"Friendly staff"
Lynn W, 04 Novembre 2021

We did not enjoy our stay at this hotel. Not located in a walkable area to enjoy the sights of Amboise. Garish room decor, barely adequate sized room for 2 people. Typical Best Western buffet breakfast, adequate. The front desk staff were both very helpful and friendly, especially the evening staff, Alain. However the property was not comfortable or well-located. Wish we had chosen another property.

"Lovely hotel"
mattbouncytigger, 25 Septembre 2021

This was a lovely hotel. Very friendly reception, big car park for our trailer. Comfortable clean room, kettle and drinks facilities, fridge in the room. Perfect for seeing Amboise, very easy access to the town and the sights. Looking forward to going back there!

"Decent basic hotel but overpriced and away from town-center"
Satarupa B, 18 Août 2021

*** No one asked for the Covid Health Pass when we checked in - signs are posted that they are required, but like many other places we have visited, it is for show only For 135 euros a night for what the hotel terms a "privilege room", this is significantly overpriced given its location is 20-30 minute walk from the town-center. There is no closet or drawers and the bed takes up most of the room. The toilet is in its own tiny room on one side of the bedroom and the shower and sink are in another room on the other side of the bedroom creating a rather obvious problem of how to clean up after using the toilet. The advertised garden view is consists of the parking lot plus a few shrubs and small trees. A few positives: free parking, big comfortable bed, clean, decent sized room

"Chateau Visits/Amboise"
Kim M, 21 Octobre 2019

Quaint hotel located about a mile outside of town. Very quiet and safe area. Great place for my husband and I to stay when visiting the Chateaus in the area along with the town of Amboise. Clean larger size bedroom with a nice updated bathroom.

"Good choice for touring Loire Valley"
Mark W, 10 Octobre 2019

This Best Western hotel has a convenient location for people travelling by car. Staff is helpful, and rooms are comfortable. Parking is convenient. Easy to find even without GPS. Definitely would stay here again.

"Great looking place if you can deal with the cranky staff."
Earthwithoutartiseh, 04 Octobre 2019

Everyplace has it's challenges...some unavoidable due to age of the facility etc. This facility is modern and attractive....but the challenge they could overcome is a stressed and unfriendly staff. We often see challenges with a building but we generally get along great with the staff. These folks resist warming up.

"This is a good one!"
swiftycanoe, 27 Septembre 2019

Wonderful! Location great! Breakfast superb! Evening meals excellent! Room spacious & comfy! Great discovery! Camille is a friendly and pleasant receptionist who aided us greatly with good tips and ideas. Need more tv channels in English however.

"Nice hotel in quiet location"
bandaStamford, 22 Septembre 2019

We recently stayed here for three nights. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The shower room was quite small, the shower doors didn't meet so the floor got very wet after using the shower. Breakfast was very expensive for what was available - it wasn't included in our rate. While we stayed, a cycling group were staying and breakfast was a problem as they all seemed to come at once and the hotel couldn't cope with the numbers. There is no evening restaurant but it was a pleasant walk into town to eat. Easy access to the town ring road to tour the area.

"Good hotel"
DYS2014, 08 Août 2019

This is a comfortable hotel with lot of parking area for one's own vehicle. The complimentary breakfast is good but I wished they had more of seasonal fruits. Whatever was there was not of very good quality.

"DON'T MAKE AN ERROR"
Adrian S, 02 Août 2019

On 23rd July 2019 I sat down, in Australia, to book our 4 night stay the dates to be 23rd August - 27th August. Unfortunately I inadvertently booked from 23rd July 2019 which was in fact the very same day I made the booking. I realized my mistake on 29th July 2019. Contact was made with the hotel to establish if we would be able to work out a way to rectify the situation. We were not looking for a refund. Just recognition of a simple error and a re-booking of dates so we could still stay at the Best Western Le Vinci. We were willing to pay some form of cancellation fee and re-book 4 nights in August at full room cost but instead were informed we are liable for the entire cost of the room for the 4 incorrectly booked nights. We understand the mistake was ours and of course it is the hotel's right to charge the full cost of incorrectly booked rooms however we were hoping the hotel would be willing to show some grace and understanding in working towards some form of compromise. I question the stance the hotel has taken in regard to not being able to rent the room to an alternative guest given that when I booked there was a choice of rooms. I doubt our no show had much effect. It would also have been nice if the hotel made some attempt to make contact with us in the event of the no show. We provided an email address upon booking the room. What we find most striking though is the fact our intention of re-booking in August appears to have eluded all. Despite indicating our plans on more than one occasion. At no point were we offered the chance to confirm a booking in August. Attempts to interact with management were handled in the same dismissive manner. We have stayed in Best Western hotels elsewhere on a number of occasions and generally find the staff most helpful. We would have expected a hotel chain of this distinction to have shown a greater level of customer care and perhaps even a greater level of flexibility.

"Adequate for one night"
timetofly83, 29 Juillet 2019

We loved visiting Amboise, but felt the hotel did not warrant the Trip Advisor high rating. Room carpet felt dirty/worn, shower and sink did not effectively drain, the front desk woman would not give us 30-60 minutes later checkout. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean.

"Very close to Chenonceau!"
JulesVerne01, 29 Juillet 2019

Nice one day stay here. Hotel is average but has clean rooms with nice shower. King bed a rarity in France. The location is great if you have a car. Don't book directly with hotel as they charge more.

"It suited us perfectly!"
RonM798, 18 Juillet 2019

A small hotel that has friendly, helpful staff. It is efficiently run, very clean, with a good quality breakfast with lots of variety. The beds are firm and comfortable, and the shower in our room was excellent. The only odd thing was that we had to continually log in to the WiFi if we had not used our tablets for a few hours. Not a big issue, as the speed of the WiFi is excellent. Would definitely recommend this quiet little hotel to anyone who likes to be a bit out of a town's centre. Amboise is only a 20 minute walk, and proved useful to us for walking off our dinners in some of the good restaurants there.

"Good location for visiting chateaux in Loire valley"
natc08, 02 Juin 2019

We stayed two nights at this hotel and used it as our launchpad for visiting Chenonceau, Blois and Chambord. I appreciated the stand up shower after several days of staying with friends with French style baths which require use of a handheld shower head and a tub. I also appreciated that the hotel was easy to find using Waze and had plenty of parking. A 30 minute walk down a charming street lined with very old very French buildings brought us to the heart of the downtown pedestrian tourist district where we had dinner both nights at a sidewalk cafe under the walls of the Chateau Amboise. Good people watching!

"Good"
sharonandrob12, 11 Mai 2019

Really nice hotel.Good location outside the bustle of the main town quiet at night. A short walk into central Amboise for evening meal. Everything was fresh clean and modern. Great breakfast including hot bacon and eggs which is hard to find in France. Plenty of free parking. Staff welcoming and helpful and spoke excellent English.

"Very clean and comfortable"
imonierw, 04 Novembre 2018

The hotel is very easy to find but is some way away from the medieval centre of the city. That brings benefits including free parking and easy journeys out of the town, but it does mean that there are no local restaurants (at least none I could find) within easy reach. I ate in the restaurant on two nights and the food was good and very reasonably priced. I found it a bit eccentric to order dinner from the front desk and then return 20 minutes later but no problem. I was however irritated that the restaurant closed one evening for a public holiday (All Saints) with no warning. Breakfast was very good with wonderful croissants. My room was small and I would have liked an easy chair, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fine. I loved the shower head that changed from green to red as the water warmed up! Another review was charmed by the request not to use the lift after 11pm; that is not an appropriate suggestion if staying on the second floor and one which I would have therefore ignored had I wished to ascend after that time; however if you have a noisy lift (it wasn't noticeably) then invest in a quieter one! Altogether a pleasant place to stay with only one or two quibbles.

"Good stay"
billr488, 20 Septembre 2018

We spent a couple nights here. Laura, at the desk, did a great job for us. She gave good recommendations for everything we asked. She also helped us arrange for our next stay. The breakfast was not included and rather expensive. The air conditioning was turned off for the year, so the room was pretty warm.

"Good stay / nice location"
Sava G, 07 Août 2018

The hotel is an good option for business trip. Good breakfast and tasty dinner. One problem that i saw is the Access Card: if you loose one access card and ask for other one, the system(from reception) is not canceling the first card.

"Stop-over night stay"
Emma G, 24 Juillet 2018

I booked 2 rooms in this hotel for a one night stop-over on our journey south. Both rooms were spotless as were the bathrooms. My elderly mother appreciated the walk in shower as it was all on one level, and a handle on the wall close to the toilet. We appreciated having our evening meal in the hotel (available weekday nights) served with wine, it was all excellent. Breakfast the next morning was good, coffee from a machine was acceptable. The beds were comfortable. It was too far for us to walk into town but the next morning we drove into Amboise, in order to look around parking was straightforward. We found the staff helpful and the hotel offers a calm and pleasant place to stay, on the edge of a pretty town.

"We enjoyed our stay, it was quirky"
849JeffC849, 02 Juin 2018

I will first say that this is a very nice clean and comfortable well located hotel and by all means stay and enjoy. It is run more like a guest room in someone's home. Breakfast is not included, and they require a head count. It is the same breakfast buffet served everywhere we stayed in France. They don't really have a cafe but you MUST let them know in advance if you wish them to prepare a limited (pizza or lasagne ) menu. The parking gate closes at 11pm. the lift does as well ( for sound sake which is quite welcome) The small cups are “only for espresso”. The door to the backyard is only open at certain times in the late after noon and evening. There are cushions for the lawn furniture but not all of them are put out. Perhaps you need to ask.

"Good location "
oakwoodfencing, 15 Avril 2018

Stayed here over a weekend. Good location for Amboise, a 15 minute walk into town, so you a close by without being in the middle of things. All very modern and clean, having just been refurbished. Plenty of safe parking as well. Only slight niggle water pressure for the shower not very good on second floor. We will definitely be back but will ask for a room on a lower floor maybe the pressure will be better. Helpful front desk staff who told us about places of interest and gave us a tourist map.

"Good location fair breakfast"
FMC1234567, 15 Mars 2018

Hotel is in a excellent location if you're looking to visit the castles in the region. Gives you easy access to most of the attractions in the Loire Valley. Price wise is fair. Simple, small room but very comfortable. Differential is the breakfast. For the same price as in other hotels you get to have real breakfast with plenty of options of breads (obvious, you're in France) and eggs, sausage, bacon etc (yes, this is a differential in France). Bottom line: we had a very good experience for a fair price and amazing location. Staff is very helpful also.

"Great place to stay"
love2trvlCininnati, 26 Octobre 2017

Best Western is a very nice hotel in a good location with ample parking. Check in was a breeze and the staff was awesome! We were into week 2 if our trip and needed to do laundry. Facilities on premise for a fee of 6 euros to wash and 6 euros to dry. It was great to have all clean clothes again. Backyard was very welcoming with tables and chairs to enjoy a picnic. A great value!

"Great Location, Very Nice Hotel"
jbg74, 22 Octobre 2017

This is a nice hotel at a decent price. It is about a 20 minute walk from the Chateau d'Amboise and right down the road a short distance from the Pagoda of Chateloup. There are lots of stuff to do within walking distance of the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were nice. The bed was very firm. I have had several good experiences at Best Westerns in Europe and this one was no exception. I would definitely stay here again.

"Decent hotel but requested view?"
PaulNCKent, 13 Septembre 2017

This is a decent reasonable value hotel located about 4 minutes (by taxi) from the old part of Amboise. The superior room was smallish but had a good large double bed - about 120 euros. Breakfast was charged at 13 euros pp. So, decent hotel in decent location at a reasonable cost for Amboise. My only disappointment was the outlook I show which we got after requesting "a room with a good view...." What are the others like?

"Modern clean hotel."
glrservices, 11 Septembre 2017

Friendly and pleasant staff on reception and in the restaurant. Stayed one night, small room but clean and modern, good shower, air conditioning and free wifi. Ate in the restaurant for dinner and was very pleasantly surprised. As others have said about a nice 15/20 minute walk into town. The hotel is very quiet and would use again as a stopover en route to Gers. The hotel doesn't profess to offer outstanding views so don't really understand the previous comments of views of a car park. It's a good hotel with free secure parking!

"OK for one night, lots of parking"
brianneudorf, 05 Septembre 2017

This is a decent modern hotel that is about a twenty minute walk from old town Amboise. The checkin staff are not very friendly and there is really nothing of interest around the hotel. We had a view of the gravel parking lot.

"Nice!"
amboseli, 27 Août 2017

Nice little hotel, a good 20 min. walk away from the centre of town. Our superior room was very attractive and had a large bathroom (no 205). Friendly staff, good breakfast (though maybe a bit expensive). The garage for bikes and the private parking (closed at night) are definitely a big pro, as is the quiet location of the hotel.

"Modern hotel"
k00ey, 03 Août 2017

Convenient location, good storage for bikes, recently renovated, clean and fresh. About a 20 minute walk into the centre, but it's a nice route. Excellent breakfast choice. Could do with more bar facilities for a drink before dinner, but otherwise great!

"Well situated modern hotel for Amboise with pretty gardens at the rear"
576maggie, 20 Juillet 2017

Provided everything we needed for one night stay in Amboise and very close and convenient to the town centre. Easy to find. Rooms well appointed albeit not overly large. Good reception area and secure free car parking on site

"Great sto over"
Malcolm B, 14 Juillet 2017

Convenient to centre but nice and quiet. Helpful staff with cosy atmosphere. Breakfast covered all our needs with wide variety of choice and good quality. Coffee and tea in room but milk for tea in room is horrible.

"Good hotel outside town center"
NC_Rambler, 14 Juillet 2017

Amboise is a lovely town with many good restaurants and shops. It's very convenient for exploring the Loire Valley. Although we generally try to stay in very central hotels, during the time we were in Amboise, they either were very expensive or did not promise air conditioning. The Best Western Le Vinci offered an excellent rate and A/C. Given that we would have a car for this portion of the trip, we decided to stay here. Honestly, the walk from the hotel to the city center was not bad at all for us. Also, parking in the city center was also available when we needed it. Some folks may wish to be aware that the walk back to the hotel from downtown is mostly uphill, but the grade is not steep. The hotel was very clean, and the room was comfortable. The A/C and wifi worked perfectly. The hotel was very quiet except for one thing. The hinges on the doors to the rooms were squeaky, and we could hear them when other guests were opening and closing their doors. Overall, we made a good choice, and I would choose to stay here again.

"Good hotel"
John Y, 27 Juin 2017

We stayed two nights in room 203. The room was adequate in size and was clean. The air conditioning was marginal. The location is good if you have a car and parking is free. The hotel is 2K from the center of town. You can walk to the town center. They have breakfast for a fee and they offer wine and beer for a fee. It has a very nice deck on the back to sit, enjoy the moment and have a glass or wine or a beer.

"Convenient quiet small hotel."
Susan K, 21 Juin 2017

Quiet comfortable hotel with air conditioning and free parking. Reasonable walking distance from the town centre - we did this several times. Good location for visiting the Loire Chateaux. Helpful staff cooked us an evening meal as it was evening when we arrived. I would use the hotel again if I return to the area.

"Great place to stay"
Rod G, 18 Juin 2017

Very pleasant location just out of the town. Not a large hotel but modern and friendly. A peacefull spot with open countryside at the rear of the hotel. Will certainly stay again and Amboise is certainly worth a visit.

"Chateau visit"
Reid R, 14 Juin 2017

We love Amboise and the quaint shops and restaurants. This hotel is great too. It has a nice firm bed that is good in the back and the décor is a bit quirky / purple and DaVinci painting wall paper. Don't count on supper because you have to give them a lot of notice. Convenient location and free parking. Much classier than Best Western's in the USA.

"Not a 4-Star Hotel"
AeneasAtSea, 06 Juin 2017

This hotel was clean, rooms are spacious for a European hotel, and the beds are comfortable. But service is uneven at best. And the hotel is well over a kilometer from town, so unless you have a car prepare yourself for some very long walks. And even though they advertise room service and dinner options, and have a menu in the room, at present they say they have no cook. So during my two days in the hotel there was no food available at all after breakfast--and there are no stores or restaurants within walking distance. And while their website advertises complimentary water, there was none; they charged me 5,30 euros each day for a bottle. The check-in clerk was very friendly but completely unaccommodating about check-in times. She accepted to store my luggage but refused to allow me to check in before the formal check-in time of 3:00 pm even if a room became available. I have never had that happen before, anywhere. Sometimes a hotel can't get your room cleaned and ready right away, which is perfectly understandable. But I've never before had anyone refuse to let me check in a little early simply because the posted time is later. The elevator wasn't working when I arrived and the stairs are so narrow there is only room to carry your luggage in front of you. Breakfast is minimal even though it costs about $15: it includes a small selection of meats and cheeses, two hot dishes (scrambled eggs and bacon), a few breads and sweet rolls, yogurt, a few thin pancakes, a few dry serials, and some fruit. The room has a small desk but the light is purely decorative, not serviceable for work. There is plenty of parking out front and around the back, but the hotel is bracketed by two busy roads so there is always traffic noise. The closet has a curtain and three shelves, but no drawers. There is pump soap by the sink and in the shower, but no shampoo, lotion, or other amenities at all. And the TV is very small. They arranged taxis for me on several occasions, but each time the service cost me significantly more than they promised it would, and though they advertise a hotel car/shuttle, they would only call a taxi while I was there. In short, if you have a car and want a no-frills, comfortable bed for the night, then this hotel is ok. But if you actually want to eat in a hotel, relax, walk to Amboise center, or require any service at all, you will be sorely disappointed with this hotel.

"Great people, nice room"
OGLH, 06 Mai 2017

Staff were all very nice and helpful, Room was slightly basic but very clean and comfortable; good bed. A bit far into town center if you don't have a car but free parking if you do, and nice and quite at night even with windows open A good value for what you get. Did our laundry for us for a very reasonable charge. Overall a pleasant stay. We did not eat there.

"Terrible/péssimo hotel"
jvpgonzalez, 29 Avril 2017

Terrible hotel, far from the touristic center, terrible sound isolation and over heated. You can hear everything from the neighborhood and from the corridors. In the first morning, we were woken early by a lawn mower. In the second morning, we were woken by a guest knocking on other door in the end of the corridor. If you do not want to sleep it suits you perfectly. Inside the rooms it is very hot and the room air conditioner do not manage to cool down and it is impossible to sleep with an open window, because outside is very noisy. Even after changing rooms the unconfortable heat persisted. But if you do want a great stay, with the same price range, last year, i went to the hotel Le Manoirs Les Minimes, and it was memorable.

"Quaint little place"
EricPerth_Australia, 18 Mars 2017

This is the small hotel operated from a three stories building that looks like a large mansion. It is in a quiet residential street approximately five minutes drive away from the historic town of Amboise. Our room was small, rustic but comfortable. Guests' cars can be conveniently parked in its compound. it has a small restaurant that serves a decent breakfast. However, there are plenty of food options nearby. Service is friendly, the staff speak English and are helpful in answering questions and making recommendations. Amboise itself is a charming town with a historic castle that has the colourful history. This is a good value accommodation option and I would definitely stay here again in the event that I return to Amboise.

"Great visit"
kaytelovell, 03 Mars 2017

Really helpful staff, very welcoming. Comfortable bed, room was fine, housekeeping was of a high standard. Didn't eat here, but I heard other guests say the food was good - bar and outside area only open during tourist season though. Nice local jewelry and wine on sale in reception. Only down side was that the wifi did not extend to the room I was in. I could get it up to outside the door, but not inside the room itself. Would definitely recommend and stay here again

"Beware!!"
nicuk59, 08 Janvier 2017

Beware of Best Western Hotel Vinci Loire Valley in Amboise when booking at that hotel. They will make you pay whether you stay at the hotel or not, even if they can't give you the room you originally booked. We booked a superior room (requesting a quiet room) for September 10 - September 13, 2016 (3 nights). We were given a very small and claustrophobic room with a sloping ceiling, which we declined. The only non-claustrophobic room which was available, and we had to accept, was a room in front of the elevator, facing the main road, with a noisy air conditioning unit and even had a broken toilet seat. After a sleepless night, we advised the hotel that we could not stay the following two nights. We were told that we would still have to pay for the 3 nights (Euro 375). Their excuse was because we had made the booking directly on the Best Western website. We were offered another room for the remaining 2 nights, but they couldn't show us that room until 4 pm. We didn't want to take the risk of other sleepless nights and reluctantly had to pay the 375 Euro and left. Upon our return home, we contacted Best Western (in Arizona). They were very efficient, helpful and understanding and after making their own investigations, sent us a refund for the two nights we didn't stay in Amboise, but had to pay. Although the Best Western Office handled this matter in a very professional and fair manner, we cannot say the same for franchisees such as Best Western Hotel Vinci Loire Valley, 12 Avenue Emile Gounin, Amboise, France.

"Small but nice"
Malcolm B, 01 Novembre 2016

This is a small hotel, not serving an evening meal but giving good advice on where to eat. Two minute drive to town centre where there is lots to see, do (including wine tasting) and eat. We eat at Chez Bruno. Very nice. Rooms are OK but top floor is in the roof so ceilings slope. Secure parking is free and gates are shut after 11pm albeit you have a key. Breakfast was lovely with good selection. We will return.

"Convenient overnight stop"
davetheguide, 20 Octobre 2016

I do not agree with others who say the location is poor. I would presume that anyone touring the Loire Valley independently is doing so with a car. As such, the property offers a convenient solution. The hotel has its own secure parking and is a five minute drive to the touristy center of Amboise. I actually preferred being just outside the center of town, since Amboise was a bit too touristy for my taste. The staff was very helpful - the woman at the front desk spoke English and she was very helpful in making dinner reservations for us in town. The breakfast the hotel offers was excellent. All in all, a value-for-money accommodation with a convenient location for those driving around the Loire Valley.

"Stop over"
Mickeys03, 28 Septembre 2016

Nice little hotel used as a stop over on our way home. Very friendly staff with a good local knowledge Rooms small but very comfortable.Unfortunately there is no restaurant and it's a good walk into the town . Breakfast is very good but rather expensive. Would like to have stayed longer to explore the city.

"Very comfortable hotel"
global-traveller48, 22 Septembre 2016

We had an excellent stay at this hotel, but we weren't in it much as we were seeing friends in the area. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable with excellent, large, beds and all the amenities one would want. It is also extremely quiet. I am a very light sleeper but didn't hear the traffic al all. The breakfast was really good, with a great variations on the buffet, and the scrambled eggs were freshly made (ie not out of a packet). My only proviso is that you need a car as it is a long walk into the centre. Other than that I recommend it highly

"Good service, but poor location and restaurant."
Hogbaggy, 21 Septembre 2016

The hotel is small. Our room was very good and clean. Service efficient, but a little slow. Good buffet breakfast. This hotel is located about a mile out of town and therefore requires a good walk or short drive to find a nice restaurant. The hotel uses the breakfast room as a token restaurant with a very basic menu. There is a bar area and patio but no sign of a bar. In fact staff levels were very low, sometimes you will find it difficult to find anyone.

"Clean, but Could be Very Noisy"
Waverunner2012, 19 Septembre 2016

The hotel inside is modernly decorated and clean. The front desk was friendly. It also services dinner and breakfast on-site, though dinner sitting is a bit limited since there is only one cook and the server is also double duty at the front desk. Nevertheless, the food at dinner were properly prepared, elegantly presented and delicious. The negative side is that it is next to a busy street and about half of the rooms are on the street side. Our room was tiny. The sink in the bathroom was was even smaller, making it difficult to even brush the teeth. It is also not close to any town or attractions. You pretty much need to get into a car to where ever you need to go.

"Good location to use as your home base"
CPaM68, 18 Septembre 2016

A good hotel and location to use as your home base if you are touring the eastern half of the Loire Valley by car (ample parking). The rooms are not fancy, but clean, comfortable and moderately priced. The hotel is a mile or two from the city center of Amboise (restaurants and attractions) but an easy drive with free parking by the river. Helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast with several choices (croissants were very good), although a little expensive. We stayed four nights, and I agree with another post that it would have been nice to have a chest of drawers in the room to unpack clothes rather than having to keep them in my suitcase. Rick Steves recommendation.

"Perfect place to stay when visiting Amboise"
Terence L, 12 Septembre 2016

Clean to perfection, helpful staff, close to the city centre. Parking and plenty of room out side to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Breakfast lots of choice and good value. We will stay there again next year. Just perfect.

"Small but very nice"
Benjamin F, 04 Septembre 2016

Small hotel, located a little bit away from the city centre of Amboise but still within walking distance. Overall the hotel is very clean and comfortable. The room was basic but functional. The ladies at the reception were very friendly and helpful. Especially I appreciated the service that the staff arranged re-shipment of missing articles in a very uncomplicated way.

"A very modern hotel in a beautiful town"
Keith N, 27 Août 2016

This hotel is located away from the main town but within easy walking distance of the lovely town centre, on arrival the young lady at reception was very helpful , this young lady also worked very hard helping out in the restaurant too. Our room was large and spacious with a large walk in shower. Breakfast was good . found all staff to be polite helpful and friendly

"A good base for the Loire Valley sites"
Trumpeterscott, 16 Août 2016

I stayed for a few nights and was pleased with the overall ambience of the hotel. The welcome was friendly and the room functional. The restaurant on site was not open over the weekend but there were plenty of good places to eat in Amboise - as long as you're happy to walk the mile or so to get there - or drive if not enjoying the local wines! The food in the hotel restaurant when open in the evening was good. Breakfast was good with a fine selection of items. The hotel also offers free and secure parking on site, and this is a clear bonus. Good wifi too. As said a really good place to base yourself if touring this lovely area, though do not expect 'plush'.

"Practical hotel for a short stop in Amboise"
Engarde_1984, 11 Août 2016

In terms of parking - Le Vinci is a good choice if you are on a driving tour of the Loire Valley area as it has a decent sized Car Park around the back of the building that feels fairly secure (a lot of other hotels in Amboise seem to require you to use the on-street parking, which is available, but inconvenient and not really ideal if you're not planning to unpack everything). In terms of rooms - I would say that the hotel is only suitable for a 1/2 night stay as the rooms are quite basic and the decor is pretty dated (the orange carpet, in particular has seen better days). In terms of location - It took me and my partner just over 20 mins to walk into the town, which might sound a lot, but was actually quite a nice way to walk off our evening meal, but I would hesitate to recommend to anyone who has any kind of mobility challenges or feels uncomfortable walking around town at night. In terms of cost - I think the price would be fair if it included breakfast, but the €13 charge per person for breakfast (on top of the premium room price) makes this Hotel slightly overpriced in my opinion.

"Convenient Hotel in Amboise"
umcpastor, 28 Juillet 2016

We stayed at the Le Vinci for two nights as we visited the regions sites. The hotel is very good. The front desk staff is warm and friendly. The rooms are comfortable. The entire property is very clean. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom met American expectations. The shower was small but excellent. Towels were thick and plush. There was a minibar in the room that we did not use but there was a hot water pot and tea and coffee that were very useful. The full buffet breakfast is not included but it is worth the additional costs with service from 7 through 10:30. The buffet featured both hot and cold items. Overall we were very pleased with this hotel.

"More a family hotel than a Best Western"
Mark_from_Thailand, 16 Juillet 2016

We stayed here for a few days, over the Bastille Day celebrations. The hotel is very easy to find, on a main access to Amboise but set off the road, so there is little/no road noise. The staff were immediately friendly and helped us check-in a little early and took our evening meal booking. They provide room service (pizza and club sandwich type) every night but a full meal is, strangely, only some nights. What they provided for us the first night was very good and we enjoyed the hotel restaurant. The rooms are a decent size, fairly modern with the usual "European" twin bed arrangement, with air con and a decent bathroom, with a shower in the bath arrangement in our room. TV is a Philips flat screen, with a range of channels (including Thai and Indonesian and Chinese) but only one English one (BBC World) we could find. The WiFi is good enough for Netflix though. We had the room service one evening and the lady on duty was good enough to serve it for us on the sun terrace to the rear of the hotel. That was great - sitting in the terrace enjoying pizza and wine, balloons over-head and the evening sun! A good hotel, with far more of a family-run atmosphere than the usual hotel chain feel.

"Beautifully appointed hotel"
394JulieH, 11 Juillet 2016

We were there as a group of 16 cyclists. Reception staff very efficient having all our room keys ready on arrival. Beautiful building situated a short drive from town. Rooms very well appointed, large wardrobe area, kettle and fridge. We had a room on the front overlooking the drive and although the hotel is situated on a fairly busy road, there was little road noise. Nice shower, though not terribly large. Lovely dining room, our set meal was excellent. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice. Would be very happy to return.

"Excellent place to stay in Amboise"
Jerema W, 05 Juillet 2016

We stayed at the Best Western Le Vinci Loire Valley for three nights a few weeks ago. We were touring the Loire Valley and chateaus by car and we decide to base ourselves in Amboise. This new, relatively small hotel has comfortably sized, nicely appointed very clean rooms with a flat screen TV, coffee/tea brewing unit and a mini bar. The hotel provides free, quick internet service. There is free parking and an elevator even though the hotel is only three stories. The service was very responsive and efficient. There is a good breakfast spread at an additional cost and they also serve dinner on the restaurant but we never ate there as we were trying out other restaurants in Amboise. This is a very nice, efficient hotel that worked very well for use because it had parking and easy access to routes to other towns. Is important to note that this hotel is about a 5 minute drive from the main street and it would be a fifteen minute walk from the main part of town if you don't not have a car. I would stay here again.

"Small town - good value"
fussylady001, 04 Juillet 2016

As I said in another review of a Best Western, the European equivalents are better than in the US. They are more charming properties. Situated about a mile (uphill) from the center of Amboise, the LeVinci is a well-appointed hotel. Our room was large, and on the top floor – so we had dormer windows - which opened to provide good ventilation. It is fairly quiet so we kept the windows open at night. We did get tired of walking up and down the hill but cabs were few and far between. There is no “hailing” cabs or a dedicated cab stand in Amboise. I noticed a car with the hotel logo on it in the parking lot and wondered if it was a shuttle. We were told the driver had hurt his shoulder so we never determined whether or not this was a “shuttle.” Also, when you arrive by train in Amboise, don't expect cabs to be outside. The stationmaster provided a list of cabs for me to call, but no one answered. I finally called the hotel which sent a taxi. We called the hotel who sent a cab for us. Beds were very comfortable. The reading lights were a little dim, but I used the flashlight app on my phone. Our bathroom was divided into two parts: sink and shower in one room and the loo in another. And kudos for providing adequate shelf space to put toiletries! Shower is cool – it has lights on it to tell you when the temperature is right. Towels are large and fluffy – not often seen in Europe. Closet was adequate for two women travelling together with shelves. Breakfast is €13 in the dining room or you can get a “take away” continental breakfast in your room Without a doubt, the DaVinci had the best croissants on the entire trip in France – flaky and crisp on the outside and pillow-like on the inside. We don't know if this is an Amboise rule, but the hotels do not allow you to put your own food or drink in the room's refrigerator….some ambiguous hotel about it being “forbidden” because of health rules. A bottle of water? We met others on our chateaux tour and they commented on the same thing at another property and I read that one room tacks on a charge. Other than the distance to town, and the fact that the “night” manager didn't speak English, the DaVinci is a good choice. Staff is very helpful, especially Nathalie.

"Quiet Location"
Linda M, 02 Juillet 2016

Very nice location close to town but just far enough to be nice and quiet. The front desk person was extremely pleasant upon our check-in even personally showing us to our room on the second floor. She provided a map of the town and highlight where the parking and restaurants were located. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The shower and toilet are in separate rooms, pros and cons to that but very workable. The shower was good and the towels were also very nice and big. We had a great sleep as it was quiet during the evening.

"Mr Lou"
Mr_Lou, 29 Mai 2016

If you are driving or cycling, this hotel is a great location for visiting the area. We stayed 5 nights and it was extremely clean and comfortable. There is an elevator and in the room there are bath robes and slippers. They provide a list of restaurants for dinner in town. The hotel has breakfast and serves dinner during the week to guests in the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

"Top marks!!"
Phil H, 26 Mai 2016

We used this hotel as a one night stop over on our journey through France. We were in room 102, which was just fabulous, as was every other aspect of this establishment! Welcoming, helpful staff, immaculately clean, secure parking , great food and drink (try the owners own cider!). You need your car if you want to explore Amboise itself, but that's about the only negative!! We will definitely come back for a longer stay some time. Fantastic!!

"Neat and Tidy"
mummamiaMA, 24 Mai 2016

The rooms are very clean, tidy and comfortable. But the rooms are small and without draws or shelves to unpack and put your clothes away which was frustrating for a 5 night stay. It is a close 15min walk into town and the hotel provides plenty of free parking. The wifi was unreliable from the second floor of the hotel but worked well from reception and a very sweet guest lounge room on the ground floor. It depends perhaps on your provider. There is a small lift in the hotel too so it is easy with luggage to get to the upper floors. They also provide a laundry service for €6 per wash and €6 to dry. There is a bar fridge in the room but it is not cold enough to store food - they can store just a few items in the main kitchen fridge for you but this is encouraged. The breakfast is €13. A pleasant stay.

"Bizarre, awful experience"
jvald, 22 Mai 2016

I typically only write Trip Advisor reviews when I have either an excellent experience or a really bad one. If it weren't for our experience on our last day, I wouldn't have bothered to review the Best Western. The room was fine - very basic, but suitable and typical for European hotels. It was clean. It's not very centrally located and taxis are difficult to come by here, so if you don't have a car, I wouldn't recommend it unless you don't mind walking 1.5-2 miles to the chateau and the main square. However, the awful experience came when we went to leave. We had (over)paid 13 euro per person for breakfast, which had a decent variety of food. As we were about to leave, I asked the blonde female attendant if I could have a cup to takeaway my coffee. She brought me a cup from the kitchen, although she seemed somewhat reluctant. However, as I was filling up my cup from the coffee machine, this man appeared out of nowhere and started yelling at me in French. It was obvious that he was telling me I wasn't allowed to take away the coffee, but the absolute rudeness with which he screamed at me was far beyond what the situation called for. I tried to explain that his colleague had brought me the cup and said it was okay, that I had paid for my breakfast, and that I was a guest at the hotel. He did not care. He continued berating me in French and practically kicked me out. My mother was so upset that she actually left the hotel (we were about to check out anyway). I turned to the blonde woman who had given me the cup for help and reminded her that SHE had given me the takeaway cup. She tried to explain that to him, but he refused to listen. It was unbelievable. It appeared from their interaction that he was the manager. I could also tell from her behavior that this isn't the first time he has treated "guests" this way. It was really an awful, unpleasant experience after an otherwise uneventful stay. It's shocking that this man works in hospitality. He is a middle aged short man with close cut spiky hair and he had his left arm in a cast. Everyone else we met on our trip to France was just lovely. He was the only person who reinforced the "rude French" stereotype, and he reinforced it to the extreme. I would avoid this hotel and this person. There are lots of lovely options in Amboise where you won't be treated like a criminal for taking a cup of coffee you'd paid for and been given permission to take.

"A lovely hotel in Amboise"
CESAHS, 21 Mai 2016

Although not in the center of town the hotel is close enough to walk. On a quiet residential street surrounded by green trees. The dinners in the restaurants were some of the best we have had on our French holiday. Great staff.

"review of hotel"
Gina A, 20 Mai 2016

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel in April 2016 and could have stayed longer. Its a great place for exploring the area. The staff was very professional, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was great and we ate dinner there and it was delicious. The property is very clean and well kept. Hopefully, we will return to this lovely area and will certainly stay at the Best Western Le Vinci . Just a note, you really need a car to explore this area and if not, be a good walker.

"Convenient "
Adrienne W, 19 Mai 2016

A modern hotel within 15 or 20 minutes walk to the town. No drawers in the room which is awkward for a 5 night stay Breakfast was not included in the rate and I thought it was a bit expensive. Very nice buffet breakfast though. We booked many months ago and on the website we saw a microwave in the room. That is not so.

"Return visit"
trueblues, 24 Avril 2016

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel whilst travelling across France. Amboise is a good stop over from the St Malo ferry and this hotel ticks all the boxes for us. It compares well with other similar hotels we have stayed in. The hotel is situated in the suburbs and has plenty of car parking. It is tastefully decorated with a nod to Da Vinci and the rooms although not large are bright and comfortable. The breakfast is good value with local produce on offer and staff are friendly and helpful.

"Nice Rooms, Great Breakfast, Delightful Staff"
User, 31 Mars 2016

We spent one night here towards the end of a 3 1/2 week vacation and we were delighted to find that it even better than we had hoped! The rooms were nice & comfy, the breakfast was the best we had during our ENTIRE trip, and the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Would certainly stay here again. Always fun to find these treasures.

"Great rooms, food, staff"
KEJI12, 25 Mars 2016

We stopped over following Viking cruise...were pleasantly surprised at the excellent location and accomodations of this Best Western! Quaint, clean, spacious wonderful breakfast included! Staff spoke English and were all friendly and helpful. We would stay at this hotel in lovely Amboise again for certain!

"Easy Parking"
Friendly_Reviewer, 17 Mars 2016

Yes it's a Best Western but it is still a French hotel. We chose this hotel as it had free and easy parking. We walked into the town every evening about 20 mins according to Google maps. This was fine for us as we are used to walking. We chose to have breakfast in the hotel which was pretty much the same as all the hotels we stayed in this trip. A selection of fresh items.

"Cozy Hotel, Great Food"
Northern_Miner12, 12 Décembre 2015

The Best Western Le Vinci is very comfortable and clea. I would recommend this hotel more for people travelling with a vehicle. We were on foot and found it was a good walk to town which was sometimes inconvenient. The hotel offers a small dinner menu and the food was some of the best we had while in the Loire Valley. The hotel could improve by letting people sit on the patio area even if they are not ordering food or beverages.

"Very nice, in a treed neighborhood!"
SweetestOrange, 27 Novembre 2015

Due to unforeseen circumstances, my husband and I had to cancel our night's hotel reservations in another town and late at night had to find a hotel along our route. When my husband located this Best Western I was wary because, as an American, I don't expect to stay at a "Best Western" in France but I was most pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel which was located in a nice residential neighborhood near to the town center. It turned out to be a very nice, clean hotel in a great location. Parking was out front.

"Good central base near town"
Doreen O, 14 Novembre 2015

This small hotel was comfortable and well located, just a short drive/walk from the pleasant town of Amboise. Amboise has pedestrian streets with plenty of shops and restaurants. The castle overlooks town and Da Vinci's home is here. This was a great base for touring the sites. The hotel rooms are small but this is typical of France.

"Gold value - bicycle friendly"
Nuria T, 25 Octobre 2015

Helpful staff. Good mattras. Very clean. Easy to reach from train station and tourist office with bicycle. Secure parking for bicycle. Very calm place. Good value 115 eur/night. Nice breakfast (buffet).

"Good value"
Bob and Deb Z, 14 Octobre 2015

Not close to town as we were led to believe! Little drive from town and is not what I would call walking distance! The rooms are small, but very well kept! Staff is attentive and friendly. Breakfast buffet is good and staff keeps everything well stocked!

"Friendly staff and convenient location to enjoy the town of Amboise"
jahn716, 12 Octobre 2015

While it is a bit removed from the city center, the BW Le Vinci is a great value for any visit to the town of Amboise - via car, you can access downtown, which has a lot of parking spaces, in less than ten minutes. The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. Overall, a good value to spend a night in one of the many cities throughout the Loire Valley.

"Great base, nice staff & great breakfast."
ranger22miami, 06 Octobre 2015

It was a nice stay, good room and great location. Only issue was the staff trying to charge us for our 3 year old daughter's breakfast even though our breakfasts were included. How much can a 3 year old eat? half a croissant and a glass of milk? Seriously.

"Good For a Short Stay"
LRGE, 05 Octobre 2015

This hotel is outside of downtown Amboise, and up a very narrow road. The hotel offers free parking and free wifi. We had to drive into town, which was okay although parking was a little difficult. Our room was clean, but small with adequate furnishings. The breakfast buffet was good. The staff was not outstanding in any way but they were friendly and helpful enough. Our only real complaint was that it was cold and the hotel had no heat. Also, the staffing shut down at 11:00 pm, so you could only get emergency attention after 11:00 pm.

"Great Service at a good location"
Mike H, 04 Octobre 2015

The hotel is only a 15 minute walk from Amboise and overall we had a good experience. The meals were excellent and the room was clean with a modernised bathroom. Only niggle was the wardrobe which was a bit small. A special mention must go to Gyslaine Hardoin (owner), who was so kind in coming to collect us from the train station herself when we had no chance of getting a cab late in the afternoon. A big thank you!

"Good base for exploring"
peteroaktree, 02 Octobre 2015

Hotel is situated about 15minutes (uphill) out of the centre of Amboise We wee allocated a top floor room overlooking the fields and houses at the back. Very quiet. Room was very good with tea making facilities. Breakfast was buffet, plentiful and varied with eggs bacon and sausage if you wanted it. Decided to eat in rather than go back into town. Meals had to be pre-ordered with about three choices. Menu did not change that much to the next night. However for the money it was good and good value. Although there was some sitting area outside, there was a poor lounge as it was small and uninviting. Wi fi was not working for the three days we stayed in this hotel However this did not really affect our stay. Good base for exploring Tours (on railway) and the famous châteaux's

"Good if you can't find other vacancy"
melanie m, 01 Octobre 2015

I stayed here for three nights, and there were some good and bad elements to this hotel. First, it is located in a perfect location with a short walk to the heart of Amboise. The breakfast was excellent, but not worth $20.00 per person. In keeping with the Best Western trademark, the beds were very comfortable and large. The draw back is that the bathroom smelled really weird during our entire stay. I couldn't quite pin point what it was, but something rotting and then masked by a chemical odor coming from the pipes. My review is split down the middle because we were well rested due to the comfort and cleanliness of the beds, but I dreaded going into the bathroom. The staff that we met was two women who were definitely not vested, and seemed detached from the guests. They never greeted the guests and were more like flies on the wall. When we asked about information regarding local castles and attractions, they pointed us to a stand with hundreds of brochures. We were definitely on our own in finding information on activities and sightseeing. Due to the standoffish nature of the staff, I didn't think it was worth our while to complain about the smell coming from the bathroom pipes.

"Adequate "
dakesale, 01 Octobre 2015

This hotel is about 2 miles out of the beautiful town of Amboise. Transporting is needed. There is adequate parking . Desk staff was pleasant and helpful. Our room was very small and had a roof sloping into the room. Wifi worked ok in reception are but not at all in our room. Apparently some rooms did have working wifi.

"Don't stay here"
J P, 30 Septembre 2015

The rooms are very tiny, the toilet and the sink/shower are on opposite sides of the room (have to negotiate around the bed), and God help you if you have any luggage, as moving around the room becomes even more of a challenge due to the lack of space. The hotel is promoted as near town, and frankly, that is why we selected this place...and upon arrival, learned that is an absolute misrepresentation. In fact, it's in a center of a residential area and any visits to town and local activities requires that you bring your own transportation, i.e.. a car. The whole experience at this hotel left me with a terrible taste. It is a pure low-budget type of property and reminded me of a U.S. flop house. I would never recommend this property.

"good location, but small rooms and bath"
Steve K, 28 Septembre 2015

This property is located with walking distance (about 20 minutes) of downtown Amboise. Several Loire Valley chateau are a 30-45 minute drive from here. However, our room was rather small and the closet was concealed behind a curtain, not a door! The bath was also very small. On the plus side, parking was easy and the location was quiet. Some of the front desk staff didn't speak English well, which resulted in confusion when we requested an iron and ironing board (which they did, eventually, provide).

"Small room - but good location"
WarwickshireBarbie, 20 Septembre 2015

About a mile from centre with good free parking. Also secure garage for cycles which is why we chose it. Room was small - not unexpected. However, come on guys who designs and refurbishes a hotel room and decides to have no storage! Not exagerating - not one drawer, just a curtained off hanging space with the suitcase rack below. Couldn't hang up a dress and couldn't open my suitcase without moving it either. 4 nights living out of suitcase. Only really suitable if you are staying one night or travel really light. Staff elusive.breakfast expensive.

"Good hotel on the edge of town"
AussieJulesW, 17 Septembre 2015

This hotel is located a fair way from the main parts of town. It's a 20 minute walk downhill into the old town, and slightly longer on the way back! It was fine the first few times but the novelty wore thin. It's also too far to walk from the Gare but you can get a taxi for approx €10. The staff at the hotel are friendly, helpful and speak English. They assisted is with taxi and tour bookings, plus general info. The room is small but clean and warm. It was great to have tea and coffee facilities after the last month without. We had dinner at the hotel on a Monday night as many local other places are closed. We had to preorder which made me wonder if the food was actually made in house, However we are told it was - and it was really good. Yes, the Goats cheese tart was microwaved, but the slow cooked pork and beef bourgenone were delicious. We ended up eating there another night as we had not booked a restaurant and couldn't get in anywhere at short notice. However, they really would benefit from revamping the dining room. It is OK for breakfast but a bit utilitarian for dinner. We has breakfast one morning and were charged €13 for a full breakfast when we thought there was a €9 option for continental only. That was two seriously expensive to croissants and coffees! If you want a cheaper option, the €7 'take away' delivered to your room is a better and consists of Coffee or tea, juice and croissant. Overall, this hotel is fine. However, if you don't have a car it might be worth staying nearer to the town.

"Very nice clean hotel"
Felix D, 16 Septembre 2015

This hotel is a about one KM from downtown Amboise but a great place to stay and lots of free parking which is sooo convenient in Amboise. Close to the Château Amboise and Château du Clos Luce (Da Vinci), a a great plsce to start from to go drive up the Loire valley. Rooms are clean, service is very good and breakfast is ok. The hotel environment is very quiet which we certainly enjoyed to get a good rest. We especially recommend this hotel to people with cars.

"Modern comforts on outskirts of town"
DAWLincs, 08 Septembre 2015

An extremely well decorated and furnished small hotel with welcoming friendly staff and modern rooms. Bathroom and novel shower facilities were good, and a separate toilet was a sensible use of space. Good parking facilities and easy approach from south (Chenenceaux ), with adequate signage on roadside only. We didn't dine here, though menu looked interesting, but walked 15 mins downhill into Amboise for a choice of many fine restaurants. Coming back (uphill ! ) took longer and had little street lighting for much of the way.

"Highly Recommended"
ox1paula2015, 02 Septembre 2015

We had a fantastic 3 night stay at this hotel. We ate in the hotel on the first night not expecting too much, but the quality of the food was excellent and great value for money. We chose to eat there again another night instead of going into town because it was better. Staff very helpful and friendly.

"Average hotel with friendly staff - beware walking home at night"
DavieinDubai, 25 Août 2015

Another town, another Best Western - this time we booked a family room, well actually we booked a superior room only to be told afterwards that it wouldn't accommodate two adults and a child. This isn't the hotels fault really and it was booked online through a TripAdvisor affiliate. The room was very small, so it was problematic to open more than two of our suitcases at the same time - luckily we were just staying for one night. Kudos to the gentleman on reception who was kind enough to make dinner reservations for us in town on the evening we arrived. One word of warning, the hotel is a 20 min walk into town, which is lovely during the day or in the evening, but make sure you take a torch/flashlight with you for the trip back in the near pitch dark roads at night.

"Cute!"
Julia G, 16 Août 2015

We had pre-booked another hotel in Amboise for our 3 night stay, but after that hotel turned out to be a disaster, this hotel was our saving grace! When we drove into Amboise I noticed how it was the nicest Best Western I'd ever seen! Even though the room was a bit small for 3 of us, we were still very comfortable. Good A/C, and very clean bathroom. The staff was also very understanding of our previous hotel situation, and kindly helped us at the last minute. The restaurant downstairs served a delicious dinner too! Loved Amboise, and would stay here again!

"Clean and comfortable"
chrisandun, 15 Août 2015

The hotel is on the outskirts of Amboise but in a very pleasant setting. The room was small but comfortable with wonderful A/C which was a must in the 90+ temperatures we were experiencing. The walk to the center of town is about 20 minutes at a leisurely pace and is downhill; coming back is no hardship and we both enjoyed the exercise. We ate the breakfast at the hotel which was adequate. The elevator was a little worrisome as it would almost stop at the floor and then give a little lurch before finally stopping. We used it only on a few occasions - taking luggage up and down - and walked the other times. The people working there were very helpful and pleasant.

"Noisy"
RevJack-HM08, 14 Août 2015

We stayed here for 5 nights and our room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant food is very good. They offer three special three course meals each night for about 18 euro. Excellent for the price but the wine is extra. There was some noise from doors being opened and closed when people came in during the night. It would be so much better if they could find a way to quiet the sound of the doors closing. The hotel seemed to be filled up every night but most of them are one nighters.

"Great location!"
Lindamaebda, 14 Août 2015

We had a large room with large bathroom and separate toilet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. We had dinner here one night and it was delicious. I would highly recommend eating here. The air conditioning doesn't get very cool. The only drawback are the banging doors. They bang until 11pm and last night they were banging at 3am. They need to find a solution for this problem.

"Excellent Loire Valley Option"
Brad B, 01 Juillet 2015

Excellent value for money in the Loire Valley. The room was bigger than we expected and quite comfortable. Not the greatest shower, but otherwise very good. The breakfast was great, and the service was outstanding, especially at check-in with information on the area, and in allowing us to do laundry. The location is good, but it would be a quite a long walk into Amboise, so a car is recommended.

"Great Amboise Hotel"
Sarah S, 25 Mai 2015

A clean and cheerful hotel with helpful, friendly staff; take advantage of the good breakfast buffet; easy access to Amboise city center and to motorways; great location for central Loire Valley chateaux touring.

"excellent hotel for stay at the Loir valley"
Oded S, 14 Avril 2015

Charming hotel, very friendly stuff, like family hotel feeling and good location for touring the Loir valley. Breakfast was excellent. We ordered dinner which was also very good and we enjoyed the all stay without no complains.

"Best Western LeVinci Hotel"
Sheila W, 22 Octobre 2014

This is a welcoming, clean and very comfortable hotel which was perfect for our overnight stay whilst travelling. Kind and friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Spotless rooms and comfy bed. Highly recommended.

"Great little hotel just out of town"
Paul S, 27 Septembre 2014

Nicely sized rooms, extremely clean, very comfortable bed & pillow, helpful & friendly staff, good breakfast with lots of choices. Great locations just out of town & very quiet. Loved the LED shower head.

"Good location and great staff"
Charles W, 28 Avril 2014

The hotel was very clean, the staff was great, and the breakfast was excellent. Located about a mile from center of town, but an easy walk (I'm 77 years old),which was needed after a big meal. Definitely recommend, unless one is opposed to walking.
