Best Western Starke

The newly renovated rooms were clean and bright. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was very good. We had a problem with the internet and tv going out and they gave us a free night with no hesitation. Highly recommended. I would go back.

The staff has the best customer service and goes out of their way to accommodate. The breakfast is hot and fresh and the lady preparing greets you with a smile. Very clean rooms and the entire staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

I have started coming out to The Best Western - Starke once a month to visit family and Tristan and staff have always been awesome. Tristan always greets with a smile and very friendly and helpful. Me and the kids got in Late Friday/ Early Saturday morning and it felt good to be greeted with a Hi Ms. Crystal and a smile. I am so sorry that I don't have the name of the lady who makes sure that breakfast is replenished and makes sure that you are all right and maintains a clean eating environment. I normally do a double queen room but this time got the King bed and I feel comfortable with every room I have ever stayed in, always clean and great sleep. I consider myself to be a picky person and Best Western-Starke is my Only Go To! 100% in my book!

This hotel has been recently renovated, but the floor in our room was SO dirty that we had to clean it ourselves. Staff is always friendly. Breakfast is decent. Not much in the area, but not bad to stop for a night. Very noisy because of walls being so thin.

Due to being displaced from my local home ( mold!), I had to stay in motels. After a lengthy stay at the Best Western in Waldo, FL, I had to relocate to the Best Western in Starke, FL. I had no idea they are also PET FRIENDLY. This was a blessing! I'm very thankful to the staff & owner of this location. “Missie” is super nice & accommodating! The staff were equally as friendly! The rooms are fresh & updated and the room doors are very secure. The daily breakfast is “off the chain”!! The menu changes daily & that was a nice amenity. Scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits& gravy, sausage, potatoes, etc. There's fruit & the most delicious muffins( see pic). Oh & grits- there's grits in a package to chose from. Lots of variety for breakfast. My mouth is watering now! LOL. Too bad I can't pop in for breakfast this morning LOL There's a nice area to safely walk your pet. The pool area is superb. Also, I think I saw a fire pit with lots of chairs . Beautiful relaxation area. The ice machine & a drink machine are conveniently located. I noticed the staff sweeping the walkway areas every day. That's impressive! Sadly, I had to move on to other accommodations(budget reasons). If you find yourself displaced from home, or traveling thru our area- the Best Western in Starke, FL is highly recommended by me & my fur baby. Sincerely, Kathy & Vegas

This propoerty has obviusly been updated recently. The rooms were very clean. We were in town for a football game so we did not have much time in the hotel but the staff was exceptional and friendly. I woudl highly recommend.

My Stay was great, Tristan at the front desk was professional and amazing personality, check in was a breeze even though it was the weekend of a Gator Football Game. My room was extremely clean, fresh, I am sort of a picky person with my hotel stay with cleanliness and it surpassed my expectations. it felt like a new room and it was great! Definitely will be my go to when I am in the area again.

Lovely clean rooms. The staff are always very nice. They are undergoing rennovations but we never heard any noise or saw any mess. Only complaint was the toaster was crap, but it's a minor inconvenience.

Beds were comfortable. Shower was great. They are doing some renovations. The rooms were very clean. they were all very friendly. We went there due to the hurricane and stayed a couple of days. there is a complimentary Breakfast from 6-9. They have a nice gazebo with a hanging swing, also a table with chairs. i noticed had electric sockets too. We were all happy to have stayed there.

What a fabulous little discovery ! Over the years, we have stayed at many roadside style hotels during our travels. This was, by far, the best. Although the renovations are not complete (the outside is next, we're told) our room was completely remodeled. Beds, Floors, Curtains, Walk-in Shower, AC, Furniture,... Wall to Wall tastefully coordinated. Hot breakfast in the morning too !! Exceptionally clean, and a friendly staff.

I have been staying at the Best Western in Starke, FL on Hwy 301 for many years to visit a local relative. I cannot say enough good things about this facility. The impeccable service is always appreciated, which is no surprise since it is a family owned and operated BW. This family totally committed three generations of management, going back 46 years, to provide consistent service. My reason for writing this review now is that this BW is completing an impressive renovation of the entire facility. This weekend I stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms and was blown away by the quality, style, and updates. I've stayed in Best Westerns for years all over the country and cannot remember any other BW being any better than the BW in Starke.

This is 1 awesome place cudos to the staff and thanks for the stress free experience and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone here fabulous I can't even give enough praise I can't a special shot out to Ty And Missy Thanks very much.

Everything here was as good or better than a place costing considerably more. The staff was very friendly. The new renovations are great. It's nice to see an owner actually put money back into the building.

They are currently renovating their rooms, we had a newly renovated, never used before room and it was beautiful. Very clean, comfortable bed, very good breakfast and staff that really seem to care about your stay which seems rare nowadays. Highly recommend.

We stayed July 21-23 beds are very comfortable room was clean the best was the staff! Super helpful and very friendly! Beverly was absolutely amazing went above and beyond even gave my mom some flower advice! Her garden outside is absolutely beautiful! Super friendly and her food was delicious! Thank you so much Beverly for being so kind and helpful! Carla also went above and beyond anything we needed she got right away! We met the owners and they also went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay! Every employee greeted us with smiles and genuine kindness! Even though they had construction going on it did not infer at all with our stay ! We will definitely stay at the Best Western when we are in the Starke area again! Their cozy room and kindness was the best! Thank you all so much!

Just stayed at this hotel. What a wonderful experience. The establishment is under renovation and we were assigned a BRAND NEW room. Shower was magnificent and beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was easy and many choices. Will stay again.

Hotel is small, but this allowed for the personal touch from staff. They were all so friendly, and shared information on best places to eat, provided directions on getting around, and tips on what to look out for while driving in certain areas. Missy, Beverly, and Marketa all treated us like royalty!

Very nice motel great staff everyone was so friendly and willing to talk with me and help with any needs. I would stay here again if the need ever comes about. Had a great breakfast too. The only drawback was UF graduation weekend and all motels doubled the price for stay this weekend. This is why I didn't give full 5 for value. Thanks BW for the great experience.

Stayed for one night on the way to Savannah. okay. They are doing renovations and they definitely need them. The room is definitely tired. It was fairly clean- couldn't use the fridge though as it was moldy inside. Not much to do in Starke, but a couple of restaurants so you can get something to eat. Breakfast was good- better than expected. Just an overnight stop- not the best but doable.

Old school but renovating. They take great care of you here. I definitely recommend if you're not a snob. I have stayed here in many different rooms during the work week. The renovated room was redone very nicely.

I've been staying at the Best Western for over 20 years, and I have been pleased with it. It is comfortable, clean, and well-managed. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is clean and inviting. The breakfast is over and above - eggs with bacon or sausage each morning, sausage gravy, and an assortment of fruit, breads, and cereals. You can make your own waffles as well. I believe that this is by far the best hotel in Starke.

Very clean room and affordable .The staff was very friendly and helpful.I stayed for three weeks and management was awesome and very friendly.I will be back next month for another three weeks.I highly recommend this place.

We wanted to attend a wake for a family member, and the local area had several events going on at the same time. The local hotels had inflated their rates for these special events, and most of them were full. We chose this hotel because it was reasonably close to our destination, had good reviews and was reasonably priced. We were not expecting anything great but were pleasantly surprised. This is an older motel which has been upgraded a few times I'm sure. The room was small, but comfortable and quiet and, most importantly clean. The service provided from check in to check out was excellent and cordial - in one case, the person at the front desk went out of her way to help us. And, the included hot breakfast was very good and convenient. This is a great mid-level motel, and I would recommend it to anyone traveling in that area.

I booked my night the same day as I was heading to the FIRM for a track event and wanted to spend the night so I did not have to travel all in one day. Best Western was about 15 minutes from the track and the commute was easy. It was a great choice as the room was clean, bed was decent, and there was internet access. It's very hard for me, personally, to rate things at perfect 5 stars or 10/10 unless everything is absolutely stellar. However, I do recommend this Best Western if you need a layover for traveling in the area.

After driving up from Ft Meyers I was exhausted and the hotels are somewhat limited on highway 301. My girlfriend and I figured we were gambling on staying at this Best Western but I couldn't keep my eyes open much longer. I staggered in at almost midnight and the man behind the counter had a big smile, I explained how tired I was, he gave us a great room, close to the office, air conditioning blowing, comfortable bed, never heard a sound all night, hot shower, and a great breakfast after checking out. We weren't sure about staying at this small hotel but this place has made me a Best Western customer for life. I can't explain how much I appreciated the hospitality you gave to us that night. Also, one thing that stood out was when I told the guy at the desk how tired I was and I REALLY needed some rest he said that if any of the residents were noisy just to let him know. It was quiet all night but that was pretty cool of him to show his concern. A++++ for this hotel

Old time motel with outside access. The room had a very strong mildew smell that was overwhelming. Would suggest that when traveling you're better off staying in hotels that are off the interstate. They're much more modern.

The evening and morning staffs were both super helpful and friendly, great breakfast buffet, CLEAN rooms! Cleaning crew did a great job. Nothing was left out-everything we needed for our two rooms was perfect, will definitely use Best Western again, especially if we are back in Starke Florida!

Arrived at Midnight and employee who checked us in was very polite, nice and upbeat. Breakfast employee was very polite and greeted us also, made sure we didn't need anything. Housekeeping staff was very polite when they checked if we wanted service, we told her no we were good . All employees were friendly, greeted you and made the stay enjoyable.

We needed a place to stay close to family members in Keystone Heights. If you are looking for swanky and fancy, this isn't your place. However, if you want a clean, comfortable place with an attentive staff, this is it !! We stayed for four nights. The General Manager, Mr. Patel made a point to introduce himself and to speak to us each time we crossed paths. Ty at the front desk was very efficient, friendly and accommodating. Beverly the "breakfast lady" kept the full breakfast flowing and the area clean. She would make sure to ask if we needed anything and offered to take out used plates to the trash for us. She made the comment that she loves her job, and it shows!! The housekeeping staff was wonderful as well. Our room was kept clean and my request for an extra bath mat the first day was provided everyday without having to ask for it again. Anytime we encountered Karen she asked if we needed anything, even if she was busy in another room. Although we did not use the pool or pavilion, we walked over and noticed that it was clean and inviting. Needless to say, if we ever need a place in the area again, it will be our first choice!

We were driving north, leaving Florida after spending four months there. We were driving in a downpour in thunder and lightning. We couldn't find a place to stay in Ocala so I called BW in Starke 50 miles north of Ocala. They had a room for us! It was such a pleasant surprise. The room was very clean! Breakfast the next morning was excellent and the person serving was extremely friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful with a gazebo and swimming pool, palm trees and beautiful plants. I was taking a photo of my husband and a gentleman approached and took the photo so I could be in it. He introduced himself as the manager and I told him how very impressed we were with the hotel, the cleanliness, the breakfast and the staff. We will definitely stay there again!

I absolutely love this little gem. We stayed overnight after my daughter's wedding nearby. Ty was at the desk and checked us in. He was extremely pleasant and helpful. I mentioned to him that the bride and groom were going to be checking in too, he provided them with a "goody" bag with snacks, bottled water and some hard boiled eggs to eat since we all know that they don't eat at the reception. The water pressure in the shower was so strong and relaxing. It was clean and quiet there and I would definitely stay again.

The room had a funny smell. Everything looked clean, until I got to the tub, which was visibly dirty from years of being used. It tainted my whole feeling about the place. Sheets were fine, bed was good.

We came to town to be vendors at a festival. The weather was terrible. But, the staff here made us feel welcome. Made sure we was satisfied and ok. And fed us an amazing breakfast each day before we left for the day. It is an older hotel, it has charm. It is very clean. The Wi-Fi worked great. I cannot say enough about the amazing ladies that works there. All was great always a smile on their faces and all was wanting &willing to assist with any needs we had.

While staying at the Best Western we had trouble with our TV. We called the front desk and someone came to fix it immediately. The staff is wonderful, especially the girl who is at the front desk. Breakfast was lovely too. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was not cleaned properly. Dust, debris about the room. Bathtub was disgrace. Didn't use it. The front desk staff were pleasant and recognized my Best Western status. They also provided information on best restaurants in town.

Room was very clean as was rest of hotel. Breakfast was great with many options and the breakfast attendant keep all food containers filled, asked if guests needed anything, kept breakfast area cleaned and even cleared our plates for us.

While the staff were super helpful and friendly, the room was a disgrace. It was dirty, dusty and falling apart in spots. The bathtub had at one time been refinished but the finish was coming off and the whole tub was filthy. The tub surround was not fastened correctly to the walls and the toilet was gross. Something had dried on to the handle and I didn't want to touch it. The sink counter was coming away from the wall. The whole room was dated, which I can live with, if it's clean and safe. We have stayed in many best westerns but this one was the worst. And it wasn't one of the cheaper ones!

We always stay here during Gatornationals race week and have always had a pleasant experience. Rooms and lobby, kitchen have been recently remodeled and it is great to see breakfast back after Covid closure last year. Staff is friendly and helpful and rooms are clean.

I stay at the BEST WESTERN in STARKE several times per year! The staff members are always helpful. My visits are always comfortable. It is nice to know that a local business owner still cares about the local community. Thanks!

Small Town USA, everyone was very friendly and helpful! Check out Powell's Dairy Freeze right next door as well, world famous hot dogs is what I'm told, we had ice cream. Room was outdated but bed was comfortable! If you are needing a place to rest your head this value hotel is a good choice. Nothing fancy but clean and friendly staff! Oh and you get free breakfast and internet!

We had some apprehensions about this hotel having read some reviews that pointed out issues with the nearby train tracks and other things. In reality our stay was just wonderful. Any train noise that may have been present was masked by a steady fan noise from somewhere outside our room, providing a nice “white noise” function for a good night's sleep. Room was clean and functional, staff were very nice and breakfast was excellent. Incidentally the ice cream drive-in about a block away provided a good fast food meal.

The motel is an older motel with outside entrances. But still clean and OK. But beware there is a train right behind them and it blows it's whistle every 2 hours all night, forget sleeping. Front desk's comment was “You'll get use to it”

This hotel is an A+ from check it to check out, the owner and staff are super friendly, helpful and professional. Very clean rooms, hot breakfast, love it so much ❤️ I would recommend this Hotel to any and all!

After a prolonged drive from New Jersey - the day after Christmas and 6 hours of crawling traffic behind multiple car accidents - we arrived at Starke Best Western exhausted!!! The staff in every department met us with smiles and gracious offerings of whatever we might need. The breakfast area was spotless, well stocked, and the staff remained in the area to help travelers get their breakfasts. The Best Western staff turned a difficult first day into a sweet 'new day' for our trip to Florida.

This hotel is ok, only complained is TV is not smart for some Netflix apps despite all smart TV now is so cheap, shower doesn't have adjustable pressure, no middle stairs, no GYM at all. Breakfast is good, location is ok, close to downtown Starke, 10 minutes to Camp Blanding.

Everyone on the staff was friendly. From the gentleman who checked us in in the evening to the lady in charge of the breakfast area, to the lady at the front desk, everyone was cheerful and helpful. The young woman who checked us out in the morning took the time to put in the coupons I had, and did it with a smile. Can't say enough good about this place. Would definitely stay here again if we return to this area.

The front desk staff and breakfast attendant at this hotel are exceptionally friendly and helpful. It's in a quiet location and many of the guests are workmen who are gone during the day and quiet at night. Except for the cars in the parking lot you'd hardly know anyone else was at the hotel. The Powell's Dairy Freeze next door is a good place to go for a fast food type meal, snack, or sweet treat. Breakfast is included in the cost of the room; some choices are waffles, cold cereal with milk, fruit juice, instant oatmeal, scrambled eggs, toast, muffins, pastries, biscuits with gravy, yogurt, boiled eggs, and fresh fruit - quite a feast! The hotel facilities themselves are showing some age and wear, but there's plenty of hot water and the beds are comfortable and in excellent condition. The pool in the summer makes it even better. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the Starke area.

This is a very nice hotel for the area, very clean, staff is professional. The breakfast is fully cooked and was delicious. We felt safe and comfortable. Everyone was friendly, it was too cold to use the pool but it was a really pretty area along with the gazebo.

Clean grounds, walkways and stairs. Clean parking lot. Well lit, felt safe there. Nice, courteous staff, helpful in giving me the best rate based on my eligibility. Nice breakfast, clean refrigerator and microwave. The room wasn't brand new, but it was clean. I would definitely stay there again.

We are return costumers, Rooms and property are clean and Quiet. Breakfast was nice and Hot, with a variety of foods and coffee was Great!!! Employee have always been very kind and personable. We stayed for an Off road event in Keystone Heights and the manager were very nice to let us keep our tailors in the parking lot..

I travel all around the world. A good decent affordable hotel room is hard to find espevially outside of major cities. I found my place to stay in Starke, FL. Good, clean rooms and a great owner/staff. The breakfast also had a variety of foods which I enjoyed as well. Thank you Best Western of Starke!

Every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming. Beverly warmly greeted us at breakfast and was attentive and accommodating. She even made the sausage gravy from scratch and it was great! You can tell that from housekeeping to management, the staff here enjoy their work and care about doing their jobs well. The room was clean and quiet. We are planning to stay here again on our way to Florida next year.

After a very long travel day, we decided to spend the night at 9:30 PM. The gentleman behind the desk was cheerful and welcomed us. Room was very nice with fridge, microwave, tv, coffeemaker, and all the essentials. Breakfast was a delightful surprise. We would definitely go out of our way to stay here again, and would recommend it most heartily to family and friends.

Nicki was incredible in helping me book 5 rooms. She helped me apply discounts and made my trip planning super easy. The rooms were all clean and tidy. If you are in the area I highly recommend staying here.

Everything about my visit was top notch. The managers and staff were available and helpful. The property felt safe and breakfast would rival IHOP. I would recomend this motel to anyone visiting the area.

What a great experience for tired travelers who find themselves in Starke! All of the staff from the GM to the front desk to the breakfast and cleaning crew were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. This Best Western still has a 70s vibe but we are told all will be updated soon. We slept well enough in a dark, quiet room, had plenty of hot water for showers, and a great breakfast!

So me and my family went to the fl and Tennessee game and couldn't find hotels ANYWHERE! We finally found one and I wasn't sure how I would feel bc I'm used to staying in nice hotels but we didn't have a choice. Let me tell you!! This place is amazing and we will definitely be staying again! They made the stay so welcoming and they are so nice and will do anything they can to help you. I felt like I have none them for a long time that's how welcoming they was to me and my family. We loved the stay here thank you so much for making the visit more than welcoming! Definitely recommend!

So I needed a last minute place to crash for the week while doing utility work in the area. Lady at the front desk was super nice! Room1:Walked in to find a decent (at first glance “clean” ) room. Room1:Burn holes and stains (white) , don't worry there's pictures… on the top bed cover. turning on all the lights I found a creepy crawlers behind the door and another one just running up the wall. Went down to the front desk and my room was changed. Room2: Cleaner but burn holes again (just throw them out) Not trying to be a KAREN but y'all need to clean better.!!Thank goodness I brought a pillow and blanket. I'm leaving in the morning!

Well it was for work I try to use best western where ever I go they always welcome me room's are always cleaning cool microwave work good refrigerator nice and big pillows nice and soft plenty of room too stuff

Well, I stayed in this hotel before with no issues at all, but this time however it was different. I found BED BUGS! When I notified the front desk, it was the worst it happen to me ever: the clerk on duty did no believe it even when I showed it to her. A bed bug ALIVE, she blame it to the rain and then she blame on me, she also threatened me on calling the cops on me, she said it was my problem and said there was nothing she could do about it. Would you like to be in a place like this? I don't think so. They didn't want to move me to another room or something. It was just frustrating goin through this in the middle of the night and raining, I don't think it is right! I hope this would be helpful to other guests!

It was almost 11p and I knew a Motel 6 was ahead as I headed south to Naples. An hour and 2 rooms later I lucked out across the street with this Best Western's last room available. It was a smoking room that didn't smell at all ~ Kudos to housekeeping & management! It was the most comfortable, clean & quiet room. It was the last room on the bottom North corner of the building. The pool was wonderful in size and temp the next morning and the neighborhood was perfect for getting a walk before more hours of driving. My only challenge was trying to find a safe parking spot after midnight. Some large trucks, trailers and buses had blocked some areas which left other 'legal' spots unsafe. When I called the front desk to ask about it, I wasn't given suggestions so much as warnings.

I recently spent a night in Starke at the Best Western. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was clean and had all of the amenities that we needed. Internet connection was great. Beds were very comfortable.

The check-in process was smooth and easy with a reservation. Only thing is, if you would like the AAA discount please be prepared to present the physical card and not the digital version. Outside of that, the rooms and hotel grounds were very cleanly. The housekeepers were diligent and responded to requests promptly. We had a great experience.

The room was nice, clean and smelt good. Bed was comfortable. The area was very safe. Unfortunately we had a medical emergency but I would like to thank Shay who is employed there for her help with the situation. She sprang into action with no questions asked. She was very compassionate. Thank you very much

I stayed just one night at this Best Western while traveling and was thrilled with the experience. The front desk clerk, Sim, was an intelligent, friendly and engaging young woman who greeted us warmly and intelligently and was kind enough to engage in chit chat as we waited for the other half of our party to arrive. Sim explained this was a family owned business and the pride shows. The rooms, bathroom, bed and everything were very, very clean and well maintained. I'm not an expert, but I can tell the building itself is a little older, but everything inside was freshly painted and newly appointed, and as I said earlier, very clean. Cannot ask for a better one night experience than this place.

I've stayed here for a couple of weeks and it was pretty good. You couldn't find a better place around here. The rooms were clean and everything was quite good. So I do recommend staying here. The staff was pretty friendly as well.

Can't Say Enough Good Things About This Hotel! I Wondered In After A Very Exhausting Drive & Nicki Was Sooo Very Nice And Understanding. She Put Me In A Room At The Very End So That I Could Unwind. Gave Me Some Excellent Recommendations For Local Restaurants To Try And When The Soda Machine Ate My Money She Didn't Question Me, Just Ran Got More Money And Took Care Of The Situation. This Experience Was Sooo Phenomenal That I Stayed There Again On My Way Back From My Trip. She Remembered Me As Soon As I Walked In And Gave Me The Same Room. I'll Definitely Be Back Again!!! Excellent People, Excellent Hotel And An Excellent Experience! Thank You Nicki For Being Sooo Kind And Understanding!

We checked in at 6pm and found the TV didn't work. The receptionist said this was happening all week. I asked her nicely at 6pm to please send up the maintenance man. She said "he starts at 11pm." WHAT? She offered to come up and "jiggle the wires." I told the manager about the TV not working, and he it's Comcast's fault. I said "That's between your hotel and Comcast. I paid for a room for with a working TV - especially in this town where there nothing to do. The manager was rude, arrogant and obnoxious. I asked for his name, and he said "go find it yourself." I suggested that he offer a discount because the TV was broken and the maintenance man was not there. He laughed and said "no way." I would highly recommend looking else for accommodations.

This was a gem of a hotel in a great location. We stumbled across it by accident one rainy night. It had all the good qualities we expect from Best Western. Not luxury. But clean, comfortable and quiet. Friendly helpful staff. Great value!

Stayed there while visiting family at the KOA. Friendly, clean, and comfortable. Close to hwys and local routes; easy traveling. Motel was a good stay; we will gladly stay there again when we're over that way. Stay with confidence.

The entire staff made our stay pleasurable. From Missy who saved us from a (literally) buggy motel across the street to Ty who accommodated our schedule and needs to Paul who greeted us every day with a smile.

My husband and I were in town for a wedding last weekend. We booked BW because it seemed to be the best option in the area. We were extremely pleased. I would highly recommend this hotel. The owners of this hotel really put service 1st. They were extremely kind and hospitable. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. We would not think twice about staying here again

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Starke area. Reasonably priced, Sam and Missy, the proprietors are so warm, friendly and accommodating. All the employees are also very friendly and keep your room very clean and well stocked. The pool area and gazebo are are extremely well maintained and include a fire pit and large grill. They are pet friendly and loved our golden retriever.

Extremely excellent staff. They are k .knowledgeable and thoughtful of people's needs. Also, a good night's rest It is conveniently located on Florida route 301 when traveling north to south and visa versa, .

The room was fine. Mr. Jordan at the front desk was very helpful with history of the town and a great recommendation for dinner. Sorry, Tripadvisor, but I have no more details to add. But, I will add a few more to meet the 200 word requirement.

Flying my private plane north from FLL and due to adverse weather condition made a landing at Keystone Hts Airport, while in flight my co-pilot contacted hotel and made reservations. Land at airport and at six pm there were no Uber or Taxi service. Called hotel asking for service and I was willing to pay a premium for them to help. Receptionist told me not her problem and went on to tell me she works 2 days and it's up to her management Mr. Patel. I asked for him to contact me and gave my cell number, waited at the airport stranded and never received a call, followed up twice with receptionist and she told me Mr. Patel will call if he decides. Well after an hour we decided to fly to Gainesville Airport and book another hotel where they were gracious to provide pick-up at the Fixed Base Operator (FBO). The lack of a return call tells me a lot about management and a business. If the owner called and told me that they can't do it, then i am ok, but to leave me hanging for an hour expecting a call is extremely poor. I was also told that they will not give me a refund , however my trips are protected and have other avenues. Good luck sustaining your business for future, you have lost a regular flyer and co-pilot and my family from ever staying here in future.

The owner and staff always make sure our stay is comfortable. We appreciate that very much. Only one "complaint" and it has nothing to do with this Best Western location. We are kinda tired of not being able to use all the amenities that Best Western has always offered because of this virus nightmare. We look forward to having life be pre-2020 again.

Despite being elite Best Western members, we were offered no amenities. The hotel did not offer any breakfast options, There were cobwebs in the corners and the room decor was badly in need of updating.

Go to the BW in Waldo. The room was dirty. Although Waldo is further to drive from Starke it was actually a cheaper stay and a MUCH better hotel! This was a 2 star rated hotel on the internet, and I would rate it in the negative.

well kept and quiet. Outdoor entry for all rooms. lots of contractors smoking, drinking beer outside of rooms. I'd call it a good contractor hotel. it was clean and quiet. Good access to the area for business.

Very clean, everything worked, plenty of restaurants nearby, and great for pets. We found a very good local seafood restaurant named the Cedar River Seafood and from Alligator to Frog legs they had a lot to offer and the prices were more than reasonable and the portions were ample!!

The best western is the best place in starke. Always clean. They are very friendly. I usually get in early and they have alway let me check in early. I've never had issues with shady people there unlike some of the places in starke. My last visit was during the covid outbreak. It was sanitary and the housekeeping was using social distancing and masks. They always make me feel welcome . I've stayed here multiple times and I've never had a issue or a bad experience. The beds are comfortable and everything in the rooms have always worked properly. I definitely recommend staying here

This is an older property and with that comes its own particular challenges especially in cleanliness. The staff and owner are on the quick to address any concerns and that is greatly appreciated. We have stayed here several times and will do so again. Their care is what brings us back again and again. Oh, I really paid attention to the decor on this trip and its very nice, and, we absolutely love the beds; nice and firm; great sleep.

Good quality service, especially the employee Paul he is the nicest and coolest guy you'll meet. Paul made sure we were set with clean towels and he was always had positive energy no matter what time it was in the morning.

Paul makes sure everything is clean and maintained. No complaints from us, we have 8 crews there, week after week for months... no issues what so ever... staff is extremely friendly... any thing you need, they will get it for you, within reason.

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. Very clean Hotel and the friendly people who work there make your day! Everyone who works there from the management to the housekeeping made us feel welcome, and at home during our long stay. I especially want to mention Paul from housekeeping, you can tell he truly enjoyed providing hospitality and went out of his way to say hello to us and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time we stayed. I thought he was such a wonderful person! I just want him to know how much we appreciated his smile in the rough time my family was going through. Hope to see you again Paul! We had a team up in Starke every Monday-Thursday for FOUR MONTHS. Melody and Clay at Best Western were AWESOME. They made the process of making reservations and paying super easy and convenient for us. Our guys loved it there and felt like they were family. If you're in the area, especially for business, we can't recommend Best Western Starke enough!

This is the third time that I've stayed in this place in the last year, for 5 days each time. The first couple of times were okay, albeit I don't like where it's located. On this trip though, it's like someone pulled the plug. The carpeting in my room was GROSS! I took a pic of what happened to my white socks after just one night of walking around in my room...they were BLACK! Where I had spilled a bit of food (pizza) the day before, was still unswept when I came in the next day . The bedspread is also pretty gross, and found it's way on the floor each night, never to be used. As much of a problem as I have with the cleanliness in the room, I can't take away from the front-desk staff. They were very friendly, and quite helpful, so I had zero problems with them. I will be returning to that area in a couple of months, and I'm NOT going to stay there, I'll go to Middleburg and stay in the Hampton Inn there. A fellow course attendee who I had known on previous trips, refused to stay here as well, and highly recommended the Hampton Inn. Save your money and go someplace else!

Older hotel in a small town. Quiet. Needs more parking. Came for a sporting clays tournament. Several shooters stay here during it, not many options in starke. Room has had some updates since last year. The shower mold is way better than it use to be. Had new coffee makers. It was clean but old.

This is the most fantastic Best Western around. Rooms are clean and large. Stage is helpful, courteous, friendly and professional. And threw breakfast is absolutely the best. I fully recommend that if you are in the Starke, Florida area, stay here. It's the best.

Put me in a handicap room when I neither requested on my reservation nor when I checked in. While handicapped capable rooms work great for those who need it, those that don't need it must endure the lack of some expected amenities.

The employees were attentive and sweet, just wonderful! The breakfast they offer was the best I have ever had at a hotel! Room was clean,although the beds were a bit hard. But this Best Western is doing everything right!

The Starke Best Western was clean, modern, and the staff was very very professional. Breakfast was good- variety and staff was on their toes keeping everything stocked and tables cleaned. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you for the southern hospitality. Vacations are so much more enjoyable when you have a great place to stay.

Our first time at this hotel and it was a very nice surprise. The marquee says "New Rooms" and they certainly are. The entire property has been totally updated and it is delightful. It is obviously not a new building but it has been tastefully redone and remodeled. Clean, comfortable, convenient and a great value for the price. As with older properties, rooms have outside entrances, but worth putting up with since the property is so nice. Great friendly staff too!

We got one of the refurbished rooms and it made a huge difference. The beds were lovely, the AC unit was reasonably quiet and everything worked the way it should. Since the new by pass has been built the trucks no longer go through town making it much quieter. Would recommend this hotel.

The room was extremely dirty - covered in mold. Issues with booking when I requested a non smoking and got stuck with an awful smelling smoking room. Management accommodated the price and was apologetic and friendly. Just had an extremely nasty room experience.

My family stayed at the Best Western in Starke Florida. I want to take a moment to brag highly on the service we received. While everyone at the hotel was great, the breakfast was amazing, rooms were nice and clean I want to especially speak about Ty Jordan (front desk). We did not meet Ty until our last day at the hotel, however that morning at breakfast we had 2 toddlers with us and Ty went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He interacted with the kids and kept the breakfast bar fully stocked plus he checked on us regularly. While that is a nice thing for an employee to do he especially touched my heart at check out. My father is a disabled veteran and him and my mother drove a different vehicle. When my father went to crank his car it would not start. At first we thought it was the battery so Ty pulled his truck up to give my father's car a jump. The car still did not start so not only did Ty try to help with the vehicle he even went as far as getting on the ground and looking under my father's car to see if there was an issue he could see. Finally, my father did get his vehicle cranked and we were able to make it home but I want the entire internet world to know if they are ever in Starke, Florida for any reason be sure to stay at Best Western for a chance to meet this caring individual.

Our stay was okay. We were disappointed that the room was not ready until 3:00 pm. The room was nice enough, nothing special. The bed was hard. The breakfast room is small and had a hot breakfast, but selection was limited. The person who checked us in and out was friendly.

This is a very nice motel, an oasis of sorts among the rather dreary looking competition! Every one was very friendly and helpful, notably the young lady who checked me in (I didn't get her name) and Ty Jordan and the rest of the morning crew. I will definitely stay again!

It's not often I would be traveling to Starke but I found myself in need of a hotel close to a school there. I made the reservations with some trepidation. I wasn't sure what I was going to find. I have to say I was pretty happy with the room. It was clean and the decor was good. My only complaint is that the bed was hard as a rock so I didn't sleep very well. I wasn't there for the breakfast so I don't know how that was. The staff was super nice and were so efficient with check in. I know I'll have to go back at some point so when I do I'll probably be staying there once again. Price was good and I felt like it was good value.

During our stay, my wife misplaced several items of jewelry. We promptly reported the situation to hotel management. Mr. Patel (the general manager), his associate, Ty, and other members of the staff provided every possible assistance in reviewing hotel video and card key records in an exceptionally professional, businesslike and caring way...which ultimately resulted in locating and recovering the items we had misplaced & were unable to locate. The Best Western Starke, its management and staff are totally focused providing an exceptional travel experience for its guests as well as their safety, well-being and comfort. In short, we were treated as honored guests, not merely customers. We give Best Western high marks all around. And will return on our next trip to this area of Florida.

Very clean and fresh modern room. Very helpful cheerful staff. Easy access off Hwy 301in clean quiet neighborhood. Fresh interior and exterior painting. Great wifi new widescreen TV. Direct parking access to room. Parking spaces were large and easy for backup parking.

My family and I got two rooms for two nights, both rooms were covered in ants. woke up several times through out the night because i felt like something was crawling on me and surprise surprise! ants! when we first arrived to the rooms, we noticed a few ants. said something to the front desk and we were given ant spray. which of course did not work. the next day, someone came in our room with spray you can buy from walmart and sprayed the room down. later that evening we came back from eating, still had ants in the bed, and ants all in the carpet. i was standing in front of the bed and was bit twice, a long with my child being big several times the day before. ants were also all over the pool area. extremely dissatisfied with this hotel. will be going down the road to the motel six. (i tried to attach a photo of some ants but is hard to see in the carpet)

We needed to stay as our car broke down and we had to wait for parts from the Dodge Dealer up the street. Everyone was very understanding and nice to us. Our cleaning lady, Beverly, was so helpful and made herself available if needed. The gentleman that seems to do everything there was so concerned and wanted to assure us he will help us if we needed anything. I do not remember his name.

I would recommend this hotel for anyone passing through or doing work in town. My only recommendation would be for the hotel to offer/have a pack n play onsite for families with young kids to have the option of using.

We score a pair of tixs for the Garth Brooks Stadium Tour. We wanted a place to stay after the concert so we would not have to drive home after the show. The closest place to Gainesville we could find was in Stark, being from Jax, it was half way between. Check-in was easy and quick. In the lobby area you have the breakfast area, the business center and the front desk. This area is very nice and quaint. The breakfast area seems very ADA accessible. There are two floors of rooms, all outside access, no elevator. All areas on the ground level are ADA accessible. Our room was on the 2nd floor. Our room was a standard 2 Queen Bed room. We had Cable satellite television, In-room movies, free local calls, complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access, free long distance access, Dataports, Wake-up calls, AM/FM alarm clock, Coffee/tea maker, Hairdryer, Iron, ironing board, Additional in-room toiletries, Air-conditioning, Microfridge The room was clean and fairly quiet, no real issues. The only thing was in the AM you can hear people move about outside the room. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

Spent 3 nights, room was comfortable, tub was stained. Okay for a short trip. Location is convenient to town and next door is a drive in Burgers and shake joint. There is a small pool and outdoor bbq grill. Most likely the best hotel in Starke.

We left late on Easter for Clearwater and stopped here on the way - we didn't get there until almost midnight - very friendly front desk - nice clean hotel with dark out curtains to help sleep - recently remodeled - great little breakfast - glad we found it

This hotel is a good spot. Very dark rooms for those who like to sleep late or on a bizarre schedule. Breakfast set up was a set up promptly and fully ready before the scheduled time. Staff was perfect. Super nice and helpful

This hotel is clean and offers good amenities. However, even the non-smoking rooms will receive all the smells from the non-smoking rooms. When I complained they said that it would come from the vents...meaning there are NO NON SMOKING ROOMS IN THIS HOTEL. I almost asphyxiate smelling the smoke of cigars all night...not worth my money -- stay in other properties away from Starke as it seems like all the other ones are the same!

This is a very convenient location as we travel from the North to the South. The hotel is fresh and clean, newly remodeled. I requested a wheelchair accessible room which was beautiful but not functional for a person such as myself. The bed which is new is taller than the standard bed, too high to comfortable transfer into from a wheelchair. Having traveled on the road for days I anticipated a wonderful shower but the shower set up was not functional for my needs. It has the typical set up a seat too far away from the water controls and without a handheld shower head, so no shower for me. I did review my disappointment with the manager but I am not sure if we can stay here again due to my specific needs of a wheelchair user. Next door is a drive in burger joint that serves a variety of food within walking distance. Overall a great place, just not for me. I will also mention that the housekeeping staff is very good. We had to wait a bit for our room to be ready but the time was taken to be sure everything was as it should be.

This hotel was really clean and all the staff is really nice. The breakfast was your typical eggs and sausage and waffles. The only downside of the stay was the small pillows. They are like throw pillows. And also the train that is always going by

Traveling with family. Check in was great, got to romm and previous occupant has smoked so housekeeping was special treating the room. Very clean and comfy. Had a problem with the room key, but clerk and housekeeping were quick to fix. Great breakfast. Right on 301, which is easy and convenient, but a little noisy. Would stay again.

The rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable, the staff was amazing and the breakfast was really good with too many choices to pick from and all the food was very good. Every staff member could not have been nicer or more helpful. We would not hesitate to stop here again when passing thru.

My hubby and I were coming through Starke, FL yesterday afternoon and were getting tired. We stopped at the Best Western, generally not our first choice, and luckily they had a room. The hotel obviously had recently been renovated. The room, a double queen, was clean and comfy. A little miffed they had no King that was a non smoking room but without prior reservations it was no big deal. The staff was very friendly and helpful for dinner choices. All staff had a positive attitude from the front desk girl, Kaitlyn, to the breakfast coordinator to the custodians. We would definitely stay again if in the area. We recommend this hotel with out any hesitation.

My husband not being well, was ready to stop and rest, so we checked in here. Dixie was so pleasant and courteous. Check in was a breeze. Our room was lovely and spacious. Management was quick to fix our room phone so we could make calls, as our cell phone was destroyed with coke. Upon check out, management and Melody wished us well on our travels and said please come back. Very nice people, and yes, we would stay here again.

I am a Marriott Platinum level from my many years of corporate travel. My husband and I are now retired and have become great fans of the value of Best Western. On our journey North, we spent the night at the Best Western in Starke. Room was immaculately clean, and my hubby raved about the hot breakfast in the morning. The town of Stark is really a throwback to an earlier age. The original buildings on call Street have been saved and repurposed and so many ways. Ty, the manager, does it all from checking us into mopping the floors. Great customer service all around. Will be back.

Rooms were recently updated. Very clean and comfy. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast serving ends at 9am on Sunday, which was too early for us (we arrived at midnight). It was a good stay for us, and we'd stay again!

I'm not sure who is filling out these reviews, but I stayed at this hotel based on the strength of their reviews. I will not be returning to this hotel, or any other Best Western branded hotel. The outside appearance is nice. The staff were friendly. The room had a distinct odor, and the bedside table was dirty. There was a hole in the bathroom door where people could plainly see inside and out. Also, the bathroom door would not shut without difficultly. Most importantly, the hotel charges more for booking by phone than internet. This is a deceptive business practice.

The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming, I was there for a night on a business trip, the room was clean, the location was close to my training location, overall experience at this particular location was great.

Clean bedding, new furniture, quiet night. AC worked great. Toilet and shower were clean. Lots of soft towels. Didn't make it to free breakfast because the room was so dark... not a bad thing! Was a very nice surprise. That's all we wanted. Would definitely stay again.

This is not my first time at this hotel. I have family in the area & have used it a few times over the years. It's always been a great stay. Our King room was exactly as it appears in photos. Always a clean room. Well kept up hotel as well. The bathroom is really nice too. Their free breakfast was very good. Eggs, sausage, variety of breads & cereals along with a do it yourself waffle maker. Courteous staff & easy check in & out. Close to a few places to eat & local stores.

Visited Starke Florida for the first time and stayed at this Best Western hotel and left very happy . Room was very nice and clean , the staff at the hotel was very friendly and the outside also kept in top shape .before I forget this hotel has a great continental breakfast included when you book a room. Will stay here again when I come back and I definitely will.

This older property was remodeled in a modest updated manner. Room was classic 1970's with new furnishings and bedding. Situated along a main highway you could hear road truck traffic and people outside you room walking and talking. Shower was hot and dining was close by. Next time we will be looking for a little better place to stay.

I stayed here due to a recommendation from another friend that travelled here for business as well. I typically stay at one particular hotel brand due to being am awards member etc etc. Since my brand was only as close as Gainesville I stayed here. When I arrived (late) at approximately 12:30am the two ladies in charge met me with a very sincere and welcoming "hi! so glad you made it safely Mr.Smith". Over the 3 days there, every staff member that I met was extremely friendly and professional. The room was recently updated and very very nice. Clean carpet, appliances, bathroom, bed linens. Everything was nice and I felt so comfortable here. No weird midnight allergies from dirty linens etc. The parking lot felt safe and there was zero noise in the rooms or from outside. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there next trip through.

My boyfriend works for Glover Construction and I come from time to time. I recently had to use this hotel's assistance for my stay in Wilmington NC. Dixie is so amazing. She's a great front desk person!!! This establishment is ran by amazing people. Mr. Sam amd Rocky are wonderful people. Very nice accommodations as well. Melody is also a good at her job too. Air conditioners need to be replaced. Had to move to 2 different rooms; staff needs retraining on customer service. Not pleased at all and definitely not for the rate of the room. Starke needs a newer hotel, preferably a Hilton or Marriott.

We stayed one night in early May on a road trip, the 3rd time we've stayed here. As in the past, we found it clean, comfortable, convenient, totally satisfactory. It's easy to find on the main road through town, but our room toward the back was very quiet. Ask for a room away from the road. The hot breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, make-your own waffles, yogurt, fruit, served in a bright and cheerful breakfast room off the lobby.

Completely remodeled rooms! Pleasant staff! Small Pet Friendly! We always enjoy our stay here on our way back to Pennsylvania from our condo in Naples Florida! Plus there are plenty of choices for lunch or dinner in this area!

Nice hotel in a little town outside of Jacksonville. I chose to stay there for an event I had instead of staying in the city. Good selection for breakfast and all the hotel amenities were up to satisfaction. It seemed a bit pricey, as I've stayed at better best westerns and had it cheaper but it was still a nice stay.

This is a decent hotel. It was older but nicely updated. The room was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. The only small problem was there was only decaf coffee in the room. Breakfast was good but the area was small.

I stayed at the Best Western in Starke Florida on Feb. 14. The girl at the counter was so nice. I was traveling with another person, we had different rooms. The girl at the counter did her best to get her close to my room. She went out of her way to help. The room was clean but noisy with a lot of construction workers staying at the Best Western.

Hotel on major highway that runs through town so expected some traffic nose. Also got noise of a truck being repaired in the parking lot until almost midnight. Noise from the train that goes through the town night and day. Positives were that it is cleaner then others I have stayed in here. Breakfast was a plus. Front desk was hit and miss, one friendly and helpful and one not even polite. Manager seemed always available and polite.

Stayed here on our way down to Florida. It is an OK motel, older with some renovations. The bed was little too soft but fine, free WiFi is excellent, TV is not HD (or at least looked fuzzy in our room), and furniture looked fairly old and was scratched. Room and general areas were very clean, and free breakfast was good and offers the standard fare. There is not a ton of choice on the area and this is definitely fine for an overnight or two. Staff was very friendly.

I was driving a car south for my elderly folks and drove from the midwest until I was tired the first day. That was north of Starke. But everyone else apparently had the same idea but got tired sooner as in no room at the inn. So I kept heading south and saw a Best Western in Starke. I swallowed hard and headed in--what a nice surprise. They had 1 smoking room left which I gladly took. The rooms, or at least this one, have been recently updated. And other than the smoking smell, which I knew about, it was a winner. The carpets, furniture and other appointments were all on par with a Hampton Inn. The shower was very nice. Three items of particular note; the soap had oatmeal in it and I love that texture! Nice move BW. Secondly the towels were nice and relatively thick and I believe there were 4 of them. Second nice touch. And lastly regarding the shower, as many places do, this one had the bowed out shower curtain rod. But a lot of times those things get loose and wobbly. I've only stayed at one other place that took the time to have a higher end hardware that doesn't get loose as easily. So three nice touches! They had a "complimentary" breakfast but I had a golf game awaiting me in about 5 hours so I skipped it! Check it out if you're passing through. And fun fact--if you read Elmore Leonard novels it seems like there's always a character or two from the Starke prison which is just down the road.

Hotel staff was very pleasant, informative and helpful. Rooms were clean ad comfortable. Cleaner than a lot of hotels. Pet Friendly. The staff at Quincy Best Western seem to take pride in their hotel. I will stay in Quincy Best Western again.

The hotel staff are always cheery and inviting. This is by far the nicest hotel in Starke. My room was perfect. I work nights, so the housekeeping crew went out of their way to clean my room while I was at work. Amazing customer service.

Booked Hotel the night before our trip. Kids throwing up all night on xmas. No sympathy when tried to cancel night before our stay since it was after 4pm. Charged full price! Note that we booked hotel after 4 and tried to cancel ~5hrs after booking.

Nice hotel with new lobby decor and filling breakfast each morning. If you are a smoker this is your kind of hotel, if not I would make sure you get a non-smoking room far away from the smoking rooms.

If you're in the road and need to stop for a night this is the place. The rooms are simple but clean and the bed was very comfortable. They offer the full Best Western breakfast as their other hotels. The girl at the desk last night, I want to say her name is Kassie, was very friendly, professional and efficient. The neighborhood is not a place to roam around but I felt totally safe.

Nice place to stay, staff was very friendly. Close to eating places. Nice breakfast, hot & fresh! Very well stocked. Room was very nice and quiet. Everything worked very well. We only stayed one night, but would stay there again.

Interior has recently been renovated, so everything was clean and in great working order. Staff was extremely nice and welcoming. A short drive to Gainesville, I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is passing through or wants a cheap place to stay within an hour from Gainsville.

We were in town for a wedding and stayed for one night. Check in was easy and clerk very nice. Room was large and recently remodeled. It was very clean, bed was comfortable as well as the pillows. Breakfast was small but good and well stocked. Check out was a breeze! Would stay again and will be looking into staying at Best Westerns all over when we travel. I was very impressed!

Nice hotel - great free breakfast. Easy on and off of Rt. 301 on our way to South Florida. Shower was handicap accessible which worked out great for husband who has balance issues. Internet worked great.

We had a nice stay here.room was clean everything was great the property was clean and secure was close to Middleburg where we were visiting. The staff was friendly and helpful I would stay here again.

I was teaching at Camp Blanding. This hotel is the best in Starke, Florida. The staff is so friendly and always attentive to your needs. The room was clean, comfortable and set up just right for business travel.

Ello chaps! Not many options in the City of Starke but Best Western is pretty much your best - and only option. Service at check in is good, although the overall cleanliness and feel of the property seems to be that of a typical Best Western. Not the cleanest of places, but not sketchy dirty either. For the rate and options around it's decent.

OMG. Mr. Sam and his awesome, he and his staff took such great care of all of us staying here. Mr. Sam continually walked around the facility during this time and made sure everyone was fine. We did loose power because Florida Power shut everything off at midnight in the entire area., (Teri the desk clerk told us this would happen prior to check -in. super sweet girl) Mr. Sams staff was down by 4 people due to the storm and he and two staff worked unbelievably efficient to prep the rooms and get us in quickly. He released his remaining staff and took care of the facility himself so they could go home to their families.It was fun watching all the cars attempting to go through the flooding on 301. Made the day after almost seem enjoyable. We were there from 9/9/17 thru 9/12/2017. We are going to make it a point to go back every 9-11 to relax, enjoy the great facility, and say hey to Mr. Sam and his staff.. all we can say is WOW !!!!!

Great staff work at this hotel. They are efficient and willing to provide exceptional service. The hotel is clean. The breakfast is delicious. My grandson enjoys making his own waffles. Good hotel/good value

If you need a place to do a stop over, this hotel is the place to be. The complimentary breakfast is very good, the rooms are clean and the area is quiet, shopping and dinner plans are not that far. Don't forget the swimming pool and gazebo area for relaxation.

Enjoyed my stay. On business trip, Very comfortable and spacious room. Staff friendly and accommodating. Variety of restaurants in the area, supermarket, drug stores all on main road. Impossible to get lost in this town.

There was a very kind person, who checked us in and gave us a retired police officer's discount. She also thanked my husband for his service. She was very helpful and cheerful. I definitely recommend this place. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom really clean. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.

We stayed at the Best Western Starke for 2 nights on Aug 4th and 5th, didn't know what to expect having passed by it for years, but with the recent renovations we were pleasantly surprised, The office is beautiful, we checked in Friday night and the computers were down, Terri behind the counter was as polite and nice as could be given the situation, she made sure we were in our room right away and we could deal with the paperwork at another time, which after a long trip room was great, the room was nicely decorated and clean, the A/C was nice and cold for the FLA heat! The pool was another highlight, very nice heated pool. In the morning the breakfast was great, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, and toast, hit the spot! We will stay here again.

Everything was a great value. Rooms clean, property clean, pool great shape, breakfast area clean and maintained. My only complaint was the internet/WiFi. It sucked. Very slow and was non-operational at times.

The Best Western was a pleasant surprise located in a small town. The hotel was clean, the bed comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. When my sister and I return to the area we will stay here.

Best Western is the only hotel we stay at whenever we travel and we highly recommend it to everybody. Friends and family are always very gracious in telling us about "cheaper" places to stay and we very graciously listen to their recommendations and very graciously decline and tell them that the only place we stay at when away from home is a Best Western Hotel. Room was clean and tidy, staff was friendly, cleaning crew very honest. my son left his very expensive gaming headphones in the room , and I was totally blown away by the hotel calling to say we had left them there.

We enjoyed out stay at the Best Western in Starke Florida on our way to Orlando for a anniversary/vacation. Staff was very helpful and the beds were gave us a great nights sleep. We would recommend this location to others that are passing through.

Very nice and updated to the latest. Handy and right on 301. Nicely decorated and attractive. The staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. Would stay here in a heartbeat. Often times staying in a small town doesn't give us a very favorable experience. This one did. We would recommend it to anyone making that trip up 301.

Always know will have a restful stay when we go to Starke Fl. My son and I go every 3 months to visit relatives and are not fans of sleeping away from home. But here we are always made to feel at home.

The hotel is in the process of being refurbished all of the rooms and the lobby look great the only thing that we noticed that hadn't been finished was the outside of the doors on the guest rooms we would stay here again our only complaint although it did not affect us personally was the breakfast was advertised as being served from 6 until 9 the hot food items were removed at 8:45

The room was clean, very good breakfast choices. My only two complaints are the very hard bed and a train nearby was constantly blowing it's horn, 3am, 4am, and its lasts a minute or more.Otherwise nice place.

This property was nicely upgraded this year! Plus they are Pet Friendly! The rooms are clean and comfortable! We stayed on the ground floor which is a plus as we are over 60, lol. The ice cream stand next door is always a treat! Our breakfast served in the lobby was good. The Owner of this property is on-site making sure his guests are happy!

Best choice in Starke, but that's not saying much. Did not care for the bedding. Room clean and supposedly updated, but didn't seem like it. Mattress was not comfortable and bedding seemed old. Not sure if blankets washed after each use. Staff nice at check in.

Nice place to stay but expensive for business. Same motel we have stayed at for many years but with a substantially higher price than before. Sadly we are forced to find a more affordable motel, even if it means a much longer commute.

The pool was under construction call ahead to see if it's fixed. The staff is awesome!!! Breakfast was delicious fresh fruit yogurt bagels eggs cereal pateries waffles etc. my smoking room did NOT smell like an ashtray it was clean and fresh smelling

This was our 2nd visit to Best Western in Starke, Florida. Conveniently located, great breakfast bar.. you can even make your own waffles. They have a very friendly staff, clean rooms. I highly recommend Best Western in Starke,Fla.

The rooms were exceptionally well cared for and the beds were nice. It was a good experience. The breakfast area and selection was excellent. The staff was very nice and helpful, they were knowledgeable concerning events and restaurants.

It has been a couple of years since we have been to the Best Western in Starke, FL, it has been renovated and a good place to stay in Starke. Breakfast was good and plentiful (I always make the waffles - guarantees good hot food). Terri was still on the front desk and really works hard at making sure everything is good. Also the fact that it is within walking distance of an old style drive in (with ice cream cones) is a definite plus. Will stay there again on our next trip to Starke.

This is a great motel and the breakfast has been greatly ungraded. Terri was the employee working Sunday night when we checked in and she was a great help with the internet.We will stay here again. We really enjoyed the breakfast before we got on the road the next morning.

your hotel didn't give me the first floor room I asked for when I booked the room, then had problems with the TV service which they did not mention when I checked in! Could not get CBS channel, front desk was not concerned .

We couldn't find a room in Gainesville for Gatornationals and ended up 30 minutes away from track in Starke. We were very pleased with the hotel. The outside area with huge grill was a big plus. We grilled steaks the first night we were there and sat at the big picnic table under the gazebo. It was a very nice evening with the family. Breakfast was ok...food was cold.

I had low expectations for this hotel due to the location, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive. The Wi-Fi was fast. Couldn't ask for more. What little noise happened outside was brief and did not interrupt my comfort for long.

We stayed in Starke Florida because it is a short drive to The University of Florida. Staying at The Best Western in Starke is perfect for going to a game at UF as it is alot cheaper than staying in Gainesville. The Best Western in Starke Florida has been recently remodeled and looks great! The breakfast area has been enlarged... the free breakfast tastes good too! Room was very clean, smelled so nice. There is an outdoor pool. There are nice places to eat in Starke as well, I recommend The Dairy Freeze next door to the Best Western, The Downtown Grill and Cedar River Seafood.

We stayed here two nights. (In the area for a wedding). The room, as well as the entire building, was recently updated. Very clean and quiet. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Housekeeping was attentive. Grounds were well kept. Breakfast was "basic" but it had plenty. Pool was closed for the season, but the outdoor amenities were a nice plus. (patio, gazebo, fire pit, etc). Driving around the area, this was the nicest place we saw! We made an excellent choice!

Driving from North Carolina to SW Florida, we thought we'd overnight in Jacksonville, but several hotels we tried were fully booked, so we continued on to Starke. So glad we did! The Best Western was less expensive, easy to find and an excellent place to stay. It is freshly renovated, clean and attractive. The front desk staff gave us a useful map showing local restaurants, along with suggestions for dinner. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. In the morning when we heard that car accidents in Jacksonville had backed up traffic, we were thankful that stretch was behind us. We had an early breakfast at the hotel (lots to choose from) and were on our way.

Just awful. Called ahead for a room. Then told the room was gone. I was just 15 minutes away. Only smoking rooms available. The one I took the lock was broken. Ended up in a stinking second floor room. No help from the desk. I was exhausted or would have left

Driving from Ohio to Clearwater, Fl. Made it to Starke. Happy with our choice. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. And our kitty appreciated the privacy. They are going through some updates which should make it even better.

Just as the title says, we love this place. Fried chicken and chops are great. Veggies are cooked like they were made country style, they normally have a different variety including cabbage, lima's corn, Green beans, okra & tomato of course mashed potatoes, rice not grace, then the salad bar. You also have the option to order from the menu. Steer burgers are very good as well. Wait staff are always polite and helpful and take care of you. Be sure to get some rolls. Weekends are seafood nights.

The staff was friendly and courteous. Room was clean and pet friendly. It was located close to many restaurants and gas stations. I would recommend to a friend and we would stay there in the future., We were very pleased with our experience there.

Wow this hotel is so nice! Everything is so well taken cared off! Staff was very accommodating, room was super clean, beds were comfortable. I loved that the TV remote was sanitized! Everything was in great condition and it felt the room had barely been stayed in before - I usually don't get that feeling when staying in a hotel! Our sons enjoying taking a dip in the pool as well. We only stayed for 1 night as my husband was doing a triathlon at Camp Blanding, but we were very impressed from check-in to check-out. If we ever come to Starke again, we will be sure to stay here again - no doubt.

The hotel was very clean. My only complaint is the bed was hard and the linen was kind rough feeling. But other than that the hotel was a nice stay for the price. It was a quick check in and very convenient. We was in town for to enroll my daughter at UF. And the hotels was either booked or over priced. So we was happy to come across the Best Western

Needed a place to stay overnight heading to FMB with our dog fur baby. Glad we found Best Western Starke on Trip Advisor identified as pet friendly. What a hidden gem along Route 301. Guest rooms are exceptionally clean, well appointed, nice pool and courteous guest services. The hotel is in the midst of a lobby renovation so didn't take advantage of the complimentary breakfast. Centrally located to many fast food establishments and other store conveniences. Major recommendation - watch your speed when driving along 301. Saw many cars pulled over!

It is by far the only place to consider staying while in Starke, FL. It is convenient to the one side of the city and the most Hospitable staff you will encounter anywhere. The pool is very nice and you can enjoy some sunshine all day long. The shade will not block the sun unless you want to sit under the umbrella, or building hangover.

Traveling to Florida with family and stopped for the night. Recently renovated, so the room is up to date. Got up in the morning to eat breakfast at the hotel, came back, got out bags and left. As a business owner of a cleaning service for luxury cabins and commercial buildings , I know what is preformed by maid services. Before we even got in the car the maid was already in the room taking the towels.. Not too professional. Location is so-so. Dairy Freeze is in walking distance from the hotel and has good food, it reminds me of "Tasty Freeze" from the show Friday Night Lights. Behind the hotel is a Parol and Probation office which turned us off. That night between 2-4 there were also multiple people conversing loudly outside our room. I realized I didn't have my ring and left it on the sink counter. I checked everything multiple times and called the hotel before returning to to retrieve it. The ring was "no where to be found." When approaching the receptionist and cleaners they were not to my help.. If theft is going to happen, the person needs to at least hide their not telling the truth .. Written all over their face.

The staff at this property are awesome! Everyone was friendly and they went out of their way to make sure all needs were met. The staff even created a map of the area with all restaurants, points of interest, labelled. That is a caring staff! And their recommendations were right on! They also acknowledged me as a reward member, something most BW agents don't do!!

We had a business meeting at Camp Blanding and in trying to find a room, the Best Western came up to my surprise given the rural nature of the community. When we got to the hotel we could not have been more surprised. It was well cared for, updated and very comfortable and ideally located for our work at Camp Blanding. It is a must stay place for folks like us who do business our in that area

Friendly staff. First floor room, nice size room, refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker. Bed and linens gd. Wfi good. Nice covered sitting area with swing. Brkfst the usual, no hot food except waffles.

My family and I stayed overnight while attending a baby shower in the area. The rooms were clean, the staff very responsive, and the pool was well maintained. My only recommendation would be to extend breakfast on the weekends -- it ends promptly at 9 a.m. which is pretty early for families with children who like to sleep in on the weekends.

Everything was ok except for the noise level outside of rooms. People tended to have large social gatherings outside their rooms. This happened next to my room a 3 nights out the 5 nights that I was there

There are not a lot of choices in the middle of Florida on 301 and to find a Best Western was very fortunate. This was a very nice one and except for the continental breakfast which we didn't partake of it really could be a Best Western Plus.

My son had meeting at UF for admissions and we stayed it this hotel. It was clean and well maintained. Only downside was road noise was noticeable. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. All in all it was a pleasant stay. Will stay there in future.

Clean Hotel, very friendly, great service. Staying and entire week only room available was a smoking room and it was super clean and does not smell of smoke like most rooms do. House keeping is awesome they check with us daily to see if we need anything. Very pleased and happy. Will be staying here again in July.

Stopped and stayed here on my way to Treasure Island. It was late at night and I had no idea where I was. Went to another hotel before this one and they were talking in the lobby that they had no fights that night so I left. Hotel was fine, rooms were clean and staff was very helpful. Only thing is I would never stay in Starke again.

The Best Western Starke is very clean. It looks like they have painted the outside recently. The room is a very nice size. I have a handicapped accessible room, They have two HA rooms. One has a walk in shower the other does not. Sadly I did not have one. The girls in the office were fantastic. They were very accommodating.They have an outdoor pool, and there is a ramp to it, but the gate is not wide enough for a power wheelchair. So I could not go there. I would recommend this motel to anyone that finds themselves in this area.

We got to the hotel very late (around 12am) but our rooms were ready for us when we got there! It took us less than 10 minutes to have our keys and enter the room. The bed was high quality and everything was working perfectly. They have traditional breakfast included and everything was fresh. I had a couple of bagels, cereals, and yogurt! Very good service overall

I enjoy staying here , but was very upset when I was told I did not have any reservations. I have never had a problem before, Res# 54623. I told the clerk My party would come in later in evening and was told no problem, was I surprised when I was told I didn't have any rooms

Clean room and nice people. We had some packages sent to the Best Western and the front desk people took them To the room for us. Breakfast room was very small. I will stay at this Best Western next year.

On our way to Jacksonville for a cruise we happened upon the Best Western Starke. We found the rates reasonable, the staff VERY professional, and the beds really comfortable. We will definitely stay again. (The pool area is absolutely beautiful but the weather did not cooperate that day.)

If you are ever visiting Stark, Florida, please make The Best Western on the 301 your place to stay. The rooms are very clean, the beds are very comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast buffet was ok, it would be better if they offered some type of bacon or sausage to go with the waffles.

Seems they did some renovations. Much better. The room was very nice. The only complaint I have is the pool was really small. Great staff. Breakfast wasn't bad. I've stayed here a few times but this last time I have to say was the best room I've ever gotten.

From Check-in to Check-out, this is the best choice for overnight stays in Starke. Rooms are well appointed, clean and comfy. Bathrooms are clean, in good repair and roomy enough. You get all of this at a reasonable price. It doesn't get any better.

check in was smooth and the room and bedding was clean. That is all I needed as I passed through Starke. I have made this trip several times and the Best Western is the best hotel / lodging offering in Starke, FL. Breakfast was nice, the staff friendly and di ask if I needed anything. Again, a clean room in an older hotel is fine, I was not looking for anything more than that & wifi, which they did have and it worked good. I will stay there again when I make this trip.

We spent the night here on a family trip and we were pleased to find a clean and friendly hotel. Terri (spelling?) was very friendly greeting us and signing us in for the night. She let us know if we needed anything just to call the front desk and she would take care of it. It's nice to experience great customer service and friendly staff. The hotel looks newly renovated and the rooms were neat and clean. Good job! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Went to a wedding in this area. Most everything was either booked or $150 per in Gainesville. Rate was a little high for this type of hotel in this type of town, maybe because Florida Gators were playing home on this weekend. Cleanest hotel in this town. Not much around except for Grannies about 1 mile or 2 away for a good home cooking type breakfast. Friendly staff. Very quiet during our stay. Very good for one night.

Recently renovated....very well appointed rooms...very eye appealing duvets and pillows on the beds. Furniture modern and new. It was obvious that the housekeeping staff took pride in their jobs.....everything was clean...lots of fluffy towels. The staff was incredible....very friendly, welcoming, and helpful with answering questions. The person at the front desk and one of the housekeeping staff (who happened to be at the desk when we checked in) were both great representatives for Best Western Starke. We would absolutely stay there again, if in that area. Great accommodations for the price.

I am very pleased with my stay, and Terry took great care of us. Lots of choices for the continental breakfast; bagels, coffee, muffins, juices, oatmeal, fruit, and waffles (I am missing a lot of other things). I loved the breakfast. The pool was clean, the room was clean with good air conditioning, the TV had good stations and we had a parking spot right in front of our door. A++++

We booked this hotel to go to a gators game, didn't know the area or hotel so a tad apprehensive since it was two females. The receptionist at check was lovely and the next morning the lady who was on the front desk went out of her way to help, I was very happy Clean room , not bad breakfast although the breakfast area could be a bit larger, overall a great experience.

Ended up in Starke by accident and was very surprised by this Best western. It was clean and comfortable and the rooms seemed almost brand new. Friendly staff--and a great little road-food joint nextdoor.

This hotel is almost the only in town. It could be excellent with a better breakfast and better rate. The location is good, right on the highway but within walking distance of only one family-type Mexican restaurant. The others were all within a short drive for which the hotel supplies a very good map and information. It is a two-story property without an elevator, so if you do not get a ground-floor room, be prepared to schlep your stuff up the stairs.

I was down there seeing family, and trying to get some business at a funeral home done. So I ended up staying 4 days. Room was lovely. On day one I got a knock saying check out was at 11. The staff was unawares I was staying more than one night. No big deal really. Day three I accidentally knocked the remote behind the mattress, and upon my attempt to retrieve it I discovered a baby diaper..... I didn't examine it too close. I threw it in the trash, and went about my day. Departure day I had noticed at that point ants had made my truck a home. Never saw one in the room. But my truck right outside the door(by the way great parking) was free game apparently. Synopsis. The room was great. The best time I had in Florida was in that room. Not Jacksonville. Certainly not Orlando. But it was apparently secretly kind of gross. Wouldn't say dirty. But gross sure. Diapers are gross. Ants in my vehicle. I mean a lot too. Like 30 that I could see. Slight worry entered my mind that they would actually jam the engine with their bodies somehow. This is all expected, and acceptable if paying 50$, even 60$ a night for your hotel. Mostly I'm peeved I payed about 100$ a day. I spent almost as much as I do on rent while here. Though I suspect that's because I booked on a Friday. I'm still learning about hotels. I've learned that one's that have the entrance to the room on the inside of the building are preferable. Not every hotel of the same name is of the same quality. If possible? Forking over the extra cash is worth it. If you enjoy R&R.

I found this hotel in the 'middle of nowhere', on US-301 road in center of Florida. Clean and nice building, very nice and helpful staff. breakfast area was small, but beside it everything else above average.

This hotel has plenty parking for a boat trailer. The staff is very courteous and helpful. It was so helpful to stay at a hotel that accept dogs and have grassy areas around the hotel to walk your dog since the hotel is on route 301 but our room was quiet.

This is by far the best hotel in this area. It also has great pricing and is a wonderful value if you are in the Gainesville area. Very clean rooms, this is a signature for them. You know a hotel is clean when the stairwells are neat and clean. Good morning breakfast. My only recommendation to them and all other hotels, if you are pet friendly, save some rooms pet free for those of us with allergies or not interested in staying where animals have been on the furniture. I did not see any signs of pets, but would prefer a pet free room due to allergies.

Our church uses The Best Western Starke, FL frequently when doing outreaches and volunteering in and near Starke, FL. The rates are great and the staff are always extremely accommodating. Never had a complaint in all the years we've been using the hotel.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past during our travels to FLA. I was very disappointed with my most recent stay(10/2/15) Check-in was much more timely than is necessary. Door key did not work so we had to change rooms. Maid had not prepared the room for new guests. A/C cover rattled often when the A/C came on. Beds were comfortable and general area around our room was quiet. Breakfast was minimum.

Excellent experience. I recommend anyone traveling to that area stay at Best Western. Clean room, everything worked, no bad odors, no noise after dark, and very good continental breakfast. I had a wonderful experience. James Buchannon

My guess is this is the best place to stay in Starke. The first night my wife did say the trains bothered her a little. Also, we were locked out of the room after the first night. That was fixed easily. The breakfast was the usual, but they did have more bananas than any Best Western we have visited. I have one minor complaint. At check in and check out the clerk was on the phone for a bit longer than I thought necessary before we were acknowledged.

The staff at the Stark Best Western were extremely accommodating and the room was clean and recently updated. I would definitely stay again as the price was very reasonable, especially for a holiday weekend.

In the past i have stayed at many best westerns and this one by far is the best i have ever stayed in. The rooms are very clean and very up to date/modern.. All the ladies that work the front desk are very nice and pleasant to deal with...Mr sam is very friendly to talk to and accomodate you with anything you need.. Definitely will come back to this hotel when needed.
