, but you have what you need. Some noise from the street in the morning. Rooms are pretty pricy, but it's the same for most of Paris.

"Great location, great experience"
Anita E, 04 Octobre 2022

This hotel is ideally situated for sightseeing and dining in Paris. Our rooms were really well presented and offered everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The continental breakfast had plenty of choice for us. The team at the hotel made our stay particularly memorable by their warm welcome and helpfulness. We will definitely return.

"Very good hotel"
jserrade, 31 Août 2022

It is a very good hotel in an excellent area of Paris near to a lot of metro stations and in a walking distanxe to shopping district, la Madeleine, Opera and even Concorde. Clean, nice rooms ( a little small, but it is Paris!!). I highly recommend it.

"All time favorite"
722christophb, 27 Juillet 2022

This is my all time favorite in Paris. Very nice, cozy place, small (this is Paris!) but comfortable rooms, close to Metro, quiet Quartier. The most friendly staff I have ever met in a hotel! We came early but check in was no problem, we even got an upgrade.Delicious breakfast.Next time in Paris: this hotel or none

"Wonderful small hotel"
Annick123, 05 Juillet 2022

I visit Paris often but this is my first stay at the Sydney Opera Paris. I love it. Nice rooms, very clean and - very important - a comfortable bed. We had four rooms, of varying sizes, and everyone in my family was comfortable and happy with the accommodations. The staff is wonderful, very pleasant and helfpful. I will definitely stay here again.

"Blown Away"
Nigel K, 30 Juin 2022

...and that was just the aircon, the grill of which (Room 506) sadly directed the cold air onto the bed and I'd forgotten to pack my air con survival kit. The hotel was very comfortable and is in a great location. Just off the beaten track but accessible to many restaurants, bars, cafes and bistro's. There is small general store 3 minutes walk away which was handy for water etc. The staff were very helpful and happy and seemed to enjoy our anglicised attempts at murdering the French language - we kept them amused. There is only a buffet bar at the hotel but we always ate out, in the morning we had coffee and croissants at 'Coco's across from the hotel and usually on the way back we stopped off to eat dinner at one of the many nearby restaurants. We picked up an open topped bus tour (hop on - hop off) a few minutes walk from the hotel at the Paris Opera, which was great for seeing the major sites and for getting our bearings. It was only a five minute walk to the Gare St Lazare (we chose the hotel because we came up from Caen and the hotel was close to the station). We tended to walk rather than catch the metro and this allowed us to make even more discoveries. As a keen photographer this really worked for me. Will defintley be returning to this hotel in the autumn as I need to get shots on rainy days and at night - when we were here in early June it was blazing hot (30 degrees) and only just getting dark at 10.30. Hopefully we can also keep the aircon switched off.

"Good deal"
ParukM, 16 Juin 2022

Stayed there 4 nights and I really liked the experience. Location was perfect and room was bigger than comparable places in Paris. Price was very reasonable. Hotel and room were clean and mostly people were very nice and understanding.

"Central location - very customer centric staff"
cgueugnon, 02 Mai 2022

Native from Paris myself, I traveled back to my hometown and was looking for a quaint hotel in a very central location for a few days. The hotel location is fantastic and a walk away from major parisian landmarks such as St Lazare district, Opera Garnier, Rue de Rivoli, Louvre and Tuileries Gardens. Its also close to several famous theaters like Theatre des mathurins in the same name street. the hotel was small and quaint, yet provided above average size rooms. bathroom was optimized for its square footage with a decent size shower. basically, it makes the most of the space. My room was courtyard side and therefore extremely quiet (no car noises, only beautiful bird chirping to wake up to). also LOVED the cleanliness of the accomodations. staff is extremely friendly and helpful at all times, no matter the question. really great experience, god knows some places in paris are far from clean and customer centric. Great address. will definitely go back.

"Excellent hotel"
BirkHow, 13 Avril 2022

We found this hotel excellent. It is very comfortable, and well equipped. Staff were excellent, so helpful. It is ideally placed for tourists to Paris, with several decent restaurants and public transport nearby,

"Fantastic stay!"
Road43335, 17 Mars 2022

The hotel is a little gem in the heart of Paris, in a nice area (near Opera/ La Madeleine, and not far from Place Vendome). The customer service was faultless and the hotel staff went above and beyond to offer the best possible experience. The room (and the hotel in general) was absolutely spotless, you can tell the cleaning team takes pride in what they do, which is not always the case in some hotels; It was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was clearly new/ refurbished and the shower was divine. Thank you!

"BW Sydney Hotel Paris"
mikebV247FW, 23 Février 2022

This hotel is recommended by me. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, clean comfortable and bright rooms a d good value for money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone whether in Paris for business or leisure.

"GC"
SKC20212021, 22 Novembre 2021

Very noise as the pub opposite the road opens till 2am and the people were drinking till 3am. Price for such small room without coffee/tea maker even though it was shown in the website for each room is disappointed.

"Favorite place in Paris!"
martinana0309, 06 Novembre 2021

As always, my stay here is exceptional! I keep finding reasons to come back to Paris and stay and this hotel. Location is great, rooms are lovely and clean, breakfast is delicious but most importantly, staff is exceptionally kind. This time, I've gotten a free upgrade to a suite which will make this stay particularly memorable!

"Great Hotel"
tracy642, 03 Novembre 2021

I loved this hotel. It was in the center of everything. The staff was great and very helpful. Gave us information for boat ride and subway. The hotel was within walking distance of several subway stations. The room was excellent, we had a Jr. Suite and it was very comfortable. I would stay here again.

"Perfect place for a couple weekend trip to Paris"
TomGios, 03 Octobre 2021

Very nice hotel with friendly staff (Olga!) in the center of Paris. Surrounded by bars and restaurants and shopping options. Metro is just around the corner. We had a walk to La Fayette, Arc de Triumph, Champs Élysée… Room was not big but cosy. Very clean and quite. 3th floor, not to the street. Breakfast was typical French, cafe au lait and Croissants, eggs and orange juice.

"Wonderful stay"
WillWork4Travel, 16 Juillet 2021

My husband and I stayed in the BW Hotel Sydney Opera June 2021 and had a wonderful stay. Everyone at the front desk was so kind and welcoming. It's close to a lot of great shopping, restaurants, and a few metro stops. The room was a perfect size and everything was comfortable. We can't thank them enough for setting up our Covid tests so we could come back to the US. We were in Nice and ended our trip in Paris and they set up the test for us in Nice. When we walked in the doors they handed us copies of our negative covid tests to come home. It was such a relief for them to have helped us with that somewhat stressful process. I would definitely stay here again. Merci! -Isaura&marc patton

"Excellent service and amenities"
billycarson010, 27 Décembre 2020

This Best Western was very clean and very well maintained. We stayed for two nights and had a terrific time. The front desk was very helpful and friendly throughout, assisting with any requests we had and even offering a speedy breakfast for the day of departure. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an affordable stay near a busy part of the city.

"Excellent hotel. Great location."
amylY3035TZ, 22 Février 2020

Perfect for a long weekend/short break to Paris. Really good location. 20/25 min walk to Champs Elysee. Just next to Gallerie Lafayette. Selection of good restaurants and bars nearby. Bar Royal just up the street has a nice courtyard outside. Friendly staff. Small rooms but immaculately clean. Have all you need. Can't speak for the breakfast. We found a nearby places instead. Reception staff always happy to help, book taxis etc. Friendly. Approachable. Would recommend.

"Great hotel to explore Paris"
Cristian M, 03 Février 2020

The hotel is very nice inside, chic even. Location is very good, close to metro stations (we only used Saint Lazare), close to Concorde and Champs Elysee. Also close to Lafayette galleries if you fancy shopping. The room in which we stayed, even though it was small, was very clean, nice and stylish. The reception folks were always cheerful and happy to help us if we had any questions. They even warned us at some point that there will be no traffic near Concorde because of the strikes. I can't say anything about breakfast because we didn't have it. All in all a very nice hotel and priced correctly for the area.

"Super "
795miekev, 18 Janvier 2020

Location perfect. Room clean, good bed. Staff super friendly and warm welcome. In room fridge and waterboiler so you can have tea or coffee and can cool your wine. We had a perfect stay here. When in Paris this hotel is a recommendation.

"A very nice boutique hotel, well located in central Paris."
Martin D, 06 Janvier 2020

We had 2 rooms. One was a double. The other had two twin bids. The rooms were fairly small (the double in particular) but not unusually so for central Paris. The rooms were, however, well appointed - e.g. reading lights, sufficient power points, toiletries, shaving mirror, clothes hangars, a safe and a fridge. The rooms were modern, clean and cleaned well daily. We received muffins and a complimentary bottle of water on arrival. The staff at reception were all very friendly, courteous and helpful, and they spoke good English. Check in and check out were smooth and efficient. On our final day we left our bags whilst we went sightseeing and collected them on our return. Whilst we waited in reception for an hour before leaving to get our train, we were offered tea, coffee and water. We were made to feel welcome at all times. The WiFi in the hotel is free and fairly good speed. The lift is very small (2 people) but we had little luggage and happily took the spiral stairs every day. The hotel does not have that many rooms (4 on our floor) and, besides being recently renovated, offers a nice sleeping experience - we did not suffer from any undue noise despite our room being next to the lift. Neither did we experience any noise from the road outside. The bathrooms, though small, were all modern. There is plenty of really hot water and two shower heads (overhead and hand held). The location of the hotel is really convenient. It is centrally positioned in the heart of the city and we found it a very good place from which to explore in all directions. Would stay here again if we returned to Paris. Thank you.

"Good Stay"
monitac323, 05 Janvier 2020

We stayed at this hotel for the first time-took the Junior Suite--loved the space in the room--there was an extra place like a walk-in closet for your clothes and luggage Room was cleaned daily Front staff is excellent--Marcos, Greti, and Kendra were amazingly helpful and friendly Location is great--15 to 20 minute walk to most places Will stay there again when we go--but do need a little better price rate

"Fantastic hotel"
NorthStar662984, 27 Décembre 2019

The staff was friendly and very helpful when we were trying to get around. The rooms were clean and are honestly one of the most beautiful and spacious hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. Very easy to find and in a great central location.

"Good location, good room and great staff"
oldfathertime, 05 Décembre 2019

A straight forward hotel to find, if you (like us) you have arrived on the Eurostar. Out the station and onto the Rue La Fayette until reaching Bd Haussmann and a your as good as there. . A 30 min walk, more if you hit the GREEN MAN at the wrong time so bear that in mind when you walk back to Gare du Nord. We rarely, if ever use the Metro or jump a taxi, your in Paris. Walk to the hotel and enjoy (suitcases permitting): back pack, its the only way. The hotel is central to most of the city's highlights: the Madeleine and Pace de la Concorde are 5 minutes away, Notre Dame 20 to 25 minutes via the Louvre. Carry on and visit the site of the Bastille via the over rated Left Bank. In the opposite direction is the Arc de Triomphe, Ave Champs Elysees and Tour Eiffel are all just as close. And up to he Sacre Coeur: what more does anyone want. The room was clean and tidy although a little over the top with cushions! For those who choose to stay in (why) there are two English home channels BBC 1 and 2. The staff were great as were the sweets at reception (I know as I ate most of them) very welcoming. Although we placed a top mark for sleep quality at the end of the day you either have a good nights sleep or you don's, simple really you can hardly blame the hotel if you don't. All in all, a great stay, in a good central hotel. We would happly stay at this hotel again, but sadly, it is unlikely as we always want to stay in other hotels elsewhere in the surrounding area or within Paris. As they say 'variety is the spice of live': Bon journee. .

"Beautiful hotel ideally located in the centre of Paris"
sandra_flitwick, 02 Décembre 2019

My husband and I stayed for only one night, as we had tickets for the DaVinci exhibition in the Louvre. We stayed in room 607 at the back of the hotel. No view, but it was lovely and quiet and the bed was really comfortable. I had a great nights sleep. The hotel is very convenient for so many Parisian landmarks - Garnier Opera was my favourite, a must see. We reached the hotel from CDG using the Roissy bus, which leaves from Rue Auber. Breakfast was a buffet, the omelettes and pastries were delicious. This hotel will be my first choice when I return to Paris, but there are only 14 rooms, so I will need to be quick. Many thanks to the team for a lovely welcome for our short stay

"Weekend in Paris"
329AnnaA329, 11 Novembre 2019

We stayed in this hotel with my teenage daughter. Excellent hospitality, very centrally located and clean. Quick check in, we were given upgrage to deluxe room! Staff was very helpful and caring. Highly recommend this hotel to private and business travellers

"Great choice!"
marcyt864, 14 Octobre 2019

We recently spent 4 nights at the Best Western Plus Hotel Sydney Opera during our visit to Paris. It was an excellent location as it was located within walking distance to subway & train stations as well as an easy 25 minute walk to The Louvre and other sites. Our room was a suite style with what looked like a newly remodeled bathroom. The room was tastefully decorated and looked down on a courtyard. All staff were very friendly and helpful. There are numerous places to eat within amshort walking distance. I would highly recommend this property.

"Disappointing Service"
Eevee008, 13 Octobre 2019

I booked a Junior Suite in this hotel for 4 nights based on the excellent reviews by fellow travellers here. The room was fully paid for online through their website. However on the day itself I was not able to check in because my partner's father had unfortunately passed on on the same day. We asked the hotel to grant us a later date to utilise the nights we paid for. We were not even asking for a refund but to postpone the dates. However the hotel rejected our request flatly. I have booked with other hotels within this trip and all were understanding enough to either refund or postpone for us except Best Western. Totally disappointed by how this hotel operates and I will never book with their chain of hotels ever again.

"Small, comfy and good value for your money"
MickeyandMinnie2015, 26 Août 2019

Sweet and small hotel, that does not seem to belong to a big hotel chain. First I have to mention the particularly friendly and attentive staff! The rooms are small, but cosy. The house and the street/area, where it is located, are nice. The decor of the hotel is also very nice and seems to be quite new and we felt home within a short time. It can be a bit noisy from other rooms because the structure of the house is not new, but therefore I always have earplugs with me in city hotels ;-). Our room faced the inside yard, there were no noises from outside. Breakfast was small but good quality. Just one small wish: perhaps one or two more fruits would be nice. Near to Saint Lazare Station you can take the metro to get everywhere. All in all: good value for your money for a city like Paris!

"We will be back!"
leejay, 21 Juillet 2019

We had a great visit! My son and I enjoyed our stay. We had a room at the back - so super quiet (ok, no view, but who cares!). Awesome shower! Only odd thing was the little chair in our room (baby bear?). But comfortable, clean, all the amenities. Breakfast was nice, enough variety. It was a great location - close to several metros and bus stops. We really loved it!

"Great hotel for a weekend in Paris"
Vitaly S, 14 Juillet 2019

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend. Location is great, all major attractions are within walking distance, room was clean and in a very good condition, guys at reception were nice and friendly. The only thing that was not great in our case is the view from the window -- we could only see other blocks in front of us and it was pretty dark because of that. But if you're not going to spend much time in the room during the day that's not a big deal.

"Best Hotel Experience"
Nicole L, 10 Juillet 2019

This hotel is hands down one of the best I have stayed at in a while, although the Best Western name is not the biggest in the states, I decided based on the location to stay at this one. The experience was outstanding, I arrived early and my room was ready. The room size was perfect including the bathroom because most bathrooms in Paris are on the smaller side. This hotel was immaculately clean, smelled fresh, and the staff was amazing. Next time I am in Paris, I will be staying at this hotel.

"Perfect ending for our trip to Paris."
Dina808, 22 Juin 2019

I booked this hotel for a two night stay for my husband and I while visiting Paris for 8 nights. We stayed on the left bank for 6 and then transferred here for the remainder. While our previous hotel was very Parisian and quaint, we were pleasantly surprised how modern this hotel was. Our room was very clean and it was a perfect size for us. The bathroom was nice and shower spacious. Our room faced the street and it wasn't noisy at all. We loved the view! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff were kind and extremely helpful. The location was great with restaurants and cafes close by. Metro was in the vicinity of the hotel, as well as the Gare Saint-Lazare. All in all we had a perfect stay and would definitely stay here again. Merci!

"Great experience in Paris"
Excursion55622836036, 07 Juin 2019

The Best Western Plus hotel Sydney Opera exceeded my expectations. I read the reviews before booking and they did not disappoint. The front desk is very attentive and helpful. Our room was small, but that is normal in Paris. More than enough space for 2 people, and very nice decorated and very clean. Location is great in L'Opera close to 2 metro stations and easy to walk every where. Plenty of places to eat nearby. I will definitely stay here again is visiting Paris.

"Excellent location & great price too!"
Lucy B, 12 Mai 2019

We stayed here for a girly weekend in April 2019. I had booked 2 double rooms however on arrival we were upgraded on both rooms. The gentleman at reception was so polite to us and helpful. My only complaint would be that the room was very hot and we could not turn the heating down despite many attempts in the middle of the night. Location was brilliant! In walking distance of the main tourist attractions.

"A perfect little gem"
Richard H, 23 Avril 2019

Arriving on a very hot Good Friday, our taxi turned off the Boulevard Haussman and onto Rue des Mathurins to drop us off at our hotel. The smart and neat frontage heightened our expectations and we were not disappointed. We checked in without fuss and made very welcome by Rani in a reception/lounge area that was very smart, comfortable and relaxing before being shown to our rooms. These were smart, very spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. You just can't starve in Paris and we had already decided to eat out fr breakfast and dinner. Rani gave a number of suggestions for different types and budgets in the locale. We sampled one of them and it was superb. The hotel is excellently placed to enjoy all that Paris has to offer. The metro is very close, taxis can be ordered and appear within minutes and all the attractions are easily visited from this hotel as a base. At the end of what can be a very tiring day on foot, especially in the heat of an Easter break, it was fantastic to come back to a place and quiet, a large bed (an absolute must) and enjoy an undisturbed nights sleep. The shower was like a walk in the rainforest and the towels were the thickest and fluffiest it's ever been our pleasure to use. This was excellent value for money whilst providing the luxury to be expected from a visit to Paris. We highly recommend it

"Weekend in Paris"
Sheila R, 26 Mars 2019

This hotel is ideally located within walking distance of many places. We did have a slight issue with our room but this was sorted immediately. The staff were all very helpful and very knowledgable on the local area and amenities. We will be visiting again.

"Award for the most friendly staff"
Italofreak, 04 Mars 2019

This is a very good 3 star hotel nearby the big shopping malls Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. The staff is really super friendly and helpful...no kidding. Standard room is according to Paris standards rather small but OK. Breakfast is good. Metrostation is just a few minutes walk away. Merci aux collaborateurs pour la gentillesse!

"Business Trip Paris"
Relax67652746344, 20 Janvier 2019

The location of the hotel is ideal, metro, train station, shops and restaurants are in the neighbourhood and you are in the center of Paris. The hotel offers everything you need during a business trip and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out was fast. Bed was very comfortable. Great value for money.

"Was 5 untill tonight."
Paul D, 22 Novembre 2018

Called reception, asked for a bottle of wine. The guy said come and get it. So I did he was wearing slippers and could not give a toss . I wish I had his name. But you can check who was on duty this night. All the other staff are great so helpful and friendly. Mr best western get rid of this guy he is a liability.

"Lovely old style Paris hotel, unbelievably great breakfast buffet"
Capnhi9er, 07 Novembre 2018

This hotel certainly believes in service. When our taxi pulled up in front, an employee appeared instantly to take our luggage inside. Our flight got in too early for us to check in so they brought us complementary coffees and pastries in the lobby and stored our luggage as we went out to lunch. There is no lift but when we got back, they had already taken our luggage up to our room. The room was actually a one bedroom suite with a living room. It was compact but large by European standards. Everything was comfortable and quiet opening on an interior courtyard. The only reason I did not give them a 5 is that the carpet and furniture were overdue for a steam cleaning. The breakfast buffet was fabulous with hot dishes, very high quality cheeses, cold cuts and pastries with excellent coffee. The coffee system (same as in the room) has a great selection of strengths, flavors, etc. After this buffet we were disappointed in the breakfast at every other hotel we stayed in. They don't have a bar but you can buy wine, beer and snacks in the lobby and take them to your room.

"Nice Hotel, great location with a friendly staff"
grcastrom, 04 Novembre 2018

Nice Hotel, great location with a friendly staff. The room was clean and larger than expected. Walking distance from metro station (~8 min). Not too far from main attractions. We are happy with our stay and will consider for our next time.

"Nice hotel, clean and confortable.”"
Olgaleventov2201, 15 Octobre 2018

The Hotel is clean, modern and rooms very spacious. Highly recommended. The staff is extremely helpful and they want to do everything to make you happy. When visiting Paris, this hotel is a must! Highly recommended.

"Good location and good quality"
Jmcc150, 10 Octobre 2018

We stayed there for four nights. It is a small friendly place. The rooms are not huge but they are well equipped, scrupulously clean and the bed was comfortable. Both BBC1 and BBC2 on the TV! There is a good choice at breakfast. The staff were extremely help in giving recommendations and directions. The multiple Metro lines at Gare de St Lazare are a short walk, though an even longer walk to get to the right line. The big shops on Rue de Haussman are a bit further. There are several excellent restaurants within reach. Being Paris, they are not cheap. If the budget reaches that far (around 100 euro for two) : Mollard (fish and Art Nouveau), Cafe Sud are really really good. The Italian restaurant round the corner in Rue de l'Arcades is also good. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.

"Good central location, great staff!"
mick280, 03 Octobre 2018

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but is a very pleasant, comfortable place to stay in Paris. The rooms are very nice. The staff among the best anywhere, extremely helpful and genuinely caring. And the breakfast is worth paying for, delicious and generous. Ten minute stroll from the Louvre, the Seine, L'Orangerie, and lots of shops and restaurants.

"Location"
smc20152015, 02 Octobre 2018

Checked into hotel for 3 days trip of sight seeing in Paris. Even though hotel is situated in a tuck in road, it's still is within walking distance to Opera, Gallery Lafayette n etc. Room is very quite without disturbances from outside . Near to many choices of restaurant. Staff were very helpful. Will definitely be back.

"We Will Definetely Stay Here Again "
Sharon L, 01 Octobre 2018

What a lovely hotel in the heart of Paris. Everything spotless and rooms very nicely appointed. The staff are extraordinarily helpful and very pleasant. Will definitely go back to stay when we return to Paris.

"Amazing and one of the best places to stay in Paris!"
misspeeved, 17 Septembre 2018

Fantastic beyond words. All the staff were great and super helpful. Location near St Lazare was very convenient! I ended up taking buses quite often while I was there! =D I have been to Paris a few times and tried many accommodations. This is by far the best. It is not cheap but it's Paris-- nothing is cheap there!

"Great location & helpful Staff"
TomosParsons, 03 Septembre 2018

The location of the hotel is ideal, walking distance from most major attractions (Louvre, riverbank, Champs Elysees and more). When we arrived we got a free upgrade to a suite which was a very nice surprise as we were celebrating an anniversary which the staff were aware of. The reception staff were very helpful, arranging taxis, providing drinks and tips on the local area. The room itself was spacious, clean and a nice mix of modern and classic architecture with all the amenities that we needed. I was surprised that the hotel was ranked as a 3 star as I have stayed in 4 stars (and even some 5's) which have been a worse experience than this. The room was quiet and we had no disappointing features of our stay. If visiting Paris again, I would be happy to revisit this hotel.

"4nights in Paris"
Amanda P, 27 Août 2018

My mother and I had a room here for 4 nights, two twin beds. Though the room was tiny, I've heard that compared to typical Paris rooms, it was roomy in that we could actually walk around lol. Other than the size, tough, everything was fantastic. They got us checked in early, the room was well appointed and comfortable. It's situated within and easy walk of there opera house, restaurants, shops and at least four metro stations. I'd stay here again, no question.

"Lovely newly renovated hotel and friendly staff"
wanderingwendy2018, 24 Août 2018

All newly renovated beautiful hotel with immaculate rooms. Very good value and close, within 5 minutes walk, to Galeries Lafayette. Breakfast okay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room on 1st floor opposite pub is very noisy however even though apparently double glazed. Ensure you let hotel staff know so if noisy they can speak to pub management. Hotel Manager, Greti, was genuinely and extremely apologetic on hearing our experience. She was very personable and really wanted to ensure travellers had the best stay possible at the hotel. Offered free breakfast. She was also sincerely sorry to hear the remainder of our plans in France had been ruined and aborted because of short notice train strike in France cancelling all our trains. Eurostar on the other hand were the opposite and defiantly opportunistic on other peoples' dilemmas and had no empathy. Would recommend staying at this hotel as the beautiful rooms and lovely staff make a nice stay.

"Great location and adorable little hotel"
noeleencoelho, 07 Août 2018

We stayed for 3 nights in this small, classy and beautiful hotel. The rooms were small but beautiful and had all the amenities we needed. The location was perfect, just 1 km from the main areas. Breakfast was €15 per perso but worth it. Highly recommend this hotel.

"Family's first trip to Paris"
Chris D, 26 Juillet 2018

Travelled to Paris for first time with 2 teenagers. Hotel location was great for talking to many sites including Arc De Triomphe, Notre Dame, Montmartre, Champs-Élysées, metro stations. Hotel staff was so helpful with directions and printed out how to get there from hotel. Rooms were clean! Highly recommended.

"So quaint - So comfortable "
gregsV2350BP, 20 Juillet 2018

A perfect boutique hotel right in the centre of all the action. We had a superior style room which was spacious and comfortable. The staff were always very friendly and most spoke English which helped as I have atrocious French skills. We walked to the louvre and to the Main Street to visit Galleries LaFeyete.

"Great place -fantastique "
Alicia M, 18 Juillet 2018

Great place! A lovely boutique hotel with such a polite and helpful receptionist. Helped us with any enquiries. Rooms were clean upkept well. Nothing wrong with the hotel at all. Fairly close to hop on and off bus and a few cafes to have a bite to eat. Lovely

"Great choice for Paris Newbies!"
Laura B, 04 Juillet 2018

We enjoyed a great 3 night stay at this hotel during our recent visit to Paris. On our arrival the desk clerk, recognizing this was our first visit to Paris, provided us with helpful advice in English on breakfast, tourist areas, and security. He also upgraded our room for free to a larger room on the top floor with a couch and exposed beam ceiling. The room was very clean, with a good firm bed and windows that open for fresh air. A USB charger was also available for phones. We did not use the motel breakfast as there are several excellent patisseries in the neighborhood. The location is convenient to the Opera area, and within a 20 minute walk of the Louvre and Seine. We used the RoissyBus to access the hotel without difficulty. The elevator at the hotel is very tiny, and the staircase is spiral, so that may limit travelers with mobility impairments.

"Surprise weekend"
Tanya F, 21 Juin 2018

Lovely hotel in the right place for all the sites. Near the metro and the hop on hop off bus. Good restaurants near by. Most sites within walking distance Good sized quiet rooms. Staff helpfull a pub just across the road

"Hotel & Location Are Excellent"
Richard C, 20 Juin 2018

We stayed for four nights and really enjoyed the hotel (we had a big room on the 5th (top) floor) and the location. Really enjoyed the Opera area and local food / cafes / bars, but also a pleasant walking distance to key attractions like the Louvre, D'Orsay, etc. Hotel was very quiet - we slept great - and very well maintained and clean. Stay there.

"Top"
MakHongKong, 19 Juin 2018

Everything about this hotel is wonderful, the location, the room, the restaurant etc but the very thing we appreciate most is the personnel - the lady at the reception (her name is Raini?!) is super friendly and highly professional, making you feel so welcome and pampered. We definitely will stay with the same hotel again given its great software!

"Nice hotel with good location "
Anshum G, 18 Juin 2018

Very good hotel, nicely located and decent price. Went for a business trip and very happy with the cleanliness and facilities. The staff is very welcoming and good breakfast served every morning. Will visit again!

"Fantastic Location and even better hotel"
MNICH90, 18 Juin 2018

I recently stayed in this hotel over the June Bank Holiday and could not recommend this hotel more. Great location. From start to finish the hotel was extremely welcoming and helpful. We arrived as a group of four at 9am in the morning and they were able to provide one room straight away which was excellent as check in was not until 2pm. No matter what queries we had on directions etc they were always more than happy to help. Would definitely recommend this hotel to all my family and friends.

"Great Location"
araisk, 14 Juin 2018

I had to book this last minute and the staff was great. The hotel is in a very nice and safe area. it is very comfortable. In walking distance of the Opera House as well. Make sure to get the right bed. I ended up with two twin beds side by side as a double bed.

"Best Western Sydney Opera"
pzorger, 13 Juin 2018

This location was selected because we took the train to Normandy and wanted to be walking distance to train station. The rooms are small. Breakfast area nice, good menu. Staff nice and helpful.....some staff were very hard to understand. Best Western in US made our reservations......(recommended by Costco) and they did not reserve the right number of rooms. Paris Best Western said they were not responsible. One couple had to get a hotel room across the way for double the price. !!! I still have not heard from Best Western. We will not be using them again. Manager Anne-Marie Gerbault was very nice and apologetic . She contacted Best Western and sent them my email correspondence .... but still no customer satisfaction accured.

"Highly recommend!"
LauraDublin2018, 05 Juin 2018

We really enjoyed our trip to Paris and our stay in the hotel! It is in a great location and walking distance to all the main attractions. The hotel staff, in particular those on the front desk, were really helpful and friendly!

"Fanastic Hôtel"
mikemac2018, 04 Juin 2018

Everything about this hotel was top class. From the rooms, staff, and location. Sabrai at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The lady around for breakfast was also very nice! I could not fault my stay in this hotel

"Convenient and safe location in Paris"
jadelin2018, 28 Mai 2018

If you want to go shopping, this hotel is a great choice. By walking distance 10-15 minutes, you can reach high end shopping area and Lafayette mall. If you want to visit Musée du Louvre or Eiffel Tower, it's close to subway station with 5 mins walking, too.

"Rani is wonderful!!"
tuxedocat907, 29 Avril 2018

It was our 1st trip to Paris and Rani was at the BW Plus Sydney Opera desk during much of our stay. She provided a map, suggestions, directions -- whatever we needed. Her manner, always professional, was also very friendly and interested. The hotel itself is in a great location with great little restaurants about 1 block from the hotel. Our room was bright and comfortable with a great bath/shower. Wonderful stay.

"Great Stay at Best Western Plus Sydney Opera"
atxgrl79, 22 Avril 2018

Upon arrival i was happy with the location of the hotel as well as the friendly greeting i received. i was offered complimentary hot tea and they also had other beverages available for a fee. This is a small hotel however the rooms are more than adequate. i had a separate bedroom and sitting area with a tv in each room. The bathroom was small however i loved the shower. The water pressure was great and it got really hot. there was a functioning window in the sitting room and they kept a tea kettle, coffee pot and cups and glasses clean and readily available. the safe worked as expected and i felt very safe. the only thing i found to be different was when you leave the room you must leave your room key at the front desk. they give it back to you upon your return, it wasn't bad just different. it does keep one from losing or misplacing the key while out and about. the front desk staff was always polite and helpful. this was my first trip to Paris and i found the location to be really good for my needs. there were several pharmacies within minutes of the hotel, bars and restaurants and small grocery stores. it was quick and easy to reach the metro stops to get around town. my only con is that the elevator is extremely small but the stairs worked just fine for me lol. this is a quiet hotel, very clean and safe with polite staff. i definitely recommend this hotel to others who are looking for these qualities.

"Brilliant Hotel - even better location!"
Rachel M, 26 Mars 2018

This hotel is in a great location for exploring Paris. About 20 minute walk from all the main sites! A five minute walk from Auber Station, which is only one change from the main line from Charles De Gaulle. Free espresso in the lobby all day every day with a variety of complimentary snacks at the front foyer. The staff were all so lovely and friendly - made us feel very welcome. The rooms aren't massive but there's enough room! Comfy beds with a separate toilet / shower room. We were just in a standard room I should add! The shower was amazing! The hotel is very clean and well presented. Would highly recommend! Very well priced too.

"great location"
paulgray1, 21 Mars 2018

Stayed there for 4 nights.Luckily we were upgrade to a deluxe room.It is a small, homely hotel and the room was lovely and relatively spacious and very clean. The staff were very helpful and attentive so I have no complaints at all. The main reason for choosing the hotel was its location in the L'Opera area and this hotel was perfect for us and meeting our family(who were staying in the same district) for exploring Paris.

"Excellent Value -Great Location"
usbasho, 20 Mars 2018

Stayed 3 nights for work and leisure. Right size rooms for Paris, with just enough elbow room comfortably for two. Great location on a very nice street, within 5 minutes walking to St. Lazare rail station and tons of other useful spots and restaurants. Extremely nice and welcoming reception and very well cleaned and maintained guest rooms - Excellent Value For Money without going down market.

"Great Paris Hotel"
humph4u, 19 Mars 2018

Really comfortable and relax experience. The staff of the hotel, specially Greti during arrival and stay was very friendly and helpful. Sabari was always smiling and cordial, helping us with everything we needed it. Great staff, the best of this hotel. Rooms were small but very clean and comfortable. The location is great, very quiet but close to restaurants and attractions. We'll be back. Highly recommended.

"5 Stars again - super staff"
JPDeby, 15 Mars 2018

Travelling a lot for work, hotel can make a lot of difference in the way you apprehend a week. The rooms and location are important but service is what makes a stay memorable. This hotel has it all. Great cosy rooms in a well located area of Paris with a great friendly staff. I can only recommend it.

"Safe, comfortable, well appointed rooms, great location"
Duponthockey, 10 Janvier 2018

Lovely hotel. Such a different Best Western. Highly recommend. Front desk staff the best. Sarabi, Greti, and others I can't remember. Always felt safe and a nice place to come back to after a full day. Housekeeping does an excellent job, the rooms, bathrooms etc. are impeccable. Loved the room decor - cozy and well appointed. Quaint place to stay on Rue Des Mathurins.....Thank you for treating us so well. I would stay here again in a New York minute.

"BW Sydney Opera"
sierrakh, 09 Janvier 2018

I have stayed here several times. For many years I stayed at the BW Folkestone Opera . This family owned both the Sydney and Folkestone, but a little over a year ago sold the Folkestone, so I have been going to Sydney. But I stayed at the Folkestone since maybe 2002 several times a year. I would recommend either one. The staff from Folkestone has carried over to the Sydney. Great group. Plan on being there this Feb.

"Beautiful hotel in a great location"
TTown56th, 01 Novembre 2017

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Paris because of this hotel. It was extremely well laid out, great location, wonderful rooms.......... It gave us a great spot to come home to each evening. Wonderful front desk staff that assisted us with directions and cab reservations. Would stay here again!

"Relaxing, great staff"
janrA2759SE, 10 Octobre 2017

We loved this hotel so much the first time that we stayed there again. It had been updated since we were last there and it was even better! The rooms are comfortable, clean and so conducive to relaxing after a busy day. The staff is amazing! They speak excellent English and were so helpful. One staff member ordered us a cab to the airport the night before and another staff member made sure our cab driver was getting us to the correct terminal the next morning. The location is convenient to the metro and to restaurants.

"Positively surprised by Best Western"
Flanders59, 01 Octobre 2017

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel in June 2017 in room #100 with a friend from America. We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was cosy with a good bathroom, lots of mirrors and plugs, no street noise (although at the side of the street), lots of TV stations, perfect location. The room had a rather small cupboard but it was OK for a few days. Breakfast (at 15 euro pp) is served in a "corner" of the lobby and is nothing grand but good enough. Location is very central (about 15 min' walk to Jardin des Tuilleries). The only thing we did not like so much was the fact that the nearest metro station is a 15 min' walk away. Also, the staff was a bit difficult to deal with. The girl overseeing the "breakfast service" was very friendly as was one of the guys at reception, although the latter only seemed to speak English and was of little use when it came to getting help with practical things. It seemed like he didn't know Paris at all. The other (male)receptionist was rather rude and condescending (to women?) and not helpfulo at all. It was a good thing we are seasoned travellers and had the internet for travel guidance. Would probably not stay there again but try to find a similar hotel closer to a metro station. Having said that, our overall experience was a positive one, so don't let my review "scare you away".

"Excellent"
mariabatrakova, 30 Septembre 2017

It hasn't been our first stay at Best Western Sydney Opera . This hotel is an excellent accommodation that totally fits in the category of any Best Western and as well 3 star hotel. The stuff is polite and efficient, the room was clean and comfortable.

"Lovely tTime"
darren b, 26 Septembre 2017

Ok, boys and girls, loved staying there. you can walk to most places are with 30 mins. staff get great and helped loads. clean rooms nice shower and good service. Will be there again in Dec 2017 and again Feb 2018

"Excelent hotel, great location, excelent service from Sabari"
dca2008, 22 Septembre 2017

We have been to Paris, maybe three times, but this hotel was the best. The location was great, close to the big boulevards, 700m to the Opera, close to buses and metro station. The room had everything we need. When we got there, we have been upgraded because we had a child with us.Thanks. The guy that works at the reception, Sabari, Sabori, was the best. He went over his obligations, he gave us the advises, where and how to get where we need it. The breakfast was good, initially I declined, but Sabari got us a great deal. There is a bus that goes on the route Airport CdG to Opera, I think is Roissy... But we took the taxi, and the price is less then 60Euro, to the hotel. I said this, because from the airport are many people that will try to charge you more, so it is good to know the price, to negotiate them down. From the hotel it is easier, just ask Sabari and it is done..... The room had all the amnesties that we need. Big tv, fridge, safe box, nice and clean bathroom. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

"A small and charming hotel"
ultafiolett, 13 Septembre 2017

I spent three night at this hotel with my daughter. The service was excellent. Everyone at the reception (especially Sabari), and the ladies preparing breakfast, were friendly and very service minded. The breakfast was good, but I missed fresh vegetables. The rooms very clean, comfortable and pleasant. The area was lovely and the Louvre, the Tuileries and Lafayette were within a pleasant walk away. Had some great hours walking in the Tulieries with my daughter, feeding the birds that ate from our hands, and drinking coffee while watching people pass by. I will definitly use this hotel again, and I reccommend it to anyone.Very good value, good location and first class service.

"Fantastic place to stay"
Debbie S, 08 Septembre 2017

Love this hotel! Amazing rooms, friendly helpful staff what more do you want. The rooms are beautiful, just can't fault. Sooo clean and comfortable. Close to where we wanted to be Would highly recommend and would love to return

"Loved it, just loved it."
Siv-HildeL, 04 Septembre 2017

What a place. Warm welcoming and a very good first impressing. In France there sometimes are diffeculty to find english speaking front personal, but the staff here spike english very well. Good for us who are spesk frence like a foregin child in kindergarden. And the room, so delicate and fine. Really good bed and delicate decorations. We loved it. We will befently book here again.

"Excellent Hotel"
moseskids, 21 Août 2017

We stayed at the BW Hotel Sydney Opera for five nights during our recent trip to Paris. We had an amazing stay, the hotel staff was most accommodating, specifically Sabari at the front desk. He was very helpful, always attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. We will most definitely be staying here on our next visit to Paris. Centrally located, comfortable, and very clean.

"Great Location, Great Staff"
daddyball6, 18 Août 2017

My wife and I spent two nights here, it is within walking distance to many sights and attractions, tons of cafes and restaurants and multiple Metro stops. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Sabari who went out of his way to assist us. We would absolutely stay here again without question and recommend this hotel to first time Paris visitors as we were. Very safe area.

"Great service, nice rooms"
Kelley L, 09 Août 2017

First time at this hotel but we were treated great. We had an early arrival flight from Venice and took our taxi straight to the hotel when we arrived Sabri informed us that checkin was 2 pm and we had arrived really early 9 am. We explained we were all tired. He worked his magic while we went and had breakfast in a Cafe and when we got back two of our three rooms were ready!!! Sabri was amazing he suggested a good French restaurant to eat and little cafes for breakfast since we opted out of the hotel breakfast. He help us find was to get to sights and even printed out maps, along with providing a city map...the service was definitely 5 star. Can't say much about the hotel breakfast as we never had it but it looked decent. The hotel is located about a 20 min walk from the Arch of Triumph and about a 45 min walk from the Eiffel Tower ( we walked a lot). If walking isn't your thing then there is the large metro station a 5 min walk from the hotel that can get you just about most places and there are other single line stations about around the hotel. The rooms were small but not tiny a good size really and that's what we expected in Europe. Overall we had a great stay and will definitely go back next time we are in Paris.

"Excellent hotel"
Linsey J, 09 Août 2017

Just returned from our first trip to Paris. Could not have got a better hotel. Spotlessly clean. Room was very comfortable with a nice en suite with walk in shower. We booked a superior room which had everything you could need including fridge, safe, kettle, coffee machine, hairdryer and large tv with BBC1 and 2. All staff were very polite and helpful. Location was close to the Opera House. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. About 25 mins to Arc de Triomph. We walked everywhere rather than using metro or buses. We did get a two day ticket for the hop on and off boats which we thought were really good. We used the Roissy Bus to and from the airport. It was really easy to find when you come out of the airport. Cost 12 euros each way. Only 5 mins walk fro. Hotel and goes every 15 mins. We loved Paris and this Hotel and will definitely return.

"Not my first time here"
RonWaer, 02 Août 2017

I've stayed in this hotel before. The rooms are all different and all the ones I've been in have recently been refurbished. The staff is personable and attentive. The rooms are good size (by Paris standards). Get a room off the rear courtyard. It's much quieter.

"Best Location, Family Friendly"
903shivakumarn, 23 Juillet 2017

Best Western is conveniently located within walking distance from two major Metro Stations- Saint Augustine and St. Lazare and provides access to all across city. It is surrounded by variety of restaurants and in particular for (us) Vegans / vegetarians - Boco and Spezia restaurants. Simple but fulfilling breakfast option and family friendly staff - Aliénor & Sabari Very family friendly, strongly recommend

"Excellent stay in room 504"
Courla, 16 Juillet 2017

I stayed only 1 night on business in July. Wished I stayed longer because really the room was excellent, and for the price I payed an incredible value compared to similar price range hotels in Paris. Ask for 504. It's a junior suite, recently renovated with a kick-a bathroom. The hotel is really well run, the staff very friendly. Location is very good not the greatest but a nice and safe area and plenty of shopping within 5 min walk if you're into that. Breakfast is very good, excellent bedding and cleanliness, very quiet room too. I think this hotel is the best I have stayed at in this price range and I will definitely come back for my next trip to Paris. Thanks to the entire staff!!

"Very happy"
User, 13 Juillet 2017

Nice hotel. Good air conditioning especially when it was close to 35 degrees C. Room not huge but it's expected when in a hotel in Paris. walking distance to the main sights. Friendly staff available day and night. The best hotel wifi I've had, unlimited usage and fast unlike some hotels. The rooms and lobby area was well cleaned each day. The member of staff on the front desk was happy to help print our transfer reservation and he did it the minute we asked. Would definitely stay again.

"Great hotel"
Ksenia Z, 13 Juillet 2017

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. Clean room, comfortable bed and very friendly staff. The location of the hotel is within easy reach to La Fayette, Madeleine and St Lazare. I would recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay in the center of Paris!

"What a find! Best place to stay in Paris"
Michelle M, 19 Juin 2017

We did not know Paris very well and chose to stay at a hotel near the Paris Opera house. What a wonderful choice. This hotel is not more than 7 minutes walk from the Roissey bus stop. This is the bus that runs from the airport to the Paris Opera house. One stop for 11.50 euros! The area is top notch. It is right in the middle of where one gets the buses, Metro, shops, restaurants. The hotel staff are wonderful. They were very friendly and kind. The hotel is clean, quiet and has all the amenities one needs for a short stay. This is a gem of a hotel.

"lovely place"
labyrinthtwilight, 18 Juin 2017

I had great experience staying at this hotel. Nice and friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. The breakfast buffet is a great treat! I highly recommended! We stayed at the side facing the street but I didn't notice the noise much.

"Our Daytime Stay"
John P, 06 Juin 2017

Once in a while a gem of a hotel deserves to be given the praise it deserves. Although my wife and I were transients and only booked to stay for one day (10am to 4pm) we were simply in awe of the attention and service provided by the hotel's staff. This was complemented by the excellent accommodation. Our only regret is that our stay is such a short one!

"Great Value"
James L, 05 Juin 2017

Stayed here 3 nights in May 2017. Took the Roissybus from the airport which dropped us a few minutes away from the hotel. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Front desk staff was very helpful. Walking distance to all major attractions in Paris.Overall a great stay and very happy with the value this hotel provided for the cost.

"A great hotel to stay in Paris"
olivia r, 01 Juin 2017

It is a small hotel but very nice and clean. I booked a deluxe room and it was spacious and nice room. The location is near the shopping centre such as Galleries Lafayette and Printemps Mode. It has been a wonderful stay.

"Nice crew, very clean hotel"
Refik A, 22 Mai 2017

Crew was very helpful and the room and the rest of the hotel were so clean. It was a bit pricey but worth it. Room was small but useful. Had good location, easy access to both st. Lazare and St. Agustin metro stations.

"The room was too small"
baseyoldi, 11 Mai 2017

I saw pictures of very nice rooms on the internet, but our room was very small like 10 metersquares. But it was very clean and good located. If you do not have a type of claustrophobia like me this may not be a problem for you.

"Great little hotel in good location"
john h, 02 Mai 2017

Another visit to this excellent hotel which is well placed for sightseeing and shopping. Rooms compact - ours (103) was small but was very well furnished - and very quiet. Staff very helpful - attentive and anxious to please. Nothing too much trouble. This was our second visit - we shall be back.

"Friendly and welcoming hotel"
Arabella G, 11 Avril 2017

Stayed at the hotel to run the Paris Marathon. Only a 20 minute walk to the start line (Champs Elysees) so really ideal for anyone running! The staff at the hotel were lovely – couldn't fault them at all! Were on hand to help with any questions and just generally friendly! Room was ready slightly earlier which was ideal and they looked after all of our bags after check out. Great hotel for the price, in a great location, super close to supermarkets, 4 metro lines and only 20 minutes from Gare du Nord. Breakfast was available for an extra 15 euros per person, but we didn't make use of this, room had a safe, fridge, kettle and tea and coffee making facilities - would definitely stay again!

"Good location, great value."
sally h, 02 Avril 2017

The hotel was basic in that there was no proper bar or restaurant, but they had a small area for breakfast if required and a comfortable lounge area where they would mix you a drink if required. I wasn't intending to spend much time in the hotel as I was on a sightseeing mini break. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had tea and coffee making facilities in the room and they provided good quality toiletries for the bathroom, which were replenished daily. I would definitely recommend this hotel for short stays.

"Very Nice Hotel"
Richard S, 28 Mars 2017

Stayed here for 3 nights in March 2017. The hotel decor was very nice and our room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is in a good location. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. Also was good value for money in central Paris.

"Great for a short stay"
Onur O, 25 Mars 2017

We only stayed for one night during a business trip but i really liked this small and nice hotel. First of all the staff was really helpful and polite. The hotel's location is very convenient and rooms are very cosy and clean. The bed is comfortable and i liked the lively colors used in the decoration of the room. I do not why but the bathroom floor was freezing cold so generally the bathroom was cold making you think twice before taking a shower. The breakfast was below expectations but ok for one day. I will definitely consider staying here again in my next trip.

"BW Sydney Opera"
sierrakh, 15 Mars 2017

these people are so great to me. Was planning on going last week in Feb. Doc wouldn't let me go, Hope to go in June. clean, nice breakfast bar, good desk staff, just an all around great bunch. Good location for the buses or the metro, short walk to Tuilieres, Concorde, Madeleine, Fauchon, 1 1/2 blocks to Printemps, Galleries L

"Super clean"
SemiramideAppiano, 27 Novembre 2016

Practical hotel in a good location with all basic services provided. Rooms are immaculate; furniture is brand new, and beds are really confortable. Room and bathroom are on the small side, but this is fairly common for Parisian standards. Helpful staff. Would definitely return.

"Quite nice"
OVS83, 24 Novembre 2016

I stayed in another hotel very close by earlier this year, and let's just say I decided not to go back. But this one- I very likely will.. Pros: amazing location, great staff, spacious rooms, clean and warm water available all the time. Breakfast isn't lavish, but enough Cons: my room was on the 5th floor and the elevator goes up until 4th floor only. Having said that, the stairs aren't much and staff help you with bags Hotel is a bit outdated, but I didn't mind the rustic look of the rooms Definitely recommended

"Nice Stay"
RicA82, 22 Novembre 2016

I stayed four nights at this hotel and it was a great stay, the staff is very friendly, the room was very comfortable, I was on the main floor not to far from the breakfast area and offices so I thought it might be noisy but it was not at all. The location is perfect for the St Lazare train station, it is only at most a 10 minute walk. The metro is also close by allowing for easy access to the tourist sites.

"Great"
Moslem P, 20 Novembre 2016

Nice place, small room but still comfortable, excellent Internet speed, very good English speaking and helpful staffs, 10 minutes to metro stations, 20 minutes walking to champs elessy avenue, 30 minutes walking to luvere musume, and 40 minutes walking to eifel tower. I will stay here in my next trip.

"Great Location in Paris"
rikistev, 31 Octobre 2016

This hotel in Paris was a great location for our short trip. Near the Metro, restaurants, bakeries, and bars. The bed was very comfortable. Our room, 506, was interior to the hotel so very quiet at night. The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel and would strongly consider staying here again on a return trip.

"Great place"
o a, 26 Octobre 2016

I was looking for an hotel in a good location at a reasonable price and chose this one. It was perfect. The location is central, the rooms are clean and not that small. The staff was very very helpful with everything we needed. If I'll visit Paris again, I'll choose this hotel for sure.

"Location is everything!!"
LollaNYC, 22 Octobre 2016

We arrived a lil early and they got us the room w/o have to wait. Our room was 601, close to reception, everything was impeccable clean, all the time!!! The bed was amazing, I had a very nice sleep every night after walking all over Paris!! The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was perfect!!! The location of this hotel is great, next to St Lazare train station, next to Printemps and Lafayette, Madeleine...

"Great location and staff. Well maintained. "
rayofash, 18 Octobre 2016

This hotel is just near Opera & Madeline n metro station St. Lazare. It's got a lot of access to shops with Printemps n Lafayette being within walking distance. The staff are all very sweet n polite. Helpful too. The room though small was very comfortable n had all amenities. I found the lack of privacy of my room (605) bit concerning as it overlooked a porch with tables for having breakfast or just sitting. Luckily it was cold so no one sat outside. It's also a bit low on sound proofing All in all I enjoyed my stay of four nights a lot despite few niggling issues.

"Very helpful staff"
kamiki2, 18 Octobre 2016

A great hotel with very helpful staff. On our arrival we were greeted by very helpful male receptionist, who tended to all our wants and answered all our questions, he just could not have been any more helpful. Our room was pristine with a more than adequate spotless .en-suite. Should I wish to criticize, then it would be with the en-suite, we are both vertically challenged (short legs) getting into the shower which was over the bath was a bit of a climb as the bath was quite high. Once in the shower a tall person i.e. 6 foot and above would have a problem as the ceiling is quite low I am around 5'8 and the ceiling was only about 1-2 inches above my head. the bath surface being slippery caused a problem getting out as it was again a bit of a climb and there were no grab handles or anything on which to support your self and prevent slipping. That apart the room was perfect, the beds clean and very comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep. Breakfast is a buffet style with as much as anyone could want available. The choice is plentiful, how ever the only hot food is soft or hard boiled eggs, which you do yourself in a small boiler. Cold hard boiled eggs are available on the buffet. There is ample choice of fruit juice, cereal, fresh fruit, croissants, cakes, biscuits, an assortment of breads, and endless tea and coffee. The lady that tends the buffet, is extremely pleasant and she ensures that everything is topped up at all times. This is definitely an hotel to return to, I would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Paris, being only three minutes walk to the nearest Metro station, ideal for getting around Paris. Only word of warning is, there appears to be no lift to the first floor, this has to be reached via the stairs, so if you have heavy cases or have a physical problem with stairs, ensure either a ground floor room or one on one of the upper floors.

"Wonderful Staff, Great Location"
Jennifer H, 22 Septembre 2016

We stayed here for a little over a week while my husband was in town on business. The staff were all very friendly and very accommodating, especially the front desk staff who helped us in translating some papers in french so we could activate the sim cards for our phones. Our room was always very clean and tidy when we returned. There are some very good restaurants nearby (we recommend Casa Dell'Estelle, Spezia, and Chez Papa) and within walking distance to the Plaza de la Concorde and surrounding museums. Or if you would rather not walk, very close to trains or buses that will get you where you need to go. My husband prefers this hotel when he comes to Paris for work and I can see why, it has been wonderful!

"Couldn't be happier"
pommybattler, 19 Septembre 2016

This little hotel is a gem. It's right in the heart of the city without being too close to the tourist spots. The hotel is tucked away in a back street but there are a wealth of little restaurants, cafes and pubs to suit almost any taste. It is also within easy walking distance of Madeleine and several other train stations as well as the Champs Elysee, Tuilleries Gardens and the main tourist bus route that can take you almost anywhere you want to go. I stayed here for 11 nights and the staff perpetually have a smile on their faces and couldn't be more helpful. The wifi could be improved and breakfast could do with a bit of variety but it's good value and there are plenty of options if you want to eat out. I'd definitely come here again.

"excellent location"
mark295424, 31 Août 2016

Very nice reasonably priced hotel, which is in a great location and within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions. In fact its location is close to many restaurants and shops. Thoroughly recommended.

"Great Hotel, Lovely Staff, Clean updated rooms!"
v135, 29 Août 2016

Lovely staff! Seriously accommodating in every way! CLEAN! Quiet air-conditioning. Beautiful comfortable reasonably priced. Close to both La Harve and La Madeline Metro. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. We stayed for an entire week. Would recommend this hotel to everyone!!!! Very good breakfast too.

"Good hotel"
llrs26, 03 Août 2016

The minute you step in this hotel you are welcomed by a warm personnel. They speak very good English. Everybody is very nice and helpful. We booked two rooms as I was traveling with my husband and two teenage daughters. Our room was upgraded to a suite, this was very thoughtful as we spent some time in the room as a family, to have a quick breakfast or for a cold dinner at night when we return tired after a long walk. We walked everywhere from this hotel. To the Madeleine, to Champs Élysées, to the Opera, to the Notre Dame. We took the Metro to reach Montmartre and Versailles. The upgraded room also gave little space for our luggage. My daughters regular room was small, which was expected in a european hotel. The rooms were always kept clean and tidy. I considered the breakfast pricey, it lacked variety especially fresh fruits. The Monoprix nearby gave much more at a lower price, especially the fresh juice, and the hot rolls!!!!! My youngest left her money in the room the last night of our stay, which was a mistake. This is a rule that she learned the hard way. I am sure that the administration wouldn't accept such a breach, and couldn't be held responsible. We noticed the loss on our way back, it was a hard comeback. This incident put aside, we loved this hotel and the front desk team. Each one of them tried his best.

"Holiday"
Steve Z, 25 Juillet 2016

Very nice and clean hotel with great staff and very friendly. Well situated with amazing restaurants in the little back streets nearby. The best restaurants are away from all the tourists with the most amazing bakery 20m from the hotel. It is also close to shops and shopping center and if you feel like a 30 min walk to the arc de triomf. On the way there is an unlimited supply of high end shopping.

"A good place to stay, accentuated by excellent staff!"
jjpuck, 23 Juillet 2016

The Best Western Hotel Sydney Opera is a nice place to stay if you are seeking a good location, reasonable rate, and a quality sleep bed. Before continuing, I read through the last year's reviews and then the reviews with lower scores. A few things should be addressed that was not covered. First, the older reviews of 3 or lower stars referred to several deficiencies that no longer exist: the staff is very kind, the rooms and common areas are very clean, the staff speaks very good English, basically - the 2016 traveler should have no concerns at all about staying at the HS-Opera. People make all the difference. The staff here are very kind. They went out of their way to ensure any need I had was met. They were genuinely interested in making sure my stay went well. I left something behind and they emailed me before I got too far asking if I would like them to mail it to me, without mention of a charge for the service. (Didn't need it, so they threw it away at my request.) That was a nice touch, showing their concern for the customer. The deluxe queen bed room with breakfast was the mid-range priced room at the hotel. It was very spacious, uncommon for Paris. The price difference to the next grade down was about 65 euros per night. If you prefer the space, it was worth it. If you are coming to sleep, and go immediately out all day, maybe not. Overall, it was perfect for me, and see the three pictures I put up shortly to show the room. jjpuck pictures. The bathroom was a good size with two sinks. Travelers need to be aware that to use the room safe, you must leave 50 euros cash with the front desk as a deposit for the safe key. Yep. A key. They don't tell you that until you get there. The air conditioning worked excellent which is imperative as the top floor was hot, and the first night it was 38 Celsius-the hottest day yet in Paris. The breakfast was excellent. Parisians eat so little for breakfast usually, that this buffet was a treat. There was no shortage of variety for a week's stay. Typical European fare of cheeses, breads, croissants (much better in France), juices, hard boiled and soft boiled eggs, and more. Things to note: the elevator is tiny and everywhere has stairs, so I'm not quite sure if it is handicap accessible. The room has thin walls between the bathroom and the room next door. It was really noticeable in the bathroom, but not in the main room. Emphasize: really thin between the bathroom and next door room. Really. Booking on TripAdvisor was good, but when I picked this room for the larger space, I couldn't pick one traveler. The system made me have two. Price was the same, but it took an email to Paris to clear it up. The booking system needs some repair, but that is not the hotel's issue. Overall, I would stay there again. It was near the train station, near the Opera House. Very near excellent dining all around. Especially to the North and slightly West. (I will review a great restaurant nearby in a sea of excellent options). The main reason to return was the people. Very kind, helpful, and made up for any shortcoming. Happy travels. J.

"Great hotel!"
Gaelle F, 24 Juin 2016

Good welcome from the staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable bedrooms. Very well placed in Paris, closed to the Grands Magasins, boulevard Haussmann, St Lazare train station, La Madeleine, Opera, etc... I often go to Paris for business and I always stay there because of all these reasons. I truly recommand.

"Cosy and friendly"
JPDeby, 23 Juin 2016

Great staff and great rooms. The rooms are not big but decorated with taste. Good beds. Very quiet when you are on the back or have a view on the patio. Good continental breakfast. Also in a nice neighbourhood with a large choice of restaurants and easy access to the Metro and Gare St Lazard.

"Good, well located hotel"
philay, 16 Juin 2016

A very well located hotel, walking distance to many sights, shopping and dining options and with good transport links very nearby too. Multiple train/metro lines to choose from within easy walk. On a reasonably quiet side street. Friendly, helpful and welcoming service with a good standard of English spoken and very tolerant of my poor French skills. Decent breakfast and excellent value for Paris. Rooms are modern and well equipped. On the small side, but not unusually so for central Paris. Competitively priced for a hotel of this standard, so would recommend it and would stay again if in the area.

"Exceeds expectations"
angela c, 08 Juin 2016

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days. From the moment I walked in, I was taken care of. The front desk clerk was detailed, efficient and informative. He set the tone of my stay at this place. The hotel, itself, is very small, but the king room was comfortable and surprisingly spacious. My room was amazingly clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and just nice. In addition, whereas the lighting in many hotel rooms tends to be dark or dim these days, the lighting in my room was bright. The only weird aspect of the room was that the toilet was in its own separate room, so when you are done with the toilet, you have to open the door and walk around to the sink to wash your hands. I purchased the breakfast package for just a little more, and I would highly recommend it. The breakfast is not only available until 11am, but you can get it delivered to your room! The breakfast included is a continental breakfast but the offerings were delicious and fresh. It was very convenient to have a quick breakfast before going out for a day of subways, walking and exploration! The woman working the breakfast area was also attentive and helpful. She was also gracious to let me partake in the breakfast when I was late. The hotel is also close to a few subway stations and is in an area that has a lot to offer. The area is fun to explore by foot. It was very easy to get to the Eiffel tower and other attractions in the city. This was one of the best Best Westerns I have stayed in.

"EXCELLENT location. Good for matches at Stade de France and Roland Garros"
Doreen O, 02 Juin 2016

Fantastic little hotel. Rooms are small but this is Paris! Very clean, quiet and everything you need, including tea/coffee maker and free wifi. Bus and Train 5 mins walk away. Good location for Roland Garros or Stade de France as 32 bus on next street takes you straight there. Walking distance to Louvre. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast continental style only.

"Best Western - Best little hotel in Paris"
Graham T, 01 Juin 2016

This hotel came recommended from someone who is well travelled and we were not disappointed by the recommendation. The hotel is well located only two blocks from Gare Saint-Lazare or just over two blocks to Havre – Caumartin a Metro Station and only a block back from Boulevarde Haussmann and two blocks away from the L'Open Tour Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Company's miain office. We had room 102 which is a twin room at the front of the hotel overlooking Rue des Mathurins and the Cricketer Hotel across the road. The staff were excellent and always ready to help you. They couldn't do enough for us. The hotel was lovely - comfortable, clean, a good location. A very good breakfast was served buffet style in a small eating area on the ground floor and there are many fine restaurants serving everything from French, Italian and Japanese cuisines as well as several brasseries nearby.

"Ideal location for work and leisure"
Jon W, 31 Mai 2016

We spent a few days at the Sydney Opera which was excellent. Staff were very friendly and couldn't be any more helpful. Breakfast was fresh, well presented and offered plenty of choice to suit different tastes. The bedroom was very well decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. Plenty of decent places to eat and drink nearby and the cricketers bar opposite is ideal for Brits who like a little taste of home and seemed to stay open until very late.

"Excellent central Paris small hotel"
PHILIP E, 18 Mai 2016

This hotel was a find,my wife and I would stay there on future visits. It is in a relatively quiet street, in central Paris , close to L'Opera and Gare St Lazare. It was well appointed with small but comfortable bedrooms/bathrooms.Simple ample breakfast. Very helpful staff. Excellent value

"OK for a quick journey"
NicoB31, 03 Mai 2016

Hotel room are small but nice and clean yet the isolation between room are very poor and great chances you hear your neighbour doing...whatever well located nevertheless and quite convenienet to travel in Paris , closed to metro/train station

"Perfect location, great service"
viajero2203, 03 Avril 2016

This hotel exceeded my expectations! Great location, two blocks from the metro stations. Nice restaurants and cafes near by. Great shopping area! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful! Also great value for money. I would definetly stay again.

"Exceeded expectations in every way"
PhilnSal, 29 Mars 2016

When booking this hotel we did of course check the reviews. First reaction was wow! Nearly 5 for a "Best Western" read on....... This small, but perfect hotel needs to be rated much higher. First impressions, very elegant, clean and well kept. But wait until you meet the team! We have never found a hotel with such a charming, helpful and accommodating team as we found here at the Sydney Opera. Nothing was too much trouble which not only included looking after our baggage until the evening on the day we left but having our flight cancelled at midnight and eventually making our way back to Paris the following morning, we stopped by to ask a huge favour of looking after our baggage again? They not only offered without hesitation but also offered us a room. This is beyond excellent customer service, thank you too all. Now for the traveller bits: yes wifi is free and very fast! All bathroom essentials are supplied. Plenty of euro sockets in bedroom for charging the mobile needs of today including a iPhone / iPad charging doc with USB outlets. Fridge and safe also free. There is a small drinks counter in reception where softs and wine etc can be purchased for room consumption. Honestly there are so many dining choices within walking distance we did not require bedtime snacks. Hotel location could not be better, easy walking distance for Champs Elysses, Louvre, Notre Dame and, of course, the Eiffel Tower. Recommendation: Bateaux Mouches ( boat trip, best in the evening ) If I could give hotels awards, this hotel would top my list!

"The perfect place to stay in Paris"
Zealand_UK, 21 Mars 2016

Hotels can certainly make or ruin your holiday - Hotel Sydney Opera helped make mine a perfect weekend in Paris! The hotel staff are among the friendliest and helpful in any hotel I have stayed in previously. They made me very welcome on arrival and were always on hand to advise / guide throughout my stay (fluent in English as well for those of us who didn't pay quite enough attention during French lessons at school). The location of the hotel is absolutely ideal - my weekend was a mix of sport and tourism and I found it so easy to travel to where I needed to be from the hotel (St Lazare station is about 5 mins walk with its national rail, metro and RER links). As a rough guide I was able to get to the Parc de Princes within 30 mins, Stade de France within 20 mins and Eiffel Tower within 25 mins from St Lazare station. In addition to transport links the hotel is within walking distance of Place de la Concorde and Champs Elysee (20-25 mins walk) or high street style shops on Boulevard Haussmann (10 mins walk) and I felt the surrounding area was quiet, clean and safe. My hotel room was very spacious, clean and included en-suite bath/shower, safe, tea making facilities, phone, TV, hairdryer, various toiletries etc - basically it had everything I needed and much more besides. All in all I had a fantastic time in Paris and the hotel and staff at Sydney Opera helped make it particularly memorable (as did the the rugby result on the Saturday night!). Many thanks to them and I'll certainly be staying there again on my future visits to Paris.

"The highlight of our stay in Paris"
jhughe39, 15 Mars 2016

The best thing about our trip to Paris was this amazing hotel. It is in a great neighborhood with lots of cafe's and restaurants and (unlike many other parts of Paris) it felt safe to walk around the neighborhood. Also, if you like shopping, there is a huge main street for shopping nearby. Every member of staff we met had excellent English and went above and beyond to help us. We had the junior suite which was a lovely room with a nice large bathroom (a rarity in European hotels). Also, the bathroom had a towel warmer which became our drying rack for clothes we rinsed. The room had two large double windows which could be opened easily and the room was nice and bright. There are several small local grocery stores nearby as well as a larger Marks & Spencers. Definitely use the in room safe. It is very easy to use. We put everything (passports, cash, ipods, laptop) in there and just carried 1 credit card and 50 euro each around with us each day. The free wifi was great, We had no problems with connecting and it was pretty fast. We enjoy walking so it was no problem for us to walk to the Louvre and Notre Dame. We also rode the open top big bus tour and the stop was close to the hotel. Also, the giant opera house (inspiration for Phantom of the Opera) is near there. Overall, this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and if I return to Paris, I will definitely stay there again.

"Consistantly Good"
Joanne A, 13 Mars 2016

Stayed at this hotel for 8 nights in February 2016. Room has been recently renovated with new amenities, walk in rain shower, marble bench tops. Interiors remind me of Modern American style décor in dark wood and neutrals with subtle bronze and dark red accent, soft furnishings. Large double glazed window, with block out curtains opened onto court yard, for fresh air. Our room, I think from memory, was Rm. 102 and accessible via small lift or stairs and very quiet. The room had individual adjustable air-con, desk and built in cupboard with kettle and a small drink fridge. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast consisted of extensive continental type offerings of juices, cereals, boiled eggs, yoghurt, pastries, breads and baked custard, tea or coffee for what I thought, very reasonably priced. There's an English style pub across the road, a pharmacy next door and some really good restaurants within 100 mtrs walk. Saint Lazare train station is 10 minutes walk and large department stores around the 10mins to 12mins walk. We felt very safe at night in this area. The closest laundromat was about a 3 km walk away and the Madeleine Metro is about 10 mins walk away. Some Australians may dismiss this hotel because of the Best Western association, please don't because this is a standout boutique style hotel with excellent staff.

"Great location near metro and city sites."
MadameJuneM1958, 24 Février 2016

The room was a good sie, everything was clean and lovely. Just a short walk to lots of attractions and sites, restaurants very close by, staff was quick and efficient. We will return on our next trip.

"Fantastic hotel!"
Melanie T, 23 Février 2016

I have now stayed in this hotel twice and both times was so pleased with every aspect of my stay. Having studied in Paris for a year, I am well aware of how little space you get for your money in Parisian hotels, but on both occasions the rooms were comfortable, immaculate, with good-sized bathroom and wardrobe space. On my recent trip they were apparently doing a little work so they upgraded our room which was a pleasant surprise! We didn't notice any building work going on at all whilst we were there. For just a couple of euros more than the standard breakfast, you can get a full buffet breakfast to your room which was an absolute dream on holiday. The location of this hotel couldn't be better - right in the centre of Paris and just next to the Roissybus stop that goes directly to the airport. Auber RER station is right around the corner or a short 5 minute walk to Opera metro connects you quickly to the centre of Paris. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel!

"Best Hotel by far "
gordonc310, 15 Février 2016

This was my first visit to Paris, the hotel is situated 3 minutes from the nearest metro Havre-Caumartin, with Pauls located on the corner. If you venture out for a little walk, you are within walking distance of some the cities most beautiful attractions. The hotel is a little gem, despite the hotel being busy, it was very quiet and well presented. We stayed in room 603, the room was well presented with a comfy bed, with by far the best walk in shower I've used in a long time. The staff were amazing and very helpful, from helping with small queries to helping ordering taxis and giving directions. A big thank you goes out to the night porter who looked after us when we couldn't find a bar open on Sunday night and made us feel welcome. Thank you for making our stay in Paris pleasant. I will defiantly stay here again :)

"Simply Wonderful"
emcconne, 13 Février 2016

I actually have to give both Hotel Sydney Opera And TripAdvisor two big thumbs up. As a first time visitor to Paris I had originally planned to stay at a large chain hotel, however after checking with TripAdvisor I wound up booking Hotel Sydney Opera and am so glad I did. The hotel is a gem and it is close to most of the things you'll need to make your stay special. The hotel just has a very "cozy" to feel to it. The rooms are freshly renovated and extremely clean and neat. Staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful. I can't recommend this hotel more and for the cost it is a "no-brainer".

"Nice hotel in Paris"
traveller198526, 09 Février 2016

This is a pleasant hotel for a few nights. It's not really by any of the main attractions but these are easy enough to get to. The staff are all very friendly. There isn't a bar in the hotel as such, just a drinks cabinet that the reception staff can help you to a drink from. Breakfast buffet was ample enough to keep you going for a few hours. There are a lot of nice small cafes and bars nearby.

"Hidden gem"
prh69, 06 Février 2016

Excellent hotel!!! Clean rooms and bathrooms, small boutique feel, great location and able to walk to many places, friendly and helpful staff that made you feel like they were glad to see you. I stayed with my wife and two daughters and everyone loved Hôtel. I am coming back. Also good for business travelers.

"UN Conference/Getaway"
Stephkole, 20 Janvier 2016

Very nice rooms; breakfast offerings were sparse and not worth the cost; in a good area with restaurants nearby! Room was cleaned daily even when we didn't want it cleaned; all of our stuff was safe and we felt safe at the hotel and in the neighborhood. Elevator is very small but room was spacious!

"Great little hotel"
stewarta, 07 Janvier 2016

Stayed here with my son in September for four nights, location was ideal plenty of cafes and places to eat nearby. Area was busy and we felt very safe walking around night and day. The staff were great the girl at the check in couldn't have been nicer she advised us on where to eat and where to vist at night. Rooms are small but nicely furnished with all you need. Everything was spotless and the wide opening windows were a nice touch. Overall I would highly recommend for couples and families alike.

"Excellent Hotel (given limited budget)"
Natalie L, 15 Novembre 2015

I stayed in the hotel in Nov 2015 for 7 nights, at Junior Suite with my husband. It is an excellent choice with the following reasons: Good location - it is very convenient to walk to Lafayette/Opera/Auber street/Madeline, so you can take metro/RER and airport bus very easily. And, shopping area is nearby, many restaurants nearby. Room size - if you want to have a spacious room with limited budget, I highly recommend you can take the suite. The official photos are 100% same as the real, you will get super big bed, a nice living room, a closet. Very comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful, good in English.

"One of the Best!"
SarahSallyCat, 11 Novembre 2015

Stayed here with friends (another couple) for a week in September. Best time of year to visit Paris. Hotel is in great neighbourhood. Lots of little bars, restaurants, shops all around. Everyone so friendly especially as we tried to speak French as much as possible, but they always helped by speaking English when we needed it. Hotel staff were the best I have ever experienced - ever! So helpful, nothing was too much trouble, very knowledgeable about area and made great recommendations. Close to Metro or even walking distance to a lot of major attractions. Lovely breakfast but for about 11 euros. Lots of fresh, healthy and veggie options - nothing like the American junk we are used to. Room was lovely, a little small, but very clean and fresh. Comfy bed and outstanding housekeeping staff. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

"nothing too much trouble"
onyab, 30 Octobre 2015

modern, well decorated and spotlessly clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Great location with free Wi-Fi, use of safe, fridge and computer and some very nice pubs & restaurants on the doorstep

"Great Hotel, Wonderful Location"
JCD1055, 25 Octobre 2015

We stayed at the Sydney Opera House Hotel for 4 nights in October. The junior suite was wonderfully spacious, newly renovated, and very quiet. Other than the night front desk person the morning of October 12th, the staff were friendly and very helpful - especially Marion. The location was perfect - close to restaurants, shopping, and an easy walk to all the major attractions. We felt very safe walking the streets day and night, despite being close to the metro station Saint Lazare. By way of feedback, the hallways and stairwell - both of which are very small - were always cluttered with vacuum cleaners, bags of laundry, and cleaning supplies. The cleaning staff need some serious training about client safety. Despite the obstacle course in the tiny hallway and stairwell, we'd definitely recommend the junior suite in the new section of the Sydney Opera House. Of all the places we've stayed in Paris, this was by far the best accommodations for the price.

"Weekend Break"
Pawstar, 21 Octobre 2015

Immaculate hotel in a very nice part of Paris. Staff very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English as opposed to my French. Room we stayed in was quite small but was laid out to make the most of the space and as already stated immaculately clean. There are a lot of nice restaurants and bars nearby and plenty of shopping if that's your thing and all the main attractions are easily accessible. We are already thinking of a return visit and would definitely book here again.

"Great location!"

Great location...5-min walk to Saint Lazare station and Opera House.... Rooms were quite small, but this is in most Paris hotels. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful...I would recommend this hotel.

"Great hotel, great location. We loved our stay !"
Mark A, 04 Octobre 2015

Myself and my girlfriend stayed for Thursday and Friday in early October. The Paris weather was beautiful for the two days we were there, hot and sunny.. The hotel is small and cosy. We arrived at about 12.40 on our first day and our room wasn't ready, but we had been told that check in was 2pm so we had no complaints - the friendly receptionist stored our cases and we explored the immediate area while we waited. Nice. A mix of local stores including an amazing bakery; and restaurants and bars. There is an English bar just outside the entrance of the hotel which specializes in sports and gets very busy in the evenings. We popped in there on our return to the hotel one night and it was packed - France was playing Canada in the rugby World Cup though! I've seen some reviews complaining about this, but it was fine. Once you're in the hotel, you don't notice a thing. I guess try to get a room not overlooking the Rue des Mathurins if you want to keep your window open at night. We can only speak for the room we had - 206, which was at the back of the hotel overlooking the courtyard, and it was quiet and comfortable. The decor was modern and the room felt fresh and well kept. The bed was really comfortable and there was plenty of room in the place for cases and bags. The windows opened wide to the courtyard to let fresh cool air into the room, great for nightime, although sound carries so even quiet conversations could be heard - not a problem, just be aware if you're talking with the window open! For the room safe, you need to leave a deposit for a key of €50. We didn't bother for our two days. Oh, and on arrival, a box of fine chocolates had been left for us in the room - a lovely touch. Wifi is free and works well, each guest gets their own code from reception on check in, and providing you activate this within 24 hours, this works throughout your stay. i imagine you could get a new code at any time from reception though. We had breakfast in the hotel for the two days we were there. This is a buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice in the continental style. Cold meats, hams, pastries, eggs, no bacon or hot meat so don't expect that! Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel and always greeted us on arrival or when leaving for the day. It makes a difference! When we needed help and recommendations and advice, they were helpful and patient when our rudimentary French broke down and they talked to us in English The location is perfect for central Paris or a short hop north to Montmartre which we did on our last day there. Just hop on a metro and you are within range of the whole of Paris. Thanks to all the staff in the Hotel. We'd be happy to come back here !

"A Best Western in Paris? We were pleasantly surprised!"
Melanie D, 25 Septembre 2015

Four friends and I stayed (in 3 rooms which we had booked separately) on a 2 night visit to Paris in early September. When we were researching Paris accommodation from Australia - and realised the Georges V etc was out of our budget - we decided to aim for somewhere clean to sleep at a reasonable price and found the Best Western Hotel Sydney Opera through Trip Advisor. The hotel was having a sale for the dates we wanted, the reviews looked good, the location central on the edge of the 8th/2nd arrondissement...but still we were prepared to be very underwhelmed. We could not have been more pleasantly delighted! The reception staff were incredibly warm, friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions/taxi bookings etc. The hotel itself is small, well maintained and tastefully decorated in a great location walking distance to major sights/great bistros/shopping. The rooms were larger than we were expecting, air conditioned (although we did not need it) with modern decor, good bathroom, great shower with a separate (although small) WC. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel (there were so many amazing cafes/bakeries nearby) but it is an option. This hotel was an excellent base for a few days frantic exploring in Paris. Excellent location, clean, friendly staff, value for money...don't be put off by the Best Western name!

"Paris in Summertime"
GaryLorraine, 22 Septembre 2015

Great location, close to all places of interest, 5 min walk to Opera' House. Hotel was very clean, staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Room was better than expected, large in comparison to Paris standards although small but adequate bathroom, I'd definitely recommend hotel.

"Expensive cramped noisy rooms. Avoid. "
Philip T, 22 Septembre 2015

I am here on a business trip, long tiring days mean that all I want from my hotel is a decent bed, a quiet room and some basic amenities to make my stay acceptable. The Best Western Sydney Opera fails on most counts. It's expensive for a 3 star, 220 Euros per night no breakfast. But this area of Paris is very nice. The room is small and the bathroom tiny. Nothing unexpected for a Parisian hotel. My booking request had specified a room with a double bed away from the lifts. I got a room (number 400 - avoid at all costs) opposite the lift, next to the stairs, two small twin beds. Very noisy. The room overlooks a busy crossroads opposite a pub. Very very noisy until past midnight. Smokers gathering outside make a lot of noise and the cigarette stench drifts into the room. Closing the window is one thing, but getting the air conditioning to work is something else. No luck yet. Worse still, there is a repetitive water pipe noise from the bathroom that never ever stops. It's loud and annoying enough to have kept me awake most of the night. Attention to detail: only one complimentary tea bag, reading lamp doesn't work, etc. The hotel does not live up to its image or price tag. Request to change room was refused. They engage in a very curious practice with all the guests of charging you the full amount of the stay at check-in. Is this even legal? A very disappointing hotel experience from a weary and sleep deprived business traveller.

"Amazing location...More amazing people"
Concerned S, 21 Septembre 2015

Realllllllyyyyy good location. The staff truly make this resort..stayed at a total of four hotels for my vacation and this was the BEST in terms of customer service. The staff really went out of the way...EVERYONE was truly amazing but thanks so much ( sorry didn't get his name..the Asian employee working the night shift) gave us two options to visit the Eiffel Tower explaining which one had the better view. THANKS SOO MUCH..it truly made the difference. Only downside the rooms are truly small...but they were clean and A good use of space. If you are a bigger person or have a lot of luggage opt for the bigger rooms. Thanks so much to the entire team for making my first visit to Paris truly memorable. Forever thankful, Alicia

"Charming hotel in convenient location."
Lesley H, 15 Septembre 2015

Boutique hotel in excellent location close to department stores, Opera, Place de Madeleine and within walking distance to many places of interest. The staff are very welcoming and Sarah and Marion assisted with booking excursions and very good. restaurant recommendations. Overall a very pleasant atmosphere at the hotel with good breakfast and comfortable rooms. Will definitely return on our next visit to Paris.

"Nice welcome - great room"
theodoreVienna, 11 Septembre 2015

Tucked away not far from the RER Auber, Madeleine, Opera, St Augustin. Warm and caring welcome. I loved the room divided between the bedroom and a small salon with second tv. Windows open. The reception helped me with a charger for my telephone. In any case, very friendly and helpful staff. You feel home and happy and comfy.

"Great find!!!"
Patricia H, 05 Septembre 2015

"Wedding Anniversary"
adrianandcat, 29 Août 2015

We've chosen to check in here for our first visit to Paris, and also our anniversary celebration. Although arrived at 10am, Marion checked us into our room with warm smiles. Very happy with the location, 5-7min walk to Madeleine metro stop. We've been given room207, elegant yet cozy, facing courtyard. I'd say we're pleasantly surprised by this new lift in standard for Best Western chain, no longer the old fashion family hotel we used to know . Would use this hotel for future visits. We're here right now & excited to celebrate love in this city!

"Excellent hotel and staff"
JandA1977, 27 Août 2015

Really enjoyed our stay. We had a 5th floor room which was like a suite, it was excellent had plenty of space and it was very quiet. Hotel felt 'homely'. All staff we met were friendly, but a special mention of Sarah on reception who provided a very friendly welcome which continued for the whole of our stay. She also booked our Seine dinner cruise which saved us a lot of time. Merci beaucoup Sarah!

"Perfect stay"
highexplorer, 23 Août 2015

We couldn't fault this hotel. The room was immaculate and spacious. The bathroom was perfect. Room 603 had been newly renovated and we weren't disappointed. Marion and Omar on reception were very helpful. I would definitely return.

Hotel is very conveniently located in Paris near La Madeleine. Room was quite spacious and hotel decor and amenities were excellent, considering the location. Overall, very good value and experience. Would definitely recommend this place.

Sarah welcomes us very friendly with an upgrade of our room. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. She give us great tips for a night out to Lido and offers us a late check-out. She was really helpful and deliver us a great stay in Paris!

We stayed here at the end of May and found it very pleasant place to stay. It was a short walk to the metro station. The best part was the great people working there. We found them always friendly...

"Great hotel to experience a Beautiful Paris!"

CENTRAL location, very clean hotel, EXCELLENT staff, price is better than competitors as seen during Expedia search, Great room and décor (but small room compared to North American standards). Highly recommended! Great job Best Western for delivering a consistent and reliable experience regardless of country.

Second, The Male staff (which is on duty on 24/4 night shift around 23:00), the electricity suddenly cut out, he come to my room at the first minute and help us to fix the problem. Also, our toilet got stack and he help us to fix it, he provide a very excellent customer service to us. On 25/4, which i had checked out, but My Wallet had stolen, so I back to hotel to seek help. Miss Marion help to me write down the detail in French and show me the way how to go to police station. Also, she help me to make some calls to Hong Kong to let me cut the credit card, she also provide an excellent customer service to us. "NICE AND CHARMING PLACE FOR A PARIS VISIT"
Henry G, 15 Décembre 2014

My wife and I spent three nights at this nice and charming hotel from 9th to 12 December. The location of the hotel is superb, with walking distance to several of the famous attractions in Paris as well as to the large department stores. Although such central location, the room we had was very quiet. The room, or in fact the small suite we had, was decorated very nicely with colourful paintings on the wall, a large bed, and charming interior. The bathroom was clean and elegant, but quite small. The only small detail missing was a smallmake up mirror. The reception was fine and colourful and the staff in the reception extremely helpful, attentive and charming, always willing to explain and give us an answer on our questions about where to go and how to get there. The breakfast was good with a good selection of choices, but there was no warm food to be served and the brekafast room was quite small. However, we had three very nice breakfasts where we found what we needed for a good start of the day. The charming surroundings and an attentive woman taking care of the guests gave us an overall good impression. We shall definitely recommend the hotel if you are looking for a hotel with atmosphere interesting and charming design, helpful staff, central location and reflecting the French flair. "Short Stay"
Ishwar G, 04 Octobre 2014

Stayed at the hotel for a week for business. Great location, excellent eating places within walking distance . The breakfast is average and lack of in-house dining facility may be inconvenient at times. The bathroom is pretty small but clean.

"Good location, good accomodations, good value!"
Michael L, 06 Juillet 2014

The staff was simply wonderful --- most accommodating. The rooms were small and clean, but you don't go to Paris to sit in your hotel room. If I vacation in Paris again, I would have no reservation in staying at this hotel again.
