"Well located and good service"
KatC104, 05 Juillet 2019

Three and half points. This hotel had a good location in middle of main street and near to railway station, it was nice and pretty quiet for one night stay. Loved the tiny balcony with ”grass” on it, had there a nice own glutenfree breakfast. Customerservice was fast and very wellcoming. Room and bathroom were also quite tiny, but Ok. Air condition was perfect as well as the elevator. We might visit there once more.

"Exellent hotel with very good location"
Nadejda P, 30 Juin 2019

We have visited the hotel in June 2019 for 5 nights. The hotel is located in main street - 15 minutes by walk to the beach and the old town, with easy access to all attractions in Nice and costal area (Monaco, Eze, etc.) - very close to the train station and bus stops. The breakfast was excellent and various. There have scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sausages, bacon, ham, fresh fruit -melon and watermelon, freshly baked croissants, etc. The staff is extremely polite, with free use of English language. The internet connection in the room was very good. We don't have any problems during our staying and don't have any complaints about the hotel. Strongly recommend to anyone who decided to stay in the hotel Best Western New York.

"Good stay"
sp19singh, 29 Juin 2019

The hotel is centrally located, 8 mins walk away from the Central train station, from where you can get bus no. 99 for reaching the airport. The reception staff were very friendly and cheerful, Alex assisted us in checking in and also explained us about nearby activities. The rooms are adequately furnished but the toiletries in the bathroom werent sufficient. However, at the reception one can get hold of the sunscreen lotions, hand towels and refreshments to beat the sultry heat of the summer. Also, pocket wifi is available at the reception which costs only Eur 2 per day.

"Highly recommend"

A 12 night stay with friends and family and we definitely made the correct choice in staying at Best Western New York and would highly recommend. Brilliant location. Rooms are large enough for your needs, with a bonus of refrigerator, coffee making facilities and safe. Cleaned daily to a high standard. Breakfast was tasty and catered for all our needs. The Staff were exceptional and made us very welcome and were helpful in lots of ways. A particular thanks goes to the manager who went out of his way to make our stay a bit more special

"Highly recommended"

We stayed at the Best Western for 12 nights in early June as part of the women's World Cup games. The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Nice and offered everything we needed. The rooms are immaculate ,spacious and cleaned every day. Breakfast offers a good variety of food and I must say the scrambled egg, bacon and sausage are amongst the best I've had abroad.A great touch by the hotel was to provide a packed breakfast to our early flight to Le Harve. The reception staff were fantastic and very helpful ,whenever we wanted bus or train advice they were happy to help.Pocket wifi provided by the hotel was very handy and cheap at a few euros per day. A special mention to the manager Julian who despite been very busy took time out every day to ask our plans and generally took an interest in our stay. We would certainly return and recommend it to anyone . Lenny Houghton

"Perfect"
56jaynei, 24 Juin 2019

Having recently stayed here for 12 days with a group of friends following England Ladies in the World Cup I can highly recommend this hotel. It is in a superb spot just off the Avenue Jean Médecin, ideally placed for a host of cafes, restaurants and only a 10 min walk from the Promenade. The hotel itself is immaculate with good sized rooms. Breakfast is great especially the scrambled eggs and croissants. The staff are so friendly and very helpful and made us all feel very welcome. If we are ever back in Nice I would not hesitate to book here again. Jayne

terril156, 19 Juin 2019

This hotel combines the peace of mind afforded when booking a global chain with a little French individuality. A superb location - close to the train station, old town and promenade. We were lucky to get a large room with a double balcony over looking the main shopping area . The downside to this is the noise from the passing trams at night but this couldn't dampen our visit. We will be back !

"Very helpful staff and great value breakfast"
khwolfe, 04 Juin 2019

Thank you to the staff in Best Western New York who found the passport I accidentally left behind and mailed it home to me!! You were very helpful. My room was comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast was great value at only €8 for a full cooked breakfast with eggs, bacon, etc and good coffee. I'll stay there again next time I'm in Nice!

"Super approved! "
elebel89, 03 Juin 2019

I came in this hotel 2 times and I found very comfortable in the rooms and the price is so good for the quality a super modern rooms and with Bk included. The first time my room was soo small but the second tone was spectacular and very big. The staff is awesome and very very nice with the customers. The satisfy their requests and solves the problems. I'm a blogger and Youtuber in Italy and I ll for sure advertise this hotel to my followers. Breakfast is great, you can every thing you want to eat, nothing missing and the breakfast room is very good and big. I ll come back here when I come to Nice. See you soon guys! Hugs from Italy!

"Lovely hotel with fab staff"
Raymond H, 02 Juin 2019

Very polite and friendly staff . Hotel very clean and room was very well appointed. Breakfast looked fantastic but I did not chose this option so can not review food .this hotel is on the main strip. 10 min walk from old centre where there is loads of restaurants and night markets.

"Location and lot more."
tinetengco, 30 Avril 2019

BEDROOM- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The rooms are spacious. We have two kids with us and there's still plenty of space to move around the room. LOCATION ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The location is very strategic. We arrived via train from Milan and it is just a short walk from the Nice-Ville station. The Notre Dame de Nice is about 2-minute walk. Place Masséna and other areas are also within walking distance. STAFF - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The staff are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They have directions and a map for places to see, they even called a tour agency for us for a last-minute decision to take one. BREAKFAST - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We didn't book breakfast for our 5-day stay because we wanted to try the local Cafés in the area. We ended up taking 2 breakfast buffets in the hotel after trying out some. 12 euros for per adult is well worth it. TOILETRIES/BATHROOM -⭐️⭐️⭐️ I rated 5 stars to almost all the aspects except for this one. The toiletries are basic but since I usually bring our own toiletries with us, it doesn't bother much. There's no glass or anything, they just use curtains as partitions. WILL I COME BACK AGAIN? It's a big YES!

"1ST VISIT TO FRENCH RIVIERA, AT AN EXCELLENT HOTEL!!!"
MBSilver, 27 Avril 2019

I had wanted to go to the French Riviera for years, but thought it was out of my reach financially. I was completely delighted when I made a reservation at this hotel and the price was very reasonable! I found out that Nice was affordable, if one is careful to not fall into the clutches smack dab in the middle of a tourist trap. Upon taking the cab set up for me by the hotel, from the airport, the place struck me as a mix between LA, San Francisco, and Venice, Italy. Arriving frazzled at the hotel from being up all night, since I can't sleep on a plane, Yohan greeted me warmly with a bottled water with ice. I was delighted that they had upgraded me from a twin bed to a queen. The room, although small, was perfectly adequate. TV has many channels, some I sort of recall from my Budapest trip one year ago. The view from the window was very charming. Bed was comfortable. The bath was very pleasant, with a strong flow of water in the shower, and plenty of hot water. Loved the high ceilings of the room. The room was a bit cold when I woke up, but the heat came on quickly. I really didn't hear the other guests through the walls. Each morning, I went down to breakfast about 7 when it started, and the chef was very pleasant and most welcoming, I was glad that they had a wide variety of things for all tastes. Most importantly the scrambled eggs were done just perfectly each day, with green onion and other additions, and I would have been upset if that had not been available. Then, what anybody coming to France is thrilled to have, nice flaky croissants, and tons of them!!. I admit to having about 4 or 5 each morning! The orange juice was excellent as well. The various people working in that area were courteous and outgoing. There is nothing like a breakfast to get one going, and I was most pleased with this experience. A great store right across the street Monoprix, had so much to offer. I bought razor blades, and fabulous blueberries (room had a small fridge) and batteries, and curried chicken. I also got the much needed suntan lotion, as this is the French Riviera after all, and the sun was out most of the visit, and the weather was close to 70. I regret not bringing a lighter jacket. Also visited the famous Galleries Lafayette Department Store. Ate at their lunch room, and that was good, and educated myself on their bedding, which had of course Ralph Lauren, but also designers new to me such as Yves Delorme, and other French household names. I always felt cared for by the staff, such as the extremely friendly and professional Yohan, and later met Julian, who was concerned over my welfare. Julian wanted reassurance that I felt the hotel was a satisfactory experience. I never found anyone rude when I called the desk or showed up there at all hours, they were great!!. Also Sara was very helpful to make sure I received a 7AM wake up call the day of my trip home, and she set up the car service for the airport. I just found the French in general extremely nice, and strangers were very outgoing, with tons of advice for being a tourist. I admit to a prejudice thinking the French might be snobby or aloof, this was not the case. I clearly was wrong, but I had not set foot in France since 1972! I felt one of the best features of the hotel is the room safe, it was easy to use, and eased my mind. There is also a cute and very chic little room off the lobby with red velvet furniture and a wired computer for guest use, plus they had one computer available to take up the room. I did not use this room, but will next time, since I would definitely return to this wonderful hotel!! The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk to the beach, which is so picturesque! Another great feature of the hotel is the close proximity to the train station, no more than a 10 minute walk. I used that train to go twice to Monte Carlo (loved that town) and also Cannes (wasn't crazy about Cannes) It was only 8 Euros round trip to Monaco!! It is certainly a very safe area filled with many restaurants, but trust me, after the ample breakfast at the hotel, one doesn't need gobs of food during the day!! So thanks again to Yohan, and Julian and Sara!! I also encountered 2 extremely approachable guards at the Royal Palace, (one who agreed to a photograph) and they were very helpful guiding me on how to walk to the Monte Carlo Casino with the flashy cars!! I found out not only was the trip within my reach, but I didn't spend gobs of money being there. I want to go to Saint Paul De Vence next time, since I am an artist and understand art permeates that town. So there will be plenty to do next time that I missed, and I found it funny that being someone who lives in the Bronx, right above Manhattan in NYC, I would wind up staying at Best Western New York in Nice!! I will definitely be back, and wouldn't hesitate to stay in this fabulous hotel again!!!!!!!!!!

"Lovely little place "
redo1976, 18 Avril 2019

Clean and comfortable and in a very central location for the station and seafront. Friendly helpful staff at reception. Enough choice for breakfast and at a good price for central Nice. The only negative was that the bar doesn't service alcohol but there are plenty of bars nearby to pick from.

"Exceptionally clean and well located for business travel"
Coastal01814316578, 07 Avril 2019

A wonderful location that was easy to walk to from train station. In a safe and well lit area next to a Monoprix and a few minutes walk to the Med and all Nice downtown has to offer! The main entrance is off a side street with a lovely park-like setting entrance.

"Excellent hotel at Nice"
870evgenyl, 30 Mars 2019

The location is excellent at the Nice center, the breakfast was very good, the staff very friendly. The internet in our room was poor then the staff brings us the solution. Everything was OK . Thanks!

"Good location, nice staff, correct accomodation"
Boris L, 24 Mars 2019

Good location, quite quiet in night, very friendly and helpful staff, clean hotel, good and relatively cheap breakfast, correct service and accommodation. I would easily come back once I am in Nice. Train station at walking distance, tramway just next to hotel.

"Really recommend "
81alirezar, 24 Mars 2019

I stay 3 nights in this hotel all staffs are really polite. The rooms are in a good condition. The breakfast was acceptable. The ambience in hotel and rooms was really awesome. All in all it was one of my best experience. The only negative point was the busy and noisy street and sometimes at night it was a bit annoying.

"Great location, breakfast could be improved slightly."
ellieb257, 17 Février 2019

We only stayed here for 1 night after travelling from Monaco and Cannes a few nights prior. The front desk staff were amazing, props to them. They couldn't do enough and were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for them. They took time to explain what was in Nice and how to get around. They also took our bags as we arrived before check in so this was very much appreciated! Beds were comfy and rooms were clean. My sister and I were very happy with our room but my sister and Mums room smelt of stale smoke which was unpleasant. This was reported and an effort was made to remove the smell but it didn't fully work. Sadly we couldn't swap rooms due to the hotel being full. Breakfast was ok, it could be improved in my option. Choice was a bit limited, more hot options and fruit would be nice. Pastries and juice were nice however and there were 2 coffee machines which was handy! The location was very convenient, a 10 minute walk from the promenade. I would stay again due to value and location, as well as the friendliness of the staff.

"A long review, but everything you need to know :)"
big_paan, 31 Janvier 2019

Location - the best part about this hotel was the location. Given it's relatively central location, sites such as Old Nice, the beach, and the Nice train station (for day trips to Cannes or Antibes) was an easy walk. The port (where you can catch transportation to Monaco or check out the yachts) was a bit further out, but still walkable in less than 30 minutes. If that's too far for you, the hotel is located on a tram line, so that will take you more than 50% of the way. Along Jean Médecin, you can get anything and everything you need. The hotel is next to a supermarket (Monoprix) which sells literally everything. You're sandwiched between two McDonald's restaurants if that's what you fancy. Or there are some awesome places a block or two off on either side of the main tram road. Try Manneken for the best fries you will ever have. Noise - I was hesitant to book here because of all the reviews citing noise. That being said, I had some of the best sleeps of my year here. I got used to the tram noise and loud tourists relatively quickly. If you want no noise at all, find a VRBO in a quiet building a long hike away from the action. This wasn't bad at all (for reference, I was basically above the entrance, on the third floor, with a balcony. I could see Jean Médecin). Don't let the noise be a deterrent from booking here. The location makes up for it. Breakfast - To put it simply, not worth the 12€. Croissants, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, scrambled eggs, and pork-based hot and cold meats. Pancakes were available one day. If you show up later, the fruit stock dwindles. If you have any dietary requirements that would preclude you from enjoying the above staples, grab a stash of food from Monoprix. Wifi pocket - as a Canadian with outrageous roaming charges on my phone plan (like 99% of us), this was money very well spent. I had free wifi everywhere I went (including Cannes/Antibes, and spotty in Monaco). In fact, I found this wifi to be better than the hotel wifi. I would definitely recommend this. Cleanliness - I found my room to be okay... definitely not the sparkling beauty you would see (and expect from) a 5-star hotel. Every day I'd find random different colour long hairs around my sink or in my shower. I had a lizard visitor on my last day. Anyways, standard 3-star expectations :) Toiletries - I didn't really find much info on this in previous reviews. You get a bottle of all-in-one shampoo/bodywash stuck to the wall, and two little hand soaps. That's it. Bring whatever else you need, or buy it from the Monoprix. Service - friendly, professional, helpful, and courteous. True to the expectations of an international brand name. No short-cuts here! The welcome package in my room was unexpected and above and beyond. I especially appreciated the personalized card! Don't undervalue the excellent service and location. You can buy everything else you need. I hope you enjoy your stay here, as I did.

"Comfortable stay in Nice"
anastasia1211, 30 Janvier 2019

Very nice hotel with great location and reach breakfast. Interior design of rooms is usual for such type of hotels, There are comfortable beds and electric kettle in the room, and other standard facilities. The room was very clean with balcony and a good view. It must be nice to spend your summer time there. And the most important thing - the staff is very-very-very friendly. 24-hour help desk. And besides, in our room there was sweet compliment from the hotel :). Enjoyed staying there.

"External Noise"
ralftog, 24 Janvier 2019

The hotel was neat, clean and the bed comfortable. The location was very good for the railway station, tram line 1 and the main shopping street. The shopping street was the main problem. During the night - after mid-night onwards - there was a great deal of noise from the street mainly people shouting and yelling. On one night a machine to grind the tram track rails group its way slowly up and down the road. It was incredibly noisy passing one way at around 1.00am and then back on the other track around 2.00am. It probably doesn't happen more than once a year BUT.....

"Good hotel in a very good location"
Sherif M, 13 Janvier 2019

God hotel in a very good location it's near to train station as well as 25 minutes to the airport we stayed there for 2 nights and the room we had was a spacious one with a view on the main street tram station is just a few steps and supermarket is in front of the hotel the staff was very friendly and helpful we had bad WIFI signal in our room so they give us portable hotspot all through our stay I will stay at this hotel next time when in nice Breakfast varieties was limited but overall good

"Perfect stay in Nice"
laurapM7007EG, 09 Janvier 2019

Great location, helpful and friendly staff and clean and cozy rooms. Breakfast was good, although there could have been more healthy choices to choose, like fruits, vegetables or smoothies etc. Anyhow, I highly recommend this place. Everything worked well during our stay, thank you for taking such a good care of us! ❤️

"Very nice stay and good location"
Joe A, 07 Janvier 2019

Stayed here for four nights in October 2018. Was an easy walk with luggage from the train station after taking the bus there from the airport. When we arrived around 11:00 a.m., of course was too early for check-in, so the front desk checked our bags in and put them in a secure room. When was time for check-in, our rooms were promptly available. The elevator is very small (typical of older buildings in France), and could take one person with luggage at a time. No big deal. The room I had (#406) was facing the sidestreet looking at the grocery store next door. Smallish room but clean and comfortable and decent sized bathroom. At night, I did notice noise coming from the street below, and was just people talking; the problem really was that the French doors that open to a mini balcony are in need of better seals. The good thing was that since this was offseason, it got pretty quiet by midnight, so I just put up with it a few nights for a short time. The area is quieter, which is what we wanted, but not far from the more lively areas and also close to main train station (for taking day trips to Monaco or elsewhere). The breakfast was OK, not too much to choose from but enough to get the day started. Having coffee / tea making machines in room was also nice. I had read some reviews about the air conditioning being turned off for winter by early October. However, the AC worked just fine thankfully, as the temperature was 75-80F during our stay and needed it to take the stuffiness out of the room. It worked really well and cooled the room quickly and was not noisy. That was good to have. You can easily take the tram to Old Town or the sea (or walk), and plenty of restaurants not far away. Front desk was happy to give recommendations on restaurants or advice on ones that I had researched, and were always helpful. Upon checkout, I didn't notice that they overcharged on the rate that I had reserved the room for. I noticed this upon arriving at my next stop (Paris), gave them a call, and they immediately looked it up and credited me back for the difference while on the phone; great service in taking care of that immediately! Overall was a very nice stay and I would consider staying there again.

"Friendly, Attentive and Pleasant Staff!"
GalinaBM, 21 Décembre 2018

I stayed at the BW Hotel New York in Nice at the beginning of September 2018. Firstly, I would like to express my deep and sincere gratitude to Julian Migueres, Directeur; Sarah Jeanroy, Shift Leader; Alexandre Romand; Tatiana Rasolofo, and to the rest of the wonderful staff. Absolutely everything went like a charm. The hotel exceeded my high expectations. I am a very picky traveller and, as my daughter puts it, ‘very high-maintenance,' one of those 50+ annoying ladies from North America. I have to admit that BW Hotel New York in Nice is one of the friendliest hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. I was treated as a queen from the time of my initial reservation until the check out time. The whole atmosphere was very classy and very homey at the same time. The location is great, it is right on the Ave Jean Médecin. I have already referred the hotel to my friends in Toronto and New York City. In addition to the amazing service and accommodations, the prices were quite reasonable which made my stay even better. Julian Migueres demonstrated absolutely wonderful managerial and customer service skills. He was like a young captain on a ship and his crew understood him without words. High professionalism! Most of the staff had a very good command of English and were extremely pleasant, attentive and genuinely friendly. It was my first time at Côte d'Azur and BW Hotel New York certainly contributed to my great experience. Actually I look forward very much to coming back next year! The holidays are an opportunity to connect with family and friends in a positive and festive atmosphere. In that spirit, I want to take this opportunity to wish BW Hotel New York Nice staff a Safe and Healthy Holiday Season and a Happy New Year!

"Lovely stay"
JakeyBoyReviews, 12 Décembre 2018

Perfect room in a great location. Staff were very accomodating and more than happy to allow for us to have early check-in as our train arrived early in the morning. Room was in a great location and we were very happy with the stay. Would stay here again in the future

"Great location, and amazing stuff"
sandrapI5176DE, 12 Décembre 2018

We had very nice stay at this hotel. Hotel, is in great location , the stuff is very helpful and nice. Room is clean, and cozy. Breakfast didn't have many of options for food, but still was ok. Thank you for a great service!

"Perfect hotel in a wonderful place!"
Crissy_Elena, 05 Décembre 2018

A very, very good hotel ! We stayed in a big room with such an amazing view. All it was very clean and the bed comfortable .Hotel staff were very, very friendly ,approachable all of he time and helpful.Good breakfast . The hotel is situated in the middle of the bustling downtown .It is also has very easy to access to the main railway station(5-7 minutes to walking) where there are trains bound for Cannes,Monaco,Grasse. Great choice for a great price! Thanks to everyone!

"Good location in city center, walkable distance to sea shore"
myhi, 26 Novembre 2018

We had a nice stay at this hotel, and we switched our initial room with a deluxe suite in order to have a balcony; the deluxe suite is big as an apartment, with 2 bathrooms and a very big room. The problem is that the windows are facing the street with the tram line, which makes the place very noisy day and night. Room was very clean, nice new furniture and the bathroom nicely equipped. Breakfast is very good and staff nice and friendly. Parking available on site, however be sure to have a small car as the parking is french-sized. Just avoid the rooms on the right side of the elevator, end of the corridor - as that side is facing the tram line.

""Great hotel, great location""
beth23b, 23 Novembre 2018

My sister and I stayed here for a week in October and were delighted with everything the hotel offered. Julian and his team could not have done any more to make our stay more pleasant than it was. The staff were so helpful and friendly, room and bathroom, complete with full bath were spotless, housekeeping every day, plenty of choice of buffet breakfast......, Even Julian, MD was hands on at breakfast with a smile and chat for everyone. A nice touch was the complementary welcome tray with the usual tea, coffee, and water, was a box with a duck of Fragonard soap and two small pots of Haribo sweets........ The hotel is in the heart of Nice with all amenities at the door. The trams were two minutes away, train station a 5/10 minute walk. Beautiful park with dancing waters 5 mins walk away, Massena square, a great place to people watch and listen to talented street entertainers. I liked the pebble beach which was a 10 minute walk away. Even the sun shone for the whole week. I will definitely stay at the New York again.

"Great hotel in Nice"
Journey37762035834, 09 Novembre 2018

Strongly recommended, perfectly situated in the center of Nice. Cute rooms for 2 persons, cleaned every day, tasty breakfast. People at the reception very helpful. Only disatvantage-6 tiny parking spaces.

"Good hotel, great location"
bmurray67, 24 Octobre 2018

Booked this through Jet 2 holidays. I wanted somewhere near to public transport and the centre of things. This hotel was ideal. We had room 412 obviously newly refurbished. At the front of the hotel so we could open the doors to small veranda. Rooms clean, staff friendly. Breakfast basic but a good start to the day. Supermarket directly over the road, ideal for quick snacks or stocking up the fridge with beer! Nice is lovely but beer is expensive, we paid €8 for a pint! Tram runs alongside the hotel and cost €1.50 per journey, or €1 if you buy a multi journey ticket. Looking for a well priced hotel, this is the one!

"Great Hotel ! So convenient for Nice and the surrounding towns."
RHBCumbria, 24 Octobre 2018

I stayed five nights at the New York , Nice and was not disappointed. I wanted to explore the town and the surrounding area. Because the Hotel is close to the tram, it was so easy to get to all the sights and the Gare. I paid for a Premium room and was delighted. I was on the top floor and had a stunning view to the mountains to the right and the sea on the left. All staff were pleasant and friendly and responsive to the couple of problems I had. Breakfast is taken in a charming area which consists of two fairly small rooms. I liked the abundance of fresh fruit and the coffee machine. It did however get a little congested when a family of ten all came for breakfast at the same time (but that would happen in many hotels !) Yes. the lift is small and slow, but to me this added to the charm and it is a fairly old building. Two things that could be improved; The "Basics" range of toiletries does not make a good impression and I would like a greater selection of English speaking channels. But...overall, a great stay and I would highly recommend..!

"Fantastic experiences and will definitely come back again"
Y9532BDadamw, 20 Octobre 2018

We traveled as family (2 adults and 1 infant) for long weekend in Nice, and the hotel is very good with exceptional value for money. When arrived, you have been served with refreshing teas, and the room has already pre-made with the baby cot. Breakfast has full of varieties and we all enjoy them. The location for the hotel is fantastic, 5 mins walks to train station and less than 10 to beach, the tram stop is right in front; it is also located right to the main street, which has full of good restaurant and bars. Room is clean and functional The staffs are super friendly and professional, giving us baby chair during breakfast; the day when we left, I can see a lovely lady staff with high heel are helping the clients to lift the heavy luggage onto the car, impressive! The only slight improvement i can think of is that lift is a bit small but doing its job Will definitely come back

"Great little hotel and walking distance to everything"
maskelljenny, 16 Octobre 2018

Great weekend in Nice staying at this hotel. Good location, near trams and sights, clean rooms, friendly helpful staff, breakfast great and help yourself buffet. Check in 2.00pm, but if arrive early they have a luggage room. Slight mix up on arrival, room set up for one person, but staff were immediate to bring extra towels etc.

"Great hotel"
Amy H, 10 Octobre 2018

We had a most pleasant stay at this hotel, in the heart of Nice's tourist path. Just off the main artery, Jean Medecin, this smart chic hotel's manager Julian and his assistant Nela went out of their way to help make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. They even helped book taxi service for us since we had so much luggage having come from a family wedding in Greece. The hotel was tastefully decorated and has an airy feel to it. Room was neat and clean with a balcony and lots of amenities. Breakfast was generous and had an assortment of breads, meat, cheeses , and fruit. Thank you for making our stay pleasant and memorable.

"Friendly staff"
Smileyim8, 07 Octobre 2018

Billtcwong, 06 Octobre 2018

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western New York in Nice France for 6 nights. Our friend recommended the Best Western as a good place to stay in Nice. We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff, from the Reception Desk, housekeeping service, and gentleman taking care of the Breakfast Buffet were excellent. In particular, we had the opportunity to meet the Director, Julien. He was personable, professional, service oriented and genuinely interested in making sure our visit to Nice and his hotel was enjoyable. We would definitely come back and recommend this hotel to our friends. It is in an ideal location. A short walk or one tram stop from the train station and Place Masséna. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. We stayed at the Warwick in Geneva and at the Hotel Observatoire Luxembourg in Paris. The service and experience at this Best Western was equal to, or better than these hotels.

"Holidays"
Eugenia W, 04 Octobre 2018

Lovely hotel. Great location and transport is close. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. Only issue is that the room was very small. With 2 people and 4 pieces of luggage , it was tight. My advise is to pay extra get the larger room.

"Gem!"
HoopsAndHeels, 28 Septembre 2018

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel and it's very friendly and helpful staff. The room itself was comfortable and clean. Housekeeping staff was amazing! The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to the beach and 15 minute walk to the train station. There is a Monoprix next door that I made use of and lots of stores and restaurants along Jean Medecin. Would definitely stay again!

"Wonderful team & hotel"
Vasileios R, 22 Septembre 2018

Nela and all members of the team demonstrated a high level of professionalism and impressive hospitality skills. All functions of the hotel operated perfectly. Great location, value for money, high comfort levels, vibe, and exceptional breakfast.

"Excellent Hotel with Friendly & Helpful Staff"
Extraordinary564279, 14 Septembre 2018

Stayed at this hotel from 1st to 8th September 2018. Very impressed with the Hotel and Food. The towels were changed every day and the sheets every 3 days. There was a coffee machine in the room and a fridge. The manager Julian and his staff were always very friendly and ready to help and advise. We would certainly recommend this Hotel.

"Excellent Hotel"
Claire T, 30 Août 2018

My husband and myself have just returned from staying at this hotel and we were both very impressed! This hotel deserves more than 3 stars! Julian and staff were brilliant and service was excellent. Rooms were nice and clean, comfortable beds, tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer, and maid service everyday. Excellent location for bars, restaurants and train station. We will definitely be returning!

"Clean room and great location "
PinkPenguin2014, 01 Août 2018

I stayed here for one night only and found the hotel very practical for my stay. The room was clean and small, though the bathroom was quite good sized. It wasn't noisy, even though I could hear the neighbors talking loudly in the corridor when entering or leaving their room. The breakfast was good, though nothing very special. Also, the staff was nice and helpful.

"Central hotel and good location"
AndersPH, 26 Juillet 2018

Very good hotel in the central of Nice, close to tram and Central station. 10min walk to the beach and old town. Staff friendly and service minded and helpful. Nice breakfast small buy enough. Nice room, clean, quiet, with Tv and wifi, perfect.

"Smokey Rooms"
Maryana K, 24 Juillet 2018

Staff are polite and location is convenient but our room smelled like an ashtray. The smell was just unbearable and I asked to switch rooms and was denied to to capacity. Was not offered a remedy other than “keep the balcony open” which did nothing for the odor. Really disappointed with the lack of attentiveness to the odor it was just disgusting.

"Great location and friendly staff"
24AC2018, 19 Juillet 2018

The location of this hotel was extremely convenient. I took the train in and walked the 8 minutes from the station to the hotel. Ended up using the train to go to nearby Monaco, Cannes, Antibes. Walking to Old Town and the beach was also easy. Although the room was quite small the value of the price paid was good. The entrance to the hotel is on a side street in a courtyard, which seemed more pleasant than others on the main street. A supermarket was also across the street. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

"Excellent!!"
sp29, 16 Juillet 2018

I only stayed one night but I wish I was staying longer! The room was tiny by fine for one person. The AC worked great and I found it to be quiet enough for a restful sleep. The bed was very comfy! And the breakfast service was plentiful and varied. The best part was the concierge service. Alexander helped me a lot and was very warm and welcoming. I regret forgetting the name of another young man who printed my boarding pass for me before I could ask! (I had emailed it to them). Overall, it was terrific and I would definitely stay here again.

"Pleasant hotel with good service"
abhie2014, 30 Juin 2018

We had the best rooms in the house and our second room was upgraded. Great service and team. The rooms are spacious with large washrooms. Our rooms also had small balconies which overlooked the market. While it is just 15 mins walk from the main square we preferred to take the tram. The Monoprix and Nice Etoile had some really good joints to eat and drink. The only gripe is about the breakfast - it was the same menu each day which made it boring by the end of it.

"Pleasant hotel with very convenient location"
amonakhovav, 20 Juin 2018

Convenient location: about 8 min walk from railway station and 10 min walk to Masena place. Located on the main street, avenue Jean Medecin, with lots of places to eat close by. There is also a supermarket just across the street. The room was of good size, clean, nicely decorated, with lots of daylight coming through the windows. Comfortable bed, high quality linen. The bathroom was big and clean, but require minor maintenance repairs. Soundproofing is not perfect, could hear tram from outside, but it does not disturb much. In addition to the kettle, there is a Nespresso coffee machine in the room, with a surcharge to replenish coffee capsules. The breakfast was good, sufficient selection of choices to start the day. Good coffee from the coffee machine. We check-out before breakfast time and hotel provided us with small breakfast boxes. In general, hotel is beautifully decorated, especially the reception area. Would definitely stay another time.

"no worries at this hotel"
Ferryhillvillage, 17 Juin 2018

Medium size hotel well situated for transport, resturants and shops. Our room was very clean and well furnished. We had a couple of small room issues which were promptly dealt with by the management. The breakfast was more than adequate with a reasonable choice of foods.I was unfortunate to sprain my ankle during the stay,Reception in the form Alonso ensured I had a ready supply of ice to relieve the swelling.Julian the hotel manager was ever present always ready to help and inform.A word of warning making for the return journey there is considerable road works which doubled the time the get there.A good holiday holiday experience, would recommend this hotel.

"Thanks for everything"
eraineri, 07 Juin 2018

Hotel is in a great location near good shopping and restaurants. The hotel is clean and updated. In addition employees are fantastic. My travel agency had a mishap and Julian and his staff went above and beyond to help me. I look forward to my next visit.

"Excellent hotel and staff"
sidotcom, 04 Juin 2018

We stayed here one night following the Monte Carlo or Bust Rally. The rooms were clean and tidy and we had plenty of space. The staff were really helpful with all our baggage - Alessandro on the front desk - was especially helpful to us. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay in Nice. We will be back next summer.

"Good hotel. Great location "
CLWRJT, 03 Juin 2018

This hotel is perfectly situated to ensure you are in easy walking distance to all places you want to visit in Nice. And if you aren't in walking distance the tram is directly outside and a short walk to the train station. Great staff who were extremely friendly and very helpful. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment. You must remember that you get what you pay for. This hotel is very reasonable for the centre of Nice. The rooms were a decent size and we were lucky with a balcony which was great. The cleanliness was perfect. The bed was comfortable although the pillows were an odd square shape instead of the usual rectangular. Whilst the location is perfect it means the noise levels are fairly high. We struggled to sleep well due to the noise levels from the tram and the street below, this is why I believe the hotel is the price it is. Our aircon also made several loud noises through the night which didn't help. Taking this into consideration I am still rating t 5 stars due to the incredible value for money and lovely hotel itself. Very much worth a visit and we will come back if we ever revisit Nice.

"Ideal for families"
jsm101, 02 Juin 2018

I just wanted to leave a review of this hotel as we had such a pleasant surprise and it was perfect for travelling with our toddler! The reception are very friendly and helpful. The reception is well decorated with sweeties for the little one, cucumber water etc. Our room was small but nevertheless big for Nice, the bed comfortable and there were a bath (full size) and kettle - ideal with a toddler. Also had a lovely big balcony (shame no furniture on it) and a big TV to keep us entertained while the baby was asleep. The entrance to the hotel is a little garden off the main road so I wasn't worried about her running off and getting mowed down by a tram!! Nevertheless, the tram stop is a 2 minute walk away, main square with a park 10 minutes and the beach about 11 minutes! I thought the hotel really represented excellent value for money and we had a very comfortable stay.

"Magnafique petit hotel"
gdix1, 01 Juin 2018

I stayed here with my wife and found the hotel to be the perfect little retreat in the heart of nice. We where greeted with a smile on arrival and offered a delightful fresh tea. The check in was quick pleasant and straight forward. I always request the ‘best room in the house' in every hotel I stay at and my room certainly didn't dissapoint. The room was very large and well appointed. With great views of the street and cathedral from the third floor. Spotlessly clean and fresh. I chose this hotel for its position and uniqueness, it was proven to be a wise choice. I can not comment on the breakfast or bar facilities as we did not indulge. The hotel staff where atttentative, pleasant and very professional. Julien the day manager introduced himself on check out and stayed with us until the taxi arrived to bid us farewell. Anyone thinking of staying in Nice should take my advice and book a room at this hotel, it most wont disappoint you.

"3 nights for The Monaco Historic GP"
Douglas R, 24 Mai 2018

3 nights with friends and family visiting the Monaco Historic GP a good hotel a short walk from the railway station, we used the train to commute to Monaco there was a rail strike on the Sunday. A clean comfortable and reasonably quiet room to the front of the hotel, good breakfast, In a good location with plenty of shops and restaurants close by, would use again next time in Nice.

"Perfect hotel location "
David B, 22 Mai 2018

Our trip was booked via Easy Jet for a five day break. We booked a superior room and although not large it was really nice and located on the fourth floor with a balcony. There was a welcome tray which included tea coffee and bottled water. The hotel provides free WiFi and free safe. The location was great only ten minutes from the train station and twenty minutes from the promenade. The hotel is also located on the tram route where there is a €1.50 charge for each journey. Breakfast was mainly continental but also included egg bacon and sausage. The staff very were very friendly and provided a map of Nice together with suggested trips. There is a supermarket next door and any amount of restaurants. On our final day we had a late flight and the manager kindly arranged a later checkout time. A great holiday and we will certainly return to this hotel.

"great family break"

"Nice Hotel in Nice"
AttentiveTraveller, 08 Mai 2018

We stayed here on a short trip visiting the small sleepy town of Nice. We arrived into Nice via plane and then took the No.99 bus to the main train station in Nice. From there it is a simple 10 minute to the hotel. On check in, we were offered ice cold teas in account of the warm weather and the lobby also had a selection of crisps and fresh fruit juices which you could help yourself too. The single elevator isn't always working in which case you will have no choice but to ascend the stairs which have a tendency to provide your legs with a strenuous workout. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay including desk, chair and a tv on the wall in the corner. The bathroom was adequate with both a bath tub and shower within that. Complimentary toiletries were also provided Our stay also included breakfast which was a mixed bag. The Breakfast area is split into 2 small rooms, with the main room with all the food, and then a secondary room just behind which provides additional seating. The selection is somewhat limited with a limited choice of cold meats, cheeses and a bowl with some fruit in. The highlight for me was the scrambled eggs which were certainly amongst the better scrambled eggs I've had for breakfast. The other highlight was the fresh baguettes, croissants and pan au chocolats – but only whilst they were still warm. So a lot depends on your timing, if you happen to be there when they top them up, then you will get to experience some amazing fresh warm croissants/ baguettes. The tea coffee was also pretty average and there is an orange juice machine which I never used. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for any type of stay in Nice, primarily for its fantastic location - being on the main shopping street in Nice, a 10 minute walk to the water front and old town areas, and just a 5 minute walk to the world famous Mama Bakery.

"Nice hotel in convenient central location"
cityspotterUk, 19 Avril 2018

We stayed for three nights this week at the Best Western New York, Nice. The hotel is very clean and tidy and nicely decorated throughout. We had a large corner room on the fourth floor which opened on to a wrap around balcony. Good facilities provided included television and fridge and a large bathroom with shower over the bath. The breakfast room was very bright and the food and service were excellent. The Hotel had a very small lounge off the ground floor reception. Great value and would recommend.

"City Break in Nice"
WeeH212, 09 Avril 2018

Hotel in a central location, easy walk to the promenade, shops, railway station and bus stops. Good clean hotel, comfortable bed, staff excellent manner and very helpful, plenty to eat at breakfast. Would recommend.

"Another great stay "
Nomoreicecream, 03 Avril 2018

Back in Nice and enjoyed another great stay at the Hotel New York located right in the heart of the city. Clean, efficient and welcoming. Utterly painless :-) it's a must ! We will be back ! I recommend too the ‘ Restaurant Du Gesu' in the old city. A good selection of local dishes .

"A lovely, friendly, efficient hotel"
Sarah_S_12740, 23 Février 2018

We stayed for 5 nights in February and what a lovely greeting we had. Such friendly, professional staff. Alexandro was a life saviour and leant me a travel plug to charge all my electronics. Lovely music playing in reception, brilliant position in the High Street and a lovely balcony on the side where the sun rose. Excellent, brilliantly organised breakfast and a very comfy bed - great value for money. thank you

"Recommend to stay"
25Mimi25, 06 Février 2018

We were staying in this hotel for a romantic weekend. And now we are very happy about our room which was on a 4th floor, with a balcony and outstanding view behind the window. The staff was very friendly (a huge compliment for receptionst Alexander:) Located in the center of Nice. Come, stay and spend a good days:)

"A Great Hotel"
margareth700, 30 Janvier 2018

This is a great hotel, pleasantly situated on the corner of Avenue du Maréchal Foch and Avenue Jean Médecin the main shopping street . The hotel is well managed and in good order throughout. Our Superior room on the corner of the fourth floor was really spacious with three large windows, one with full balcony and two with Juliet balconies and had great views overlooking the main street and the Basilica of Notre-Dame. Surprisingly there were two hairdryers, one in the bathroom, and one in the bedroom together with a pair of hair straighteners in a vanity unit with mirror, very handy. There is a 24 hour reception service with friendly staff who speak excellent English. All the staff here are very friendly, professional and attentive. The breakfasts were splendid, full continental breakfasts with different varieties of cheeses, hams, salad, yoghurts, cereal and hard boiled eggs, in fact everything you could wish for. Hot food consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. Different types of breads, croissants and rolls, all warm and fresh and replenished regularly. The choice of fresh fruit platters and bowls were another bonus. The machines dispensing fruit juices and coffees supplied excellent quality beverages. In fact the whole breakfast was of excellent quality. The Wi-Fi connection was very good throughout our two week stay. The railway station is close by as is Place Masséna and the Promenade des Anglais. There is a large Monoprix across the road and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. An ideal hotel for exploring Nice and the surrounding areas.

"Nice hotel - but needs more consistent WIFI "
Diane K, 27 Janvier 2018

The room and bed were comfortable. Breakfast was very good with great croissants - along with eggs and fruit. The one thing that spoiled the experience for us was that the WIFI would be up one minute and down the next. It was quite frustrating.

"Excellent services and very considerate."
Nareeporn W, 23 Janvier 2018

I forgot 2,xxx eur in the hotel safe box on this new year trip !! I found out after flew out to Paris. When I called back to hotel, I was impressed from the first response. I was assured from all staff, from the front to the manger-Stephane that they could help me resolve this problem. During the process, the follow-up emails kept coming, they never missed to answer any single question. BRAVO !! Now I get back everything safe. Highest Courtesy & Conduct Team.

"Great price, but very basic and tiny rooms"
bramble08, 22 Janvier 2018

The hotel is pretty average, but then again the price is exceptionally cheap and a good base to explore Nice. My room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the road and was very bright and noisy, as there were no black-out curtains and the windows were not able to stop the noise of the traffic. The room was tiny, hardly enough room to walk around the bed, however it was clean with all the necessary amenities. Unbelievably, the bar at this hotel does not serve alcohol, and is limited only to a small range of soft drinks and coffee. The reception staff are also responsible for the bar, so it was difficult even to get served a coffee, we had to wait forever until they had finished checking in several other guests. Unlikely to return as the room was just too small to be comfortable.

"Great!!"
Tamara T, 13 Janvier 2018

Great value for money. Excellent location near the airport, shops, shopping centers, main streets, restaurants, train station, tourist. Comfortable rooms and good buffet breakfast. Above all, the kindness, helpfulness of the staff, particularly the Brazilian guy Alex

"Great!"
Catalina T, 09 Janvier 2018

I adored this hotel, the price, the location, the attention... everything... is very good for what you pay and it even has charm. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Have to clarify that our objective was to find a hotel where to sleep comfortable and have breakfast.

"Best Western New York"
Abnormal Q, 02 Décembre 2017

Wow this is a Best Western??? It blew my expectations out the window and into the nice balcony our room had! What a great view of the Promenade st of Nice! The room had a lot of character, almost like getting a prime location with Airbnb but better because you have clean towels and 24 hour staff. The room had a king size bed and a twin bed. We didn't book a suite or anything so we were surprised on how spacious and luxurious the room was. We had two restrooms too! Speaking of staff, the employees were all so friendly and more importantly, accommodating. Our flight from Rome to Nice got cancelled and we were worried about paying for a night when we weren't there on top of cancelation fees. We called the hotel and they changed our booking from 2 nights to one night and waived the cancellation fee. Who does that??? Staff answered all of our questions and reassured us every step of the way. The customer service is superb, I don't even know why French people have a reputation for being rude. It's totally not the case, at least with the staff here. The breakfast was amaze balls. I wish I had photos of the food but I was busy eating it all up. The fruit was fresh and not canned. The croissants were freshly baked. It was flaky and buttery heaven! The baguettes came out piping hot and you can cut it yourself on a board. The coffee machine made like 8 kinds of espresso, cappuccino, and lattes. I had the white cappuccino and it was foamy, milky, and strong. Much better quality than Starbucks. The experience made me feel like I was staying at a five star hotel. I wish our flight wasn't canceled so we could have enjoyed our stay longer. When traveling to Nice, make sure to book this Best Western. It was about 60 euros a night in November!! What a deal!

"Nice all rounder"
BTCLondon, 25 Novembre 2017

Located in the heart of Nice, off the main shopping street. Minutes walk to tram, bus and train links. Easy to get to all the main attractions of Nice from the Hotel by foot. Check in was fast and friendly. Room modern, spotlessly clean and plenty of room. Beds comfortable, coffee and tea provided. Breakfast typical of European continental styles and plenty on offer. Friendly staff and a very pleasant stay in a well run, well located and very reasonably priced hotel. I would stay here again and happy to recommend.

"Nice Address "
M00nTraveller, 23 Novembre 2017

This hotel sits right on one of the main roads in the heart of the city you can drop down, shop, walk to the sea, find a restaurant at your door and retire to a comfortable, spacious clean room. Staff were friendly and helpful and there was some limited parking if you have a small car. Would definitely stay here again.

"Great Hotel."
kshitijraina, 03 Novembre 2017

The hotel is at the epicenter of Nice. The location of the hotel itself overlooking the Avenue Jean Medecin road. All the famous landmarks are walking distance away including the public transport and rail network. The room were big and clean with all the basic amenities required. The room we were staying was at the corner providing us a great view of the entire road. A decent spread of breakfast. Extremely warm and friendly staff who always their to help. Would definitely stay again. Great job.

"Great Location"
maxine o, 10 Octobre 2017

This small but perfectly formed hotel is in a great location for exploring nice and surrounding area. On arrival was made to feel welcome and was allocated our room on the fourth floor to the front of the hotel . Our room had full length windows with shutters that opened on to a small balcony the sun shone on the balcony most of the day and the views across the roof tops were beautiful. Although the New York does not have a lounge bar there are plenty of places close bye to enjoy a glass or two of wine. The reception staff were always willing to give information on the surrounding area and the chambermaids were efficient and did a great job of keeping our room clean . Thank you BWNY for making our trip to nice one to remember .

"Convenient, but cramped and noisy"
BRmovingon, 09 Octobre 2017

Plus: Good location, convenient to restaurants, tram. Very friendly, helpful front desk staff. Minus: Cramped room for two people. Convenient location means it is noisy: tram, garbage pickup, business deliveries. Also could hear neighboring room making telephone calls in the middle of the night. No refrigerator or microwave. Wifi -- slow, plus you need to sign in every time (not just every day) you use it. Average chain hotel breakfast.

"Good location"
User, 01 Octobre 2017

Very good location, nice, clean rooms. The staff was very kind. The hotel is in the town center that's why a little loud in the night when the window was opened. The tram station is in 5 minutes, good restaurants are next the hotel.

"Comfortable stay in central location "
Paula245, 20 Septembre 2017

The hotel is located around ten minutes walk from both the train station and Promenade des Anglais, making it a good base for exploring Nice. Our room was on the second floor (there's a lift), with two beds, desk with kettle, cups and tea and coffee selection, small wardrobe, safe and flat screen TV (French, Italian, Russian, Spanish channels plus BBC World News, Bloomberg and CNN in English). Bathroom had a small bath with an overhead shower (shampoo and hairdryer were provided). The room was small in size but comfortable and was cleaned daily. Staff were all very polite and the cup of tea and sweet treat served to us on arrival was a nice touch. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but one is available, I believe for 12€ per person currently. Location is great, we arrived in Nice by plane and travelled from the airport using bus number 99 to the train station (6 Euro each way) and then walked to the hotel (very straightforward). Right next door there's a Monoprix supermarket which sells a great selection of food items, including hot dishes to take away, which is useful if you're on a small budget! Being centre of the city there's also a multitude of other shops and restaurants available right on the doorstep. Overall we had a very comfortable stay and would recommend to others.

"Good for our family break in Nice"
Topman1, 18 Septembre 2017

Had 4 nights stay in late July /early August - 2 parents and 3 adult 'children' Good location for easy walking distance to main station and exploring Nice highlights There are tram stops close by so if you dont want to walk then only 2 stops to main promenade (de Anglais) The hotel is located in main shopping areas with plenty of eating places around Our two rooms were on the third floor decent enough size and comfortable - we had an air conditioning problem in one room but this was resolved Small reception area / small lounge area Staff friendly and helpful We enjoyed: Old town Nice Promenade Mont Boron (hill overlooking the bay of Nice) Short train train trip to Monaco - with nice views of the sea /coast for part of trip Hop on hop off bus trip about 21 euros each - we took the opportunity to drop off at Villefranche Sur Mer - lovely seaside area and very interesting Film museum Further train trip to Eze - beautiful hill top town and botanical garden with spectacular views over the bay You need to get off train at Villefranche sur mer then wait for bus to take you to village or you can hike up a very hilly track which takes about 45 mins and not for the feint hearted

"Good location"
TimetogoSue, 12 Septembre 2017

Only a short walk from the Nice Ville train station and a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. Surrounded by many shops and restaurants. It is also a leisurely walk to the Castle Hill lookout area. We had a Superior Double room which was at the back of the hotel and looked out to the adjoining buildings. The tram stop was at the front of the hotel. We were awoken in the morning either by the tram or the garbage trucks, so just as well our room was further away from the noise. WiFi was included, but you needed to log in each time you used it. We had breakfast at the hotel which catered well. They had fruit, cereal, scrambled eggs, bacon, pastries, etc. Very enjoyable way to start the day! I would stay here again if I was lucky enough to return to Nice.

"Great staff, excellent value"
SteveWharfedale, 11 Septembre 2017

Stayed here for a short notice, impromptu, three night break in September 2017. The hotel is in a great location for exploring this extremely interesting city, Close to the tram stop, kind within easy walk of the beach. My room was more than satisfactory, quiet and comfortable, the Continental style breakfast more than adequate, and the rate charged extremely good value for money. But the icing on the cake was the truly excellent staff on reception. I encountered a problem between the airport terminal and arriving at the hotel, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful in trying to resolve the situation which needed local knowledge of the airport, the taxi company and French! I find that Best Western standards fully meet my own needs, and I was delighted with my choice here.

"Great location and brilliant staff"
tiggie_12, 11 Septembre 2017

The hotel is ideally located, easy walking distance to the beach and restuarants. The staff were always polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything you needed with the addition of a fridge. Our room was at the side of the building but had large opening window and excellent air conditioning. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if I go back to Nice.

"Great location, decent hotel"
Lesandra2013, 07 Septembre 2017

I stayed here 2 weeks ago and the best thing about this hotel is the location. It is right in the Main Street and 2 mins walk away from the metro station. There is a big supermarket opposite the hotel and lots of bars, restaurants and shops just 2 mins walk away. The room was a bit cramped and the bathroom a bit dated (I stayed in a double room on the 2nd floor). The bed was comfortable. For one person the space was just enough but not sure there would be sufficient space for more! The staff were very friendly and helpful

"Amazing location "
Dr. Preeti j, 31 Août 2017

This hotel was really nice. It's walking distance from the train station and also hardly 5 mins walk from the metro station. The rooms are good and neat and tidy. The staff is helpful and nice. They upgraded us in a better room without charging us extra and the view from our room was amazing. Also all the cafe and restaurant , clothes and other shops are just next to the hotel so I would suggest you to go for this hotel. Reasonably priced as well.

"Stay"
Richardsomerville80, 29 Août 2017

This hotel is great stayed 3 nights 26th to 29 August. Fantastic staff on arrival very welcoming, hotel is very clean and tidy room was excellent had no problem with sleeping, right on Main Street in nice which I enjoy as close to many shops bars & restaurants, Sarah was fantastic on my last stay here she sorted my transfer which I pre booked myself & was late thanks to her I made my plane home, thanked her this time for it. Also Sandra & charlotte on this visit were great aswell, most definitely would recommend a stay here. Will visit again at some point.

"Theft at hotel"
hardipdhaliwal2017, 20 Août 2017

Whilst staying at this hotel - I was robbed in the lift by a couple who was allowed to enter the premises at 3am without a key card and not stopped by staff to ask if they stayed there. The hotel have advised me because the theft occurred in a 'public' place of the hotel and not in my room they cannot cover the cost of the stolen item (Iphone 7 plus). They also have not offered to refund me any of my stay even though I couldn't stay in the hotel for the remaining 2 nights as I was on my own. Would definitely choose a more secure hotel to stay at.

"Great location with very friendly staff"
Hotel_Kia_Ora, 26 Juillet 2017

A very nice hotel hotel in the center of Nice. The rooms are very nice and have been recently renovated. The staff is very friendly and the General Manager is always there to welcome his guests. The location is perfect - right on the main strip of Nice. The breakfast buffet is plentiful. We will definitely return to this hotel. Merci beaucoup !

"Excellent location, helpful staff, maybe a little overpriced"
Giannis36, 23 Juillet 2017

I stayed in a single room for four nights (4-8 of July). Excellent location, right in the middle of Jean Medicin Avenue (Nice main street), halfway between the railway station (where there is a shuttle bus to the airport) and the Promenade des Anglais. Shops and supermarket just round the corner. Professional staff, cleanliness was good, wifi worked properly and there was a wide choice of English-speaking channels on TV. The room was quite cramped, but i managed to get around since i was alone. However, space in the bathroom was good enough. A minibar would be an essential addition for longer stays, although staff helped me to keep some water cool in the hotel's kitchen fridge. I can't have an opinion about breakfast, since that was not included in the price. As a conclusion, i can surely recommend the hotel for leisure visitors, although at the price of 110 euros per night, i think it was a little overpriced, but i doubt if anything like this in Nice at this time period would be sold significantly cheaper.

"Good location for the price"
Jasmine1994, 03 Juillet 2017

This hotel was within our budget. We caught the train from Barcelona to Nice Ville station and walked to the hotel which only took us about 10 mins. It is very close to the main street of Nice and the beach is close as well.

"Great hotel in the city center of Nice"
Andreas H, 19 Juin 2017

We really can recommend this hotel in all aspects. Very nice and helpful staff, in particular we have to mention a front desk lady called Yousra, who was extremely friendly, professional and courteous. She really made us feel at home and deserves 100 out of 100 points for hospitality. The interior was very elegant and stylish, the rooms have recently been renovated. The hotel is ideally situated near the old city and the other hot spots in Nice. The hotel should have 4 stars instead of three stars.

"An excellent location and reasonable prize"
ToMiTu, 12 Juin 2017

We spent two nights in this hotel. When we arrived to reception they offered us completely different prize than we were just checking by page booking.com. When we mentioned from this thing the prize low. We got the room fourth floor with balcony. The room was small and clean. Even if we are fourth floor the traffic noise was surprisingly loud. But the location was so good that maybe this was understanable.

"Beware"
Punkinchunkin, 10 Juin 2017

Hotel is extremely noisy. Garbage collections, tram, deliveries, revelers all night. You will need ear plugs to sleep. Dirty rooms. 2 pluses: young ladies at reception are terrific and good location. There are better places to stay.

"Perfect location - 3 star"
Coastalrider, 03 Juin 2017

This hotel have perfect central location, right at the Boulevard Victor Hugo, with shopping and restaurants around the corner. Staff were very service minded and super positive and helpful. The hotel is partly old fashioned, carpets on the room floors and old bathroom. But, with aircondition and good beds it is good for weekend shoppers. The city tram passes outside the building and some noise can be heard. In general positive since the personnel was great, 4,5 star to the girls at reception and 2,5 for the hotel makes it an average 3.

"Too Small"
peter561006, 23 Mai 2017

Although the room was clean, the staff friendly and accommodating, it was just too small. The bed took up the whole room. My wife and I could not both move in the room at the same time. Aside from this, it was ok. It was in a decent location. The walk to the centre of the city was about 10 blocks. It was not terribly convenient to anything, nor was it terribly far from things. Since we were with a group and a coach took us to sights in and around the area, the location was not as much of an issue. Breakfast was adequate. I would not recommend this hotel as I believe there are better places to stay.

"Comfy stay in a great location"
Maree99, 18 Mai 2017

Comfortable stay in this cosy hotel situated in the main shopping area on rue Jean du Medicine. Staff very helpful & multilingual. Small Lift to 4th floor. Very comfortable bed with beautiful views of the cathedral from the shuttered windows of our room. Great breakfast with hot & cold selection - flaky croissants & cappucino machine were my favourite. It is an easy 10 mins walk to beachfront promenade or in opposite direction to the train station (or catch the tram outside instead). Monoprix (supermarket) opposite - so handy to get essential supplies of cheese & wine.

"A good hotel and an excellent breakfast"
Joly78000, 13 Mai 2017

- Welcome and check in process was nicely done: welcome drink upon arrival, efficient check in process by the reception clerk. - A staff helped us with our luggage, elevator is narrow, only two or three persons can fit in. - Common areas are clean. - Open parking lot (only six tiny places) is narrow, but it's a plus if you are lucky enough to park your vehicle there. The hotel charges daily during the night, no reservation possible. - Bedroom is big enough, but bathroom does not match the actual standards: narrow bathroom, bathtub (a shower would be better), small washbasin, lack of shelves. - No slippers, toothbrush provided: minimum toiletries items provided. The dispenser for shower gel / shampoo product (2 products in 1) is surprising in a 3 star hotel. Proper shampoo and shower gel should be provided in individual containers. - Few toiletries items are available on request (as indicated into room directory) but basic items like cotton buds should be available in the bathroom upon guest arrival. - Bedroom is clean, tea and coffee provided. WiFi connection system can be troublesome : sometimes need to sign in again through BestWestern network management system. - Even on the 5th floor, the early delivery to the bar / restaurant nearby is troublesome. Better insulated windows are needed. - Good location, near the tramway, shops, cafés, restaurants and few meters from Monoprix. - Reception staff helped us organize our visits in Nice and around the city. - Excellent breakfast : good coffee quality, large choice of coffee drinks, tea, chocolate ... Hot dishes are Ok, good bread and fresh Danish pastries. Nice to have some local specialties available (olives, lemon and orange jam...). One shortcoming are the fruits offer: too limited (only one or two types available every day). Only one waiter seems to work there, but does a good job. It may be not enough staff to ensure a good service. The dining room is a bit small, but having two hot drink machines is very positive.

This is a very clean hotel & staff are helpful & welcoming, right on main stretch in nice right next to team stops & the shopping hub. 5 minute walk to the train station which is a plus , stayed a few times in this hotel. Great value the room I had a safe which is a bonus

"Best Staff Ever!"
Mike B, 21 Avril 2017

Super NICE employees!!! Had to have train tickets printed off and they were very friendly and happy to help me. Great French staff. The people are the most important part of any visit, they make it a great place!

"Excellent !"
JonathanRowe, 10 Avril 2017

This is a very good hotel situated in a fabulous position on Nice's main shopping street and 10 minutes' walk from the train station or 15 from the sea front. Very nice rooms, nice lounge area, friendly staff and an excellent buffet breakfast. The scambled egg was fabulous ! What's not to like ?

"Next the main shopping street (bit noisy...but otherwise nice)"
Pille M, 03 Avril 2017

Rooms that face the street Marechal Foch are quiet (but not to main street), breakfast rich enough and rooms are very clean and modern. Location- good. Staff friendly. The general impression was comfortable and cozy.

"GREAT LOCATION - GREAT STAFF"
derk1234, 02 Avril 2017

Located near the tram stop on Jean Medicin, it is in easy walking distance of the Station where the airport shuttle 99 bus stops and a stroll to the beach, Old Town and shops galore nearby. We had an early flight so our luggage was stored securely until check-in whilst we explored the area. The staff are friendly, efficient, speak excellent English and are very helpful. If I had to pick one out Christelle was a star. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices of bread, croissants, cheese, fruits and meats. Although the hotel does not have a bar or restaurant the surrounding area has a good variety, so this was not a problem. The provision of a kettle and hospitality tray was very welcome. An excellent choice for my wife, myself and our friends to have a great city break.

"Nice Kid/baby friendly hotel ( top location)"
JohnChun, 17 Mars 2017

Nice people, baby bed included .Clean and tidy. Next to a big supermarket. City center 5 min walk to station, nex to a big shopping street,10-15 to the beach old town market. I do miss a fridge in the room for cool drinks and the elavator is realy small.

This hotel is in a very good location for the beach, shops and train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially when asking about trains to Monte Carlo and Cannes. Our room is very clean, spacious and had the welcome addition of a kettle along with tea, coffee etc., Would stay here again when next in Nice.

Very Friendly and so helpful staffs. Couldn't imagine better than this, they were perfect in the matter of customer service. Good location with access to everything around. Clean and comfortable rooms.

"Excellent location, good standard."
Karina H, 23 Janvier 2017

I've stayed 2 night in Best Western New York. Very good location, in centre of Nice, very close to all attraction. Room was clean, very comfortable bed, air conditioning - winter time hitting. Breakfast on basic b&b standard, but tasty (warm croissant) Hotel got limited car park space (6 cars) charge 14€ per 24h which is not to bad to compare with other public car park. Just is little challenge to squeeze the car. :) I recommend highly New York in Nice.

"Decent hotel for family holiday with excellent location."
Pradeepk123, 23 Janvier 2017

Hotel was neither too good nor too bad. It was okay okay types. However, the location & reception staff was excellent. Room was average and bathroom was small as compared to other hotels. Hotel is located in the heart of the city. Tram is right in front of the hotel. It only takes around 5-7 minutes to walk to the beach. There are plenty of food options such as KFC, McDonalds, etc. There is one good Indian restaurant nearby in the name of "Shalimar" which is again 5 minutes away from the hotel.

"Excellent stay!"
Cary C, 16 Novembre 2016

Very friendly staff and great location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Walking distance from the train station as well as to the beach, old town, and castle hill. Also in the middle of the main street.

"2nd stay. Good value for money. "
User, 16 Novembre 2016

Stayed last year and stayed again for 6 nights. Location central on corner of main street on tram line. Easy 10 min stroll from Nice railway station and easy walk to shopping/ beach/Promenade Anglais. Refurbishments have been done since last stay. Shower over bath. Bathroom could be updated but very clean. Coffee making facilities in room. bed comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Good coffee machine. Staff delightful & very helpful with information re.area/transport etc.English excellent. Easy to get to Cannes, Monte Carlo via regional train. Inexpensive. Petit Train in Nice is good value & takes you up to Castle-fantastic view of Nice.1 hour long trip.

"Great location"
AusTravellers7, 15 Novembre 2016

This is an older hotel and a little tired. However an excellent package. Fantastic location, can walk anywhere. Staff very pleasant. Hotel is kept very clean and the beds comfortable. In context hard to beat.

"Excellent value & great location."
jainsusan1960, 01 Novembre 2016

We found the hotel online at a very reasonable price for central Nice, so we went in to register & were given a slightly higher price, the charming receptionists offered to match the online price & to include breakfast! We had a room at the front with a balcony (ear plugs necessary) We would certainly recommend this hotel & would happily stay there again!

"tour. called countryside and Povance"

Room okay balcony over looking the main avenue. Staff brilliant could not fault them. 10 min. walk to the beach. the land train is a good way to see parts of Nice. the old town is worth a good stroll around.

"Good value accommodation in the heart of Nice"
laney85, 23 Octobre 2016

Stayed here for six nights recently in a standard twin room. Hotel lobby is small and the lift is very small also. Lobby is nicely decorated and staff were always friendly and helpful. Our room was small but it was adequate and was always cleaned very well. The interior of the room I was in could benefit from updating. The bed felt new and comfortable however the other furniture including desk mirror and chair were old and tired. Carpet was a dark brown colour also which could do with modernising. Sound proofing between other rooms and the corridor was not very good but it is an old building and I did not mind. As this hotel is just off the main shopping street in Nice I would recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. In general a comfortable and friendly hotel. Very good value for the money paid. Breakfast also was very good , especially the eggs and croissants. Would stay here again if on a budget .

"Ok for the money"
traceygoulding77, 17 Octobre 2016

Hotel in a fairly good location being halfway between seafront and train station ( still a bit of a walk after an evening out in Old Town) Upon arrival reception staff were very welcoming and spoke good English which was a good start, but looking around- the lobby area was very small with just a sofa and chairs with the exception of a small side lounge which also had a couple of sofas which were too low to the ground to sit on. Our bedroom was a bit of a shock as it was in real need of modernisation , the carpet had stains on and the bathroom although clean had seen better days ( don't forget to bring your own hairdryer as the one supplied fitted to the wall is ancient and too hot to actually handle). The tea and coffee making facilities were sparse with no proper milk, just cream (?) for tea, only one teabag and not even a real teaspoon- just a stick ( we had to go to supermarket over the road to buy teabags and Milk) We were very shocked to find that breakfast was going to cost 12.50 euros daily each so decided to give that a miss (if this is a budget hotel then it should be budget price). Having a balcony, it would have been nice to place two chairs out to sit on but the room only had one. Upside was (thankfully) the bed was very comfortable and clean. Unfortunately our weather wasn't great for our 5 day visit and lying on the bed wasn't a great option but we would have been grateful for a nice lounge area to have 'real' tea or coffee. We weren't completely dissatisfied but this just made us realise that essentially you get what you pay for and this hotel is really only budget accommodation, and next time it will be worth paying that little bit more to get a few extras. Despite all this I would recommend to anyone just staying as a base for a night or two.

"Excellent location, Very Well Kept, Efficient and Friendly Staff"
GlenLivet, 17 Octobre 2016

Nice hotel (pun intended) located right on the Tram line to the beach front, shopping areas and Boulevades des Anglais. A MonoPrix grocery store is across the street. Laundromat is within walking distance. The lobby area is on two levels. A good meeting place. A small elevator (4 floors), but stairs are wide and easily walked. Friendly staff, manager was attentive. He met us upon arrival and when we left. Rooms are OK, by European standards. Bed comfortable. Our room had a small desk. There was in-room coffee, free internet which was fairly fast and easy to get to. (no password). The bathroom was fine. Room service was OK, but they did fail to resupply all of the coffee supplies. We had small balcony overlooking the front on the hotel (3rd floor). Air conditioning and air circulation was good. An excellent hotel for visiting Nice.

"Nice Hotel"

Stayed here for my 4th time now and is improving every time I come back. Staff are very nice and friendly and good at what they do. The beds are new and are very comfortable and there is tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. Close to Promenade de Anglaise, old town and the port. As a single traveller always feel safe.

"Nice in Nice(FR)"
ted d, 12 Octobre 2016

Travelers bound for Nice, the Riviera city on the Mediteranean, need to book a room here. The 50 room hotel is located on a corner facing the busy, auto -free Avenue Medecin, whose broad lanes host a steady stream of trams, which can take you to the awesome Promenade des Anglais,a palm studded multi lane beachside boulevard which runs several miles. The hotel has rooms with balconies on the upper floors,(3,4) and high ceilings. Some have refrigerators, but no desk. The rooms seem large for a typical European hotel. Prices vary due to season and day,but can be in the 100-150 euro range, which includes a nice breakfast buffet. The location is next to a large supermarket, and department store, and on the side streets are many shops and cafes. A short walk will bring you to the memorial set up for the victims of the truck terrorist, who mowed down 84 people on the Promenade last May. It is moving with hundreds of teddy bears, flowers and remembrances. The hotel has a lounge with a computer, newspapers in the small lobby and can park 6 cars in front of the entrance. The staff is helpful. The elevator is very small, two with luggage is the max,but any delays are short, unless a tour group has checked in.With a good location, clean reasonable rooms, make this your Nice base of operations.

This was a good hotel stayed 5 nights in July 2016 , great staff rooms were clean. Great location on Main Street 5 minutes walk to train station, very good rates as well would stay here again, location is great to access what you require, restaurants are plenty & great for shopping as well

"Great hotel"
Håkan C, 07 Octobre 2016

It's that simple. It's a great hotel with great staff in a great location in the center of Nice. Clean and fresh, nice friendly staff (and they speak great english!), and the Internet work great. We serve breakfast but we didn't try it. We will be back next time in Nice.

"OK location, close to old city, but construction behind the hotel starts at 0630"
Gus B, 02 Octobre 2016

The hotel is modest, 3-person elevator, adequate breakfast, pleasant staff at the desk. The biggest problem is that there is building renovation immediately behind the hotel that started, loudly, between 0600 and 0630 weekdays. Rooms on the road side were noisy from traffic despite double-glazed windows. Best suitable for budget travelers who bring silicone ear plugs.

"Perfect location"
stursv, 01 Octobre 2016

My wife and I stayed for three nights and were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is ideally placed to the shops and only a short walk to the old town, beach and restaurants. The manager and his staff are great and extremely helpful, recommending where to visit. Breakfast was very nice with a large selection and variety, well stocked and fresh. The room was nice and clean and quiet considering its close proximity to the high street.

"Ideally placed"
Dennis Y, 20 Septembre 2016

2minute walk from station don't get a taxi rip off 15€ first mistake made. Hotel clean and comfortable. Staff excellent especially Elena she seem to be their when ever we walked through reception. Breakfast not extensive but adequate although there seemed a lack of English breakfast tea both in the restaurant and in the room. On Main Street well placed for shops and bars/restaurants.

"Clean, convenient and friendly hotel"
Louise365, 14 Septembre 2016

We stayed at the New York late in August for a short break. It's in an ideal location, being a short walk from the old town and from the station. The rooms are a bit small but are about right for the price and location. The staff were really helpful and friendly and arranged an airport shuttle for us for a reasonable rate. They speak very good English!

"Good location."
jimandev, 13 Septembre 2016

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights on a B&B basis and have no complaints at all - except 1 - later! Staff were all very helpful and nothing was any bother. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh and kept well stocked so there were no shortages, and rooms were clean and comfortable. Although it is well situated in a busy area we did not experience any noise problems at all. Only complaint is having to pay 14 euros per night for parking. In my opinion parking should be free for residents.

"Good value for the price paid!"
NB4554, 04 Septembre 2016

- central location, directly on the main shopping street and just 5 minutes walking distance to the train station, tram stop is also only a few minutes away - very nice staff, extremely friendly & helpful, provided us with information and bus schedules - wifi is available free of charge in the hotel although we did not have great access to it in our room, in the lobby it worked perfectly fine - 6 parking spots available, so make sure to mention it before arriving there as the parking was often full - room was relatively small but enough for a couple of days of vacation, we even had a balcony which was great as we could enjoy the nice view in the mornings and evenings - rooms were cleaned quickly & we were happy with it, not 100% clean everywhere (some dust in the bathroom, etc) but for the price it was really okay - so good value-price ratio!

"Perfect location"
BarbaraMills, 30 Août 2016

Stayed here whilst exploring the area round Nice. The location is perfect as it is near the train station and you can get a tram to the bus station from right outside the door. All the staff were pleasant and helpful when asking questions. The rooms and bathrooms are small but functional with comfortable beds. The air conditioning is old and not that effective but was very welcome non the less. Previous reviews have complained about noise but we were just on the corner from the Main Street and I, who usually can't sleep unless it's silent, had no bother at all with the noise and slept really well. Breakfast was all you could want and the scrambled eggs were the best we have ever tasted. Everywhere was spotlessly clean - apart from our balcony which contained 2 rather large toe nail cuttings from the last occupant. They remained there for the 5 day duration of our visit which is not so good, hence only the 4 stars. Overall this hotel was good for a 3 star and great for a place to stay in Nice.

"Great staff and location"
dekko11, 30 Août 2016

Great location in Nice, neart the train station and walking distance to mais spots as plazas, Nicetoile Shopping, Old City, famous brand stores and beach Promenade des anglais. Staff is very helpfull and polite. Breakfast is on average, not bad. Rooms are very comfortable with huge bathrooms. I really recommend this hotel.

"Attention to detail is very apparent in the hotel"
dandyt873, 28 Août 2016

Have just returned from a 9 night stay at the hotel with my wife. The hotel is excellently situated in the city centre and is yet only a few minutes walk from beaches and the Promenade des Anglais. The hotel is very well appointed and the staff are all very friendly and efficient.Breakfast is all that one could ask for - a wide choice of attractive and appetising food.Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we cannot praise them too highly. The hotel was spotless and very comfortable(the air conditioning was much appreciated as the weather was very hot). Our room was spacious and with a balcony that gave a good view onto the main streets but it was not at all noisy thanks to the double glazing. We shall most certainly return.

"Quiet, clean and comfortable"

This hotel was excellent value for the money. We had a nice balcony and the tram line close at hand will take you anywhere you want to go. The included breakfast was excellent and staff were efficient and friendly.

"Great rooms at a good price"
Lt_Shade, 22 Août 2016

I stayed here with a group of friends during our interrailing trip. The hotel is nicely between the Station and the beach/Old Town. The staff were incredibly friendly and spoke very good English. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and nicely presented. Breakfast was good even if the range isn't huge. The hotel is very quite with it just been of the main street.

"Excellent Location"
hurricane999, 21 Août 2016

We stayed here in August and mainly for the price and location. The hotel is situated approx 3-4minute walk from the large shopping centre "Nice Etoile", where you will find lots of brand name stores such as Hollister, C&A, Starbucks L'Occitaine and many more. However, the staff knowledge on the front desk leads a lot to be desired. We asked about the best way to travel to different places and a lot of the time, it would end up in a debate between the two receptionists, then when we interrupted with our idea (after looking up Google), they all agreed with us. As a man, travelling light, I wanted to avail of the complementary shaving kit, so I asked the receptionist and he said that he didn't know what they were and to ask again in the morning. I eventually got it after that third morning when I asked someone else. After a long day of shopping, sightseeing or sunbathing, it would be nice to come back to up your hotel and go in to the bar for a drink before bed....this hotel does not offer this facility. Yes, they do have a bar area but all that's in it, is a basket of the previous morning croissants, pain au chocolat or bread rolls that didn't happen to be eaten at the morning breakfast. This area never has anyone in attendance. It's obvious that they don't have an alcohol licence . However, It would be nice, if they had something like a tea/coffee machine. It's a wasted amenity and an opportunity for extra revenue for the hotel. The elevator is quite small. It only fits 3 people so it can be a struggle if you have luggage. The breakfast area is also quite small. The tables are very close to one another so it's almost impossible to have a private morning conversation with the person that's sitting with you at your table. There are no serving plates left out at breakfast. We had to search in the cabinets ourselves to look for them . The breakfast room is divided into two parts with a dividing door connecting them. But for some reason, there is only food supplied in one of them so this creates a crowd or a queue for food in one room. Some of the time the food would run out and you have have to wait up to 30 minutes for it to be replaced. The food itself wasn't plentiful. There might be only 1 banana for 20-30 guests. On one occasion, I asked if there were any more bananas. The member of staff brought one out in his hand and didn't bother refilling the basket!! Our television wouldn't work in the English speaking channels. When we enquired, the Manager and the receptionist came up to our room for 20 minutes pulling at wires and pressing buttons which was intrusive and unprofessional although we appreciate that they were trying their best to resolve the problem. In the end, they just said we have to call an engineer......this took 3 days!! The parking at the hotel is minimal. There are six places at the front of the hotel...to cater for 50 rooms. The parking, if you are lucky enough to get a place will cost you €14 a day but they do give the option of 3 other venues that are even more expensive. Staff are friendly but any issues are best addressed by contacting the hotel Manager directly Monsieur Stephane d'Halluin. Unlike many hotels I have stayed in, this new Manager of The Best Western, New York, is in almost daily attendance and is eager and willing to resolve any individual issues or grievances. I would give this Manager a score of 5 but for reasons as described above, compared to other hotels I have stayed in, I can only score this hotel 3-4.

"Happy Overall but needs Attention"
Anne B, 21 Août 2016

My son and I stayed in the Best Western New York for 11 nights in August 2016 The hotel's main attraction to guests is its situation in the heart of Nice Etoile's central shopping, dining, sightseeing, beech and is within a 10 minute walk to access transport for exploring outside this beautiful city. The outside of the hotel itself is unimpressive with no seating available if desired and cramped parking facilities for only 6 cars which is not acceptable especially as there's an added charge of €14 per night and a distinct probability that guests may have to resort to nearby car parking lots at an even higher cost per night. Our room was clean but small and sound proofing was inadequate. We could hear noise from the next room when the occupants were quarrelling at 3.30am and woke us up! The air con was barely noticeable by temperature control but was evident in the noise it created especially at night when the tv was off. Tea and coffee facilities were provided but not always replenished and having to ring reception for this was inconvenient and unacceptable. The bathroom was clean and basic but in major need of refurbishment and the corner of our glass shower screen in room 309 had a sharp edge on the bottom right hand corner which I learned to avoid after cutting my hand twice at the start of our stay. Supplied toiletries were basic to extreme with only soap and economy sized shower gels- no complimentary treats as per the usual custom in most hotels of this calibre. On two occasions our basic supplies were not included in the day's cleaning and we had to go to reception to ask for toilet paper and soap, which I found embarrassing and inconvenient. The dining area was small and cramped and at busy times in the mornings we were lining up like kids for our breakfast items. There was a good choice of items but it varied from day to day in supply. On two occasions, at 9am, there were no croissants and we had to wait for 25 minutes for a new batch to cool and be brought out to the baskets. On several mornings there were no bananas and the server would bring out one in his hand and give it to the guest with no plate which was very unprofessional and lazy. There is no toaster "for health & safety reasons" but in most hotels this is not the case and industrial types are available for guests who like toasted items. The best feature and asset to the Best Western New Yew in Nice is its current Manager, Monsieur Stephane d'Halluin with whom we had to meet to address a couple of issues with our own experience during our stay. He was courteous, helpful and apologised for the issues raised and offered us very generous and acceptable gestures of goodwill by way of compensation. We would advise any guest with a particular grievance to ask to speak to this lovely gentleman who will put matters right and provide the reassurance to continue to enjoy a stay at this hotel. We wish him and his staff continued success and very best wishes .

"Recommend highly"
Besttheopetra, 16 Août 2016

This hotel just gets better and better. We have been coming to the Best Western New York in Nice for the past 7 years. The front desk staff are always professional and helpful, the rooms are well appointed, the breakfast has lots of choices and the hotel is well situated close to downtown and public transportation. The new management has made some impressive improvements and we will certainly stay there again in the future. Thank you for another great visit!

"Not a particularly enjoyable experience"
sasha1672, 07 Août 2016

We had never stayed in a Best Western hotel before, even in the UK. However, we probably wouldn't expect to be paying 117 Euros per night (and that was through booking.com - the price of a room if you turn up without a reservation is 200 Euros per night!!) for what can only be described as a room which was tiny, very basic and in desperate need of modernisation. The walls were paper thin and the floor and room shook every time the neighbouring guests moved around their room. The noise from the street outside was terrible and the bathroom was very run down. The air con is very poor and provides little comfort on a hot night. Thank goodness we were only staying for one night before we caught our flight the following day - it's about all we could have beared.

"Sorry to say! but Poor!"
Karl M, 07 Août 2016

On entering, the reception was very nice and the reception staff were wonderful. Sorry but that is really all I have to say that is positive. The room was tiny and sub standard. The toilet was outdated and very basic although clean. No mini bar, safe..etc. All the stuff you expect when paying €200 a night for a Standard Double room. Worst of all was the noise...sorry but no sound proofing. We could hear everything from the room next door! Loud banging ALL night from the corridor! And everything from outside. It was not a pleasant experience staying here.

We pre booked an apartment on line for 6 nights but stayed for the minimum of two only. We felt grossly deceived by the blurb and images of the online ads for the apartment when we checked in and decided to look for alternative accommodation for the remaining 4 nights. Then we discovered Best Western New York on line and decided to check it out physically. Whilst exploring the options with the receptionist we were joined by a very vibrant, helpful and friendly Nella who led us to view several room options. We had a slight hiccup as the room that we decided on taking was available for only 3 of the 4 nights that we wanted so we went to check out another option nearby as well. It turned out that the latter newly renovated hotel was able to accommodate us for the days we wanted for basically the same price but we were so impressed by Nella's professionalism and efficiency that we decided to accept the slight inconvenience of taking the 3 nights that Nella was able to offer us and then move into the other hotel for the fourth night. Bust as it turned out, we were able to stay the full 4 nights at the Best Western New York. We were pleasantly surprised to discover a bit later that Nella was the hotel's manager as she did not at anytime demonstrate any "airs" about her from the word go. On checking in the next morning an equally friendly, helpful and unassuming gentleman welcomed us and physically took our baggage to store in the baggage room for us as our room was not ready for us as yet having come in early. We discovered that he was the Director of the hotel! That's humility and being hands on. The last 4 days experience with the team at the Best Western New York of our 5 weeks holiday across France left us with a lasting and absolutely positive impression of the great service and friendliness that the French were capable of. Good on you. Keep up the great work. Thai & Claire Cheah

"Great location for the train and shopping"
Gordon E, 14 Juillet 2016

We choose this hotel as its about 7 mins from the train station (walking) it's in the middle of the central street in Nice along with all the great shops and a short walk away some lovely restaurants. We had a slight issue with our pre authorisation and our booking had been cancelled, I re booked at a different rate which did not include breakfast. On arrival I queried why the initial booking had been cancelled and it was because I had put one digit wrong on my initial booking. I mentioned this to the reception team in arrival and it was immediately sorted and I was given the original deal. Great service thank you. Our room was large and considering we were on the Main Street pretty quiet. Breakfast was a typically French lots of meats, cheeses, cereals. A great stay at a reasonable price.

"great location "

"Very good location and a fair price"
Hlynur J, 06 Juillet 2016

This hotel is small but it is very clean and at a fantastic location. Very close to all shops, restaurants and only a five ten min walk to the beach. Price is very fair. Love to stop there again Thanks you Hlynur

"Strange smell in the room"
Ilija J, 06 Juillet 2016

When we entered the room we were greeted by a strange smell. Noise from neighboring rooms are very loud. Great location in the centre of Nice. Good for overnight stay. Stuff is attentive. Parking is not for free

"Lovely Hotel"
jackie42, 02 Juillet 2016

Would fully reccomend this hotel, Great location, near all the shops, , right near the tram and only 10-15 walk to main town where you are spoilt for choice for bars and restaurants.Staff were very friendly, cheerful, very helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Would definatley stay here again.

"Nothing but Brilliant "
Daniel C, 23 Juin 2016

Great Location. Central to restaurants and shops and walking distance to nearby hot spots. Tram stop just a couple mins walk away. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend and will be returning on my next visit to Nice!!

"Great position"
Sue B, 17 Juin 2016

This hotel is in a perfect location for everything, trams trains and walking. We had a nice room on the front of the hotel with a small balcony and it was lovely to watch what was happening on the streets as it is a busy area. You can walk to the sea front, fantastic market area with restaurants and great atmosphere, the castle and port. We didn't eat at the hotel as the restaurants and shops are on your doorstep. We loved sitting in the big square at night with street performers and in the day the water fountains are fantastic. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly, especially as we had our wallet stolen outside the airport. But we want to go again to this hotel, we had a great time.

"Vacation"
Christiane C, 10 Juin 2016

Very good location , waking distance of everything, the monoprix is cross street in case you need something to snack.my only complaint is no tittle refregidair , for the price the breakfast should be included

"Pleasant 3 day stay"
Billyboymiff, 09 Juin 2016

This hotel was very nice to stay in for the few days I was in Nice. I chose it for the location an was given a corner room overlooking the Cafe de Lyon. Avenue Jean Medicin is close and the tram too. The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. Even the maid was very kind and had worked there for 30 years!

"Perfect Location"
Chris S, 08 Juin 2016

Spent 4 nights here in late May early June. Perfect location near the main station and on the tram route. Seafront within walking distance along with the old town and main restaurant area. Staff friendly and helpful, free wifi and one of the better continental breakfasts I've had (smoked salmon no less).

"Good quality, but rooms are quite small"
Gediminas S, 05 Juin 2016

Very good location of the hotel, and service and quality are also very good. Although the rooms are small and beds are not that comfortable. Also at check out we had city fee to pay, where no other hotels had it, which is strange.

"Nice location"
Synnove123, 04 Juin 2016

Booked a double room and was set up with a room towards the Main Street, quite a lot of noise with deliveries and service of different companies. The beds are very good, and the room was very clean. I missed a safe in the room as well as a small fridge. Also the wifi was very annoying as you have to log on every time you use your phone or computer. Apart from this the hotel is very centrally located, and ideal for trips around the center. The railway station is just a short walking distance away

"Perfect location "
tamasegriff, 28 Mai 2016

The hotel is situated right on the main shopping street of downtown Nice 15 minutes walk from the old town. So you are right where you wanna be if you are to explore the city. The hotel is decent inside, the rooms are small but the have enough storage place for a short stay. In the room we stayed in the carpets were stained and worn but otherwise there was no problem with hygiene. Breakfast was great with enough choices and a nice location. The only catch of this hotel is the price. We were able to get a room with discount on the Internet booking site but had we gotten no discount the full price would have been prohibitive for us average tourists.

"Great location, friendly staff"
EmmaLeaM, 23 Mai 2016

This hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to the old town and the beach, or you can catch the tram from out the front. Located right on the shopping street and a short walk from the main train station. Staff are very helpful and the rooms are large and very clean. Would highly recommend

"Best location PLUS PLUS"
FASRH, 20 Mai 2016

I stayed there for few days and were one of the best days I had. The great location of this property made my trip joyful. The easy access to the main area in Nice is just a few minutes away. Not only that but also, there were nearby coffee shops and supermarket. Even though there are limited parking spaces, during my trip I had no issues with finding a parking space. Another point, the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The room was worth the amount of money plus, it has a balcony viewing the lovely city. High level of cleanness all over the property. Highly recommended for everyone.

"Best location"
Amalissa, 11 Mai 2016

The location of this hotel is in the heart of Nice and nearby to every destination, shopping, Massena, tram, train station, beach and old town. Very lovely and helpful staff. Nice and clean rooms. I will choose Best western again for my next trip.

"Classic and warm"
Anita E, 02 Mai 2016

We enjoyed 2 nights in this delightful classic hotel with warm and friendly staff. The rooms are delightful and a good size. It is perfectly placed within easy walking distance of the old town, seaside and transport. Be aware there is very limited off street parking at the hotel itself and you may need to park at there nearby parking station. We left our car on the street outside the first night - no charge - and staff advised us by phone the next morning when we were exploring to say a space onsite had become available. This was most helpful. A very good base to explore Nice and surrounding areas of the Riviera. Most enjoyable stay!

"Perfectly Situated"
Chris V, 20 Avril 2016

Right in the middle of the main thoroughfare this 3 star hotel is perfectly situated for bars and shopping. The hotel itself is clean and tidy and has very nice, friendly and helpful staff but perhaps only downfall is poor breakfast.

"good condition"
Abbas M, 10 Avril 2016

staff was polit and helpfull.parking is not free of charge.breakfast room is small and not enough space for sitting.subway station is near.rooms are clean and silent.it is close to a lot of food marts.

"Perfect for a short break!"
AliMonda, 04 Avril 2016

My partner and I stayed here for 4 days in March. I had a BIG birthday while we were there, and the reception staff knew this and we had a lovely room on the 4th floor (room 416) with a huge comfortable king-size bed, french doors, a balcony overlooking the Avenue Jean Medecin (the main shopping street with trams) and the church. I also had a birthday card from the staff! The bathroom was fine, with a great hot shower and fluffy towels/toiletries, with a TV, but limited English channels. The wi-fi is the rooms is very slow. There are tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The only minor flaw, was the very cramped breakfast room, but..the scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon and croissants were delicious with good coffee from the machine but a toasting machine would have been a nice addition. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the rail station, 10 minutes from the Promenade des Anglais and the old town, and there is a Monoprix supermarket opposite..very handy for snacks, water, beer, wine etc! We have been to Nice several times and would DEFINITELY choose to stay here again!

"Nice hoyel close to the Center"
laci73ro, 26 Mars 2016

We spent 3 nights with my wife, ideally located in Nice close to the Gare. Breakfast quite good, ham and cheese, coffe, fresh juice.I recommend to the hotel to put fresh vegetables for the breakfast.I recommend strongly this hotel.

"Good value and a great location"
Greennotcabbage, 21 Mars 2016

We stayed for three nights in February and had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and of a decent size. Bathroom spotlessly clean albeit a little small. Breakfast was perfectly fine but the dining room is small and it can feel a little cramped if it's busy. The location is very good, just off the main shopping street. However, there is a good deal of noise from the street and early in the mornings it is noisy with delivery trucks etc. The train station is about 5 minutes walk away and the old town about 10 minutes away. I would stay again but see if I could get a quieter room.

"If I can save one person"
Timothy S, 19 Mars 2016

Only if best western knew about the way this place is and how its ran. And only if the phrase "Good Location" had feelings they would be hurt! Just a friend here, advising you before a foolish decision is made. First of all look at your luggage bag, it will be comparable to your room size. On many topics listed here, I really would not wish this hotel to anyone and I'm no complainer. Just bringing things into the light for you and the hotel. (like my duty) The people at the front desk are smooth cons taking extra money for a prepaid room. Maybe the best I have met. (I mean really good!) I'm not going to say how they got me, Just focus on the con they have in store for you! Stay away from the 2 hot items for breakfast - Stay alert on paying for anything Prepare and plan your entry of your room- take a bath (shower did not work) wish I took pictures of the mold in bathroom and others 2 airplane pillows (no joke)- there is many more but you may begin to think its personel-and a very noisey street. If 100 people Ignore me and stay here anyway, I have failed to explain it properly But if I could save one person or couple for staying here, both parties got what they deserved and that would make me happy for the hard work in helping you here. I had to advise - Do yourself a favor - stay away

"Very good hideaway"
Jonnyid, 17 Mars 2016

Booked this little beauty cheap last minute & was very pleased with the service. Small issue with room (not hotels fault/booking issue) but the staff went all out to accommodate us & rectified the matter next day. Decent self service breakfast with nice mixture of edibles. Hotel was clean, well kept, rooms were tidy & looked after: staff were friendly, informative & helpful. I'm looking forward to my next visit already !!! ??????

"Great location"
H3121XHantoniop, 14 Mars 2016

Great location, near to the main atractions. It´s possible to Know Nice by walking. The staff are friendly and make your stay pleasant, help you if necessary. (in special - Eder) One day I will be back

"Good location!"
Admira H, 12 Mars 2016

Excellent location. Very easy to find, there is a big super market just across the street. Just a few minutes walk from the trainstation, the Massena square and the shopping. The rooms were quite spacious. They have a big Buddha statue next to the restaurant, it looks sweet.

"Good hotel"
Andrew N, 01 Mars 2016

We stayed at this hotel for a week in February 2016. We had booked one twin and one single. The rooms were comfortable, clean, reasonably spacious ( particularly the single) . and reasonably quiet. Breakfast was acceptable although the choice was rather limited and the breakfast area is quite cramped. The staff were all courteous, friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent, being close to tram stops and we would thoroughly recommend it for anyone seeking good and reasonably priced accommodation in the centre of Nice.

"Excellent location."
Margaret B, 19 Février 2016

This hotel was well situated for all transport links including the 99 Airport bus, though the first bus to the airport is at 08.00.However, it is an express. There are lots of restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets and a big modern shopping centre all within very easy walking distance. The beaches and the old town are quickly reached on foot or via the fabulous and cheap tram system. The hotel airport shuttle was not in use even though it is advertised. The hotel itself was attractive on the outside and functional on the inside. The staff were all helpful and friendly. We had a Superior Double room and it was rather small,as was the bathroom, but both were very clean. If you are on a higher floor, the lift can seem slow and it only holds three people. We did not have any issues with noise either from the street or within the hotel. The breakfasts were just average with little to comment on. We visited in winter and the breakfast room would be small if the hotel were full in the summer. Overall, we have stayed in better Best Western hotels but this cannot be beaten for location.

"One night"
TainaMexx, 09 Février 2016

Nice hotel in the heard of the city. Room was ok, clean. Transportation was not service, althought it is mentioned at the hotel site. Taxi was quite expensive. But location is super, short walking to train station and also for old town. Nice staff.

"Comfortable Stay"
nicola S, 08 Février 2016

Average hotel, comfortable and clean but nothing special. It does what it says on the tin. Bed comfortable, breakfast reasonable for France. Small elevator. Nothing exciting to find in the rooms. Bedroom furniture a little weird and reminds you of a patio set. Clean bathroom. Free WiFi.

"Excellent location, Excellent service"
Faye_JV, 04 Février 2016

This hotel enjoys an excellent location; about 10 minutes by foot from the Train Station, 10 minutes from Promenade des Anglais, right next to a grocery store, a shopping mall, and across the street from the Tram stop. It overlooks the main shopping avenue of the city, where you can even walk after midnight. The staff is nice and very helpful. I booked a Superior Double, and they gave me 416, which is probably the best room of the hotel, being on the 4th floor, having 3 windows, a balcony, and amazing vista. The room and bathroom are spacious, excellent beds and pillows, large LCD tv and closet. There is no mini bar (unfortunately). The breakfast was very good, for a 3-star city hotel, and included: croissants (3 kinds), bread, butter, jams, honey, nutella, salami, ham, cheese (2 kinds), yogurt, fruit salad, scrambled eggs, bacon and GREAT coffee. The breakfast rooms are a bit small, but it all depends on the time you go for breakfast. They refill the trays pretty quickly. There were 6 narrow parking spaces, for I think 14 euro per day. There is a small bar -for coffee only I think- and a computer you can use in the lobby. The wifi wasnt too fast. Overall, it was an excellent choice, and value for money. We traveled at the end of January and paid less than 300 euro for 4 nights (breakfast included) for the Superior Room. I would definitely go back!

"Central and Cozy"
Beetlebabe2013, 26 Janvier 2016

Hotel is so central, It's on the main shopping street, 5 minutes walk to the old town, 10 minutes walk from the train station which gives you great variety of day trips. Staff were very nice and helpful except for one but no complaints. Room was nice, or shall we say quaint with lovely double balcony and shutters.

"Good location but noisy"
Vishc, 20 Janvier 2016

Great location but lots of issues with noise from the street, given its location in a busy area. You can hear every tram, truck and loud person in the street - so bring ear plugs! The location is good for shopping and walking to other parts of town (e.g. Massena Square). Room was clean but I had issues with the card holder falling off a couple of times when I inserted the card in it (to turn on the lights) and another power point was also very loose. Breakfast was average. A couple of things that would have made my stay more pleasant would have been complimentary bottles of water and some body moisturiser and hair conditioner in the bathroom, as all that was provided was soap and shampoo. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows were a little uncomfortable due to the shape (square rather than long). Wifi was provided but was slow. A positive was that Staff were nice and welcoming.

"Shopping headquarter"
Marinebul, 15 Décembre 2015

Me and my family had limited time in nice, because the hotel is close to train station and messana square you do not lose time for visit anywhere in the city. In fact I was worried that our room was on the second floor and this may be a problem for street's notice. But don't worry isolation is good and we had good sleep, and the stuff at reservation desk were always helpful and nice.

"A hotel with a sental location but have very Small rooms and noice from the trafic"
Eirik Magnus B, 25 Novembre 2015

Very helpful resepsjonist. The breakfast is ok. But the room was to little to have a good stay. The hotel is very central. You can walk to the beach and the old town and you have the tram just at the corner of this hotel. The bed is good but occupied most of the space of the room. You have to close the windows due to the trafic noice before going to sleep. The bath have a bathtub.

"Not for the over 50 crowd"
jayhawk73, 09 Novembre 2015

First, the good: this property is in a good location in central Nice. The tram runs on the street outside, making it convenient to go all over the city; but you can hear it from your room if your window is open. The rooms are very clean and well kept, though basic. There's a business center for computer use. There's a Monoprix right across the street for convenient & fun shopping. Breakfast is available. Nice 3-star property. Now let me tell you about some of the adventures my group and I had. I was there with a group of over-50 travelers. Luckily, we were all quite fit and had no serious mobility problems. But I can't recommend this place for anyone who gets a bit stiff first thing in the morning. The tub, as is the norm in France, has very tall sides, making for a big step up to get into it. There is no "grippy" stuff on the tub floor(I slipped one day and had nothing to help me get a purchase). There are no grab bars either. There's a glass half wall, but it swings on a hinge so it's not a safety feature. The bathroom is tiny and difficult to maneuver in, with no counter space by the sink. Amenities are exfoliating soap, pretty nice actually, and a shampoo/body gel. Go to the Monoprix and buy small bottles of shampoo, and conditioner if you use it, body lotion too since none is provided; the gel provided is drying to the skin and made my hair feel dry and gummy. Just my personal experience. If you like to watch TV for news or whatever, the TV is small(my desktop monitor is larger) and anchored up by the ceiling. It has BBC news but no other English programming. I admit I was a bit of a hotel snob here, having come from a beautiful 4-star hotel in Aix-en-Provence. The bed is comfy. There's some street noise until late evening. Use the elevator, it's small but efficient. For some reason, the stairs here are carpeted with a pattern of narrow stripes; my group agreed there's a danger because you can't tell where one step ends and the next begins. Hang on tight and mind the bifocals. So, as with any hotel, there are pluses and minuses; but you should be aware of the safety issues posed for older adults. I heard that someone had mentioned it to the front desk and was told that the hotel doesn't market/cater to seniors. Take this with a grain of salt, as it's hearsay, but it would seem to fit my personal experience here. I can't rate value for money since it was included in the overall tour price.

"location a curse and a merit"
thisisme?ok, 18 Octobre 2015

this is a good choice if you want to spend a day or two in Nice. Location is excellent if you want to be close to the train station, about 10 mins walk, so you can travel to the airport and other nearby cities easily. Close proximity to shops with the usual shops like mono prix, fax, zara, h&m, etc on the door step. didn't try breakfast but there are plenty of choices within a few mins walk ranging from traditional cafes and brasseries to McCafe(good coffee) of McDonalds etc. For the price the hotel was adequate, even though the rooms have not been refurbished for a while, they were very clean with good bed and bedding and an acceptable bathroom. However, the room was very noisy, stayed on a Friday night, I'm not a fussy sleeper but was woken up from street noise a few times, even though I was on the top floor. staff was very friendly

"Nice option in central Nice!"
Eduardo C, 09 Octobre 2015

Nice hotel with great location in Nice: close to the station at a short walk to the beach and old-city. Shops, supermarket, restaurants and tram stop are available around. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and good breakfast! The only negative point is that the acoustic isolation of the rooms are not very good: you can hear movement in the corridor and other rooms, but it didn't get to point to disturbe me at all! Definitely recommend it!

"Great location!"
Diane S, 29 Septembre 2015

I stayed in a balcony room which had beautiful views, would recommend. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and pleasant to talk to and make you feel at home! My room was a little small with a great shower/tub. Still very comfortable. Right across from a corner Cafe and across from a grocery/sundry store. I would stay here again and recommend it to you.

"Uninspiring"
MartinTafft, 29 Septembre 2015

The building is really quite grand and attractive and is in a fantastic central location with easy access to all tourist sites and restaurants. Once through the doors it is not really great though and, for the money, didn't feel like somewhere you'd want to spend more time than necessary. We breakfasted out (which is really easy and more pleasant) to avoid the extremely dull breakfast room and offerings. There's nothing wrong with this hotel, it just doesn't really do anything more than the functional minimum. We had a room on the third floor at the front which meant that we had a balcony which was a pleasant and welcome additional space. The room was supposed to be superior but it's hard to know what you'd have to remove to make is inferior!

"One of the best"
alexanderhogg60, 26 Septembre 2015

It's quite central in Nice in a good location to the train station, trams and Promenade de Anglaise. It is very easy to get around from here and always feel safe even if you are a single traveller. The rooms are nice but if you are a light sleeper it is best to get some earplugs as you may here the trams occasionally. The staff are really nice and helpful. There are restaurants near here. The hotel will be getting modernised very shortly. I do recommend this hotel highly. Try for yourself and find out.

"Everything you want on the Côte d'Azur"
Suzanne D, 11 Septembre 2015

Although perhaps confusingly named after New York, there is nothing "big apple" about this hotel. It is reassuringly French in design, with a beautiful belle epochs facade, and feel. The hotel has a paved courtyard garden entry and a stylish reception and guest bar/lounge adjacent. The front desk staff are helpful, especially Nella, who welcomes people warmly and is helpful with advice about where to go and what to see. The rooms are comfortable, refurbished fairly recently, and decorated with bold fabrics and touches of wrought iron. The bathrooms are modern and a good size. The breakfast, which costs about €8 per person, is very good, offering a good range cereals, bread, croissants, fruit - stewed and fresh, meats and freshly scrambled eggs and fine omelettes. The coffee machine is good and the orange juice is fresh too. The hotel is situated in the city centre, literally a few steps from Avenue Jean Médecin, which runs from the Place Massena up through the center of the city has many of the city's main shopping and department stores. There is a modern tram system on this route and you can buy a ten trip ticket for €10 - very handy. There's a Monoprix ( an upscale supermarket and some) across the street and a wonderful cafe/bar, Le Grand Cafe, diagonally opposite on Avenue Jean Médecin, No matter your interest, whether art, shopping or historic architecture, Nice gives you a range of choices and experiences from the Matisse Museum, Musee d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain (MAMAC), Musée et Sites Archéologiques (behind Matisse Museum, founded by Augustus in 14 BC as the City of Cemenelum), Musée Marc Chagall (there's a free bus between Chagall, Matisse & Archéologiques). For the shoppers, the Nice Etoille is a block away from the hotel and Galleries Nouvelle further down Avenue Jean Médecin, FNAC, an excellent book store also selling CDs, electronics and stationery items, is just around the corner. The Old Town,Vieux Ville, is a short walk or tram ride away, between Ave Jean Jaurés and the beach, Promenade Anglais. And of course there are lots of cafés, bars and restaraunts offering outside tables, dotted everywhere.

"Great location, reasonable price"
JellybeanCn, 10 Septembre 2015

Stayed here for a weekend on our way through to Avignon and found it to be clean, well staffed and in a great location near train stations and trams. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and accommodated our requests quickly and with a smile. Easy walk to water, shopping and restaurants.

"Ok for a one night stay"
Jo F, 01 Septembre 2015

This time last week my family and I were sunning ourselves in the south of France. Due to flight scheduling we needed accommodation in Nice for one evening. We had two rooms one to accommodate 2 adults and one teenager and another to sleep two adults and an infant. On arrival we found the 'limited car park' extremely limited with approx 8 spaces - after trying to navigate the awful one way systems to finally reach the hotel we couldn't park but the hotel were happy for is to leave the car outside while we unloaded. The front desk had no note of is requiring a travel cot - we had booked through booking.com and apparently any notes you leave on their are not given to the hotel!!! So we were told they would send a travel cot up. On getting into the rooms the family room smelt extremely damp and unused and there were no towels. The double room smelt ok but had no room for a travel cot at all. We waited and no cot arrived. We decided to switch round our rooms so the baby would sleep in the family room. We went down to reception and asked for towels and the cot to be sent to the family room. The receptionist made some sarcastic remark that we had stated the other room ... I responded with the fact that if he knew the rooms he had allocated he would realise that room 409 was far to small and would not accommodate the travel cot. The towels had not arrived when we came back to the hotel at 11pm after dinner so we went and asked once more! Breakfast was pleasant but I feel the cost was a little over priced for a continental only breakfast at 9 Euros per person. I would not chose this hotel again as it was difficult to find, difficult to park near, and the standard of the hotel was not what I would expect from a best western.

"Great value"
zeany64, 29 Août 2015

This was a very pleasant hotel, the rooms, bathrooms and public areas were clean. It's situated just off the Main Street into Nice centre, we found it very quite and relaxing. The reception staff are very well trained and efficient in customer service. There is no bar at this hotel due to it not serving meals, there is beer in the vending machine and the reception staff are happy to make you tea or coffee. They also gave us advise on the trains! Buses and Taxies. We didn't have breakfast as it was 12 euro per person and when we looked into the breakfast room it looked very limited. We found a Paul patisserie just down the road where 3 of us had pastries, juice, coffee, and fresh fruit for 22 euro. Depending on your room you may hear the tram ring its bell but it wasn't a issue, as it is just as it crosses the road.

"Disappointed"
Slavica I, 21 Août 2015

Ants!!!!The Morning front desk person was very nice but our room was infested with ants!!!! Even when they changed the room there where ants in the new room as well. They made no effort to comp us for this terrible condition!! We asked to speak to the manager but he wasn't in, in the evening or the morning before we left!!

"Not too many redeeming qualities"
Alicia b, 20 Août 2015

The Pros: Nice lobby Good location for getting to train station/ promenade/ downtown The Cons: Front desk staff could use some "friendly" skill set training Rooms are minuscule ( I mean tiny!) and by no means cheap No coffee maker or tea pot in room (probably because there was no room for one) Bed as hard as a rock Noisy location Was disappointed that this was a Best Western, as we have stayed at some throughout Europe & UK with much higher standards than this hotel.

"Lovely hotel in a prime location "
Kevin J, 16 Août 2015

Lovely clean hotel in an excellent location. We stayed for 7 nights and was not disappointed. Directly on the main shopping street in Nice with tram stop 2 mins walk away and train station 5 mins walk. Friendly staff and rooms were very comfortable. We had a triple room which was very nice and had 2 large windows that overlooked the main street. Breakfast was good with meats, cheese, bread, cereals, fruit, pastries, scrambled eggs, and hot drinks Would definitely return to this hotel

"Great location and great service"
Joao C, 14 Août 2015

Stayed here one night and was not disappointed. Great location, it is really close to the main square, to the beach and to the train station. Rooms are clean and staff was always nice and helpful. You can walk from the hotel to every main place in Nice. I didn't get breakfast in my price, but there are many options close to the hotel where you can pick something to eat.

"Good value, good location"

We were only staying one night in Nice and this was a relatively affordable choice in a good location. You can easily walk to restaurants, shopping, and the beach. The rooms were clean, although very small and basic. Breakfast is not included, but there are plenty of cafes nearby to pick something up. Good deal for the price.

"1 night at Best Western Nice"

The location of the hotel is very good, but it is probably the only reasonable explanation of the price paid. The hotel has almost no parking, a very small (and scary) and old school elevator. I specifically requested a quiet room, but the there was lot of noise. I understand that you can't help the train running, but we have had people shouting (inside and outside the hotel), trucks loading/unloading the entire night.

"Great location and friendly staff"

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. Location is great, everything is within walking distance and local transportation takes you further away if you need to. We took a train to Monaco where we spent a day. Staff is very friendly! Reception helped us to get a taxi to the airport (we were 9 persons) with a very good price. Houseeeping staff smiled every morning. Rooms are clean and bed is so comfortable! We slept like a baby. Breakfast room is quite small and they don´t have a restaurant in the hotel but these things aren´t so important. We had a very good experience and enjoyed our vacation.
