Best Western Posada Royale Hotel & Suites

I love this dog friendly hotel. Everything is great from the service to the breakfast. It is conveniently located near restaurants and target.safe neighborhood to walk my dog and also parks nearby. I love that they know me by name makes me feel very welcomed.

Skip this facility at all costs it was a rundown building that needs to be demoed with thrift store, furniture and on safe conditions including extension cords that were plugged into one another cockroaches in the parking lot no type of good housekeeping, including health department, violations, people in the swimming pool at midnight and homelessness. Walking the parlor parking lot every day looking in your vehicles.

This hotel is older and could use a few updates but is very clean! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking available and easy to get in and out of parking lot. Felt very safe in the hotel as well as the surrounding area.

This hotel was one recommended by the venue my daughter was married at, and it was an excellent choice! The staff was efficient, helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean and the location was great. Many restaurants were a short drive away but we could also walk to Target and a few places if we didn't feel like hopping in the car. The fitness center is "compact", but it had what I needed to get a travel workout in. The breakfast was hot, fresh and very tasty. We will be back!

Full breakfast with attentive staff. Front desk staff very professional and friendly. Room was clean and simple. Saw several families enjoying the outdoor pool and hot tub. Close enough to target, Starbucks, subway that you can walk to them.

The rooms, the ambience, the breakfast is different from other similar hotels, makes it a better value and experience by far. We have stayed twice and will keep booking here whenever we are visiting the area.

Really appreciated the friendly and competent staff! Property is very well maintained. Nice gardens and pool area. Recent flooring and furnishing upgrades. Good selection of breakfast options and omelets made to order.

Place is rural but perfect for the Ronald Reagan library. Close enough to local eateries and target by walking. Clean and tidy place. Wifi is fast and the breakfast is amazing. Free but custom omlettes.

Pleasant reception at the front desk . Made you feel welcome. Check process was quick . Explain the free breakfast.Gave dinner suggestions. Room was clean . Like location or my room next to fitness center. Dining and shopping was near.

Our bathroom sink did not drain properly and there was not sufficient toilet paper. You don't want to find this out in the middle of the night. The pillows are too thick for a good night's rest, but the beds are comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The breakfast was very nice, but lacked decaf coffee and cereal.

Well, not sure what to say here. We arrived to the hotel in a bad storm, I've never seen rain like it and we come from the UK where it never stops raining. Not sure if this had put a downer on the staff? Walked in to the hotel lobby, I think we were an inconvenience to the staff behind the desk who had to remove their AirPods from out of their ears to book us in (pretty sure if you didn't have guests in your hotel, then you won't have a job - so perhaps be a bit nicer next time?). The lady told us where our room was, quickly gave us our key card and proceeded to plug her AirPods back in (how dare we interrupt her important music/podcast). Got to the room, nothing special really. Plus it was leaking in from all the rain. Had a good nights sleep and a shower, but in the morning half of the corridor through the hotel to the breakfast room was under water. Luckily the staff in the breakfast room made up for the stinking attitude of the receptionist. Wouldn't come back.

I stay here frequently when I travel for business. The staff is always helpful and efficient. Room is clean. The breakfast is an added bonus that I almost always utilize. It's easily accessible from the freeway and close to restaurants and Ronald Regan Library.

My husband and I stayed one night at this Best Western. I wasn't disappointed in the quality of the hotel or room. The breakfast was above the average hotel fare. However, after having made a specific request for a quiet room, we were placed directly above the conference room that hosts the community weekly "corn hole" competition and facing the busy street. Our floors vibrated with their music until 10:30 pm. The hotel only appeared to be about one-quarter full. I don't understand why the hotel choose this particular room for any guest given the circumstances. We honestly thought it was some kind of a joke played on people who want a quiet night's sleep. Perhaps requesting a first floor room in the back of the hotel would help. BTW - there are no elevators in this hotel.

from the moment I arrived to the moment I checked out, everything was fantastic! Enjoyed a great time at the very clean pool. The maid to order breakfast was excellent. Everything from the bathroom to the iron to check the refrigerator , everything worked absolutely perfectly.

Really nice stay for us. We just needed a place to stay over the weekend for a familly trip and they really took good care of us. Room was clean, good food and a great desk staff too. Next time we come to Southern CA, we'll plan to stay here longer.

Best hotel in Simi Valley. Period. The rooms were clean and staff were very hospitable. My gf and I enjoyed the aesthetics of the front lobby and took a few pictures together. The hotel has its own personality and vibe, more like a boutique hotel versus a big brand corporate hotel. Wait. Almost forgot about breakfast. Customized breakfast burritos. YUM!

In all honesty, and when i say honesty i mean honestly Im being completely honest to fullest level of honesty, this place is great. Everyone at the front desk is kind and helpful and some even go out of their way to make sure any problems are solved. We had some issues with the A/C, luckily the maintenance guy solved the problem and got the cold air flowing. Everyone is great!!

Great hotel. Been coming here for years wont stay anywhere else.It is close to shopping center and restaurants. They have the best breakfast in all the hotels I have stayed at. You can get a made to order omelet or breakfast burrito.

We stayed here because of its close proximity to the Ronald Reagan Library. From the moment we checked in until the time we checked out, we had absolutely no complaints. We had a room full of kids in the room directly above us and we were a little concerned that we would hear them running around but we never did. We had a room right next to the pool and we could not tell because it was quiet even though there were kids enjoying the pool. I have stayed away from Best Western-owned properties for a long time due to some bad experiences across the country. This hotel has changed my mind. I definitely do my research first and see what other travelers are saying about the hotels in the areas we travel. This hotel had great ratings so we figured we'd give it a try. We were not disappointed at all. An added benefit you don't see very often is the breakfast. They have the standard hotel-type buffet breakfast but they also have made-to-order omelets and breakfast burritos. An added plus in my book.

Beware of housekeeping schedule at this hotel!!! They woke us up at 8 am because they have a routine to stick to and no one informed us that they would come by so early!! Use the do not disturb sign or inform reception you don't want housekeeping services or you WILL be woken up early!! Pillows suck too. Way too tall and stiff. You cannot reform them to better fir your own comfort, so unless you have extremely broad shoulders, expect the pillow to be very uncomfortable.

This property need a serious cleaning and updating. Also the restaurant staff should immediately be given training on being courteous to customers. It was as if they hated to see you coming for breakfast. We found dirty socks under our bed. We were registered for four people in our room, and still had to call every day for extra towels which were dingy. One evening they told us they couldn't provide them. There were a couple of staff members who were very pleasant the service gentleman and the guy who assisted us at check in. If in Simi Valley again this is not where I would stay.

The Posada Royale Hotel and Suites always meets and exceeds my expectations. The staff is always warm and welcoming and very accommodating. Courtney and Chris are exceptional staff and it's always a pleasure to be welcomed by them both and the rest of the team. The pool is always clean and inviting. The landscaping is beautiful with all the colorful flowers and greenery. The suites are always a great choice, comfortable and clean. Housekeeping goes above and beyond to ensure everything is clean with fresh linens. The breakfast is always fresh and plenty of food to choose from. The breakfast staff works hard and is always accommodating. Often, I come here just as a retreat from my busy work life. One of my favorite parts is the sunset views at night. Thanks again for another great stay. Brittany King Suite Room was great. Amenities were perfect and I will be returning soon!

We stayed here for one night on Memorial Day Weekend. Apparently, a girl's sports event was happening in town that weekend. The hotel was very crowded (and sometimes noisy) and we didn't get our room request. Our room smelled like chlorine and did not appear to be maintained as well as I would expect for a 4-star property. The breakfast was very good - but crowded.

I always stay here when I'm in Simi Valley. The staff is so friendly and alway have a smile on there face.They have a hot breakfast in the morning and the Rooms are always clean. I wont stay anywhere else when I'm in this area. If you have not stayed at this hotel please give them a try. They are also dog friendly and always remember my dogs name.

It was legitness. Front desk staff was excellent. Some of the kindest, caring people there. Positive attitude all around. Clean rooms and soft pillows. Housekeeping kept our room in top condition throughout our entire stay

Very nice room, excellent breakfasts, very pleasant staff. No problems here! My only negative thought is that they let the shower use way too much water. It was a great shower, but I thought they were short of water out here?? Breakfast has cooked-to-order eggs and omelets, fresh fruit, and all the other usual items. Very nice!

Staff was wonderful, and the breakfast was fantastic, with a great selection and a made-to-order omlette or breakfast burrito. And the bathroom was functional, with good hot water and pressure. But the room itself was substandard, in need of a refurb; numerous holes int the walls which had lackluster patching, so so lighting, and very poor sound insulation with the old style doors between rooms allowing entire conversations to be heard next door. And all this was expensive($170/night).

The staff is great and very hospitable. I was surprised that the manager remembered my name and likes when I returned the second time a few weeks later. The free breakfast is enjoyable, and your can build your own omelet or burrito. The coffee is strong and delicious, so much so that I will fill my cup before heading to the office and drinking coffee there.

My elderly parents (both 85) stayed here for one night. The staff was caring and took care of their needs. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a great stay for them. Thank you for the amazing service.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night to attend a wedding at Quail Ranch. The front desk employee was friendly and welcoming. Our room on the 2nd floor was spacious and clean. The included breakfast had a nice variety of items. We especially liked the made to order breakfast burritos. We would definitely stay here again.

This is our second time here. Last time was three years ago. This place is just as great as it was back in 2019. Great rooms, a superb breakfast with made to order breakfast burritos, western omelettes, fried eggs. Then there is all the other basics: scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, fruit, potatoes, waffles and muffins. The evening check in staff was super and friendly. The same goes for the morning check out staff. I can't say enough good things about host staff along with the staff that works the breakfast.

All the staff that we encountered handled themselves in a professional manner, with smile and great attitudes. They were very helpful, and knowledge of the surrounding area. I have stayed there before, and I would stay there again.

I was moving to SoCal and had been driving the Uhaul truck myself. I was exhausted, to say the least. My stay at the charming Best Western Simi Valley was flawless. My room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I'd recommend this hotel to everyone.

In a nutshell, this place is a lower end hotel with nicer room decor and the price keeps the riffraff away, but it's still got the cleanliness and lack of real amenities issues. For the price, they could do a little better.

Nice, will stay again when visiting daughter who lives in Thousand Oaks. Requested an accessible room at check in & was accommodated, which was conveniently located near the breakfast room & disabled parking. This fact was perfect.

Decent motel in Simi Valley. It is rather run down and dated, but rooms were comfy, air conditioned (a hot September day), and clean. The front desk staff is outstanding--very professional and friendly, as if they worked at a 5-star hotel, not a 2-star motel. The breakfast is a bonus too--hot entrees and made-to-order omelettes.

The service for this hotel was absolutely on target. I was greeted right away, and when I called to ask if we could arrive any earlier, we were told absolutely, they had availability for us. We would truly stay here again. The room was very clean and spacious and the bathroom was very clean as well. The pool was fabulous and empty so it was perfect for us to stay. The breakfast was great too. The only thing I might qualm about is the beds weren't that comfortable, but there were wonderful sheets, blankets and comforters. The pillows were soft too. The beds just weren't comfortable.

This Best Western in particular seems to be 3 steps above the rest. Rooms are VERY clean, and comfortable. Full Breakfast with made to order items makes this hotel stand out above the others in the area. I make a point to stay here whenever I need to come to the Thousand Oaks area.

My stay here was very good all in all. The breakfast had a few unsavory points about it and I think it is overpriced, but other than that it was great. The people at the front desk were especially helpful and pleasant.

The hotel was in a great location for the wedding venue (Quail Ranch). The staff were very friendly, always smiling. The famed breakfast lived up to our expectations and we would stay here again if traveling to Simi Valley.

We came to Simi Valley to visit friends and family. I am so glad we chose this location. The shape of the buildings makes it convenient to all the amenities. The daily breakfast is real food and good coffee and juices, which we appreciated. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. The rooms were cleaned early everyday and done when we returned, even with a few special touches. The staff is amazing, pleasant, on top of any needs and always smiling. The rooms could use some updating but the price justifies it. The pool was clean and never got over crowded. The location was close to shopping and the Reagan Library and Museum. We would definitely come again.

we were just there for one night, wish it had been longer. very nice hotel, friendly staff. Full breakfast. We had our dog and the room location was perfect! 1st floor, in the back near a small dog area. exit to exterior so very easy to take her out without going through the hotel.

Stayed at the hotel for a softball tournament. They had free full breakfast with good food options. We left items in our room after check out. We got a phone call a couple days later letting us know items were found in our room. They arranged delivery and we received the items via UPS quickly. We were surprised to receive such good customer service and grateful. One of the items returned were my daughters AirPods. We for sure thought we'd never see those again.

This is the best managed hotel we have visited since Covid began, 2020. The property is well maintained & the rooms are clean. Design and layout of the property allows kids/families to enjoy the pool while other rooms are available in a more quiet area. A win-win for all! The property is fenced on three sides; this gave us peace of mind about our vehicle at night. Breakfast is very good. You can order an omelette or burrito w/o standing around waiting for the entree. Bravo for outstanding hotel management! We will definitely return.

Multiple nights on 2 occasions. Staff was great, took extra care of us. We were there due to family emergency and expected to be there a week or so, ending up having to stay in California for a month. Spent 5 nights starting April 20th, then came back in May for 5 nights. They even managed to keep me in the same room at the earlier rate, thanks to the wonder gal's at the front desk. Super friendly and super nice.

If I could, I would rate this hotel a 10 stars review, because the staff here is exceptional, kind, & very welcoming. This hotel is extremely safe, clean, & provided everything that my friends & I needed to make our stay enjoyable. I am forever grateful for this! The food is good & very fresh! All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel for any of my friends & family that have not experienced Best Western in Simi Valley, CA! You will not be disappointed!

Full kitchen w/ balcony, 1king bed. Unit 251. Fridge doors difficult to access. Doors need to be reversed. Not everyone is a size 3. Kitchen table & chairs - 0 stars. Wood table 36x36(?) painted multiple times and tacky (in more ways than one). Kitchen chairs left on balcony with bird poop on them. Had to clean to bring inside. Microwave small, but served its purpose. Bed fair. Too firm in my opinion. TV is only viewable from the bed. Cannot view from couch, which was a real drag. Bathroom is mostly updated except tub surround. This room needs serious updating. I expected more for the price charged and would not stay in this room again until it received a major overhaul.

It is very rare that a hotel property can exceed ALL of my expectations. The property is very beautiful and not near any highways or busy streets. It is very quiet and peaceful. I checked in late and was upgraded to a suite. The room was amazing. It was clean and comfortable. The living area was very spacious and couch was comfortable. The bed was also comfortable with very nice pillows. The entire room was spotless. The bathroom was very basic and very clean. The morning breakfast was awesome. They offered freshly made omelletes and breakfast burritos and a select of pastries, scrambled eggs, mini waffles, fruit, cereal, and juices. The price was very reasonable and it's just minutes away from the Reagan Library. The grounds and pool are are very pretty and clean, as well. I don't have anything negative to say about this property. Oh, all of the staff was friendly and attentive, as well.

The Posada Royale Hotel and Suites is a credit to the Best Western chain. Upon entering the lobby you will notice that the interior design is elegant but at the same time comfortable yet classy as your welcomed by a warm and friendly Hotel staff member behind the check-in counter who will make you feel like you're very special and important like a VIP. The Posada Royale has great service with all the amenities of a fine Hotel. Your stay will leave you with pleasant memories of beautiful decor and excellent service that you won't easily forget.

Just spent another week in Simi and stayed at the Best Western Posada Royale Hotel. It's the only place I will stay due to the amenities, location and great staff. The pool, hot tub and outdoor dining area is great as is the central location in Simi to all SoCal attractions!

We stay in Best Western Hotels all over the country, and this is one has one of the nicest breakfasts - hands down. They offer breakfast burritos or omelets cooked by the staff. My omelet was delicious and brought to our table by a friendly staff person. There was also a good selection of fresh fruit, juices and toast. Waffles could also be ordered or you could help yourself to the buffet - sausage, eggs, bagels etc. The staff is very friendly and the room met our expectations for amenities and cleanliness. A great place to stay!

Room Was great bed was very comfortable and the room extremely clean. Staff was helpful and very very professional. Breakfast is now back to full breakfast and we had a great breakfast to start our day Great Place to stay in Simi Valley.

From the moment you walk in the front doors you are greeted with a big smile.I love the spacious clean room and it had a microwave and refrigerator. The pool and spa were so relaxing and clean. I felt very safe and comfortable here. The breakfast in the morning was so delicious and alot of food to choose from. They make you made to order omelets and breakfast burritos. I will definitely be back when I visit Simi Valley again.

The staff was very friendly and accomadating. Rooms were clean and breakfast was made to order and quick. Lots of other choices to choose from and the fresh fruit was wonderful. Would definitely stay there again.

Aside from a small hiccup when checking in late, we loved our stay here! The staff was so friendly and attentive the entire time we were here and made us feel like we were in a much nicer hotel! The only glitch we had was with our (late night) check in. We arrived late into the evening after driving from out of state only to find we were on the second floor with no elevator access. This meant the senior citizen who was traveling with us would need to go up and down stairs many times over our stay. Trying to switch to a lower level room took some time, but once we were checked in and unpacked we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The breakfast was amazing with custom made omelettes or burritos made-to-order!

We needed a place to stay for a little while while selling our home and preparing for our daughters wedding! All of our guests stayed here along with us. The staff is very friendly and helpful! Love it!

For almost 200$ a night you get trash left in the rooms and broken furniture with sharp edges. Day time staff was friendly and professional. House keeping needs to step it up. Prepare to be royally disappointed.

Overall we had a nice stay over two nights and there were positives as well as negatives. Everywhere is nice and clean, including the pool area. Breakfasts are nice and adequate albeit served in a box during Covid, but of a good quality, especially the omelettes. There were two issues. We were woken past 11pm with noises from either the plumbing or something else, outside of our room. We rang reception, but nothing was done, and it continued for some time, both nights. Secondly the bathroom was only half ok…half of it seems refurbished yet the shower was old. See photos. Excellently located for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. There's a few restaurants a short drive away, although we did go to the Panda restaurant next door which was OK. Blue Fin in town was good. Plenty of car parking.

The sales manager at the front desk went above and beyond to make my stay adventurous. She recommended places for us to visit as 1st time visitors in LA. The housekeeping team was respectful and the atmosphere of the hotel was professional.

Came with my husband for a couples getaway. We stayed in a suite that had a balcony with seating overlooking the pool. The room itself is newly renovated and was clean. We got to enjoy of the heated pool and hot tub. The property is big and has multiple seating areas that you can enjoy of. Really enjoyed a quiet relaxing getaway!

An older hotel that has been renovated and is in excellent condition. Large room with small sofa. Also, desk with microwave and mini fridge. There is a hot breakfast. Normal selection with the employees putting your choices in a styrofoam container for take out. Coffee in the lobby.

Mom and I stayed at this property in Simi Valley for our visit to the Ronald Reagan Library and Museum. The location was only a few miles from the Library and perfectly situated for shopping and dining. We even easily made the trip over to Malibu Beach.

During a cross country RV trip we toured Ronald Regan's Presidential Library and Museum. It was rainy and dark when we left the museum. Not good conditions for finding and setting up a campsite. We decided to use some Best Western points and treat ourselves to a nice bed, time in the hot tub and do some laundry. This Best Western was very close by. Entering the hotel property was kind of challenging due to divided highway and corner Chinese buffet restaurant. Our check in process was smooth and room very spacious. We ate at the Chinese buffet, enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was cook to order omelets or breakfast burritos. Served hot and very tasty. Due to Covid-19 they filled our plates for us. Plenty to eat and filling. Laundry facilities are on second floor, our room was ground floor, so there were stairs involved. Nice machines less than $2 each to wash and dry. Overall nice stay.

We have stayed here many times, and have found this to be a reliably good hotel. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The staff is attentive and helpful, and the location is central in Simi Valley. Parking is free and convenient. This hotel provides a hot breakfast, which is almost too popular. While we greatly appreciate the availability of breakfast, over the years we have seen that the breakfast room is too small for the number of guests at the hotel, and the pile-up during the somewhat limited hours for breakfast can be daunting. On this visit, masking on the part of the guests was not being enforced, which made us feel unsafe during the spread of the omicron variant of Covid-19. We will undoubtedly stay here again, despite the slight limitations.

My stay at the Best Western Posada Royale was...Interesting. We checked in and the staff at the front were very nice and kind. We got to our room and It was great. The only issue with the room was we paid extra for a balcony but it overlooked the machinery and highway. We went to the pool which was a little chilly but you got used to it. Everything had been great, until breakfast. I ordered a breakfast burrito with eggs, ham, sour cream, and cheese. It took 35 minutes to be made. I also asked for a muffin ,apple juice, sausages, and potatoes which were pre-made. The burrito wasn't wrapped the eggs were mushy and the ham was cubed spam. The sausages were spicy, and the potatoes were soggy. I almost chocked on the blueberry muffin. You would think their is no way to ruin a cup of apple juice, right? Wrong it had a poorly designed cup. All in all I would stay here again, just not getting the Breakfast.

Leisure. Breakfast was horrible. Food quality bad. Staff and rooms were great. Propert has been upgraded and good security features. Rooms are both exterior and interior at this facility. The pool and hot tub were nice and maintained. Beds need upgraded.

Unfortunately, we will not return to this hotel. The heating unit was so loud it woke us up at 6am and that's a big deal to us since we had a long drive ahead of us. It ruined the whole day! Bathroom walls were not in good shape. You can tell that they did a partial remodel. Vanity looks new but the rest of the bathroom wasn't up to standard. Chipped walls, some areas were just patched up and disguised with a bad paint job. They really cheaped out in that area.... it's like they ran out of money. Breakfast was overall good but the burrito was all soggy inside and unappetizing. Our door took 4-6 tries to open which is not normal. Front desk assigned the same room to another guest and scared the heck out of us when they opened our door. It was an honest mistake and it happens and I totally understand but I can't overlook the other things. For the price we paid, I expected better. We could have complained and got moved to a different room but understand that when traveling with kids, it makes it really inconvenient so we just dealt with it. Plus side, front desk agent was great and beds were comfy but the loud hearing unit really messed it for us.

This was one of the best BW I have ever stayed at. Courteous staff, exceptionally clean room, above-average complimentary breakfast. I will definitely stay at this BW again and do recommend this location.

Layout of room was not bad, couch had stains all over it covered with blanket before sitting down. Party next door up all night banging around in and out of the room, out on balcony at multiple times talking loud, oblivious of time or courtesy to adjoining rooms.

We've stayed in LOTS of Best Western properties in the past 40 years, and this one is the best of the bunch. We had a small suite, and it, like the entire property, was beautiful and comfortable. If we ever get back to Simi Valley, we'll be delighted to stay here!

The staff was very courteous, genuinely friendly and always helpful. I felt like I had known them forever. Breakfast included omelettes made to your specifications.The property is well kept with a beautiful courtyard. It's a great place to have a glass of wine at night.

Noisy noisy noisy plumbing. The hotel itself was was good, but being woken up at 4 AM by a shower running in an adjacent room was a dealbreaker for us. The plumbing in general in this hotel is exceedingly noisy. We could hear every time that a toilet nearby was flushed. But the horribly loud sound from a shower at 4 AM is a dealbreaker for us. We won't return.

Super quiet even when it was sold out. Great breakfast and fantastic location. I stayed nine nights and enjoyed the stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I would recommend not only for business but for vacation as well.

Staff was really courteous and helpful, lobby was clean and the overall look was very modern. Beautiful hibiscus flowers around the hole and especially in the courtyard/pool area. Rooms were very clean as well. Locations was perfect as there are multiple stores in the area for anything you need. Only problem was WiFi was very weak for the type of business I needed it for but good enough to just surf the internet. Overall experience was great, will definitely recommend and will for sure stay here again!

We stayed here for our sons wedding that was near by. The hotel was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was very appetizing and they had it well organized. I wish they had a few more seating areas, but you can take food back to your room. The rooms are very spacious. Personal for me is I wish that the curtains were closer to the window which it aloud some light in the mornings. I like a dark room but not a deal breaker. The grounds are maintained well. If you are in the Simi Valley area I would recommend this hotel. Its also down the street from the Reagan Library and a few other sites.

We stayed here for a family wedding. The rooms were clean and the accommodations were good. The breakfast was delicious. It was nice having that extra perk. The staff was very kind and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Mini vacation to see Van Gogh Immersive Experience, Ronald Reagan Library and NetherCutt Automotive Museum-all 30 minutes or less from hotel and Simi Valley has rolling hills and horse estates. Hotel was on the same street to get to Reagan Library. Hotel was quiet and our room had view of rolling hills.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. This place is more like a motel - open corridor and anyone could just walk up to the room. One of my friends who was staying two rooms away from me saw someone trying to enter their room using some keys! The room was clean, but no night lamp. Two large lamps but no reading lamp. The mattress was not comfortable. Very thin comforter, I had to get blankets. No safe. A/C was very loud. And extremely poor wifi....very poor. It has a gym with a treadmill, elliptical, and a cycle. No towels in the gym. It had free breakfast but the danish was not good quality, the bagels were very cheap and chewy. The second day I just decided to grab it from elsewhere. Worthless breakfast - there is also hot buritto (made to order) and omelette which may be good - I'm not sure - I didn't take them. Overall, the place seems unsafe because anyone get to any room without passing through a common hotel entrance Won't stay again. The staff at the front desk was helpful. The house cleaning was good.

Was hoping this place would be decent for a 1-night stay. At 3:30 AM, someone came to our hotel door and was aggressively trying to open our hotel door and was banging on it. Called down the front desk and they said "I can try to send the manager" they didn't do crap! We ended up calling the police and they came to find the guy who was wandering around in front of our room! Management still didn't call to tell us if it was safe or not to leave our room until we contacted them! We ended up leaving immediately at 6 AM with no sleep and feeling unsafe and uncomfortable the whole stay. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO FEEL SAFE AND GET SOME SLEEP! Fix your customer service too, no one cares about a complimentary breakfast after a rough night like that!

This hotel is very dated. Rooms are small unless you get a suite. Decor is kind of like Office Depot. It is clear and the housekeeping staff were excellent. The wifi was so weak that it was unusable. Front desk staff didn't even know the name of the wifi and it wasn't on the key envelope which had the pass word. Next day, the desk staff gave me information to call the internet provider.

Allows pizza pool parties with yelling and screaming children in and out of pool from 10 am until 11 pm. Constant, non-stop children yelling and screaming in pool and around pool area without consideration for other guests. It was a nightmare stay!

I stayed with my family for a day. We wanted to check out the Ronold Reagan Presidential Library and museum. It was my husband idea. I saw a lot of great reviews and that was why I chosen this hotel. The room was big. It does need a little makeover. The location was great and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. It was made to order burrito or omelets. You can also add bacon and potatoes. It was like eating in a restaurant. The staff were nice and friendly. The complaint I had was we arrived early and asked to see if they would hold our luggages but they said NO. I didn't understand. There were also bunch of grown men hanging in the pool area with beer in hand and smoking. It was annoying. I thought it was a non-smoking hotel. I didn't stay long in the pool area. We don't want to inhale smoke in our lungs. Overall it wasn't too bad. We will definitely come back.

Received one price over the phone over by the manager but female attendant would not honor the rate upon arrival. The attendant said she could not reach manager to confirm my conversation.she suggested I come back another day and speak to the manager.

I have stayed at this Best Western several times pre Covid. The property is is nice and quiet, the rooms are always clean and comfortable. The staff is always amazing. My recent visit was the past Tuesday. The gentleman at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. He even went out to the store and grabbed an item I was missing! I look forward to staying at this hotel again on my next trip to Southern California.

Get it done motel. Tesla charging station near by. Nothing special about the rooms which could use some updating. Breakfast in the morning was to go due the COVID but other restaurants near by were serving as normal.

In town to visit family. Easy to make reservations and all staff were very nice and helpful. Great breakfast with custom omelets, breakfast burritos, cereal, pastries, breakfast meat and potatoes. Cold cereal and juice available. Rooms could use a bit of sprucing up, esp bathrooms. Nice pool. Close to Target, Costco, Walmart, Albertson's etc. Very close to 118 FWY.

I will not stay there again. There was drug paraphernalia on the balcony next to us. Asked to move rooms since I had a small child with me. So they put us next to the ice machine which kept us up all night from it being used and the room smelled awful. The first room had a light that didnt even work but since we moved rooms I didn't care enough to report it. We traveled there for a sports competition near by. So we had a few rooms booked between our group. No one slept well as the beds were very uncomfortable. One group had 4 people with them, and at check in, were told oh sorry the double bed you booked isn't available, here's one bed and a roll away cot. Absolutely unacceptable! For the price we paid, i expected so much more. Check in and check out were quick and the ladies serving breakfast were nice, so that is the score for service.

We stayed here for 4 nights. I loved the full fresh breakfast they serve every morning. The staff are so freindly. The room is clean. The house keeping service could be improved. It would be better if they come in at a fixed time. One day we were in the room, and we told them we would be out in 10 minutes but our room was not cleaned that day. We told them the front desk and they apologized and offered to give us anything we need as the house keepers were gone for the day. Overall, We liked our stay there.

Always stay here when in Simi Valley best part is everything you need is close by food markets walking trails close to all plus black bear diner was the best place to eat minutes away plus going back to room good times

During our repeat stay we tried a double queen room and it was still great. The beds were comfortable, the room was quiet, and breakfast was great. We expected less during COVID and they still served omelets made to order.

I really liked our stay. The man at the customer service desk was very kind. The beds were super comfortable and I thought it was a perfect place the spend the night. The reason why I took away one star was because the man at the front desk asked if I wanted a main floor or upstairs room. I told him it didn't matter and he said he would put me on the 2nd floor because it was quieter. Well we ended up in room 221 which was inconveniently right by the ice machine and it was so loud. It was loud before we went to bed and it woke me up at 4am. Then people outside were so loud too which is not the hotels fault, just people not respecting that other people may be trying to sleep. Overall, I would recommend, just maybe not in room 221 ;)

I made my reservation with Front Desk they handled a special request efficiently and courtesously Check-in was just as efficient and pleasnat. Everyone we encountered was very helpful and pleasant. We are African American Seniors. I felt like it needed to be said!

Room was nice. Lots of room. Beds were comfortable. Great experience. Everything was very clean and staff was nice and very effient. Requested and got early checkin and late check out and was even offered a hourly pay check out of we wanted to stay even longer.

We always stay at the Posada Royale when visiting family in Simi Valley. The property is well appointed and the staff is friendly, courteous, helpful, welcoming and professional. We have recommended Posada Royale many times to friends and family.

Stayed here for 3 nights - was to be 4 but I left early My room was NEVER cleaned, not even the garbage empited! When I spoke to the front desk I was told to come get clean towels and given a garbage bag to empty my own! Told every day that they would clean the next day - Never happened. Great place to stay if you like to clean your own room and put up with coffee stains on the sink when you have just arrived.

The staff was very courteous and professional. The recently upgraded room was comfortable. A couple of complaints/concerns were, that the steps to the north parking lot are in need of some repair. The 1st floor vending machine near the pool has been out of order for a very long time

Had to visit Simi for both business and pleasure. Decided to stay at the Posada Royale. Overall it was a great experience. Reasonable price. Very clean room and great service. Next time I am in Simi Valley I would stay there again.

We loved everything about this hotel, rooms were clean and the bed was so comfortable. I want to acknowledge the exceptional service provided by employees at check-in. They were outstanding - provided a warm greeting and delightful conversation. In addition, let me highlight the GREAT Breakfast (made to order omelets) and an excellent location when visiting the Reagan Museum. . We will definitely stay here again. (our second time). First visit was to view the Da Vinci exhibit and this time the "Ancient History" exhibit.

Room was spacious and clean. 4 pillows on the bed is always a good start. Front desk staff was courteous and efficient. Room faced the street, but noise was very minimal-except for briefly a young child crying in hallway, but that happens. Complimentary glass of wine from 6-8 and a DELICIOUS made to order omelet was a BIG bonus. Hotel was located near businesses we needed to visit. Mom forgot her finishing needle for knitting-Walmart was nearby. Would definitely stay in this hotel again when in area.

Great value, staff, and food. Very large pool area and facility is close to gas station, freeway and food. Bright lighting in parking lots and feeling of security is good. I am definitely planning on staying at this Best Western again.

My husband and I have stayed at the Best Western Posada Royale for the past 6 years,when visiting my family in Simi Valley. We spend at least 6 nights on our annual trip and have found this lovely Hotel to be a wonderful home away from home. Then neighborhood is beautiful and peaceful, with lovely views of hills and palm trees. There is a great swimming pool, hot tub and fitness facility. We stay in the executive suite which gives us a nice living area with couch, large TV, a built in desk area, and a small counter area with bar sink, microwave and fridge. The bathroom area is adequate, but don't like the noisy fan that runs every time you turn on the light. The King size bedroom is large and very nice. Great closet and drawer space and also a second TV! A beautiful feature is the inviting balcony, with 2 chairs and a small table that overlook the pool area and have a lovely view of the surrounding hills. The lobby is beautiful and spacious with a cozy seating area and fireplace. There is abundant coffee and fruit flavored water. One of the more remarkable features of this great property is the awesome breakfast! Served in a beautiful dining room with glass windows overlooking the flowered courtyard, the food is abundant and delicious. Our favorite item is the made to order omelettes! So fresh and tasty! The wait staff is great...caring, warm and very helpful! We love everything about our week long stays at this gracious, lovely place and are already looking forward to our next annual visit!

When I reviewed my credit card statements, I noticed I was charged twice for the stay at this location. Upon check in, I notified the receptionist that I had alread paid and she said I didn't. I told her I paid when I booked the hotel. She then asked for a credit card, and after she checked us in, I noticed the amount was higher than the amount listed on my reservation. I'm currently fighting the double charges; it hasn't been resolved as of this writing. Also note that this hotel doesn't have an elevator so you will have to lug your belongings up a flight of steep stairs unless you request a room on the first floor.

Great place to stay, I have been to many Best Westerns and all have treated me very very good, Great place to stay, been to many other Hotel's, I won't mention there name's but they are hi end hotel's.

Nice hotel. Clean rooms and great staff. Breakfast was very adequate and staff even offer to make homemade omelets. WiFi was good. There are several restaurants within a few miles and Reagan library is just a couple of minutes away. My only issue is that the rooms (especially in back building) are showing their age and can definitely benefit from a “facelift”.

The hotel in staff are amazing Great amenities and a real breakfast unlike at extended stay where they offer you watered down coffee in a granola bar I highly recommend if you're in the Simi Valley area that this is the hotel to stay at

Lovely Best Western...felt more like a resort than a moderately-priced hotel. A few days before, we received an email asking if we wanted to pre-check in and if we had any special requests. We asked for early check in. After requesting that, I remembered that I should have asked for a 1st floor room. When we arrived, even earlier than anticipated, the staff said they had a room available which was not only 1st floor, but was an accessible room. Perfect for us. Staff was very observant and did their best to anticipate the needs of their guests!

The location was very convient for where we were going, but for the price compared to many of the other local hotels I was disappointed. We only stayed here because it was the only hotel in the area that allowed dogs....Without our dog we wont be going back.

Nice hotel, near Tierra Rejada Avenue, very good alternative for highway traffic if you are visiting Moorpark or Simi Valley area. Each room has its own microwave and refrigerators. Very clean rooms and comfortable bed with enough pillows, good amenities, and nice swimming pool area. Enough power outlets for Lap top and cell phones charging. Towels with high quality and good internet service. Breakfast in restaurant is very good. All personnel is friendly. The best option in the area, my trip was business, but if I have to go for vacations to the area definitely will be the best option.

What else to say, the breakfast alone adds value to this hotel. I had a huge omelet, potatoes, sausage, and toast. Would have easily spent $30 at a restaurant. Plus they allowed me to check in early and even upgraded my room to one with a balcony. One warning, there are plenty of stairs and no elevator so consider a bottom floor room if you have joint or walking issues. I was offered help to my room w/my bags though, very kind.

We had a great stay! It was clean, staff was very friendly. We had a great happy hour and free breakfast. The omlette bar was unexpected and great. It was very convenient and a great place to hang with old classmates for our 50th class reunion!

This was probably one of the best hotels we've stayed in. The room was spacious, bed and pillows comfortable. We had a second floor room (warning - no elevator but they will take your luggage to your room for you) with a balcony that we sat out at night. Very nice! Happy hour at the bar, free cookies - yum! The make to order omelette was delicious, other breakfast choices were very good. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is very clean and inviting. The staff is courteous and helpful. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable, there are plenty of electrical outlets, a nice mini fridge and microwave. The breakfast had plenty of options available. The only downside to this hotel is, there is no elevator to get you to the 2nd floor. I would stay at this hotel again when traveling to this area and would recommend it.

We were on our way to San Diego and chose to stay here for one night. The hotel was a normal hotel and the room was pretty big. Comfortable beds. The room was not the newest but it was ok. Breakfast was nice with omelettes although there was a long line. The Cook was fast though. Nothing else except fruit and omelette for people with celiak desease.

We came to Simi Valley for a wedding and this was one of two hotels under the block. I read the reviews before choosing this one. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because it said it was less than a mile to the wedding venue. It was more like seven miles. It's very close to the Reagan Library, which is a must see — even for this Democrat! It's your basic economy motel. It has a fantastic free breakfast — much above the doughnut, cereal bar of most motels/hotels at this level. There was a bar — in same location as breakfast — with a limited menu. We were tired one night so stayed in and had a nice, quiet evening drinking beer eating bar food by the pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. It met out needs.

I was really surprised by this Hotel. I usually stay at the Haliday Inn Express in Simi but on this last trip they had increased their rates. So I took a chance and went with Best Western. I was so glad I did! the hotel was very clean and the staff was excellent. They have a freed wine mixer monday thru thursday night at the bar! Their free breakfast is the best I have ever experienced. They have an omlet bar out on the patio! The lady making the omlets is a master of her craft! You pick the ingredients and she makes the magic happen. I actually could not wait for the mornings to come so I could get my omlet! This hotel is my new home when I go to Simi.

This is one of my best hotel stays I'e experienced in a very long time. I can not think of anything that would make my visit any better - it was absolutely wonderful. Great staff, super clean / spacious rooms and good size bathroom with all amenities. It offers a delicious and expanded breakfast. Many selections to choose from and foods all at the right temperatures. There is an omelette station with a good selections of goodies. My wife had one and said it was delicious. I am on a low carb diet and there were many items to choose. In my opinion one of the best hotel breakfasts I'v tasted... We will definitely stay here when in the area again... As blocks away from the Ronald Reagan Museum - a must see..

Came in for one night with my daughter on the way north along the coast and we loved it so much we just couldn't leave. Had to stay one more day. Clean room, very comfortable beds, the pool is clean and in good shape and the breakfast is absolutely fantastic. The front desk people are friendly and very helpful. We would definitely come back again.

I would give this hotel a 3.5 rating. Very close to the Reagan Library - just down the road. Stayed in a good size room with two comfortable queen beds. The walls were a little thin, but hopefully you will have good neighbours. No balcony - just a walkway going past your window, so don't expect too much privacy with the drapes open. Room had small fridge and a microwave. Lots of parking. If you like a quiet room, do not book a room that looks onto the courtyard.That is where the small pool and hot tub are, and the noise can keep going till late evening. The highlight was the breakfast - simple, but good choices with very friendly and pleasant staff to help you. Simi Valley is a nice place, surrounded by rolling hills and greenery. Not too much history, though.

This place is a step above the rest. Staff is very polite. Room very clean and breakfast surprisingly good. I'm picky, especially when traveling with my family. Was in town for a wedding and very busy with related events. Wish I had more time to just to relax and enjoy the hotel. I like to run - lots of 3- 10 mile options. Very rare that I will comment but I really enjoyed Thursday through Monday stay at this hotel

Everyone that we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Our room had a few bumps in the road, but the front desk staff took excellent care of us. Breakfast was satisfying & the location is perfect.

The service was excellent; the rooms were clean and spacious. Their breakfast was delicious. Very close to our destination and many different restaurants. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the sharp corner of the bed frame. But that was more of my fault than the hotel.

Our room was beautiful and staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Complimentary breakfast/service is better than most. The pool and courtyard was a great place to hang and relax. Beware if elevators are a must because the property has no elevator.

We reserved a block of rooms for a wedding, and we worked with Courtney Stewart to make the arrangements. She always responded quickly, and she made sure the hotel accommodated our large group. Our guests arrived at all times of day for several days in a row and there was always a room available for them. They even helped us with welcome bags for our out of town guests. The hotel may not be the height of luxury, but they provided a hearty breakfast, and had a nice pool area where people could relax between events.

A nicer Best Western than others I have stayed at recently. Friendly staff. Still have the hotel door that opens to the parking lot and the noise that comes with it. Make sure you do not have the room next to laundry room or you will get a lot of unwelcome noise! The room had a more modern touch than typical. Bathroom could use a bit of polishing up. The morning breakfast was very good. There was an excellent omelet station that was a welcome surprise. The rest of the buffet was also better than the usual fare.

I have a best Western corporate account and an a Best Western rewards member. They did not offer me water so I asked them for some and they told me they didn't have any. They told me to go to the soda machine but I didn't have any cash. My husband asked moments later for bottled water and they gave him two bottles in a gift bag. Funny they didn't have any to give me but they had plenty to give him. The lobby decor was old and worn out and there was no elevator at all. The rooms were disgustingly filthy and not well-stocked. We ran out of tissue and toilet paper. The shower was so clogged it didn't drain for an hour after our shower. The desk lamp did not work, either to light the desk or to charge our phones. I stay in hotels all over the country and Canada several times a month and this is the worst experience I've had in years. Not only will I never stay at this hotel again I certainly won't recommend it. They asked me for this social media review. Perhaps they should've heard what I had to say before they did that.

I choose this hotel based on the trip advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. The staff are all friendly and helpful, from the checkin to the breakfast people to the cleaning staff. Their breakfast is amazing. An omelette bar, or eggs cooked to order. I had both over my stay and they did a terrific job. The rest of the breakfast buffet included scrambled eggs, Sausage, potatoes, bread, toast, bagels, muffins, homemade yogurt, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, coffee, juice and more. I've traveled a lot, and this is one of the best breakfasts variety I've had. A beautiful clean pool and hot tub. The water pressure was great. It may sound silly, but the sink drained fantastic. I hate when I shave, and it takes forever for the sink to drain. Come and experience this fantastic hotel.

This was the first time I stayed in this hotel. I loved the fact you could order your breakfast eggs that way you wanted. Room was clean as well! I like it was close to the Highway 118. It made easy to go visit relatives.

The staff does not seem to understand the online booking system. There was way too much confusion surrounding the reservation despite speaking to several BW staff in the months leading up to the trip including days before receiving an Urgent email that they were going to cancel my reservation because they didn't have a CC on file for one of the 2 rooms booked (makes no sense). Front desk person Armando was sarcastic on the phone with me and unhelpful and rude to my husband. So rude that we canceled the 2nd night. George the manager was not much better.

We booked thru BW website based on location and were pleasently surprised at the overall experience. All staff at the hotel were pleasent & helpful. Breakfast was nice to be included as well as happy hour wine. We will be back.

This is one of the best Best Western motels I have stayed at in recent years. The grounds are well kept, the facilities are outstanding, all the personnel are well trained and professional, the beds are comfortable and the room was clean and well appointed. The management in this motel has it cooking!

This is the place to stay in Moorpark. I have stayed here over Memorial Day weekend for the past 19 years attending The Cal Cup Field Hockey Tournament. The staff is awesome especially Courtney their Sales manager. They always make our stay special. They have a great breakfast l, super clean rooms, a nice lounge and bar area, as well a a perfectly situated swimming pool and Hot tub. The staff is always kind and courteous, and I have never had an issue at all. I bring a lot of teenagers with me and they are so nice about putting us in a portion of the hotel where the kids can get easy access to the pool and are always there to make sure we are all taken care of

this place was more than i could of asked for. The breakfast was amazing. It was like being at a restaurant for brunch. the entire hotel staff was very help from the front desk to housekeeping. Abas who checked me in made sure I knew about the bar and the free wine!

Yep - -that's right. 10pm at night I open the door to the room assigned to me by the front desk and there was someone else in my room. Surprise to both of us. Tired and frustrated, trudged back to the front desk only to be told I had to wait in line for help even though, yes someone else was in my room. Agent that night explained a homeless person was in my room and this had happened several times this week; upon checkout three days later, the manager explained it wasn't a homeless person but a mistake by the front desk. Not sure which to believe, but neither answer is indicative of a place with their act together. The manager also apologized and offered to put enough points in my account for a free night, but that hasn't happened yet. My recommendation? Keep on driving. don't stop.

This was my first trip to this area, and although I'm a Marriott Gold Member, I decided to stay at this hotel due to the many positive comments here on TripAdvisor. The hotel was very nice for the area. Check in with Armando (?) was very friendly and courteous. They had fresh baked cookies at check-in which was a nice treat. I was given room #245 which had a nice view over the pool/hot tub area. Room was clean and comfortable. Only negative is the doors are not very sound proof as I could hear neighbors doors closing throughout my stay. I was right near the exit door to the outside staircase, but luckily that door had a good hinge which prevented it from closing quickly. The free breakfast was very good, but I wish they had offered other choices for bagels (other than plain) such as cinnamon-raisin. Staff was very friendly. Bar service from Michael was great, but drafts beers were slightly on the expensive side. Very close to Reagan Presidential Library/Museum which is what brought me to this area. Ate one evening at Barton's steakhouse which was excellent. Would not hesitate to stay at this same hotel if I return to Simi Valley.

Stayed here one night. Quite an old building that shows much sign of wear. Rusty hinges on bathroom door, numerous coats of paint on everything, no elevator in the building we had a room and the telephone in the room didn't work. We also had to slam the door with a shoulder to get it open, the door was bent and wouldn't open normally. Plus, the air conditioning kept shutting off during the night. Quite a disappointment for a Best Western. Wouldn't recommend the place.

Good location for visiting Reagan Presidential Library. Desk staff friendly. Our room was comfortably furnished, spotless, quiet and bed was very good. Many restaurants in the area. Would stay again. Would stay again.

I had stayed here a few times a couple of years ago and had a good experience. I just stayed here and they had done some updating of furniture and carpet. When I went to use the shower, I found the water to be very hot and quickly turned the knob to the right (universal direction for cold water) only to find the water was now extremely HOT! The valves were not installed correctly, the right was Hot and the left Cold. #239 I told the desk that this should be corrected so nobody else gets burned and the desk took note to have it looked into. I called later in the day once I was home to follow up. Nobody asked if I was OK. Outside of that, the rooms appeared clean. The breakfast is good and offers several choices. It is not likely that I would stay here again..

Well appointed hotel in Simi Valley. Cleaner and better service than other local hotels and with a decent breakfast offered as well. Staff were very helpful and exceeded my expectations. Bar facility was a bonus.

Easy distance to the Reagan Library and there are many close restaurants in walking distance. There are also some close grocery stores and Costco is nearby. Bike trail is just up the road and offers a chance to run or use your bike. The front desk were cheerful and really positive. There is a nice wine reception on M-Th ! A full breakfast is served too. Very nice stay!

I've been to this hotel on many occasions traveling for work. I don't recall ever being disappointed. Best staff, always friendly, going out of their way to make the experience enjoyable. Keep up the good work!

With the exception of a few minor issues the guest room was very nice and comfortable. It appears the hotel has been recently remodeled both inside and out. I cannot comment on the free breakfast, as we did not take advantage of the offer. The hotel also allows dogs. The would stay here again.

First, the staff at this hotel was great to work with. They were friendly and helpful. The breakfast gave a lot of options including omelets made to order from a set of ingredients (they didn't have individual yogurt which was disappointing since the only other option for yogurt appeared to be gruel from a machine). Lobby had coffee all day which was nice. The pool was ok and the spa was barely warm. The rooms were in need of some work with the cracks in the walls, ceilings, locks on the doors loose. The owner arranged for a 6AM installation of some vending machines--the staff apologized profusely but they had no control over that. If not for a few of these items, this would have been a 4.

Had a short stay here great value room was nice breakfast was included. Loved the lobby stocked with coffee or tea and water. Staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommend. Convenient location.

Hotel, check-in and staff were fine. Room not so much. We had difficulty with the door lock. When we got there lock worked ok, went to the pool and upon returning door would not open. Staff at front desk came up to help, and had no luck. He went and got his special key, still did not work. By now the rest of our family members were ready to leave for the restaurant, we're still locked out. Next the maintenance person came to help, no luck, so he next brought a special gadget he attached to the door, and got it open. The down side is that it was unlocked, and would not lock. We didn't feel comfortable leaving with our possessions inside and unpacked, with a door that would not lock. Another 15 minutes, and I check at the desk. Maintenance did not have a screwdriver that would work on the lock to change the batteries, so they were looking. Another 15 minutes, and I go down to the desk again, do not find either first desk person, or maintenance, but the second front desk person who was aware of the situation was helpful. I suggested that a room switch might be in order, and he agreed. Did not see maintenance again, maybe still at Home Depot looking for a screwdriver. We did make it to dinner in time for dessert. Upon returning we became aware of a problem with the door lock on the room right next to our second room. Not a good day for staff and locks. The hotel was fine otherwise. Staff at all time was courteous and friendly. Pool was fine, and breakfast was fine One issue I was aware of on my many trips to the front desk was that there is no elevator to the second floor, and this did bother some people

Staff was helpful. Each time that I had a question, they were there to help in a exceptional manner. Continental breakfast was great. They had a milk alternative - almond milk. The only thing is they did not have bagels for the cream cheese. Room was clean.

We stayed one night on our road trip and did not regret it. Very clean, good price, friendly staff, great breakfast, spacious room on the second floor (only negative thing: no elevator, which makes it a little inconvenient with a heavy suitcase- even though the staff immediately offered to help). Would definitely stay again!

First of all, the room was excellent. Good size with a comfortable sofa included. The room was upstairs, with a balcony overlooking the pool and courtyard. Now, I have to say that I think I was fortunate because a lot of the rooms downstairs were off hallways with no balconies or nice view, so it might just be your luck what kind of room you get (depending on how busy the place is). The included breakfast was very good: Eggs cooked to order then bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs etc. in bain maries for self service. Cereal, toast, fruit and juice were also available. The two ladies who were in attendance were very nice and helpful. We booked this hotel for its proximity to the Reagan Library which was a short drive of about a mile and a half up the road.

had to come to the Conejo Valley for a knee replacement surgery. The Posada Royale went the extra mile to make sure that we were given a room that would make this type of stay as comfortable as possible. In addition all of the included meals were above expectation, We will be staying there again when I come back for my left knee to be replaced

From the outside - and all the websites - this BW looks really nice. And it mostly is nice...but there are some glaring features that make this place feel like they didn't build this as a hotel. First, the good stuff. The rooms are big, clean and nicely apportioned for this class. This is neither an economy nor a luxury room and it shows... but there are some nice touches. The beds are comfortable, the pillows are fluffy but not overstuffed. The HVAC can be dialed in perfectly and you're neither hot nor cold. The staff we encountered - especially housekeeping - was pleasant, professional and timely. If those things are important to you, this is a fine place to stay. Here are the misses: this is a two story hotel but there is no elevator. The stairways are these multi-turn mazes that make it nearly impossible to haul luggage quietly (important if you check in late-at-night). Most of the rooms have exterior entrances a la 1977. Weirdly, thought, some rooms open to interior halls... that are set about 4 feet above the exterior balconies. More stairs. Most of the doors pneumatic returns don't function. Open a door and it stays open (bad if it's your room) or it slams shut loudly (bad if you're arriving late at night). The floors and walls are paper thin... not only did we hear people walking (loudly), we heard conversation in the next room clearly enough to know their tourist plans for the next day, showers during the common wake up times (with singing) - and loud "nocturnal" activities that were awkward to explain to the kids. This is clearly a property with some potential (location) but it needs some serious rebuild and revitalization to be in the mainstream.

I'vE stayed here up to four times a year for the past 8 years. While there was a down year when the hotel was being renovated, my overall experience has been very good. It's close to lots of eateries. Overall value is very good.

Stayed for a work related event and met the friendliest staff ever. They were very accommodating of my needs. The interior of the whole hotel seems to be remodeled and well decorated. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or utilize one of the banquet halls.

From comfortable beds to great restaurant and bar, this place is a winner. The staff offered to bring in my bags and made checking in short and sweet. Someone was always around to offer help if we needed. Breakfast had a good selection of foods and great coffee. The restaurant and bar had a good variety to choose from as well. I look forward to staying here again. Relaxing and quiet.

I was going to give the hotel an average 3 rating until we had breakfast. It was great for a hotel breakfast! Our room was clean and comfortable but showing signs of age, wear and tear. The grounds are the same. There was a stuffy odor but it dissipated when we got the air turned on. The staff members we encountered were very pleasant and that helps improve the atmosphere of a place. Some rooms here have exterior doors and some open into a hallway. If that makes a difference to you, just put it in the special request box when you make a reservation. I did and got what I requested. The area of town is pretty good and there is a Costco just down the street about 2 miles as well as a few eateries. The numbering of the hotel rooms is odd and you will likely need their little map from check-in to help you find your room. Once you find it, though, it is not difficult to get around. I did not see elevators either. This hotel seemed a good price for the area and is just down the street from the Reagan Presidential Library.

Overall this hotel well “nice”... it's unfortunate that there was a cockroach in my friend's bed our first night because the rest of the time, even though we didn't see another, we didn't sleep well. They didn't compensate for the night either since we booked through a third party. They gave us 3,000 points for the inconvenience to our Best Western account which apparently is the equivalent to $6. Disappointing, but the front desk clerk was nice enough to move us to a different room. It is upsetting this happened because my review would have been MUCH more positive.

If not for the great breakfast I would have rated this hotel lower. Check-in was a joke. The kid at the front desk would not credit me $100.00 for my Best Western travel card. The manager did. Entering our room I had to straighten all the lamp shades. Then found the beds fitted sheet was to big for the mattress and the mattress pad was to small. We were awakened around 1:00 AM by the neighbors. At 5:00 AM the talking started again. I opened the door to find a guy standing there wearing sunglasses and smoking a cigarette while talking on his phone. I've stayed in over 15 hotels this year. Rude neighbors are my number one reason never to return to a hotel.

We stayed at the hotel to visit the Presidential Library. Very clean, great location, great breakfast and friendly staff. The staff made sure we had a level one room due to a leg injury I had. We will stay again when we visit this area again.

My wife and I have stayed at this property twice, both times for my business travel. Both times we had a very good stay, and were very happy with the property, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The breakfast is very good, and the evening reception, now in the evening bar/lounge (same room where breakfast is served), was a nice feature for hanging out and relaxing after work. The food in the bar/lounge was also good.

This hotel is very close to a major road in the area. It is noisy, two story with no elevator. Guests have to carry their luggage up stairs to get to a second story room. Help with this is available I was told which means tipping someone to help you get your things to your room. The ventilation system blows papers off the desk area. I had to turn it off to sleep.

Lighting was awful and toilet was loose. I have stayed here before and explained I bring my elderly mom who is on a walker and can't walk far. I'm told you can park right outside the room. But both times there has been a lot of walking and uphill at that or steep steps with loose railing.

We stayed here last year in the midst of remodeling. We are former residents of Simi Valley and know the hotel well and understood that things would not be perfect, but expected a decent room. We did not get that. An example: There was a hole in the wall filled with a rag or paper towels. That was just one of the issues. After nearly begging, we received 1/2 of our money back (this is not a cheap motel). So, now the remodel is done. At least there are no signs of continued remodel. We decided to give it another try. What a disappointment. The room was old and had NOT been remodeled. The fiberglass bathtub insert had been painted over and there were chips, scratches and missing paint throughout the tub and walls. All corners of the bathroom had dirt build up. There was caulking all around the ceiling of the shower and it was all cracked. The closet doors had water damage. The refrigerator almost fell out of it's shelving and onto my foot. There were inkmarks on the sheets (we didn't notice this until morning or we would have had staff change them), the blanket was so old and scratchy that the tag was literally threadbare from so many washings (hey, at least they washed them!) The door had about a 1/4 " gap and was filthy. There was some kind of bug guts or something on the blackout curtain. The mirror by the closet had handprints on it. The best part was when we noticed our ice bucket had no liner and still had water in it (from the previous occupants?) and when my husband took it up to the front desk, they kept it and handed him a large trash bag to get ice. Can you imagine? We didn't bother complaining to the staff after that move. The thought of contacting the manager again after the nightmare of trying to get any kind of refund last time is just overwhelming. You are better off staying at a far less expensive hotel. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why this is rated #1 in Simi on TripAdvisor. If you do stay, avoid room 110.

The room was good. I was upgraded to a suite. The view was nice. Breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. I recommend this place. However they do not have an elevator. Keep that in mind.

I love this hotel and the staff is the best part of the stay. The rooms are very clean, spacious, quiet and very comfortable. They have the best breakfast and you can have an omelet prepared anyway you want. I love this hotel!

Don't stay here. Housekeeping will steal your stuff. I caught them in the act of stealing all my unopened sodas and bottled water out of the fridge. It's noisy and smells. There was water damage in several places inside my room. This was not a stay for pleasure, it was a necessity due to the fires in Ca and I was totally gouged on the price of my standard room while a friend of mine also stayed at the same time and paid less money for a much nicer suite for one night. I did not feel safe as a single female staying alone, especially after finding housekekeeping stealing from me. Nearly every night I would find unsavory people loitering in the very dark parking lot. Not a good experience at all. Will never stay or refer clients again.

My original room was on the 2nd floor. When I checked in, I did not go directly to the room but went out to dinner with friends. When I went to the room with a luggage cart full of my stuff, I found out that this hotel does not have an elevator to the 2nd floor anywhere in the hotel (see previous postings). I did get the folks at the front desk to convert my room to a 1st floor room (#101). When I went into the room, I found the following issues with the appearance. 1. Missing a large section of floor tile in the bathroom (see photo). 2. Missing some sort of baseboard between the refrigerator and the area underneath the sink in the living room area (see photo). 3. Missing a telephone in the bedroom area. There was only one telephone and that was in the living room area (see photo). 4. The other issue was that I hung up my bath towels so I could reuse them and housekeeping replaced the bath towel.

We were pleased to find a BW so close to the Regan Library. It was a very comfortable stay-good beds, clean room,easy access to pool and lounge. Well equip ADA room. Friendly and helpful staff in each area of hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for a night but it was enough for us not to come back. We arrived at the hotel around 3:20pm, the front desk lady was not friendly at all. There were not rooms available despite check-in is 3pm. The room itself was okay, the bathroom tile was broken, we had less a half of toilet paper, when I called front desk for a new roll, she told me she didnt have anyone to bring me the toilet paper, I had to come down to get it myself. I have once stayed at BW; however, with this experience, this will be my last. Small things do make a difference. I was very disappointed with the customer service provided. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My stay was comfortable and the room was clean. The shower was hot, stable WiFi, and the decor was new and fresh. I would have given 5 stars, however, there isn't an elevator and you have to climb a couple flights of stairs to get to the second floor. Then, to get to my room, I had to go back down a few stairs. The customer service was mediocre. They made no offer for loyalty perks nor did they mention.

We stayed one night. Our one bedroom suite was spacious, clean and quiet. We also had a small balcony with a table and two chairs. Fitness centre was basic but fine for us. We attended the evening wine function, two glasses of wine plus some corn chips and salsa. Very tasty. Breakfast was great, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes plus you could order an omelette to be delivered to your table. I did and it was very nice. Reception staff were great and I mentioned we were going to the Reagan Library and they had some discount tickets. We bought two and saved some money. They should advertise this to their guests. FYI there are no elevators. Certainly one of the best BW hotels we have stayed in.

It looks very nice from the outside. It has a very nice lobby....but that's where it stops. There are many rooms that exit to the outside. The inside rooms are fine, but there is no elevator -- so if have rolling bags, that won't help you one bit because even in the hallways, there are steps! The "restaurant" felt so creepy. We walked in, but knew we couldn't eat anything, it just didn't feel clean. The fan in the bathroom requires one to wear earplugs. About 3:00 in the morning, something in the walls started vibrating? It woke us up. As the vibration never left, we never went back to sleep. I can't say the minimal staff went out of their way to be friendly or helpful. I would not recommend this property.

There are not many choices in Simi Valley. The Best Western was ok and clean but not great. The beds were very comfortable and it was not a noisy place. The air-conditioning work very well even though it was 90+ degrees out.

I've had mixed experiences at Best Western motels and hotels in the past. So I was pleasantly surprised stay at the great lodging experience I had at the Posada. The staff were all very friendly, professional and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was surprisingly good. I especially enjoyed the made to order omelette. It is about a ten minute ride to the Reagan Presidential Library which is just a few miles away. I enjoyed their pool and hot tub. The only small negatives that I had were that the hot tub was overly chlorinated, the pool towels were very small and that the AC was a too loud. Definitely good value for the money.

I had a 2nd floor room for a few days then they put me on the ground floor..much better due to knee problems..clean rooms, buffet breakfast, and close to many things. Nice parking all around the hotel. Pool on site

We arrived and had a 2nd floor room. My husband and I are elderly. You have to lug your suitcases up the stairs. This is totally unacceptable. No where did we see in the description that there were no elevators

Stayed here for 4 days visiting friends in Simi Valley. This has got to be the "BEST" Best Western I have stayed at. Front Desk, helpful, friendly, anything you needed etc. My room was a delite, clean, comfortable, had no trouble sleeping at all. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, they had it all, Hot & Cold Cereals, Fresh Fruit galore, Homemade fresh yogurt, Waffles, Sausages, Eggs, Omelets, Hash Brown, so many different small pastry items, breads, Juice, Coffee Tea. If you couldn't find something there to eat, you had a problem . There was plenty of food. The pool area is nicely decorated and so is the Hotel. I would definitely stay there again with no problem. It is in a good location and close to many major streets & roads. I give it a big Best Western Plus.....

Enjoyed 2 nights at Best Western Posada. The Breakfast is excellent, real food options with an omelet bar. The hotel and rooms are nicely modernized, even though some finishing a remain original and dated, such as low acoustic ceiling tile in the in-room bathroom area. Our room was spacious, offering a living room section with a separate bedroom. The surrounding area is relatively quiet, poolside rooms could get noisy but was never an issuer during our stay, and the A/C fan in-room units are quiet. I'd stay here again.

Stayed here for a wedding nearby. Was pleased with price and breakfast included. However, upon check-in we informed the front desk one of our ceiling tiles had an obvious wet moldy spot. They said maintenance was gone for the night but would address it in the morning. We were there three nights - it was never fixed/replaced. Housekeeping was unpredictable - didn't replace all the towels, didn't take out all the trash, didn't restock coffee, and the outside pergola table area was left with filthy table cloths from one day to the next. It looks like it was recently remodeled but only partially. Light switches and outlets and such were all really old. And the paint job was incomplete. Also, our reservation was modified after we booked to say we were coming in a day earlier than we were. They didn't charge us for that night, which was good but they could have rented our rooms because it looked like we no-showed. I had a printed confirmation showing the right dates. Lastly, this is a motel not a hotel. Doors open to the outside world. Security is non-existent. Our door frequently wouldn't close without applying pressure.

This Best Western has everything you're going to need for a short trip to Simi Valley. This Motel has spacious rooms, a breakfast bar, and a pool. The extra pillows and a blanket in the room a coffee maker, a microwave, and a mini refrigerator. The front desk is responsive. Motel parking is adequate, there's a restaurant that's right next to the motel. Clean, quiet and I would stay there again.

We arrived late last Friday and although we had requested a first floor room, we were still put on the 2nd floor. Not real convenient when you are carrying four suitcases and there is no elevator. The pool was nice and the hotel does have a free breakfast from 6am to 9am with omelets made to order. It is a decent breakfast and there is always coffee in either the restaurant or the lobby. The rooms are decent and renovated about a year ago. I personally think they could use more counter space in the bathroom and a couple more drawers for guests to keep their clothing. There is a nice closet for things to be hung and plenty of room overall. The TV service does not include any pay per view movies, but it does have two HBO channels and otherwise pretty good selection. The hotel is a good place to stay and the staff is always friendly and ready to help. Oh, and they have cookies at the front desk.

Well just when you want to have complete faith- and away it goes!!!! My room was in disrepair, molding missing, toilet rolls hanging off the holders, bath mat was grows, tub was dirty and someone else's hair in the shower!!!!! Smoke detector hanging down. I thought for sure I was in a Motel 6 to say the least. The grounds where dirty and garbage cans full. Didn't appear that they had any grounds keepers. I suspect they have changed ownership? if not they have simply got complacent since my last visit. The last room I had was very nice up stairs. This time they stuck me in room #124 . The hot cooked breakfast they promise you was COLD!!!! No mercy here. They blew it with me from here on out. NO LONGER WILL I STAY AT OR RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL IN SIMI VALLEY. Couldn't wait to get out of my room.

We stayed at the Best western Posada Royale on the 7th of Aug. we didn't have to wait at all for our Suiet. It was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, and had so much to choose from. would go back.

Stayed 2 nights and we were given the wedding suite when we started saying how we had our reception there 30 years ago. The cook to order omelette bar was delicious and everyone was so kind and seemed happy to work there.

The outside is very nice as is the lobby. The rooms, however, are just ok. Some of the rooms are inside corridors and some are outside. We had an outside room and there was a lot of noise from the parking lot. It was ok. We might stay again but would request an inside room.

I was extremely upset that the hotel pool was closed for deep cleaning while I was there. Why was I not informed of this when booking my hotel or prior to getting to the hotel, or better yet when I checked in? I picked this location mainly because of the hot tub and pool and my stay was ruined by that alone. Also, the pool didn't even look like it was getting deep cleaned. It's almost like they just put the sign up to close the pool for some random reason. Very disappointing. We almost left and went to the hotel down the street. Also, upon walking into our room it had a foul smell of sewer. I thought nothing of it at first however after the second and third time walking it, I realized it wasn't just in my head. How could you rent a room out that smells like that? Shows no respect for your customers. Lastly, breakfast should be open until at least 10am. I'm a late sleeper and had to wake up early just to get breakfast. For someone who just signed up for best western rewards, I'm thinking I'm going to throw it in the garbage because this first impression was horrible.

We encountered many issues with our room. 1. Many times we walked right into the very sharp bed frame. Stubbing toes and shins. 2. Our room door lock was odd as sometimes it worked pulling the handle down other times we had to pull UP. 3. Poor lighting- the light was so poor by the bed we could not read. We really needed more light to make our coffee in the morning. You need a light over by that end of the room. 4. The power flush toilet sounded like a jet taking off. We heard the people's toilets in other rooms flushing at all times of the night - waking us up. 5. The faucet was not designed for that sink- the water went everywhere and there was no place for the soap once you used it. The sink stopper was hidden behind the glass that surrounded the mirror making it hard to use. It would be better to have the fan and the light in the bathroom on separate switches. 6. No elevator. We had to change rooms to the first floor. 7. NO toilet paper in the bathroom when we arrived. These all made for a very poor stay. We are a Gold Crown Members so we have been to many BW's but this was the worst.

Hello! So we were a party of 4 living in the Best Western Hotel in Simi Valley between the dates 25th June till 5th July, while attending a wedding. After the wedding was over, we went ahead on a road trip and were then charged $300 without being informed, under the false accusation of stealing 30 towels from the hotel premises. We made multiple phone calls to the hotel while on the trip, which were ignored (we were left on hold) or we were blatantly told that they were not going to listen to us and the charge was done. After this, we came back to the hotel on 14th July to make our case, and were once again told by the supervisor on the reception, Anna, that she was not interested in our perspective and was not going to reason with us. After this she left the reception counter and went in the room behind the reception. We asked her respectfully to speak to us multiple times but were ignored continuously. We were harassed by this other woman who was sent by the supervisor, who told us to leave immediately or else there would be consequences even though we were not yelling or creating any chaos. It's unfortunate how in a country which takes pride in diversity, tourists are treated this way due to underlying racism and prejudice. It's our right to have proof for any accusations, and the hotel staff should have had the basic courtesy to at least speak to us and hear our side of the story, instead of dealing with guests in such a rude manner. An absolutely disappointing experience with the Best Western hotel.

Rooms are nice but need more storage in the bathroom and main room. Bed is comfy. Breakfast is great. No elevator could be an issue for some. Plenty of places to charge your devices. Nice pool area. Convenient location.

After this she left the reception counter and went in the room behind the reception. We asked her respectfully to speak to us multiple times but were ignored continuously. We were harassed by this other woman who was sent by the supervisor, who told us to leave immediately or else there would be consequences even though we were not yelling or creating any chaos. It's unfortunate how in a country which takes pride in diversity, tourists are treated this way due to underlying racism and prejudice. It's our right to have proof for any accusations, and the hotel staff should have had the basic courtesy to at least speak to us and hear our side of the story, instead of dealing with guests in such a rude manner. An absolutely disappointing experience with the Best Western hotel.

this was just a one night stay. the staff was friendly checkin went smooth and the room was very nice clean comfortable.the pool/hot tub area was very nice with great landscaping.the neaghborhood seemed safe and quite. we had dinner at the chinese buffet next door it was decent and reasonably priced.the breakfast buffet at the hotel was the standard fair.my only small complaint would be that the a/c in our room was a bit loud.i would definitly recomend this hotel.

Typical Best Western. The staff was pleasant, and we were upgraded to a larger room. Unfortunately, we were there during a heat wave (118 when we arrived) and the AC in the room was not on when we arrived. It took a very long time to cool down. We finally left to eat at In N Out while we waited. Our room had an interior entrance and no balcony, unlike most. The exterior is attractive, mission style with a courtyard. The room was clean and comfortable, and appeared to have been updated recently. Due to the heat, the hotel had suspended housekeeping service, but since we were only there for one night it wasn't a problem. We did not take advantage of the complementary breakfast buffet.

We booked this based on the trip advisor reviews when coming to visit the Reagan library. The hotel felt a bit more like a motel (outside cooridors, no elevator). There was nothing specifically wrong (I.e. breakfast was fine, room clean) but it felt a bit old and worn. I will still recommend but just a matter of expectations

Loved staying here. Wished we could have stayed longer. Came here while attending a wedding. The suite was super large. Had a nice balcony overlooking a pretty courtyard. The outdoor pool and hot tub were pristine. Nice hot breakfast. The only downside was no elevator. We are seniors and had to drag our bags up the stairs. But, that would not deter us from staying here again.

The hotel was lovely. I would have requested an upstairs room had I known they had a balcony with a table and chairs. I was told there is no elevator so I requested downstairs. Our only problem was the bathroom. The toilet made a terrible noise when you flushed it, the heat light flickered as it seemed to be going out and the wall paper was peeling and moldy around the shower/tub. On a plus, the breakfast was great with a good selection.

A good location and a clean and comfortable room. Very good service. we had a very good breakfast. There are plenty of items to select from to start your day. It is very close to the Ronald Regan library.

I stayed at this BW for a one day business meeting in Simi Valley. The hotel meet my criteria for a pleasant stay: comfortable bed, working TV and Internet, quiet room, decent breakfast, convenient to highway and travel needs (strip mall shopping and eateries), and fair price (AAA rate, ISTR). Nice landscaping was a small plus, 2 floors w/o elevator was a small minus. Also convenient to the Reagan Library, for those who would like to recall a time of more civil politics, even for a Democrat. I'd stay there again.

Classic Spanish style merges with modern appointments. The hotel is clearly old but feels up to date with its fashionable interiors, fresh paint, and new carpet. The rooms surrounding the inner courtyard and pool may be noisy at times. Inside my room the bathroom needed some work. The bath mat was peeling away from the floor of the bathtub and there was botched paint on the bathroom wall behind the door. But you can tell that efforts were made to make this lovable hotel current again. Overall it was a comfortable and restful room with ample plug ins and space. The breakfast was better than average with their free omelets and a wide selection of breads and drinks. I recommend this place and hope they keep up on the remodel and keep it nice.

We stayed one night after visiting the Ronald Reagan Library. The hotel is in a nice location just down the hill from the library. It's just blocks away from a plaza that has restaurants and grocery stores. I love hotels that offer breakfast inlcuded! This Best Western offered a wide selection of breakfast items including hot eggs and omelets made to order. They had almond milk, which I really appreciated. I saw that they had bagels, toast, pastries, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, hot potatoes, juice and coffee of course. Their coffee was extremely good by the way! The only down side to the stay was the A/C was kind of loud. Other than that, our stay was very nice.

I was billed for 2 rooms instead of 1 Rooms were not cleaned until 4:30 or later, some not at all. Denied use of lobby conversation area to share wine with our friends. Noisy at night from hotel guests or partiers.

I'm a best western member and I keep coming to this hotel at simi valley madera road. Hotel location is perfec and staff are helpful. Room is clean and fully equip. In room cable tv and internet work well. Bfast is good and friendly staff. On this trip I will be there and other best western hotels for 10 nights.

Manager offered upgrade to elite status member upon request. This service is why we continue membership in BW rewards program. Hotel clean, suites are excellent, and breakfast handled beautifully. Express checkout with statement slipped under room door would be nice addition.

This is a very good Best Western. Room was very comfortable. Pillows numerous but very small. I don't like that. Amenities good. Be Aware there is no elevator. At peak seasons, this may need to be arranged ahead of time. I got the impression at check in a problem with stair climbing would be accommodated readily. Service and staff very friendly and helpful. First class experience with them all-around. Excellent breakfast with great variety and quality.

Fit the bill perfectly. We were in Simi Valley to visit the Ronald Reagan Library and this hotel in just 5 minutes away! The check-in staff was terrific in pointing out other areas to visit (as well as the Library) and dining choices. The room was nice and quiet. Our breakfast experience was wonderful.....eggs to order, hot cereal, pastries, b-fast meats, potatoes, waffles, juice, coffee etc. The waite and kitchen staff kept the dining room and 'buffet' spotless. We'll stay there again as it was such a pleasant experience.

The staff was very nice; however the grounds and room we stayed in were in poor condition. The room had been recently renovated but the quality of the work was terrible. The paint on the tub/shower liner was peeling, crumbling drywall had just been painted over, plaint splatters and smears were everywhere. On the grounds the stair railings were rusted, stairs cracked, dying landscape.

I usually book reservations at Marriott or Hilton hotels, but decided to give the Best Western a try based on images and ratings. I am so happy with my decision that I plan on booking Best Western hotels for my upcoming travels. The staff was friendly, helpful and highly professional. The rooms are well appointed, clean and the bed is very comfortable. My room included a balcony with seating overlooking the pool and courtyard which was a pleasant addition. To my surprise, breakfast included a wide range of items, including made to order omelets. I highly recommend this establishment.

Stayed two nights. Rooms are pretty good sized. Breakfast was good. Nice location close to Reagan library. There is a Walmart a few blocks away close to the freeway. A few negatives. Construction workers stay here so on the night we wanted to use the hot tub it have five guys drinking beer in the tub. Not somewhere you want to take the wife and kids. This is a nonsmoking hotel which just had the smokers going out to the corners of the building and sitting on the step and smoking of course we had a corner room. I would suggest getting a room near the front of the building since all the construction workers stay near the back. It is a nice hotel just a few negatives

A very nice motel with a very good recent remodeling. Best location for going to the Reagan Library down the road. It is an older facility with no apparent elevator. We were surprised by a lack of water in the shower one morning; contacted the night manager and had no assistance, only a blank look and a long pause. Otherwise, staff were fine. Nice covered patio with lights. Evening wine, snacks are not included, but sold. Breakfast was excellent with custom omelets and good food.

this is a very nice hotel convient to ronald reagn library. Excellent free breakfast with a wide rarnge of choices and a omelet bar. Few choices for hotels in simi valley and this is probably the best price. I have stayed at this hotel on 4-5 occasions and my request for a quiet room has always been provided. I just wish all hotel/motels could provide some variety in pillows(soft/stiff).

Only about 30 minutes from six flags magic mountain, this is an easy off the freeway, quiet property that was perfect for our stay. Simi Valley also had the Reagan library. We also loved the hot tub and pool.

Hacienda style hotel in Simi Valley. Hotel has been updated and now is a great place to stay. Front desk staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. Had cocktails and appetizers in the hotel bar lounge- everything thing was excellent. The bar lounge is only open on weekdays which was the only downside. The breakfast Buffet was also excellent with made to order eggs and omelettes. The room was clean and very quiet. Bathroom was small with not very much counter space but other than that the room was great. We did have a king suite and it was very nice to have a separate bedroom- the price for the suite was less than other regular king rooms in the area. Hotel is close to restaurants and shopping areas.

The front desk people were excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Followed up on our issue with the heating system. This hotel is very close to the Ronald Regan Library which is why we chose it. It is undergoing some renovations. It has a full bar and restaurant in the hotel. After standing and walking for 3 or 4 hours it was nice to not have to get in the car and find dinner. Dinner was excellent. I ordered salmon and it was a HUGE piece of fish, done to my exact wishes. The veggies might have been a little under cooked for some, but I like my veggies crunchy. Really a surprise for a hotel restaurant. I have two concerns about this hotel. One: the bathtub, while huge, has a step up and then step down into the tub. There were no grab bars on the walls and I felt it would be very easy to fall in this set up. Please, add grab bars or get a regular tub. My second issue with our stay was the very loud heating system. I would suggest staying here when you do not need heat, air conditioning or sleep! I hope with the renovations they will be fixing the heating system. At first, we had no heat, but the maintenance people fixed that immediately. All and all I would recommend staying here - except for the heating system. I would stay here again, but not when heat is needed.

First the hotel staff was great. Very friendly and helpful and they have an amazing breakfast. The downside was no elevator which is a pain taking up and down your luggage. Also very dark parking lot. We had a room towards the back of the hotel and it was a little scary at night. They had a couple of trucks with campers on them that appeared to have people living it them. Didn't make you feel very safe. I had to call the front desk for a new coffee maker, the one on the room had pink mold when I went to add the water. The A/C unit was noise.

This hotel is very conveniently located for access to both Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks. The rooms are clean, the staff friendly, and the hot breakfasts excellent! Look forward to staying here again. Only downsides are lack of an elevator and no room safe.

We love the property and the fresh-made omlettes and the welcoming and attentive staff. Beware of the new sharp corner box base that protrudes out from the mattress. We scraped our lower legs and almost gouged our feet in the small space under the sharp corners. Not enough counter space in the room.

Excellent staff servicing Best Western Posada Royale Hotel in Simi Valley. Outside is maintained well and the room we had was spacious, clean, heating/AC and all appliances working properly, queen beds were very comfortable. I'll probably stay at the Posada Royale when I visit my family again.

There are very few hotels in Simi Valley, which is strange. We were there on family emergency for a number of days. The staff was professional, caring, accomodating and cheerful. This hotel is updated, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic, cooked to order eggs and a great breakfast bar in a lovely room. It's so much better than the breakfast bars where you push the button for two pancakes!!! We had two rooms, a two queen and a king suite with jacuzzi. The spa tub was fantastic and the shower WAS THE BEST EVER! The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. No elevators, but only two floors. The property is landscaped well and has a beautiful courtyard, pool area. I slept and ate well, felt safe and had a nice stay. We will be back for sure.

There were quite a bit of things I noticed that I was impressed by. The rates were very fair. The appearance and parking space are quite favorable. I really liked the fact that there was a delicious buffet right next door. I appreciated the fact that they had a fitness center with those 50 lbs dumbbells. Breakfast was delicious. Room was nice and clean.Customer services was A+++

We stay at this hotel whenever we visit Simi Valley and it has always been reliably pleasant. They provide a good breakfast and the staff is hard working and friendly. Rooms are comfortable, though they could use a bit of a facelift. We always enjoy staying here.

A great hotel with great staff. As soon as I enter the hotel, staff was friendly and courteous. I guess room were recently renovated because they looked awesome. Breakfast was included and staff was helpful to accommodate 9 adults and four toddlers. On check out, staff was friendly as well. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

The air conditioning system was so noisy at night that we had to transfer rooms. Even the room they sent us to had noisy air conditioning ventilation process. And someone was slamming doors between one and four in the morning. Never slept a wink !!!!

The Best Western Posada Royale Hotel was efficient at booking and offered a fair corporate rate. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean. The included breakfast was superb. The hotel hosted many of the corporate guests for a company I used to run nearby. They also did a fine job hosting us on various occasions for business meetings.

We stayed here while visitong family. Conveniently located the proprty had comfortable rooms and great staff. The bed was a little hard for my tastes but not so much that I lost sleep. The sofa in the room was a nice bonus.

We had a celebration of life for our dad we had many family members attend the facility was clean rooms were nice front counter seemed confused on how to solve a credit card problem host bar did not post pricing and were charging different prices for same drink overall an ok stay

We are looking forward to our next stay at this location.

We stayed here on our way to go see Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. They gave us a handicapped room and room itself was nice but bathroom the shower head was really low which made it difficult for two tall guys. Nice rooms. Very basic. Also it included free complimentary breakfast which the girl told me when we checked in and put coupons in envelope. I didn't think about looking at them. They only serve till 9am. We got there at 9:20 we were taking our time since we can't see Library till 10. So we told the front desk and she said we always tell the guest at check in. I understand people make mistakes but she didn't even act sorry or they could have not told us. (“We always tell everyone”). But I informed her that the girl from the night before never said anything and I didn't take coupons out of envelope to look. I have never stayed anywhere they stop serving before 10 You can go to a fast food restaurant till 10-11 and get breakfast. Also there was so pounding all night so rooms don't seem to be very insulated. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't stay here again So make sure you check double heck and ask lots of questions you can't expect the staff to give you all the answers you need.

The water was turned off for hours without any notice. Toilet, sink, shower, nothing. Tv remote doesn't have a guide or anything, makes it a little hard to find channels. Internet is ok and the breakfast isn't bad but limited

We selected this location due to its proximity to the Ronald Reagan Library. The hotel is lovely inside and out, and extremely clean. They serve a great wine (several selections) and cheese reception in the evening, as well as a nice breakfast with an omelette station. Terrific value and extremely professional and friendly staff.

We stayed several nights and it was clean and quiet. No problem sleeping. It was pretty full the whole stay but not a party place. The breakfast is OK, we only used it once. Reasonable priced lodging for the area, and it's a good location, near 118 freeway but no traffic noise at night.

We have not been to a Best Western for quite some time. We opted for this one because of reviews and it is about three miles to the Reagan Library which was the purpose of our visit to see the Titanic exhibit before it closes in January. My husband liked the hotel and it was quite large. We were able to get a floor-level room which we wanted and it faced the inner courtyard with pool which was pleasant and quiet. The bathroom is quite compact, but there is a stand outside across from the closet that has a coffee pot that we put our toiletries on which was convenient. The breakfast was one of the nicest complimentary ones that we have seen in a hotel. I enjoyed the egg white omelette with ham and cheese that was cooked and brought to our table and appreciate the watermelon slices included in fruit choices. There were several staff members to handle the breakfast area. Internet was fast for work. The lamp at the table plug did not work so I had to replug it into another plug on another wall (it just stretched to reach and was still out of the way); I told the front desk but the next day housekeeping had plugged it back into the plug that did not work so I had to crawl under the desk to string it across the carpet to the other plug again :-) The beds do have sharp corners and I caught my leg on one even though I was aware this could be a hazard. When we were leaving I realized the TV channel guide was in the bedside drawer so future guests reading this review know where to find it! One evening I went to the front lobby where they have wine, cheese/crackers/grapes which was a nice snack to relax for guests.

Very professional staff on hand. Rooms were renovated and very comfortable. Extremely good service.When problems with a leaky faucet were reported they were handled immediately. The staff were very helpful with questions and greeted us warmly.

Stayed there after 3 nights in a Best Western that did not deserve the "Plus" designation. We have stayed here before which was a good experience, but they remodeled and it is now outstanding. Our room was upgraded due to our membership and it was a delight spending 2 nights there. Hope we can arrange trips to include this property!

The Best Western Posada Royale is a decent choice for the area. It is typical of the motel arrangement with a pool and hot tub in the central courtyard. It is located not far off the freeway with a variety of restaurants nearby if you have a vehicle. It is only a few miles from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library if you are planning to visit. The breakfast is nice, with made to order omelets, and the staff are very helpful.

This the best hotel I've ever stayed in. From check in to check out was nothing but enjoyable. The renovation made the hotel transform to another level. The room was very spacious and business friendly. Love the LED mirror in the bathroom.The staff was more than helpful and made my stay that much more enjoyable. The delicious free breakfast and omelette made-to-order made me full for all day. Also loved the wine reception! The moment I drove into the the hotel it made me feel at home. This hotel is home away and will be returned!

This hotel is the stay of choice when visiting the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. It's location is perfect for a visit and I enjoy the 3 mile hike from the hotel to the library when I choose to wake up early to do so. It has a variety of eating options nearby. I also enjoy their omelette breakfast bar in the morning. A refreshing change from the usual continental breakfast offered at other establishments.

Booked this through Hotwire being a Best Western all good. It was not until we got settled for the night for sleep that the noise level came. We were located on the bottom floor, which was fine as I have bad knees and we had lots of luggage. People walking around above us was thump, thump, and when they used the toilet it was extremely noisy. So was their shower. We woke early due to all of the above issues with noise and when we went to have a shower we could not get the water to stop pouring out of the Fawcett and only a light spray frim the shower head. The bed was comfortable although the bed base sticks out so your line of sight is where the mattress is, I bumped my leg very hard and managed to do it again on the other side, the photo's attached will show what I mean! I went to the front desk to see if we could get a partial refund, the Manager on duty Anna was coughing, I stood back and gestured thst she should cover her mouth. I showed her a video I took of the shower she saud you didn't turn it on properly, I said I did and knew how we have been traveling for 8 weeks so have plenty of experience. She said we should have asked to change rooms, well how were we to know that the shower was not going to work the night before. A few other repairs need to be done on this room. The breakfast was very good. But sleep quality was af it worst. Power point is just about unexcessable in the bathroom.

Great hotel, excellent friendly staff, big nice room. We enjoyed our staff very much. Our stay included two nights and we were able to enjoy an evening with wine and cheese. We also had two very nice breakfasts. We went to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and really looked forward to coming back to our room after a very exhausting day. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this hotel to everyone.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms clean and very modern looking.The staff is incredible and go out of their way to accommodate every guest. Breakfast is made to order omlets,scrambled eggs, waffles,pastries,cereals and yogurts. There is a wine and cheese hour that is complimentary. A microwave and refrigerator in all the rooms. Oh,and very pet friendly! For 20 more than Motel 6,why would you go anywhere else?

We stayed here in October when we went on vacation to the LA area. We picked this hotel, even though it was an hour to most of the attractions, because of the price. We hit the jackpot. It is a gem. Free parking, free breakfast, the rooms are huge and recently remodeled, no issues with the internet - four of us on different devices at one time. Plenty of places to eat within a five minute ride, and easy access to the freeway. We will be back if we visit LA again!

We stayed here two nights while in town to visit the Ronald Reagan Museum and the hotel was great! Extremely comfortable beds, well maintained rooms and great breakfast each morning which was included in price of hotel. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

We were on a 12-night road trip from Vancouver, Canada to San Diego, CA and we stayed in several hotels and this hotel is by far the BEST one. The room and bathroom were spotless clean, the room was huge with 2 queen beds. The hot breakfast was the best with made-to-order eggs, sausages, hash browns.... and the whole nine yards! The hot tub was certainly a plus... it was a great relaxation after 7 or 8 hours of driving... First class management and staff! I would highly recommend anyone to go there. Thank you to The Best Western Posada Royale.

Excellent morning breakfast. The hotel had a wine and cheese welcome the evening I was staying. Comfortable room with a convenient work center. The hotel grounds were were very beautifully maintained. The staff did an excellent job during my stay.

We had an outside room #270 (not in a corridor), and the A/C was so very loud....too loud to leave on, so used the *auto* setting and it came on about once an hour, which woke us up each time. Needless to say, we did not get a good nights rest. The do not have fans to borrow. The hotel is fairly nice, newer furnishings, but you can tell it is an older room. The breakfast was very good, omelettes to order was very nice. Location is very close to the Ronald Reagan Library. I would check the room and the AC before staying there. Don't know if it is just this hotel with older AC units, or all Best Westerns are that way. This is our first time staying at this chain in many years.

We stayed here when we were in town for a sports tournament. It is clean and sufficient -- hence the 3 star (average) review. It is pretty much what you would expect for a Best Western. The pool is very small. The free breakfast is fine considering it is free.

Up to date decor and furnishings with spacious room and balcony overlooking garden and pool area. Complimentary wine and snacks early evening. Breakfast was very good. Good selection of items both hot and cold and custom-made omelettes also available at no extra charge. They do close on time so if on vacation you need to make sure you don't miss out. Pool area was very nice as set in gardens and pool was an acceptable temperature. Chinese Buffet restaurant next door where we ate in the evening, which was good value and reasonable quality of food. Did not see much else close by.

Room252 was very large with a completely private balcony over looking Simi Vlly. Very Nice. Also had full size refrigerator. Good light through slider dr. and big windows. Staff all nice and helpful. Flooring was both carpet and tile. From Idaho so I enjoyed the various green shrubbery and palm trees seen from the windows and balcony.

I can see why they are rated as #! hotel in Simi Valley . . . service was awesome starting with check-in . . . very quick and efficient. Rooms good size, very clean and GREAT beds. Finished off with an excellent breakfast. High recommend this facility to any one passing through Simi Valley. Was very surprised with the price . . . we have spent more than twice the cost and received less than half the value that we received from BW . . . kudos to hotel stall . . . you got it goin on!

Quality customer service, clean rooms and a better breakfast than you can get at many restaurants even though there is no charge with your stay at Best Western. My only complaint was that I had to retype the hotel password every time I used the internet on my IPAD, but that is such a minor thing compared to the overall comfort and quality of our stay.

Perfectly located in a secure and well lit location of Madera within 2 miles of the Reagan Library and offers a full breakfast including a Monday thru Thursday FREE WINE AND CHEESE. It's THE place to stay located close and convenient to a variety of offerings

I am a return customer and have stayed various Best Western or Best Western Plus for the past two years whenever I traveled because I am a rewards club member and doing so comes with rewards. Posada Royale has the best staffs and services. It is conveniently located. The hot breakfast buffet are freshly prepared and the dining tables are draped with pressed clean clothes. Even better, it has designated staff makes fresh omelet on request. All the staffs are friendly and helpful. Specifically, one young man, Kyle, went out his way to help me fix a frozen monitor screen in the business center. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here whenever I visit Simi Valley or nearby cities.

The rooms were very nicely decorated, comfortable,secure and fairly priced. Excellent Front Desk ! Excellent choices for food within a reasonable distance from the hotel. I highly recommend Posada Royale for Business or Personal trips.

A nice place to stay. Great breakfasts beds and location. There are no elevators to the second floor. Although the staff offered to carry the luggage up, the stairs were difficult for an older person who prefers to stay on the second floor.

I have stayed here a few times before, over the years, and the product has been consistent for the most part. I enjoy this place as it is relaxing, comfortable, cozy and never feels overcrowded. And, has a nice breakfast available. The location is great and has easy access to a variety of places to drive. Looking forward to coming back again....

I don't want people to know how nice this hotel is, so it is always available when i need a room. If I'm working within an hour of this hotel i will drive to stay there. There is everything you need close to hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and were very pleased with the room and the cleanliness of the grounds. The service here was great and all of the staff we encountered were very helpful and cheerful. I liked that it was very quiet at night, there were no slamming doors or loud voices, thanks to the 10pm-7am quiet time.

Great value when staying in Simi Valley during the course of the week, weekend rates are quite a bit more expensive. Newly remodeled rooms are very nice, one of the best internet connections that I've had out of many Best Westerns. The hotel staff is top notch. Highly recommend.

Excellent service friendly staff the free wine in the lobby nightly was nice, continuous maid service excellent, free breakfast was a good selection, available laundry was a nice perk. I recommend this hotel to anyone needing a long term stay as well.

Excellent Property...except for the lack of an elevator to the 2nd Floor. Hotel Staff helped with the heavy bags but if that one gentleman was not available we'd have to carry those bags ourselves...and I ain't as young as I used to be.

Great staff. Comfortable beds. Clean. Good breakfast. Only two levels and there is no elevator so if you have heavy luggage or lots of luggage first floor is best. Quiet. Our cooling unit in window did not work. They were able to provide same room across hall that had different cooling system more like central air which worked great.

Very good place to stay in Simi Valley. The breakfast is better than other Best Western's. There are all type of restaurants close by. One minor thing needs to improve is the pillows, they are too small. They are about half size of the king size pillow and I stayed in a king size room.

I stayed here before and al was fine and that's why I returned. This time the manager was Not great with issue I had but rest if staff was great. Room was very clean and I returned each evening to a cleaned room. Breakfast was good, and better than most hotels but not the help in there. They've changed hands apparently the past year... perhaps not for the better. Get a new manager!

Rooms where decorated nicely but showers dripped and were worn the doors and jams and walls were messed up. Presentation was good but when you looked at the details they were not fixed. Curtains had holes also.

The entire staff was very courteous and helpful, had a wonderful time. The accommodations were good, no complaints. The hotel was close to the Reagan Presidential Library which was a great destination.

This hotel is well kept and clean, in a very nice area, and easy to find. It is especially convenient to the Reagan Presidential Museum. It has an exceptional breakfast and breakfast room is very spacious. The only possible drawback is no elevator to the second floor if you have mobility issues.

For a last minute stay for a baseball tournament this place was perfect! The room was clean and spacious for the 3 of us. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We did not have time to use the pool or take part in breakfast but it looked good.

An OK budget class of hotel. This was more like a motel rather than a hotel given the construction, design and layout. There are no elevators here...so please bear that in mind. People out on the landings talking at 3am and outside noise travels as you know. The AC unit was noisy too. That aside..we had a one stay on a 2nd floor room that was pretty spacious, It was pretty clean and tidy with large comfortable beds providing a decent nights sleep (& I am quite particular about those things in all hotels) The breakfast that was included was typically standard, although there was plenty choice of hot and cold food on offer. It was pretty good. Ample free parking. Reagan Library Museum was a 5/10 min drive away...I am not really one for a Libraries and Museums BUT that place place is amazing! Spent 3 hours in there for a $29 entry fee. Overall, it was OK for the money. Not sure if I would stay again.

Unfortunately we only stayed one night in this beautiful hotel. The breakfast they serve is probably the best of any hotel we have ever stayed in and we've stayed in many. The room was bright and beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in the area!

Just a cheap business hotel along the way. Room was so so, towels smelled funky, sheets had stains, shower was nasty. Literally stayed here 2 nights. First night was much better, then the 2nd night I had to get a different room, which was much worse. Overall the rooms are not the same level of cleanliness thats for sure.

Rooms and staff very friendly and helpful. Requested late checkout with no problems. Breakfast was great and good selection of food. Close to the library, restaurants and freeway. Cant' think of anything else to say.

Hotel was super clean and quiet. In the middle of all things you would need and easy to find and get to! The food was very good and the staff was super friendly and easy going. I appreciate the early check in since my flight got there earlier than expected. The room was clean, quiet and super relaxing!!!

Close to everything; breakfast is superb. Jacuzzi and pool. Ronald Reagan Library right next door. Great if you have children. Clean (1st priority) A/c's a little noisy but working well. Great medium-priced place to stay.

We were there for a family wedding and stayed 3 nights, The hotel was conveniently located, offered free parking and a wonderful included hot breakfast. Having been completely renovated, I was disappointed with the room as it was sloppily done. Paint on the curtains, missing drywall under the sink, glazing coming off the tub surround. The pool area was wonderful and all staff were very pleasant and helpful. On the last day of our stay the man who prepares the omelets outside the dining room had his tip jar stolen! Someone ran through the courtyard from the parking lot and snatched it off the counter. PLEASE change this jar to something that can be attached to the counter top. This man worked so hard and it was sad to see this happen.

Large modern rooms, great breakfast included in the price of the room, huge selection of tv channels, decent size pool and easy access to most places in Simi Valley. The only let down was housekeeping staff who come to service the room at 8.30/9am or not at all. Not ideal if you are a late riser or staying a few nights and need fresh towels/toilet paper.

I have stayed at the Posada dozens of times over the years. The new rooms and overall hotel renovation is fantastic. Its a quiet hotel close to the Reagan Presidential Library.Great breakfast, also. The wine and cheese in the evening is also nice.

Staff were very helpful and attentive.. room was very nice and clean location of hotel close to area attractions ..hotel itself very nice outside by pool with patio etc and places to take pictures very pretty flowers

Accommodations were very clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. They don't have a snack bar, only a snack vending machine but there's a Target very close by for bottled waters and snacks, as most rooms have a microwave and refrigerator.

A very welcoming hotel. Entire facility clean. Thoughtful rest benches scattered thrroughout the grounds. Very nice central courtyard, with outdoor dining for the breakfast room. All upstairs rooms have a real balcony. Real means room for a couple of chairs, and a teble. Rooms very nice. There is some thoughtful design work here, they are not the usual hotel box room. Built in work area, with easily reachable electric outlets that are not already full of plugs, and are not behind furniture. Overhead (high in the wall) skylight that was a nice touch, and appreciated. Room was quiet, and away from freeways, but easy to find and reach. Showers have the wide rods, meaning more room in the shower. Two large screen TV's that both worked fine, as did their remotes. (Seems like often one doesn't in other hotels) Breakfast was good, and well staffed. I think they had two cooks, for a buffet style breakfast. Lots of food choices. Enough toasters. Only one suggestion here, they should have, I think, a couple of real coffee makers on the table. They use a pot that cools to quickly. A minor issue.

Our overall stay for 6 nights was good. Beds are a little small but the pool area made up for it. The continental breakfast was good. Overall we would stay here again. There was a wedding rehearsal dinner one night and the family was next to us and were very loud till 1:30, and another night the room next door had a dog and it barked really early in the morning and woke us all up other than that is was a good value for Simi Valley.

I wish I could remember the manager who helped us she was awesome !! It was a clean hotel with friendly service brakfast was great they really went above & beyond for my family thank you for the great service

Really good hotel affordable and was great situated on the west side of la near most of the attractions we wanted to visit stayed 6 nights . Would of gave 5 stars however we were short of towels everyday only given enough for 2 guests when there were 3 of us and the room key cards kept deactivating

The Simi Valley Best Western was an excellent travel experience. The staff, rooms, and breakfast were all way above what we have come to expect from lesser establishments. We definitely recommend Best Western to everyone.

Very surprised at how lovely this hotel was. One of the best Best Western's we have stayed at. The lobby was lovely, the pool area was clean and well attended. The breakfast was terrific and the tables were set up with linens around the pool which made it especially nice. The breakfast bar had a nice selection and an omelet bar was set up outside near the pool as well. Our rooms were very very nice as well. We would definitely come back as our children live in the area.

I just want to say that the staff went above & beyond I can't remember the managers name but she was amazing helped us out so much when we arrived till the end of our stay hotel is clean & staff is very friendly again thank you so much for what you did God bless you all

This Best Western is a great hotel. The breakfast was wonderful with awesome attention from the servers. The staff was very helpful. The pool was nice with towels. The room was big enough for 4 of us and clean. Would definitely stay again!

Hotel was just what we needed for the week with my son. The staff took exceptional care of everything we needed. The hotel was in a good location. All the facilities were clean and well kept. The breakfast had a good variety of foods and was more than adequate for our needs.

It is always concerning when you book a hotel through a 3rd party travel site and don't know exactly what area of town you should avoid what the hotel you get will be like and thus, even when I knew what hotel it was and had read some of the reviews on other site (mostly positive), I was still weary of the neighborhood. However, once we arrived as a family, I was relieved to see that the neighborhood was quiet and nicer. Walking in you are greeted by an upscale looking lobby and friendly staff. The hotel appeared to have been recently renovated and updated in many areas. Though the room I had was nothing special (it was a little dated in the a/c unit and carpet), it meet my needs for an inexpensive place to stay for the night that was clean and comfortable. The beds were a little hard and the pillows a little soft for my liking, but the family and I slept well. The room looked like the housekeepers had actually cleaned it as opposed to the alternative. The breakfast is a simple continental breakfast, but serves the purpose. Certainly would recommend staying here!

Just so-so for two nights in Simi Valley. We stayed with family on a trip to visit the Reagan Library. (The hotel is close to the Reagan Library.) Electronic key door opener didn't work properly.This hotel is advertising remodeled rooms. Hmmm? Our room had a quick remodel....not quality work. Patched/unpainted holes on the wall, bathroom ceiling paint flaking off, terrible tile work on the bathroom floor. Kids enjoyed the pool area. The hotel was quiet. No elevator for second floor guests!

Hotel was nice and clean,i would recommend and will be booking my rooms here everytime i head down to socal.Perfect location and atleast 45 mins away from most of the places i visit except disneyland and knotts berry farm!

We were in town for a kids' baseball tournament and it was a great place to stay... from the expansive breakfast (I thought it would only be continental) to the swimming pool and the really nice staff, it was an excellent experience.

Obnoxious guests at pool until 10pm, few towels for room, shoddy remodel. Breakfast decent. Doors wouldn't open without a shove. Not family friendly...felt completely unsafe at this property. BYO hair dryer.

Went to Calif for a quick trip for daughter Birthday.... I wish all the hotels we stayed in were like this one!! Clean, nice room and beds , good guest service and a really nice breakfast Buffet , plenty of parking, pool and hot tub... wow is all I can say

Nice, clean and very close to our event. Would have loved to use the pool but there was a lil league tournament, pool was over crowed kid, was unable to use pool. Wish there was a separate lil closed but overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I Would most highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the northern LA corridor. Close to Reagan library but would go out of my way to stay here if I'm in the area again. Staff, breakfast and grounds were top notch and could not have been more pleased.

Stayed here on a stopover. Nice Spanish style reception but the rooms are all motel style. Looks like the rooms have been recently being refurbished and I can understand why there have been a few reviews saying that the bed bases are causing a few stubbed toes. Nice quiet area. Decent size pool. Free breakfast and parking. Nice

Hotel is been upgrade, basically paint, furniture, bathroom vanity and carpets. Everything else is old old. Hotel staff are friendly but service is the last priority. It is Best western but generally costs more than usual best westerns. Morning breakfast is nice, house keeping try best to keep the place clean. Ample parking and within 2 miles you have Costco, Walmart and lot eateries besides chines buffet place next to hotel.

Hotel is comfortable and a good value for the price. The breakfast is very good. Air conditioner is too loud and the pool closes at 10pm (too early for the weekends especially). The toilet paper holder in our room was broken.

Customers are NOT a priority at this establishment! I booked this reservation because there was free cancellation available. After booking, I found out through reading the reviews that there was no elevator in the hotel. Since My party included someone with mobility issues, this was a huge concern. I contacted the hotel immediately and they were able to accommodate a ground level room. However, it gave me a bad impression that they did not disclose that to their customers. While I was checking in, there was a family looking frantically for the elevator. I heard their distress and am certain the front desk clerk helping me also heard it, but completely ignored them. Finally they asked the clerk directly. When he advised there was no elevator, they made a comment about the hotel not being up to safety code. The clerk's response was that they should have booked a room on the ground floor. One more thing that showed me they did not value customer service. The room itself was large, clean and very sparsely furnished, and smelled very musty. We stayed a total of 2 nights. On the 1st night, I noticed they charged me $20 more than my arranged price from booking.com. When I called the front desk, they directed me to contact booking. I did, and the rep had to call the hotel about the charge. He found out that the hotel charges a $20 refundable deposit in case of damages. Why the front desk clerk couldn't tell me that in the first place is beyond me. The next morning was check out. When I went to take a shower, I realized housekeeping left no bath mat or wash clothes and only 1 hand towel. I called the front desk who apologized and promised to send them right over. 1 & 1/2 hours later I checked out without receiving my towels. Next time I am in the area I will not being staying at this hotel. I will not pay money to an establishment that does not care about a guest's basic needs!!!

They had Sportsnet LA. Always nice to be able to watch The Dodger game when you are away from home. Very clean and comfortable room, very good complimentary breakfast, complimentary wine and cheese in the evening.

We had a room on the second level on the back side. It was very quiet comfortable. Nice loveseat and ottoman, and a comfortable desk. Very helpful staff arranged an extra night when my husband fell ill. Complimentary breakfast is fantastic with made to order omelettes and fried eggs, and all other offerings very fresh. Staff monitored the dining room constantly to refresh items and clear tables quickly. Only 3 miles from the Reagan Library.

A nice and comfortable place to stay. I will staying here during my business association with a client nearby. The professional staff from the time of check in and check out and all in between was what I expect when I travel on business or quality time. Cheers!

Loved this place. Very clean, great location, friendly staff and warm cookies, wine and cheese waiting for us in the lobby on arrival. Only a short drive to the Reagan Library! By far the best hotel we stayed in our trip through Arizona,California and Oregon. A must stop on our next trip to the area.

This was our first visit to Simi Valley and almost drove past the hotel except that I noticed the new logo, "BW." The hotel building was not the typical look for at Best Western. There is Spanish architecture look on the outside and plenty of parking. There are plenty of eateries to choose from nearby. The only negatives are that the bed was too very hard; it felt more like sleeping on a box spring. I scratched my shin a couple of times due to the sharp squared edges on the beds. The edges need to have some rounded rubber or plastic "band-aids" to prevent the bumping!

I have stayed at this hotel and no matter when I have stayed, I have always been accommodated, treated very well, and had the friendliest, yet professional staff assist me. I highly recommend it for anyone traveling for business or pleasure.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. Not sure when, but it was nice to stay in a newly remodeled room. It still had some minor issue - the shower valve leaked and would not turn off. The front lobby staff are very friendly I will give them that. BUT!!! WHY WOULD THEY NOT TELL YOU that a huge LOUD WEDDING PARTY was going to take place up to 10:00 pm with VERY LOUD DJ music and dancing outside in the pool courtyard blasting guest in the pool / spa and rooms. WTF????? I could barely hear the music thumping and thumping all the way to the back of the hotel Rm #230 but it quit right at 10:00 pm I think someone pulled the plug literally. My room was nice and clean :-) and nice linens. They also matched a better room rate I had further down the road in Simi for a second nights stay Thank you "ANA" They did discount my second nights stay a bit for the inconvenience of having to celebrate a wedding party when your not really invited. Also have nice docking stations for electronic devises buy your bed

This is a nice hotel to stay if you staying overnight in Simi Valley. It has a nice breakfast with a wide section of items of both hot and cold selections. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. You do not hear your neighbors or the noise from outside.

Everything was fine except furniture has extra sharp edges and we have bruises and I have a cut on my leg from the bed frame. We are both in our 70's so balance issues are a problem sometimes, especially during the night when we have to get up. This room was a hazard for that reason. Otherwise we were ok with our stay.

very clean, staff was great, breakfast was great. lots of shopping options within walking distance. Great location. convenient for those who travel and don't have transportation. I recommend this hotel highly.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise when we arrived. Check-in was excellent and the rooms were very good. All aspects of the hotel were clean and the included breakfast was one of the best we have encountered. The one draw back was the location but it was not that much out of the way I would not let that be a problem in staying there again.

Great place to stay after visiting Reagan Library because it's just down the street. Appeared to be newly redecorated and painted, our room was very comfortable, especially the bed!. Breakfast was very well done with hot cooked items: scrambled eggs, sausage patties, potatoes and French toast sticks. Regular hotel continental breakfast items were also included. My husband's laptop would not connect to the wifi internet, but mine did (as well as my phone) - not sure why that was. Room included a small refrigerator and microwave, however the frig did not have a freezer which we needed. My husband is diabetic and his insulin needs to be kept cold while traveling so we had nowhere to refreeze our 4 small icepacks. I checked with the front desk and after checking with several other staff, a kitchen employee (dressed like a chef) agreed to put them in the kitchen freezer. He would not be working in the morning so front desk employee said he would write a note for morning staff. In the morning when we went to retrieve them, no one had a clue. Again, one of the kitchen staff managed to find them in the freezer after asking several people. You might want to consider this type of benefit for guests with medical needs requiring a freezer. Side note: I did not check with the facility ahead of time regarding freezer space nor did I ask about in the special requests box when I made the reservation because we've never had this problem before, but all worked out in the end.

Hotel was ok, looks like the room was renovated, but had a bad renovation, poor workmanship in the small details, the toilet would run if you didn't jiggle the handle, low water pressure from the sink, overall it was ok, I have been to other hotels and was able to say wow this is nice, didn't get that feeling here.

Great location, friendly staff, but the cleanliness of the rooms is very poor. We had mold in showers and stale smoke smell throughout the room. The main light went out in the room on the last day and we had people running above us late at night.

After visiting the nearby Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum snd Library we stayed at the Best Western Posada Royal. One of the nicest Best Westerns we have stayed in. Suites are updated and nicely appointed. Hot breakfast was a pleasant surprise and included poolside dining.

I had a really good overnight stay here after flying from London to LAX. The hotel itself is simple and quiet, rooms are a very good size and very clean. The breakfast was a much better standard that normal hotel buffet breakfasts and set in a bright open room overlooking a courtyard. The price I paid was very reasonable and perfect for staying slightly north of LA as we were then heading to Yosemite. If you are looking for something around the Simi Valley area, definitely try this one!

We have stayed at this hotel twice and the property is very pretty. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the bedding is extremely nice and the bed itself is very comfortable. Everything was spotless. Whenever we're in this area we wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Hotel is old but in good condition, after a lot of recent renovation. It is well designed with a pool and hot tub in the middle of its square layout. Room was clean with good A/C (they provide room AC units only), and quiet. Service was very good: they responded to our request for a quiet room location; were nice and accommodating; had a very good "extra": a free wine "two hours" from 6-8 PM; and made a great suggestion for a restaurant for dinner, which was a highlight of our stay in Simi Valley. Warning: they have no elevators, and stairs are not "easy".

ALL personnel excellent. Helpful, courteous, pleasant, and professional. They are the key factor to my trying this BW again. Some minor improvements could make for a better experience and better rating.

The staff were friendly. Rooms were clean with modern decor. Internet speed was good. Hot breakfast had a choice of pancakes or waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages and potatoes. Cereal, yogurt and fruit were available. Overall a good breakfast selection.

I loved every minute of my stay there. The staff was great, especially this girl named Ariana. She's was so sweet and always helpful. Beds were comfy and overall good stay. It was in a great spot in town, too.

Cannot say enough about the staff working the front desk and the breakfast room. Left my ring by the pool and a guest, thankfully, turned it in, it was locked in a small safe. Arriana was one of the good people working there, she was pleasant on the phone and in person. I left a small notebook in the breakfast room, and the manager called my room to let to let me know it had been turned in. Rooms are clean, they have Happy Hour and morning breakfast. Just beware, corner of the bed frame, it will leave a nice shiner on your leg if you don't see it.

We really enjoyed our stay despite a few maintenance issues. The location was perfect and we loved the delicious breakfast selections of hot items and omelets. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. The hotel still has room maintenance issues from its recent remodel that need addressing - our room had no toilet roll dispenser, shower/tub old and cracked and faucet needs recaulking, windows were dirty, electrical outlet was loose and devices wouldn't stay in, door key pad access wouldn't work right. Staff was wonderful and the evening free wine/cheese/cookies were an extra treat.

We regularly travel 2 hoursfrom our home to visit family. Long day makes a return trip. So we have tried many venues and like the This best even though it is out of our way! A truly great breakfast, generous sized, well lit room plus an alert staff makes the difference.

Stayed for a soccer tournament. $99.00 for a two queen room. Not a bad price. Room was nice bathroom was remodeled obviously due to the poor drywall finish. Over all it was a good stay. Breakfast was decent, Place is clean staff friendly.

Stayed here for Neices graduation from cal state northridge. Whole group of us found complimentary breakfast excellent to start our day. Staff was extremely helpful with my elderly parents (helped with bags and retrieving breakfast items). We needed balloons for the graduation and thoughtfully sent to a nearby party store. Great location and staging area for our large group. Would recommend for groups passing thru the area

My husband and I had pre-booked a reservation on bestwestern.com that we quickly(within hours of booking) needed to change. Best Western apparently has a strange policy of not allowing changes or cancellations for pre-paid rooms, even though I hadn't been charged anything & nowhere in the fine print stated this. This was quite irritating and unheard of from any other hotel chain. However, I called and spoke with Anna, this location's manager and she easily changed the date & even upgraded us due to BW status. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating and made it a worthwhile stay. Other benefits are an above average breakfast vs. other BW hotels, close proximity to the Reagan Library & walking distance to good restaurants. We are very thankful to the staff here & to Anna for preventing us from becoming two very disgruntled BW patrons.

Very nice stay, staff courteous and helpful. Clean, Quiet, and I believe good value for the area I have stayed there before and they have been upgrading the appearance of the hotel and rooms. I will plan on staying there again. They have nice and clean pool area with hot tub - nice to relax. Very good freeway access.

The hotel was under renovation when we stayed but this didn't detract from the overall comfort of the stay. Situated in a lovely area and with great access to the freeway and to our relatives home.Good restaurants, convenience and supermarkets close by. Hospitable and friendly staff. It will be great when the renovations are done. Their replacing all the carpets, furniture etc. It's not really a suite! Suites usually have a separate bedroom. Both beds were in the same room. Needed hooks for hanging towels in bathroom. Didn't provide enough towels for 4 people. We asked for more and they brought more promptly. Having the pool so close to the room was disruptive. People were swimming late and they were on the noisy side. The breakfast was pretty good! I'd stay there again!

Do NOT stay here!!! Upon check-in (two rooms), we found the room had no closet to hang clothes (the closet door and even the rod was missing). The toilet seat was NOT attached. The shower was dripping constantly (literally every 2 seconds). The Formica base under the mattress stuck out and the corners were lifted such that it cut my leg about 3". It is still healing. The entry door often did not lock from outside. You could push a little and it would open. (Not a very secure feeling if you leave your room). Went back to front desk immediately to change the rooms. The desk clerk, "Ana" refused to change the rooms. We asked to speak to the Manager and she refused that also. Customers waiting in line to check-in even asked Ana why she didn't help us first since we have been waiting at the desk. She REFUSED to help us and told us she'll refund our money back so we can go elsewhere at 10 p.m.. Then she refused to do that also because we were pre-paid. She told customers she was NOT going to argue with us. Other customers were in shock as witnesses. We returned to the room and called Hotels.com customer service manager who called the hotel and talked to Ana. She put the Hotels.com customer service manager and us on hold for such a long time that they finally hung up. I called again and talked to a different manager at Hotels.com, and she got a hold of a different person at the desk, and he was willing to change the room. By now it was midnight and other couple in our party were already asleep. Next morning there was a different person at the desk, Brandy, very nice and cordial, who changed our rooms immediately.

We wanted to visit the Reagan Library and this hotel is perfect because it was wonderful and very close to the Library. The accommodations were so good, I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Simi Valley.

Had a nice experience and was everything we were needing as were going to the Reagan Library. Places to eat and shop all around and easy to get to. Great location. Staff was very friendly. Had easy check in and out. Breakfast was as great!!

Some construction/room remodeling going on but they did their best to minimize any inconvenience. Breakfast was very, very good! The price per room here compared with other nearby properties make this an amazing value. The evening wine reception was an expected pleasure.

Overall: This was not your typical Best Western... or maybe BW has changed. They exceeded my group's expectations. We stayed in four rooms for four nights. I would stay here again. Room: The room felt roomier than most hotels in this price range. It was clean and comfortable. The mattress and pillows were the right firmness. The bathroom and towels were spotless. The shower had strong water pressure. I wasn't happy that the air conditioning couldn't be set to constantly run - I like to drown out the exterior noise. Fortunately, the halls have concrete floors so I woke only once due to loud voices. Wi-fi was faster than typical. Security: The setup of this hotel has exterior hallways. I'm not sure this is the safest setup. Also, the neighborhood didn't appear to be the safest. I wasn't comfortable running at night, but in the day my guess is it's OK. Breakfast: Was an excellent free breakfast - far better than most in this price range. Eggs were real, not powdered. Everything was well stocked and warm. Consisted of scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, pancakes or French toast. There were typical cereals, juices and coffee, and fruit. Staff: Everyone was great - front desk, Breakfast, and maids. Very helpful, courteous, and hard working.

We booked executive suite. The room was very tired. The bathroom had inadequate lighting, the living room section was very bare and needed remodeling. Clean and quiet. Staff very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was very nice and the restaurant staff was very nice and made sure we had everything we wanted. Wine was served at night but we had plans with friends so didn't stop by. The location was great, about 3 miles from street to Reagan Library.

Nothing like the picture on line. Awful! Mattresses next to our room, door wouldn't shut all the way, huge gap all the way around the door. Toilet wouldn't stop running. Every time another room close to us took a shower it sounded like they were in our room. Lots of trash, dirty, mattresses next to our room.

This Best Western motel is the MOST. The facility is great and the staff is exceptional. The Wine and Cheese in the afternoon and the Breakfast in the morning are the BEST. I look forward to coming here each time.

As a celebration of our 50th anniversary we decided to take a quick trip to Simi Valley to visit the Reagan Library. We did this on the spur of the moment and found the Best Western Posada Royale located centrally for this visit. Upon arrival at this BW facility we were met with a very pleasant desk attendant who found us an upgrade to celebrate this special occasion. Wine, crackers, cheese and grapes were served that evening in the facility. The specially made omelets at breakfast in the morning were a nice touch. The work-out facility and outdoor pool area were greatly appreciated, too. Throughout our time we were treated with kindness and respect. Thank you.

Great place and great people caring for the place. We felt taken care of and very safe. The grounds are beautiful, and the pool was exactly what we needed after a hot day of showing horses. They were busy remodeling, so there were a few things missing from our room or I would have given that a 5 also..will return for sure.

Stayed in early Feb 2017 to attend a local tournament. The property was undergoing a makeover (paint, furniture, fixtures). We were given the unfinished room directly across from the pool, ice machine and vending machine. The room number was taped to the door. Since we arrived well after midnight, we contended with paint fumes, lack of chairs and exposed wiring. No maid service for the 2 nights we stayed. The property shouldn't have used the room or should have forewarned us and offered a discount. We've been lifelong Best Western customers. This experience was disappointing.

They are updating the whole hotel, which looks pretty good so far. The rooms are mostly quiet, except by the pool. In that area, they might rehearse a wedding, or host a whole busload of high school kids who want to carry on in the pool. I have seen both. I have luckily avoided the worst of it. The rooms that face the pool area get the brunt of the noise. So choose your room wisely and you'll have a good stay. One of the more interesting features of staying here is the breakfast which comes free with the room. Their breakfast is outstanding. Far from the usual carb load of other hotels that offer a continental breakfast, the Best Western in Simi gives you a custom-made egg dish, such as a scramble with ingredients you can customize, or an omelette etc. And they usually have an array of other items such as freshly made bacon, potatoes, waffles, toast, yogurt, bagels… Pretty much most of what you would want in a breakfast. The coffee is also pretty good. This place has become so popular because of the breakfast that you will see a lot of travelers stopping here along the way to various destinations. I think it's worth a stay, especially since there are so few options in the area.

It grieves me to give this hotel a poor review. It has an excellent breakfast, large rooms and is priced right. However, how the hotel handled the problems with Rm 261 leaves a lot to be desired. We arrived late on a Monday afternoon and told the on-duty front desk manager on our way out for dinner that the HVAC system was blowing hot air. Nothing had been done on our return and we slept with the window open. Luckily it was cool out but there was much noise from the other HVAC units and the light on the balcony was annoying. We reported the problem in the morning to the on-duty front desk manager but nothing was done when we returned later in the afternoon. We again reported the problem to the on-duty front desk manager and were advised that a repair order was issued and the front-desk manager recommended we open the window. In addition, the sink was backed-up and also leaking. This room should not have been let with all these deficiencies. At check-out, the front-desk manager advised the owner was aware of the problems so the ownership's direction is extremely puzzling.

If you , or your family member have any phisical disability- this place is not for you. If you wish to take shower or shaving with a mobile phone light than welcome. 1. No elevator. I was promised to get help with bags "we will wait for you near the stairs" no one waited for me . I had to climb with bags on my back and then with the wife who underwent knee surgery 2. AC was leaking but it was repaired fast 3. Light in the bathroom was not working periodically. Sometimes, during shower. We asked for assistance few times. No one helped.

This hotel is so serene, with beautiful view and lovely caring Staff. The stop we have to see our favourite Presidential Reagan Library. The drive getting there are breathtaking, it is so beautiful. The Hotel are clean and big there's breakfast even a hot grill going outside. I love that the Hotel cater to the Military and family.

Came in late, easy check in. Easy to find- beautiful grounds- stop and smell the roses! Breakfast was a nice buffet- nothing great but worth the price of the hotel. Close to Ronald Reagan Library which was the purpose of my trip.

Stayed here 3 years ago whilst visiting family and loved the hotel, pool, staff and breakfasts. Have booked for July this year again as we enjoyed our last stay so much, new rooms look amazing, here's hoping we get one of them. Really well placed for visits to Simi, RR Library and California beaches. Pool was great and caught the sun almost all of the day. Staff were really friendly and helpful and gave loads of suggestions about local areas of interest

I was presenting at a local conference and this place was perfect! It was easy to find. There were many places to get last minute items and plenty of places to eat nearby. The room was clean, beds were comfy, and always enjoy where there is a mini fridge and a microwave included. There was plenty of parking and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. Ther were a few of us presenters from all over California and we all pretty much agreed that is was a great place to stay for this educational meet up!

The hotel was under construction and this was never disclosed to us before we arrived. The room had lights that did not work, electric outlets that did not work, no towel rack, no toilet paper rack, and the shower was dilapidated with a green moldy head. We booked the room for 4 people and only 3 towels were given...we asked for more and never received them. Construction workers everywhere with fresh paint, dust, smelly carpet rolls, and general debris everywhere. We understand that renovations happen, but a simple prior notification could have eased a lot of discomfort. We have stayed at this hotel before and the stay was fine...that is why we chose to return. In the future we will spend a bit more and avoid a hotel under construction. We were told that breakfast ended at 10 am...so when we went down to eat on Monday morning at 9:10, we found that breakfast was cleaned up and the kitchen was closed. It was then explained to us that breakfast ends at 10 am on weekends, but on weekdays it ends at 9:00 am. Again, a simple, accurate, prior notification could have eased a bit of discomfort and disappointment.

We were not told that the hotel was under remodel. Upon arrival you could see all the old carpet piled outside in front of check in. The staff said our rooms were remodeled and we were lucky to get them. They may have had new furniture and carpet, but, the holes in the bathroom wall, no door frames leaving exposed metal studs could have caused injury to seniors or children. Finish the job and then rent out the hotel!!!

The best breakfast that we have gotten at any Best Western property that we have stayed at to date. You can get cook to order eggs, omelets, scramble eggs, whatever you would like. You can also get the standard scrambles eggs. The breakfast room is large and very comfortable.

The hotel was going through a complete remodel. The areas that are complete look very nice. Was not bothered by the construction at all and even the workmen were extremely polite and went out of their way to allow us to walk through areas they were working. Nice central outdoor patio and pool area to hang out with a group or individuals.

This Hotel was/is under renovation. We rented 2 rooms for my wife and I, our 2 small kids and my mother in law. One of the rooms had an exposed outlet without a face plate. I brushed it my leg and sparks went flying and the power went out of our room. We had to change rooms late at night, waking up my infant son. My 2 year old daughter had plugged in her nightlight just hours before this occurred. LUCKILY, she happen to plug it in on the opposite side of the room. If by chance she chose that plug, she could have been electrocuted!!! The manager (not on site) had the front desk offer us %50 off for our trouble. The next day they gave one free night (1 of 4) There was also broken glass on the stairs leading up to our room. While I understand the need for renovations, the complete lack of oversight and pure negligence is completely unacceptable and frankly quite DANGEROUS!! We were appalled.

Even though there's some remodeling still taking place, this is a great stay. Clean modern rooms. Beautiful lobby, and pool area. Stayed in King Suit. Very reasonable price. Vaulted ceilings. Don't let the fact some finishes aren't complete...the overall is really nice...and new. Comfortable beds and convenient layout. Balcony views are relaxing. Free hot breakfast is really fresh and we'll prepared. We enjoyed a quiet comfortable stay.while visiting Reagan Library. This hotel was close. And close to many restaurants.

I will stay again as often as possible at this excellent, lovely, comfortable and convenient hotel. The breakfast is very good, the rooms very comfortable, and the hotel staff is very courteous and helpful. It is a lovely respite.

We stayed overnight in this Best Western property in Simi Valley to break up our long driving trip to San Diego. The hotel's location is good -- not far from the freeway turn-off, and the breakfast was very good, especially with the availability of cook-to-order hot breakfast and good variety of fresh fruits, pastries, juices, and beverages. The room we stayed was large enough to have two queen beds, and the linens, towels are of good quality. The interior of the room, however, is somewhat tired and is in need of a new paint job and new wall paper. Overall, our stay was pleasant and the price was reasonable; hence a relatively good value for the money!

Stayed one night for a wedding at the Wood Ranch golf course. Shuttle ran promptly as promised by the hotel. Check in was great, the front desk lad was extremely pleasant and upbeat and we were able to check in a little early to get ready for the event. The rooms are a little dated, they have tried to update the room but it still shows signs of wear and age. What do you expect from a hotel that has been around awhile? My big complaint was that the bed was very firm. I am used to sleeping on a cloud, so I did wake up with a neck ache the next morning. There was a microwave and fridge in the room which was a nice bonus. They also accommodated my request for a balcony room, the balcony can barely fit two chairs on it but it was nice to sit out and have a pre-wedding cocktail. There is a small pool and hot tub in the middle of the complex. The included breakfast also had a made to order omelet station, but it is outside the eating area not readily visible so I am sure the poor attendants were annoyed with someone asking them every 5 seconds where it was. Had a nice spread of breakfast fare, more than just a continental type breakfast so that was a pleasant surprise. It is close to the library if you are in town for that. There are several shopping centers nearby for restaraunts and snacks. They are also putting in a chinese buffet next door, so that might be a dining option once it is open. I would stay here again and ask for a mattress topper if I am ever back up in this area.

Most of the staff was courteous and friendly, save for one who really left a bitter taste in our mouth at the time of check-in. The jacuzzi was quaint, and the pool freezing cold. The breakfast was edible, but nothing to write home about by any means. The pull-out bed sagged. The carpet showed its age. Due to a high-ceiling window, part of the room was too bright in the morning. All in all, amenities were minimalist, and the "motel" served its purpose for a place to sleep.

Every time my family and I travel, we only stay at The Best Westerns. I love the cleanliness and size of rooms they offer. Their staff is very professional and will go above and beyond to help you. TW

All around very good value. The hotel is a bit older but the lobby and courtyard is really nice. Rooms and bathroom quite spacious, bed was good and pretty quiet although we were there on o Monday. Not far from shopping and restaurants so good location. Staff friendly. 2 extra's that you don't see often, we had complimentary wine and cheese from 6-8 in the lobby and the hot breakfast is well above average with an outdoor omelet bar. Highly recommended, won't look for anything else next time I'm in Simi Valley

This is not a cookie cutter hotel. There are all kinds of individual touches here. There is complimentary wine and cheese on week days, an excellent breakfast, including a made to order omelet bar, and a friendly, helpful staff. The location is very good. I especially like that Target (with a Starbucks) is one block away-- very walk-able. Refrigerators and microwaves are in the rooms. Coffee is in the lobby. Local restaurants are a few blocks away on either side. We especially enjoyed Ali Baba, in a strip center very close to the hotel. (Try the lamb kabobs and the beef shwarmma and take the leftovers back to the room. It makes a great lunch the next day re-heated in the microwave.)

My wife was skeptical- especially when I told her the price included a cooked breakfast. I told her it was highly rated and that we should give it a try. She reluctantly agreed. It's not the Ritz- but it is one of the best Hotel values we have ever stayed at. As the reviews told us, the breakfast was absolutely terrific! The room was clean and quiet and except for a few decorating touches which my wife pointed out was excellent. We recommend a stay at this hotel when visiting the Reagan Library! We don't think you'll be disappointed!

This was a great hotel. Wonderful staff and the breakfast is great. This what what I like best western hotels, their price is great and they give awesome breakfast. That breakfast was like something you could get at a restaurant and so you don't have to worry about going to have to spend money for breakfast. The staff was very polite and courteous.

Friendly, accommodating staff, nice hotel for the price. Excellent breakfast and other amenities included. Rooms are a bit tired, but clean and perfectly adequate. Nice quiet location. Would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was very good and the omelette station was absolutely wonderful as well great selection of food for breakfast. Thank you all for making our stay memorable . Keep up the good work.
