Best Western Winchester Hotel

The manager of the hotel has terrible public relation skills and is very threatening when he has an issue to deal with, be sure to check your bill at checkout especially if you have a pet. I would not recommend staying at this hotel

The hotel is about 35 miles from the Gorge. It was quiet. Beds comfortable, Clean. Older hotel so bathrooms were small, but the shower had great water pressure. It was close to many places to eat and shop. Breakfast had a wide variety with items for special diets, like glutan free. This is our second time staying here and there will probably be a third.

During our trip from NC to our home in Missouri, we spent one night in Winchester. Although this hotel isn't fancy, it was excellent. It was clean and quiet. The beds were excellent. The staff was excellent and we enjoyed the breakfast very much. We would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely non smoking rooms, clean without the smell of that terrible cleaner most places use. No rattling single unit AC. Motel property with great upscale rooms and huge breakfast. Quiet location. Pool included but we arrived late so didn't go. Super gem of a place.

The hotel staff are very friendly. The room was immaculate. We were able to park right by our door. I am allergic to dogs and asked for a room that was not used as a pet friendly room and I was accommodated. This has been a problem in other hotels in the past.

After traveling for a week, we spent our last night in Best Western of Winchester, KY. Our room was by far the best we had during this trip. Immaculate, comfortable, fully equipped, good internet, TV and a breakfast filled with hot and cold options. The staff was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Overall great experience.

We usually travel with our camper, so this was a change. It was a great old timey motel. Very clean. Enjoyed being to park right in front of our room. Could have had more breakfast selections, but was ok.

Our family stayed one night along with other families from out church to visit an attraction in the area. While this is an older motel it is very clean, well updated and provided an excellent stay. The bathrooms are very small but didn't bother us. The beds were comfortable and the pool area was great. Breakfast was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. Everything about our stay was positive.

Nice rooms. Very friendly staff. Incredible breakfast!!! I can't believe how many options they had at the breakfast buffet. Scrambled eggs, toast, hot donuts, muffins, potatoes, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruits including pineapple, eight different juices, cereals, boiled eggs, dairy -free and gluten-free options, and a whole bunch of other things. It was very impressive how much they care about their guests.

A friendly staff, a comfortable room and a spacious pool (though unheated) were waiting for me after a long driving day from North Carolina. I even asked for, and got, a ground-floor room, which I prefer because of having to load and unload luggage from my car. Beware, though, the hotel is easy to miss, being tucked away on a city street among other businesses.

Pleasant ,back off the road hotel. Older but rooms have been updated. Clean and beds were comfortable. Pool good but too cold to stay in long. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would stay again. only issue internet ws a little spotty.

I decided to stay here during a road trip. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. For a fair price, you get a clean and quiet room. My only complaint was that the exhaust fan in the bathroom was very noisy. All in all, I was very pleased with everything and would definitely stay here again in the future

This is an old facility that was obviously upgraded as cheaply as possible to BARELY achieve approval for Best Western status. Mold issues in various locations that are merely painted over (which doesn't hide the problem for long) along with shower overlay inserts where mold was merely covered up and is showing through the caulk seal in spots. Best thing about this location is the breakfast, but not much else measures up to any of my previous Best Western stays.

It is older but in good condition. The room was clean. Only one issue we had with the place. It was noisy AC not working correctly. The desk clerk came in and fixed it. The breakfast was in the check-in building and had good assortment of fresh food, fruit, hot and cold drinks.

We have stayed at the Best Western in Winchester Ky numerous times in the past few years. Always clean. Friendly Staff. Close to Lexington. Better value than motels in Lexington. The town of Winchester has really improved the downtown area with upscale restaurants and bar area's.

Great stay clean . The breakfast was awesome. Breakfast area well maintained. Highly recommended this Best Western. It was great for the money. We will return on our next visit to see family. Many Amenities around the area

The room was clean and quiet. We forgot a corkscrew, but the front desk manager had one. The breakfast was the best we ever had at a Best Western, and at a motel, in our memory~ the manager recommended two good restaurants, and we were very pleased with his suggestion. We would stay here again.

We picked this hotel based on reviews of cleanliness and they were right. This place is small and family run and the owners do all the work themselves it looks like. It was extremely clean, beds were comfy, and best of all it included a breakfast that was fantastic! We needed to be in Lexington but the prices were too much so we found this place and it turns out it was only 18 mins from the east side of Lexington. Easy route in. Very impressed and highly recommend.

We were traveling across Eastern US on vacation, We experienced very helpful staff at this location, The beds were very comfortable, and felt very very safe. The breakfast was nice and hot and much variety

One of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed at along with the best breakfast spread ever! The bed was super comfortable! The stair areas are well lit and feel safe and secure. The shower was clean, and the shower head was strong. Perfect stay!

Excellent breakfast with hot food eggs, sausage patties, biscuits gravy, lots of cereal choices. Coffee all the time. Friendly staff. Clean room. Would stay again. Traffic was loud at times with occasional sirens.

This was a beautiful hotel. It was older but in excellent condition.. The room was very clean and spotless.. The beds were comfortable and the bedspreads looked to new. The morning breakfast was excellent. And the best part was all this for a great value. We will definitely stay here again when we come this way.

We spent one night in this Best Western on a westward trip. It was a very pleasant stay. I was a little concerned when we approached the motel. It's rare nowadays to park right outside the room but my concerns were unwarranted. The place was in a nice neighborhood and the breakfast was one of the best we've encountered at a Best Western.

We have stayed at this motel many times in the past. Very clean and accommodating. The owner has always been very detailed in her business. Unfortunately I found out she passed away this past year. I believe that her family has taken over. They are continuing the tradition. We will definitely stay there again.

Everything was very clean, all of the staff were very friendly. My dog & I slept very comfortably, well rested. Breakfast was delicious, nice variety of fresh fruit, pastries, etc. I would definitely stay at this location again!

Unkempt. No dog area w/out taking you life in your hands. Room smelled. Not sure what the bed was made of. Neighbors had staff come change ALL THE BEDDING IN THEIR ROOM All parking lot, NO place for dog to potty except on driveway.

The staff here made our trip enjoyable. They we very accommodating. Went out of their way for our family and small children to make sure they had a good time. The breakfast was great! Lots of options and everything stayed full during the breakfast rush. Very pleasant experience!

Check in was quick and friendly. Acknowledged me in being a Best Western member. Room was clean. Bathtub was clean. Breakfast was good. A variety of choices. There were at least 12 different juice choices. Dining area and food area were kept clean. Would stay here again if traveling that way. Only downfall the AC was loud when it started up.

The hotel was clean and quiet! Staff were very accommodating and the owner/manager lives on site and was very helpful! Breakfast was delicious! It's a short drive to town and tons of restaurant options. The pet fee is very reasonable! The pet relief area is a little difficult to access but otherwise our stay was great!

I can't say enough great things about my stay... Great Check-in, spotless room, well-lit parking lot and stairwells, slept all night-great mattress with crisp sheets, great shower! Thank you for this!!

Kept up over the years. I grew up in the town and remember when the hotel was built. Yes. I am that old ! The campus is clean and well maintained. The room, somewhat small but neat and orderly. The furnishings are aesthetically dated but functional. Beds plain but comfortable for one or two nights.

Do not be fooled by the "motel" vibe you may get when you pull up. The rooms are nice and the staff are super friendly. We had a room by the ice machine. That was convenient! I would stay here again if in the area in the future.

Very nicely maintained motel. Very friendly front desk person. It is away from the freeway and convenient to downtown Winchester. Room was clean and up to date. Very large TV with good channel selection, quality wi-fi. Very comfortable bed. Will definitely stay here again!

While this is only listed as a two star hotel, its breakfast was five star amazing. It had many of the standards, but it also had at least seven types of juices, including mango and guava nectars. Fresh fruit, including apples, bananas, fresh pineapple. Special toppings for oatmeals and at least 10 kinds of cereals, including two gluten free offerings. Hot sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes. Yogurts, chocolate milk and almond milk--just too many things to list. You will go away satisfied. The room itself was very clean with plenty of outlets for electronics. The bathroom was a bit small, but this is an older hotel. The new owners have done a terrific job of redoing the rooms and providing a pleasant experience.

Best hotel ever love the space and the beds are comfortable to sleep in and best breakfast area and I love the ice machine it was right out side of our door so I could just walk to it easier and the room was nice and clean.

At first this motel seemed a little off the beaten path but after checking in we found it to be really nice. The rooms were clean and the heating system worked really well. It kept the room at an even temperature, not too hot and not too cold. In the morning the free breakfast was a nice variety and very good. The coffee was very good too. We were just passing thru but if we are in the area again we would definitely stay there again. The price was reasonable also.

Upon arrival, this looked like an older motel that had been bought by Best Western; I didn't have very high hopes. But, it was lovely! The room was very clean, the bed and pillows were really comfy, and it was nicely updated, and quiet - which is a big deal for us! In the morning we went to get coffee, and found they had the NICEST breakfast!!! The staff was polite and friendly. The entire experience was wonderful!

Intended to stay 1 night but ended up staying for 2 nights. I had 2 different rooms as I had checked out after my 1st night. Both rooms were clean and quiet. Room 102's heater fan was considerably louder than the first room. Bed and bath linens, and furniture were clean. I detected a bit of an underlying stale smoke odor when entering both rooms even though they were non-smoking. The area seemed safe, no loud parties or loitering on the property. Plenty of parking. Front desk staff was pleasant. Would stay again when visiting the area.

Breakfast was horrible smelly eggs and the juice machine was filthy it sludges in my cup. No hot coco or hot water for tea, it was 28 degrees when we arrived. Room was dirty. Used to love this place but they changed owners and you can definitely tell.

We always get good service from Best Western hotels We are Gold members We went into our room and it smelled like a wet cigarette and I went back to front desk to get another room and the lady at the front desk was aggravated that I wanted to change She gave me a can of air freshener to spray the room which made it smell like a wet strawberry cigarette couldn't believe we were treated that way We should of left but we had been driving all day . We were going to sleep in but the smell was beyond awful So we got up before daylight and left the same lady was there didn't ask how our stay was she knew better We stayed in room 122 Everything in this room needs to be thrown away We stayed November 5th You should should be amazed by your employee

The room was nice and spacious. The heat worked really well and the rooms was well insulated. I also like the outside entrance to the room since I usually travel with a bicycle in the car. It makes for much easier loading and unloading the car. The breakfast setup was most impressive (considering the small space). There were so many choices. I looked forward to breakfast each day. They even had Thomas' English Muffins!! It's also a great location if you enjoy Ale-8. Ale-8 bottling is less than a mile away.

Very clean; QUIET; and reasonably priced. Great nights sleep. Tired & sick after leaving Omaha, NE on way to VA, you never know what you will get when searching online. This was a great spot for anyone needing to rest & reset! Very nice at front desk.

Even though this is an older hotel with outside entrances, this was an excellent place to stay and very clean. The breakfast was excellent with many choices. This place is very well maintained and very comfortable rooms. The manager and the 2 workers that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The value for the money is well worth the stay. This is not far from Lexington and a much better stay than we've had in a long time.

We weren't sure at first. After checking in, there were a lot of people hanging out on the stairs near our room, and we could hear them talking while in our room. When we came back after dinner later that night, the parking lot was full, but there were no people hanging around anymore. We had a good night's sleep and weren't disturbed. The room was clean and comfortable...just a few minor bathroom issues (very slow shower drain, toilet paper roll not secured to the wall). The employees we encountered were nice. The breakfast was amazing considering that it was in the small lobby area. There were some tasty hot items, and a huge selection of everything else. It looked like a lot of things were homemade. It was better than what you would find at a lot of larger, more expensive hotels. This hotel was a great deal, near lots of shopping and restaurants, and I would stay here again.

My wife and I were impressed with our room, It had a pleasant clean smell and the bed slept great. The location was just off the freeway and close to a great place called DJ'S where we went for our supper. Food was awesome!

Other than the hotel lobby being across a small parking lot from the hotel rooms, everything was good. The breakfast was good, the room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, all at a good price.

Great stay at a reasonable price! Family owned by a woman and her employees obviously care about your satisfaction. This hotel breakfast should be a model for all best westerns to follow! No one expects a gourmet breakfast at many best westerns, but this owners does it right. She has many amenities, that you will never see at typical best westerns. Excellent clean hotel with a good breakfast selection including gluten free options!

We were late getting in but were warmly greeted and we were welcome to a late check out. Everything was explained in detail and our room was very clean and quiet, we enjoyed a very restful nights rest.

The location was bad the room was outdated and everything in there felt dirty and greasy, even the bedding felt dirty and the sheets were yellow and dingy there was no parking for our trailer and I never felt safe there

Hotel was clean, staff great. The room we were assigned had smoke odor, even though this is a non-smoking property. We were promptly assigned another room, which was fine. We received a phone call shortly after arriving in our room to make sure it was satisfactory. Bed comfy, pool open, room very clean. Breakfast had some hot food as well as usual yogurt, cereal etc. Would stay again!

This motel is in a small town in KY. We have stayed here 3 times in the past 5 years. We always come back because the place is very clean, the staff is excellent. The owner is very attentive to detail and will do anything she can to make your stay great. Wonderful continental breakfast. Rooms are large and clean. The Best Western name is what first brought us here but the owner and staff is the reason we come back!

The staff was really nice and helpful. When they saw a cooler in my hand they offered to fill it up with the ice and helped me with my luggage as well the stay was good, bed was comfortable and breakfast was hot and had plenty of options. Will definitely stay here again

Really nice place! Pretty easy access from the interstate, but far enough to avoid the highway noise. Room was very clean, beds comfortable, good TV and wifi, plenty of hot water for showers. We travel with our dogs, which are allowed in pet rooms only; but the cleanliness and “smell” were no different From other areas. According to the in-room brochure, they have free evening snacks and coffee, but the clerk said that was suspended due to covid (which didn't make sense since they still have self serve breakfast???????). Breakfast was best I've seen in all our travels outside of a bed & breakfast! Sausage, biscuits, gravy, French toast, scrambled eggs, potatoes, yogurt, pastries, individually wrapped slices of watermelon, pineapple, and cantalope, 6 different cereal choices and More. Only drawback was that there aren't great areas to walk dogs. Would definitely stay here again!

There is so much to recommend about this hotel! I was visiting the Red River Gorge area for the first time and looking for a reasonably-priced hotel. It was easy to find coming from the highway. The shower had very hot water with OK pressure. The wifi worked. The fridge and TV worked. The room was large. (The bathroom was on the small side.) The towels were nice. The hotel is non-smoking with a smoking shack. When I entered, the room had a slight odor (but not of smoke). The lighting was just OK, but the room had a lot of plugs. The hotel has an outdoor pool. The hotel's breakfast was AMAZING: scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits, gravy, cereals, yogurt, lots of fresh fruit, bagels, bread, hard boiled eggs, coffee, drinks, and sweet treats. WOW! My only disappointment was in the air conditioning. It was the loudest I have ever experienced and seemed to vibrate the room when it was on. (The cold air seemed to come out of a vent in the wall under the sink.) I am a fairly light sleeper, and I could not sleep when it was on. I turned the thermostat up so it would come on less, but then I was hot. I really, really wanted to love this hotel, but with my poor sleep experience, I just couldn't.

Clean and centrally located. Would stay again. Excellent service and breakfast. Easy check in and check out. Rooms were updated and seemed relatively new. Close to restaurants and shopping. If in the area would recommend.

Clean rooms great pool food good front desk very friendly check in fast check out fast, quiet area, rooms were ready. I like the hours for breakfast starts very early but also last till 9:30..we will be back

My stay was very very satisfactory, I was really impressed with Best Western providing free breakfast, what a great treat, because you don't see this much at other hotel/motel. the staff was great to.

refrigerator did not work. They made no effort to fix it. Barking dog next door. Hotel was full Friday and Saturday night. Not enough parking spaces. I had to wait to leave Saturday morning until some one moved their car the front desk did not take any vehicle information so they had no idea whose car it was

Clean. Comfortable. Easy and very safe checkin and out. Good price. Easy On and off major highway, but quiet. 1st floor park at door to room. Felt safe. Numerous places to eat close by. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was surprisingly good. They serve you. Not a buffet and mask required in lobby.

We were only there for one night but had a very comfortable stay. It's obvious that it's an older building but the room was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff for both check in and check out were quite pleasant and the Covid related precautions that were taken were very impressive.

I would stay here again. The staff were most helpful. The fact they take dogs and are nice about it and understand what traveling with an animal entails is very helpful. The air conditioning worked fast which is a big plus.

We live in Winchester and have passed this hotel 100's of times but we had to stay a night here after our electric messed up. We wasn't sure about the stay because it is an older hotel.Glad we stayed instead of paying more down the street.The staff is all real nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and had no problems. The day of check out the owner made sure we had breakfast items and kept asking was we sure we didn't want anything else. I would stay here again if i needed to.

My father became ill in his trip home to michigan from florida and was admitted to a winchester hospital. traveled with other family members. the staff here went above and beyond which was nice during this difficult time.

Staff were great! Couldn't get sleep, the bed & chair were the most uncomfortable pieces of furniture I've ever had the displeasure of trying to rest on. Had to sleep at home to recover from the room.

It is always a pleasure to visit Mrs. Shah's BW in Winchester, KY. The location is quiet, clean and friendly. Even during COVID, we have stayed several times as we drive back and forth from VA to MO and have always found the establishment welcoming and safe. Mrs. Shah always provides wonderful take-away breakfasts for her guests and her staff is the best.

Clean room - easy access - the front desk representative was extremely helpful - comfortable bed, a nice TV, and a good shower (nothing much more needed for a new overnight). Offers a limited "pick to go" breakfast which is nice. A good choice overall.

My wife and I work for banks and mortgage companies all over Kentucky and Indiana. We stayed at this hotel for a night when we had a job that took two whole days to complete. We did check around town for a place that was nice and not too expensive. That was this Best Western. The staff was very nice, the room was very comfortable. I had a long hot shower, very relaxing. Nice size TV. Excellent breakfast the next morning. Overall a great experience.

Every month on our anniversary I buy my wife flowers. This was the first month that my wife was traveling home, so I called to ask if they could put flowers in her room. Ruby was kind enough to supply a beautiful bouquet! Thanks Ruby thanks Best Western.

I stayed for one night on my way to St. Louis. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was. The room was as clean as it could be. The front desk was efficient and helpful. The breakfast had items individually wrapped for additional precaution during Covid. I would definitely want to stay here again.

We were driving past the hotel on the way to Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge, so we asked if we could get checked in early. We did, and while one of them worked on that, another asked if we wanted some breakfast. Our room had a couch and a kitchenette. Would stay here again for sure. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Read a lot of reviews before staying here. Most were good, some were not. It's an older style hotel, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed overnight while traveling, so we were just looking for a bed and clean bathroom. My wife, whole can spot a problem a mile away, felt comfortable enough to take a bath in the tub. Rooms had a large tv, fridge, and microwave. The staff were exceptionally nice, even matching a third party price. Is the place perfect? No. The bathroom was a little on the small side, but I wouldn't let that keep me from staying again. For the price paid it was a great value.

Incredibly noisy A/C unit kept us up all night until the very loud traffic noise took over at 0530. Some of the fixtures were rusting. The bathroom was, no kidding 5' X 5.5'. The toilet seat was not more then 1 foot from the ground. There was no extra toilet paper and the roll was half gone when we arrived. There was no TV channel list. The day-staff at the front desk was very nice and sympathetic, but there was little she could do. Overall the hotel looks run-down and some pretty seedy characters were hanging out in the parking lot.

Enjoyed our stay at Best Western Winchester. This is the second time we have stayed here. Room was very clean and well maintained and beds were very comfortable. Staff was friendly and breakfast met expectations. The internet service was a bit slow, but that is my only complaint. Would not hesitate to stay here again, and will if the need arises. Great experience!

The owner was super friendly accommodating! The hotel was clean and we had a great night sleep. Would highly recommend. We were moving across the country and this hotel was a nice relief for us. It is also pet friendly!

You know how you go to see your mom after you left home and she makes sure you have your favorite dish for dinner, your favorite pillow on your bed, and asks if she can do anything for you? That is exactly how I felt staying here. The hotel is actually what you would consider a motel...rooms open to outside. It's off the beaten path, so there was very little road noise. It has been beautifully and meticulously renovated. We were extremely happy with the cleanliness of our room. In fact, just a few minutes after we walked into our room, we got a call from the gentleman at the front desk, asking if we were happy! The bed was very comfortable...not too firm, not too soft. Breakfast was amazing!!! I couldn't believe the choices! They do ask that you take your food to your room to eat (due to COVID), but they have so much!! Hot breakfast sandwiches, warm bagels, every kind of cereal, oatmeal, juices, fresh fruit, cereal bars...and if you don't choose enough, Gina (General Manager), will coax you to take more! I mentioned that we were going hiking in nearby Red River Gorge, and Ruby brought out a bag of seasoned peanuts for us. I'm not kidding, I felt like my mom was there, telling me I was too skinny! My only complaint was that a family came in around midnight with kids, a barking dog and a car lock that beeped. That didn't last long and you get that anywhere you go. STAY HERE!! You will leave feeling like the management actually cares about the property and about you! Thank you, Gina and Ruby. You made me miss my mom. I haven't been treated that well in a long time.

If you're coming through Winchester,KY and are looking for a nice friendly,comfortable hotel at a reasonable price and a great healthy breakfast then you should definitely stay at the Best Western hotel on Lexington Ave. They are very friendly at check-in and the rooms are clean and comfortable! The breakfast is amazing. They have so much to choose from and healthy as well! I give this hotel a 10! Keep up the great work, I really enjoyed my stay here!!

I read the reviews for the hotels in the Lexington area on my cross country road trip with my dog from Texas to New York to see my pregnant daughter. I wanted something not in Lexington, but on the other side for early morning departure. It was not on the freeway, but a few blocks off. That almost made me decide not to choose it. But I kept reading the reviews and decided to do it. I am so glad I did. For an older established motel, it was very clean, updated and lovingly cared for, including their landscaping with roses. They welcomed my Golden Retriever without a word. I can always tell hotels/motels that care about their guests when they use nice towels, linens, bathroom care products that are quality and go the extra to fold the wash clothes in an attractive position like the more expensive hotels. The bed was very comfortable, a big plus on a 1400 mile solo trip. The next morning I checked out, drove a bit and realized the fog was so heavy I did not want to drive till it cleared up. I drove back to the hotel, was warmly greeted by the reception desk woman and the owner. They serve a very nice take with you breakfast of several choices of premade and wrapped breakfast biscuits. They packed me a wonderful breakfast, coffee and a very large prewrapped piece of watermelon. My Golden and I enjoyed the morning warm, comfy and safe back in our room. I will definitely be staying there on my return trip and many other future trips to visit my first and only grandchild. Both the owner and the other lady want to know all about my visit. I can see me sharing proud grandmother pictures with them with many cross country trips for years to come. I felt they were very observant of COVID cleaning and distancing. I felt safe there. They care about their guests.

Is very convenient to restaurants, with quick access to I-64, and not far from Lexington Kentucky. I was there for a basketball tournament and it suited my needs just fine. A bit noisy in the morning but overall quiet and slightly off of the beaten path. The Wi-Fi was reliable with no issues, and the staff was firnedly and helpful. I would recommend, especially for groups or teams. Rates in line with the property.

My wife and I didn't want to drive back from Lexington in the dark after spending the day at an indoor track meet at U-K. We noted good reviews of this motel on TripAdvisor, so decided to make our reservation here. We are *so* glad we did! First, the location -- it is on a main road in Winchester but is away from the interstate, so .... no interstate noise!!! Yea!!! Second -- the place is impeccably clean! I'm talking lobby, room, bathroom, parking lot (there is even an outside dedicated covered smoking area with four chairs). Third -- there were *three* sets of towels there for us even though we were only two in number. Fourth -- huge TV with a large selection of channels. Fifth -- internet which was strong and fast. Sixth -- the two appliances we used worked well (the mini-fridge and the coffee maker). Seventh -- the included breakfast was fantastic. I often stay at a Hampton Inn or Comfort Inn and Suites, and the breakfast offerings here have much more breadth than Hampton or Comfort. Eighth, and most important -- the king bed was *very* comfortable and supportive. Usually when we stay at a motel my wife doesn't sleep well and gets up feeling achy. Not here! She slept great and had no aches in the morning! This was an A+ experience at an A+ motel!!!

This a clean and well maintained Hotel with easy access to the Highway. My only complain was that breakfast was only served to 9:30 AM. The room was equipped with a Coffee Maker, Refrigerator & Microwave, so it would be possible to make your own Breakfast if you are so inclined.

The hotel offered everything we could ask for. We traveled with a big dog and a little dog, and it was so wonderful to find a motel that would accommadate both of them. The breakfast is wonderful, so many choices to choose from. The hotel clerks were so helpful also.

Older Motel. In the middle of the small town. Close to restaurants. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Large TV. Fridge. Hair dryer. All in working order. Easy check in and check out. LARGE breakfast variety with fresh fruit and various foods for those with food allergies. Would highly recommend.

Would recommend this older hotel which is well maintained. Rooms were clean and the beds were great. Best sleep I've experienced in many months. Pillows were also great. Both firm and soft. Very welcoming staff, the breakfast was very good and the hotel itself was off the main road but not by far. I enjoyed our experience and will continue to stop hear as I travel across country. OUTSTANDING HOTEL!!!! As a traveling healthcare worker (whose parents live in Winchester, KY) I have stayed at this hotel many, many times. They have never, ever disappointed me and the location has only gotten better with each stay. It is centrally located right off the interstate and bypass in Winchester, KY where almost anything you might need from a hospital, auto repair, veterinarian services, fine dining, or shopping of any type is just a mile away. This unassuming Best Western is very, very clean, extremely well lit, is patrolled by local law enforcement, is safe for families and single travelers. The friendly staff goes way above and beyond to make every aspect of the stay wonderful and tailored to your needs. They are VERY PET FRIENDLY and don't charge a ridiculous fee to allow your pet to stay there. The parking lot is very large with plenty of room for trailers and bigger vehicles (like work trucks). This is a two story hotel so if you need a ground room or need to park outside of your room....this is the place for you!!! Above all, the breakfast bar is out of this world!!! FRESHLY cut fruit, a huge coffee/tea bar, many types of cereals, pastries, FRESHLY cooked scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. It should be noted that they FRESH GRIND the Starbucks whole bean coffee, use only FRESH eggs kept in their refrigerator (never fake egg substitutes) and personally slice the FRESH fruit. They even have an entire area of GLUTEN FREE FOODS!!!! There was soooo much good food and drinks to choose from and every single thing is excellent name brands, and served at NO CHARGE. Seriously, on my last visit in November 2019 (a three week stay) I had a friend visit who wanted fresh made waffles but was on a very strict gluten free diet. The owner, who is such a nice lady, overheard us talking and surprised us by personally making gluten free waffle batter for her AND then taking the time to cook them for her so we could sit and enjoy visiting with each other!!! I mean, where else but in a FIVE STAR restaurant would you get service like that? And....take as much as you want to eat (great for road warriors and maybe construction crew guys). You can eat your breakfast in the very nice dining area while watching the morning news on the huge flat screen TV or sit at the huge computer desk, snack on breakfast, check your emails or surf the Internet on their high speed a WiFi. Or, take as much as you want back to your room so you can get ready for your day. Just so you know....every room is large, is carpeted with clean and nice smelling floor covering, plenty of drawers/storage for clothing, has a new microwave, very nice refrigerator, steam iron, ironing board, coffeemaker, blow dryer, digital alarm clock, lots of USB charger ports, HBO, a selection of coffees and teas, and very nice toiletries. And, if you happen to run out...just call the front desk. They will get you more ASAP!!!! Their rates are extremely reasonable and they honor the Best Western Rewards program. Also, and this is important....if your stay is going to be extended, go ahead and ask the owner if she has a price break that is available. When you are there, check out all of the Best Western and local community awards they have hanging on their wall. They are very impressive to say the least! If you are having a family reunion, are in need of a place to stay during home remodeling, have a conference with visiting business associates, have a high school or college team that needs overnight accommodations, or run a big construction crew that is working a local project......or you just need to get away for a night or two for a “vacation”.....this is the place for you or your business!!!! You absolutely cannot go wrong here!

We stayed here on several occasions. It is a convenient location. The breakfast is excellent with lots of variety. All very fresh and well presented. The rooms are comfortable with plenty of hot water.

I was there for work, court days. The hotel was great. Room service didnt take my trash out like they should. They lost a tip. The breakfast food was great. Many options. I did get mistaken for a model.

The decor was a little outdated. But it was overall, clean and comfortable. Every staff member I encountered was very friendly. The breakfast was also delicious and fresh every morning! It was also very easy to find, considering I have never been in Winchester before.

I was driving with my wife to our home in Knoxville TN from central Wisconsin. I was ready for a break and looked for an opportunity to use some Best Western reward points and decided to stop at Winchester Best Western. It has the layout of an older motel (two levels of rooms each with an outside door. I pulled up about 11 PM and promptly checked in. We drove into a spot next to our room which had two queen beds and a nice flat panel TV and reliable WiFi. We could hear more activity in the next room than I'm used to - but things were quiet when we were ready to sleep. Before our final leg home we enjoyed the breakfast provided in the lobby which had wider and more thoughtful selections (hot and cold) than a typical chain offering. Service was genuinely friendly at all times.

Great breakfast even had sugar free coffee syrup, almond milk, and more for my keto diet. I took my own because wasn't expecting them to have that stuff. Very clean room and smelled good. No bacon on breakfast or chocolate milk which my husband drinks instead of coffee.

Hotel room was very clean with new updated very attractive decor. As hotel breakfasts go, this hotel had one of the best I've seen with a breakfast burrito option, as well as pancake, eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, muffins, bagels, etc. Check in was fast and easy, even though we arrived after midnight.

All good the front desk always has my room ready,no delay I travel late and arrive late and they always come through, I 've never been disappointed, breakfast is always on the mark, healthy choices and always fresh food, I would recommend it for anybody.

We are in the midst of a bathroom renovation and moving a house.... so we needed a place to stay for a few nights. We found this to have the highest ratings and the best quality for said ratings. IT WAS RIGHT. On top of a clean room and VERY friendly, helpful staff, their breakfast is AMAZING. Yes, you heard right, their breakfast is amazing. Get there before 9:30 am before it is put away, or you will totally miss out. Eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, any toast or pastry you could think of, any cereal you could think of, fresh fruit, waffles made on the spot, breakfast burrito bar, skillet potatoes, any juice you could think of, and yogurt you could think of, cottage cheese, fruit toppings, all sorts of nut toppings, grits, oatmeal, coffee bar. IT IS GREAT! I would totally recommend if you are traveling or here in town and in a house renovation.

The Winchester, KY Best Western has clean comfortable rooms. The breakfast is very good, the food is good quality and flavorful. There is a nice variety of items. The hotel is in a quiet area, making the stay stressless.

Staying at this Best Western property in Winchester, KY, was a wonderful experience, due to the helpfulness, kindness and professionalism of the staff, cleanliness of the rooms, and absolutely INCREDIBLE breakfast. At least 10(!) kinds of dry cereal, 2 organic granolas, a half dozen kinds of fresh fruit (blueberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, strawberries etc), eggs, sausage, biscuits & more; milk of the following varieties: 2 cow's, rice, almond, cashew; at least 5 different knds of juice, & on & on! I should not have eaten dinner the night before. I will be back!

For being a small hotel, this was one of the best I had ever stayed at! Employees were extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were super clean and had a lot of extras. The breakfast was out of this world for a hotel breakfast. I cant say enough nice things about this place! Would highly recommend!

For accommodations that are clean, comfortable and reasonable in cost look no further. Breakfast offers a nice variety of food. The morning manager is very hospitable and eager to ensure your stay is a pleasant one.

We arrived very late in the evening (past 10:30pm) as we were looking for a stop-over on our way to Gatlinburg. I had previously goggled hotels and we had picked this one. We are best western rewards members and though the system was down they honored our member rate and we found the employee to be extremely courteous and helpful. The hotel itself is older but the rooms are clean. Our room however did have an extremely loud air conditioning unit but we still got a good nights sleep. The previous reviews are true the breakfast is UNREAL!!! I've never stayed within a hotel with such a large selection of included breakfast offerings!!! Absolutely fantastic!!!! We would defintely stay again whenever we pass through the area!!

We stayed only 1 night, as we were on road trip to a destination wedding in Asheville, NC. Stopped in KY to break up the 11 hour drive, but were extremely happy with the room, great breakfast & fantastic service we received.

I have no complaints. The management of this facility is exemplary. Each category received a 10 from me. The breakfast was varied with items fitting every dietary need. Even home cooked items. Very tasty. I will certainly return and recommend this property to any traveler.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Winchester, Va. The accommodation at the BW were very nice and comfortable. The room was well decorated and enjoyable. The convenient location made it easy for our stay. One of the best features was the great breakfast they offered. We definitely would stay there again. .

Only issue I had with the place was that i woke up to the noisy AC not working. The fan was just blowing. Apparently it stopped working sometime throughout the night. Did not make a comfy nights sleep. The desk clerk took note, but nothing was fixed while i was there

We take weekend getaways often on our motorcycle and this weekend we decided to explore the Natural Bridge area. Absolutely beautiful area. The Winchester area has plenty of lodging to choose from but when we checked out the Best Western we were sold. It is very well maintained. The property is well kept, no liter and sidewalks are not littered with cigarette butts. The Receptionist was helpful at check in and was able to give us a first floor room so we could park our bike right in front of the door. Our room was clean, even behind the dresser, lol, yes I check. The room is a good size and well appointed. The mattress was comfortable and we had plenty of pillows. We were impressed with breakfast. So many choices from organic, gluten free, lactose intolerant, I have never seen these options before at a hotel. I highly recommend this hotel

They have thee best breakfast in the nation! Very fast check inn. Pool is dated but always clean! Clean rooms, very nice staff. Never any issues. We stay here every year and they improve the outside all the time.

I always try to stay at a Best Western when I travel. Stayed at the one in Columbia, Ky a few weeks ago. It was fantastic. I have stayed at this Best Western several times and this is the first time I have ever had problems with my key. The staff was very friendly with the exception of the male clerk in the evenings. I would stay here again. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

The cleanliness, staff and the breakfast all make this an easy choice when traveling. They are just a minute off of I-64 which is very convenient. There is plenty of shopping just up the road in case you have forgotten anything. The continental breakfast rivals or exceeds what I have encountered at many higher priced hotels. My only criticism of the facility is the size of the bathroom. It is very small, not so small that you can't do what the room is intended for, just smaller than I am used to seeing. I would stay here anytime that I am in the area looking for lodging.

We've stayed at the Best Western Winchester Hotel at least five times in the last three years. It's halfway between our home in Central PA and my mother's home near Memphis, Tennessee, so the location is perfect for us. There are many hotels in this area (Lexington/Winchester) but this is by far the best value for us. The rooms have always been clean and the staff has always been friendly and accommodating. My husband insists that we go here because he loves the breakfast spread. The breakfast is above and beyond what one would expect at a chain hotel. A full array of gluten free grains, milks and breads is offered along with hot and cold entrees. I've never seen such variety and such attention to good, healthy choices.

We travel a lot, and the breakfast was more food and offers than any breakfast at a hotel we have ever seen. We will stay here again if ever in the area.

Good spot for the night. Appreciated the variety at breakfast with lots of different energy bars and granolas, including gluten free options. Beans were tasty. Rooms were pretty good, clean. Doors open directly to outside. Some traffic noise.

We have used this hotel for a few years 100% what you want in a hotel for years, just week ago I walked in and greeted by the desk clerk gentleman plunging in his nose and retrieved a large amount of dried nasal fluid that was on his thumb, as he asked what he could do for me he discarded this in the floor. In watching this was not very pleasant to see then think of the next five minutes of cross contamination of everything that is hand to hand contact. Our employees have used this hotel once twice month. Great hotel clean and breakfast food was amazing. Far as my company and I will not be staying there. I will add that this hotel his very nice and clean friendly staff it's just the cross contamination factor what was my issue.

Breakfast....awesome!! Biscuits & gravy, eggs, grits, sausage, potatoes, waffles, fresh fruit plus usual continental foods. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Staff very much present and wanting to be sure your stay is good. When first driving in exterior and smallness gave an unassuming flavor however, am very glad my group of 7 stayed there 2 nights while visiting The Ark Encounter. This will certainly be my choice of stop when in this area.

This hotel is worth going out of your way as it is clean,quiet,and a super unheard or seen before breakfast. Ive stayed here before this hotel was remodeled and watched it as it progressed during remodeling.The ownerwas always there to greet us and she pitched in with her help to make our stay comfortable. The young lady has been with the hotel over 8 years and really does a splendid job behind the desk.

This hotel is unassuming from the outside. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast offered hot and cold options including unexpected items like cashew milk. The desk clerk was knowledgeable about the area.

We had hoped to use the Interstate coupon from the booklet, but they only had one room left because of a conference in town, so we took it even though it was more than we usually spend. But we were tired and needed to rest. It turned out to be a good stay. The breakfast was incredible - huge selection of very healthy foods.....something for everyone including those who have to be gluten and dairy free. They even had snacks (and snack bags) to carry out food.

We had 3 rooms for various family members; all were clean, well stocked and comfortable. The food was fantastic. Many gluten free, dairy free and GMO free options. We've never yet experienced such concern (for those of us that need to stay away from those things) in any hotel / motel free breakfast. The staff was caring and pleasant to deal with. Would definitely stay again.

Average hotel but with some nice touches. Room was ok but with a big TV. They have snacks and beverages free 24/7 for guests which was a nice touch. Hot breakfast included. Type of room where the sink is located outside the bathroom. Narrow carpark so if you have a trailer etc. you will not be able to park in there.

I would highly recommend this Best Western- Winchester if you are staying in the area. This was our final hotel on a two week road trip and it was honestly one of the two best hotels we stayed in. The other was another Best Western. The staff was super friendly and we even had a conversation with what I believe was one of the owners. The room was clean and very nice! The breakfast was wonderful with hot eggs, sausage, and waffles! The coffee creamer and item selection was huge! So many choices for other items, including organic choices. If we head back to Kentucky, we will be staying here again.

This is the second time I have stayed here while visiting my daughter. The price is amazing for what you get. The service is top notch, hotel and rooms are clean, and the location is easy to get to. I had the breakfast the first time I was there and it was great. This time we needed to be out quick. I would highly recommend this place and I will be staying here again!

The rooms are clean, spacious and the beds are comfortable. The check in and check out was easy. Lot of snacks and coffee with various flavor syrups available 24/7. the breakfast too had lot of choices. They also had few variety of organic cereals and various type of milk like Soy Milk, Almond milk and other Plant based milk along with regular 2% and whole milk plus they had flavored soda too in the fridge during breakfast. You cannot go wrong by selecting this place to stay. Our entire group enjoyed the stay and most important this hotel is pet friendly too.

The front desk was very friendly ALL day long. No problem when we had to check in extremely late. The rooms were nice and clean! For breakfast, they even offered to make waffle for the whole family everyday we were there, and took extra effort to make additional stuff.

I used Trip Advisor to locate and vet this place before booking. We got two of the last few remaining rooms. Honestly, if I were to drive past this place, I likely would not stop (only because it's an older style motel that I would have guessed was not up to par), HOWEVER, this is by far one of the best hotel experience I have ever had. Not because it had big fancy rooms, but because it was clean and provided outstanding, friendly service. We arrived with a 40 foot boat trailer which posed a small problem with parking. The lot is up a steep embankment and small. After speaking with a local police officer and the night clerk we opted to park across the road. Worried a bit about theft or towing, but it was still there the next morning. And the officer said if anyone called he would tell them it was alright. Small town friendly there! We found our room to be clean, tidy and just what we needed.

We stopped here on our way south. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed a quiet, restful sleep. The real delight was enjoying breakfast. The selections of organic, non-gmo and non-dairy alternatives was overwhelming. I enjoyed all the options. New time you visit Winchester (Lexington) KY, plan on staying here.

The stay at Best Western Winchester Kentucky was very nice and enjoyable. The hotel is very convenient to where my daughter/son in law and grandchildren live. The hotel has very enjoyable breakfast every morning, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is some of the nicest people to talk with. I recommend this hotel.

While traveling with a business associated we found ourselves to tired to drive. The Best Western Winchester Hotel was great to accommodate us last minute. The staff was professional and very kind. The location was quick access to the interstate and the room was clean and comfortable.

Nothing fancy, but rooms were updated, beds comfortable, and shower was new. Cozy eating area by front desk with plenty of food to choose from. Owner offered to make waffles for us while we chose other items. We were made to feel very welcome!

I've stayed at this particular hotel 3 times in the last year and each time found it to be clean and relatively quiet. The breakfast buffet is free and carries a good variety of foods to choose from. The staff is always polite when I've been there.

While visiting family for Christmas we decided to stay at a hotel due to my hubby's pet allergies. You will see from my other reviews I have stayed in hotels ranging from $100 to $1,000 per night, and everything in-between. For this trip what we needed was a clean place to sleep at night, and we spent the days with family at their homes. This hotel is a fantastic find! From the friendly clerk staff (Kristie checked us in, and Tim was on staff during our two morning breakfasts) to the clean & spacious rooms, this location and price can't be beat. The breakfast is really something special! Hot eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, waffles, various breads, pastries, juices, MULTIPLE gluten-free cereal options. The condiments and topping selections are remarkable! More “extra” options (nuts, organic pumpkin seeds, coconut, salsa, jams/jellies, peanut butter- the list goes ON AND ON!) than we have EVER seen at a hotel breakfast buffet. This hotel was affordable, friendly, clean, safe and breakfast couldn't be beat. We highly recommend booking your next visit to Winchester at the Best Western!

This is a small but quaint “motel” that has clean rooms, good facilities, polite staff, and an above average breakfast bar that was good. The only negative I could see was the fact that you had to walk to the office for the great breakfast during inclement weather. The room doors are all outside facing doors which is a positive feature when you want to load your vehicle or keep an eye on it. Close to the interstate and a lot of shopping and restaurants.

Very friendly and accommodating and provided us with a lovely clean, room. It was alittle noisy at night but it didn't take away from our comfortable stay. In addition, breakfast and coffee in the morning was a welcome treat.

We stayed at this hotel on our recent trek back to VA from IA from Thanksgiving with family. We arrived at 1 am tired and road weary and were pleasantly surprised by the clean comfortable room and property. The hotel breakfast the next morning was a real treat. Your normal items but presented so well with an over the top level of topping options. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and she was so sweet with my 5 year old son. Great place!

The room was updated, comfortable and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. They server a good breakfast in the morning. It's a motel so you have the convenience are parking right outside your hotel door. And, you can't beat the price. It's just as nice as the more expensive hotels.

My wife and I stayed here on a Friday night to break up our drive to the Red River Gorge (only 45 minutes away). This absolutely has to be the best "budget" hotel that we've ever stayed at in our life, and truthfully the accommodations were closer to something I would expect from a $150-$200 a night hotel. Upon entering the room, there was an extremely pleasant smell and it was exceptionally obvious that the hotel is cleaned and maintained routinely. The king size bed was extremely comfortable with an ample number of pillows, there were two chairs in the room for lounging, nice flat screen television that could be swiveled based on where you were in the room. Nice mini-fridge and clean, well-stocked bathroom with a lovely shower capped off the room experience. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE! The extremely sweet woman on staff was a wonderful breakfast host that offered to make my waffle, and was constantly asking the other guests if they needed refills or would like anything else. Breakfast options included hot food (eggs, sausage, biscuits, potatoes, etc), cereals, two types of waffles, fruit, yogurt, drinks, etc...and the best part was that absolutely any type of food allergy/intolerance was accommodated and there truly was something for everyone. We absolutely will stay here every time we need to break up our trip at night! Thank you so much for doing such a great job, I wish all the other budget hotels held themselves to the same standard that you very clearly do.

The owner(s)/management of this hotel went overboard to make our experience a pleasurable one. I was very impressed. Best I have ever experienced at any hotel. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Only complaint: outside could use some cleaning, i.e., walkways/stairs/entryway, etc.

The property is located a mile or two off I-64 on SR 60. It is an older style two-story building with no elevator. Individual rooms are accessed directly from the parking lot. The building's exterior is clean and appeared to be recently refurbished. We found our room clean with adequate space for an overnight stay. The carpet looked new as did the paint on the walls and ceiling. The lighting in the sink area is more decorative than functional. Lots of shadows made shaving difficult. There are no dinning choices within walking distance, but several within a short driving distance. The desk clerk was very friendly and considerate. When we checked in he told us all the first-floor rooms were full and we would be on the second floor. I told him I had two artificial hips and lugging suitcases up and down stairs is not easy. He said, “Let me see what I can do. Maybe I can work some magic.” After several minutes of tapping on the computer, he was able to move us to the ground floor. Breakfast was wonderful! Waffles, sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, hot and cold cereals with assorted toppings, fruits and all the fixings needed to make a custom breakfast burrito could be found on the breakfast bar. We would stay here again.

This hotel is awesome, we have stayed in many over the years and this is the best. Clean, best breakfast ever and friendly staff. We will stay here again when passing through from NC to IA and back again. Pet friendly

Ever stayed at a place where you were treated with indifference? like your business was insignificant? Not here! The moment we arrived, the staff (Ruby and everyone) welcomed us as if we were long-lost family. As a leisure traveler who spends 60-70 nights annually in hotels around the US, believe me when I say that Best Western and other hotel chains could use this property as a training video showing how things are properly done. From the excellent breakfast, which has to be experienced to be believed, to cleanliness of room, to room size, to customer service, this property gets and deserves the highest rating; don't hesitate to stay here.

The breakfast buffet was the best I've ever seen if you have allergen restrictions. Every container was labeled, and separated. So many fresh fruit options, milks, 6 gluten free cereals, and all kinds of regular options. So thoughtful of those guests who often have no safe options. Room was quiet and clean and comfortable. Definitely a wonderful stay.

The breakfast is worth the stay, close to many food options and right off I-64, Been there many times and always a great stay. Not the most modern place but you will not be let down. Will stay again when we go to Clay City later this year.

Gina and staff go above board for a great stay! From checkin to checkout - comfortable beds and pillows, cleanliness, phenomenal breakfast and snacks available, great pool area and great value. All staff, including housekeeping crew, are friendly and always smiling.

Friendly staff. It was nice & quiet, clean, nice towels, comfy king bed. the bathroom was a little small. There was standard coffee maker, 'fridge, microwave. Excellent breakfast. Would certainly stay again.

This property was off the exit a couple turns on what 'used' to be the main road. They are working hard to be a non-smoking hotel but just b/c the sign says no smoking in doorways or close to rooms it was not enforced. So 2 doors down from us a smoker would stand on the balcony and light up. Our room was a tad stale and very average in decor, size, comfort, cleanliness. Now the 2nd level pool was old but very clean and well kept. It was warm, neither hot or cold, private and a great outdoor place to swim a few laps. But no pool towels. Just take one from your room. This is an older property and all exterior opening rooms. The breakfast was in the check-in building and had more things than anyone could recall. Almond milk and soy milk were available with 10 or more different things to put on your eggs! If you are just passing through with not many needs this is a very affordable place.

Our stay was very comfortable. We do quite a bit of traveling, this Best Western hotel is on our list of hotels for another stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a nice choice of food and drinks. The staff was exceptionally helpful. We did not take an opportunity to use the pool, but it looked clean and refreshing. A rooftop pool is a nice touch to the hotel experience.

Heading across country, tired and needed a place for just one night. Found on line reasonably priced. Called ahead and they could accommodate us for a first floor room. Room was extremely clean and staff friendly. Lots of restaurants close by, also. Breakfast the next morning was outstanding. Hot food: waffles, biscuits&gravy, eggs, sausage. Variety of cereals, fresh fruit, pastries, etc.

We rented for one night over the last weekend in June. We searched on line and were interested in staying there as they advertised the pool as being a salt water pool, and I believe it was. We had a kind size bed in our room. I feel that the decor needs updating as it felt like the 70's. Also it was a very hot weekend and although the room had air conditioning, the hallways and pool area did not. That made going to the pool and later to the restaurant a sweaty trip. I feel that this would be a nice get away in the winter not summer if that is the standard. Also no elevator for the handicapped. One of the higher priced hotels that we have stayed at this year.

The entrance into the motel is a little tricky going in, other than that I had no problems with anything. Room was very clean and was pleased that there was a coffee pot because a lot of the places I travel they have stopped putting them in rooms.

We're frequent travelers and always opt for Best Westerns. Had a great experience from check-in to checkout. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was amazing. Large gluten free, non GMO and organic selection. Gina, the owner, greeted each of her guests and was very accommodating. Definitely recommend.

This was a very nice motel and for $89 total including fees and taxes, we thought it was very good value. Everything about this motel is nice. The room was in very good condition, had all the amenities you would expect and everything was clean and in good condition. We slept very well here and the breakfast area the next morning was also very nice. Only complaint is that the TV reception was grainy and below what I would have hoped for, but not atypical for motels in this price range. All in all, this is a superior accommodation at an average price and we would stay here again if in the area. Very close to I-64 and right on U.S. 60 so location is excellent for travelers just passing through. Was very close to an Applebee's that served above average food at really good prices. For anyone wanting a really detailed view of the place, will be posting videos on YouTube very soon.

I do quite a bit of traveling for work and recently stayed at the Best Western in Winchester, KY. I had a complicated schedule for booking but they were extremely helpful and accommodating even though I know I was not. I cannot recommend this location enough. Absolutely wonderful staff and very clean, very nice rooms. Pool as well was super nice and clean. You won't be disappointed with your stay here! Thanks y'all!

We returned to WInchester for a family graduation, and we are familiar with the hotels in the area. This property has been in WInchester for many years, but it has been Completely renovated. The rooms have been totally updated and very clean. The only issue was that the tub/shower/toilet area was a bit tight. The lobby has a comfortable breakfast area with a good selection of hot items, cereals, fresh cut fruit, even some gluten free items. Coffee is ground from beans freshly each day and is available all day along with fruit and snacks.. For those traveling with pets there is a $20/day (max 5 days) fee. Pet walk area is small area near the entrance. Very nice Pool. The staff and management could not have been anymore helpful. I would recommend the motel and will stay here when we return to the area.

Remember when you parked in front of your room and walked right in. Now you can do it again in a thoroughly modernized setting with a fantastic breakfast the next morning to boot. We are so tired of hauling our luggage up in an elevator three flights that when we saw this place we stopped to check it out and were delighted with what we found. In fact so pleased that we joined BE Rewards then and there and look forward to future stays in other places.

I searched for a place to stay overnight for my visit in Kentucky for a graduation held at the University of Kentucky. It was important for me to find a clean, relatively affordable hotel with free breakfast. After many searches and reading reviews I decided this would be the place, although it was a few miles farther from the university than other hotels. Best Western Winchester did not disappoint. We had a late arrival and the attendant was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and fully stocked. The continental breakfast and dining/lobby area was immaculate with a huge variety of foods that I've never seen served at hotels such as this. Gina - the morning hostess was very kind, welcoming and helpful to everyone during breakfast. Great place to stay!

The breakfast options are the best I've seen short of a fancy high priced resort. Want coconut sugar, they have it. Want cinnamon for your waffles (try the oatmeal option), and two of about anything you can think of to put onto cereal. Almond milk, yep. Cashew milk, soy milk. Unbelievable how far they have gone on their breakfast set up. Don't miss the blackberries or strawberries and the assortment of nuts. They also have a gluten free section and an organic section. Room was clean and beds comfy. Staff friendly. Reasonable rates.

Clean, neat and exceptional breakfast compared to most hotels. Staff was great and very accommodating. We arrived on motorcycles and were cold,wet and very tired after a long rainy day. The front desk was staffed by Mr Tim Allred and he went out of his way to get us into a room quickly. While waiting there are a number of snacks in the lobby. Overall a great experience. Bathrooms are a little small.

Good property for the price. Not too far off interstate 64. Eating places near by. Room was average - no problem. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was better than average for price of room. We had a Cousins Ancestry Reunion in the area and we pondered on whether to stay at the more expensive Hampton Inn or this Best Western. We chose BW and what a good decision we made. Everything was perfect and better that we expected. The entire place was clean and the breakfast area was the best I have experienced for this type of hotel. They had great selections of hot and cold breakfast choices. The rooms were clean, the beds had good mattresses, with clean bed linens and bed spread. The bathroom and vanities were like new and very clean. Nice furniture and flat screen TV. And by the way, Ginia the very hospital manager offered treats for us to take on our daily outings. The Desk clerk Tim was very accommodating to our group and kept a close eye on the breakfast area for any needed food replenishments and clean up. Full disclosure: I am not a relative of anyone associated with this hotel. Just a very happy and satisfied customer!

What a find! It's a great value with clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. But what truly sets it apart is the breakfast. No rubbery instant eggs and mystery meat here. This breakfast bar is unbelievable. In addition to the standard offerings of scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes and waffles, pastries etc. you will find fresh fruit, gluten free cereal options, coconut milk, nutella, guava juice and much more including, get this...powder to make golden milk! Don't stay in Lexington. Stay in Winchester at this hotel.

Not only they surprised me on the breakfast selection but also the lobby area and eat in section were spot less clean. I usually never see selection of organic choices but here they proved me wrong. The coffee stand has also more choices for service then your local Wawa.

Other hotels can't match the price for the quality of its amenities. Nice clean rooms and the best breakfast you will probably find for the cost. Staff was fantastic. It is obviously an older hotel on the state road next to interstate, but is conveniently only 1.5 miles off the interstate. Rooms have completely updated with quality furnishings and is quite comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Hotel in Winchester, Kentucky on Dec. 22-23, 2017 for the following reasons: The place was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was delicious which included a variety of items to choose from(Hot and Cold). Check-in and check-out were easy and fast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room rates are very reasonable. It is in a great location and it has great security.

My friend and I were traveling through Kentucky in the freezing snow and needed a couple warm, clean, reasonably priced rooms for the night so I checked the Tripadvisor reviews of hotels off the interstate and this one was well recommended. The reviews were spot on! The staff was super friendly and very accommodating even though we pulled in late at night. The rooms were clean and warm and the breakfast was awesome (for this type of breakfast bar). They had every kind of condiment, topping, etc you could ask for. I have already told my friends that if you find yourself in Kentucky and need a room, stay here.

Motel was a little dated but very clean, everything in working order and a really nice place to stay. Beds were very comfortable. The night clerk was very friendly and helpful. Morning staff was likewise very friendly - they made us feel welcome and we would certainly come back again. I've rarely found staff at a chain hotel so welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was a big surprise. Some of it was the standard waffle maker and round egg like stuff but the fixings were incredible- oven fries, several sauces, salsa, pickled galena, cheese, several types of bread, some organic items and corn tortillas. WOW! Nice selection of fresh fruit. This really was a very refreshing surprise.

Good trip to see my grandsons wedding. It was colder than what I was used to. I am from the Chattanooga area where the temperature seldom gets below freezing. The temperature in the teens was a bit of a shock! The stay at the hotel was a good experience.

I have travelled all over the country, and even outside the U.S. I have rarely met a more friendly and accommodating staff than at this hotel. I have to say the stay far exceeded my expectations on every level. With respect to service, I would put this hotel up there with some of the best anywhere. The accommodations were great. In the future I will definitely stay at this hotel whenever in the area. By the way, the complementary breakfast is one of the best I've ever experienced, especially with respect to variety of items to choose from.

While the staff was friendly, this motel is "old' in the bad sense of the word. It was supposed to be located "off I-75" and depending on the interpretation of the word "off", I suppose it is...but you drive past several much nicer places before finding this one. My wife and I just looked at each other when we entered the room but were too tired to leave.

Stayed here on a family trip back home to Eastern Ky. Stopped for a stay-over very clean and quaint little motel. Very nice updated rooms with new everything. Carpets and bedding were very nice. Must say I was supremely impressed. Will stay here again.

We came to Kentucky for our annual Thanksgiving visit. We found this hotel to be excellent. The rooms are very nice, the property is clean, there is not a lot of noise, close to the freeway, and the staff is very nice and professional. The breakfast is also the best I have ever seen with so many food choices. We will definitely stay here again.

Clean, friendly, large comfortable rooms and convenient, what more can one ask for. We love the General Manager, Gina. We particularly like it when she comes to our table at breakfast and asks about us, how the breakfast is and if she can get anything for us. Regarding the breakfast, it's fantastic for the price of the room. This summer we stayed in a $500/night hotel and the breakfast wasn't as good. We'll continue to stay there every year when we visit our son's family because it's a great mid-way stopping point.

Very close to I-64, the Winchester location has a nice BW without the stress of Lexington traffic. Some super-good healthy breakfast options such as Greek Yogurt, granola, nuts, along with standard fare. Friendly and appreciative staff.

I do not recommend this hotel. The front desk staff person had a hickey visible. We were given poor directions to our room. We had to drive around the lot and go back to ask for clearer instructions twice. The floor in the room had only been cleaned in the middle. There was debris along all the walls, including hairs on the bathroom floor and toilet base. The AC unit was inefficient for this type of room. One part of the suite was extremely cold while the other side was 10+ degrees warmer. There was a musty smell in the room as well, which aggravated my allergies.

Following a week long trip to the MidWest, my husband and I found ourselves driving back to the East Coast along I-64. Although we often stay at higher end hotels, we are also conscious of our finances and like to save money when possible. Reviews like this one are what led us to this hotel. After securing a price online, it became clear I needed my husband to log on with his BW number in order to book the room. Because he was driving, I called the hotel directly. Chrissy was very helpful. Upon checking in, we found our room to be bright and clean. Next came the Goldilocks bed check; the beds and pillows were great. The next morning came the coffee test. I was amazed by all of the possible coffee combinations available. My regular coffee had stevia, sugar-free vanilla syrup, whole milk and pumpkin creamer added to make a delicious cup of coffee. My husband feasted on eggs and sausage topped with cheese and salsa while I had a biscuit with gravy. I was very impressed. To top it off, Ruby was friendly and made certain we had everything we needed. Driving less than a mile off of I-64 at exit 94 saved us more than $40 off of Lexington prices, plus we had a fantastic breakfast. I will be keeping the business card for this motel. Oh, and this motel does accept pets.

I would never stay at this place again. The manager kept coming to our table during breakfast snd touching my sister and I on the back. No trash liners in cans,dirty black carpet,breakfast was a joke.

For a motel, this was much better than expected for the price. Pool (we didn't use), wifi and hot breakfast, was in incl. for under $100 (bw.com booking, AAA discount) after tax. We were planning to stay at a hotel in Lexington but found this was close enough to halfway on our 14 hr drive. You get a lot for the money. Clean comfortable updated fresh. Perfect for our family of 4 with two kids in elementary. Non smoking and pet options available.

This is certainly one of the best Best Westerns that I have stayed at. Front desk very friendly and helpful. The bed and internet connection are very good. Room is large and comfortable and I like parking right outside my room with door that conveniently opens from the outside and not corridor of hotel. The breakfast is much larger selection than one generally finds at Best Western or in fact any of hotels that have free breakfast. Very pleased and definitely will stay here when back in town. this hotel was a pleasant surprise on our trip across Kentucky. The room was very clean, and comfortable. The staff was very helpful, and seemed to care about us. The breakfast was amazing, and was one of the best ones that I have overhead. the selection was much better than most hotels, and the hot food ws actually hot.

While working in the Winchester KY area myself and an associate stayed at the BW Winchester for 3 nights. The rooms were ground floor, direct outside access, nicely appointed and maintained. The bathrooms are tiny but clean. This location feels very safe and was very quiet with other denizens appearing to be mostly professional and work crews . The beds/bedding were decent with semi firm but small pillows. The breakfast was hot with a good selection of biscuits, eggs, sausage, gravy and makings for burritos as well as fruit and a wide selection of juices, coffee, etc. We ate breakfast at the hotel twice during out short stay. This property isn't a posh luxury hotel but is a good value for the price. It was a good stay and we will be staying at the BW Winchester again when we return to our rain interrupted project. VEHICLE WARNING Be aware that you CANNOT enter the hotel parking lot or turn around with a long, truck trailer, camper or bus. The driveway is a fairly steep slope up to a sharp angle change at the top. The parking lot is narrow enough to make turning a trailer or bus around a real problem IF you can get over the driveway. They may have truck parking elsewhere but the main entrance is limited to not much larger than passenger vehicles.

One night stop. Older style motel updated and pretty well maintained. Welcoming and helpful check-in/out staff. Complimentary Breakfast was outstanding with a helpful host, personal attention, and a quite unexpected variety of choices including several organic and alternate products and non-dairy choices.

The best place to stay in Winchester KY, and close to Lexington. All of the staff were very helpful, the continental breakfast was superb, wonderful southern hospitality. The owner made us feel right at home.

My wife and I wanted to make it north of Lexington, KY but couldn't make it before the evening traffic, so we stopped at the Best Western in Winchester, KY. Don't know if this is a new hotel or a refurbished older hotel - if it's an older hotel that's been refurbished they did an excellent job. Regardless, it was very nice. And the breakfast was unreal - we've never seen such a large variety of items like that anywhere else in all our travels. The staff was extremely friendly. So glad we stopped there.

I had a great experience at this hotel. I was in charge of booking a block of 18 rooms for a business event, and each staff member at this hotel went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect for us. All 18 guests enjoyed their stay, and each staff member was always friendly, smiling, and incredibly accommodating. The rooms were clean and had everything that we needed. There was a large variety of choices at breakfast, and the beds were very comfortable. We will definitely return. Keep up the fantastic work!

Don't judge a book by its cover! This place was small but wonderful. The breakfast choices were way beyond normal and the spice selection to add to your food was the best I have ever seen. This is a GEM but not on the main path -- find it !

We stayed for several days after evacuting our home during hurricane Irma. Our room was near the pool yet was very quiet. Clean, thoughtful housekeeping team. Pet friendly and accomodating. The breakfast bar was amazing-so thoughtful to have many healthful choices for varied diet needs. Included food for all preferences such as low carbo or full grain, vegan options, gluten-free too. After a long day's drive we were delighted with this hotel. The room was clean, the WiFi worked well, the bed was comfortable with the best pillows we had on this trip, and the shower head gave such a soothing relaxes my shower. The breakfast bar was very varied and kept fully stocked. Can't say enough good about the staff. They really cared that we were having a good stay. Only negative was that we had trouble locating the hotel once we decided to stay there.

Had a quick trip for two nights stay. Room was updated and clean, bed was comfy with fresh linens daily. The breakfast spread was actually surprisingly large and had many variations of food to choose from. Also their coffee bar has a ton of flavors and add ins. Very happy with my stay.

Hotel is slightly dated and the rooms show some wear and tear, but customer service was extremely good and breakfast was the best I've experienced in many years. Very friendly hostess (possibly owner) greeted each guest and showed them the choices. Plenty of fresh food, hot, cold, fruit, drinks, etc.

Older motel, but is well maintained, with clean rooms. Staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast spread is way above average; well presented with a wide variety of items, some of which are not found in mainstream motel breakfast offerings. Check out the coffee bar! I've stayed here previously, and will be back again.

Haha very nice stay while in town for a family reunion. The staff was very nice and a surprisingly good breakfast with plenty of choices. The only reason its not a 5 star review is due to the air conditioning in the room being rather loud and keeping us up at night and the shower toilet area is pretty tight. Otherwise no complaints and I would stay here again

The rooms are c;lean. The breakfast is excellent. The staff is almost over solicitous in trying to make sure you are satisfied. The toilet/bathtub space is very small, but, really, how big does one need it?. An older motel that they have worked hard to keep nice. And the room cost clinched it.

The front desk clerk (Christy) called the room right after check in to make sure everything was how we needed it. Everything was great from the time I arrived until I departed and this was the most efficient use of space I have ever seen in a hotel. The amount and quality of foods and drinks for breakfast was phenomenal.

The rooms and property are very clean and the breakfast is superb. Freshly ground organic coffee beans, gluten free foods and condiments, all sorts of milk, yogurt, spices, fresh fruit and other thoughtful food choices.

We came through Kentucky to tour some of the famous farms. This hotel was in perfect location to the specific ones we wanted to see and was a breeze to get to off the interstate. A few fast food options off the exit, clean room, nice hot water and good shower pressure. We travel with 2 large dogs and there's a large grassy area towards the entrance of the hotel. The front desk ladies were so friendly and I was pleasantly shocked by how good of a breakfast spread they put on! Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

If you have any special dietary needs, this is the place for you. Most breakfast options of any hotel/restaurant we have ever experienced. Very friendly and helpful staff! Even offered umbrellas since it was raining outside to get back to the room.

I have never seen so many choices at a hotel breakfast bar! From gluten free to a huge variety of condiments. The fruit was FRESH. Over 16 different choices of toppings for waffles or oatmeal. The drawback is that the drive way is steep and only one way in/out. They did allow us to unhook our 14' utility trailer and park under the lamppost. Room was clean and fresh.

Had two small issues in the room which hotel staff made sure they were corrected while we were gone to NASCAR raceey for sure don't give lip service when your told that they will take care of an issue. Wonderful hotel experience! This is right off the interstate but it's incredibly quiet and you'd never know it was off the interstate. I stayed here after a 12+ hour day of driving and was so happy I stayed here! The hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable! I had a dog with me and they were also very accommodating for him. The breakfast selection was one of the best I've ever seen and I've stayed in tons of hotels for work over the years. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating! The rate for a room was also incredibly reasonable. Truly one of the best hotel experiences I've had.

The rooms are all newly renovated, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast they offer has the greatest selection of any included hotel breakfast that I've had during my annual cross-country drives. As a lactose-intolerant person, I usually bring along my own breakfast when I travel, as it can be so difficult to find breakfast items that I can comfortably eat. There was no problem here---the selection of non-dairy milks, in and of itself, was impressive! Also, for those of you who are gluten-free, there are many options available for you here as well. I have never had the breakfast service at a Hotel since I have started traveling. It had the biggest selection from gravy and biscuits with scrambled eggs to fresh fruit and yogurt. Also, everything was freshly made and hot.

We decided to stay at this hotel to save some money, but were blown away by the room and especially by the fabulous breakfast buffet -- anything you can imagine is available there, including fresh fruit, yogurt, cashew milk, gluten-free options ... just a huge variety of appetizing choices. This was our favorite hotel on our cross-country trip!

The room was small, but updated with a new tv and it had all the amenities, such as a microwave, mini-fridge, and a coffeemaker. The beds were on the stiffer side, but had a soft covering. They appeared to be current and it was a nice place to stay. The staff were all great and friendly. I had a problem with the tv remote and they fixed it right away. I thought the price was a bit high for a 2 star rated hotel, but it probably should be a 3 star as far as what it offered for the price. They accepted pets for $10 a pet per night, which is reasonable and appreciated.

The room was nice with a king size bed and pillows. Had a good nights rest before traveling home to Michigan. The breakfast was a buffet, small but every thing we like so it was great. Waffles, bagels, cereal, eggs, sausage, juice, milk, water, coffee and all the stuff to put on top of your food. The bathroom was clean, had a hair dyer, coffee machine and it was an easy check out. $77 for the night. There was a few men in the back parking lot that were using very bad language and had their own grill on the back of the truck and were cooking their dinner, so we moved to the front parking lot and all was well. The pool was closed for cleaning.

Located close to the interstate but far enough away to be quiet. Easy on/off too. Very personable staff. Room was just remodeled. Tub/toilet were a tad close together. Comfortable bed, clean room, great shower pressure and the best part was the amazing breakfast! There were organic and gluten-free items, soy & almond milk, cantaloupe, watermelon, grapes & the usual items.

We have stayed at the Winchester Hotel, Best Western many times. The first time we stayed was out of convenience, but now we stay they out of choice. The motel is clean, people are friendly and it is close to our family.

This hotel is a perfect example of how a hotel should be operated. The owners were proud of their hotel and rightfully so. The breakfast bar had so many selections of toppings and cereals. They even leave many items out all all day for their guests.

Always had good experiences with Best Western Hotels, this was no exception. Price was good. Room was clean, bed comfortable, linens were good quality. Location was great. The rooms always have mini fridges and microwave, which always come in handy. The staff was very friendly. I have stayed in other hotels this past year, and, compared to Best Western, they should have paid me to stay there !!!! A friend of mine (same trip) stayed in a well known hotel, and, paid more than twice what I did, to find the smoke detector hanging from the ceiling, and, mini fridge not working, which spoiled some food for the party that we were there to attend. Had a hard time getting compensated for spoiled food. Like I said, never had a Problem with Best Western.

Nice updated clean rooms. Owner was very accommodating. Continental breakfast was the best I have had in a very long time. We booked two rooms that were adjoining and were pleasantly surprised when one of them was a suite so we could relax and play cards in the evening. Would definitely recommend this motel.

After being on the road for 2 weeks, it was good to find a Best Western that was a reasonable price. Nothing fancy, but very nice. Comfortable, good pool, very nice staff, and a good bed. Best Western should establish more establishments like this one that provide an outstanding stay without paying extravagant prices. To be pampered is one thing, to have a quiet and safe stop for the night is another.

Easy booking, easy check-in, quiet stay in a good location. All in all it was a good stay. Bed could have been a little more comfortable but I don't really like very soft mattresses. Will definitely stay again on my next visit with my grandchildren.

This was our second stay at this place and there is a reason why we returned.The place is very clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, especially the lady who runs the place Gina. It's quiet and very relaxing and the swimming pool is great. Breakfast is good with fresh fruits and plenty of other choices. A great value for the money all the way around! We will go back!

The facility is in a motel format where the doors open to the parking lot. The room was very clean and well outfitted with everything we needed for a very comfortable night. We had a quiet night and woke up very well rested. The complimentary breakfast was AMAZING! The most complete breakfast offering we have ever seen! Fresh fruit, all sorts of items from tortillas to fresh juices and gluten-free cereals! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Stayed here Thu 6/30/17. This place was very clean. Breakfast was the best I've experienced at any hotel. I loved the variety of fresh foods and even the sweeteners (my fav was coconut sugar). The manager, Ms. Gina went the extra mile to greet each & every guest at breakfast and was available for anything a guest needed, be it information or amenities. I would definitely stay here again.

All the usual good stuff about the Best Western format apply here. Hot water works, WiFi works, beds comfy. What's different is that there was a lot of thought to doing something extra in the breakfast bar. Not the minimum that you might expect, but organic or gluten free condiments, nicely arranged hot items and perhaps healthier selections over the conventional sugar laden cold cereal, although that is also available. See photos for more details. While having breakfast, the owner or manager came and made sure that we had had a good breakfast and that the room was fine. Wonderful service. Makes me want to stay here again when we go climbing again.

I was part of a group of ladies who stayed at Gina's Best Western and was very impressed. Gina and her staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as they could. The breakfast buffet was awesome! They had every thing one could want for breakfast from coffee, teas, hot items, cold cereal, and yogurt. The rooms were clean, bathroom clean and water pressure was wonderful for the shower, no lack of hot water. The pool was refreshing and they even had steps to walk in gradually. Over all the stay was warm, clean and very welcoming.

First, the rooms are big with all the amenities and more. Second, its cleanliness is highly appreciated. And last, the breakfast has an amazing variety, is delicious even if you are gluten free, lactose free or vegan. Unbelievable!

The rooms were out dated, but everyone that worked there from the cleaning ladies to the management went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable, and if there was anything we needed. You could not have ask for more pleasant employees and the breakfast was far beyond any 5 star motel I have stayed in.. There was an amazing spread of food for anyone. This is no ordinary continental breakfast. These people make you feel at home and their breakfast is better than I've had at any motel or hotel all year. Kudos to the staff and management for making their guests feel appreciated.

I was very impressed on how clean the room and grounds were for this BW. The location was a bit off the beaten track but for the quality, service and price I would make the effort. The first room assigned to us had the carpeting recently cleaned and was in process of drying (they actual clean the carpet) and was given a new room which was very clean and nicely appointed. The breakfast had a large assortment of items to eat, more than what I have seen in other hotels. The staff was very helpful in giving us dinner locations, though there wasn't a large selection of restaurants to choose from. I would highly recommend this BW.

Everyone was MAGNIFICENT and EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL!!! Best Western needs to use them to train all of their employees company wide regarding customer service and satisfaction. They made my stay so enjoyable.......I have stayed at hundreds of hotels.....one star to five star....none have topped this one. Incredible rates....a little piece of heaven!!! This hotel has a pool, clean rooms, refrigerator and a very nice complete breakfast that will meet the needs of all guests. The staff is excellent and very friendly. It was small so that the parking lot had not turn around for people with trailers but there was plenty of parking. It was also convenient to the interstate and to many good restaurants. Although it advertised free wifi it depended where your room was. Best in the lounge / breakfast room.

Nice clean hotel, close to a variety of restaurants and shopping center. Beds were comfortable and the room very clean. Wonderful selection of food for breakfast, lots of fresh fruit. Good neighborhood to get out and take a walk.

The lowest I go is typically Quality Inn. A friend booked this for us while on the Bourbon Trail and I was surprised. The rooms looked. Rely renovated and clean and the breakfast was fantastic. Also very friendly staff both the night when we arrived and the morning. I'm not sure if all BW are like this, but this one I would certainly start at again.

My friends and I needed a quick place to stay. This was the nicest quality Best Western that I've ever stayed at. The service here was far above our expectations. The room was clean, the water pressure in the shower was great, and the breakfast was incredible! If I'm in Winchester in the future, I'll stay here again for sure!

Very clean room with nice decor. Free breakfast was substantial and varied and excellent tasting. Hotel location is centrally located for many day trip excursions. Would certainly return to this hotel if visiting this area again.

This hotel does not have adequate parking. We had a small U-Haul truck with a small trailer on it and there was no where on the site to park it. We had to park it in the neighboring business parking lot and would not be able to keep an eye on the truck and trailer. This is not a problem that the owner would be able to correct, but it was not convenient. Overall the staff were friendly and very accommodating.

Stayed at the Best Western in Winchester Kentucky last night for the first time. It is usually very difficult to find a pet friendly hotel that isn't run down or smelling of wet dog. Best Western was recently remodeled and looks (and smells) fantastic. The gentleman at the front desk was completely swamped by newly arriving guests but was still very pleasant and helpful. The continental breakfast was surprisingly nice as well. Non-gmo milk, organic options, and gluten free options. Don't worry, there were plenty of pastries and cereals for gluten lovers too. All in all, and very nice visit.

This is our go to hotel when we travel to and from Virginia and Missouri. Easy access from interstate. Accommodations are always clean. Staff are always professional and pleasant. Price is right. Always a good experience.

I've been working in Clark and Powell counties for the past two years. Stayed at a couple different hotels and found BW to be the best value. Clean rooms. Caring staff. When you work away from home and you find a place like BW-Winchester, you just found your home away from home. Highly recommend it.

Passing through on the way to Virginia so we stayed for one night. Check in/out was easy. The room was clean but smelled a little musty so we turned the air on and ran out to get food. When we returned it smelled better. They had a soap and shampoo dispenser in the shower. Nice touch. The bed was pretty comfortable but the pillow I had was horrible. I woke with a very stiff neck. The breakfast had many options. As continental breakfasts go it was better than average on choices but below average on taste. For the price of the room this was a good value.

Room smelled strongly of cheap deodorizer. Bed was uncomfortable. Traffic noise was loud. Breakfast was only ok. Staff was friendly & pleasant. Don't waste your time on this motel. Definitely not worth the money they are charging. Wifi is throttled down & slow.

I stayed at the Best Western Winchester Hotel when I was in town for my nephews graduation from UK. The hotel staff was amazing, the room was clean and had been updated. The breakfast at the hotel was wonderful. They had a great selection of foods and most of it was organic. I would definatley recommend this hotel.

In for an overnight stay. The hotel was very clean and well kept. The manager and staff were are very kind. The breakfast was extensive and wonderful and complimentary. The room price was very reasonable.

This past week, I spent 4 nights here. I chose this hotel for several reasons: 1) I stay at Best Western hotels frequently, 2) The price here was much more reasonable than similar hotels in Lexington where I was actually working. The reason? Lexington hotels always raise their rates during the Rolex 3 Day Event which was taking place last week. I didn't mind the 25 min drive if I was saving money (considerable). This hotel is very typical of many Best Westerns where I have stayed--pleasant accommodations and staff. My big surprise, however, is the excellent quality of the breakfast! Many choices with several options. For example, TWO kinds of eggs, yoghurt, cottage cheese, SEVERAL kinds of granola cereals and fruit juices, to say nothing of bread and pastry choices as well as fresh fruit (as is and in fruit salad AND TWO kinds of milk and MANY coffee creamers! Another bonus: breakfast was open at FIVE O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING!! Unheard of!!!! If I return, I'd definitely stay here again!!

First time to Kentucky for overnight stay and ended up at this location. Was pleasantly surprised with the area and hotel. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. Gina, the manager, was extremely friendly and helpful. We even swapped recipes. Loved the breakfast options.... Some healthy options with variations you don't typically find at a hotel. Staff here goes over and above. We even cancelled or reservations for the next night at another hotel to stay again at this one. Great experience.

This hotel is clean and in good shape. The hotel staff are polite and super friendly. Gina, who I think is a manager, stopped by our table at breakfast to ask how our stay was and if we needed. They have an amazing little continental breakfast bar.

Whole hotel was very clean. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and friendliness of this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Breakfast is included and has a wide variety. Very quiet and peaceful, and comfortable beds.

We found this because another hotel would not accept pets-And boy am I happy we did. It's very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast and pet friendly. We are traveling from northwest to east coast (VA). Many hotels along the way but this is the Best. Highly Recommend that you try it.

What a nice motel! The room was large and clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was small but there was plenty of counter space on the vanity. Heat/AC worked well. The desk staff was outstanding! Very knowledgeable and pleasant, like good customer service should be.

Whenever we are in the Winchester Kentucky area we choose to stay here. Our first time there was some years back and it was out of convenience. We stay here now out of choice. The owners have put thoughtful time and energy in updating this motel. The smiling faces belong to helpful employees.

A great stay with a nice clean room located near local shopping, food, gas and easy access to interstate. The staff was very helpful and concerned about our comfort. The breakfast was excellent with a very good selection.

Travel/work on business. The Company wanted to put me in a hotel in Lexington, but I chose this one in Winchester. I looked up the reviews on this one and noted that all of the NEW reviews were very positive. There was a major upgrade/renovation in the last couple of years which apparently has changed many things. My room was clean. The breakfast was the best free motel breakfast anyone could ever have –the usual eggs, biscuits, sausage, gravy, breads, jellies, sweets. Add to that all kinds of granolas, cereals, nuts, seeds, fresh fruits, dried fruits, an amazing assortment of breakfast drinks, including soy, coconut, almond milk. Yogurt (the good kinds), boxed juices, coffee, waffles and syrup, condiments of all kinds AND –if you need gluten free, they have that too! And, if you stay for more than a day or two, these wonderful folks become family! Highly recommended! (BTW – I drove around town during my time there and most of the other motels looked really shabby, inside and out).

I have stayed in a lot of them and this one is way above average for my past experience. Breakfast was 110%. New remodel and did the best they could for an older building. Will keep staying here for work.

Stayed here for night. Very nice motel, clean and spacious room. Location was near my meeting location. Low traffic and quiet. Breakfast buffet was very nice and fresh. Would stay here again if in the area.

My room smelled so bad I used almost a whole can of febreeze & it was still awful. The air vent was covered in dust and dirt. Overall it just looked and felt old and dirty. When the heat came on the stench was worse so I had to keep the room much cooler than was comfortable just to try to keep the smell bearable. I do not recommend anyone stay here.

Had a little trouble finding this location mostly because of the directions pointed out from the interstate. Hotel itself is quiet and beds comfy room is clean staff friendly breakfast area small but was adequate for the crowd the day we were there.

Traveling east, we had zoomed right by Lexington, and thought we'd see what was available in Winchester. Perfect! Night Clerk was extra friendly and accommodating. Nice quick breakfast where we got to talk to the owner, a really pleasant, sweet person. Our room was immaculate and just what we needed. This was a great, economical stop and we will do it again! I have stayed at this particular hotel numerous times. They provide a small town atmosphere, and they always have clean rooms, a nice continental breakfast, and they go out of their way to provide hospitality. It has a central location, convenient to shopping, restaurants. Traffic can be a little noisy and heavy at times, but do-able.

This was just a quick stop for us. On our way from Branson, MO to Virginia. After driving for 1000 miles, we needed a good nights sleep, which we got. The staff was friendly and took good care of us. It was a little hard to see the "sign on the hill" directing us to turn left.

What a pleasant surprise to find engaging and welcoming staff, very clean rooms (we thought they were new) and an amazing breakfast bar with more variety than you could imagine. Somebody put very thorough and careful thought into planning this breakfast. The staff from start to finish were wonderful. I'll be back if only to sample the rest of the breakfast bar I couldn't try last time!

Motel was very clean & quiet, very pleased w/everything. This is a motel, in the sense that the rooms exit to the outside (no indoor corridor), but was still very nice & I felt very safe. If you are handicapped, the walk across the parking lot to the lobby for breakfast should be considered. Overall, I will stay at this Best Western again when in Winchester,KY.

my room was quiet, clean and had a very comfortable bed. breakfast had great variety including eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, cereal. Great value. Hotel was well maintained. Staff was very friendly and showed great hospitality.

Check in was a breeze with a very outgoing and friendly desk clerk. I had amassed enough points to stay a free night and the lady was very helpfull. The next morning at Breakfast the lady manager went out of her way to meet and greet everyone (perhaps a little overboard for first thing in the morning and not really in the mood for conversation) but she really did try to be accommodating and helpful.

not exactly luxurious, but quite satisfactory and a good value for the money. surprisingly wide range of breakfast items. owner was clearly interested in her guests, as she approached people at breakfast and asked if everything was okay.

We just stayed overnight. The staff was super friendly and helpful to recommend places to eat nearby. There is two floors to this establishment. We were located on the 2nd floor. My first impression of this place was that it was although it was older, it was very well maintained. This includes the the grounds and the room. Our room was very clean and it seems like the bed was comfortable. The heating and cooling system is older and the vent is located high up on the wall so this seemed to control the temperature well. My picky teen had no complaints so it was a plus! Good choice of breakfast items. Not far from restaurants and Walmart. Would recommend. smokers have to go across the parking lot due to a non-smoking rule from the city. My husband smokes, so it would have been nice to have a bench to go along with the smokers posts. This is no reason not to stay here though. Overall we were well pleased.

On a Thursday night in October I decided, around 10p, to pull over for the night rather than continue driving. I saw a billboard ad for a motel. I drove to the motel but they were full. I asked where they could send me. Best Western had already called this motel to let them know they had a few rooms left. I was very pleased to find the Best Western, great quality and lower price than my first choice would have been. And the breakfast selections were more numerous than I had ever seen before. I did not even know there was a blueberry cucumber yogurt.

This was our first trip to the Red River Gorge area and it was a last minute decision to visit. We were unable to book a cabin or lodge room in the direct area, so we hopped on Trip Advisor to find something within a 20-40 minute drive. We booked with Best Western in Winchester. We were hesitant since the Best Westerns in our area aren't the greatest. We are so glad we took a chance, as we were pleasantly surprised with the updates, cleanliness, friendly staff, and wonderful breakfast options. We will definitely stay again when in the area!

We enjoyed our stay here. Helpful and friendly staff. We were amazed at all the healthy options at breakfast. My family is mostly vegan, so we were impressed with the almond milk and soymilk and ground flaxseeds besides the usual breakfast items.

We found reasonably priced, comfortable accommodations. Staff was very hospitable. Breakfast spread was better than expected. The wifi worked perfectly. It was worth the extra drive to get the value we had. Parking was easy. Ice and vending machines worked. Owner onsite. We will stay again.

This is a 2 story older property with no elevator and it has outside corridors. That being said, it is really well maintained, has been updated so that it is quite comfortable and turns out to be a really good value. The rooms were of good size with the sink being at the end of the room. The shower and toilet were in a tiny separate enclosure making it a tight fit at times. The bed was comfortable and everything was quite clean but there was a lingering smell of cleaning solution in our room. The free wifi worked well. Breakfast was varied and tasty with plenty of choices. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Recommended.

We have family that lives in the area and we visit two or three times a year. This will be our Hotel of choice when in Winchester, KY

Pulling into the hotel you are greeted by a sign that states something like, "Stay with people that care". The staff truly lived up to this. From the initial check in, they asked if my grandmother was okay climbing stairs, when we stated she couldn't they switched her to the ground floor, no problem. Every morning at breakfast the staff asked if there was anything we needed from breakfast items or items for our room. On our way back from breakfast we were greeted by several housekeepers who also asked if our room needed to be cleaned or if we needed anything. I have never stayed at a hotel where I felt so well cared for. I would expect this level of caring from a resort. We were in town for a family reunion and many of our family members commented on how old this hotel but stated it had a good reputation for caring for their guests. The hotel may not look like much on the outside but the provided outstanding service.

After attending a University of Kentucky winning football game and heading back to West Virginia, we had made reservations to stay at this Best Western in Winchester. Having stayed there before, upon arrival we noticed the property had a new face and looked great. We recommend this property and will stay here again.

The beds are very comfortable, but the bed coverings are thin (need a thicker blanket). I advised the owner. The room was neat and clean, the TV, internet, and HVAC all worked great. The breakfast had lots of variety and was very good and fresh. The employees and owner were very helpful and concerned about our stay.

Do not let appearances fool you. This older facility is clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious, had comfortable beds and a kitchenette with pots, pans and utensils. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the adjacent lobby was good and had a lot of choices.

i booked through booking.com maybe not smart as better deals if you book through Best Western stay at best western so many nights then get a free one ..We were turned off BW few years back with bad stay that management would do nothing about ...Not here though but was afraid from past experience ...booking.com we kept getting more and more deals through booking we decided to give it a go.was very well priced ...it is off the main road over by some car lots which made it quiet ...when we pulled up I was a bit afraid of what we were going to find the windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned in some time ...but the room was clean, bed was comfy linens soft ...room was smaller than some we have stayed in but was everything we needed for a one night stop NEEDS NEW A/C very loud liked the parking close to the room . but we were on second floor if stairs are issue ask for first ..few ppl out on walk-way smoking...We asked for a receipt on check out and the front desk refused because we booked through a booking site ...Not sure why ..But would have been nice to know charges were right .I would stay again for that price if ever in that town again .

We were moving and nothing was going as planned. They changed our reservation 3 times to accommodate our changes and did it cheerfully and without extra cost. Rooms flawless and breakfast buffet incomparable! Huge selection of hot and cold food of the highest quality, only the best!. I now live in the area and ALL my guests will stay here!

We arrived very late at night with a reservation we made minutes before arrival. The night clerk was prompt and professional. Our room was quiet with a perfect temperature leading to an excellent night's sleep. Breakfast had an amazing selection of food choices. Top notch stay!

Just average. Shower floor was either stained (plastic) or not clean. AC vent was terrible dirty. Towels were dusty. Room and service were very nice. Just a hotel in a smaller town and the room needed to be freshened up and checked prior to our arrival.

Not bad for a one or two night stay. Appeared clean, breakfast was not terrible. You may have sit at a lean on the toilet because it so tight and the toilet paper roll is right in the way of the sitting area. It is TINY, a closet with a tub.

Stayed there on two separate occasions this summer while on business travel. The property is easily accessible from I 64 and convenient to restaurants and gas / convenience stores. It is nicely maintained - the parking lot looked like it had recently been re-blacktopped, the sidewalks were clean, the rooms updated, and fresh paint. It appears the owner(s) are diligent in keeping the property up. The breakfast was good - the standard Best Western setup, and the desk personnel courteous and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is excellent! Great friendly staff, clean rooms, and very well kept. A bit off 75 but well worth the short drive. Upon arrival the lady checking us went out of her way to make sure everything was good. There was an excellent breakfast for a Best Western.

The only complaint would be the air conditioners are in the room near the bathrooms and were making the carpet wet. The lady behind the counter may have been a bit leery of a bunch of motorcycle people not sure exactly what she said to one of our people. Anyway, the breakfast was awesome! Good place to rest!

The staff that checked us in and out were extremely friendly, helpful and kind. The breakfast was superb and healthy with chia seeds, ground flax seeds, raw pumpkin seeds, dates, blueberries, sliced fresh peaches, Greek yogurt, and lots more. This was the most healthy breakfast I've had at any hotel.

This is one of the friendliest hotels that I have ever stayed. The service from check-in to check-out was very good. The room was nice and very clean. Their breakfast bar is great with even many healthy options. I highly recommend this Best Western. It is a little ways off of the interstate, but well worth a short drive.

Located near the interstate (I-64 and I-75) and major highways, but distant enough to limit road noise, the site offers convenient access to the Lexington region; the city of Winchester is also well worth a visit. Pulling into the hotel lot, one is likely to immediately wonder "how does this 2 story, outside entry hotel, with no view, rate a 4 or 5?" (I know I asked myself that very thing). Then you go in the office, and meet the staff or the owner (Shout out to Ruby and Mrs Shah). Kentuckians are renowned for their friendliness and hospitality, and it clearly shows here. The room was very spacious, very clean, and well-appointed, with central (but individually room-controlled) heat & A/C (not the units built in beneath the windows. Some noise is evident outside the door as luggage is wheeled by, but not bothersome. The bedding and pillows (plentiful) are incredibly comfortable. The pool is exceptionally clean, large, deep, and very pleasant, both in its temperature (I'm guessing 78-79 degrees) and in the absence of chemical aroma or taste. There are no elevators; if stairs are an issue, I suggest a first room or suite, but pool access is located on the second floor. The breakfast (hot and cold) buffet offers a very diverse selection, and is likely to satisfy any desire or particular dietary need. The PEOPLE make the BIG difference here. I would not hesitate to stay here again when in the Lexington or Winchester area.

stayed at better bestwestern hotels,had room next to people that opened and closed there door to the outside very loudly about 100 times with people coming and going and going outside to smoke.had problem with itching all night don't know why,if soap used to wash sheets or what,was going to stay 2 night but only stayed one because of that.

We booked this room when we couldnt find a room in Lexington. What a find! Very nice accomodations for any price. The room was clean and comfortable with a fridge and microwave. Nice quiet location away from the highway and about 20 minutes to Lexington. As others have said the breakfast was outstanding and the service beyond compare. They have shower gel and shampoo despensors in the bathroom. Very efficient and useful. The woman at the desk for breakfast and checkout was so nice and welcoming. it felt as if we were guests in her home. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat,

Went to Williamstown,KY to see Noah's Ark and this motel for Best Western had the best rate. Best breakfast assortment i have ever had! Nice sleep and no complaints at all! Motel is easy to get to and is about 40 mile from the Ark There are lots of fruits to select to add to cereal or just eat seperate. Loved it!!

I would definitely stay here again! The room was clean! Linens were fresh. Pillows were a little lumpy but not too bad. The room had all the amenities of a more costly room but at a manageable price. The breakfast was very good! I've never seen an oatmeal dispenser before?!?! Pretty impressive! The bottom line is that it was a very acceptable room at a very acceptable price . We were on an overnight getaway and the hotel was perfect for us. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was unbelievable. Multiple cereal choices, including some gluten free, the normal eggs, bacon, sausage, hotcake biscuits and gravy, plus fruit, yogurt and juices. They also had soy milk and almond milk. The room was clean and had very comfortable beds. We will be recommending this to friends who have to visit the area.

We were exhausted from a long day of driving. We showed up late and still were able to receive a great room. The clerk was very friendly and helpful in making our stay worth while. The parking was lacking but despite that small set back the room was comfy, internet service was reliable and the room was quiet. We got a discount because of a small problem with the sink. Something that caused absolutely no problem for us. It meant more that the cleark asked if that would be a problem and after a resounding no.. she allowed us to have the room. I was so thankful and the clerk was more than helpful in making our stay as comfortable as possible. Next morning despite coming in late they were willing to make sure we had some breakfast and help us keep on our trip.

The stand out of the hotel is certainly the free breakfast. It is a small space, but PACKED with options. Gluten-free cereals, huge topping bar, eggs, potatoes, etc. Room was standard, but clean. There were at least 3 locations letting me know the front desk had some toiletries if you had forgotten something. Friendly greeting at breakfast by the manager (I assume) who was also doing some grunt work of restocking breakfast goodies. Pool was available off the road and had a tube floating with lounge chairs. Didn't swim, but seemed clean.

Stopped in the middle of the night on our way home from a family vacation. We were all exhausted and just needed a place to stay. Check-in was super fast. We were in our room in a matter of minutes. Rooms were spacious, and very clean. Continental breakfast included a wide variety of fresh fruit (watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, pineapple), oatmeal, toppings, cereal, yogurt, muffins, biscuits and gravy, and a nice coffee bar...and more! People at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. This was a wonderfully well-run hotel, and we would definitely stay again on our way through Winchester.

It was OK. I wouldn't say it was a 4. Granted, the day we were there the computer system was down and the lady at the front desk was kind, but a bit frustrated. When I told her the room was prepaid through Hotels.com, she said they don't do that. Um, my credit card says clearly they do. It all worked out in the end, but I was nervous giving my credit card information with her skepticism. At first, she tried to put us in a room and explained we might see a fan in there because there was a water problem, but just put the fan outside our door. When we went into the room, the carpet was still damp, there was a musty smell and two industrial fans going full blast. Um, no thanks. So, we asked if we could have another room and understood if it would have to be on the second floor. She said sure, and gave us another first floor room... why didn't she just do that in the first place? Why put guests in a room that still has towels on the floor and two industrial fans going full blast to dry out a rug? Once we were settled into the new room, which now smelled musty to me, but it probably was just from my previous experience in the other room, the A/C was quite loud, the bathroom very tight in which to maneuver, the "decorative" pillow on the bed had a stain on it (I moved it to the closet as soon as we got in) and the top sheet was quite worn. Other than that, the room was clean, the WiFi free, and the cable offered enough options. It was good to be able to back right up to our door and unload and unload our vehicle. The morning crew did a very good job setting up a breakfast with many options -- including fresh fruit to help balance out the carbs you can always count on at free hotel breakfasts.They were very nice, even refilling coffee tableside. But then they got very pushy about the BW Rewards thing, and just so I could get out without getting rude about it, I signed up for it. For the money -- it was $80 bucks for a nonsmoking king-size -- it was good, but four out of five? I think not.

The Location was perfect. The room was clean and fresh, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We travel this area several times a year and we will return to Best Western. Very good breakfast. The owner was very friendly and attentive to all guest.

We were traveling from NY to MO and needed to spend the day in Winchester. We checked in at 6am and was greeted with a complimentary breakfast worthy of a 4 star hotel. Quick check in, friendly staff. Older hotel but very clean and well maintained. Microwave and fridge in room along with hair dryer, iron and coffee pot. Great water pressure and lots of hot water. Driver was able to sleep 8 straight hours with no noticeable outside noise. Outside pool. Only complaint was wifi dragged if more than one person in room was tranaferring lots of data.

This is an older hotel but it was very clean and well maintained. The woman at the desk at check-in was very friendly, professional, and helpful. She even gave us a nice recommendation for a local restaurant. Upon check out we met one of the owners. She was also very professional, courteous and friendly. The breakfast was good, very typical of the complimentary breakfast. We would stay here again.
