Best Western Premier Chateau Granville Hotel & Suites & Conf. Centre

I enjoyed my stay here immensely. I was able to bring my dog, the staff are super friendly and professional, very informed and accommodating. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were very friendly and made the check-in very easy. I had tried the online check-in but had to do it over again. We were able to check-in early as we had an early show to go to, The room was clean and very spacious.

From my experience the stay here was excellent - the room was bigger than I imagined and had two separate spaces - almost like a small studio apartment with two twin beds in one room and a sofa/tv/desk area in another room. The housekeeping service exceeding my expectations and it was easy to communicate our needs with the staff, they were also quick to respond and fulfill any requirements of ours. Thanks again!

Located in center of Granville area. Great property with ample underground secure parking. Staff are warm and quickly process check in and departure.We did not have time to eat breakfast but the restaurant looked contemporary in decor and menu selections were varied and we plan to use next time.

Hotel is located on Granville street towards the beginning of downtown. It is located in a good spot for food and attractions. you will have to walk or use transportation to go to deeper areas of downtown--if you don't have a car for your trip. Decently priced but you have to check their website consistently as it can be a little expensive at times. However, the front desk told us they price match so that's a game changer. Clean rooms, good service. The lobby restaurant is a little expensive for my taste but again you can find a lot of food around.

stayed here for a day to do some last minute xmas shopping. The building is much more modern with all the furniture replaced, bathrooms mostly redone as well. This is my favorite hotel to stay in when i am in vancouver.

We chose this hotel because of its abundance of suites. When you travel with kids for.kore than one night it is always nice to have a bigger room with separate sleeping areas, without having to pay more. The rooms are clean and well stocked. The staff is accommodating and friendly.

It's all fine at the Granville. For central Vancouver it's a decent location. Rooms are absolutely adequate. The double beds are quite small, but they give ample room for larger families with kids. Staff are amazing and the highlight of the place.

We stayed one night while in Vancouver to catch a Canucks game. It was our second stay here (last time was summer 2016 for two nights) and we will definitely consider it for future stays. We had a one bedroom king suite for us and our son; we also had a one queen room for my father-in-law. The suite was VERY spacious. The decor is up to date and it was very clean. Aside from two bottles of water (careful, they're $3.50!) all amenities were stored away in drawers giving the room a very tidy appearance. The king bed was extremely comfortable as were the linens. The sofa bed deployed in a very unique fashion that eliminated the need to remove and find a place for any of the cushions. It was very supportive and the construction also eliminated the bar that inevitably hits you in the small of the back! Our room was on the 11th floor at the far end of the hall from the elevator and was very quiet both from the inside and outside. The front desk staff was superb, very friendly and professional. We were greeted by the front desk manager and she was amazing (unfortunately I did not get her name). Everyone else on staff we dealt with was fantastic, too. The location is equidistant from the Yaletown-Roundhouse and City Centre Canada Line stations. Our only criticism of the hotel is regarding the elevators. There are only two for the 15 storey property and they are not particularly large making for long wait times during peak times of guests coming and going.

Everything about our stay was excellent: location, service, clean, efficient staff willing to help! Easy access for pick up and parking. Car rental company just around the corner. Cab from the airport was very reasonable.

The staff were great and very helpful. The room was clean and tidy and well set up for a family of 5. Large shower with excellent water pressure. The hotel is in a very central location, and the parking was convenient.

Great location in the middle of the night life in the heart of the city. Great views from our room on the 11th floor. Staff was friendly & helpful, room was clean and comfortable.Parking under the hotel was super convenient, the concierge was always available to assist with our questions.

This was my third time here and won't be my last. This hotel never fails to impress me. It is right in the heart of downtown so you dont miss a beat. The hotel has great friendly and knowledgeable staff that look after your every need. Looking forward to my next visit!

Great location in downtown Vancouver, nice food in Edge restaurant downstairs, Drew the concierge was awesome & knowledgeable, downside is outside noise on a Saturday night but other nights were good. Would stay again for location.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The suite was nicely set up with a microwave. The walk to the hotel from SkyTrain Yaletown Roundhouse Station took approx. 10-15 mins with luggage. Approx. 5-10 mins to Granville Station and Robson Street, i.e. main shopping district. Altogether good location with good service.

The value I got was well worth the price I paid. The staff are very friendly and professional, and offer great customer service. The breakfast included in my booking package was superb. I enjoyed my stay!

This hotel is convenient and there are lots of amenities in the area to access. The hotel staff were excellent and very helpful at all times. The restaurant was lovely and food options were limited but they were excellent.

This is a very good hotel the staff are always there to help. Mr Thompson the GM goes above to make sure your needs are handled. The main Bartender Melvin makes you feel that you just came into the Cheers bar. Will remember you each time you come back and has a drink always coming. Thanks for the top notch service.

Great location to get anywhere in the downtown core. Reasonable parking in underground parkade, large rooms with amazing views of the downtown skyline, nice bar downstairs (Sneeki Tiki). Concierge was good help.

Spent one night on a last minute plan. Very convenient. Friendly, knowledgable staff. Nice restaurant & pub. Will definitely be back. This 200 character minimum is kind of offensive, though. I could just fill it with blahs, blah, blah, blah...

Very insulting, it is like buying a fast car and it automatically comes with speeding tickets. It is like say sure I love my customers but I don't trust them. I have never had to pay before and I have been coming there for years. It is a rotten policy for ALL customer new and old. What a way to start a relationship ..I don't trust you so give me money upfront.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Chateau Granville. The rooms were pleasant and clean. The staff was very friendly and offered assistance, often going above and beyond to accommodate my needs and the needs of the party I was visiting with.

Front desk and concierge couldn't have been any better. Bed and pillows were so comfy. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay there (our 2nd time). Within walking distance to shops and restaurants. And if you need to go to St. Paul's hospital, it is an easy walking distance.

Stayed at the Chateau Granville, was concerned about the noise level on a Saturday night. Was pleasantly surprised heard no traffic, room drapes were great morning sun did not come through. Location was within walking distance to our event, secured underground parking available at cost but considering it's downtown was a great peace of mind.

Very nice hotel. The location was fantastic. They had a heated underground parking garage, although it was over $20 per day to park. The staff was friendly and helpful the room was clean and comfortable.

People were friendly, room was beautiful. Restaurant on site had great breakfast and location of the hotel was convenient for getting around Vancouver by foot. Meeting rooms were in the hotel and no issues with this area either.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 10 years and the standards of the room quality and the staffs friendly and positive attitude have not change in the slightest. I find the staff very helpful and polite, they are always willing to help and give advice when asked. The rooms are always clean and it appears that the hotel is continually modernizing them.

Stayed for 2 nights on business. Got upgraded to a suite which was huge. The room is clean but dated. There is newer furniture but the building is old. Had a balcony which would be nice in the summer. Very large and spacious room. Bathroom was semi renovated. The staff is what make the place amazing. Pleasant and helpful There is underground parking on site for 28/ day which a a deal downtown Vancouver. Located right downtown within walking distance to everything, shopping, restaurants or tourist sites. Would stay again. Great restaurant on site for breakfast . Very nice staff there too.

Nice rooms and friendly people . Even with maintenance taking place staff tried to lessen delays. Surprisingly the beds were in a separate room so one could watch television and one could sleep with minimal disruption

What a great hotel for the price. It was super clean and the staff was very friendly. We will stay there again when we have to go to Vancouver again in April. And it was close to all amenites and close to great restaurants.

Excellent location to enjoy the Vancouver experience. Close to train and buses and ideal for reasonably priced restaurants. Great for walking to all sight seeing points in downtown Vancouver. Lovely staff and a very comfortable suite.

This hotel had the most comfortable bed that I have slept in from any hotel in years.location of hotel was very good, although I was too tired to walk to go pick up food after the hockey game. I seen all the restaurants around the next morning.friendly front desk staff and concierge.thank you

When we travel to Vancouver it's either for business or entertainment. The chateau has been our choice for past 16 years. We have been apart of all the changes and upgrades throughout the years. One of our favourite is the fact that staff still know us by first name, as we do theirs!

This hotel was beyond expectations. Lovely, clean room. Friendly, helpful staff. Safe, underground parking. And walking distance to Vancouver Canucks hockey game. Close to shopping and restaurants, although there was a restaurant and lounge on site.

I had no idea when I booked this room for vacation that it was actually a suite. It had 2 rooms, 1 for tv, sofa and desk. The other room was the bedroom. Very clean. Room had Kurig and fridge. Staff was very friendly. If you are wanting to plan an amazing day in Vancouver, go see the concierge, Drew Barnes. He planned our daily trips and he will not disappoint. He made our trip a huge success.

Granville St was too noisy every night often fit 4AM .Ambulance sirens and police sirens seemed to be going off every ten minutes. Hotel staff were efficient and courteous but parking was on occasion awkward .Perhaps assigned parking could be provided for longer term stays

We couldn't have been happier with our suite - nor did we expect it! We had a living room, bathroom and bedroom. In particular, the concierge, Drew, was outstanding and gave us recommendations and local tips that made our trip wonderfully memorable. Also, wanting a little chocolate before bed one night, the vending machine wasn't working. A staff member walked by, also had hard time making machine work, so she made note to call vending company and also took me to the front desk where she offered me some chocolate since I was unable to get from machine. Great customer service all the way around - these are just 2 examples.

From check-in to check-out everything was fine. All of the staff incl. concierge and room maid made a wonderful job. The room was always good cleaned. The restaurant had a good collection of food. Also here the staff did a very good job.

Been going here for 15 years and never disappointed. Central location to everything and the staff are very accomadating.The new bar is awsome and breakfast is fantastic. I highly recommend this place for your next stay

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Chateau Granville on September 25, 2019. Out 25th anniversary cruise to Alaska embarked the next day, and the management treated us to a special room with a thoughtful surprise waiting inside. The room was immaculate and comfortable, and all the linens appeared excellent/ brand new. Checkin and checkout were quick and friendly. I think the attached restaurant is the best experience I've ever had at a hotel restaurant. Calm, retro-decor with smooth proficient service and superb food. Apparently a real chef cooking real food, not mediocre hotel grub. Large portions with obviously fresh vegetables, seasoned expertly. Also loved that there was no intrusive music in the restaurant! How refreshing. The entire hotel is strongly, strongly recommended, and I thank the staff for giving our vacation a fabulous start!

My husband and I totally enjoyed our stay at your hotel, comfortable, quiet, clean and the staff are over the top friendly and helpful. Excellent location, fantastic restaurant. I especially like the idea that they lock the doors at 11:00 p.m., which is a good safety feature.

I have stayed at many of the downtown Vancouver hotels. This was a good first experience at this hotel. Good value for price. Clean comfortable room. Decent gym facility. Balcony with nice view. Room upgrade. Welcome package (water and snacks) and personalized welcome letter for elite member. Has underground parking for a fee that's relatively cheaper compared to other downtown hotels. The location is about 10min walk to the downtown mall. The only slight disappointment was I couldn't check in early (arrived about 2pm) despite being Diamond Select, so had to go out in the rain and come back after 4pm interrupting my original plan.

Close to concerts, restaurants , theater and more. If you like the nightlife this a great place to stay. Walk to Rogers arena, BC Place. Parq casino is a 10 minute walk. This is very entertaining at night!

We stayed for one night, we were going to the Commadore for a concert. The hotel was perfectly located, 2-3 minute walk to any theatre . Lots of great restaurants and shops and just great for walking and people watching.

The hotel on Granville Street was excellent and no complaints. Unfortunately, would not stay again because of location. Did not expect Granville Street downtown to be so sleezy with so many Bong Shops, Adult Stores etc. Guess I did not expect this and a bit unpleasant.

Looking for a less expensive hotel instead of the one recommended by the cruise line, I found this one. I am glad I did. My husband and I arrived in Vancouver the evening prior to our sail date in pouring rain. Our cabdriver didn't know exactly where the hotel was but finally found it. He unloaded our bags onto the street in the rain and left. The night manager of the hotel rushed out to help us get our bags inside out of the rain. He and another gentleman helped us get settled in our room on the 14th floor and offered the have room service supply us with food. The room was smallish but clean and well supplied with anything we needed. The next morning my husband made a cup of coffee in the Keureg machine but when he wanted a second cup, the machine failed to work properly. No big deal.., We could get a cup in the restaurant just off the lobby of the hotel. We went down to check out and I mentioned to the day manager Sanesta? about the machine. She Was so apologetic regarding the coffeemaker and offered us anything we wanted for breakfast on the house. This was above and beyond definitely. She kept insisting so we went in and had a very good full breakfast. This whole experience at this hotel was great and I would return there in a minute. Every thing was what one wants when on vacation. Thanks to all your staff!

Chateau Granville's staff was super accommodating for my group. That means a lot when you're traveling with 30 teenagers. Staff to the time to help us accommodate bags and get out to dinner quickly before local restaurants closed, and were so pleasant throughout our stay. Rooms were beautiful! Very well kept. Nice finishes in bathroom and very comfortable beds. The group also enjoyed being able to get fresh air on the balcony, and having operable windows in the room in general. Overall, very well priced for what you get. Location was super convenient. Would happily stay again.

Stayed at the Chateau Granville just for a couple of nights prior to boarding a cruise ship. That said our brief stay was most comfortable in this hotel. We did not check in until quite late and check in staff were most helpful. We had booked a suite which gave us the usual king size bedroom with a TV but also a seperate room with two sofas, fridge another TV, coffee machine etc.. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant attached to it but is also accessible from street and open to non residents. We ate here for both breakfast and dinner. Good food, good portions at prices expected based on the fact that we were in a major city hotel. The city tour bus (hop on hop off) has a stop right outside the hotel and was convenient for the city tour. Tickets are available from the hotel reception. A too briefer stay in this great city in a great hotel.

Revisiting Vancouver after 27 years with our grown up children and it didn't disappoint. Hotel was just right, everything we needed for our stay, near a rather lively street but an interesting stay. Easy to get about and there is a free shuttle that takes you to Capilano Suspension Bridge which we used, perfect!

Really liked the property, the staff was very nice. The only issue we had was we checked in, the room was not ready , we were told the our bags will be brought to our room when the room was ready. We went to get to get some food and walk around got back to the hotel many hours later, got our room keys they did not know where our bags were... are they in your room? No... we have to locate your luggage... great! Went back to the room waited about a half hour, I wanted our bags... had to go downstairs again to see what was going on. The good news is they found our bags in the storage closet, but I ended up bring all of the bags upstairs by myself???

The staff were great, very friendly girl who checked us in. The street noise was loud until about 3am but not the hotel fault. Room was clean and spacious a bit outdated but nice. Comfy mattress. Great chicken wings in the restaurant. I will defiantly stay again.

Very overpriced, especially for the off season. They didn't provide the expected government rate as I normally expect at every BW I have previously stayed at. On top of that the $27 per night parking fee was outrageous! Tub was broken so our toddler couldn't have his usual calming bed time bath, they didn't fix it until our second night despite requests to do so. No complimentary breakfast, and no discount breakfast coupon for the on premise restaurant. No hot tub or pool, definitely NOT family oriented. Won't be staying here again.

Stayed at this hotel with another couple. we booked 2 rooms, same price, my room happened to be older, with poor lighting and bathroom fittings. No hook for hanging clothes and towel rack was low above the closet so could not let the towel hang. The lighting was incorrectly located so that you could not see your face in the mirror. Capsule coffee was rubbish and had to borrow a hot water kettle from the front desk to make my own instant coffee

Staff was friendly and helpful. Their concierge was accommodating. Restaurant is pricey with limited menu. Suggest going elsewhere if you have time. Our room was on 15th floor. It was comfortable and quiet.

The service received by of all the Best Western Team was really great. We arrived 6 am to the hotel and kindly received our luggage so we were able to go and visit Vancouver until late evening that we returned to check in, and process was really very fast. Our stay was great.

Check in was a breeze. The 'stay two nights, get one free' promo was a welcome bonus (I had to ask about promos). The room was well appointed and more than met our needs. If asking for a late check-out because you happen to like to party make sure they pay attention to their own notes. I was comped parking after having been awoken twice unecessarily due to mistakes at the front desk.

My husband and I stayed at the Chateau Granville for one night on our arrival in Vancouver. Our suite was extremely spacious with large windows. The staff were very friendly and attentive. As we were there for only one night before heading up to Squamish and Whistler we didn't get to spend much time in the hotel, but we slept very well and the breakfast at the Edge was great.

Loved the location, just a quick $10 trip from the cruise centre. The view from the 14th floor is beautiful, and the balcony access was great. The king room is large as is the bathroom, and the bed was lovely!! Plenty of options for meals in the immediate area, and the hop on hop off bus stops right outside. The staff were very accommodating, the manager Bruce was very helpful!! Will stay again, highly recommended!

Great place to stay staff went out their way to look after you. Rooms were clean and The restaurant has a large selection with great service. A close walk to the harbour front or there were buses available . We took a taxi from the airport and the set price was $40

We were very pleased with the suite and the restaurant. Hotel reception was excellent. The location on Granville Street strip is not so inviting due to tacky shops and homeless people. It felt unsafe at night.

We had the best time ever in Best Western Plus Chateau Granville. We we welcomed by the entire staff and really felt at home. The king suite ws amazing, we loved the bed and all the space. We were in the heart of town, walking distance from Gastown and Yale town, our favorites. Will stay again, for sure! Thank yuo very much, Anastasios!!!

very good area to catch hop on hop bus and convenient to restaurants!! Loved having the computers available to print boarding passed to fly. Staff was very helpful and friendly. My husband loved having a Starbucks only a block away!!

The staff (Drew, Huan, Ashley, Alina, Nisha, one other house keeper and wait staff) were great. Very helpful, friendly, efficient. All helped make our stay fabulous. The room was comfortable and clean. Our only complaint was the restaurant. The food wasn't bad, just ok. We had a burger, salad and tomato bisque. Just nothing special. Salad was good, soup was a little bitey. Loved everything else. Definitely would stay here again.

Granville Street is busy day and night and as previously there are bars and clubs all around. We didn't feel intimidated and if you have been in any city centre entertainment area on a weekend you will know the atmosphere. The hotel itself is clean and spacious. The staff all polite and helpful. The going rate for downtown seems high though with breakfast not included.

The concierge service was excellent for planning our day excursions. Very close to tasty restaurants. Hop on hop off bus stop is outside of the hotel. Friendly city. Short ride to Whistler. Excellent tip to tip gondola.

We had a suite which was spacious and clean. We were on 7th floor so street noise wasn't an issue. Great location as everything in downtown Vancouver is within walking distance. Granville Street has loads of bars shops etc.

We were a party of 3 staying in 2 rooms for 3 nights. We found the location perfect for our needs. The restaurant was excellent but pricey, so we ate out on the town. Walking distance to downtown and the hop-on hop-off bus was out front of the hotel. No laundry facilities on the premises so we walked 5 blocks to a nearby self service. The hotel facilities were superior, however Sat night the Grandville Road was blocked off for party goers and the noise didn't subside until 2:00 AM. The rates were normal for Vancouver. Would stay again at this hotel.

We have stayed at Chateau Granville many times over the years. This hotel is reliably clean and the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to be accommodating. We like the dowtown location. It is very convenient as a base to travel around the city.

We were very pleased to stayed in this hotel. The attention was very good since the first minute. We met Juan who speaks Spanish so it was absolutely wonderful. He was extremely nice, helpful and always there to help us. He explained to us what to do, how to get there, schedule, tips, etc. The rooms and services are very nice.

I've being staying with Chateau for a number of years, always a good visit in Vancouver when staying there. I was very pleased with the staff. Made us feel very welcome. Would definitly be staying there soon. S.S

Great stay in downtown Vancouver, and Chateau Granville always more than satisfies my accommodation needs! I'll be staying in this hotel again on my next visit to beautiful Vancouver that's for sure!!

The best and most upscale hotel I have seen in a long time. Well decorated. The desk service agents were so kind and helpful. Gave us recommendations on the best places to have lunch and dinner. Advised the other couple that was traveling with us where to get the best cigars. They went out of their way on everything.

We arrived at this hotel very tired from a long flight and momentarily were not sure of our hotel choice. Best Western Plus Hotels rarely let us down. Stepping inside all was good as we were met with an extremely friendly staff. During our stay, no matter what time of day, we had the same expert. Especially helpful were Elizabeth, Angelique and Drew. This is an older European style hotel. We saw people from around the globe who were staying there. Our room was in the top floor. While smaller than most American hotels, it was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were quick to suggest restaurants and activities. The Hop On Hop Off bus stops right outside which was perfect. The last day we had breakfast in the attached restaurant. Very good. Thanks to all the staff who helped make our visit special.

From the moment we checked in the staff was attentive and very helpful. They assisted us with things to do, places to eat and were always spot on. The room was very nice with everything one would need plus. Great city views and very clean. Highly recommend for anyone needing a place to stay in Vancouver.

We arrived here straight from the airport for a two night stay at the start of a family holiday and reunion from the UK. The hotel has everything you want - great location, spacious rooms, and great restaurant but it was the staff who made this hotel. From the welcome and help we received when we arrived to the managers who immediately came up to sort out the safe for us and the coffee machine. Thank you for giving our holiday a great start. Definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel offers everything. Well run, helpful staff, clean rooms, great location. The restaurant serves good food and Tiki Bar has a super fun vibe. Highly recommend this hotel for a night out or a week away.

We had a nice room, two big beds and a living room. Very nice staff at the fronddeskt, they want to help you as much as they can. The room was very clean, good beds, good towels. We stayed on the 10th floor and we had no noise of the city.

Excellent location, close to the most central attractions of the city, a short walk to Yaletown where we found lovely restaurants as well as downtown and all the shops. The room was spacious and clean, with a separate living room and good sized bathroom. We also had a balcony with view to Granville Street.

did not like the view of the alley which had a lot of noise from the seagulls. From bedtime to early morning seagulls were a nuisance. and I can't seem to submit this review without the 200 words or close to.

it was a nice room with a balcony, enjoyed the separate TVs, the coffee maker was a needed addition, should also have tea k cups available. liked the bathroom, clean and neat. concierge was helpful and friendly.

The hotel is right downtown! I was able to walk to the art gallery, UBC, and checked out many cool restaurants in the area. The staff is wonderful and friendly. They were happy to check my luggage before check in so I didn't have to log around my suitcase.

The hotel was clean and everything worked as advertised. The staff in the small lobby were especially friendly and helpful. The hotel location is roughly equal walking distances to the downtown area (15-mins) and the Granville Markets on Granville Island, and from the Yaletown stop on the train in from the airport. However, the part of Granville St where the hotel is located is a little "iffy" - there's a sex shop directly across Granville and a lot of homeless on both sides of the street. Having said that, we were never harassed while walking past the small "encampments" on our way to downtown.

If you're looking for a neighborhood riddles with homeless people and people smoking meth 50 yards away, you've come to the right place! This was our first visit to Vancouver and we didn't know the neighborhoods. This property was downtown and had good ratings and a family setup for 2 kids that worked. Little did we know that we'd have to weave our way past vagrants and druggies, get pushed out of the way by homeless people walking on the street and shield our kids from people smoking meth outside the hotel. In short, don't make the same mistake we did.

The Front Desk and other staff were friendly and helpful. Our king bed room was lovely , comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here again. There are some questionable areas nearby but staff will let you know if you ask. Lovely park a block away and interesting pubs and restaurants. Underground paid parking was appreciated.

Room was adequate, but no comfortable seating in the room so we didn't spend much time there. Hotel location is terrific and convenient for getting around town. Hotel has restaurant attached to it, which was a good breakfast spot.

We try stay here every time we're in Vancouver! The property is very clean, the staff are always kind (Angelica? and Gary? - sorry i don't remember their names). It was a long time since i last stayed here, and a lot of great upgrades to the rooms were done - i like it! we'll be back in September!

Every time I am in Vancouver I stay at this hotel. The suites with a living room are so comfortable but request a higher floor to dampen street noise. The location is within easy walking distance to downtown, Yaletown and Gastown. Drew, the main concierge is an amazing resource for things to do, see and eat. Front desk staff are always friendly and helpful.

The hotel was nice and fit our needs as a family of 5. The room space was comfortable. The bathroom was small and somewhat out-dated. The staff was courteous. Although we did not have any issues, we were a little uncomfortable with the location. It was skeptical during the evening hours.

The location was perfect for exploring downtown. Everything met our expectations! Best Western held our luggage until we were able to grab it after touring Vancouver. The taxi ride was only $31 USD from the airport. Location was also close to our cruise line. Thanks.

Really appreciated having all five couples booked on the same floor even though one chose a different floor later on for the upgrade. The logistics were great for eateries and tour pickup spots. Would recommend to others.

Very well situated, friendly desk staff, bellman provides excellent service calling cabs and holding baggage. Large clean room. Nice onsite restaurant with a good breakfast and small bar for evening libations. Nice patio too, weather permitting. Very good!

Unhelpful front desk staff. Mistakes happen. I messed up my dates of travel by one day and they would not fix the date for me. So I had to pay for a room that I never checked into. The only offering was to reimburse me 30% back. My family was left with no where to stay and they were not helpful with any sister properties around town that could have possibly had an open room.

This is my go to place in Vancouver. Perfect location for almost every live event I attend, and always a great stay. Staff is friendly, rooms are always clean and well stocked. Room rates are always competitive, especially for the quality you get. If I'm doing anything in the down town core, Best Western on Granville is my first choice.

water leaking form the ceiling totally run down hotel under maintained... overly staffed but with no one that could help you... stayed two days.. asked for a price for a third.. one price was 290.00 a night... asked another person an hour later price was 360. 00 plus taxes plus parking... over 400.00 night! i don't pay that in Las Vegas! they have no clue what they are doing... other than ripping people off... most i have spent on a hotel in years... and a 2 out of 10 for hotels.. usual run of the mill holiday inn is soo much nicer for 100 bucks

Very convenient and easy located hotel. We stayed there with 2 kids for two nights Large and comfortable rooms (bedroom and room with sofa bed). Because it is in a busy street with night time entertainment it can be a little bit noisy. If you have a room in one of the top levels it is ok.

Nicely remodeled hotel, very comfortable and clean rooms. The staff was very kind and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is served at an onsite restaurant and was very delicious. We will definitely stay there again.

Hotel was recently redone, new hallway and lobby, Got two restaurants on site, sneaky tiki was full of characters. Friendly staff and great location. Secured underground parking is also available. Visiting from Toronto and Cincinnati.

Very conveniently located. An easy stroll to Yaletown for dinner. Our room was on the backside of the building, away from Granville Street noise, and we were able to sleep with our window open. A nice, large and clean bathroom. A microwave, fridge, safe, and a desk with multiple plugins for charging phones, ipads, etc. The king sized bed was super comfy. One of the little things that impressed us the most was that there were TWO luggage racks. For some ridiculous reason, most hotels only provide one luggage rack even in rooms where there are obviously going to be two occupants. It's the little things that count and it made us happy. The staff were very pleasant and the restaurant served a very nice breakfast. Yes, we recommend this hotel.

I can only highly recommend this hotel when you are looking for a place to stay for a few days while visiting Vancouver. Its central location and most courteous and efficient staff are its most important assets. The hotel offers a good breakfast to get you started before you launch your day's activities. I would certainly stay there again on another visit to this city.

I'd definitely stay again! The bed was firm. The sheets were crisp. The bathroom was spotless. Elevators are a little weird... stops at the Lobby level even when no one has called for it. Only complaint is the parking should be included for the price of the room - $58.00 for 2 nights was steep when you're already paying $450+ per night for the room.

Husband and I stayed one night. Great location. Walked to Yaletown for dinner. Room (on 14th floor) was super nice. Balcony. Bed and pillows comfortable. Front desk staff very friendly, helped with some directions, called us a cab, stored our luggage prior to check-in time. There is a restaurant attached but we didn't eat there, but would certainly be convenient. Didn't hear any sounds coming from hallway or other rooms. Would stay here again.

The rooms are large and very clean. Beds are comfortable.The location of the hotel is really convenient that closes to many tourist attrations and just a few walk minutes.there is always something to watch from the balcony . Beautiful park around the block, amenities galore, and a great restaurant in-house as well as loads of options up the street. I was charged a fee without being notified before check-in.I want to know when it can by refunded to my account.

Great location right downtown Vancouver. Expensive being its summer but was great to have a one day stay free voucher. Bright, very clean rooms. Great restaurant . Loved the area. Big park close by. Granville Park view.

We called to check availability because our original hotel wasn't fit for anyone to stay at. We were able to get a room and it was a really nice room with a separate sitting room and balcony. The staff were all really nice and helpful when we were inquiring about places to visit and how to get around town. The area isn't the greatest at night but much better than other areas we were in while in Vancouver.

Room on the 9th floor was good, as the time we were there was near the July 1 Canada Day Celebration. The street down below was blocked off at the block right across the street. Celebration went on all night, but we were not at all bothered by the noise.The only reason I knew it went on all night was when I got up to use the bathroom I looked outside. And the hotel does provide complementary earplugs in your nightstand!. All rooms have a balcony, which provides a nice view of the city, especially at night. Two room suites provides lots of room, plus I usually go to bed before my husband, and he could watch TV in the living room, while I had peace and quiet in the bedroom! Two separate closets were also nice. Very comfortable beds and living room area. Would stay at this hotel again, and recommend. Parking is available for a fee, but was not to clear to us where it was. I ended up calling the hotel from my rental car to ask where to park. It is in the 'lane' (aka alley) behind the hotel, but is not clearly marked "Best Western". But the front desk guided us in. The on site restaurant was ok. How the breakfast works - They cover what is on the menu up to eleven dollars and some cents. Anything on the menu that is more than that, you pay. But the breakfast menu was very good, as was the food. Very generous portions.. But you pretty much end up still paying something, just so you know. We also ate dinner there one night, and have to say the menu was very limited for dinner. I would not recommend for the dinner.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this clean and comfortable hotel. The staff were polite and friendly. The breakfast was good. The hotel is close walking distance to many attrctions especially to Yaletown.

We just needed a clean place, with food available, in a location close to the ship. We had a good nights sleep and the room was extremely spacious. Great coffee in the room and the breakfast was delicious. Very pleased.

We stayed 3 nights in a Suite with 2 Queen beds and one additional Sofa-bed in the living room and a large balcony. Overall the suite is not very spacious and the bathroom is small. Room was clean but could see some improvements in the near future. If you travel as a family with 5 people space is very limited. The bedroom leaves very little space besides the 2 beds and storing luggage is difficult, too.The walls are very thin and if you are sensitive to noise this might be an issue. But as we did spend most of our time outside exploring the city, we did not bother too much. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay as the location in the middle of Granville street is great to explore Yaletown, Downtown or walk to Robson street for shopping. They have an underground parking as well with adequate space to accommodate even a large SUV. The front desk people and the bell hops were very friendly and helpful, too. Overall we can recommend the hotel for a short city trip as it is good value for money.

Our stay at the Granville was pleasant not only because the accommodations were above par but because the personnel at the hotel went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The location was excellent. Close to restaurants and the waterfront. Bus service was just outside the hotel.

Chateau continues to improve their ability to serve their customers with quality staff and now room upgrades. I love staying at this place and will stay there every time I'm in Vancouver. From the lounge/restaurant to the front desk the entire staff at the Chateau Granville go out of their way to make the stay the best experience it can be. Keep up the great work.

Older hotel that has been nicely updated. Good location to all downtown sites. The staff were welcoming and answered any questions that we had. The hotel should put a complimentary bottle of water for each guest in their room. Some of the BWs we have stayed at do this. It would only cost the hotel pennies.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the great city of Vancouver. The hotel staff is caring and wonderful.We had a day to enjoy the city before our cruise. We walked the streets and explored the shops and restaurants. The light rail thru the city was clean and fast. The hotel is well taken care of with people that enjoy helping visitors. The room is spacious and very clean. The nights sleep was quiet and peaceful. Would like to come back to Vancouver to explore more and would definitely stay at this Best Western Premier hotel

We got to Vancouver from an Alaska cruise and stayed for three nights with a trip to Victoria for high tea on the second day. This is a very comfortable hotel near Yaletown with all sorts of upscale restaurants within a three or four block walk. You are also only 4 blocks from the Canada line train station.

We stayed there for only one night. The hotel is located in a location with many restaurants and shops all around. Room was big, with the bedroom separated from the living room. The latter is almost too big while the former is a little bit tiny, especially when we are four sleeping in two beds. Overall, staff was super friendly, and the room was clean, so the hotel was. Breakfast was included at the restaurant next door. It was a fixed menu, which was okay, but not amazing.

The bathroom was not clean, someone had already used the toilet and left a surprise when we first checked into our room. We complained at to the front desk, but they didn't seem to apologetic and just sent someone to clean it. The night before, we asked the front desk to reserve a taxi cab that will accommodate 5 people for our early fight the next morning. To our dismay, we waited 10min outside the morning of and had to ask again if they reserved a taxi- they forgot. We had to find two separate taxi cabs ourselves.

Excellent service from the staff. The Concierge was very helpful and informative. The barman/ server in the Edge was also very good and he made it a pleasure to be there. I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel was old, but had just been remodeled. The staff was overall great to deal with. The location was in a more rundown part of Vancouver. Directly across the street was a XXX adult entertainment establishment, which wasn't exactly family friendly. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke and I called down the minute we got in the room and was told the manager would call me back. I never heard from a manager and was disappointed with not hearing back and the smoke odor in the room.

We stayed at this hotel following a 7 night Alaska cruise. The hotel, and staff, were just great! We arrived very early from our cruise, and even though it was well before check in time, they found a room for us. They were ready with advise on where to go, what to do, etc., during our stay. A call to the front desk about a TV problem had someone at our door within minutes. Our stay could not have been better.

I was there for a conference. The wait staff were very rude and the food was mediocre.I did not enjoy my time there at all. There were no benches outside so you can sit. The restaurant opened very late as well.

Staff at the front counter were not very friendly or welcoming - all except bellboy Drew who was friendly despite being very busy. We were particularly cheesed when arriving in morning for a 4pm check-in - we obviously did not expect a rom straight away but they said we would be first to be assigned an available room and they would ring us when a room became available - indicating this would be around 12pm. But we received no call before 2pm and when we actually rang them they indicated that a call would never have been forthcoming. And even we made mention of this to the desk clerk we received no apology. If they were not going to ring us they should not have said they would! And the desk staff were not very friendly when we entered the hotel. Besides all this, the hotel is in the grotty end (southern) of Granville St - my wife did not feel comfortable walking along Granville St with the number of street people around. We would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

Excellent accommodations. I loved having a separate room from the bedroom. It was a good value with a good location. In my opinion, the restaurant closed early but aside from that, this a great hotel.

Good location not far from the harbor ! Also, many restaurants are only three blocks to the east. In five minutes you can also go south and can use the water Taxis. Room 1205 has a view on both sides of the street.

need to get new pillows. and the pull out bed needs to be replaced it was rock hard. the room was so hot and the air conditioning only offered a fan not cooling. all night I had to switch from room to living room very uncomfortable.

Room OK, staff OK and helpful, then there's breakfast? If you serve toast please toast it, both sides is usual, and mesmerised how fried eggs can leave the kitchen cold. The staff in the restaurant where attentive and tried, they don't cook the food however.

It was clean......But this was the first time we have had to pay for parking, buy breakfast, and purchase extra coffee if we wanted more. Every BW plus we have stayed at across North America has provided these conveniences. That's why we choose this chain when possible. Will choose a different hotel next time.

My room was Brand new and Parking was inexpensive.the room was very clean. the gym had all new machines and equipment. I thought it was a little more expensive per night than I remember but it is vancouver downtown i guess.

We have stayed in Vancouver a few times and usually stay closer to the water and tourist area. This time we needed to be near the Pacific Central railway station and found this hotel to be in an ideal position. We had a lovely stay for just one night but what is this thing about check in at 4pm for some people. We arrived after a flight from Australia and looked bedraggled but the boy(trainee) behind the desk had no qualms about making us wait 2 hours for our room. This was annoying because other people arrived not long after us and were put straight into their room. Also we asked for an extra hour for checkout and he did not want to help, luckily one of the other attendants was nearby and was happy to allow an extra hour and even gave us a bottle of water each as she could tell we needed hydration. Once in our room we found it pleasant and comfortable. Love the balcony too. The restaurant attached called The Edge was a nice place to have a meal and very friendly service. If we need to stay in this area again we would be happy to choose the same place but maybe arrive a little later in the day.

The location is perfect just walking arounf to the place that we want to go to.,the one that i'm disappointed of is no free breakfast for best western plus its supposed to have it.,i thought i got rip off or scammed cause it said on the website is free wifi and the bottom is said breakfast so assume its free,maybe you have to do something on the website so the guest not expecting it or atleast frontdesk say something about it.for the prize of the room it should be has a free breakfast.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Chateau Granville and the experience was fantastic. Service personnel was courteous. The room was clean and extremely comfortable. There were enough convenient electrical outlets for all our devices. Secure parking was wonderful!!

We have stayed at the Best Western Chateau Granville in Vancouver many times. We have never been disappointed. They have very friendly staff, excellent rooms, and safe underground parking. Newly renovated rooms are bright and airy, and have brought the rooms up to date very nicely. Easy access to many things downtown Vancouver. And their staff are very helpful about things to do in and around Vancouver.

poor value for money. internet did not work for 12 hrs straight. front office did not care in general, internet notwithstanding for general q&a or checkout. location not ideal. in general, poor value for money.

This is the second time we've stayed here for a weekend getaway this spring. The neighborhood is not the greatest, but it's a convenient location and there are other pluses: friendly service (Ali in consierge services was very helpful); restaurant on site; large, newly renovated suites at reasonable prices. Even though the hotel was full, it was quiet. I expect we will return.

Its fine if you are busy. I bought a laptop for my business from best buy. It arrived yesterday and the screen is messed up. I want to exchange it in Issaquah today but we are driving to Vancouver for the twenty one pilots concert and I dont want to take it with me so I was hoping to leave it at your house.

It has been nice to find a hotel with consistently friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff in "the big city" (we live in a small town) - we have stayed there several times over the years and are always happy.

Stayed here for 2 nights. The room was nice, staff was friendly, and every thing went well. The only thing is that the homeless people are very noticeable. If you go out be careful. We arrived late on Saturday 11:58. No problems. But we did call ahead to let them know. They do have a restaurant here. The 2 meals we had were just fine. Would recommend this place for your stay over.

I booked a room with 2 double beds, the beds were in a bedroom with Lg TV and we had a a large lounge area with another TV. There was a big bathroom with shower and we had a big balcony. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Our floor was newly renovated and the room was super clean. It's close to Yaletown and excellent restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff at this property go out of their way to ensure that all of your needs are met from the servers in the restaurant/lounge , the check-in folks, the Bellman to the GM . They are all very pleasant and helpful . I recommend this property to everyone . It was a Business trip for me and a medical trip for my spouse and we were well taken care of .

Good location, EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE (Ashley at the front desk is a Rock Star!). The hotel is being renovated. The new rooms are well appointed and neat. But above everything, the customer service was exceptional.

I recently stayed for a night & found this hotel to be basic, clean & close to everything I needed. Parking for a daily fee$ but was nice to park on the property, rather than have to park far away. Just a short walk to the Many great restaurants and bars (Davie st) The employees were all really kind and truly helpful. Employees made check in/out quick and very easy. I will definitely stay here again next time we're in Vancouver

Hotel was in perfect location to enjoy ALL of Vancouver: walked everywhere in beautiful weather! Convenient parking, clean and warm/inviting staff made our stay perfect. The evening entertainment was unexpected & fun.

Great room with a view. Comfortable bed and even a balcony. We had a bidet in the newly updated room. The toilet seat heated too! At first I was leery of using it but once convinced to try I was sold! Now I want one at home!

Comfortable rooms with great views from the 14th floor, especially at night. It was within easy walking distance of a range of different activities and eating establishment.. check in was quick and easy, also check if they can offer any discount for activities in Vancouver.

Rooms are newly renovated. Staff is friendly. I only had an incidence one day where the housekeeping didn't make the pull out bed and didn't replenish the soap and instead left out soapy crumb soap in the dish. At check out the manager took off parking fees for that so I was overall pleased minus that one day. Although the location is great it can get super rowdy at night as they have clubs and adult stores very close by. It didn't feel unsafe but the noise level was high at night. We did enjoy the beds and size of the room and the microwave and fridge was a plus.

We had a good stay at this hotel. Its location is very convenient and is in the center of Vancouver downtown, at the corner of Granville St. There are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The rooms are very spacious. What we got had a separate living room area, with a writing table, couch, refrigerator and another TV. The beds were also comfortable. Hotel guests were given several breakfast sets to choose from and they were all adequate. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. It was Halloween when we arrived and hotel guests could participate in Halloween games and were given freshly baked cookies. We really liked our stay and would recommend it to others.

Stayed one night, on points, while renovations were underway. Our room was very clean and modern. Hotel is one block away from the Granville Street bars and nightlife. Staff were friendly and late-night ID was required to re-enter the hotel's lobby. Close to many of Vancouver's points of interest. Secure paid underground parking too.

Reception desk to close to elevator when checking out very congested at 11 am Waited 15 minutes for elevate ar check out time. Staff friendly so no problems. Busy area but we're able to get a taxi right away. Service good breakfast, service good. Need hand rail coming down from restaurant as it slopes., just about fell.

The hotel was very nice with a restaurant on property which was very nice when tried and not wanting to walk in the cold or rain. Staff was excellent and very helpful in answering our questions. The hotel is in a central location. There are a-lot of homeless people on the street around the hotel but we didnt have any problems.

Have stayed several times @ Chateau Granville when we travel to downtown Vancouver. It has a good location downtown for shopping or for us to go to Concerts @ Roger's Arena .The rooms are very well laid out & the balcony views of Vancouver are awesome. Restaurant is exceptional. Staff are professional & helpful. I

This is a very nice Best Western Plus hotel. We stayed one night and it was a pleasure. We had a one bedroom suite that was great. The added touch of a microwave, coffeemaker, and fridge was very nice. The whole hotel was very clean. The elevator .. well... ok I guess. Reasonably quiet location.

Stayed in a suite with 2 kids. Could put them to bed and still stay up and relax without waking them. Rooms were clean. It was nice to have a fridge microwave and coffee maker when traveling with children, even nicer that these appliances were hidden away in cupboards and not taking up counter space.

We had a lovely suite that had recently been renovated. The walk-in shower was beautiful and functional. Décor was really good. View of downtown Vancouver was nice. Our dinner at your in-house restaurant was really tasty. Desk staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel was ridiculously expensive for the quality. Rooms were run down looking and theres no benefits of staying here compared to other hotels, no breakfast, you have to pay for parking... I wouldn't recommend this place and will not return .

Got stuck in Van and got a room at the last second at the Chateau Granville. As usual my stay was good. service was fast, rooms large and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful, and there is always something to see on Granville St. The only con is they are working on the hotel and the parking can get a little tight. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff was really helpful and frienely. Great location. Parking is extra at a cost of $16, but that isn't uncommon in Vancouver or unreasonable. Will definitely go back.

We booked this hotel because it was close to the Orpheum Theater. My daughter is in a wheeelchair so walking back and forth was easy. Our stay was great the staff were extremely friendly. The room had just been renovated with handicapped bathroom and super clean. The beds were very comfortable which made for a good sleep.

My daughter and I spent four nights here and enjoyed it very much. We arrived after midnight coming on the train from the U.S. and the staff was very welcoming. The room was wonderful! I believe it had been newly remodeled. It consisted of a large living room separate from the bedroom, so it felt very home-like and gave us plenty of space. The location is within easy walking distance of Gastown, Chinatown, Granville Island, and lots of great shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay here on our next visit.

I requested an early check-in, and completed the online express check in option. Not only did I NOT get an early check-in, but my room still wasn't even ready at 3:00 for normal check-in time. I didn't get into my room until after 4:30. I paid extra for A room with a bidet, but I did not know that meant I wouldn't get a bathtub, only a shower. The bidet didn't work, and neither did the shower. I asked someone to come in to fix it, they said it was fixed, but it was not. I tried three more times then gave up because it was clear they didnt have a clue how to fix it, they just kept pushing buttons on the remote that kept beeping incessantly. I didn't try the shower til morning because there were people in and out of my room a lot for the bidet trouble.... that's when I discovered that the shower head didn't work either!! The manager gave me 20% off my room cost, but honestly I would have much preferred to have been moved to a better room when I first got there. Having to deal with several different people for this issue throughout the evening and next morning really ruined my trip, I was only there for one night to treat myself special, and I spent it trying to get my amenities fixed. Not impressed at all.

It is better to stay some where else instead of here as no breakfast and parking is included in the price. But other than that Hotel is decent, Room cleaning is good. There are many other hotels close by where the parking and breakfast is free.

Despite ongoing renovations , our stay was great. We had a newly renovated room, the bed was so comfy and we loved the bedding as well. New shower was very nice. The balcony is a decent size and you get an excellent view of the downtown area. Everything is so close, the Parq Casino is about a ten minute walk away, Yaletown and Robson are even closer. Nice clean, safe hotel

My partner and I have stayed here a couple of times and have been really happy with our stays. The place is in a great location to walk anywhere or get public transport and offers really reasonable daily parking fees! Being on Granville Street it's got everything from great food at an affordable rate to entertainment and even shopping needs. They're also pet friendly which is why we chose them again for our last stay and the best prices I've been able to find! Plus the staff are very accommodating and helpful which is great if you're not too familiar with Vancouver, they can point you in the right direction!

I would give this location 5 stars if it wasn't for the renovations going on. Once renos are completed I'm sure it will be fantastic. We choose this hotel for the location which is fairly quiet given it's on Granville.

Visited Vancouver for a couple nights and landed here since we are BW members. This place is under going renovations but not to the point of it being overwhelming. They have onsite underground parking (20. A night) and it's secure and safe. We stayed in a 2 bed suite that also had a very comfortable pullout bed. Room was clean and had balcony to take in the BIG city views. Great location to stroll to Gastown, Granville Island, the sea wall walk around False Creek and sits on edge of Yaletown which is a great area for dinning and shopping! We would love to visit Van BC more and would definitely stay here without hesitation.

We totally loved our stay at this Best Western, we stayed 4 nights. The location is great, their rooms are fantastic, modern and very clean. Front Desk receptionists are extremely professional. And we liked their restaurant too.

Great location. Room and bed was nice had recently been renovated. Room was quiet easy to relax. Close to some good restaurants at york town. Staff were friendly amd helpful. The edge restaurant in the lobby was great and very convenient after a big day.

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. I picked the Best Western because "you know what you're getting" when you stay here. But we were pleastantly surprised with the layout of the suite..having the bedroom with 2 beds was very nice.

A quiet room despite being on main road and in entertainment district. The room was very clean and staff lovely. Good location close to Granville island and also shopping areas. Good price. Warning signs that renovations are taking place but they didn't worry me.

On our recent stay in downtown Vancouver, we had booked into the BW Plus Chateau Granville and we are pleased that we made that choice. We had a most comfortable suite on the 12th floor of the hotel, a floor that had recently been renovated. It was spacious, well lighted by normal hotel standards, had two large screen TVs, two single but comfortable beds, which wouldn't have been our preference, but it was a small inconvenience. The suite was clean, the staff of the hotel was top-class and very helpful. Our stay was quite delightful and we would definitely consider this hotel the next time we visit Vancouver.

This is a very serviceable hotel. Comfortable and clean rooms, safe parking, and a good location on Granville Street on the edge of Yaletown. Vancouver's an expensive city, and this hotel is hard to beat for the price.

The 1bedroom suite was recently upgraded. Beautiful bathroom...new walk in shower. Very spacious front room .. comfortable. Bedroom with 2double beds....great selection of pillows. Tastefully decorated.

I would recommend this hotel, the customer service from staff was very welcoming and professional and the room was a great value for the price. I suggest purchasing the breakfast voucher, you get a good sized hot breakfast for much less than you would have paid for the same meal at the restaurant. The room was spacious, well appointed and clean.

Our second business trip and we'll be back. Nothing fancy but good rates compared to other downtown Vancouver hotels. Clean and comfortable. Nice Reno (still under way but noise wasn't a problem). Staff very friendly and eager to help. Good meeting rooms and food.

We have just finished a 3 night stay at this hotel after spending 10 nights in Whistler. The hotel is centrally located and the staff were so helpful with everything relating to our stay. The concierge help set up an extra bed in the room and the suite comfortably slept five. The added bonus was the breakfast which was included. Freshly cooked and was a feast fit for a king. What great value for money and excellent helpful staff. Thanks

Typical Best Western property. Clean mid-range hotel in good repair, nothing fancy but location is ideal for many downtown venues and staff are professional and accommodating. Beds are good but our only complaint was that there was no extra bedding for cooler winter weather (easily rectified).

I would definitely recommend this hotel if your set on staying in this specific area. Lots to amenities to access by foot. Yaletown was just minutes away. We took the skytrain from the airport to save money on a cab and the distance from the station we got off at was a short walk to the hotel. The hotel was kind enough to have a bottle of wine and glasses waiting for us in the room when we checked in as they knew we were celebrating our anniversary. The only criticism I would give is regarding housekeeping. We had left our room for the afternoon with the housekeeping sign on our door only to come back 5 hours later and the room wasn't cleaned. Housekeeping then knocked on our door at 4:30pm and said if we wanted the room cleaned we would have to leave because they were finishing up for the day. I would have also like if the lounge would have stayed open later then 9:30pm.

We visited Vancouver on Feb 16 - Feb 18, 2019 to spend some time with our daughter. We were not disappointed by the accommodations at this hotel. The room was clean, and comfortable, had all the amenities and the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is situated in an excellent location and walking distance to to lots of restaurants, entertainment and shopping. Huge room, nice balcony, excellent location and very well priced! Large room that could sleep 4 if needed. What more could you ask for? Maybe not so many junkies but that's Vancouver for ya. I grew up out here and it's getting so much worse :(

Overall, great hotel...great staff and very attentive! Rooms were spacious and bed comfortable...just a little noisy as we were situated on the 4th floor because we had a pet and it was close to a bar type establishment but I believe if we were situated on a higher floor, it would have been just fine. Gym was great, restaurant was great, location was great! In the summer however, not sure I would stay as there is no pool or hot tub but other than that...wonderful place!

The hotel is in good condition but somewhat dated. The staff was very friendly and helpful even when very busy. We switched rooms to one away from the elevator and it was quiet and very comfortable. One of the best sleeps in a hotel for a while!

We stayed 2 nights and attended the Bob Seger concert the evening of February 7. We arrived mid-afternoon and were upgraded to a king suite. The room was very clean and modern with all the amenities. We enjoyed our stay and when we were leaving on Saturday we were faced with a flat tire in the underground parking. We asked the front desk for assistance and were immediately met in the garage by their maintenance man who inflated our tire and directed us to a local Kal Tire where our tire was repaired and we were sent on our way. This hotel is highly recommended.

I really liked the fact the bed had its own room. Made you feel at home more. Very clean rooms. The front desk was very friendly and quick to answer any questions. The housekeeper was very friendly and good at her job The breakfast was very good and the waitress was right there with your coffee. Also free cookies and paper at front desk

I stayed for 3 nights for a conference. The suite was well appointed, though one tv didn't work correctly. I want fussed as there was a second. The hotel was very quiet, despite advertised construction. The hotel supplied our food for breakfast, which was minimal and lunch, which was amazing. I loved the location. My only gripe was the parking stalls are very narrow and hard to park a larger vehicle.

Room was fine, gym was small but clean. Staff polite. A big bug bear was that I paid for included breakfast +$20 and I was not able to order off the menu, instead all I was allowed was meat eggs and toast. Not great for a vegetarian and very very expensive at $20...Surely included breakfast should be a better deal! Feel a bit ripped off all in all!

Hotel was decent but the strict rules about entering after 11pm were a significant put off. The room was alright but not as nice as comparable ones Ive stayed at for the rate. First best western Ive stayed at in years that charges for the bottles of water in the room. Overall Id recommend staying at the Uptown Best Western.

Upon arrival they were quick to get us booked in and had even done a quick same day change to the booking! Great friendly staff and clean rooms! They always great you as you come in or leave and always look professional and smile! Family pleasure or for work it's the perfect spot!

I always stay here when I come to Vancouver for shows. The location is ideal but not only that: I find the price is great for what you get. The place is clean and has some really spacious rooms for a great price. The customer service is always so professional and efficient. I love the balcony in the suite!

I have stayed at this best western Plus Chateau Granville, a couple of times..their staff is so friendly, and there if you need assistance at all times. it is close to all amenities ...very clean and affordable and will be staying there again.

I booked a Best Western Hotel, because in Best Western hotels, breakfast is included. That‘s what I thought. Unfortunately, breakfast wasn‘t included in my room rate. My expectation wasn‘t met, therefore.

Room was a good size and walking distance to everything downtown. It's right in the middle of the entertainment district and so many restaurants around this hotel. The rate for the night was quite good and hard to beat. Yeah

The location is very convenient for anyone who has to go to St. Paul's Hospital, especially for people who come down from northern British Columbia on the Northern Health Connections bus. The bus stops close to the hotel.

All good...no vending machine available....but corner store across street. Great local. A little noisy from street but also love balcony..,people watch. Few blocks from sky train. Will go back. Beds comfortable

I stay at BW properties most times when I travel for business. On this occasion we booked with our accumulated points. Upon arrival we were met by pleasant well turned out staff. Our check in was relatively quick and we stayed on the 14th floor. The room was well appointed and had current ,clean and functioning amenities. The bed was comfortable with good linens. The view from the balcony was very nice. The location is very central in the downtown area. Close to restaurants and club. BC place, and Rogers Arena are only a 10 minute walk away. This is a nice place to stay

Love the Staff as they were EXCELLENT and very helpful. The staff helped with directions in our going out for entertainment and assisted greatly in parking errors. My wife and I enjoyed my stay, highly recommend. GREAT JOB TO THE STAFF! !

We were greeted with an upgrade to a suite! Very professional, consistent high quality customer service. Room was clean, with good amenities. (In room safe, Keurig coffee maker and supplies, fridge. Fabulous shower! Would recommend.

The room at the chateau Granville was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff are always helpful. But the bar and lounge have been reduced in size from what was a great place to a waist of time. I'm sad to say this will be a major factor in me booking this hotel again.

Nice place to stay, very central and close to a lot things that we can do walking. I just decide to give 4 star because I think that will be nice to have a small breakfast, but, you find coffee machine, frigobar and microwave inside the roo.

I've stayed at the Chateau Granville quite a few times. I can book it with Airmiles so it is a really inexpensive way to get a hotel in Downtown Vancouver for a couple nights. I live on Vancouver Island, so I book this hotel when I go to Vancouver for a concert or hockey game. The location is perfect; you can walk to BC Place or Rogers Arena in 20 minutes. The hotel itself is nice, the rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and it has what you need for an overnight stay. The restaurant downstairs is good for breakfast, and you are downtown, so there is lots to do in the evenings. I don't know if they have any amenities as I've only stayed a max. of two nights, but it's great for that.

Great property. The front desk and bell service/concierge-will never find better. Very accommodating and go out of their wY to recall your name and assist in any way they can. This hotel is one of my favourites. Close to heart of the city, clean, comfortable and accommodating.

Great location for visiting the city. Close to everything, sights, entertainment, bus and skytrain. The hotel is clean, the rooms nicely decorated. The parking was good, safe, and very clean. The hotel staff very happy to give directions and answer questions. Breakfast was yummy. I really enjoyed the bed, good pillow selection, and room had a great view of the city.

The hotel is well priced and well placed. In the heart of the entertainment district which can get a bit busy on weekends. The rooms are large and clean although basic. Bus transportation is out the front door and skytrain an easy walk.

we arrived on January 2nd at 2pm.....there were at least 10 people in front of us ,nonetheless, check in was quick, friendly and efficient....We were assigned a room on the 14th floor with a small balcony....The Room was extremely CLEAN and everything in the room was in working order...The room had a microwave, Keurig Coffee maker and a small refrigerator ...The bed was comfortable ...The bathroom had a rain shower and a European type toilet....No Complaints....just make sure you pick a room away from the elevators and vending machines....we did , at that end of the hallway , it was extremely Quite!!! By the way, we also had appetizers at the hotel Restaurant....The Hot Wings were spicy and delicious with some local Pale Ale from SURRY...

The check-in process is very easy and quick. The room is clean and spacious. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Overall, we have very good experience during our stay. We certainly will come back.

The location is perfect. We stayed during Christmas time. It was a short drive to Stanley Park for the Christmas lights. Our king suite is very nice. Bathroom is small but neat. Finding the garage was a bit tricky at night.

The hotel staff were very nice and accomodating. The room was very nice and quite comfortable for all 3 of us. Location is right downtown so that was a bonus as well. I would definitely stay there again should the need arise.

It was just an average hotel for the price. If you pay for breakfast package keep in mind breakfast is not so good. Its limited option and even quantity not enough to serve single person.Room is lable as suit but dont expect kitchen sink.Room service is good though.

We stayed here prior to our visit with family for Christmas in Maple Ridge. The hotel is conveniently located to shops and restaurants. Very close to nightlife. We were in room 1402 and had a good view although the sound from the street travelled upwards. It was not a quiet room. Bring your own water as they charge $3.50 per bottle in the room. There was a microwave and fridge in the room. There is a restaurant onsite. We ate breakfast there and I ordered a veggie omelet and was given one with ham and veggies. They made up for that. breakfast runs at $15.00 per person. Coffee and service was great! After 11:00 p.m. you need ID to get back in the hotel. Kind of made me nervous of the area. We didn't stay out late so we didn't experience the area after 11:00 p.m. Hotel staff were friendly and approachable! All in all a positive experience!

Have been in this hotel 2 times when picking up my family from the airport and always been a nice experience. Everything's perfect. We live in small mountainous town, so spending a night in downtown is cool for the kids and visitors. Good restaurants around, a park, groceries and liquor stores.

We stayed at this property for 3 weeks due to our family gathering. The staff was friendly and verg helpful. The location of the hotel is very ideal. Short walk to yaletown and to downtown center. Easy access to many cafes and restaurant. Transportation is very convenient as well.

Had wonderful stay at this hotel as usual. Came with family to shop and see some movies and out for dinner. Was being admitted to St Pauls hospital after our stay. Hospital is a block from hotel and shopping and great restaurants all within walking distance or if raining a short taxi ride. Always try to stay here never had any problems. Love the 2 rooms with tv in both. Great hotel and family friendly!

The hotel is both well placed and not well placed. It is downtown, close to subway station, and restaurants and shopping areas.. name it, it is at walking distance. That means it is also noisy until late in the night. I would hear at least one ambulance per night (there is a hospital close by) and some people yelling/partying until 4 am but it is not too loud. it is just there.I had a first room upon arrival then I was heading to Vancouver Island and stayed there for 1 night and I had another room for the rest of my stay in Vancouver. I had an upgrade when I came back which was a pleasant surprise if the bathtub was draining properly and the shower would work... The water was flowing from the shower and from the faucet. The water from the shower was fluctuating a bit while cold water was pouring out of the faucet and accumulating in the bathtub. I was too tired to complain so I showered and went to sleep. I mentioned the issue to the staff the next morning and by the time I got back it was fixed and functional.That was great and very efficient.No complain here.

Customer service was top notch as per usual. I usually stay at this location for the great service and the location. My wife and I like the drinks at the bar and the restaurant makes a great breakfast.

I have stayed at quite a few hotels in Vancouver, and I must say this is one of the better ones. The staff here are very nice, and do everything they can to help make you have a great stay. They have cookies at the front desk upon check in time, and filtered water. They even provide you with umbrellas to borrow on a rainy day. And will store your luggage if you need it stored for a short time. My room was up on the 14th floor (room 1414) comfy King size bed, very large balcony with great partial view. A TV, free internet, Microwave, bar size fridge, and coffee maker. The room is very nicely laid out and is fairly big. A little chocolate bar is on the bed, along with the tv controller . The windows are very sound proof, even in a very busy Vancouver City. I had a great sleep !!! Its difficult to put into words, but the whole feel of the hotel was nice. Very professional staff, and even though the hotel is a little older, everything is spotless. I would highly recommend this hotel !!! And will stay here again.

This is not a very new hotel, howver an excellent service and very friendly staff results in a very good rating. We really enjoyed our stay overhere and at our next trip to Vancouver we will stay in this hotel again!

The staff are great..room is well appointed and feels comfy...beds are super comfy....staff is very welcoming...this property has a great location. They make a great first impression by how clean the alleyway and parkade is. The suites are a wonderful welcoming size and the hotel is very quiet...got a great sleep....will definately come back!

I have been a loyal customer for several years now, I have seen many changes and upgrades. All to improve my experience and enhance my stay. The latest upgrade was the Tiki Bar it's fun and Melvin is one of the best bartenders in the industry. My last stay at the hotel on Nov 21st was great as usual. I was greeted by the front dest staff Allanah and Ashley. They engaged in interesting conversation and recommended a few fun places to explore the culinary experience that is Vancouver.

I have stayed at this location many times, it is centrally located and very well managed. I find it disappointing that they need to lock the doors at midnight, and you have to buzz in, but that is more a societal 'complaint' than anything to do with this property. I would and will stay here again. Truly can't beat it for the location and quite reasonably priced. Did not try the Edge Restaurant/Lounge on THIS trip, next time

We stayed at the Chateau in October, from the beginning to end the service was excellent. The facilities are up to date, super comfy bed. We appreciated the helpful service of everyone, it was awesome to be treated awesome.

It was an amazing stay there. Like how I went back to cleaned room. Excellent staff. Made it easy to get things like umbrella, giving me good information on where to find a nice place to eat. The restaurant was also great. I would definately like to stay there again and would recommend to other people.

We should up without a reservation and they had a nice suite available for my family of 5.With a nice friendly staff and helped us to find a seafood restaurant that they recommend we try just a short 5min walk from the hotel.

We were here for a conference and this hotel is a nice 15 min walk to the convention centre, the room is spacious and service is good. Wifi is complementary, and breakfast selection is decent at the hotel restaurant.

Location is great in the center of downtown. Hotel staff are very nice and knowledgeable. It was a nice suite where 3 adults and 2 children could sleep comfortable with enough space. The only thing is that we didn't know the breakfast is a set menu every morning--we ate the same thing for 3 morning. Maybe the breakfast information should be posted on 3rd party agency such as Expedia.com.

Close to Yaletown Station on the train line from the airport, we found this hotel convenient for walking to Granville Island, the entertainment district of Granville Street, and the stadiums for a concert and a football game. Lots of restaurants nearby as well. Thanks to staff for the loan of an umbrella on one very rainy day.

Had a wonderful stay here. Rooms were clean and well appointed with plenty of space to stretch out. Kind and courteous staff that care about your overall comfort and peace of mind. Would certainly stay here again!

I stayed for one night with a coworker for a nearby business conference, and we thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The room was enormous, allowing us to each have our own space when needed but also to sit down together to enjoy a movie on TV later in the evening. I wanted a proper wine glass for my wine that I'd bought, and they were super fast when I called down to have a pair brought up. Every staff member I encountered was extremely friendly and the on-site restaurant was AMAZING.

We traveled with a pet and were pleased that the extra pet fees here were reasonable and that the room condition in our pet-friendly room was just as nice as a regular room. I was in another downtown Vancouver hotel just blocks away .... their pet fee was $40/night and shockingly ... the condition of the room was completely old and destroyed . a one star at best at a 4 star hotel . We switched and were welcomed here at this Best Western with the best of service and quality .

We loved the hotel. Nice building, very comfortable room, perfect location and friendly staff. Definitely staying again, without any doubts. Although we were staying at the fourth floor, no noise heard at night.

The room was fairly clean but looking kinda tired. Beds were just doubles and quite uncomfortable. We booked this for location as we were attending a concert at the Vogue. It was a short 2 block walk. It was ok for the one night but I would probably find somewhere else next time. Breakfast at the Edge restaurant on site was totally terrible. Cold food, runny eggs and dishwater coffee.

1402 The fire drill 15 minutes after we arrived was especially exciting. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were on the 14th floor and I was about to enter the shower when the fire alarm went off. Fortunately, it was a false alarm.

Easy access from the airport via the Skytrain. Within walking distance to all sorts of shops, Galleries, parks and the ocean. Lots of buses to get to various parts of the city and nearby centres. Good restaurant attached. Great cookies in the afternoon daily! Yum!!!

Some fixture problems in the bathtub, but overall clean and well staffed. Staff was very helpful. Great central location downtown, although night life mostly bars and dining, ostly geared towards the younger generation.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay in the Vancouver downtown. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were beautiful. My room was well appointed, extremely comfortable and it was so nice having a balcony to step out onto. I would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed at here in July and had an excellent visit. Short driving distance to everything. Great rooms, strongly recommend. Starbucks is close by for coffee. Staff were very helpful. Only concern was the number of homeless in downtown Vancouver meant I needed to accompany my mom when she went for morning coffee for safety.

Loved it! The people! the cleanliness and spacious rooms. Highly recommend this hotel. Not too often do you find people who work in hotels that genuinely like their jobs and it truly shows. Also had a fantastic breakfast here!

Our stay here wasn't pleasant. Water was shut off all night, the room smelt very very badly, pee I'm sure of it. Front desk ignored us when we asked for another blanket. I wasn't pleased at all and the beds weren't big enough. By the time we arrived in the city it was late and we had no energy to ask for another room we were only for one night so we stuck it out and left first thing in the morning. We won't be coming back to this hotel.

Clean,close to all amenities, friendly staff and attached is a good restaurant. The hospital appointments were in close proximity. Cleaning staff were very helpful. Front desk answered and assisted us immediately.

This is an excellent choice for a longer term stay. My suite had a seperate bedroom and living room. Staff is friendly and accomodating. The restaurant and lounge downstairs is convenient.This is also a unionized hotel which is the only hotel I will stay in!

This hotel is right on Granville, so close to everything & helpful staff finding sites you want to see.On and Off bus is right at your door, but walking around is the best way to see certain areas.Had excellent, reasonable food in a very clean restaurant.

Our Room on the 5th floor was very spacious with a separate lounge/study area, great to have when you have a lot of bags. The room was well appointed and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate in the hotel on several occasions as the weather was bad and although the Menu was simple the food was always well presented, tasty and well priced. Some noise occasionally from the high rise Apartments around the hotel, but this was acceptable.

Stayed at Chateau Granville BW for a couple of nights. Front desk staff was very courteous and friendly. Room was a bit small (one king bed) but clean, comfortalbe and had a nice balcony. Fitness centre is fine and well equipped. I didn't try the restaurant so can't comment on it. Overall a great stay - nothing out of the ordinary, just fine overall. The hotel is about a 20 min walk to gas town and about 25 min to Granville Island.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cruise terminal was about seven blocks, which was a nice walk. We did not do it on the day we transported suitcases, however. Some of our tours dropped us off at other places and we walked back to the hotel - all a little bit of a walk. LandSea Tours picks up at this hotel, which was great for us. Their tours were wonderful. The attached restaurant was convenient for breakfast.

Nice rooms clean and comfortable, centrally located we were able to walk to many different areas to explore like Granville Island, Gastown etc, housekeeping kept our rooms very tidy, a little noisy at night time but that is due to it being downtown overall we enjoyed our stay

The hotel is well maintained, very clean and well located. The cookies served at the front desk in the afternoon are a nice touch. The only issue we had was we did not receive a requested wake up call. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Vancouver.

6 of my work colleagues stayed at the BW Chateau Granville for 8 days. We were on the 8th floor in a 2 room suite, with two double beds each. The decor is dated but the rooms were clean and serviced daily. The living room and bedroom were spacious and both rooms had a tv. One downside is the shower over the bath, as I'm not a fan of shower curtains. There is free wifi and a room safe. Parking is onsite but under the building and cost $20 extra per night. The Edge restaurant has a good menu and we ate breakfast there each day - average cost $13.50 each. The reception staff are friendly and helpful and the bell man is knowledgeable about tourist things to do. I would definitely recommend this accommodation but point out it is very close to the night club area, so does get busy at night.

R1 evening was a great experience at this hotel. It was my husband's birthday and I left a complimentary bottle of wine and a dessert parfait in the room which was an upgraded room. The staff were friendly and I appreciated the renovated suite

Wasn't sure about this Best Western. we booked at the last minute no time to research it or other places. We found this a good place to stay. Yes, we over looked the adult film store, not a big deal. We never even walked that way. And yes, there are homeless people, like any other large city. we did not find them aggressive or a problem at all. The staff will check your id if you come in late, good for them. The room was fine, there is a microwave and fridge, and coffee maker. The beds were really good. It is an older building, so sometimes you have to reconnect with wifi. we were in walking distance of Granville Island. We walked up the street to catch a bus to Stanley park. Easy to walk to Yale town to grab supper, or even a nice walk along the sea wall. There is an attached restaurant that we never used, as we wanted to try some of the great restaurants in the area.

This hotel is conveniently located near enough to downtown Vancouver, but just far enough to not have the heavy price of a downtown hotel. The staff are exceptionally friendly and professional, and very knowledgeable of services, attractions, etc in Vancouver. We stay often, and their third floor suites are very convenient. Easy walking distance to the eating l places on Davie Street, or in Yale Town. And their in house restaurant is always a good bet.

Checked in after early morning disembarking from cruise ship. Room was not ready, but everyone could not be nicer and more helpful. Front desk arranged tickets for Hop On/Hop Off bus (stop was directly outside restaurant) to see Vancouver. They promised to call when room was ready, which they did. Bellman was also very helpful in storing bags and giving suggestions. Room was large and comfortable. Restaurant was convenient food was good. Had to leave early next morning for train to Seattle. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Fully recommend this hotel!

My wife and I recently spent three nights at the Best Western Chateau Granville in Vancouver, BC prior to departing for an Alaskan cruise. Granville Street is the center of Vancouver's entertainment district. The hotel is steps from theaters, bars, kebab shops, and fast food restaurants. From our brief meandering around the hotel, the seems to be a very vibrant, urban neighborhood - gritty in some parts, high-end in others. Be forewarned: there is a noticeable street population in the area. TIP: if you're coming from the airport, you can take the Skytrain to the Yaletown stop and then walk about seven blocks (a little uphill) to the hotel. Rooms in Vancouver are generally pricey. We booked It on Travelocity and paid roughly $346US per night with tax. The hotel is clean and well-kept, but is in need of updating. The lobby is somewhat small with some limited seating. The staff is friendly. Drew was especially helpful in helping our group with local suggestions as well as scheduling some tours. Amenities include a fitness center (no pool), restaurant and a (tiki) bar. Free WiFi is available in the room. TIP: a variety of restaurants are within walking distance. There's a Tim Horton's a block away and a full-service IGA food store offering pre-made menu offerings a few blocks over on Burrard Street. Our room was average-sized, but seemed smaller due to the amount of furniture crammed into it: Queen bed, dresser, desk, chair, stand with fridge, microwave & Keurig coffee machine. A balcony ran the length of the room, but was devoid of any furniture. We had a direct view of the high-rise residence next door. TIP: Eyeball the glasses in the room before you pour yourself a drink. The bed was comfortable and we had no complaints about the pillows. The A/C worked well, but was very noisy. A pleasant surprise was the USB port that was integrated in the bedside lamp. There was a generously sized closet with a safe and iron and ironing board. No robes, though. The bathroom was fairly large. It was clean and contained the usual amenities, including a hairdryer, Shower pressure was fine. All in all, a good choice.

Great location, wonderful rooms, clean, excellent service from staff. Centrally located in downtown Vancouver. We had a wonderful time. Would always recommend this hotel to all friends and relatives. Wonderful!

Nice hotel, rooms clean and good size. Good position, walking distance to Granville island,near to cycle route but noisy. Walking distance to good food places in Yale town. No pool available. Breakfast was good.

Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, pleasant staff. Hallway decor a little tired looking. Upon arriving we could not find any temporary check in parking. As it turned out, after we found a spot on the street a block away, there was a truck parked across the only two spots available for check in. After checking in parking was not an issue since we returned the rental car and walked everywhere.

Typical city centre hotel with great service. Dated decor (which I'm informed will be renovated this fall) but clean and comfy room. In room AC, TV, Fridge, Coffee and Safe all worked great and were adequate for my needs.Didn't make use of the gym, restaurant or conferencing facilities. Recommended for a short business trip.

A well managed establishment in a slightly shadier part of Vancouver. Good location. Staff were helpful and things were always quite clean. Some of the stuff in our room was a bit old like the bathroom towel hangers and wallpaper areas showed signs of heavy wear.Requested housekeeping come in the afternoons via the provided slips but still had housekeeping interrupting early in the morning. Not a huge deal.Requested a toothbrush as I did not have mine, the provided one was of extremely low quality! Went to a store to buy my own. I think if you're going to have toothbrushes on request - have them be decent quality!Used the restaurant, overall everyone enjoyed their food and wasn't too expensive.

My husband and I went to Vancouver on vacation and planned to stay at the Best Western Chateau Grenville for 7 nights. Unfortunately our staying was cut short by an emergency that required for my husband to be hospitalized. Every member of the staff went out of their way to be supportive and helpful, especially the management: Bruce Sargent and the ones who worked the successive shifts. I really appreciate the help and kindness they showed us in time of need.

It was my first visit to Vancouver, my overall great experience of city was enhanced by a perfect service I received at Chateau Granville Hotel. Even though I never requested anything about my room location but I was given a nice suite on the last floor with an amazing view of the city which is much appreciated. Very nice and clean room that was cleaned (refreshed) daily, good food at the restaurant and an excellent attitude of the front desk staff at check in/check out.Would be happy to come back

Good location and pretty much what's expected from a Best Western property ... except for a few differences ... In past stays at a BW, breakfast was always included in the price. Not so here. Also, this property was considerably more expensive than any of our stays in the past. I wonder whether it has to do with the high cost of everything in Canada.

This hotel is in a great location in the downtown Vancouver core within walking distance to pretty much every attraction and transit to those that are not within walking distance. The hotel is clean but the rooms are dated. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I had a great stay.

The hotel is beautiful. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. It included a refrigerator and microwave. Odd that the ice was only available on certain floors and you had to use the elevator to get it. The door to the stairs apparently locks behind you. We ate at the restaurant next door, "The Edge" and it was quite good! Checking in and out was fast as we paid in advance, and the concierge had a taxi at the hotel within 2 minutes to pick us up. My only issue was that there was some hair in the shower (not mine) on the wall and the grout looked kinda grungy. Otherwise we had no issues.

The room itself is pretty average. It's a relatively old building but its kept well. Location is very good - entertainment/theater district. Its 3 blocks from Robson St (shopping district). Location is tops! We walked from the hotel to Gastown to Canada place and the shopping district. Taxi from YVR is about $30. Car rentals are a block away in case you want to rent one to go out of the city. Parking is additional. WiFi is pretty good (my teenagers were happy with the speed). Restaurant (Edge) was pretty good as well. Staff are helpful and efficient. Cleaning staff (Nisha) prepared our room very well. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

We stayed here for three days in August. This hotel is central and convenient to see Gas town, downtown and Granville island. The rooms are clean, the bed was comfortable. It is located in a transitioning area so you will hear noise from the street (especially at night) but given the location that is to be expected. I would stay here again on a return trip to Vancouver.

The staff came out to greet us on arrival. Our luggage was carried inside. Our room was right next to the elevator on the second floor but the suite so large and well laid out we never heard it. (The elevator is older and moves with significant noise.) The rooms were very clean and as ours was a corner location with windows on two sides lots of light and a large balcony added to the spaciousness. The bedroom is separated from the living room, work desk, and kitchenette space. The concierge was excellent and knows the city well. He assisted us with a multitude of situations from dining reservations to misplaced passports. Public transportation is nearby. The city view is great. Streets in the area are very walkable even at night. The front door is locked at midnight but desk offers round the clock service. A restaurant is just across the lobby and we enjoyed pleasant breakfasts and a lunch there.

We stayed at the Chateau Granville for 3 nights. The room was excellent, large space with bedroom, lounge and ensuite bathroom. Well appointed with comfortable bed and clean and tidy.Staff were helpful. We did not eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food or restaurant. The only issue we would have and this is not the problem of the hotel is that it is in an area of Granville Street which has a number of homeless people. In fact Vancouver has a big problem of homeless. Our experience was that there is no problem with them, they don't seem to beg or cause visitors problems but when we were there, the street was quite dirty with papers and cigarette butts everywhere. Don't let this put you off the hotel but be aware that this is what you will see.

good clean hotel. location is handy to lots of things but not located on the best part of Granville Avenue. we had a suite for two adults and three kids, ages 8, 10 and 15. Nice touch to have outdoor balcony and windows that open.

made use of the gym- good view of the street- especially when it was raining. The restaurant in here has great food ( esp the salads). The breakfasts were really good too! Staff were very friendly and fast service.

This hotel was clean, had free parking (thank you so much for extending our parking on our last day!!), and a great in-house restaurant. It is in the middle of downtown Vancouver, and easy to access. The staff were really lovely, but the lifts were a bit slow.

Enjoyed the location with clean well appointed rooms. The staff were friendly and it was nice to use the parking until 3pm on day of check out. I would recommend the hotel to friends. Having a large balcony off the was also nice.

Was fairly impressed with our stay here. Location is prime - right downtown. Yes the interior of the building is dated but the customer service was top notch, rooms were clean and room service was fast. They've also done a pretty good job noise proofing the rooms from the rest of the hotel, BUT NOT from the outside. We were on the 8th floor and we still could hear sirens and traffic through most of the night. If you're not used to that, it's something to keep in mind. Although I doubt any of the other older hotels downtown would be any better.

i love this hotel, the room service breakfasts are amazing. The comfort of the beds and the rooms are very nice. i always book a suite so i have a bedroom and a lounge, that way there are 2 tv's. The rooms have coffee making and a fridge/microwave. There is a general store across road to buy milk and coffee. Although if you walk across the park (choices) are brilliant to buy food supplies. i would advise buying water at the general store as the hotel charges $3.50 for a small bottle which i think is too expensive. There are loads of places to eat around here and coffee shops it is a brilliant location to everywhere.

We needed a place to spend 2 nights before heading up to Whistler and found the Best Western. No secret that lodging is pretty expensive in Vancouver and we primarily picked the Best Western based on price and room type. We are a family of 5 and truly appreciated the space in their rooms. Our room had a bedroom with 2 double beds and a separate living area with a pullout sofa bed. It also had a desk area and small fridge. Ample room for our family. Beds were comfortable and the couch bed was sufficient. We also had nice balcony area. Housekeeping was very solid and prompt - room was very clean each time they visited. Overall, the location was great. When we first arrived, we were a bit nervous/disappointed. It is directly across from an adult bookstore and some pretty run-down looking storefronts. We arrived in the early evening and didn't really venture out much the first night. We quickly realized the location was more than acceptable after spending a day out and about in the city. Very short walk to Yaletown restaurants, shops, etc. We walked to Stanley Park for a day of biking and then walked back. It is a pretty decent walk, but we made it without any major complaining (kids ages 6, 9, 11). Tons of restaurants and shopping very close by in the main shopping district area. Overall, fantastic stay. We would definitely stay there again. The hotel is a little dated, but it is an excellent value. Staff was very courteous and helpful.

An excellent hotel, with the most friendly and helpful staff. We had an unfortunate personal event during our stay and everybody at the hotel went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and uneventful as possible,

We chose the Chateau Granville for its central location. The hotel has the advantage of being close to a lot of different things in the downtown area. For example Granville Island is within reasonable walking distance and there is a great view to be had on the route across the bridge. The hotel itself is comfortable enough. The rooms are a decent size, very clean and well appointed. The staff were friendly and very professional in handling our check-in late on a Friday night. There is underground parking accessed in the lane behind the hotel and for which there is an advertised charge. The hotel has it's own in-house eatery (which we did not use) and there is a variety of eating options within walking distance. The downsides of the location are that there are a significant number of street dwellers on Granville Street, although we were never bothered by any of them and Granville Street as we discovered is part of the city's social district and when we arrived late on Friday evening the police had blocked off the street and we had to find an alternative route to access the hotel front door which was somewhat challenging as we were unfamiliar with Vancouver. Of course it has to be said that these matters are not within the control of the hotel's management but they are points to note when choosing to stay here. We paid about £220 per night (in June) which was slightly below the average for the area.

Cannot say enough about the quality of service we received from this Best Western. From the moment you pull up the staff is there. Some of us ate in the restaurant/lounge - excellent. The rooms were clean, updated and spacious.

Super friendly staff - This hotel is near Yale Town and the water so we were able to walk almost everywhere. We had a great stay - Drew (luggage captain) was very helpful with information about bikes and places to visit. There is a more seedy part of town on one side of the hotel (adult bookstores etc ) but this did not bother us because the staff were friendly, the hotel was clean, and economical.

My flight was canceled and I arrived with no reservation in the middle of the night. I was truly blown away by the customer service I received! A HUGE thank you to Ashley, you really went the extra mile finding me a place to stay when the city seemed to be sold out! Thank you for being so kind and hospitable! Nice clean room. Appreciated parking underground. It was a very hot day, separate bedroom did not cool off but other than that we enjoyed our stay. The kids got a kick out of the night action on the streets below, that were cordoned off for no vehicles to drive on Granville. Would stay again.

Hotel location is wonderful...right in the middle of Vancouver. Rooms are very nice sized, property is older, but well kept. Staff is what make this place...everyone is very nice and helpful...no matter the question you may have. Hotel is an easy walk to many restaurants and close to the walking/bike path the loops all the way around to Stanley Park.

We felt right at home at Chateau Granville. The staff were really polite and were able to assist with all our tourist questions. The room was big enough to fit a family of 5. We really enjoyed the breakfast options each morning.

Our room was ok and overall the hotel is really OK for a short stay- the negative point is that we did suffer a lot from the massive noise in the street (loud music till 3 am) and this despite the fact that our room was on the 10th floor

My room was not quite ready, I was transferred to a room that was ready, It was a few floors higher, offering a great view of the city. Had a great night sleep.The room was quiet and on the corner of the building. Clean and a very convenient location. Look forward to next time.

We had a beautiful suite with separate sitting and bed room. Perfect for myself and teenage kids. The concierge, Drew, was so well informed, warm and friendly, and helpful. The updates are very much noted. We had stayed here many years ago and are quite happy to say your hotel is so much better now than it was. Clean, modern, great location. We bought a compass card and travelled public transportation - centrally located, it was easy.

We booked 4 rooms for work and all of them were very nice. The reception staff were very nice upon arrival and we had no problems at all. The location is perfect for access to Yaletown and False Creek and is a short taxi ride to English Bay.The rooms were quite and had balconeys!

Best Western Plus has a good reputation so felt comfortable making my reservation. Wonderful bed, lots of pillows. Everything was very clean and up to date. I was worried when I saw the earplugs in the nightstand but it was wonderfully quiet, which made for a good nights sleep.

The hotel is old and the carpets have taken their toll. It is well located in terms of the city but due to the fact that there are bars and restaurants in the zone there is a lot of noise at night even at the 12th floor. The sofa bed in our room was terrible and when we requested a roll away bed they denied saying that the room was for three and that they would only provide it with cost. The concierge was amazing helping us understand how to move and where to go. But the price against the service and the hotel was outrageous we paid 500+ Canadian dollars per night for an old, in bad shape and with a lousy service hotel definitely something I do not want to repeat.

Uncomfortable beds and pillows, very worn out furniture, expensive parking. The only think that i really enjoyed there was the coffee machine in the room. It is a old hotel, noisy at times. I didnt want to spend a lot of money in our hotel because we weren't planning to spend much time there, but if I knew that I was gonna spend almost $1,000.00 for 3 nights, I would deffinetly spend a little bit more for a much better hotel, this hotel definitely is not worth the over $300.00 per night and the $20.00 dlls parking per night. Also, the area is not great if you are traveling with children.

Location for this hotel is very convenient, It is only few blocks away from all the shopping and nice restaurants. The properly does show its age, but it is kept clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful with direction and tips around town. The only thing I want to point out is the noise level at night. As it is close to all the clubs and bars, noise at night can be loud and going on till late. I believe that's why there are actually ear plugs in the drawer of night stand. It did not bother us as much as I hear from other guests we met...

This hotel has nice people attending the front desk and the concierge was very helpful but it is way to expensive for what they offer. Vancouver has a lot of taxes in hotel fees which make it difficult to consider staying there the next time.

Two room suite. It was plenty for the three of us. Quiet, clean conveniently located. Would stay here again. We were on the 3rd floor and it was Canada day weekend and the room was still quiet. Parking garage was pretty tight for bigger cars

When I first checked into this hotel I was very upset and wanted to change hotels right away the only reason I didn't is because they wouldn't let me cancel the night. The neighborhood looked TERRIBLE it was across the street from a sex shop, boarded up storefronts, homeless people living on the street on mattresses and make shift tents. Two nights walking home we walked by three cop cars arresting someone on the street. I was concerned about my safety and my elderly mothers (74 years old) safety as two females travelling alone. FYI, my mother was not concerned. I never thought it would be in a bad area because of the price which too me was very high (Lol I guess I'm not used to the big city prices) However, the clientele of the hotel were mainly tourists and family travelling so I decided to give the hotel a try and stay there for our extended week-end. The hotel is very conveniently located the hop on hop off bus stops outside the hotel doors and the tickets are sold at the convenience store across the street. FYI the bus is a great stop because its just before the big touristy areas where the bus gets full, many times the bus couldn't take on any more passengers and refused 10-15 people standing waiting on the street but we made it on every time. The capilano suspension bridge free shuttle bus also stops outside the front door. Its waking distance to the CF pacific centre with great shopping, (Lol but walking home with your Tiffany's bag might be a problem!) However, if you go one street up or down your miss all the grunge of the surrounding street that made me uncomfortable. The hotel suite suited our needs and it was nice to have all the extra room for our luggage after our Alaskan cruise. The hotel was quiet and we had a great sleep. I though it was a little odd that the hotel had a tally of the towels that our room had each day ... I guess that have theft problems. The restaurant in the hotel was not that great and i would suggest going elsewhere. Overall given the high prices of the hotels in Vancouver i might stay here again... but i would try to find another hotel first.

I've always enjoy my stay at Chateau Granville. The room was comfortable and I like my room higher and they were able to accommodate me. The reason for me is simply the noise factor. However it would make the trip better on days that I am unwell to stay I the room and watch television. The channels that are missing and I would recommend that Chateau Granville get is the Food Network channel, Detour, Peachtree, Showcase, Cosmo would be very nice.

First time staying at this hotel. Convenient downtown location - within walking distance to most locations within the downtown sector. Room was comfortable and spacious with a balcony. Parking available on site.

The Chateau Granville is located in a slightly rundown area just three blocks away from the more attractive Downtown but it's good to see both sides of life when travelling and access to the sights and shops is easy. Our room was good, with separate areas for sleeping and relaxing. Staff were efficient and helpful but if you want lots of information then ask Drew, the older gentleman, rather than the younger one. It was good to hop on the free bus to the Capellano Suspension bridge right outside the hotel. Food was fine and there are other eating places within walking distance.

If you're looking for an affordable hotel with a great location this is for you. Best Western Chateau was an excellent option for me and my family, the hotel is clean, the employees are very friendly and the location was great!

The Chateau Granville in Vancouver has been our destination of choice for many years. Our recent stay was our 62nd night in the hotel. The staff are excellent in every way and the facility is always clean and in a perfect state of repair.

We stayed here at the end of our tour and we were so glad we did. Our 11th floor room was the largest we experienced on our trip with a separate sitting area, complete with a large sofa bed. The room was clean & the beds were comfortable. The front desk staff & the concierge were polite & very helpful. Although very busy, the breakfast in the restaurant was also good with pleasant service. As we were leaving quite late at night, our second breakfast voucher was exchanged for a food pack which was very much appreciated and thanks to the front desk for organising this. The concierge also advised on the best times to leave for the airport. The hotel is very convenient to the city shopping area if you want to walk and if not, taxis are readily available & not expensive. There is also a convenience store just across the street. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Nice amenities liked the fitness room and the staff were great, very friendly and good advice. The area is a little sketchy late at night after the clubs close down but fine the rest of the time. The area has cleaned up a bit in the last few years

The suite was clean, comfortable, and provided everything we needed. The heated toilet seat was a pleasant bonus, and the view on the balcony was appropriately scenic. Staff was polite, friendly, and very helpful. The location allowed us to enjoy going out and coming back by foot without worries. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed here recently when a family member was in the hospital at St Paul's. All of the staff were very friendly and when we needed to extend our stay they went out of their way to make sure they had room for us. The room was very nice with a bedroom and separate sitting area. The beds were very comfortable. We were on the back side of the building, and there was some traffic noise, but not much considering we were in the city.

We have been there 3 times in the last couple of years and love the rooms and the restaurant. It is conveniently located downtown and a short walk to waterfront or shopping. There is also a Taxi stop right out front to make it easy to get a ride when needed. The people are friendly and make you feel right at home! Highly recommend that you consider this hotel for your next trip to Vancouver. .

We were going North to Alaska!...on a Princess cruise out of Vancouver, BC so we wanted to experience the city for one day and stayed at the Best Western Plus Chateau Granville Hotel & Suites. The property was located close to downtown and we could walk to points of interest or take a cab to others not far away. Our room was perfect with a king bed and all the comforts of home. We ate dinner there and our stay was excellent...would highly recommend. TG

We stayed at this hotel in mid-May. Good location, decent restaurant, clean. However, if you are given Room 302, choose to sleep in the bed closest the windows. The second bed has a mattress so well broken in that it resembles a moguls hill. Also, if you require an accessible room, they'll tell you 302 is one. It isn't. Installing a couple of grab bars does not make a room accessible.

The booking was pretty easy was really late at night then my husband had to call to make a reservations. we originally saw it at TripAdvisor and the rooms were alot cheaper on their website. We pay extra money for the parking space but it was secured and it has a gate which it's only allowed if you are a guest in the hotel. and we paid about $100 Canadian dollars more for the suite and also I think my husband said we had to pay extra for the breakfast too . We were told the internet Wi-Fi wasn't working but once we get into the room I connected to the Wi-Fi but it worked so I used it haha. Over all the rooms were clean the place was really clean we stayed on the third floor which was pretty neat because we had two small children and their enjoyed their patio. The people were really friendly. I think it was a monitor and then their stuff was pretty friendly towards our daughters to which I liked it so I guess it was a good place to stay for the night

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well equipped. The two breakfasts at the Edge were very good. I am use to the breakfast being free at other Best Western Hotels. I also think the cost of the room was high.

Would surely stay here again. Food was great as was the room and service by all personnel. Enjoyed the happy hour service and both the dinner and lunch menus, all food prepared with care and served with a great presentation

It has been several years since I stayed at the Chateau Granville and I must admit my stay there was very good indeed. Friendly front desk personnel and very helpful in getting my needs met promptly. :)

We stayed at this hotel twice- the weekend before the cruise and the weekend after. Both stays were excellent. The hotel is clean and its staff is phenomenal. It's close to just about everything there is to do in Vancouver. I would definitely stay here again. You may want to request a room on the left side of the hall or else you may get a view of the adult store across the street. Overall, excellent!!

Flew in from Seattle . Arrived at the hotel about one a clock. The girls on the front reception where very busy with phone calls. No problem. Except there was no acknowledgement by them of our arrival. No eye contact, or hand signal to say we see you please wait. Over 15 minutes later we are still standing there, the door man came over and apologised for the delay. He said it was busy. Which we could see ourselves . He then tried to help us . As our room was not ready. Again they had been busy. We asked if we could leave our suitcases. Which we could . Then we went into the city. The room once we got there was really amazing. Huge. With a lounge room . Big bathroom, separate bedroom. With 2 big beds. Plus a small fridge and microwave . Breakfast was included. Both days are meal was lukewarm to cold. The waitress was not friendly and gave the impression that she would rather be somewhere else on both days .

I was in Vancouver for a week for a sightseeing trip while my daughter was at a conference. The room was very nice and clean. It had a separate bedroom with a loveseat and chair in the living area. The furniture in the living room was so hard and uncomfortable that I spent most of the time sitting on the bed. The biggest problem was the water. I like to make my own coffee when I travel and I even brought coffee and coffee filters to make my own. The Keurig machine in the room didn't get the water any hotter than what came out of the tap. I would have been very afraid if I had young children because water that temperature should never come out of the tap. The hotel was very convenient with the best place for tacos right across the street ($1.50 between 3 and 6)!

We really enjoyed our stay at Chateau Granville. It is close to downtown and we walked to a concert at the Orpheum and to restaurants for dinner. Generally walked around mostly. The only down side was many homeless people on Granville Street and lots of cigarette butts in spite of several people working on cleaning the street. The side streets and parallel streets were more pleasant to walk.Caught hop on hop off bus with ease.The restaurant attached had a good selection of food for breakfast and dinner and good service. The staff were on the whole really helpful. And the room was very clean and the bed and pillows were super comfortable which after a long flight were very much appreciated.

I attended a meeting at the hotel, the staff are very friendly and service oriented, the room was well appointed. I would certainly recommend this hotel for meetings. The Edge social grille has delicious food!

Wonderful staff who were so friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and recommendations on stuff to do. Great view of the city and the hotel was very easy to find as we drove into Vancouver. The room was comfortable and very clean, with a huge bathroom. Each room has its own private wifi which is perfect. Surrounding area wasn't as nice, but the rest of Vancouver was lovely.

This property has an excellent location to get around the centre of Vancouver. It is starting to show its age however the service and staff are fantastic. Hotel management should work with the local businesses to address the problem of the large number of homeless folks in the surrounding area. As a tourist this does give a very bad impression of the city.

Stayed 5 nights, excellent hotel until bed bugs discovered on last morning. Woman at front desk told insects that we found in bathroom were bed bugs from the description provided. Answered like it was not a problem. Did not offer apology or any other compensation.

Hotel is excellently situated to walk to many downtown features and explore the city. Great views off the balconies to enjoy the fresh air as you enjoy a coffee or glass of wine in your room. Staff is amazing!

Nice hotel with a convenient location however, our room which was on the 3rd floor overlooking a terrace was infested with small black beetles. Hotel did not offer any reimbursement for our inconvenience.

This hotel is located right downtown Vancouver and in a bit of a sketchy area. The rooms are large and comfortable and we had our dog with us which was very convenient and the staff loved to visit with her. There is a restaurant downstairs that you can get discount coupons for at the front desk, various type of shopping within walking distance and a dog park a block away.

Excellent hotel with great staff! Entering this hotel your greeting at the front desk and you feel welcomed. The hotel is clean and on the front desk is an assortment of fresh cookies and a table near with a container of water with fresh fruit and ice in it. The concierge was helpful and we received coupons for the aquarium and the restaurant at Stanley park. The Hop on Hop off stops in front of the hotel which makes it so easy. The hotel is located not far from the cruise port, and there are bars, restaurants, and of stores. When we come to Vancouver again we will stay here again.

They Take hours to give you the room, they give rooms to People that just arrived, and the Ones that have been waiting for hours don't have the rooms and have to keep waiting, that it is not Ok..never staying here again for sure!!!

Although the room was a bit dated, it was spacious and well appointed. I appreciated a separate living area and the private bedroom was very comfortable. Considering I was facing a busy street, it was more quiet than I expected. I loved the front desk service and the gym was small but had the machines and weights I needed...a bonus! Don't let the neighbourhood dissuade you as it's only a 10 minute walk to the heart of the city! I'll definitely be staying again. Just to note, if you drive to the hotel, you will notice that there is no drive through area to park in when you check in...just two small spots in front of the building. That can be a bit confusing!

The room was very clean, well kept furnishings. Small fridge, desk and couch and chair in main living area and two comfy beds in the bedroom. Two tvs and a nice view. THE LOW PRICE was shocking since we were going to the Juno Awards ! Absolutely marvelous restaurant attached to the hotel lobby so no need to go out that night! Super friendly and helpful staff. Secure parking area.

Love the cookies. Hotel is located in an area I wouldn't walk alone at night. Okay during the day. Area is convenient. Rooms are nice. Like the separate bed room. Restaurant staff and meal was nice. Bellman was very helpful and friendly.

This hotel was really great. I have stayed here before, but this time I was on my own for the first time. This hotel was extremely clean, quiet, simple yet lovely. I will definitely be staying here again!

I received a discount rate and always worry that it will affect the room assignment. I had requested a quiet room on an upper floor. They put me on the top floor in a fantastic room with a great view. The bed was plush and comfy, there was even a nice cheese and fruit tray. I could not find one thing wrong with this room, every thing was immaculately cleaned. The black out curtains were marvelous and room so quiet. I slept better in this room than I do at home. The front desk staff were friendly and professional, as was the man that checked my bag for me for the day. WI FI was great, others at hotel were friendly and polite.

Spacious suite. great balcony view with garden. Staff was very helpful. Enjoyed the cookies. We had two tv's, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Lots of room for family to gather, watch tv and have a good time.

Stayed only one night waiting for our condo to be ready. Great room, very spacious and check in was a breeze. Had I not already reserved a condo, I would have been happy staying here for the week. Location was central to everything for our walking group.

Although we're not so sure the location at first, however the hotel was a good stay. We like the room have separate sitting room and the price was right. The concierges were very helpful and friendly. We didn't use the restaurant so no comment on that.

My family arrived early, a few hours ahead of check in. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with doing a pre check in and storing of our bags so we could go explore the city. The hotel was very clean and taken care of. The concierge was very nice and helpful. My family and I stayed at this hotel so we could attend New York Rangers vs Vancouver Canucks game. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to Rogers Arena. A lot easier to walk than to find parking by the arena. Will definitely stay here again if I visit Vancouver again.

Clearly an older hotel, but I think the money for upgrades went into the right places. Loved the bidet & walk in shower with the overhead rainfall feature in the bathroom. Great view off the balcony! Would stay again.

From the time I arrived in the evening the staff were excellent, including Bruce at check in. Very helpful staff, directing me to tours and luggage storage. Well kept room and beautiful view from my balcony. I have stayed here before and would return again.

Decided to surprise my wife with a little getaway for the night as we were going to attend a concert at the Commodore. This was part of a belated birthday gift for my wife as well. Call the hotel to check on the reservation and they were able to give us a little upgrade from a double bed suite to a king bed suite. The view of Granville were amazing. The room was updated and clean. Overall this hotel exceeded expectations as we just plan an overnight away from the kids. This is a 70's hotel that has been very well updated. The Location is great. We will definitely stay here again. Pro Tip ask for a room ending in 05. This room had perfect view of both north and south of Granville strip.

We stayed here for three nights and enjoyed the comforts of being close but not right in the hassle and bustle of the city. The staff are all very friendly and the rooms clean and well cared for. Would stay here again.

The Best Western Plus Chateau Granville is a great place to stay in Vancouver. Centrally located with clean, comfortable rooms at a very reasonable price. A good choice for watching hockey games, attending rock and roll concerts or just getting away for the weekend.

this is a well appointed hotel, Big room, double beds, large living area, sofa, chair and nice balcony good closet space, nice bathroom, comfy beds the hotel is centrally located, many restaurants and convenience stores near by the major tourist attractions are easy to get to as well! The room service is great, I only ordered breakfast, it was more than I could eat, but it was tastey there is a parking garage, there is a fee for parking overnight

The hotel experience was really pretty good. Staff were mostly helpful. Room service was pretty good. The room was VERY comfortable and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. There were light-blocking shades for the windows which was quite nice. You have a thermostat in your room so you can control the temp. Nice small fridge and microwave. Great water pressure in the shower/bath. Nice city views from the balcony. Location was quite good. WiFi was also really good. Because the hotel is near some bars, a strip club, and a sex shop, you end up having a lot of street noise at night. It didn't really interfere with sleep, but it was a bit annoying at times. The street is also one of the more "dodgy" ones in the city. Walking up and down Granville was a mix of dodging the people yelling at themselves or imaginary beings, having a mixed aroma of urine and marijuana, and sometimes just feeling not very safe at night. We found that taking the other parallel streets 1 block away in either direction was a much better experience. The hotel can't really do anything about that, but I think it's important to know, especially if you're traveling solo or as a family. We left a day early because of impending weather that would affect our travels; however, I was still charged the full price for parking. I understand not being refunded for the hotel (and I didn't ask; not their fault we left early), but I don't think it was right to charge me the full rate for parking. So overall the hotel was a great experience, but we probably wouldn't stay here again just because the neighborhood experience is so poor.

Could not fault the helpful staff , comfortable beds and large size rooms and the Edge restaurant attached for its quality and good value food . A true oasis in a somewhat run down area of Vancouver that will hopefully improve .

The staff is amazing!!! Melvin in the Edge is awesome! Makes an amazing margarita! The atmosphere is great. Would stay here again for sure!! Went above and beyond to get us what we need. The bar manager was great too!!

Underground parking added $16 to the bill plus $20 for our little dog. Two rooms, 2 TV's, clean, tight but quiet and fresh enough. Good wifi, nice lobby, great location. Got a good price on Trivago. Would do it again

Arriving quite late, the lady at the front desk, Ashley, was very professional and kind. Good late night policy, but seems to cause trouble for the staff! Ashley was very assertive, I am impressed how she spoke and handled the situation with riotous guests trespassing in the lobby. Good job Ashley! Will be back for sure.

Staff were Excellent,Gave Some Great Tips On Where To Go And To Dine.Beds Were Compfy.Only Issue Was Location,Opposite A Adult Store And Homeless People Every where. Personally I Would Stay closer To Canada Place

This hotel is well located in downtown Vancouver. A short walk to the shopping district on Robson St or to the up-and-coming restaurants in Yaletown. In the off season, prices are very reasonable (about $100) given how expensive most hotels in downtown Vancouver are. The lobby of the hotel is small and efficient. The elevators are slow. The rooms are good sized. My room had a single queen bed with plenty of room around it, plus a desk, small refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom had a deep tub with a shower and lots of counter space. The bed was firm and flat, with plenty of extra pillows. The staff are very friendly and helpful, offering to store luggage and letting us park a few extra hours after checkout.

Stay here with my mum for a week had a great stay and a great view from the 9 th floor this my favourite place to stay in Vancouver and as usual it was nice helpful staff clean rooms and great place to eat downstairs in the restaurant Ty's again

Compared to other 4-star hotels ever stayed, don't think this specific hotel is, very old/slow elevator, some/many buttons not light on after pressed, higher(27%) parking tax rate to add parking fee(not sure if Vancouver City really has this so high parking tax rate policy). The good thing is this hotel location is in downtown and convenient for downtown area walking.

I've stayed here many times with my family when traveling to or from Whistler and the Vancouver Airport. I've never been disappointed, and the location is fantastic. Just be careful walking around the city if you have small children, there are a lot of Lingerie Stores, and lots and lots of young people smoking pot. Knowing that, I always feel safe in Vancouver.

Average hotel. Rooms a bit dingy and dated, very much a 80s style hotel. Website definitely glams this place up. Quite expensive but then I noticed everywhere in Vancouver was. Location good, nice little bar and restaurant next door. Cookies at reception!

The Best Western Plus Chateau Granville was an excellent stay. We were near many restaurants and sites to see and the area was pedestrian friendly and busy. The hotel staff were accommodating and friendly as well. A very nice place to stay.

We just needed a night layover between an arrival flight and our bus trip the next day to Whistler. This place served the purpose nicely. The room with the double queen suite suited us well, as our son could have his own space. Room 406, at the end of the hall, was very quiet, with a nice view of the neighboring high rise apartments. We opted for the included breakfast. The value for the All Canada breakfast can be applied to anything on the menu. Coffee was plentiful and service was good in the cafe. The front desk and bell desk staff were also very helpful. The only thing to note is that the hotel is a few streets off the mainstream shopping area. There are lots of restaurants and clubs nearby (one of which advertised “Girls, Girls, Girls”) though we were not bothered by any noise or anything. We were able to pick up a quick dinner the evening we arrived within a few blocks walk.

Friendly and helpful staff. Some parking available underground, but awkward to park outside to book in befoe accessing the car park. Good location on a main street, within walking distance of the main shops and other attractions. Slightly odd atmosphere outside in the evening, possibly because of the sex shop opposite, but safe enough to walk about. Good restaurant (and breakfast) attached to the hotel, with good ranges of food and drinks at reasonable prices. The staff here were very helpful and friendly too. Only real downside was the 2 lifts, quite small, were awkward to get to higherfloors when busy, but the views made that worthwhile.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Chateau Granville in a suite for a couple of nights with my twin boys, my nephew and their best friend, having just completed a one week stay in Whistler. From the moment we arrived the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were upgraded to a room w/a view on the 11th floor. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy. In addition, not only were we granted a late check-out, but since our flight was not departing until late at night, they held our luggage so that we could continue enjoying our sight-seeing without interruption. What more could you ask for!!

I stayed at this hotel for a week in October for business purposes. The stay was uneventful, and I booked in a stay for a week in November again for business purposes. The room smelled so much like weed, I woke up at 5 am thinking someone was smoking it in my bedroom. Tuesday night, I went to have a shower only to find no water in the bathtub. I called the front desk, and was told that they were having plumbing work done and everyone had been advised. I said no one told me or I would have stayed at another hotel. They said they told people at check in and a card was posted in everyone's room. I said that I was not told at check in. No card was posted in my room or I the elevator or anywhere else. I said I had to work the next day and what was I to do with no access to water? She said it's only the hot and it will be back on at 5:30am. I said it's both hot and cold and if I had known I could have planned around this. She offered to have the manager contact me the next day and I said that I did want to talk to him. Wednesday: No contact at all from the manager. They had my cell number and my room number and I heard nothing from anyone. Wednesday night, the room smelled so badly of this weird awful weed smell and almost a sewage smell. I opened all the windows, but it didn't really help. Thursday, the sewage smell was vomit inducing. It was awful. I had gotten back to the room late from work and then shopping... I was due to check out on Friday and noticed my emailed receipt overcharged me $5/day for the duration of my stay. I called the hotel. The front staff are always rude. The girl told me that this was the rate for 2 people in the room. I said it was just me except for the last night and I had told them about this. Further to this, I said that I didn't accept it was a 2 person rate based on what was agreed with my employer. I told her all the issues with the stink in the room, the lack of water, the manager not returning my call, and the sewage leak. she said she would pass this along to the manager. The manager came to my room shortly and said he could smell the stink but that it was from wet overlay. The maintenance person followed him in...and said immediately that there was a sewage leak. The manager tried to argue, and the maintenance person said no...that's sewage. Clearly. Later that afternoon, I got a phone call from the Director of Operations with this site. I believe her name is Alice. She apologized profusely. She disagreed with the extra $5 charge per night and said that this would be reversed. She also said that to try and make amends they would issue a mastercard. She had offered a best western credit, but I declined saying that I didn't think I would stay at best western for a long time. So, she emails me an "amended" receipt which shows a $95 (ish) reduction which I presume was for the water situation and a reduction of $20 for the overcharge on the room...then at the bottom of the receipt, it added all of this back. I called back and asked to speak with the director of operations again. The girl at the front desk got involved and started saying that I deserved to pay the $5/night as they gave me a suite not a regular room. I disagreed and didn't know why I was still fighting over this when I was told it was incorrect and would be corrected. She finally put me through to the Director of Operations who didn't answer her phone. I left a message for her explaining that the over charge had been deducted and then charged back at the end of the invoice. I requested she return my call. The only contact I had was for another invoice to be sent. This showing again a deduction for the overcharge...and then the charge being added back yet again at the end of the receipt. There was nothing that was ever sent by mail despite the promise made by the Director of Operations. I checked out on the 24th of November...it's been over a month and nothing was received. I was very disappointed to see the lack of action and the broken promises that happen at this site from the top down. It isn't worth the cheaper rate...unless you're ok with raw sewage.

We stayed at the Best Western game when we took our son to a Vancouver Canucks Hockey Game. Everything was fabulous. We especially appreciated the kindness of the staff members. Especially the young fellow who took a photo of us by the Christmas Tree.

This Best Western was very spacious (living room + sofas, separate bedroom with two double beds, large bathroom and enough storage space for luggage), clean, with helpful staff. It was roughly 10-15 mins from the main downtown region, with plenty of food along the way. After a long flight to Vancouver, this was a great place to unwind.

Quick stopover. Late YVR arrival. Easy access to/from skytrain and bus to Horeseshoe Bay. 8 minute walk. Grafefully upgraded to king suite. Nice private balcony. Good selection of pillows. Some fuller. Some flatter. Really appreciated. Comfy bed. Quite side of building. No street noise from Granville street club strip.
