"Small boutique hotel"
MavisTraveler, 06 Décembre 2023

Great hotel- definitely would stay here again. My family enjoyed the breakfast each morning and proximity to the metro and train station to the airport. Keith was very accommodating and helped us with directions to places to eat.

"Family trip"
120mariane, 28 Novembre 2023

The rooms are tiny! We had no room to put our luggage and when the sofa bed was open.. there was no room to open the bathroom door or walk around it! The room was also right next to the elevator and you could hear it going up and down all day and night. The staff was very courteous though! Very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was better than we expected.

"Good Stay in Paris"
Edmond L, 06 Août 2023

Stayed 3 nights with my wife and 7 year old Room was good for Paris. Just that there wasn't a bathtub. There is a small lift to your floor and the windows open to the street. Location is quite near the subway and the location is quite quiet. Felt the breakfast was a bit expensive, so we decided to go out for food instead Hotel Room: 4 Stars (Nice design and comfortable stay) Room View: 4 Stars (Streets of Paris) Service of Staff: 3 Stars (Average Check in) Lounges/Restaurants: NA Room Service: NA Location: 4 Stars (Near to the station, streets seem safe enough to walk at night)

"Great location, awful bed"
lgreen9, 25 Octobre 2022

Booked this as bed and breakfast. Unfortunately, I have to significantly down grade as the bed was awful. We booked a family room as travelling with 5 year old and 9 year old. One bed had a lovely mattress the second was a pull out sofa with broken foot end. This was uplifted by sofa cushions. It was squeaky and wobbly, generally felt unsafe. My husband slept on it and I shared the other bed with the children. My husbands feet were lower than the rest of him. This meant poor sleep for all of us. This affected all of our mood during the trip. We raised the bed situation twice and staff showed no concern. They clearly knew already. We also had raising damp patches after a shower. Again raised it and told someone would look at it bit I don't believe they did. Avoid room 107. It was a real shame because otherwise the hotel was good. The room had WiFi, flat screen TV, shower gel and body lotion, hair dryer and coffee machine. No kettle or iron. Spiral stair case and working lift. Red black and white paris theme. Great location. Street Hotel is on has a good range of restaurants, lush, clothing shops, chocolate shops. Metro opposite and just a block up. We were able to visit all over Paris jncluding disney land, palace of versaille, Eiffel tower, notre dame, parc de villette and Charles de gualle airport. Breakfast included: boiled and scrambled eggs, sausages, pancake, chocolate du pain, croissants, corn flakes, coco pops, fresh fruit and fresh juice, yoghurts and coffee. We ate well. It is a shame we have had to down grade the hotel. We can usually make do where ever we end up but this was particularly poor especially of a hotel chain. Hotel needs to remove this as a bed option or replace it. We will not be returning or recommending.

"Family trip to Paris"
Daydream16990172093, 14 Octobre 2022

The hotel has a nice location, close to many stores, restaurants and bakeries. The rooms do not have too much space., even though it seemed two rooms together. For a family of four is very tight. We just hand luggage, so if you a traveling with big bags, the toor will be full. The cleanliness could be improved. The toilet were not cleaned well and neither the door in the bathroom. It looked a bit dirty. The Rooms are not sound proof, so you can hear all the sounds in the hall and the other rooms around. If the cleanliness was better, I will give it a higher score. We really liked the collection. The metro is just crossing the street.

"Cosy stay in cute neighbourhood"
sarahjadventures, 10 Septembre 2022

Converted Parisian apartment block into hotel. The rooms are small so ensure you read description prior, we had so knew but for someone who hadn't may be an issue. I am mid size but for a plus size person this could be for some awkward navigation. The neighbourhood is out of the heart of Paris so be prepared for either catching public transport or getting taxis or Ubers to the main sights. For us this wasn't an issue because we loved the quieter, quaint neighbourhood. Staff friendly and helpful. Thanks for a lovely Parisian stay Best Western!

"Nice location, but needs a little work"
P9246NUdavew, 15 Mai 2022

We stayed here for 3 nights in May, and while the hotel is nice enough, it needs some improvements. We stayed in room 508, and we had a horrible smell coming from the shower drain which we did inform reception of... Though how the cleaner didn't notice is beyond us, as the whole room stank if you left the bathroom door open. Also the toilet in the room was really oddly placed up against a wall, which made sitting on it really uncomfortable. You would have to wonder why it wasn't centred in the gap... The cost and location, however, are really good and breakfast is included.

"Comfortable stay!"
Skillzxsilent, 03 Avril 2022

Just got back from staying here and i can honestly say it was a very comfortable stay! Staff were friendly! Cleaning staff were very kind when we saw them! Rooms were really clean and didn't have any problems at all! They also provided free wifi in the rooms and free coffee and tea everyday! Along with free shampoo and soaps which get refilled everyday if you forget to pack shampoo and shower gel! Also provide nice smelling soap! The bathroom was very clean and the shower was very powerful and the temperature can get really hot if needed! I can't comment on breakfast as we didn't have breakfast their mainly due to money and wanted to skip meals etc. I would like to refer to some of the reviews on here saying the rooms are small and my honest review on those comments is that they aren't small. I personally think they are a reasonable size for what you need them for. The room we had which was 106. Obviously i can't comment on the other rooms. ( I would recommend you use the metro opposite the hotel as that has a ticket station, unlike the one down the road) The hotel is opposite the metro station which was very convenient. I would also like to thank the man who tried his best to make sure our room was ready as quick as possible on check in! We left our house at 1.00am GMT and got to Paris at 8.00am their time, especially with the clocks going forward for the UK, it was a very exhausting trip so had until 2pm Paris time to kill until our room was ready! But thank you for trying your best to get it sorted as soon as possible, we really appreciate it! Only negatives i can really think of is the lift is a bit small ( but it's probably because i have a big suitcase) and when walking up the stairs the lights tend to not come on quick especially as i can be a bit dark on the stairs. Apart from that, everything was amazing! Thank you for an enjoyable experience!

"no reimbursement despite covid +"
RAVASSARD, 10 Février 2022

no communication possible with the hotel , they strictly refuse to pay back the room (107 euros) , that i canceled 4 day before arrival ( room from wed9th to thursday 10th)) because of covid + detectedd on friday 4th.

"Avoid! It is definitely not a 4 star establishment"
julie h, 08 Février 2022

I Stayed here with my two children, it is supposed to be a 4 star hotel? The Rooms I chose a junior family suite, nice idea however they are far too small, The decor is so dark, it's oppressive and claustrophobic with little natural light. It was decorated and furnished in the style of a teenagers bedroom with dark brown and dark turquoise peeling paper on the walls and tired broken furniture to match in the same dark colours. The bathroom was in fact a tiny shower room with barely enough room for one person, with an equally small toilet in the connecting bedroom. The mini bar door was broken and the landscape mural on one wall ripped. The remote for the tv was no where to be found but eventually located under the sofa bed along with a used mask. The towels were dirty with make up on two of them. The toilet brush was disgustingly dirty with paper and the brown stuff on them. Cleanliness was none existent. The reception area was ok and the staff, although disinterested in the condition of the room were helpful and polite. The stairs were badly lit, painted black and a death trap. The corridors equally as dark. All in all, an awful and disappointing stay and not cheap. It is at a push of a two star quality hotel. Thé tarifs on the board are incredibly expensive.

"Good location and price"
228sainte, 11 Décembre 2021

We spend a couple of hundred night per year in hotels. Nice to be in centre of town here with this hotel. Lots of nice options. Staff really helpful and friendly. However breakfast this morning, I felt so sorry for the one lady who was assisting, clearing and catering for everyone. She was amazing but so unfairly pushed to capacity on her own. Just pay for an extra pair of hands. It's not that difficult.

"Paris Adventure"
Liza L, 17 Octobre 2021

The location was great, subway stop across the street and the B train near by. The hot breakfast was great, lots of choices and all were good. It is in a nice neighborhood with lots of food options and shopping. All of the popular tourists sites are easy to get to by bus or subway. It is in an older building so the rooms are small and the stairs steep and the elevator is small. I know that if one is in Paris why would you want to spend much time in your room. It is a good value place to stay.

"Refused refund despite COVID-19 travel cencellations"
Jeanne9Marie, 10 Août 2020

This hotel refused to issue a refund or even a credit for a six night stay that I had booked in June. My flights were cancelled and France is not admitting travelers from the US for the foreseeable future. I think that given the global nature of this crisis, and the financial impact it is having the world over, it is unconscionable to charge someone nearly $900 for a hotel stay that did not happen. Believe me when I say I would give anything to have been able to keep this reservation and take my trip. Since that was not to be, the least that could happen is that I get a refund so that perhaps I can take the trip in the future, not be robbed by a hotel chain that has abundant resources at their disposal.

"Great value in Paris"
Daren-Tracey, 21 Février 2020

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and provided lots of assistance. Check in and check out were completed very courteously. The room was very clean and the room cleaning staff were very accommodating. Other reviews have noted that the rooms are quite small and they are, but you are in Paris, how much time do you spend in a hotel room?? It is good value for sure and the Metro is directly across the street. Make sure to check out the shops and restaurants on Rue Daguerre just a 3 or 4 minute walk from the hotel.

"Good place to stay but.."
Truth4u999, 09 Février 2020

Room was better than expected, we had an issue with hot water, we asked for more water as we have a baby and we're asked to come downstairs and pay for a bottle, but we this was the night shift male receptionist.

"Little jewel in Paris"
260gerhardb, 14 Septembre 2019

Spend 5 days in the hotel. GREAT PLACE. Loved the room. Bit smal but in line with other europen hotels. Clean and neat. Nice breakfast is served. Reception staaf extremely friendly and speaks good english. Meteo access across the road to tbs center of Paris. Will definitely stay tbere again on my next visit. Wifi in the room are excellent.

"Clean and comfy"
Macchert, 03 Septembre 2019

Hotel is nice for Paris standards, rooms are small but clean and bed is very good. Location is excellent, close to tube station and restaurants, shops. Rue Daguerre is very nice both during day and evenings.

"Good value and well located"
CarrieB72, 15 Août 2019

I stayed in this hotel with my husband and our two grandkids (6 and 9). it was in a great location, right across the road from a metro station (though it seemed to have a fairly infrequent service, and is restricted to only one line), however, it was less than 10 minutes to walk to Denfert Rocherau, which is served by many lines, including the RER, which was handy for getting to and from Gare du Nord. That station is also very near the Catacombs, so if you are planning a visit there, this hotel would suit you well. The hotel is quite old, but clean and the staff were very pleasant and spoke good English - though I spoke French as much as I could, even if it was quite bad! We had a suite, so it was two good size bedrooms; a double and one with a sofa bed. Each room had their own TV (but one remote control!), and our had a nice balcony and the usual coffee maker, fridge, safe etc. The configuration of the suite was a bit strange, which is what you expect with an old building. Apart from the two bedrooms, there was a bathroom with a sink, a shower room with a sink, and then a toilet on it's own, which was in an extremely small room - literally just the toilet and enough room to stand up!! We found it quite amusing, but if your mobility is poor and you need to lean forward to get off and on the toilet, you will need to have the door open - so just be aware! Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat at the hotel. There are plenty of food places in easy walking distance, and we got breakfast items from a supermarket as it saved us some money - eating out is incredibly expensive in Paris. All in all, we would use this hotel again. If you are coming into Gare du Nord, it is probably a 10-15 minute direct journey on the RER, and then less than 10 minute walk to the hotel, so if you are travelling on the Eurostar, that's useful to know. The hotel are also happy to store your luggage for you on your last day.

"Excellent service and location "
van79, 29 Juin 2019

This small boutique hotel is in a lovely, quieter neighbourhood. We were warmly greeted by the front desk staff who were always willing to assist. Special mention to Alex whom I felt provided exceptional service and went above and beyond when we left our passports and cash in the safe! He retrieved them and kept them safe until we came to get them. Thank you Alex! Our room was small but clean with a king bed in one room and the most comfortable pull out bed of all time in the other room. One bathroom provided a toilet and sink, the other has a sink and shower. We appreciated the nespresso coffee maker and complimentary water. Would recommend this hotel for person or business travellers.

"Great little hotel"
447PeterS, 11 Juin 2019

Stayed for three nights while attending a conference at the Marriott down the road. Rooms are small but clean and tidy. Comfy bed., bathroom small but ok, very good shower. Fridge in room is useful and a coffee machine with pods and instant coffee very nice touch. They even give you a couple of bottles of water, useful when its hot. Side street room was quiet. Breakfast good value with plenty of choice but a bit repetitive after a couple of days. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. They will look after your bag behind the desk if you need to check out early. WiFi was ok but a bit hit and miss. Mostly french TV channels but a couple of English speaking news channels too. Close to RER and metro . Several places to eat locally and supermarkets close by. Would recommend.

"Great little boutique hotel in the university area of Paris"
leswes-pgh, 09 Juin 2019

Being from the US, we expected a large, standalone hotel. This is a smaller, boutique hotel with 6 floors. The rooms are small (as are most in Europe), but very clean and well maintained. The bed was firm, the AC worked well and was quiet. The shower was great (but the bathroom is tiny). The front desk staff were super helpful in orienting us to the metro, giving advice on sites to visit and places to eat.

"Perfect for our needs"
Connieboo, 05 Juin 2019

We stayed at this charming understated hotel whilst visiting Paris to watch the French Open Tennis. The hotel is directly across the street from the Metro and affords easy access to the rest of Paris. The area surrounding the hotel is quiet and interesting and offers many excellent restaurants, bars cafes and shops. The staff were friendly and very helpful, our room was clean and well appointed.

"Would definitely recommend!"
Companion782725, 23 Mai 2019

Location is amazing! Immediate access to metro lines 4 and 6 with 20 minute rides to major tourist attractions. Also, 5 minute walk to catch the OrlyBus (shuttle to Orly airport). Front desk staff very helpful and fluent in multiple languages. Rooms were small, but to be expected in Europe. Great rainfall shower head. Having a bar fridge in the room was nice because a grocery store is 3 minute walk away, so we could keep our drinks cold. A pharmacy is also conveniently next door. We tried 4 different boulangeries within walking distance and would recommend Boulangerie du Natural (it's an organic one)

"Excellent service. Great location. Rooms are clean and absolutely perfect!"
Katharina B, 02 Mai 2019

The hotel is amazing. Very clean, extremely friendly and welcoming staff, great location. We loved the coffee-machine in our room which made our mornings! There's a wonderful organic pastry shop close by as well as many shops, cafés, and 2 métro stations within easy walking distance (one also serves RER B). A big Thank You to the entire team for making our vacation unique.

"Great Location and comfy "
Dazzl74, 24 Décembre 2018

We stayed for three nights in the family room which was a pull bed for my kids and queen bed for us (two beds stuck close). Rooms were tiny and barely any room to walk around but beds were comfortable and clean. Hotel Located on a busy street but our room on the fifth floor was surprisingly quiet until you opened the window. Within walking distance to the Paris Catacombes, metro train, supermarket, bakeries, laundromats and cafes/restaurants- massive plus! Our biggest negative was the toilet/WC in our room as this was super tiny (you could barely close the door when you sat down) and despite noting space is an issue in Europe, generally, I couldn't help noticing the toilet for breakfast room guests located in the basement was spacious ! Our room had 2 bathrooms which I think could have been foregone for a bigger WC & single bathroom; definitely a 3star Hotel and would have rated this lovely hotel higher if not for the tiny WC;

"Wonderful hotel"
rhijtmom, 17 Décembre 2018

We had a wonderful time in Paris during our weeks vacation. The Best Western went above and beyond our expectations. The front desk staff was incredibly knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Even though we spoke only a little French they were glad to speak in English to us whenever we asked. The location was very convenient as it was directly across from a Metro station.

"Perfect for us! "
jandw2010, 20 Novembre 2018

Just a quaint little hotel with gorgeous rooms and helpful staff! It's not in a very busy/popular district, but is super close to the metro and RER so u can get from there to anywhere in/outside of Paris that u want to go! There is no microwave in your room but they let us use the one in the kitchen. They also gave us ice from down there, let us check in early, and offered to help us with any needed travel plans. (Alexandre That was!) We did NOT try the breakfast...us Americans desired more than that in a breakfast...but all in all we were VERY happy. Our room had a double and a single bed that was perfect for the three of us!

"Perfect Location"
Dawn C, 20 Novembre 2018

My daughter and I stayed here for a few days. Directly across from metro. Got a room with doors that opened to an outside area on top floor. Very clean. Really nice front desk. Would definitely stay here again!

"Ok but small rooms"
70lukasf, 20 Novembre 2018

The hotel is located in Paris' lively Montparnasse region and thus very central to some vibrant streets, including excellent wineshops. A metro station is located right in front of the hotel. We had a room on a higher floor, not facing the main street. I highly recommend insisting to get a room to the side road on a higher floor level. The room was very clean but small. Unfortunately, the room (505) smells really really bad. AC didn't work properly and should be replaced. Overall we would come back, especially because the price seems quite reasonable for Paris.

"Not a four star"
belindao406, 08 Octobre 2018

Booked a family room, very tight, no bathtub. Stains several places on the bathroom tiles on the floor and walls. Breakfast was not much! Stayed for four nights with children, and they never put on clean bedding for us even though there were stains from orange juice etc. No room in the elevator for a stroller or more than 2 ppl at a time so we had to put the stroller in the lobby, also had to go several times with the luggage the day we arrived and left. Think the price is overrated for the experience, and not very family friendly if you travel with small children.

"Great Place To Stay In Paris"
Barney1Buddy1, 22 Septembre 2018

I spent 9 nights here earlier this month and was very pleased with my stay. The room was just right for 1 person, the location was terrific (directly across the street form the local metro station), and the staff were very nice. I'd certainly stay here again!

"Great location, small rooms"
Jazz M, 07 Septembre 2018

Stayed at this hotel during our visit in Paris. Location of this hotel is great in a nice location near metro and train station. Rooms are a bit small but clean. Staff nice and responsive to our requests and questions regarding our travel around the town.

"Awful Hotel - Do not stay here"
lucypie2011, 31 Août 2018

This hotel is dirty and unhygienic. The rooms are tiny and not value for your money. My and my partner has seen a rat in the hallway!! The staff are very unprofessional and literally are not bothered. Especially the Manager Didier. Please reconsider your stay as you will be very disappointed.

"Great location "
D_Markovska, 31 Août 2018

The hotel is nice and clean. Our room was relatively big with nice and spacious bathroom. The staf is friendly and professional. The best thing is the location. The bus and the metro stations are very close. It is about 20 mins away by bus from the Louvre. We enjoyed our stay.

"AVOID THIS HOTEL!! - Misleading and terrible 2* Hotel"
jothibhachu, 27 Août 2018

Me and my partner had stayed here for 4 nights (assuming It was a decent 4* hotel) for our wedding anniversary. And during the 4 night stay we had to move to 3 different rooms! Room 607, 305 And 405. Please carefully read the below details as the photos and discription is very misleading. Do not be fooled! 1) The Hotel is very run down and has a strange smell, as soon as we walked in we saw the reception staff ‘Ash' having a nap in the lobby, which wasn't welcoming or profession. Me and my partner just felt so awkward. 2) The ‘double bed' option doesn't actually mean what it states. Most of the beds in the hotel are 2 single beds made together, which constantly split into half every night causing back pains and uncomfortable. 3) The bathroom facilities are crammed and unhygienic. Stains and hair left in the shower and sink. Towels provided had stains on them too. 4) AC units are out of service. Pointless having them if they don't work! The room gets quite suffocating after a while as they are ridiculously small. Me and my partner were literally stepping on each other. 5) The room lighting is very dim. Only 3-4 small light bulbs in each room corner. Still not enough light to clearly see. 6) Hotel staff as well as the manager Didier [ - ] are very rude and unprofessional. The customer service recieved was extremely disappointing. Nobody even once congratulated us on our anniversary occasion. When we arrived they took the entire amount payment and then refused to provide us with a refund. This hotel is dirty and unhygienic, so please think twice before staying here. Thank you

"It's an insult to stay in this property"
Victoria M, 10 Août 2018

The place is so filthy, so dirty, so smelly, the carpets, the toilets, the towels didn't have a colour, they were so dirty. I stayed 4 days, didn't see the ladies in the breakfast area smiling even once. in the breakfast area instead of putting the glasses on tray and serving, they would stick their fingers into the glas and serve it like this. my room was next to the room, where they keep the supplies for the rooms. you would think that working in the hotel will teach something about comfort, oh, no... they were not talking, they were yelling the whole time, and not a single second of sleep. nothing was good, at all. probably only the reception desk

"Ideal Stay in Ideal Location"
icklevodie, 23 Juillet 2018

Nice little hotel in a very convenient location. From CDG on RER B takes about 45mins and station is about 5-10 mins walk to the hotel. Stayed in a standard double room which was rather small but adequate for a short stay. Mini fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Again, breakfast was adequate but I wouldn't like to have paid €13 - booked through Ebookers and as I member offer it was free. It seemed once the items were gone, like pancakes and pastries, they weren't replenished. Staff at breakfast time were very pleasant. On arrival we were early but the room was available so we were allowed to check in early. Gentleman on reception also very helpful. As others have mentioned the left is incredibly small and hot and the staircase is spiral and is not easy to negotiate with mobility issues. The only thing that we were not happy with, was that there was no where to leave your luggage on your last day, despite web site saying there was. On our day of departure the chap on the front desk (we hadn't seen him before) was very sarcastic about there being no more room for cases - which were just kept piled up around the reception desk and back office. We therefore had to traipse around Paris with our suitcases until our evening flight. I would use this hotel again as Montparnasse area was safe and convenient. Next time I would look at upgrading to a larger room.

"Great hotel, at a great price"
MarriV90, 19 Juillet 2018

Great location, friendly staff. The rooms are very nice, with a separate living room and bathroom. Ideal location, close to public transport and easy to find your way. The staff are helpful with everything you need.

"Three days in Paris with the family"
bosanos5, 13 Juillet 2018

Very nice hotel, just in front of metro station; very kind and always available staff; good WiFi; rooms are clean with nice furniture; breakfast is fine, even if a little bit expensive; at the end I strongly advise this hotel to all kind of travellers staying in Paris

"Well decorated comfortable friendly hotel"
MoReardon, 30 Mai 2018

Very interesting modern decor & good bathroom. Lack of a bar, a tiny lift with not enough room for 2 people with luggage & very difficult car park to navigate spoiled it a bit for us. Reception staff very friendly & helpful with excellent English but the breakfast waitress was not so friendly. Seemed very expensive at AU$400 a night. The rooms were wonderfully quiet considering such a busy area.

"Great place to stay while in Paris!"
Monica O, 15 Mai 2018

Stayed at the Best Western Nouvel Orleans for a few nights while in Paris on my latest trip. This hotel is extremely close to the metro stop, which comes in handy if making your away around Paris by train or bus. The room was nice, it was a triple room, had 2 double beds and a twin bed. The room had a mini bar and plenty of plugs to use. The room was clean and even though we were street side, it wasn't very noisy. The bathroom was huge, huge deep bathtub with shower head attached with no shower curtain around it, learned quickly on how to not flood the bathroom with the shower head haha. Staff was friendly and helpful, even helped out with planning metro routes. This was a pleasant stay while in Paris.

"Perfect for short stay"
Spread20, 15 Mai 2018

We had 2 nights in Paris & stayed here. Location was good, walking distance to train station (~15min to Eiffel Tower etc) & plenty of restaurants/cafes around. Room was small but clean & comfortable. Would recommend for anyone who is in Paris for a short stay

"Uncomplicated but well executed"
Back_to_Sandringham, 29 Avril 2018

I stayed here one night during a recent visit to Paris. My room was pretty tiny, but recently refurbished and very trendy (dark walls, cool art, very nice bathroom). Everything was well presented. The breakfast, which is served in the basement, is simple but sufficient. Nice location, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. This is fairly basic hotel, but it does the job well.

"Great location, room air conditioned"
llccCanada, 23 Avril 2018

We stayed here for 6 nights. Our double room was very small, especially the bathroom but it was clean. Paris was unseasonably warm so we were very glad to have the air conditioning unit which was extremely efficient and very, very quiet. Luckily we were only on the 4th floor as there is only one tiny elevator which was often in use so we took the stairs instead. The room was not facing the street directly but we could still hear the traffic. The location is very convenient and we were able to visit all parts of Paris with only a short metro ride. The hotel is across the street from the metro station Mouton-Duvernet (Line 4). However, a short walk away is the Denfert-Rochereau station which is on Line 4 as well but also on Line 6 and the RER B. This meant we could go on the RER B from CDG airport to the hotel and not have to transfer. We also went to Versailles easily from this location as we could catch a Transilien express train from Montparnasse-Bienvenu which only took about 20 minutes.

"Outraged by the behaviour of the waitress staff and the quality of the shuttle service"
Georgios I, 22 Avril 2018

This time I visited Paris for a scientific meeting taking place in FIAP. I chose the particular hotel mainly due to its proximity to the meeting venue. I have two major complaints to make: (1) one for the airport shuttle service they offer via “Start Shuttle”, their “reliable” transport-company partner, and (2) one for the unacceptable behaviour of the waitress staff. Regarding the shuttle service, I have first to admit that Alexander, the Reception Desk Assistant, had given me precisely all the information beforehand: my transfer from the CDG airport would cost 65 euros and be prepaid online, while the rate for the return transfer would be 26 euros and paid in cash. However, on my arrival, the taxi driver appeared with a delay of 25 minutes and I had to phone the company to confirm he was coming to pick me up, while, on my departure, I shared a minibus with 5 other persons and, despite being the first to be picked-up, I was left last to be delivered to the Terminal I was flying from, with only little time to spare. Also, I was unpleasantly surprised to find out that all the other single passengers were charged 8 euros less than me! I'm closing with commenting on the rude waitress service during breakfast on Friday 20th April: when I entered the basement restaurant where the self-service breakfast is offered, there were no other customers and most of the tables were still unclean. Instead of sitting at the only one two-person table which was beneath the air conditioning ventilator, I chose a clean four-seat table. The only waitress of the restaurant -who, by the way, was fluent in English and had nothing to do but ask for the room number and prepare the tables- forbade me to do so and pointed to another four-seat table, which was still unclean and set only for one person, as it had been used by 3 other residents. I answered that I wouldn't mind doing so, provided she would clean it up, but she insisted that the table was fine. When I warned her that I would complain to the Hotel Administration she reluctantly cleaned the table. Later on and while still alone in the room, I asked her to provide me with an empty glass for water, but she refused to do so claiming that the hotel was short of staff and, therefore, each resident could use only one empty glass per breakfast! Outraged by her ridiculous excuses, I replied that such issues shouldn't be a client's concern and that her behaviour was unacceptable even for a no-star hotel. Although she didn't even think to apologize, my reply led her to bring me an empty glass for water. I referred my complaint to the Reception Desk immediately after the incidence, and preferred not to have breakfast at the hotel the following day.

"Wonderful Location"
VermontFrau, 04 Avril 2018

Stayed here for four nights. Location is ideal with restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and shops in this neighborhood and the metro ( #4) is right across from the hotel. Our double room was very small as was the bathroom . There is a tiny elevator or walk up and down the winding staircase. Rooms were very clean and the staff extremely helpful. The location, staff and price more than make up for the cramped rooms.

"Central and cosy"
emma t, 24 Mars 2018

Myself and two friends stayed in a triple room here on 17-19 March 2018. The location is central and near great restaurants, bars , shops. The room was clean and enough room for three girls and three cases! The hotel is always quiet and you hear no noise from the street despite staying at the front of the hotel The room had a beautiful balcony which had a nice view of the street. Right next to cartacoombs and near Le Ciel Paris restaurant!

"Great location and easy to find"
Monik2010, 20 Mars 2018

Stayed one night at this hotel, easy to find in a central location. Stayed in a twin room with a small shower room and separate toilet. Shower gel, shampoo etc in the bathroom. Towels provided however no wash cloths. Rooms are small but clean. Lots of shops around the hotel, places to eat, pharmacy and clothes shops. Easy access to the metro and pleasant staff at reception who are very helpful. Was able to store luggage following check out for most of the day. All in all a good experience.

"Excellent but noisy"
saharazeem, 13 Février 2018

The hotel is cosy and clean. The staff is very helpful and cheerful. Rooms are very small and you feel like neighbours are with you. You hear every single voice in the room beside you. I didnt try their food but generally our stay was very nice

"Great little hotel. "
Jaye577, 03 Janvier 2018

Stayed here to celebrate New Years in Paris. Hotel easy to find and direct on the Metro from Gare du Nord station. Once you leave Mouton-Duvernet the Hotel is across the road. Check in was very easy and the staff are all really polite and very helpful. The lift is very small and only fits 3 people in but it's not an issue. We stayed on the fifth floor and our room was lovely. Spacious and well equipped, nice large bed, air con, coffee maker, safe. Good WiFi and bottled water waiting for you in your fridge (perfect for keeping your bubbly cold) the bathroom is big and very clean. Plenty of hot water and the only negative is the over the bath shower needs a screen fitting as water does go all over the place. Plenty of towels and toiletries. The windows are well insulated and kept the outside noise out. Breakfast is available but we didn't utilise this. (Full continental was about €13 per person) we just preferred to go and explore and find a nice little cafe. The area has plenty of these. Some great places to eat around the hotel. We will certainly be staying here again when the weather is warmer so we can fully explore this and the surrounding areas.

"Very pleasant stay"
Mahshid A, 13 Novembre 2017

Nice and clean rooms, however the rooms are a little small so you cannot really move around. Wifi in the room was good. The hotel is just across a metro stop which is very convenient. There is only one small elevator which fits 2 persons with luggage. In mornings it took a very long time for the elevator to come so we used mainly the stairs.

"Great location. Great value"
Fischermom, 31 Octobre 2017

This is a small hotel in the Montparnasse area of Paris. It's a 5 min walk from the RER B airport train and across the street from the metro line that will take you to Notre Dame. The rooms are very clean and an average size for this level hotel. The tiny toilet area and shower are separate. Extras: great shower and pressure (rainfall and hand held), USB port sockets, towel warmer and French doors that open up to the exterior. There is a tiny elevator that can hold 1 person with luggage. The front desk staff are very helpful and speak English fluently. Did I mention there's a dorm sized fridge? The neighborhood is safe and remarkably quiet in spite of many stores (Lush, Zara and Gap) and even a grocery store (Monoprix) nearby. Plenty of restaurants, too. Good value. Good location.

"Anniversary stay "
Rio M, 26 Septembre 2017

We stayed at this hotel for a few nights in Paris and it was great Great value for money the rooms look lovely clean and tidy receptionist spoke English very helpful. Very close to the metro so easy to get around, travel card for the day was around 7 euros. Lots of shops and restaurants near by within 2min walk. Shared shuttle was 30 euros from the airport to the hotel.

"Overnight stop"
billandjohorton, 28 Août 2017

Very clean .shower powerful and hot .small room but well equipped . Staff were efficient .not cheap but good price for Paris . Would stay again as it was perfect for central Paris and sightseeing. We were also surprised that it was peacefully quiet during the night so had a good nights sleep.

"Good hotel in handy location after disappointment"
glumonion ., 15 Août 2017

We had booked this hotel through Booking.com, with the promise of their website of 1. Car Parking available 2. A Double bed and 3. A Bath, with the added bonus of as Booking.com states "L'Occitane products in every room". The Car Parking was safe, quite easy to get to (once we had worked out how it worked), and very good. The Bed was huge and really comfortable. The bath also was good, with good hot water with toiletries, but wait, NOT L'Occitane as Booking.com had promised. This was really disappointing as we had a L'Occitane theme going on our trip having stayed self catering near Manosque and its L'Occitane factory, and also spending a night in a L'Occitane Spa hotel, the toiletries to be provided here were a major factor when we chose this hotel and we were disappointed to find alternative toiletries. This was soon remedied as there was a L'Occitane shop a short hop down the road. Not to be outdone, if you like that stuff, there was an Yves Rocher dead opposite the hotel and a Sephora a short hop up the road. In fact there were plenty of different shops (not all toiletries thankfully) to browse round, as well as a wealth of choice of eateries, right on the doorstep. Also dead opposite the hotel was the metro entrance so all of this made this a really good location, with the benefits of easy access especially from the A6 and the south. Once we passed our initial disappointment, we liked the hotel. The room had the huge double plus a single which was ideal for two , but may feel a little cramped for 3, but had a good size bathroom. Although our room faced a very busy road, it was surprisingly quiet, and the room was spotlessly clean apart from a stained bath towel that I guess had picked up some oil. Had we been staying longer we would have asked for a replacement. Despite being a Best Western the hotel felt quirky and Parisian with its tiny lift and narrow staircase. The guys at reception were friendly and really helpful and for the amount we paid was really good value for Paris. With the easy access, safe car parking, excellent location this hotel worked really well for our overnight stop with a taste of real Paris, but I would love to come back here and stay longer............. even without L'occitane.

"Great experience"
mgeoppinger81, 29 Juillet 2017

Stayed there for one night....family of 7. Great location with amazing number of restaurants and places to shop in the neighborhood. Had dinner last night at D'Orleans....get the Lamb or Beef Bourguignon....unbelievable! Elevator is small but hotel is "boutique" and pricing is reasonable. Highly recommend!

"Quaint hotel, good location"
warriorp, 21 Juillet 2017

Loved my stay here. Surprised my parents with a trip to Europe with our first stop being Paris. While the hotel rooms are small, there's a lot of storage space so you can be organized and comfortable. Hotel is very clean, and staff very friendly. There's lots to do nearby-- for every budget. Food, markets, catacombs, monoprix, metro. We even walked to the Eiffel Tower one night (45 mins NY speed) which was nice. Our mode of transportation was mainly uber which was surprisingly affordable.

"Great stay"
Nancy K, 17 Juillet 2017

Although the red and black decor is a little weird, in my taste, this was a great hotel. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. In room coffee is a terrific set up...allowed me to wake up a bit before heading out ( one of my kids lives nearby so we took meals there). The place is clean, beds are comfortable, sheets super crisp. And we got a great deal . I would stay here again in a heart beat.

"A very nice hotel in a great location"
antelis6, 28 Juin 2017

I really liked this hotel! Every person at the front desk was so friendly and extremely helpful! The rooms were clean and the service was excellent! We had 3 beds in our room and it was very roomy and the bed were so comfortable!! Directly across the street was the Metro 4 line, and a little ways up the street was the 6 line. The catacombs were in walking distance, and there were many nice restaurants in the area.

"Ok hotel but not four star"
Bhakti D, 05 Juin 2017

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and I wouldn't say the hotel is four star at all. The breakfast was very basic. The hotel room was small and not very clean. Staff were lovely and the hotel is in a good location. You would be close to the metro and so it was very easy to get round paris and do all the touristy things.

"Pretty good"
BusinessTraveler43, 23 Mai 2017

I just stayed here one night but I thought it was OK. As everyone mentions, the location is great for public transportation and I appreciated that the neighborhood was "normal." The staff were very friendly. The pillows and mattress were average, I did not hear external noise, some internal noise, but I slept well. My only complaints about the room were that the carpet was really in need of a thorough cleaning and it smelled a bit perfumed which I personally do not care for. I also did not care for the black walls and carpet in the common areas which I found a bit gloomy for a hotel.

"Small, but nice and comfortable and next to the metro"
HermannBilbao, 07 Mai 2017

We had booked 5 days at Paris with a platform offering hefty discounts. So it was, flight from BIO to Paris included. Well, the hotel is just not in the center, but in any case, if you like to move in Paris you need the metro. Here is the advantage: metro station just in front of the hotel! The room we got was quite small, but covering everything you need, even a coffeemachine and a small fridge and a (functioning) safe-box, big enough to accomodate the note-book. People at the front desk were friedly and competent, best of them Mr. Alexandre, who gave us a lot of valuable suggestions. At the same street are a lot of restaurants, but forget about them, all serving rubbish food. I would like to suggest: one at the street just in front of the hotel ( Nr. 5, I can´t remember the name) and a fantastic small seafood restaurant "Daguerre Marie" in 9 rue Daguerre, 75014, left side from the main street Avenue Du General Leclerc.

"Only for business"
JG o, 06 Mai 2017

It's what you may expect from a Paris hotel in this category... A heavier price tag than it should have; - comfortable rooms - but apparently less budget for great beds and linen - good enough shower, but def nothing fancy - airco not running untill summer starts, so ask beforehand to have the hotel staff turn it on - breakfast was good enough for sure. But hey, for this price tag it better should be! (Have a Nespresso at the bar for free instead of the standard filter at the buffet) - the best fresh pressed orange juice I have éver had in a hotel. Worth going back to, but only when my boss is paying.

"Great Location - Room for Improvement!"
Sophie T, 05 Mai 2017

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights over a long weekend break in the city. The drawing point to this hotel is it's great location - there is a subway just across the street and Denfert-Rochereau subway is a few minutes walk away (a direct link to CDG airport). But best of all, you're only 20 minutes walk from all of the famous Paris sights - we were able to walk everywhere with ease, and only used the subway to catch our flights. Also, there are some really good restaurants in close vicinity of the hotel (head to Maison Peret if you want to try some of the best snails in Paris!). Hotel rooms are clean, but very small and the decor is a little dated. Breakfast is quite basic but suffice. It is a bit off-putting watching shop bought packets of scrambled egg and mini frankfurters be scraped into the heated serving trays! The staff were usually always very helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. Our only disappointment with reception was that they were unable to provide us with any water one evening due to our mini-bar not being re-plenished. Of course we were more than happy to pay for it but the receptionist told us (and another guest) that the hotel did not have access to any water. We found this hard to believe when we were met with several bottles of water at the breakfast buffet the next morning! Overall a good stay, perfect if you are on a budget and want to be in a location that is not too busy, but close enough to walk to all of Paris' main attractions.

"OK for one night"
Ajit_from_Australia, 30 Avril 2017

It's not a 4 star hotel by international standards Tiny lobby and tiny rooms, you can't move inside the room as bed is nearly touching the front wall Bed is comfortable and room is neat and clean Metro is across the street I will not stay here again, if I happen to spend more nights in Paris I was in transit and had 28 hours in Paris, looking at 4 star and price, I booked this hotel which is a mistake Double bed for a single person and room with a balcony was a only something to talk about

"Excellent hosting option"
Aloizio A, 24 Avril 2017

We were very happy to choose this hotel for our holiday in Paris. Location privileged, staff very friendly and competent. Well-frequented hotel, efficient cleaning. Everything worked as expected. Highlight for the official Karin, very kind, professional and helpful. We will definitely return to this hotel at other times.

"Really small. Poor breakfast, only one tiny elevator"
ivimg, 14 Avril 2017

It took me 20 minutes to have the elevator available. Really bad room facing a wall. Breakfast 13€ and very poor. Better go to the street on the left till the round about there is a good cafeteria. Thanks

"Great Location"
united51, 06 Avril 2017

Not too familiar with Best Western brand so was pleasantly surprised by the size of the apartment, Good Breakfast and great staff. Loved the atmosphere and for the modest price was a bargain. Had great help from the front desk, cheers! Will return

"Lovely hotel with good location"
Marcelka S, 22 Mars 2017

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel and it was a very pleasant experience. Rooms were obviously recently refurbished, beds are comfortable, nice bathroom with a large tube and great cosmetics. Nespresso machine available in the room (though just 1 coffee was free of charge, we are used to have this complimentary in 4 star hotels)... Almost all guys at the front desk were very nice and helpful but one girl. But generally really good experience and I would not hesitate to come back. Hotel is conveniently located close to metro station and there are plenty nice restaurants around. As well Carrefour is located just few steps.

"Staying in Paris and need safe car parking? Choose this hotel."
AF53, 19 Mars 2017

We all chose hotels for different reasons. I needed safe, offroad parking and this hotel offers this facility along with very comfortable rooms and equally very good location - metro line opposite hotel and RER 500m away. Ideal for my annual business trips over the last decade and more!

"A lot of good points"
Sam0701, 14 Mars 2017

I stayed here for two nights in March whilst on a city break with my wife. Firstly - the location of the hotel is good. It's a couple of minutes walk from Danfert Rochereau, which was good for us as this is where the bus from Orly drops you off. Outside the hotel is a metro stop on line 4 - Mouton Devernet and there are several lines that run from Danfert Rochereau just up the road (Lines 8, 4, & 6) In and around the hotel is really safe, and there are plenty of places with ATMs, and towards Denfert Rochereau there are places in which to get breakfast. We didn't take the breakfast in the hotel as the cost was better in the cafes in the surrounding area. We were in room 408, which did not have a bath (which was a shame). The room faced over the back of the hotel, which was really quiet. The room was quite small, but in a city centre such as Paris, it was to be expected. The bed was comfortable (albeit quite dusty) and the shower was great. All in all, a good hotel, in a good place for a really reasonable price.

"Comfortable, clean hotel with mostly friendly staff. Metro stop temporarily closed."
Marcy R, 27 Octobre 2016

We chose this hotel because it was the closest nice hotel to our daughter's study abroad program. It is a few blocks from the Catacombs, in a safe, clean area. The hotel is next door to a pharmacy, and only a block away from a convenience store, a grocery store, a Sephora, a cafe, and many other shops. It is not near other tourist sites, which we liked, as we were not there for that. Therefore the cafes and shops nearby were not too expensive. We had no problem getting ubers - there was always one within a few minutes. I think it was about a 7 euro uber ride away from places like the Louvre. Apparently taxis have a 62 euro agreement to the airport, but my husband was charged 67 when he flew out early. I took an uber and was only charged 52 euros. The staff was very friendly (save one) and helpful. All of them spoke English. I would like to commend Alexandre who helped me with the metro system and adjustments to my bill, the man at night who helped me to pop some microwave popcorn and provided a nice tray with ice for me (thank you!!!) and gave me directions, and the woman in the morning with the curly hair and long fingernails who went out of her way to help us with our museum tickets. All three of these people were so friendly and helpful, and made our stay even better. The room itself was quite a good size for European standards. We had booked a triple, as our daughter was going to stay with us for a few of the nights. The triple we were in faced the street, and had a large bathroom. There was plenty of space to put your things, with a large armoire with hanging space and several cubby holes, as well as a desk/vanity with a lighted mirror and more storage space. The room had a mini-fridge, and they provided us with water bottles for the first day. The drapes really blocked the light well. The beds and pillows were both very comfortable. Our triple had two twin beds pushed together, and a third twin against the far wall. If you book a triple but don't have 3 people, tell them, and they won't charge you the room tax for the 3rd person. There were two drawbacks for this hotel. It had only one unbelievably small elevator which was quite slow (but did work, contrary to some reviews I read). There was a spiral staircase if you don't want to wait on the elevator. Also, our room had no shower curtain. The design was such that I guess they thought you didn't need one, but every morning I had to wipe the floor dry after our showers. There is a metro stop right across from the hotel, which is one of the reasons we booked this hotel, but unfortunately, this stop was closed for construction during our stay. I believe it is to open again sometime in November, 2016. The breakfast was nice and included two options. The 7 euro meal included coffee, juice, bread, pastries and cereal. The 13 euro meal added eggs, potatoes, and breakfast meat. The food was temperature appropriate and tasted good. The lobby is rather small, but does have an enormous amount of brochures with things to do, although many were written only in French. I would stay here again.

"Short but pleasant stay"
FamilyHarmony, 26 Octobre 2016

We booked this hotel on a long layover in Paris. We needed a place to rest our heads after seeing some sights with friends. The hotel is definitely no-frills (no restaurant, no elevator, etc.). It's an older building that has been nicely updated. Stairs are steep and winding - definitely not ideal for the elderly or those with very small children. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Very easy access to the Metro (across the street). A great option for a short, economical stay!

"Amazing stay! "
Amber T, 06 Octobre 2016

So we decided on a short city break to Paris, very last minute. Hotel was fantastic! The guy on reception first thing in the morning till 3pm - Alex - i think his name was, was a star! Went out of his way and more too help us! Hotel itself is very French, lovely little rooms! Very quirky, bathroom quite small but it's nice! Sephora shop 100 mtrs from the hotel, fab!! Metro station literally opposite the hotel, quick and easy to use. Spent a day by the eiffel tower, took 10 mins too get there. Then spent a day at Disneyland, took approx 45 minutes too get there. We also did the catacombs, literally at the end of the street! Definitely recommend this hotel too anyone!! ??????

"Boutique chic"
MT1239, 26 Septembre 2016

Easy to access and situated in a great location for central Paris via the metro and other public transport. The rooms are designed and fitted out with a very vibrant boutique style. They are well fitted, clean and functional. The car parking is exciting to get to and a bit pricey (but it is Paris). I would certainly return.

"Definitely booking it again for my next trip"
furaha2016, 27 Juillet 2016

Great hotel to stay at. The staff are really friendly and helpful the train station is just cross the road from the hotel it's easy to get to Central Paris. I would definitely recommend it as it's also near lots of restaurants and bars to go to as well as shops if you need to do any quick shopping.

"Best Western Orleans, Paris France"
Skemcho56, 20 Juillet 2016

I've stayed here before and have always been more than happy. The elevator, like the rooms, is small but the rooms have a refrigerator, great air conditioning, a rain-like shower, several electric outlets, and two USB charging devices for your cell phones or tablets. Their is a metro station across the street and about two blocks up there is a self service laundry. There are two fast food places within walking distance--McDonald's and Burger King. There is also a great Italian restaurant two blocks up on the same side of the street. I have never eaten at the hotel but they serve breakfast and other meals. I heartily recommend this hotel and will stay here every time I return to beautiful Paris!

"good value if you get the right rates"
akshatverma, 16 Juin 2016

This was one of the hotels I had shortlisted for a short stay at Paris. However, I was planning to book something else but then found that they had a 25% promotion discount at makemytrip (MMT) ... This coupled with the typical couponing that runs at MMT made it a very attractive deal. At that price, the hotels is extremely good value. The hotel is clean and the rooms, though small, are nicely decorated. Everything is functional and the breakfast does the job. There is good connectivity via a metro opposite the street. The wifi worked well. They have different room layout for the same room type -- so you may want to check before finalizing if there is additional availability. One minor issue is that the lift is small (probably a norm for Paris) but it was smaller than other similar priced hotels we have stayed at. One thing that makes the hotel ideal for families with young kids is that they don't charge additional for kids, which is a significant savings. We found that most hotels charge a significant amount for kids (even if they don't need an extra bed).

"Good value for holiday"
Andrew B, 02 Juin 2016

Well we stayed at this hotel from the 26th to the 1st of June 2016. We were in room 204 which was clean and had all we needed.THere was a nespresso coffee maker in our room and also some nice teas to choose from.there was 3 bottles of water in the fridge also. We had a safe in the room which we used and was easy to set. With the underground across the road it was easy to tour Paris. There are many banks nearby if you need money. We tried a few restaurants around our hotel and food was really good. The breakfast in the hotel was very good also plenty to choose from. There is a lift but this is quite small but was fine. The staff were helpful and spoke good English . Overall I would recommend this hotel for a Paris break.

"Paris Best Western Montparnasse Hotel"
pattystl2015, 01 Juin 2016

This hotel was a good choice. Room was clean and location was good. Metro/subway was across the street. Lots of restaurants near hotel. Front desk was very helpful and spoke my language. Good value. I would stay in this hotel again.

"Still a way to go"
Livingintuscany, 24 Mai 2016

OK so arrived in the reception and was pretty shocked at how shabby and shoddy it looked for a four star hotel. Check in was fine. Arrived at my fifth floor room in a very outdated elevator. I was pleasantly surprised by the room which had clearly been renovated. Still some touches needed though, get rid of the plastic disposable cups in the bathroom. Add a face cloth. On the positive side, very nice L'occitane bathroom products. Complementary tea and coffee which is nice. Good location with plenty of shops around which is very convenient.

"Short stay in Paris"
JG o, 21 Mai 2016

Spend two nights in this 4* hotel. Check in was swift. Very helpfull staff, room was really clean like it should be, an all you need but small room. Too bad the free coffee wasn't refilled. A minor thing. The hotel is conveniently located opposite a subway station. So, only minutes away from any sight in the city.

"Dissapointing"
patty991, 01 Mai 2016

Upon check in the desk clerk was not very friendly (the rest of the staff over our stay was very friendly). We were informed the lift was broken but given no definitive information as to when it might be fixed (not fixed by the end of our 3 day stay). the room was SOOO SMALL for 3 people (we reserved a room with 3 beds). The room was not very clean but the bathroom was AMAZING. Large, clean and great shower. The hotels location was ideal and the neighborhood was very nice. Most of the staff was nice and friendly.

"Good quiet location away from the hassle "
chankaryau, 19 Avril 2016

Stayed here for 4 nights, the hotel is newly refurbished, all the receptionists speak fluent English and all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included and the selection was good. One down side is there is no kettle for boiling some hot water inside the room.

"Nice Location"
Marielise F, 09 Avril 2016

Stayed there for 3 nights during a layover in Paris. Location was convenient, Close to major subway station.. stores, restaurants, Starbucks, McDonald and Burger King are within walking distance. Plenty of things to do and see. Smaller room than what we may be accustomed to, but we need to remind ourselves that we are in Paris where space is very limited... It worked very well for our purpose was comfortable, clean and reasonably priced for the area. The reception was always attended and the staff very courteous. It does have a small elevator and the rooms seem to have been remodeled recently, as well as newer bathroom. Quiet area.

"Comfortable hotel in nice area"
Dave M, 09 Avril 2016

Our room was small but comfortable, especially the bed. All very nice and clean with everything in working order. The "Nespresso" machine was a bit of an odd choice as it doesn't work well with tea bags or instant coffee. It took me some time to work out how to use it but it was OK although some more coffee pods would have been useful. Sound proofing was very good and we were not disturbed by traffic in the Avenue General Leclerc. When we arrived there was no toilet paper in the room so I went and asked reception. The receptionist's eyebrows nearly shot off the top of her head in surprise and she soon found a roll! A genuine mistake I'm sure but showing a little lack of attention to detail. We didn't use the breakfast room as we saw lots of cafes offering cheaper breakfasts and fancied sitting looking at the Parisian streets rather than being under ground. The area is very nice indeed. More residential than touristy with some good shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Metro station literally opposite the hotel and Denfert-Rochereau RER, with direct services to the centre of the city a short walk.

"Good Experience"
Terence C, 07 Avril 2016

Stayed here for one evening during a brief business trip to Paris. The area is great, well served by public transport and plenty of dining options for lunch and dinner. The hotel itself is good, not too many rooms, served by a single typically Parisian tiny lift! The room was generously sized, plenty of light, comfortable bed and pillows, and a nice bathroom with a huge shower and high quality toiletries. My only issues with the room were: - noise: it was a first floor room (106) close to the front so very noisy. I didn't address this with Reception as I hoped the noise would die down, but it didn't much and I do regret this decision as it disrupted my sleep considerably. The lesson? High floor room at the back is the best option. - smell: the room really did have an odd smell about it which I think was down to either the AC unit needing a clean, or the drains. Either way, the only way to control it was to leave the bathroom window open to keep air flowing in. This of course only accentuated the point above. Again, I did not raise the issue with he hotel so they did not have chance to respond. I would stay here again because of the location and comfort of the beds. However I would be sure to raise this issues rather than suffering in silence, which ultimately was my own fault!

"Nice area, good base"
Wardster69, 06 Avril 2016

My wife, two sons (14 and 17) Stayed two nights in late March. The hotel itself has a small reception which is staffed 24 hr, all of which ( the staff) were most helpful regarding any queries ie travel and places to eat etc we had. The hotel rooms are newly and nicely decorated, possibly the nicest shower I've had in this type of hotel. Our room was 507, which had two bedrooms. Access is via either a lift 3 pers max or a widish spiral staircase. All rooms had Wi-Fi, maybe a little slow when all of us were using it at once but ok. There's also coffee making facilities and a small fridge, we had two bathrooms, one in each of the bedrooms, both with a washbasin, one with a toilet the other a shower. The boys room had a pull out sofa bed which was comfy, I'm told and the wife and I had the double, both rooms had a TV and were seperated by a door. The corridors are a little dark but not in a shabby way but kinda in a sheek way if you get my drift. We got our breakfast included in the room cost which for me was pretty good. Great coffee, fruits, cereals, breads and pastries etc. Scrambled eggs, sausages and pancakes were the only 'hot' offerings but as I said I got my fill and I'm a pretty big eater. The nearest metro is a two minute walk up the road with the nearest RER station another few minutes. You can't buy tickets though at the said metro but at the RER station for 7 euros a day per pers you can buy an all day ticket for both metro,RER and possibly even the local buses as long as you stay within the Paris zone 1. There are some really nice places to eat in the area which I have to say is better than I was expecting. Overall when we were looking for somewhere to stay, we wanted a nice safe area, somewhere which was only a short commute into the touristy area, but close enough so we didn't break the bank and this hotel definitely fitted the bill. I would Defo stop here again and I'd without doubt recommend it.

"Excellent Value, Comfort & Staff"
GMMidleton, 30 Mars 2016

What an incredibly enjoyable to night break we have just had here. First of all the value was unbelievable for what we got. The hotel is quite modern and everything seems new so perhaps it has been recently refurbished. Access from CDG airport is a dream. One train takes you right from the airport to within 200 metres of the hotel. We received a room on the 6th floor from which we could see the top of the Eiffel tower and there was also a mini balcony which we were able to access which was a great treat and surprise. The room and bed was very comfortable and bathroom modern. Breakfast the next morning was excellent and we were looked after both mornings by a lovely, polite lady who was so nice. I must also mention Charles on reception who is an absolute gentleman and very pleasant and helpful, thank you Charles. For a small hotel they have been very smart to incorporate everything you would need and expect from a 4 star. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay but just for the benefit of hotel management I have some points - The Espresso machine in 602 did not work for us, it would pour hot water but would not dispense coffee even when we used both pellets of coffee. - The shower tray cannot cope with the amount of water from the shower. If I was ion the shower for more than 5 minutes, water would overflow to the bathroom floor. It does not drain effectively. - There is a gap on the top left hand side of the sink. If you drop something in this gap there is no way to retrieve it. Overall an excellent stay and we will surely be back. thank you very much. Patrick Shields & Natalia Gwizdalska

"Great Experience Overalll"
Cindy P, 07 Mars 2016

In general, our stay was excellent. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the room decor was nice with great large windows. The bathroom especially was large and looked to be recently updated. I've never had a bathroom with such a nice view! There were three of us and we had a triple room so perhaps that increased the room size? At any rate, it was perfectly adequate for the three of us given the typical size of hotel rooms in large cities. I loved the area but it is not in a "touristy" part of the city. Personally I prefer that, so for us it was a plus. There are many quaint and excellent cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. There is also a small metro station right across the street, as well as a larger one (with access to more lines and connections) a few minutes walk down the road, so it is easy to get pretty much anywhere within the city. We found the metro easy to navigate, but we are also fairly experienced travelers so that may not be a given for everyone. We all thought the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negatives are quite minor: The elevator is VERY tiny and has a mind of its own, but that presents only a very small inconvenience. There is very limited public space in the hotel - a very tiny lobby and the breakfast room (which I assume is closed except for breakfast) - so if weather is bad or you plan to stay in for awhile for any other reason, you are pretty much limited to your room (but with Paris to explore, why would you want to stay in anyway?). The breakfast at the hotel is limited and kind of pricey for what you get, so skip it unless you have it included as part of a good rate. It's not terrible, it's just that there are so many other options (both better and less expensive) just a few minutes walk away. Finally, I know it may sound nit-picky, but what bothered me most are the hallways - they are extremely dark and dreary (even though the rooms are not). There must be some way to brighten up the decor and add better lighting! But, as I said, to me these things are minor. I feel the hotel was a great value and we were overall very pleased. My greatest endorsement is that I would gladly stay there again!

"A "Handy" Selection for your stay in Paris with Very Good and Friendly Service"
ThanosFot, 07 Mars 2016

This hotel can become your "handy" selection if you want to travel to Paris. In regard to its positive and negative aspects, I will try to be as specific and objective as possible. Location is overall very good since it is very close to Metro station and plenty of shops and restaurants are near by. If you travel to Paris by your car please be reminded that there are 2 Avenues de General Leclerc, one north of the gate of Orleans (in main Paris area) where the hotel is located and one south of the gate. Paid Parking is available on the roof of a building next to the hotel (Reception staff will guide you) but the spaces of the building until you reach your parking position are extremely narrow so be careful. Price of room is generally high but in consideration of the extreme hotel prices in a very expensive and to an extent overrated city of Paris is deemed reasonable. The hotel itself is a renovated building -I admit that the final result is nice- that has small spaces generally (e.g. small corridors, elevator that fits one person and a suitcase, small breakfast area etc). For someone who comes there alone and for business the small space is not a problem but for a family it might be. Moreover, we had some problems with AC (its operation was not satisfactory) and this during winter was important. However, the negative aspects are balanced with the Very Good and Friendly Service of the staff and especially the ones who work at the Reception. I really need to thank the Reception's Night shift guys who helped me with hospital, doctors and taxi in an hour of need, Yulia who helped for days my wife and kid and Alexander. I believe that they did their best for their client and their business.

"A good hotel but details can be improved!"
lik77, 06 Mars 2016

The location is good, if you to come from airport by Orlybus. It is also convenient to go to main attractions. There are super market, shops, cafe and restaurants along the street. The elevator is very small. The room is small but nice decorated and clean. Hotel failed to provide us a quiet room which we requested in our reservation. And not able to make change in the bed arrangement on first day. Cleaning lady forgot to put correct amount of towels for 3 people and add used accessories, such as shower caps.

"great little hotel"
dlnp8, 02 Février 2016

came here in January, it took us a while to find at first but the hotel is great, some of the facilities could do with updating however the staff are amazing the lady on reception was always helping us and advising us on where to travel, the food to eat etc, great stay

"Nice stay"
Khaledr74, 26 Novembre 2015

Pleasant welcoming staff, good size room, spacious comfy bed, clean room and toilet. Room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the street. Close to restaurants and shops/supermarket. Metro station just across the street. 10-15 by metro to Eiffel tower or Champs-Elysees.

"Like a Parisian"
Amanda M, 13 Novembre 2015

I traveled here with my parents for a weekend trip. It was all our first time in Paris and we were excited to explore! Upon arrival, we found our room to be very clean and comfortable. The beds are heavenly and made for an excellent night's rest. The bathroom was also very clean and well equipped with L'Occitane products! The towel heating rack was also a great added bonus!! However, the shower partition was a bit small and we found ourselves with lots of water on the floor after showers. The small balcony was a great added feature in the mornings to overlook Parisian rooftops! The only negative thing I would have to comment about would be the air conditioning. It is uncommon for Parisians to turn on their air conditioning in the middle of November, therefore they turned it off for the entire building and when asked about it, they said the building (and all rooms included) is temperature controlled by the main desk. The windows worked well and provided enough air circulation, but if we had happened to get a warm day, we would not have been comfortable. Just a minor detail! We found the location (right across from Mouton-Duvernet station) to be a bit far from tourist attractions like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, being about a 15minute metro ride. However, it was conveniently located right in front of the metro stop and easy to navigate within the metro systems. The immediate neighbourhood is lively and great to walk through for little cafes, bakeries, and grocery stores. It is also very close to the Catacombs of Paris (walking distance). Would definitely recommend this Best Western if immediate location is not your first priority!

"Family Paris Break"
Nick M, 01 Novembre 2015

The hotel was excellent, very nicely decorated and furnished. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English to fill in the gaps of my French. We had breakfast every day which was a nice selection of pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cereals and meat/cheese if you like that for breakfast. The room was very nice and the hotel was perfectly located opposite a Metro station which was on the line to Notre Dame. Would recommend this place and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

"Nice hotel, well located"
Marina F, 30 Octobre 2015

We spent a lovely 3 days here. Hotel clean, friendly and handily located. We especially liked Eiffel Tower bed panel. The Nespresso coffee machine also a bonus. Very good links into Central Paris. Plenty of amenities around the hotel.

"Lovely Hotel with easy travel links"
Lulu39Wemb, 17 Octobre 2015

I stayed here in August 2015 as a family group of 2 adults and a teenager in a triple room. Having looked at the reviews before placing my booking, I was very happy to find that the pictures were exactly what I found at the hotel unlike other hotels. We were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff who provided us with information on travel links and restaurant tips for the area every time day or night when we asked. This proved to be valuable information for our short stay in Paris. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others as an excellent hotel for a Paris trip.

"A small room in a well situated hotel"
Procaccia, 27 Septembre 2015

The neighborhood of the hotel is excellent, with many coffees, food shops etc, and with very easy access to the airport and throughout Paris. The only problem with the hotel is the size of the room, too small to navigate around the bed and without a sofa or an easy chair. After one or two night this is very annoying.

"Very displeased with this hotel"
Teri P, 22 Septembre 2015

We had one extra traveler that was not booked on our reservation and were charged 140 euros extra for a pull out couch that 2 people had to share. The room was very small, not cleaned well and definitely not worth the total price we paid. We had a coffee machine, and were provided with coffee (only one per person per day) only to find out we were charged for that as well. I don't recommend this hotel at all and am very disappointed in Best Western to the point that I won't book with them again.

"Fantastic Accommodation with transport at your doorstep"
alipearson, 16 Septembre 2015

For the price you pay you couldn't ask for much more! It's location is great, close to shops & laundromat and the tube is right outside the door. It's quite in a nice old building with good views and safe area. Will book here again.

"Lovely hotel with helpful hoteliers. Great access to everything!"
Sylvergirl, 15 Septembre 2015

We loved this hotel. It was in a great spot to catch the bus or metro to almost anywhere and the helpful staff were especially charming. The room was awesome and clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed 5 nights and the prices were reasonable.

"Great Stay in Paris"
William B, 12 Septembre 2015

We have recommended this hotel to our many friends over the years, and including those people that we just traveled with on a French river cruise . The convenience of having the 38 bus just outside the door that deposits one at the Citie and the Metro just across the street for travel over the entire breadth of Paris is very handy and the system is simple to navigate.

"Clean, affordable hotel in a charming neighbourhood"
AfromVancouver, 09 Septembre 2015

Good affordable hotel located next to a metro stop and quick walking distance from the CDG Airport RER line. Lots of excellent, affordable restaurants nearby on Rue Daguerre and Pl. Denfert Rochereau.

"Nice boutique hotel in nice area"
honeycombn, 01 Septembre 2015

We are a family of four, we found the hotel suited our needs just fine for our 3 night stay. The quadruple room had two double beds in two separate rooms, so you have some privacy. The room and bathroom are newly updated and hence nice and clean. Both bedrooms have windows looking out onto the street. One bedroom has a mini bath (shower and sink), the other room has a toilette and sink. We found no issue with noise from the street. There are tv's in both rooms if you ever use it. The breakfast was adequate, both hot items and cold: eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, fresh fruit, tea, and coffee. Front desk staff were all helpful, quick check-in and check out. We arrived early and they were able to find a ready room for us. The location was good, a little ways out from the city centre, but the train station is right across the street and links to other train lines that get you all over the city. The area has shops and cafes that you can go to in the evenings. ps. the elevator is small but it is a boutique hotel so you should expect that. Two people max with no luggage. Just take the stairs :)

"Montparnasse is a great location to stay"
Scotgrl, 26 Juillet 2015

This was a wonderful place to stay on our visit to Paris. The staff were excellent, helping us as needed, and making our stay very comfortable. The 14th arrondissement is close to the center of the city. There is a metro station across the street and one other station about 4-5 blocks away. Lots of good bistros in the Montparnasse area and that was good at the end of a long day of sightseeing. There is breakfast offered in the hotel - this was a great way to start the day before heading out. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, w-fi was good. The lift is worth going in once.......it is incredibly small, but your kids will love it.

"Friendly staff, clean hotel"
Mehrazad, 25 Juillet 2015

We stayed four nights in this hotel and we liked it a lot. There are alot of eateries very close to the hotel. It has very friendly staff and they are very helpful. The location of hotel is excellent location.in general very good value for money

"Gorgeous!"
Annette S, 16 Juillet 2015

I loved this hotel. Decor is fab, plus the added extras of l'occitaine products in the bathroom and a nespresso machine make it much more luxurious. As expected, the rooms are quite small, but very comfortable. I was on the 6th floor and had a great little balcony. Bathroom is very small, but with modern fittings. Staff were amazing! We had asked for a twin room but when we got there and saw it was a double, they quickly offered us an additional room. Exceptional customer service. I can't wait to go back!

"Excellent"
822c_linel, 07 Juillet 2015

Great location, clean room with nice decorations and very comfortable beds, simply the best choice in Paris! Will definitely choose this hotel again. Highly recommended. There are some shops, pharmacies and restaurants nearby, quite convenient.

"Good place to visit Paris"
Marko_Polo12, 05 Juillet 2015

This is a well suited hotel and the Metro station is exactly opposite the hotel so very convenient to visit Paris. Our room was small but still ok. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was reasonably priced with good options.

"French Charm for a Weekend Break"
Kevin H, 05 Juin 2015

This hotel provides a lovely retreat for a break in Paris. The surrounding area is packed with restaurants for a real Parisienne experience. Try L'ordonnance restaurant for a truly superb french experience.

"My third visit to Best Western Le Nouvel Orleans and as much satisfied"
Francepassione, 14 Août 2014

The reason which first saw me opt for this hotel was its location. True that it is a bit down town to central Paris, but it remains within walking distance to the Luxembourg gardens, the Latin quarter and Mouffetard among other attractions. Together with that, Denfert Rochereau is a stone throw's away with its RER and metro links as well as it is terminus to Orlybus. Mouton Duvernet metro station is just opposite the hotel. Also worth noting is that the immediate quarter around the hotel has a village atmosphere to it, despite the heavy traffic, with its fair share of bistrots. The Montsouris is also easy to reach. Currently the hotel is undergoing some works, which can be of a temporary inconvenience to guests. However, the new fittings and embellishments are to assure a new vigor to it and make it all the more appealing.

"Close to the Metro"
Susan L, 01 Juin 2014

We chose this hotel as it was less expensive than others that are closer in to central Paris. We were pleased that the Metro station was right across the street and we took advantage of the passes offered. However, our room was small, although very clean and well equipped. We experienced 'noise', talking and foot, rather late at night. Would definitely request a larger room and make sure it was located away from stairs!
