Best Western Yokohama

Being Top Status at BW I received so e extra water bottles and a bigger room. Staff not too fluent in anything but Japanese but really nice. Room was even already double size still a shoe box. Not more than 15m2. Only 1 english program. Had to be cnn...yikes. Anyway. Wifi sometimes faded away. Breakfast was apart. Price was 1100y. They gave me coupons 600Y off. I Wanted to try but 6.30-9.30 is not convenient. Jr Line and KK Line in front. Easy acces to anywhere. Yokohama around 6 miles, Tokyo CBD around 20. Nice option for expensive Japan. Literally in front of KK Station Tsurumi. Safe and convenient. Lots of shops and 2 shopping centers in a 500m radius.

The staff very helpful and friendly, the hotel located near train station, easy access to everywhere.. Very good value for money. The room a bit small but once u lay on ur bed, u forget everything. Thank you for making my trip to Japan wonderful. I will share my exprience with friends and family. Worth every penny. Arigato!

We booked this at a discounted rate and the room is slightly bigger than the usual. It is also a short walk from JR Tsurumi East Exit. There are many eateries around too. Pls walk towards the back to use the lift to reach the reception, else you will have to lift your luggage up the stairs. It is easier to visit Yokohama from the hotel and also the Sea Paradise.

This hotel is well located close to Tsurumi station, which allows you to move everywhere. the front desk staff are really friendly and so kind. even I asked them if they have scale ( since I was tourist there buying a lot of things, clothes, souveniers, chocolates etc ) to male sure the weight of my luggage is still properly

First i should say that I have stayed in Japan many times so I know that some hotels have small rooms. However i booked to stay here, i have to say it was the smallest room I have ever been in, maybe 10 square meters. No storage for cases and a very small en suite. A 3/4 size double bed. On a positive the room was clean. Definitely not big enough in my opinion for 2 people

I stayed for catching up the very early flight from Haneda-Tokyo. Since reasonable hotels were all fully booked, I tried to find a hotel located at a good place for stay where I could access transportation to the airport very easily. Hotel was situated near stations of both Keikyu rail service and JR which has direct connection to the airport within 30 minutes. Hotel Itself was standard Japanese business hotel just for stay. The room was clean and equipped with necessary requirement. The building was a bit old but well maintained. This hotel is just for night stay.

Receptionists were very friendly with great positive energy and they could speak both Japanese and English. The single non-smoking room I stayed in was a bit small but smart and clean, and it came with towels, hair dryer, anti odor machine, shoe cleaner, room slippers and basic toiletries. Close to tsurumi and keikyu-tsurumi stations which is convenient to go to both Yokohama and Tokyo. Nice variety of food for breakfast. Definitely recommend.

The room is good cleanliness. But narrow space and inside the bathroom's is just nice for one person as well. The staff very friendly. Good location to get the train station. Enjoyable and easy walk to go shopping mall. Got one halal restaurant served nan bread and curry nearby the backside hotel. The hotel provided microwave and hot water in the pantry on the lobby floor.

This hotel is very convenient for public transport, which you will need, because it is not actualy in Yokohoma, which is 2 trainstops away. The reception area is good, with a Doutor coffee machine and places to sit. Our room was small, with the usual bed against the wall, but I found the bed more comfortable then average in Japan. Unfortunately there was no inroom safe. After a lot of small bathrooms in Japan I didn't think they could get smaller, but I was wrong... Still sort off functional, but also all a bit dated. They gave us discount buffet breakfast vouchers, 600 yen pp, not sure if this is because we are BW members, but that made it very good value.

Took taxi from Hamada Airport to hotel. Entrance to lobby requires you to use stairs. Not easy with luggage for cruise. Staff warmly welcomed us in good English. Paperwork was processed quickly. Got keys for room on 6th floor. Rate was with breakfast. Room small but clean and comfortable. AC wall unit very effective and quiet. We had a great sleep. Breakfast buffet was extensive and had Asian and western items available. Really enjoyed stay. Hotel 2 blocks from major train station. Rate was very low at $85.

This hotel is just about 5 minutes walking from Tsurumi station, Room and toilet was good. The staff was warm and welcome. For breakfst, I like the curry, taste like the coco churry <3 I would like to stay here again if i go to yokohama :)

i love everything inside the room. eventho the room quite small for me but the best is so comfy. The room was so clean and neat. The bathroom was fine. Water heather in good condition. love the shower gel. good price and the staff very friendly and very helpful.

We stayed her on the ultimate night of our recent trip to Japan. The hotel is located right nest to Tsurumi Station on the JR lines and also right nest to the Keikyo line that goes out to Haneda airport. It's also no more than a couple of hundred metres from Toyota Rent-a-Car's Tsurumi office. Rooms are compact but clean, equipment is nice and staff are helpful. We'd recommend this place for sure. Just remember to plug your keycard into the wall, or not all the lights will work :)

The Hotel is within 5 mins walking distance from Tsurumi metro & JR Station. The Hotel was neat & clean. Rooms are tight & small. Comfortable bed. Aircon worked well. Adequate toiletries. Breakfast reasonably good spread of western & local dishes Lots of restaurants in the vicinity. Avoid rooms towards the rail tracks. The railways operate almost till midnight & resumes again early hours

Firstly, the property is actually in Tsurumi, not central Yokohama, so if you plan to arrive by train make sure you alight at either of the Tsurumi stations (Keikyu or JR). The hotel is literally a couple of minutes' walk, although the Keikyu station is marginally closer. It's kind of tucked away but there's a sandwich board outside indicating its presence. Reception is small but modern, and the staff are helpful, if not altogether proficient in English (as is common in Japan). I had a single room, which was incredibly small (even by Japanese standards), however I simply cannot moan given the price I paid for 8 nights (under GBP200). The room comes with all the necessaries you might need for an extended stay, such as tea/coffee making facilities, toiletries and a fridge. Maid service is daily, although you have the option of hanging a notice on your door informing the staff that you wish to 'go green' by using the same towels, etc. for more than just one day. The location is perhaps the best thing about this hotel - right in the centre of Tsurumi, and only 20 minutes by train to Haneda airport. Narita airport can also be easily reached, with a through ticket on the Keikyu line (with a change at Kamata). There are several shops, bars and eateries within a minute's walk, and a large(ish) and very cheap supermarket just the other side of JR Tsurumi station. A little further and you'll find the local McDonald's. Despite the very small room/bathroom size this is an excellent hotel, with the price certainly not being reflective of the quality (I'd typically expect to pay more for such a property). It's right in the middle of everything, has easy connections to the city of Tokyo and its airports, and is very clean and cosy. To put the icing on the cake, the free in-room wi-fi works a treat!

This hotel is your standard Japanese style business hotel. Prices are generally comparable if not sometimes cheaper than other business hotels in the area. Rooms are small (but standard for Japanese business hotels) , I usually get upgraded to a slightly larger queen since I am a Diamond member. A free bottle of water is provided as well for elite members. I like to use the hotel sometimes If I fly into/out of Haneda if there is an very early morning or late arrival flight. The hotel can be reach by a direct Keikyu express train in about 15 minutes from the Airport. The hotel itself is near Keikyu Tsurumi Station and JR Tsurumi Station (Keihin Tohoku Line) only 3-5 minutes walk. So there is easy access into Central Tokyo. The area around the hotel has cafes, restaurants, izakayas and convenience stores so there's something to get a bite to eat when you need. Don't expect much, but it's not a bad budget place to stay for a night or so if you have a flight into/out of Haneda Airport.

The hotel is located just 20min by train from Tokyo Haneda airport, so useful to relax when one is flying out at e.g. 1am. Better than waiting at the airport. Nice yukata in the room. Wifi very good. There is a bar fridge so bring own milk and coffee. Nice shampoo, hair conditioner and shower gel. Even a razor. Restaurant is not open in evening so get takeaway close by.

If I had a complaint it would be rooms way to small otherwise excellent. Staff always helpful and courteous .Ilove Japan will visit again.We spent a month every where we went we loved...a great people.

The staff are very robotic and sometimes can be accommodating. I was able to early check-in 1 hour early which was nice of the staff, but at first they weren't going to do it. They charge for early check-in 1,000 JPY. The rooms are SUPER small and cramped. We had our luggage and very small walking space. In the bathroom same problem. Toliet sink within a few inches of each other and the shower/tub I barely could stand in there. Think twice before booking this hotel. I was able to use BW points.

The place is conveniently located beside Tsurumi station, which is very convenient coming from touring whole day. The room is small, but clean and well-kept. The buffet breakfast is ok. My only issue is that the walls aren't that soundproof, and that during our stay, the rooms beside us are very rowdy and noisy. I reported them to the reception, but I have to call them twice before the noise finally went down.

This hotel is clean and neat. In a good location, 5 minute walk to subway station. The staff are friendly and helpful. Many restaurants nearby. Bed was comfortable. The on site restaurant has a wonderful breakfast buffet. I will add this is the smallest hotel room I have ever been in. I understand that it is common for Tokyo. There was room under the bed for my rolling duffle bag and some hangers on the wall. That is your clothes storage options.

Close to Tsurami Keiku Station. (EAST exit from JR station) Large supermarket at the JR station. Breakfast simple but cheap 800yen. One of the smaller bathrooms we have encountered. Entrance up stairs from street level. Coin laundry on 8th floor 300yen wash and 100yen 30mins dryer. 'Cafe Veloce' close by for cheap coffee and light meals.

i stay here one night . It is very good deal but the noise of train can enter to the room make me unable to sleep for all night. without noise i would come back again but the amenities are all good. The comfortable in room is all good. except the noise. staff are good and courtesy and helpful.

This was my second time to this hotel and it was a pleasant experience. For the price we paying, This was value for money hotel. Clean and located within 7 minutes walk to the Tsurumi station. Strategically located and near to all the sight seeing places. Shinigawa, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku. Also near to Yokohama city itself. So it's a nice place to stay if u intend to go Yokohama and Tokyo. I will definitely come and stay again Pros: - Love the location. 7 min walk to the train station. - Room is small but very clean. - Near to Tokyo and Yokohama. - English speaking hotel counter staff - Have many 24 hrs convenient stores nearby. - Near to Haneda airport. Cons: - Small room. - Small toilet. If u six footer u will have trouble bathing. Hehe.

If you are on a budget, this is absolutely the best deal in the Tokyo metropolitan area, and this is from someone who travels to Japan 6 times per year over the past 7 years. The room size is reflected in the price, its tiny, but the bed is comfortable and has everything one needs. The wifi works well and the room somehow even has a refrigerator... What is not reflected in the price is the fact that 2 major train stations are within 3 or 5 minutes walk and that there are a lot of really good restaurants nearby. The Japanese restaurants across the street actually have English menus, making for an authentic eating experience without the stress... Back to Location. Haneda Airport is a straight shot on Keikyu line about 20 minutes, so this can actually work as an airport hotel. The JR line can bring you into downtown Tokyo in 15 minutes, or Yokohama in as little as 20 if you take the express. Make sure that you are clear about a "smoking" or "non smoking room" when you reserve, or you will regret it if the option is not available... Sometimes I use this hotel as just a landing point from the US, because after a long trans-pacific flight in economy, any room seems like luxury, and of course when I have an early flight out of Haneda, its also a bargain for the price, for the inconvenience of another 7 - 10 minutes in the train... Regardless, I think that this is the best deal in town for the budget traveler.

Perfect hotel with clean and fresh rooms, close to the JB train station with easy access for Tokyo. Excellent breakfast and service. There are a lot of nice dining options around in the area. I can highly recomand this hotel.

My room was pretty small (single)but was very clean bedding changed daily bed comfortable, very small bathroom , ask for non smoking if you require it. The staff were friendly and helpful train station and lots of small restaurants nearby.

Available at no train transfer from Haneda Airport. 3. There is a place that can be meal inexpensively late at night, even early in the morning to close. 4. The room is not a problem except that is narrow.

Located near Tsurumi JR Station and Keikyu-Tsurumi Station (5 min walks), this minimalist and cheap hotel is a good place to stay in Japan. Easy access to public transport (Train & city bus). Several 24 hours convenience stores and restaurants nearby. We got standard room (with 1 semi-double bed) with very affordable price (around 39 US$/night - non breakfast). Room facilities are good and complete. There's no cupboard for your bag / carriers..but you can put them under the bed. There's plenty of space. Hotel's staff very nice. Even with minimal English understanding, they know what we want.

Hotel staff were very friendly. Hotel was very close to the train station. Rooms are very small but comfy. The breakfast is not automatically included as it seems to state on the website, or as with other Best Western usually do.

Choose it, if you would like to stay within the territory of Tokyo agglomeration close to transportation hub for 50$ per night and, moreover, in case you return to your room so tired you fall to sleep at once. Rooms are very small (there is no space even to open your suitcase wide), but are very clean and equipped with everything required to sustain human life, even if you forget to bring your toothbrush or pijama. Tablet and excellent wi-fi are also in the list of room equipment. You'd better speak Japanese. NB: 1) Close your window at night or sleep in earplugs as trains are passing just near windows. 2) Of chores, there are kettles in rooms, but it's not easy to find space to place it near the socket.

I travel to Japan for work frequently and am used to the Japan standard for hotel size. The number of 4 star ratings here is astonishing for this particular hotel. The room here is smaller than even the "normal small" for Japan. They reduce the size passing the threshold of functional - you will surely encounter the following: 1) No place to put your luggage. I have a 24" hardshell suitcase, which is small for international travel. The only option is to open it on the bed. When you do that, you have NO space left to place clothes that would take out of your suitcase. 2) You will curse all day as you bang into everything and likely leave with bruises. They are scruff marks on the wall, furniture, frig from other guests bang things into things. 3) Sound insulation does not exist, period. Because the rooms are so tightly packed together, you can hear everything next door. I've gotten woke up by the JR line running by, by neighboring guest checking in late and sorting their stuff at midnight and banging into everything, by other walking in and out of their rooms and door locking. 4) Touchy and weak WiFi. With both Docomo and Softbank routers at every floor by the elevator, it's amazing I can't seem to get a stable/strong signal in the room. 5) Floor with mixed smoking and non-smoking room means smoke will permeate into your room whether you like it or not. Since my March visit, I noticed they cut down the amenities. They now only give you 1 pack of coffee and 1 pack of tea. They also removed the disposable bath sponge but yet do not have wash towel. Bath amenities are large bottles from Pola, which are terribly. They are incredibly drying for your hair and skin - you best bring your own stuff. Breakfast is not included in the room rate when most of its competitors do. The 1000YEN + 8% tax =1080YEN/day breakfast is as crappy as it gets. Aside from the automatic coffee machine, there is no redeeming quality food items. With endless of convenience store within 2 blocks radius, you can spend 350-450YEN and have a much better tasting bread, coffee and maybe some fresh fruit or salad. Or spend 500-600 YEN on a hot egg&sausage breakfast with fresh coffee. If you are loyal to the Best Western chain, then your choice is limited in around Tokyo and Yokohama. If you are not brand-loyal, then there are plenty of better choices around.

The room (double bed) may be a bit small for some but for us it's quite ok. Breakfast is very good - a mix of american and oriental food (Choose the with breakfast option to get the best value for your money). The hotel is also very near Keikyu Tsurumi and Tsurumi train stations and a mall. Around the hotel are various small bars, restaurants and convenience stores but over-all the neighborhood is still quiet and is very safe to walk around at night.

Easy to find location near Kiekyu Tsurumi & JR Yamanote subway line. About 20 minutes from Haneda airport. A lot of restaurants and shopping nearby. The staff are all very helpful and welcoming! Rooms are regular size for Japan - ie = small by American standards but are clean and tidy.

Small but clean room. Nowhere to put luggage. If we left cases on floor, no walkway. If we lifted up on bed, no bed. Offered us later checkout but they wanted us to pay Y1080 per extra hour! Breakfast was also an extra Y1080. No thanks. Much better value elsewhere. In room info screen we couldn't turn off. Very noisy from nearby train stations, so not a great sleep.

Stayed 1 night. 5 min walk to Tsurumi station where so far close to China town in Yokohama. Good typical Japanese breakfast served. Room was bit narrow for 2 people but bed itself was comfortable.

We stayed here for 4 nights as we didn't want to pay Tokyo prices for a western hotel. We weren't disappointed as the hotel was clean staff friendly with basic English. Price was great, rooms were good, after reading how small they are I was pleasantly surprised with the twin bed room. It was easy to get into Tokyo as the train station is very close. After finding our feet with the train system it was easy to find our way around from Tsurumi. Breakfast was also very good make sure you get it included in the room rate! I took 1 star off because on the last morning there was no hot water which was the only time we encountered this issue.

Instead of staying in a Capsule Hotel or a hostel, this is also one of a good choice to stay. You have your own room with ensuite bathroom. You also have a breakfast which is great. The price is inclusive of daily breakfast that make you save a lot. Hotel is located nearby JR Tsurumi Station and Keiky? Tsurumi Station that lead you to Yokohama station and easy to access to Tokyo Cnetral. There's a lot of restaurants and super market close to the hotel. I've got a special price buy 3 pay 2 from Best Western' s official website. Only 4800 yen ( THB 1500 ) per night with full breakfast.

I was in town for a business meeting and had to find a hotel for my 2nd night, due to the prefer hotel being sold out. I picked Best Western Yokohama thinking I had decent experience with the Best Western brand and it would be a safe bet - but pretty disappointed... I am very sure I will not be coming back unless all other hotels are sold out. Good things out of the way first: 1) Staff are polite and efficient. They speak enough English to get you through your stay. 2) Very convenient location, next to subway and JR stations. Here comes the negative: 1) TINY - Even by Japanese standard, this is place is TINY. I live in SF Bay Area and Silicon Valley is known to have tight spaces. The walk-in closet of my 500 sq ft small apartment is bigger than the entire room here including the bathroom. Swap and repack my work attire for casual clothing was so much of a hassle because the space is so small with no place to have a carry-on size suitcase horizontally. 2) NOISY - That convenience of close to the public transit station really bites. With window fully shut, the loud train noise and rumbling were super hard to ignore. Given Japan has a very developed transit system, the frequencies of train seems like once every 1-2 minutes. Forget about getting a good night of sleep... As I am writing this review, I heard 3 trains blew by in 1 minute. 3) Bathroom is of micro size. The pictures posted on this site are very misleading because they don't give you the property prospective. I am 5'8 and standing in the shower, my head is only one inch from hitting the ceiling. The tub is very small and you will not be able to take a bath - it merely acts as a basin for the shower. The bathroom is definitely not clean - dirt and mold looking stuff are easy to find. 4) Almost non-existent furnishing. Because of the TINY room size, there is no night stand, one small chair, no luggage wrack, and not even a proper closet hanger rod. The desk is made out of a small triangular wedge and about 40% of surface were occupied by hotel items... Sitting in front of the desk means half of my laptop is hanging over the edge and my knee cap hits the wall... This place is probably OK if you come with just a small bag with intend to sleep and brush your teeth. I can't imagine this being a good place for vacation - it's pretty depressing.

Small Hotel with excellent service and good location. near to Station, restaurant, convenience store and quiet environment at night. Room is clean and complete. Rather is too small for 2 people with luggage, but if you just want to sleep it's OK. Breakfast come with various menu and it's delicious. Will back again for sure.

Strategic location, good amenities (except for drain problem), warm friendly staff. Value for money. Breakfast variety very good. Room a bit small but very cozy and comfortable. Bed very comfortable. Room has heater. Very close to the train station and food establishments.

I have a few major complaints. I'm not a disgruntled person but my room was not exactly clean. Walls were marked up in the room and the bathroom was disgusting. There was a lot of mildew buildup behind the mirror from the shower and my shower was not clean. The tub and smelled like urine. Will not stay here again.

This is a budget hotel so no swiming pools, nightclubs etc. But the rooms (although tiny) are clean and the breakfast selection is quite good. This hotel is a few minutes walk from Keikyu Tsurumi station as well as the JR Tsurumi station. This hotel is located in a very convenient location with easy subway access to Tokyo or Yokohama. Only about 20 minutes away from Haneda airport via Keikyu subway line. Many places to eat, shop and play pachinko ... all within 10 minutes walk.

Ok, so initially I thought this place wasn't so bad, but the longer you stay the worse it gets (we only stayed 2 nights) Pros: close to tsurumi Station The staff are friendly, polite and helpful but they are flogging a looooong dead horse Cons: where to start... Tiny rooms (have stayed all over Japan, these are TINY) No fan in bathroom (or didn't work) so when you do your morning business the whole place STINKS They seem to rip people off, we spoke to other guests who payed much less than us, despite booking at similar times and us scanning all websites for best prices The breakfast is TERRIBLE, seriously, practically inedible. Don't get it. Just go to the Lawsons or similar The beds are absolutely clapped out, you can feel each individual spring and the pillows are hard, flat and lumpy. Worst. Pillows. In. Japan. I generally don't "hate" on things but you can do better than staying here. Just book somewhere else.

Good location from JR Tsurumi station also a quick ride to Haneda airport from this location. For the price a reasonable room albeit on the small side but clean and comfortable. A large department store near by for personal needs. There are several Japanese style restaurants within walking distance and lots of 24/7 mini markets.

Only a couple minutes walk from either Kieku Tsurumi ot the JR subway station. Many places to eat within easy walking distance. This is a typical Japanese business hotel which means small (but clean) rooms and limited amenities (like no swimming pool/bar/club etc).

We were looking for a hotel nearby train station and to stay only a night before travelling to other city. We arrived after 7pm and we must check-out before 8am the next day. To me the hotel price and location wise were great, size was too small, cannot put big luggage. All rooms are smoking rooms, so I didn't like the room smell, even though they provided air purifier machine. Overall, fine for transit visit only.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The rooms and bathrooms are small, not surprising for Japan. We booked two double beds. I've stayed been smaller places throughout Japan, so nothing new to complain about. The only strange issue was the random sofa that was place in front of the beds, cutting out a lot of floor space to walked around and leaving our luggage on the floor; made do by hopping on the sofa to get to the other side :) . Came with complimentary hotel room basics such as tooth brushes, slippers, tea and coffee. Hot water kettle. Mini fridge. Good for the value!

This hotel is excellent for service,location,comfort and above all value. Hotel staff,particularly rooms division manager Mr fuzi, were very helpful. Rooms have all the amenities. Complimentary hot breakfast had lot of variety and breakfast servers were very pleasant. Hotel is located at a short walking distance to JR train station.

I slept only one night in the hotel, just before taking a plane to London. I was surprised by the tablet on the room and the comfort of the bed. Although my biggest issue was the smell of tobacco remaining in the room, the hotel has little non smoking rooms. The best part was that is surrounded by restaurants, bars and inside the hotel there is washing machine and drier, perfect for a traveler like me. The breakfast its a great option.

Was a great bang for the buck. Close to everything. Never realized how small business hotel are in Japan. Hotel staff at this place made it like home. They always went out of their way to serve us. break fast was the best buffet style i had seen at a hotel at this price.

Nice place to stay , rooms small - as are most rooms in this price range. Good breakfast, clean rooms with toiletries. An inexpensive , clean , hotel that is easily accessible from the Kiekyu or JR subway stations

Since I rely on public transportation during the trip, this hotel was really great and helpful! Just minutes away from Tsurumi Station. Reasonable price as per it's location and service. Helpful and friendly staff in 24 hours. Room was clean and good. You'll just surprised by it's size (imagine the room is for two people). But everything you need was there, even for your shoe polish :) Love their pajama though!
