Best Western Plus Sawridge Suites

I appreciate having a hotel to come too when my days are full and sometimes chaotic. The Best Western Sawridge Suites is one of those hotels. With staff that treat you well, the food is great and the rooms are comfortable and provide a great nights rest.

I have always stayed here when I travel to Fort McMurray for work. Everything is always clean and never disappoints. Everything you need onsite, the restaurant is always good and consistent. The package lunches are very convenient.

From the minute I walked into the lobby, I was greeted with friedly staff. Everything about my stay was wonderful, from the check in, to the room, to the bagged lunch. The breakfast was exceptional. The lounge was inviting. I will definitely be staying here again.

Staff here are always friendly and do what they can to assure great stay. The rooms were exceptionally clean and in great state. Felt brand new. Meals were always very good. all amenities were there. Will only stay there up return

Boiling water flowed from the cold and hot water taps. I couldn't shower properly. They changed my number, but they had the same problem. I spoke to my neighbors at the hotel (my colleagues) and they had the same experience. Restaurant was closed

You will not regret visiting this hotel. You will get more value for your money. I enjoyed every bit of my stay in this hotel. The staff are very courteous, food is great and the fitness center has everything you need to be fit. I am glad that the management is taken time to make guests happy in the hotel.

Great hotel, I super happy with the room the check in the cleanliness of the property. The restaurant has great food and great service. Rooms are large and well equipped. I for sure will book into this hotel the next time I'm staying in Fort McMurray.

Spent 2 weeks for work and as a world traveler i can say the hotel is amazing, from cleaning staf, rexception and bar/restaurant amazing personel. As a world traveler i realy had a great time staying there and looking forward to stay there again.

The hotel room was beautifully laid out and furnished. The kitchen part was efficient and modern. The included breakfast was great with a variety of hot and cold options. Staff is friendly and helpful.

We were very impressed by this hotel. We have stayed in a few Best Westerns and this one seemed particularly well run with excellent amenities. Our room was large, with a great kitchen and big bathroom. The breakfast was a bit above the usual and dinner at the restaurant was very good. The whole place was clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

I pick the Best Western Plus Sawridge for its attention to detail and quality of staff and food! Location is nice as it's not downtown and parking isn't an issue! I've never not had a great stay or sleep at any of my stays now or in the past!

I came to this hotel a few times, every time, it looks like new, clean and the staff are all nice willing to help, my friend was drunk one time, her girlfriend couldn't get hold of him, and contacted front desk, the staff came to check on him in the mid-night, thanks!

I had a quick one night stay at this hotel and it was great. The front desk attendant was warm and friendly. The service in the lounge was great as well. The hotel room was spotless and I had an amazing sleep.

A hotel with guest comfort as it's focus, the staff is super helpful. Very clean and nice amenities and great breakfast especially the omelette. This is my choice hotel to stay in FMM , keep doing the good work in maintaining your standard of service and guest care.

Friendly service and very comfortable for business travel. Suites have laundry and the market area at front desk is a convenience for snacks or sundries on the go. Breakfast was warm, fresh and quick. Overall welcoming atmosphere with everything needed to be comfortable as a business traveller or family. Ample parking and super clean. Will stay again.

Clean rooms, Excellent breakfast service. Location is very good if one has business north of the city. What I liked best is that it is at a location that avoids most of the traffic through the city. What I liked least is that there are few other restaurants close by. Limits choice of where to eat

Excellent hotel with all the amenities. STAFF is top notch. Breakfast to go when you can't make it to the buffet is a plus. To go lunches when your working at the refineries was a excellent option, especially when you leave at 6:00 a.m.

Rooms are large and comfortable. Loved the touch of the bath robe. The soap smelled divine and was so moisturising. The choice for breakfast was incredible, way better then your regular continental breakfast. Will stay again.

This hotel is really nice but has no pool. The gym is good, the rooms always clean and nice. Never had an issue ever, love underground parking makes the cold winter mornings good. Hotel is in a work coty so pretty quiet stay

This hotel and staff is the epitome of friendly! The staff took the time to learn my name and my preferences in the hotel and at the restaurant. It is a very nice way to spend time away from home!! They say hello in the hallways and are super courteous at the front desk! Give them a try!

The only negatives I have are that I didn't have an option for a bath tub in the room (shower only) and the hotel doesn't have a pool (Mac Island was also closed while we were in town). Otherwise, everything was amazing. I had two kids with me and the staff were so great with them and in general. The food was amazing as well. Definitely a great hotel!

The staff were so polite and helpful from holding doors open for you to welcoming smiles and sincere good morning greetings. Breakfast was filling and tasty with a chef to make omelettes and a variety of choices. The bed was a bit firm for our liking but everything else was top notch.

Our room was more than expected, very spacious, clean and super comfy bed. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way for us. We ordered room service and the food was delicious, hot and delivered very quickly. Late check out was available which was wonderful to really enjoy our stay. I highly recommend this hotel, and will be back again

Staff at this hotel were clearly invested in the hotel and in the people who stay there. They responded to requests, and thought ahead. They were also careful about COVID protocols and cleanliness. The room itself was very comfortable, the kitchen had everything you might need (from wine glasses to a cutting board), and everything was clean and fresh.

Very courteous staff, friendly and willing to go that extra mile to make the stay very enjoyable. Staff check in and offer assistance when required. Underground parking was great as always, breakfast is probably the best complementary meal in Alberta.

This is a newer hotel in Fort McMurray area and in a industrial area so lots truckers and contractors. I really have complain about the room and restaurant and fitness center. The only issue i had was when checking out I was charged an extra day due to early checkout. Nobody told me at the time of checking in that if checking early I need to provide 24-hr advanced notice. Called front desk to discuss reversal of charge but they declined citing hotel policy. Seemed like a money grab in pandemic situation. Be aware!

I have been staying at that hotel for around 6 weeks for a temporary job. Last time I checked out and forgot work clothes in drawers. As soon as I noticed the day after, I contacted them. I got a phone call back saying that they didn't see anything. I told them my clothes just didn't disappeared and to check again. They never contacted me again so I sent a message again. They keep talking about a different room that I previously stayed in and I had to repeat myself numerous times but they still refused to check into it. I asked to talk to the manager and they passed me to some house keeping attendants. I asked repeatedly to talk to the manager but they refused. I then got the manager number online and told him the situation. He said he would call me right back but he never did. To add to this I got sick and couldn't go back to work at the end of my days off and they charged me the night and never sent me a remember I was check in that day. So I lost over a thousand of dollars between my work clothes, double front work jeans, thermal underwear, hoodies, fr work jerseys, etc, and the room charged that I never had. The bottom line is my clothes just didn't disappear. It was obviously taken. Now everyday I will be going to work I will be worry to see if anything in my stuff left in my room will go missing.

I was recently at Sawridge Suites with a business colleague, the hotel/property and service was excellent and I would certainly stay there again in the future. The lobby and lounge area was very nice as was the breakfast experience. It was somewhat removed from the restaurant area of the city which would have been nice but all in all it was a great experience.

The best of the best! From the minute you check in to the last minute of check out you feel like you are taken care of. Every year we use this hotel for our accommodation for work and every time it exceeds our expectations. There are always few people at the front desk so the check in/checkout is quick and efficient. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, nice warm duvet blankets, multiple pillows to choose from and their own thermostat to adjust the room temperature. Free hot buffet breakfast is to die for, offering coffee, eggs your style, delicious sausage, potato wedges, different vegetables and other multiple items, cereals. If you want a breakfast to go, no problem, talk to front desk. There is sauna, gym and other amenities for use. Free Wi-Fi. The staff is very professional, great customer skills and willing to help in any situation. Great team! This hotel is modern, beautiful and very pleasant to your eye. Enjoy your next stay at this international level Best Western!

Free parking with no hassles - a spot right outside the lobby each time. Check in and check out were easy. The hotel texted me before to clarify how many rooms I had booked to make sure it wasn't an error. They texted again after I left about an item that I forgot in the room. The clerk answered the phone on the first ring. The breakfast was truly delicious. I had large helpings of an omlette, cold slices of roast beef and tomato slices. COVID not a issue as the buffet is served by a staff member. Hard boiled eggs were prepacked and ready to go as was fruit. The breakfast was a huge time-saver for me on the trip and allowed me to get through the day without having to stop for lunch. The bed had 6 pillows which I've not seen in more expensive hotels. The doors for slam loudly. The construction is newer. Extremely well-run hotel. The Best Western brand is misleading as it caused me to imagine a budget hotel. This is the opposite of that and much better run than many 4 and 4.5 star hotels.

Traveled during Covid time. Found all staff masked and Covid aware the entire time. Friendly, helpful, made things as simple as possible. Even though the restaurant was not open they provided take-out meals . Buffet breakfast included individual service and appropriate spacing of tables. Made me feel very re-assured. Lots of outdoor and underground parking. Will definitely stay here again

My company booked a room for one night which was a direct bill to company . Upon check in I was told I would need to pay additional $75 for what they call essential service and need a credit card to pay . Money grab

Hotel was exceptionally clean. Room was big and bed was very comfy. Again exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. Quiet at night. Standard was above its three star rating. Food was average. Three star. But service in the restaurant was outstanding.

It had been a while but upon return, things have gotten better. The staff is genuinely happy and helpful. The front desk is bright and cheery and the bar and restaurant staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast is very good and tasty. Overall the staff has gotten better and I recommend this hotel and restaurant

We've always stayed at this hotel every time we're in the area. It's clean, we enjoy the breakfast buffet and we can always bring our pets! Definitely always recommend this hotel. The location is the only complaint I have, it's in a more industrial area.

Great Hotel, well managed, excellent staff, good food and very clean. Staff were friendly, accommodating and made you feel at home. Very comfortable beds and kitchenette was helpful for our extended stay.

I stayed over 100 nights at this location and could not be more impressed with the staff's friendliness and hospitality. The restaurant specials are great, rooms are large and cleanly, and my overall stay could not have been better! The location was great for where I needed to be, but far away town amenities. It was far enough away that theft/crime was not a concern at all.

Everytime we have stayed here, the hotel has been clean, the service has been fantastic, and they are always going above and beyond! Our recent stay for Valentine's day was perfect! Thanks to Kelly who helped me arrange a nice surprise in our room, and even went out of her way to find me fake rose petals for the room, candy, and chocolate covered strawberries! I highly recommend the BW to anyone looking for a nice and relaxing stay!

The Best Western Plus in Fort McMurray is by far the best place to stay while in town. The welcoming and friendly staff, hotel cleanliness and comfort are on point! The location is a bit isolated which I love and the focus on details is impressive.

I came to work a month and a half and end up staying 5 months. The hotel was most accommodating in each time I had to extend my stay and work very hard, so I didn't have to change rooms. I had one of their kitchenets and it was nicely set up for two people. It could have used a toaster in the room, but I brought my own. I had a few issues with cleanliness of the room around Christmas but I noted that they were training new staff and once I mention to the front desk it was taken care of and it never occurred again. Great place to stay.

By far the cleanest hotel that I have stayed in. They take COVID very seriously, everything is periodically wiped down and the rooms are spotless. Best staff, I am called by name and always feel welcomed

I'm am always impressed when I stay at this hotel. You felt safe as soon as you entered the building, the rooms are always spotless and the staff is helpful and friendly. A great buffet breakfast that is served for you along with a cook to order option. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Fort McMurray.

If you don't provide quality toilet paper you won't get 5 stars from me Sadly very few mid range “luxury” hotels do. It's the first thing I check. If a hole in the wall dive place gives me cottenelle it's getting an extra star for understanding how important the toilet paper is. It's not a place to try and cost save!

Had a very good stay at this hotel while visiting family. Although it may have seemed safer to stay at a private home during Covid times, this hotel was going above and beyond to endure safety guidelines were met. Some patrons were not so careful but staff usually reminded them to mask or distance. Our room was large and comfortable with updated kitchenette and washroom facilities. Lovely walk-in shower was a nice surprise but better water pressure would have been nice. Breakfast buffet was very good with staff safely preparing your breakfast to request. Checkin and checkout very easy; the 4:00 checkin was a bit late for us and they accommodated a morning checkin without any problem. A plus side is the location in the north end of town. Most other hotels are downtown south side of bridge or near the airport south of town. We recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Fort McMurray.

Exceptionally clean hotel with incredible staff surpassed all my expectations. This hotel is extremely aware and cautious regarding Covid-19. Gail from guest services had a get well card and a complimentary fruit platter waiting in our fridge upon arrival. The guest service was incredible.

The rooms here are fantastic, very clean, updated, and large for a hotel room. I have to say the biggest thing is the staff, you will never find a better group of staff members anywhere, always greeting you, and just so friendly, can't imagine staying anywhere else in fort mcmurray. great job

My husband and I recently traveled to Fort McMurray for a family event. This hotel was recommended to us by a family member who has stayed previously, and we were so happy we chose this hotel. Our room was very nice - spacious, comfortable bed, nice view, very clean kitchenette with all amenities. The entire hotel is immaculately clean and the staff were very helpful beginning with check-in, breakfast, room service/cleaning and the use of the small conference room for a family baby shower. It was a wonderful event due to the care and attention from the hotel staff - the food, decorations and overall service far exceeded our expectations. Thank you very much to all the staff and the Manager (Paul) for a wonderful stay.

I spend a lot of time in hotels due to work. Staff and service here are excellent. All of the staff is very consciences in regards to safety concerning Covid. Hotel is clean, well maintained and provides additional amenities that others don't offer.

I was impressed with the level or cleanliness and quality of rooms. Spacious, bright and comfortable. My room had kitchenette, two closets, nice bright washroom and window face a back-hill which I didn't mind due to quite it provided.

Friendly staff consistently ensure guests feel welcome. Hotel is clean and comfortable with all the amenities. This is my first choice of hotels in Fort McMurray. If the weather is nice, check out the Teganova trail that begins just down the road and runs parallel to the river.

A true home away from home. The ladies at the front desk (particularly Lissy, Elaine and Stacy) go the extra mile in making you feel like family. On the rare occasion that something goes awry they are quick to resolve and do so with a smile. By far the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I can't wait to come back. Clean, modern rooms with great amenities. They even left notes wishing me a good day in my packed lunches! A truly exceptional experience.

I stay at this location on a weekly basis for work. When I arrive I am always greeted with a smile and friendly welcome from the ladies at the front desk, and Juanita asking if there is anything she could do to make the stay more comfortable. The hotel and its location are fantastic but its the staff who are willing to go the extra mile that really sets this hotel apart from others in town. It really feels like a home away from home

When going out of town, staying at the Best Western in Fort McMurray is a comfort. Great service and friendly staff.The front desk staff were always helpful and the resaurant staff were friendly and the variety and freshness of food was wonderful. I will be coming back here again..

The hotel is newer with up to date facilities and kitchens. The staff have a service attitude treating us like family guests. The breakfast buffet is the best we have ever experienced in a hotel. The food is fresh and well prepared, including omelets to die for.

Ft McMurray is an oil work town, I saw a couple of workers Take there soiled work boots off at the front door and put on booties supplied, they placed their boots neatly on the mat . The hotel restaurant and bar was very clean

Combined between my work and our vacations, my wife and/or I stay in hotels 80+ nights per year. Without hesitation, I can say that this hotel ranks amongst the best and most consistent. Cleanliness of the room and facility is important to us when travelling, and there is never a question with this hotel that you will be satisfied in that regard. Staff is clearly motivated by management to treat guests well, and service is very prompt. You will receive value for money. Once again, one of the clear advantages of this hotel is that you can be certain of what you will receive.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed 2 great full breakfasts. This is a great property for a short stay but also excellent for a long stay. The staff is very friendly, courteous and worked very hard to make sure we had everything we needed and that we enjoyed our stay. I will definitely book again.

This is a great Best Western, it feels very new. My room was a very nice king suite, it was comfortable and very clean and new. They have a nice little “market “ in the lobby with snacks, sandwiches, salads and freshly prepared dinners. There is also room service and a nice restaurant. There is lots of parking

I can't believe how the staff : Erin, Danielle, Stacy, Elaine, Melinda, Tim, Steph know their guests and provide over the top service and hospitality! Large comfortable room with small kitchenette was very bright room. Comfortable bed. Lounge is open and nice. I would recommend this hotel. I will be staying here again in the future for my trips to the Mac

Although this hotel is located in a northen Alberta community, the level of service and the overall quality of the hotel rivals five star hotels in major urban centers. I've stayed here many times and each time, it is obvious to me that the staff work hard to make sure everything is spotless and that my stay is an enjoyable one. I highly recommend this hotel.

I stay here a lot on business. Check in is smooth and quick and check out is equally as smooth. The hotel and rooms are always clean. Beds are comfortable with lots of pillows to choose from in the room.

This property consistently exceeds my expectations and sets the bar high for other properties. All staff are expertly trained and fantastic to deal with! Whoever designed this hotel has really considered the needs of the business traveler, including those that work in extreme conditions. From the big showers to fully stocked kitchens to the amenities available in the pantry, every detail has been considered. Breakfast here far exceeds what I have seen at other BW properties.

I was very happy to stay at hotel, had a few options but in Ontario I don't remember hearing of best western plus. Gave it a try and don't regret it. My next business trip will be in Calgary Alberta and will be booking same franchise. I also like after few nights you get a free stay if you sign up, unlike the competition, they have after a few night can't wait for the next trip.

We stayed here for the first time and were very impressed by the large, clean and comfortable rooms. All the staff that we met were friendly and helpful. Parking was easy right outside the front door. This hotel has a great breakfast and the restaurant is open for dinner in the evenings. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Sparkling clean rooms and wonderful hot buffet breakfast. Great breakfsst session for all guest and lots of parking space for guests. The only thing lacking is the lack of swimming pool and large conference hall.

The suites were very nice. Layout, beds and bathrooms were very good as there was a walk-in shower and 6 pillows on the bed. The kitchenette was in a good spot and had everything I required and more too.

Best hotel in Fort Mac. Close to all the locations I conduct business at. Great food and service. Not too far from downtown. Timberlea is even closer with just about all you need (Restaurants, stores, gas stations)

Great property - I stay there often. In my room was a nice treat; some fruit and goodies saying thanks for my 20th stay at the property. Great idea - made my day. Always a good breakfast, lounge in the evening, nice place to have a pint and relax - expanded menu from a few years ago, much better food selections

This hotel is still the best place to stay at while in Fort McMurray. Clean rooms, great food and very helpful and friendly staff. Stayed here back in 2016 and it was a surprise. Three years later and the quality and pride of the hotel and it's team is still there. Keep up the great work. I would recommend that when in Fort Mac, stay here.

This team led by the Manager of the hotel makes it one of the finest experience in one of the most unexpected places. Vwry responsvie, caring and empathetic culture . Add the great food in the breakfast and week nights to give you good nourishment (home like) , away from home!!

All the staff at the Best Western Plus Sawridge Suites in Fort McMurray is what makes me return all the time. from the Front desk staff, servers, cleaning staff to the shift managers they are ALWAYS there greeting you with a smile and a warm welcome.

This place is really nice. Rooms are nice and bathrooms are clean. I make this my stop if I ever need to go up there. Breakfast is a hot buffet style meal with lots of options. Be sure to bring your coupon with you.

I have returned to the Saridge Best Western in Fort McMurray several times now when in town for business trips. The staff and management treat me like royalty! Each and every time my experience there is amazing. The rooms are incredible, with modern amenities and extreme comfort. The linens in the room are luxurious; the kitchenette is equipped with everything you could possibly need; the bathroom is spacious and filled with everything you could need. The entire property is spotlessly clean and maintained. The restaurant and complimentary breakfast is the best you can find anywhere. The staff is warm and welcoming, and hoenstly cannot do enough for you to ensure your comfort and needs are looked after. There is everything you need here and so much more. This is not only the best place to stay in Fort McMurray, it is by far the best of any of my many business trip accommodations. I love returning to Fort McMurray knowing I can stay in this fabulous property!

Very happy, super clean newer rooms with kitchenette. Excellent breakfast buffet with great selection of fruit, and eggs made to order. The front desk staff is very helpful, very friendly and always greet me with a smile. Lissy, Kiersten and Patricia are the best they make me feel at home. Not your typical Best Western of the US, this is definitely at a much higher level. I stayed at the Radisson and Clearwater during this trip, the best western is much better!

The hotel is new and the rooms with the kitchenettes are great! They have an excellent breakfast buffet. Come with my wife and kids and the staff would give my kids little surprises chocolates/toys everyday that made them very happy. Our stay was very enjoyable.

We heard about the breakfast buffet so decided to try it. Definitely worth it and lots of variety to choose from. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was served a delicious omelette by Tyler and the executive chef Stephenie greeted and served us too. We went with friends and they said they would definitely go again.

The hotel was clean and modern, I especially enjoyed the shower. The complimentary breakfast provided was excellent, and the staff were very helpful, friendly and approachable. The check-in/out process was simple.

I had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus in Fort McMurray. The beds are comfortable, with great pillow. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and more than accommodating. My room was large and very well equipped with necessities required for a longer stay.

The hotel and guest rooms are beautiful, the staff are friendly, accommodating and very helpful. The breakfast buffet is the best breakfast I have had in the city by far. We are happy to make this our choice hotel going forward.

This is a fantastic hotel! It is very clean has a great breakfast included in the price. The underground parking is so nice expecially this winter and the super cold winter they had. A world class Best Western in Cold Lake, Alberta? I was surprised too! Almost brand new, extreme attention to detail in everything from beds to plumbing fixtures. I highly recommend this hotel. Flawless high speed internet, true HD television service, and they even have heated underground parking available!

Myself and my team of 20+ consultants have stayed here for a number of months and we believe this is by far the best hotel in Fort Mac. It's new and clean, feature a great breakfast that you don't get sick of, and have underground parking (convenient for the 8 months of winter in Fort Mac). The staff is very attentive and courteous. Kiersten Saunders is the manager and she's done a really good job of taking care of our needs. Conference space is available too. Only draw back is that rooms can be tough to secure unless you're booking a few weeks in advance.

This hotel is modern and clean. Rooms are nice and spacious. Little kitchenette with a dishwasher. Comfortable beds/pillows. Nice gym with small steam room. Friendly staff, both at front desk and lounge/restaurant.

The staff is great. The rooms are neat and tidy. Love the kitchenette and they always make our dogs feel at home. Plus underground parking is awesome in the winter. Our daughter lives on the north side of the river and this makes the BW the place for us. No trying to beat rush hour traffic to see our grandkids.

Love the breakfast buffet. A small group of us are here every week, wouldn't miss it! The made to order omelettes are a highlight. Sherry who often serves us is awesome. So yeah, we highly recommend the place.

Hands down the best I've stayed at after many many business trips to big name brand hotels. This hotel was clean, comfortable and very accommodating. Breakfast and dinner options were wonderful and convenient. It allowed me to tend to my own needs while dealing with the business demands surrounding the nature of my trip.

This is an excellent hotel to say in Fort McMurray. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the room is clean and comfortable (plenty of pillows!), the underground parking is a plus in the winter, and the food is really good (there is a really good breakfast buffet and supper buffet). I highly recommend this hotel if your are looking for a place to stay in Fort McMurray.

Hotel goes above and beyond to make sure guests are satisfied. I stay at a number of hotels and must say this hotel provides best overall experince. The quality of food on breakfast buffet is excellent, service was the same. I would definitely recomend this hotel to anyone travelling to Fort McMurray. They even gave us a box of chocolates for Valentines Day.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional. The hotel is new and very well maintained. The underground parking is nice and warm when it was -35 outside. The bed was very cmfortable. The Wi-Fi worked very well.

Great rooms, the beds were clean, hotel was new. I didnt expect any best western to be this nice. Staff was great too and the suite has a washer n dry combo so it made it super easy to wash n dry my clothes during the week i was there.

Have been to Fort McMurray twice for work and the service as Sawridge suites made my trip. The rooms are very compfortable and clean. Morning buffet is fantastic. They always have a great selection. I have stayed at many luxury hotels such as the Hyatt or Hilton and the best western sawrdige if Fort McMurray was a better experience.

Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Fort McMurray. Stephanie went out of her way to make sure the food was top notch. Breakfast is not your typical continental, quality food and an omlette bar that you won't find at many other hotels.

I like Best Western Plus in Fort McMurray because the rooms are always clean and the guest services are very professional and friendly. They went extra miles to offer me the room design that I like in my future visits.

This hotel is in a location served by a Gas Station and other travel friendly business. Its away from the City congestion and has easy access to the main Hiway. The staff are friendly and efficient and work to make the visit as seamless as possible. The visit was during a cold snap and the parking, ease of access helped.

What a great place to stay!!!! 28 people came for one night for our kids hockey games in Fort Mac. The staff were having their Xmas party that night yet they still went above and beyond to make sure our group was well taken care of. Even while dressed up to enjoy their night off they still made sure everyone was enjoying their stay. I have stayed at a lot of hotels over the years and want to give a shout out to this amazing group. Truly top notch on all levels!!Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Lounge and breakfast facility was clean, organized with great service. We have stayed in five stars hotels around the globe in this is far the one that gave us the most memorable positive experience. This was truly our first home as we moved to Fort McMurray few weeks ago. The experience was overwhelmingly delightful. From the moment we arrived, Kirsten at the front desk made sure our reservation was right, she provided all information about our stay and what to expect from living in Fort Mac. Having to small children, Sally at the front desk went out of her way to get us a bath tub and toys for the girls to play. Gael even gave us kitchen appliances because we comentted that we our furniture won't arrive to our new house until the end of January. The room was pristine, so well maintained, with extra towels and water bottles everyday. The laundry system in the room was so handy in our situation. The fully equipes kitchenette was more than enough to cook our meals inside the room, which we did not use only because the superb chef Stephanie made sure we would have warm meals ready to pick up everyday. These meals were so high standard, balanced and with quality ingredients. Whenever we would sit to eat it at the hotel restaurant, the adorable serves, Sherri, Melinda and Paige were there to antecipa-te our needs. Breakfast was always delicious. Shaun and his colleagues would prepare our omeletes and assist one bringing waffles to our table. The girls were so spoiled and they felt having a new family, specially because it was Christmas time. In the very night of Christmas, the General Manager Paul organized the most beautiful surprise for the girls. Apparently, Santa had came that night, drank his milk, ate his cookies and left several presents under the three. Our girls couldn't believe her eyes and we will be always so grateful for this WOW experience at the Best Western Plus Sawridge Suites! We highly recommend this place as the first choice for families and individuals that have high services and aqualung expectations from a hotel. We also hope to be back soon to meet all the adorable staff we have meet there. I attach here a few pictures that illustrate this outstanding experience!

As you walk in through the front door, you are greeted with a smile. The staff are most welcoming, friendly and helpful. From the entrance, the foyer, elevators, halls and into the room, one will notice how clean everything is. This is a clear demonstration of the pride and care taken which reflect on the “behinds the scene” maintenance. This hotel has a little shopping area that has items from laundry soap and dryer sheets, to an excellent selection of drinks, snacks, sandwiches, meals, canned goods, Tylenol, coffee bar, etc. The bar and restaurant are open to the foyer which helps to make one feel “invited in.” The breakfast included with the stay is great. One does not leave hungry. The option given to how the guest would like the eggs which also included making an omelet is very much appreciated and welcomed. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel rooms have all the amenities to make one's stay comfortable. Plenty of pillows, storage along with two closets in our recent room. The suites have in-suite laundry and this is very handy for longer stays. One can prepare meals in your room or head to the restaurant. The rooms are clean and this is very much appreciated. The closet floors are even cleaned which I have noticed in other hotels, this has been overlooked. The open shelving in the bathroom is also clean. If anything needs attending or repairs, I found it was fixed by the time I returned and I had only been away for about 1.5 hours. If one selects a room without the laundry machines in the room, there is a laundry room on the first floor. The gym has a large selection of machines to meet one's exercise requirements. Both facilities are clean which is appreciated especially for a gym. There are wipes provided to clean the equipment after one uses it. There is plenty of parking both outside and underground. The parking lot is well lit. The hotel itself is quiet and this allows for a most restful sleep. This is our number one choice when traveling to Fort McMurray.

Aside from well designed spotless rooms with super amenities (including extra pillows), it was the staff who took things up a notch. We are a group of 9 on a cross-Canada tour with our show The Huron Carole, and late night dining is tough. Kudos to Chef Stephenie who came BACK to work to prepare meals for us @ 11pm. Best breakfast bar we've encountered. Thank you Sherri for the smiles and hugs. Great way to start our day. We are road warriors who pay attention to hotel experiences and we will talk about this one for awhile.

all rooms are very clean and well organized. was checked into wrong type of room twice and took a few mins to get heat in second room but was still very nice. will stay again in future for sure for the food alone.

it's always a pleasure to travel on business to Fort McMurray every other week because of this wonderful hotel and its staff. The front desk staff are so pleasant to deal with as if I'm checking in at family resort not a business trip. Great hot and full breakfast, great restaurant and bar for dinner, complete(to my needs) fitness center, cozy and classy rooms, high-speed internet, HD cable but most of all the friendly staff, hotel and restaurant, and the wonderful managers make my stay very pleasant.

Great breakfast, big suite rooms, great staff. Only downside is it's 10 to 15 min North of downtown and nothing nearby,. The gym was ok and new, but but huge. Small steam room. No pool. In an industrial park. Restaurant has decent selection of well cooked meals.

Where to begin, can a place you visit get better each time you stay..The Best Western in Fort Mc Murray sure is. From the moment you walk you are greeted like you just got home for work and opened your own front door. The Check inn is seamless, never mind the Front staff how wonderful they all are but went beyond this time. I accidentally left my own Robe( my Favorited robe) on the bed. Gail from front desk called as I was a couple of hours away already and let me know. I arranged for UPS pick up , but my UPS driver didn't show up they called me the next day and let me know. From the moment you walk into this hotel property is super clean, smells good. From the Fitness center-restaurant-room. Impeccable. Good Job to the Housekeeping staff!! Since I reviewed before I wanna make mention to some new things I have noticed: The Best Western Brand have changed there amenities so across the Brand everyone has the same amenities I kinda like knowing what I get from the same branded hotel no matter where i stay if it is in Fort Mc Murray or Peace River . I liked Mother Earth don't get me wrong but the new Pharmacopoeia is really nice as well. I love the New towels in the room, there are Plush and I really like the stair step border , also to mention as a female traveler i liked the cucumber face wash cloths. The last time I stayed here I wanted a Spin bike for the Fitness room, so I mentioned it on my last trip advisory review.... No need to thank me:), but they sure listen to my review , as they just got in 2 Spin bikes and they were just being put together according to the AGM Erin McKay . So I look forward to spinning next visit( As I am a peloton user and can spin no matter where i go! So thank-you BEST WESTERN...You have earned my repeat business!!! See you in the Spring 2019:)

Never expected that a Best Western in - Ft. McMurray - would achieve an outstanding rating from me. Have travelled all over the world and was visiting family in Ft. McMurray. The hotel: room comfort, service, restaurant - were all excellent. I recommend it to anyone staying in Ft. M. Good Job - Best Western Plus.

I stay in a lot of hotels around the country and have to say this one ranks right at the top of them all. Super friendly staff. Super clean rooms. Wonderful breakfast. Good parking. It would be nice though if you carried Fox News though.

Mr. Jones and the staff at the Best Western are welcoming, professional and genuinely care about the quality of your experience. The property is impeccably maintained, inside and out - and not just incredibly clean, but thoughtful additions like mums and pumpkins at the lobby entrance. We stayed in a suite, complete with a mountain of pillow options, an enormous walk in shower and laundry machines (!) - all the comforts of home! The on-site convenience store and restaurant are perfect for quick snacks or a relaxed meal. The staff had been alerted that we were celebrating a special occasion and went out of their way to add little touches that really made our stay memorable. Thank you again; we look forward to finding a reason to return!

Fantastic hotel with all of the required amenities in the hotel. From the underground parking, fantastic lobby bar/restaurant to the ultra quiet comfortable rooms this hotel has it all. I stay at this hotel everytime I visit the area if it is available. Book in advance during the week because it does fill up.

I highly recommend staying here. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I usually stay in a queen suite as it has all the amenities that I require..huge showers, kitchenette and in room laundry. I've stayed in various places and hotels while away for business/work but this is by far the best in fort Mac. The location is perfect for both the close proximity to businesses in town and ease of access to make the drive up to site.

Excellent property with highly efficient and friendly staff. Really impressed with the size of room. It's a modern facility with a concept of home away from home. It provides you an opportunity to create your temporary home with an option to use their nice restaurant and bar.

This property offers comfortable rooms, wonderful dining and fitness amenities. If there is a downside to this property it might be that it is located in a business park so there are not walkable amenities.

Thus far, I have stayed at the Quality Inn (very retro, inexpensive and breakfast buffet B), Microtel (new, nice digs, breakfast buffet C+), Merrit (good for the price, no breakfast included, Failure), the Radisson (very nice rooms, breakfast okay C-) and Best Western (nice comfy rooms, kitchenette, nice amenities, a bit out of town, so quiet, and their food, fantastic A++).

Had a great time in Fort McMurray. The room was nicely furnished and clean. The staff were wonderful. I would like to think Sally and I believe Christina on the front desk, thank you for your help. Samantha the brunch hostess thank you very much for the half cup of coffee LOL.

I have stayed at the Sawridge over the past 3 years and it just gets better and better. It is a fine hotel, well presented with wonderful staff. I would not hesitate to stay here or to recommend it to others..

Hotel is outside the city which is nice, when you leave the parking lot sometimes you get turned around as it is in an industrial type area. It's quiet, clean and very accommodating staff. Friendly Service.

I do alot of hotel stays per year for both buisness and personal and the Best Western franchise has always been the most consistant in any city I travel to. It is for this reason I am a member and will continue to use Best Western.

newer place -modern decor with well equipped rooms -had kitchenette- did not stay long enough to appreciate the well equipped fitness room and unfortunately had to leave before trying the breakfast -food in lounge late night was good although service a little slow

The hotel is great. The continental breakfast in the am is great. It's a full breakfast. The gym is great for a hotel gym.....up to 60lb dumbbells.....steam room. Rooms are super nice. Really friendly staff. Cheers

Enjoyed my stay at BW plus in Fort McMurray. The hotel appearance was pleasant, they keep the entrance very clean despite all the mud, etc. from many folks coming and going. Excellent breakfast, spacious rooms, comfortable beds. A little away from amenities and in a small industrial park but quiet location. A little pricey but it is FM!

The physicalities of a hotel stay are of course very important. What is also very important is the staff. When the staff treat you like long separated and missed family it alleviates the distance from your home and makes the stay that much sweeter. All of that staff that I have had personal encounters with were of this cut and very sincere. I have been forced to stay at other hotels in the Fort McMurray area (because the BW was full) and found everyone to be bereft of this quality. You all have very high emotional intelligence. A critical and very rare fudamental component to a successful business. Especially in the hospitality industry. I shall remain a loyal patron and refer this statement to any that will listen.

From the time that we checked in this hotel is amazing. Polite and courteous staff at check in, (customer service is huge for us),our suite is exceptional for cleanliness, nice and quiet even though it is next to the highway. Amenities are very good. Food in the restaurant was tasty and a good selection for picky eaters. The breakfast buffet is included in your room rate, was very good, nice wait staff all round. Perfect spot and if given the chance we would stay here again and will be recommending it to our travel agent that selected our hotel for us.

I stayed at this property for the first time and loved it. The front desk ladies, cleaners I met in the hallways and the servers in the restaurant were all so friendly and welcoming. I really felt like they cared about not just how my stay was going but how I was in general. It is rare to find that level of genuine care these days. I also have to mention how clean everything was. This is "oil country" but you would never know it entering this hotel. Thank you for such a great couple of nights.

This hotel was recommended by a colleague. I was very unexcited as my experiment with Best Western's has been poor. Much to my surprise, this hotel was fantastic! My room (suite) was enormous, clean, modern and comfortable! It had a nearly full size kitchen that had everything you would need - great to have for those here working and don't want to eat out every meal. Very comfortable bed and a nice leather lounge chair with ottoman to work or watch tv. The full breakfast buffet in the restaurant was wonderful. Anything you could want and really good. The pantry store not only had the essentials (snacks, drinks, etc) but also pre-prepared salads, sandwiches, entrees, desserts, and freshly popped popcorn. I ordered a burger from room service one night and it was delicious. Staff was very friendly! This was a great place to stay while in town on business for the week. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and wish all of the other hotels I stay while on business travel lived up to this Best Western!

This location is relatively new so the level of cleanliness and upkeep is pristine. Service is very attentive and courteous. Located on the north end of Ft McMurray shortly after leaving town, there is no heavy traffic and soundproofing was taken into account during construction making the rooms and common areas very quiet.

The reason for my stay was to visit my husband on his birthday. The front desk heard that I was there for a birthday and delivered a piece of cake and a card to our room. The staff is very helpful and was great to talk too.

Location, price, quality and customer service are in the forefront at this facility. I appreciate the welcome when I stay plus the comfort when travelling solo for business. It's a one stop shop as it offers all you need for amenities, food options, packed lunch etc. I highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed here overnight on a business trip. It's in the industrial area but it's quite quick to get into downtown from here. The hotel is fairly large and the greeting at reception was really quick and staff was so nice. The room had a king size bed that had to be one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in and I really contemplated sneaking one of the pillows out with me when I left because they're so comfortable. They have these really cool blackout roll down shades on the window that made the room super dark exactly as I like it so that was a great touch! The room had a small kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, sink, dishes and even a small dishwasher. Breakfast (hot buffet) is included but because I was in a rush in the morning I just asked if it was possible to grab a coffee to go and they told me I could help myself to a complimentary coffee and a sandwich from the little “store” right by reception seeing as I wouldn't be stopping for the breakfast. The hotel is a bit pricey but totally average for Ft. Mac. I would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful clean new hotel. Very welcoming and friendly staff (Keirsten) was thorough, informative and kind. Got to check in early, which I appreciated immensely because I had an early flight. Room is beautiful, spacious and smells amazing. 6 pillows...yay, and a comfy bed. Exercise room is great, only downfall, steam room being deep cleaned so out of service. Will definitely recommend!

I've stayed at the old Sawridge hotel in Fort McMurray for at least 30 years, perhaps longer. This hotel is its replacement and it carries the Best Western brand. Its location is a bit outside the downtown, but it has its own restaurant and is in a fairly quiet location. The hotel is relatively new (a couple of years) and in good shape. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bed comfortable and the WiFi pretty fast. The exercise room is standard but in good shape. If you are looking for a good place in Fort McMurray, this is it, and the value is quite reasonable.

I love this hotel, it is very calm and clean. The rooms are huge and well equipped. The breakfast is very good and the staff are very nice. There is a gym but I can't say anything about it. Never had the chance to tray it yet. I recommend this hotel. Enjoy your stay in fort McMurray

Hotel was great! would stay there again. Room was clean and nice. There were dishes for use; however, there were no utensils or cutlery, paper towels, and a dish towel. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay very much..

Everything about this hotel was above and beyond. Every staff member were friendly, cordial and helpful. The room décor was modern and well designed right up to the Privacy and Please makeup room exterior lights. The kitchen in the suite was fully stocked with dishes, bowls, utensils and pots and pans all in immaculate condition.

Enjoyable stay. The staff are professional and pleasant and help to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel is on the north end of the city and then closer to the oilsands mines. A short drive to downtown for other restaurant choices.

Could not of been more pleased with my stay. Everything and everyone was top notch in my books.. from the day we checked in to till the day we checked out, could not of complained one bit.. the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff was extremely friendly.

For Easter, my 93 year old Mom and I went to visit my daughter in Fort McMurray and this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way! Everyone without exception was friendly, helpful and so welcoming including reception, housekeeping and the various serving staff. The rooms were excellent, large and comfortable with all the extras.....even a chocolate bunny delivered to each room on Easter morning! What a delight. We felt like part of the "Fort McMurray family."

Gail at the front desk is amazing! She sent me a text message a short while after I checked in to make sure that everything was good, and it was. It was great. My room was exceptionally clean, the bed made with military exactness, the sheets bleach white and looked as if they had just been brought in from the sun. Reminded me of the time I was in Fukuoka, Japan, where every bush was neatly trimmed, every street shining black asphalt as if it had rained the night before, and where men wore fitted suits and women classy skirts, contoured shirts, and colourful silk scarves tied around their necks. I had to go to Ft.Mac the other day and needed a place for the night. Where I usually stay had burnt down and I was not sure where to stay so I thought I would try this place. Very glad I did as this hotel is among the nicest hotel I have had the opportunity to stay at. There is ample parking for large trucks, a very welcoming front staff, restaurant and lounge. The food is pretty darn good too! The most important thing is the room. The room I stayed in was straight out of a high end 5 star hotel. The room was gorgeous to say the least, Very high end, classy and so tastefully done. I will definitely be staying there again and again and ....

Stayed here while in Fort McMurray on business. Rooms are large and clean. My room had a full kitchenette, huge shower and desk space if needed. Breakfast was included with the stay. It was a full hot breakfast buffet. Eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, fruit and the list goes on. It was delicious. Customer service was exceptional. Shortly after getting to my room I received a text asking if everything was okay. I had a request for a extra and it was delivered in minutes. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

I got the room for like $87 through some kind of online deal. The room was massive with a full Kitchenette. It was classy and misery and had a huge open space. Stand up shower instead of a tub. The staff were amazingly friendly and answered all my questions. They even followed up to make sure my stay was meeting my expectations. Phenomenal staff with a fantastic attitude. Actually impressed!

Location was quiet and i like that. Rooms were really big, comfortable and lots of space to spread out. I enjoyed the restaurant - the buffet dinners were very good. Honestly this is the best breakfast of any hotel that I have stayed at and it was free Underground parking when it was minus 20 was appreciated. The staff here are really really great - very friendly and can not do enough to assist. I am appreciative of the little extras they do to make our stay a positive one.

We stayed at the hotel over the Alberta Winter Games weekend and could not have asked for a better hotel! We were greeted personally on arrival by a member of staff and check in was quick. The room was spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. The included breakfast was fabulous with a good variety of food to choose from. The only negative for us was the location as it was quite a way from the town but otherwise an excellent choice!

We were in Fort McMurray For the Winter Games, we have never travelled that far North but we enjoyed every minute of our visit. The hotel is clearly not set up for families with only one bed but they had suites that had pull out sofas. More importantly to us was how our daughter was treated from the conversation at check in to the rice krispie squares in the kids club along with beverages and games she actually thought she was a VIP and kept asking if I was treated the same way when I travel and I had to laugh. Everyone in Fort McMurray treated us like they appreciated us coming and that they appreciated our business.

Have stayed here numerous time - first time I have ever reviewed a hotel, should have started long ago - when you get great service it should be recognized From check in to the end of my stay everyone goes out of their way to say good morning or hello - it makes you feel good when you are away from home. The bar staff are always professional and helpful The breakfast is something that just can't be beat - there is not a hotel in Fort McMurray that even comes close to providing the breakfast offered here I happened to be there last week as they rolled out the new menu for more options and the shrimp alfredo was outstanding !! Keep up the great work, I will be back in about a month.

Such a great and unexpected hotel in Fort McMurray. I stayed here for 2 nights while work was done in my home and all the staff were so amazing. They really cared that I felt comfortable and welcome. The room was clean and breakfast was over the top. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family when traveling to Fort McMurray. Hotel was a great choice - very clean and staff that really go out of their way to make sure that you had a good experience. Have been coming to the City for years and the service levels at the Best Western would be top notch for any City in Canada !! Great location which eliminates travel time if you are heading out to site but within a couple of minutes you can be in Thickwood or Timberlea and many dining options. Will be back for sure !!

My family always enjoyings coming here for the most important meal of the day! The selection of fresh fruit always has lots of options. Then there is yogurt, granola, oatmeal with all the fixings, fresh smoothies and tons of hot fresh entrees. We love the made fresh to order omelettes options and the fresh waffles that the kids get to press their own complete with a small heart in the centre isnpretty cute - not to mention the endless options to top them with. The restaurant is super clean and new and the staff are always smiling and happy to see you.

We didn't stay at the hotel as we are from Fort McMurray, we didn't even know you could eat at the hotel! Breakfast buffet is so amazing live cooking stations (Omelettes, eggs however you want then and French toast or pancakes!!) Everyone is so friendly!!! We have also been for dinner buffet which is absolutely amazing as well.. and what a great price $24.95 to have full range of the salad bar and so many delicious options! We will definitely be back, so good!

This hotel is exceptional. The staff is great and the hotel is in excellent condition. I especially liked the underground parking because it was extremely cold during my visit. The food is good. I had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The portion sizes exceeded my expectations and the quality of the meals were great.

Good position no so far of the city easy to found. The room is very clean, nice style all comforts inside, big parking good breakfast with live cooking. I suggest this hotel for business or vacation and for family.

I stayed at this hotel over the Christmas holidays and was very impressed with the service of the front desk team and the evening managers. The 24 hour market had lots of wonderful dinner selections to choose from including roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The best part of our stay, after we came back from visiting relatives, there were Christmas Stockings in our room filled with chocolates and candy! They truly did go above and beyond and made us feel at home!

The Best Western is the place to stay in Fort McMurray. It is clean, has great customer service, an excellent gym, and a nice breakfast. There are also no sketchy people wandering around which is a bonus.

This hotel is the only reason that I would ever stay over night in Ft. McMurray. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were great and comfortable, the parking was great!!! In door underground with windshield wash station!! The menu at the bar for food was ok, but that's what bar food is! Go for the nachos, you deserve them!! Stay there, or regret not staying there.

Had a great 4 night stay on a business trip at this new hotel just north of Fort McMurray. Well appointed rooms (good bed, nice walk in shower, complete kitchenette are just some of the features). Lack of temp control in room. Really appreciated the quality breakfast and dinner buffets with lots of choice. Compliments to the cook.

Very clean and affordable. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Felt safe in the area and appreciated the express checkout. I had to book another day and the staff stepped up and found a room for the second night as the hotel was very busy.

This hotel has all of the amenities, great service & the closest hotel to the mine-sites (on 63N highway).They also offer underground parking which is great for security & comfort. The breakfast (included in the price) is value for the money All of the staff have a positive attitude.

We stayed at the hotel because we had our pet and they were the first to come up on google.While waiting for my wife and son I decided to have a quick beer at the lounge. The bartender was very nice told me to take a seat and brought over my beer . Asked if i wanted a second then after that brought over the During the check in they were very helpful and even gave our dog and son a little gift bag.After we were checked in and got to the room we noticed that that our phone charger was broken. I went down to purchase one but they did not have my kind in stock, The very nice lady let me borrow one for the night free of charge.

I hadn't intended to stay over in Fort McMurray but the weather turned a little nasty so I thought it best to find a hotel and stay the night. As I was driving I spotted the Best Western and decided to give it a try. The room clean and very comfortable. The staff were efficient and very friendly. Very good value.

I was in Fort McMurray for a week on business and have stayed in other hotels. One of our team members had stayed here and recommended the hotel to me. It is important that I work remotely on the internet which was perfect here. I have challenges in the past at other hotels. The included breakfast was the best I have ever had and what a fantastic way to start your day with fresh made omelets, fresh fruit, breakfast meats. The staff was so nice the only place I can compare is the customer service you receive in Vegas :)

The quality, comfort, amenities and location of this hotel make it an excellent choice when travelling to the Oil Sands. Rooms are large and well appointed. It has an excellent fitness facility. I highly recommend it.

By far the best place to stay in Fort Mcmurray. Clean and modern rooms. Actual breakfast and not microwaved eggs and stale muffins. Drive past all of the bargain basement hotels that are typical in this town. Staff is great and actually speak clear English.

The staff here are just fantastic. Refreshing to see such a happy place full of positiveness Rooms are spacious and well equipped The buffet breakfast and dinners are set out in smaller portions than the big tubs you would normally see. This ensures freshness and is topped up whenever needed. And with great chefs the quality is fantastic

The hotel is very clean and the rooms are exceptional, a lot of room, equipment was new and of quality. Having sitting and sleeping areas within was a surprise for the standard room. Fitness center has enough units but I think the temperature was not set properly for winter. (it was too cold) As for the machines in the gym (stand bicycles, treadmills and weigh station + kinetics) they were of quality and in very good condition. Food was decent but more than enough for the breakfast. If I go back to MacMurray and I staying there 100% again Overall it was a pleasant location.

This hotel is off on it's own about 10 minutes from downtown. It is well maintained and the complementary breakfast is prepared well with plenty of variety. Rooms are large and if you wanted to you could get food and prepare in your suite. Be warned that hotel rates are very high in Fort McMurray.

My stay at this Hotel was for business and I will stay in the future the staff and location to the work site was very convenient. Only problem is that it is very dry right now in this area, small humidifiers may be an option for the rooms.

This is a new hotel in the north eastern part of the city. It is located in a light industrial area, which ensures quiet sleep in the evenings or on the weekends. The hotel is exceptionally clean (rooms, lobby, lounge). The staff is friendly and helpful. These seem to know what they are doing (possibly from more experienced staff?. The price (in our case) included breakfast and is a bargain.

This is by far the best hotel I have stayed in FMM. The rooms are clean, staff are friendly and helpful and the location is great for me heading out to site. There is plenty of space and a well stocked kitchenette. My top choice in FMM

The room was very clean with a mini kitchen which was great. The bathroom was extremely clean and large. Had a really great nights sleep. All the staff were upbeat and friendly. Good food and very creative for Halloween, with Halloween themed food. It was nice touch to receive Halloween goodies in the room at night. I very much enjoyed the bagged lunch and breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel.

This was a really amazing hotel. We stayed here for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were SPOTLESS. One of our travelling mates actually made a comment that it seemed like no one stayed in that room before. Not a hair could be found anywhere. Since this was one of best lit hotel rooms ever, you would be able to see it easily. The shower and bathroom were spacious. There was no bath but at least the shower was huge. The rooms were equipped with a stove, microwave, and small dishwasher. The cupboards also had nice dishes, glasses, and silverware. The bed was very comfortable and it was a nice touch having a bit of separation between the bed and the rest of the room. Each side of the bed had very bright reading lights. The place is suitable for long term stays. I'm not sure if we had a special deal for the morning breakfast but it was included with the room. This was one of the most thorough breakfasts I've had from a chain. They had a person who made omelettes to order and a wide variety of hot items. The potatoes were not the standard frozen variety hash browns. They were exquisitely spiced with rosemary and other herbs. Breakfast here was as good if not better than a lot of your high priced "5 star" hotels. Regretfully, we didn't get to use the pool or the steam room. If you're ever in Fort McMurray, I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. If not for the breakfast, for it's modern style and attention to detail for the long term traveller.

Without question the Best Western Plus Sawridge Suites is the best hotel property in Fort McMurray. The staff are exceptional; the rooms are absolutely amazing, especially the quality of the beds; a shower to die for; it's quiet, and it has every amenity that makes you feel right at home. Terrific property - I'll be back again and again!!!

Stayed for business and I like it. Quality and clean room, spacious, comfortable bed. I had a good time staying there. The only thing I would like is disposable cups in the rooms. The hotel is relative new so it is really nice.

I book my room ahead of time just to make sure I stay at this hotel. It is the best place in to stay in Fort McMurray. My favorite place. The staff are amazing and the hotel is beautiful. The service is first class and the hotel is new and always clean. Great WIFI connection and the food is delicious.

This is a great hotel for the Fort McMurray area. It is new and immaculate. I rented the room for a colleague who travelled up and he said the room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing as well. I checked in for my colleague and the front desk staff were so helpful and kind! The price is amazing too for Fort McMurray! I got an extremely cheap rate which is great because it is one of the newer hotels in town.

I've stayed at this location on numerous occasions and each time seems to get better. You couldn't ask for friendlier staff. It's always nice to be recognized when you walk in the door. Very clean place and well kept.

The price of this hotel is comparable to other hotels in the area. That being said, the food at this hotel makes it worth so much more. Not charging a "utility surcharge", along with the food will keep me coming back for every trip I make to Fort Mac.

I have been traveling to Fort Mac and stay at the Best Western 25+ times per year. It is the newest hotel, clean with amazing staff. I will never go back to one of the other locations. Juanita and Kiersten have been extremely helpful and will keep me coming back. It's worth the short drive to the north end of Fort Mac.

Came to town for work and this hotel was recommenced to us for its cleanliness and location to our work site. The breakfast was the best I have ever had as a continental. I will be back to this hotel and highly recommend it.

Our second stay here. Clean, modern and spacious rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is wonderful. But then, everything we have tried on the food menu has been tasty and awesome. The hotel may be a little hard to find as it is tucked away on the edge of the city but in a very quiet location.

First time at the Best Western stayed here on a Recent Business trip. From the moment I set foot into this Hotel. I was made to feel like I was coming home and not to a hotel.The Check-in was seamless. Shortly after I got to my Room I received a text from Alisha at the Front desk asking me if how my room was and if there was anything they could do to make my stay better.... That is impressive but the checking in didn't stop there , the next day asking if everything was OK and how was my stay. I had asked what was on the Dinner Buffet that night, I received another text from Alisha letting me know the full menu, and if I was not interested in that , there were a few places she suggested. Let's talk about this amazing hotel, Modern, the Room are Spacious, well laid out. The Bed Comfortable, plenty of Counter space in the bathroom and a Nice glass Walk in shower with Hand held unit. A plush robe. The fitness center is located around the corner from the front desk, can be used 24 hrs a day, 3 Treadmills, 3 Elliptical and 2 bikes. 4 Televisions , A universal weight machine, and 2 bench's with plenty of free weights. A couple of Exercise balls and a Bosu balls. A water cooler and plenty of hand Towels for working out. The room is modern /bright and cool, plus you can open the door to let fresh air in. I would love a spin bike...maybe management could add one:) So now for the Restaurant/Bar. What I liked after a long business day you need not to go out to Eat . The Restaurant has a Menu ( The Menu is limited to about 15 options), and a buffet nightly seems like a different buffet each night. Now the Breakfast on the other hand is Amazing who doesn't like a Omelette Station, they make your Omelette and bring it out to you. They made me an Egg white Omelette. There is also a few other hot options, like Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, and another Options. They also have Smoothies, that day was Banana it was So delish. Plenty of Fruit/ hard boiled eggs/ pastries /Cereals ...So something for everyone. If you can't stay for Breakfast and need to grab something and go you can from the Post, my last day I grabbed a Yogurt/Granola cup with Fruit. It was really good. So if you asked me if i would be back...In A heart beat!!! See you in the Spring!

Room was very spacious. Lots of room for luggage and lots of room in the desk area. Decorated in modern but minimalist style. Very clean. Location is in an industrial area with no restaurants or anything around. Excellent location if you are heading north but not great if you want to go out to a restaurant as nothing is walking distance.

It's a very nice hotel that houses all amenities needed to stay whether it be for business or personal. The provided breakfast buffet is a step above most seen in hotels, and I stay in quite a few with my job. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a quality sleep and stay

Everything about the hotel is amazing. The location could be better, however, in comparison to everything that is above and beyond about the hotel, the location is a easily overcome and somewhat of a moot point.

Making my first trip up to Ft. Mac, I was told to stay at the Sawridge Suites as I would not be disappointed. Well that is an understatement, upon check in, I was greeted by a friendly smile and a front desk attendant who was very informative and willing to help make my stay go as easy as possible. followed by a text a couple hours later just to see how I was making out and if there was anything else needed. That type of service goes a long way in my books. Another beautiful thing was the bed and the pillows....I now need to find these pillows for home, they are heavenly!! Just an all around great stay!

Truely one of the nicest group of staff I've come into contact with during my travels. Always accommodating, friendly and they go out of their way to make it a better experience. Clean, modern and comfortable.

I stay here every two weeks and am always treated well by all of the staff. Juanita always stops to say hi and makes sure that we are comfortable. The front staff is very professional and Kelsey in the lounge always remembers what we drink and strikes up an interesting conversation.

Great hotel. The location is at the far north side of the city in a small industrial park. Its a bit out of the way, however the rooms are very modern and comfortable. I would stay there again. The breakfast is really good for a continental breakfast.

I have stayed at this hotel previously and must say that the service has improved and it's always great experience staying there. The rooms are clean, well organized and comfortable. Extremely nice rooms and very clean. I like that I was able to accommodate my lab dog with no fuss. I found it a little far out of town but it is worth the drive. Overall it has a five star feel for a three star price.

Very positive happy staff with warm greetings on arrival. Excellent service due to my baggage not arriving, provided what I needed to be comfortable until it showed up. Service was excellent at the restaurant and internet was fast.

There is nothing not to like about this hotel. It is north of the Athabasca River in an industrial area. It has excellent access to downtown, the Suncor Leisure/Convention Centre and the highway north to the mines. It has ample parking, and is a very clean, new property on the outside. The front staff and the restaurant staff were very pleasant and professional. The room was excellent, with everything you could ask for in amenities including a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and at least 16 electrical outlets in the room for guest use. Bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom had a large walk in shower with full amenities. The breakfast buffet was very broad, and the full service restaurant at night served either an excellent buffet or order off menu. I cannot recommend this property highly enough!!

Room was spacious and bright. Complimentary breakfast was awesome, omelettes made to your liking. Service was great. Bar menu pizza was excellent. They had a benefit lunch buffet with all proceeds going to hurricane victims in US, I thought that was a great gesture.

This hotel was a real gem to discover. I have stayed in Fort McMurray off and on over the last 20 years and I was pleasantly surprised with both the quality and the extent of customer service that was provided. The breakfast buffet was diverse and well beyond the typical continental breakfast found at other hotels, and the staff were excellent. My only disappointment was the location - hotel was at the end of a large loop in an industrial park with only one road in/out of the area. If the location is not an issue for you, I would highly recommend this hotel as a part of your plans in Fort Mac.

My room was awesome and the hotel was clean and decor pleasing to the eye. My only complaint is how every hotel uses super thick pillows that hurt my neck, but that's something every hotel does (why? why do they all do that?) but seriously my room was gorgeous and the breakfast area spacious, clean and prompt service.

I gush over this hotel. I'm always there for business. If you don't need to stay in town (my clients are out of town and this hotel is closest to them) this place is perfect. It's new, clean, with enough food options to take care of what I'm looking for. I can even buy a bag lunch for the next day. Great fitness facility too. All around, a great place.

Of all the Best Westerns I have stayed in in Western Canada from Winnipeg Manitoba to Victoria, BC this is by far the best of the Best Westerns that I have stayed in. Many that I have stayed in while travelling in the U.S. cannot match it either. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are too die for. If I had one issue it was the lack of a pool and hot tub for weary travelers. Fort McMurray is fortunate to have such a great place. There is a lack of signage from the highway. So be careful.

Would highly recommend this hotel. It is by far the best place to stay. The quality of service is second none. I would like to know how they get the best customer service people in Fort Mac. Rooms are very comfortable, everything is so clean, they actually care about their guests. They work hard to get my future business.

Having stayed in a variety of hotels in Fort McMurray, this is easily the best. From the modern appearance and comfortable rooms, it makes the stay feel like home. The standard has been raised and I hope they maintain this for years to come as I make this my primary choice of hotel when visiting the city.

Came up for meetings brought new clients with us and this hotel exceeded all of our expectations. Clean rooms, comfy beds, best breakfast ever, and staff with personality. Will stay here again just wish the rooms were not sooooo pricey. The only thing I can say is watch your Best Western Rewards I have found that my points often do not get nights stayed applied to your account.

I stayed in this hotel from February to March 2017 for about 5 weeks. I find this hotel to be one of the best western hotels I have lodged in the whole of Canada, the staffs are amazing. One of the staff named Millie went over and beyond the call of duty to assist me with my luggage and ensured I was comfortable when I checked in. I will always recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Fort McMurray area. Great hotel, keep up the good work. What I like best about this hotel is their Monday to Thursday Buffet, I wish they can extend it to all days of the week. The food is very nice.

Upon my recent check-in I was greeted by the always friendly staff with the surprise of being selected VIP guest of the week! I stay at this hotel because of the staff and very comfortable and clean accommodations. VIP treatment includes an underground parking stall next to the elevator, complete with red carpet, room upgrade to a suite, gift basket, fruit tray and complimentary drinks and food in the lounge during your stay. Oh yes, and one free night stay! Awesome surprise to be greeted with. Just another reason to become a Diamond Plus member!

This hotel is comfortable clean and modern. It is a great place to stay if you have to travel to Fort McMurray. The hotel location is close to the edge of the city making it easy to get to the oil sand sites.

Ask to change some usd and one staff member offered to take them 15% off price... so i said no. Other than that they were nice, i arrived late and gave me some pizza places i could order a pizza from... pepperoni... Good beds and pillows, nice spacious room, good bathroom, clean... everything ok.

Excellent stay, pet friendly hotel. The service was excellent and the hotel was very clean and included complimentary breakfast buffet. My husband had to leave earlier than the buffet started for work and they offered a breakfast to go to be picked up at any time requested the day before.

I've stayed at this hotel numerous times and I enjoy it every time. Great breakfast and very nice, helpful staff. The rooms are very nice, well laid out, and always clean. It's location is a little out of the way, about a 5 minute drive from downtown, but that is a bit of a benefit as you're away from traffic and a little bit closer if you have to go to Suncor or Syncrude.

Have to say we stay in a lot of hotels but the staff here are the Best all around . Alisha at the front desk was Awesome , she checked in on us to make sure everything was up to the high standards of this hotel . The restaurant staff , front desk , the Chef , housekeeping , all take great pride in making your stay here the best . I needed a 5 gallon water jug filled and the maintenance man filled it for me and insisted he pack it out to my truck for me . Thx ! The breakfast here is the best all around , during certain hrs in the morning he will make to order omelettes which is awesome . Restaurant food was great and plenty of it . The rooms , beds , decor , bathrooms , kitchenettes are modern and comfy . There is underground parking here , a gym , small store area with all your needs plus sandwiches , salads , etc for a good quick lunch . The lounge seems to be a great spot to visit with friends or a casual meeting with modern flare . Stay here for the Best of the Best in customer satisfaction from the Staff !!!

Beautiful hotel .Very modern and staff were extremely well trained in customer service.Would stay there again without a thought.Loved the doorbells outside the doors which also serve as the "do not disturb"(in red) and the "clean room"in green.Room was exceptionally clean and very modern with microwave, induction cooktop,and dishwasher.Bathroom was very large with huge glass door shower.

This hotel feels brand new. Staff is friendly. Ammenities are very nice. Fitness centre is large and well equipped. Hotel breakfast (included in my stay) offered a large variety, including Healthy options.

Good location , only thing is, it is away from local business, grocery stores, restaurants ect. Their is a restaurant in the hotel and dinning area. Never been to Ft. Mac before these stays, and I am staying here for the second time.

Simply the BEST hotel experience I've had in a very long time! A new hotel, all 'rooms' are actually suites. Lots of tile and definitely contemporary/modern. Clean lines, lovely washrooms. The fitness centre is next to a superb steam room - definitely one of the hi-lites of the stay. The weekend brunch is amazing - appetizing food and the staff are friendly in the restaurant. The Reception Desk is very friendly and accommodating. The price was absolutely great value for the money!

Overall the hotel and staff was good. The restaurant was a little pricy and slow service. The rooms are nice but not cheap. The girls serving breakfast were excellent and friendly probably one of the best breakfasts continental you will get included in your room charge

This new hotel in Fort McMurray is modern and airy. Dining area is off the lobby and spacious. Rooms are crisp, clean, and great for the business traveller. I particularly liked receiving a text from the front desk asking about the room and if I needed anything. Nice touch!

Great hotel at a great value. Rooms are extremely nicely appointed with everything someone would need, even on an extended stay. The restaurant is like a chip wagon trying to pass as fine dining. Get a real menu for your guests. We are not in down town New York.

For anyone looking to stay in YMM on business this hotel offers everything you need. It's just a little past the downtown core, which for me creates a bit of a space after a long day. The staff have always been helpful and friendly, and I feel secure there travelling as a single woman. The kitchenette is well-equipped and eliminates the need to rely on eating out all the time.

This hotel is very nice and has a full kitchen if you like to cook including a dishwasher. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is expensive and does charge an additional large amount of money when you check in for incidentals. I did not like this and it would have been better had they told me this upfront instead of at the time of check in. It is expensive for what you get but then again everything in Fort Mac is expensive and way over inflated in price.

Very nice hotel with great rooms that include kitchen. Location is past confederation opposite Suncor Business Centre so convenient if your working at Suncor or Syncrude. Evening food offerings are pretty basic.

I was so impressed with how well the staff is trained. Everyone knows what they are doing. Everything' works like a Swiss clock, just perfect! Food in the restaurant is to die for, the room is spacious, the bed is so comfortable along with the pillows. The atmosphere in the hotel is very lovely, friendly and happy. Rooms were comfortable, check-in was smooth and efficient, and breakfast buffet was good with plenty of options. It included a kitchenette and will all the utensils you would need if you were staying for an extended visit. My two issues in contrast are so minor! It is in the middle of nowhere...After spending time on a plane then in a meeting I would have liked to go for a walk but there is really no where to go! In the middle of an industrial area. The second is just as minor - the pillows - all four on my bed were horrible - at least for me. I like foam and none were firm and foam...otherwise a good hotel.

Check in was a breeze and staff was super friendly. I liked how they check up on you via text messages throughout your stay to ensure everything is ok. Room was amazing, so nice. Lots of pillows and the bed was comfortable. They accommodated my dog well also. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the complimentary buffet breakfast or the restaurant but it smelled so good every time we walked through. I travelled here for the weekend to see my boyfriend, who is working in the Oilsands. The location is right on the north end of the city, in a small industrial park, which is kind of strange, but it was very nice and quiet and my boyfriend appreciated that it wasn't too far from his camp. It was also nice to be away from the "nightlife" in downtown Fort McMurray. The hotel itself is very nice inside! There is a 24-hour little convenience store right by the front desk with lots of food and toiletry kinds of items, and a nice bar and restaurant. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and knowledgeable, especially Alisha. The room was beautiful and clean, and very well appointed! A big shower, a kitchenette that is bigger than my own kitchen at home (and a lot nicer), and a nice firm bed. Everything was spotless and modern, we were both really impressed with the quality. I definitely plan on staying here next time I come to visit! It's also definitely worth signing up for the free Best Western Rewards on their website, the preferred rate you get is much much better than what is offered otherwise!

Stayed in early May for 7 nights. Very pleasant, professional and well trained front desk staff. Clean, well appointed rooms with comfortable bedding and lots of chairs. Too bad they don't offer hot breakfast sandwich before 6, however the bag breakfast is nice touch!

Not the most convenient location because it's north of town but a very comfortable and well run location. Comfortable rooms with great service and an awesome breakfast buffet. Rooms are spacious and most feature a kitchenette.

From beginning to end of my stay... I had en experience I have never had before... Hospitality is fantastic. Being a long term customer of the past Sawridge, this one has just stepped it up. Other hotels in the Municipality of Wood Buffalo have rates that far exceed this hotel, and the quality is nothing comparable.

I enjoy staying at BW because of how I am treated by the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms. I stay in a hotel for business purposes but its like being on vacation when I get to the hotel...that sums it up.

This was my first trip to Fort McMurray and was thankful it was arranged for staying at this hotel. Staff, food and facilities are great. As this was a business trip, the location to Oil Sands market was perfect! Could not be more satisfied with the experience.

The service was great! Breakfast was fantastic! Bed wasn't all that great for comfort, but lots of fluffy pillows, bring your own flat one if you like that kind. Nice and clean, fairly new hotel. Not the best place for quick in and out because of location, but worth it for what you get. Looking forward to staying again. Two thumbs up!

Hotel by far the best in town and maybe in Alberta great service and breakfast was amazing well worth it. Well thought out layout if hotel which includes heated underground parking. Store front full of many items to enhance the stay. The rooms have kitchens with all the amenities.

Had a quick trip to Ft. McMurray with my son for a gymnastics competition. Hotel is clean and functional for the 2 of us. Full kitchenette and everything is new! 2 TV's in the room wasn't needed but great for multi-channel surfing. The only issue was the room was cold and took 7-8 hours to warm up... a little weird. And they only offer king beds and no double beds? Would have been nice to have our own beds but we shared. The hotel has a generic restaurant with an ok menu but don't expect much more than bar food for dinners. That said the pizza was actually really good. Great staff all around, everyone was friendly and will to help when asked.

This hotel is by far the best place to stay in the Fort Mac area. It is modern and convenient at a reasonable price for what you get. It is minutes from the DT core and easily accessible to highway if traveling to the mine sites north of town.

Terrific place to stay, the suite was quiet, clean and very welcoming. Staff went beyond to be helpful and accommodating. Its the Best!!!. A ways out of the downtown core yet close enough to all amenities provided you have a vehicle/car yet not too far.

Love this hotel, great suite amenities if you want to eat or prep food in your room. Hot breakfast is a fan favorite with a good variety for all age groups. Staff that is top notch, who offer quality service without being overbearing.

This new hotel is the best in Fort McMurray. It offers everything with great staff and service. It is a bit out of the downtown area, but travel to and fro is very easy. Parking is available under ground which is a blessing in the winter months

I stayed many different hotels in Fort McMurray but this hotel is one of the best in Ft McMurray. Great location. Perfect Service. When you enter the lobby friendly reception welcomes you. Rooms are great clean. King Size mattress was really comfortable. If you wan to go sites in the morning you bypass most of the town traffic. I will definitely stay there again. Restaurant bar was great. I give 5 star for this visit.

I can confirm all the positive comments about this place: new, clean, well located, direct access to highway. Only inconvenience by the moment is the limited options for dinning. But, just driving a couple kilometers you can find plenty options. I will return to this hotel for future travels to Fort McMurray.

This is a very new hotel and everything shines. The rooms are designed with a kitchenette in them for a long term stay. A sitting area and small table and 2 chairs are separate from the desk. Queen size bed with 6 pillows. I didn't try them all. The bar/restaurant had a buffet meal for the dinner and a limited menu to order from. A breakfast buffet was included in the rate. Overall an excellent experience

A good and recommended place to stay. Overall my stay was comfortable. Hotel have a decent breakfast and a spacious parking lot. Check in check out were smooth.I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.If you want a quality hotel with excellent staff in quite location and reasonably priced consider this.

I really like the new concept. The meals where above my expectations. The value for the dollar is very good. Staff is very professional and helpful. The room was above average for the price. This hotel might be missed by some as it is on the far north end of Fort McMurray, it is well worth the drive. I would say the nicest stay in the town.

Beautiful new hotel with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay and get a good rest, and enjoy your time. A little out of the way in terms of distance to town and irport, but it's as close to camps as you can get in the north, so that was convenient for a meeting I was attending up in the camps.

I can't say enough good things about this place! The staff is great, and the room was awesome: spacious, clean, nice bed and a great big shower stall. And the included breakfast buffet was fantastic. Definitely staying there again next time we go to fortmac.

Paul and his staff completely shocked me with the level of cleanliness, professionalism, and conduct of the hotel that I did not expect. On my late arrival, I had a hand written welcome card in my room along with a fresh fruit platter waiting for me in the refrigerator. Awesome place!

In the past 2 months of having to return to FT McMurray for Business its been a real relief to have a Hotel that's like Home. Its been a really hard time returning to the community that you lived in for 25 plus years and a home of 20 years left to no more than ashes. The Staff have been so understanding to our needs so friendly to deal with every hour of the day. a room so complete and refreshing . We had such a great stay during this our most trying hour. I returned to Ft MAc Sept 5 and had to pick up the wife's truck from the hotel. I let are dogs out for a quick washroom break and they were so excited when they got out trying to head for the front door LOL. They were greeted every morning as well as us with a good morning and a friendly smile and conversation on our day. Great hotel and awesome staff will continue to use for Business for many years to come.

I was very impressed with the service from the time you walk in the lobby til the time you leave. The staff is outgoing and very friendly. The building is new and everything is keep very clean. We ate at the buffet and the food was very good , my husband is very fussy but found lots to eat. They also have a bar and little convince store. Great hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and brand new hotel. Breakfast was amazing....nice buffet and lots to choose from. A little secluded from other in town restaurants and shops but great choice. This hotel looks much nicer than the hotels in the city...I guess you can't have it all.

This was about two weeks after people were allowed back after the fire, so I'm not going to comment on the service side of things, the food, or anything else that needs input from outside the building. The rooms are nice, no real views to speak of, and in an industrial location, so unless you are headed out to site, it may be a little out of the way. That being said, it's a new facility with nice amenities and strong wifi. Rooms are a decent size and keycards are NFC.

I regularly travel to Ft McMurray for work. I was extremely pleased with the Best Western. Brand new accommodations, great gym with steam room and great food with even better service. Made travelling for work feel less like work!

This hotel is new and very modern. There is a full breakfast available complimentary with your stay. There is a dinner buffet in the evening that is $25.00, which is cheap for Ft. Mac. The rooms were clean and ultra modern. A very classy hotel.

A nice new Best Western property with all of the amenities at your fingertips. There was no need to leave the property when I got in from a day of work. The only downside is the restaurant does not have a full menu so you are stuck eating the buffet. The lounge is great for catching up on emails and having a beverage while doing so.

This hotel is SO nice!!! Rooms are fantastic. Great glass shower. Kitchenette if you need it is fully stocked. Fantastic lounge with a wonderful server. Buffett is available and looks really good. We tend to order appies and find them really good. Front desk is super helpful. Love it!! My new home when in the Mac.

This hotel has a winning combination of service and quality that is rare to find. All the amenities of home, Wi-Fi, great cable TV selections. The bathrooms have nice full size showers. which is great in the morning, you don't have to do a balancing act in a tub/ shower combo and they are very easy to get in and out of.

Excellent service and great quality facilities - price is a little steep. Have stayed here over 20 nights this year. Breakfast buffet is very good. Gym facilities are good - steam room is a plus. Would recommend this Best Western Plus to any travellers.

i always stay when i have a choice with best western cause of the beds and room size. The new Best western Sawridge suites brings that expectations to the next level. The beds where amazing as always but the room was awesome set up perfect to live like you were staying home. My new favorite Hotel in Fort McMurray

Only sloppy powdered eggs available at Breakfast When I asked the Restaurant manager for an Omelelet or at least some real eggs he turned arrogant on me and said there was no way he would cook any other style of eggs I've stayed in many BW hotels around the world and this was by far my worst experience Never again! I cant stomach Arrogance sespecially in a hotel whose rooms start at $269 p/night Give your heads a shake BW Managers at BW PLUS

The finally opens a best western in ft mc, a welcome site very nice great rooms and friendly staff, the strange thing was the restaurant, at the buffet you had to weight your food? But there is no explanation why? So you have to ask your way around, but overall nice place

We went here for breakfast with the family, the price was good but the food was not the greatest. It also was not very child friendly. We definitely will be seeking out another restaurant to be having family Sunday breakfast at. We had to order eggs separately and we waited for 20 for our scrambled eggs with cheese for our 2 and 5 year old. Then finally my husband went to ask where the boys eggs were and the cook behind the counter forgot to make them. They came out 5 minutes later burnt and the cheese was just thrown on top, almost as though to cover up the burnt egg.

Wow this hotel is very knew but has everything you need. Kitchens in the rooms, Lounge, Restaurant, Mini Store, fitness, pool and and amazing breakfast spread. We love BW's but wow this one is like royalty. So happy they are continuing to open more in Northern Alberta. Fox Creek, Peace River and now Ft Mac keep building You will be blown away by the hotel.

Very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel is brand new and very comfortable. Check-in was a breeze and the staff were very kind and helpful. The rooms are modern and nice. I highly recommend staying here.

Really great hotel with top-notch customer service. I stayed for over a week and everyone at the front desk could not have been nicer. Super clean rooms with new amenities, and very comfortable beds. We dined and drank at the bar often, with really good options for food and drink. I will not stay anywhere else when I am in town!

The hotel is modern, clean and fresh. Loved the dinner buffet included in the room price along with the breakfast buffet in the morning. Rooms are large and comfortable. It's tucked away in a light industrial area so it's a bit quieter than other hotels I have stayed at. This will be my 'go to' hotel whenever I am in Fort McMurray.

Our room was beautiful and clean. It had a stocked kitchenette, with dishwasher. The bed was comfy, the pillows were a bit soft for my liking though. The staff were always friendly, and they had one of the best complementary breakfasts I have ever had with so many options. The waitress even remembered our drink order the second day. I would defiantly recommend this for a short or long term stay.

Once again the Best Western Hotels are the best. The service from the moment walking into the hotel was great. From the lobby to room, to the overall hotel it is clean and comfortable. Breakfast choices were amazing. If you go hungry that would not be the fault of the Best Western PLUS Sawridge Suites. I liked the idea that they head a little store area where you could pick up a sandwich or salad or just a snack. It helped out as it is in an area where there are no restaurants around you. Would stay here again if the opportunity arises.

This is by far the best experience I have had in a hotel in 20 years. The Best Western Sawridge Suites is new, and still has that new smell to it. The staff are very friendly and courteous throughout all departments. The suites have comfy King size beds and a selection of firmness of pillows (who thinks of that?!!) to suit your sleeping arrangements. The kitchenettes are fully equipped with everything (cutlery, cups, utensils including a mini fridge and dishwasher. The large rain-head shower and is a nice touch. Bob Marley One Love Coffee for an eyeopener out of the in suite Keurig, and its off to the included breakfast buffet to get a custom omelette made up. I showed up on an Easter weekend and was away from my family for the first time ever for an Easter and missed our regular get together. The staff surprised me when I got back to the hotel later that evening with an Easter egg, but what really got me was that they included a card with everyone's personal signature on it wishing me a Happy Easter. Wow, that's a first too! Sacha (the manager that weekend) went out of her way to hand deliver each one of these cards and gifts to the guests that were there that weekend, and not at home with their families. This is a very classy Hotel tucked in a quiet spot with a world class staff that go out of their way to take care of the details that go beyond your expectations.

Nice new hotel. Great amenities and service. Restaurant and Lounge are very good, clean and well maintained. Location is well situated for visiting Fort McKay and north of Fort McMurray. I would recommend to those visiting Fort McMurray.

Currently this hotel is tied with the Best Western Premier in Calgary on my 'favourite everyday-hotels in Canada' list. Until I figure out which one is better, I have no first place designation. I assure you Fort Mac is the most boring place you will ever visit, but at least this Best Western will make your stay enjoyable.

Great hotel in a decent location however it is in a industrial area. Very clean and modern rooms and great amenities such as the Outpost, fitness room and lounge.Highly recommend for business or pleasure.

Very clean and modern. Staffs are nice. I have been stayed lots of hotels everywhere, but this is the one of the best hotels. Location is kinda weird but if you have a vehicle, it should be ok. Breakfast is complimentary. I would go back again for sure.

I stayed here awhile when working up in the oil sands and must say it is the best in town. Location is the best for heading out to work -knocks off tons of stop and go traffic going through town. It is new so very modern and clean. Dinner is buffet style which I liked because you can eat fast when done work.

Very Nice and new hotel North of the River in Fort Mac. I have stayed in many hotels in this city in the past and the value here is better. I have paid a lot more in other hotels for conditions that were less than stellar. I will continue to stay here when I visit the area.

I had the best business stay at the Ft McMurray Best Western Plus. They assisted me with planning my meeting and ensured every need was taken care of so that I could hold a successful training session. The rooms are great, the bed was superior, and again I can't say enough about all the staff at this hotel! The restaurant/lounge staff were attentive, the front desk went above great service to assist me, the fitness facility is high quality. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Ft McMurray now.

I've stayed here several times and always had a good experience. Its a few dollars more than some of the others in the area but comes with some extra perks. The rooms are larger and often you can get a free voucher for breakfast. The breakfast is great, more than just microwaved stuff or cereal and bread.

Typically, I never write reviews about accommodations, but this was a disappointment. The Room reminded me of staying in a dilapidated work CAMP. When staying at a hotel, one should have the same amenities as home. These rooms only come with a shower. The bedrooms have only about 2 feet of space between the bed and walls. It gives one a claustrophobic feeling. Hotels rooms should be inviting but this room was sterile and cold. Shortly after surveying the room, I was ready to check out, in hindsight I should have. For breakfast, the scrambled eggs were very overcooked and had the same texture as neoprene, and the potatoes were undercooked. The orange juice was prepared with club soda or tonic water.

Staff and hotel is excellent! Lisa and Katy are great! Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Nice to have a lounge and place to eat with great surroundings. This is the only place i stay in while in the Mac area since it opened up, and i travel to this area weekly.

Its been a while since I stayed in Fort Mac so this hotel was new since the last time I was here and by the looks of it quite new. Nice clean rooms and lobby and the breakfast is excellent. It's located on the far North end of town in an industrial/commercial area so it's best suited for people in town on business.

I am in town for work and I'm amazed by the quality of this hotel. The accomadations, service, and food are some of the best I have ever received from a hotel. The assistant manager, Lisa, took care of all our needs with a smile, and really made us feel at home. There is no other place I will stay when I come to Fort McMurray.

Great location for business in the Oil Sands and Fort McMurray. Close to Hwy 63 for travel North and very close to stores in Fort Mac for anything you might need. Friendly and professional staff. Great room setup for comfort and business activities. The room design and layout caters to both realxation when you need it and productivity when business demands it. I'll be back!

The hotel staff are some of nicest people to do business with. and the rooms are , rooms and restaurant are all awesome. My husband and I travel a lot and this is one of our favorite places to stay. The fact that they allow dogs makes it even better.

The new Sawridge is a great place to stay if you are heading north to the plants. Place is new, modern and very clean. Staff are great, always smiling and really friendly. The dinning options are the hotel restaurant, order in pizza or drive 10 minutes to a host of eateries.

I hope to stay there again! This was an opportunity to stay on Fort MacMurray, and I was looking for a very nice hotel, and this hotel did not disappoint! I will gladly recommend this hotel this to friend and work associates.

The rooms were spacious, kitchenette contained everything to feel at home. Staff was over the top, they went out of their way to make you feel special, I forgot my glasses and staff and management couriered them to me, that was not expected. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Very helpful and friendly staff. My husband has been staying in this hotel on and off for months and he has never had an complaints. The breakfast bar is very good !! They take dogs and that is a plus because so many hotels don't .

Wow. How great is this place. Brand new with everything designed with all the newest ideas. Very large room with a great bathroom. Great breakfast and bar. Plus the friendliest and most accommodating staff I have ever seen. I got there after hours and they made me something to eat. The only place I will ever stay while in Fort Mac. My husband planned a romantic night out and the hotel couldn't have been more accommodating! They assisted with providing fresh flowers, chocolates, wine - even towels fashioned into clever animal shapes made the whole experience feel like a mini vacation. We stayed in a queen suite which was sleek, modern and very European in decor. While we only stayed one night, I can imagine how comfortable this room would be for a longer stay and particularly for business guests due to the proximity to major oil sands operations. Fully equipped kitchenette, dishwasher and even in-room washer and dryer. A comfortable, well lit work area also provided. Creations restaurant and lounge was comfortable and service superb - thanks Lisa for keeping our glasses full and service well timed. Be sure to try the chicken wing appetizers cooked to perfection and especially impressive that the kitchen is a "no deep fryer zone"! Breakfast buffet was included and the made to order omelettes excellent. Great selection of fresh fruit, pastries and various other breakfast choices. Courteous, professional staff from check in to check out - you won't be disappointed.

This hotel is far from everywhere. You need a car so you can buy what you need, if not you will be stock at the hotel. Going to town for a cab is bit pricey. Rooms are okay but no bathtub, I was looking forward to take a deep bath after work. Internet is slow.

This hotel and the staff is amazing! I stayed in a single queen bed room, and I was blown away by how large the room was. The bathroom is larger than most hotel bathrooms, with a large glass shower on one end, and a long sink counter. There are two closets in the room, one with a safe. Also a kitchen area with stovetop unit, bigger than mini-fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, as well as dishes and pots. Bed was very comfy, it has a pillow top mattress. Large (55"??) wall mount TV, good free wi-fi (I got over 3mbs), large desk area (counter). In fact, the room reminds me of the kind of room you would get at a resort! The included breakfast buffet is very good, food is tasty. Every staff interaction I experienced over my 3 day stay was excellent, everyone was friendly and very helpful. The lobby even has a 24 hour snack shop that is like a mini convience store! The hotel has been open since June 2015, so it has a very modern vibe to it. The location of the property is in an industrial park, but a new part of it, so there is not a lot to see or do unless you have a car. But it is the closest hotel to the Oilsands operations north of Ft McMurray. I highly recommend this hotel!

A terrific new Best Western in Fort Mac. Finally! Huge lobby, very nice. Lots of parking. Very upscale and modern décor through out the hotel. Stayed a week, queen suite. This is the smallest of their rooms, and it was quite large, very comfortable. All the rooms have a full kitchen, complete with a Kuerig coffee maker (which I love - thank you management for giving me great coffee) Very quiet. Huge TV with a pull out flexible wall mount. Blazing fast internet that never faded out. Hot water was a little slow on the tap, but once it arrived there was plenty. Restaurant was open all 3 meals...it is all 3 meals buffet. Breakfast is included. Good quality, but buffets do get a tad boring for me after a few days. Full bar, if you want. lots of seating. good service. This hotel sits well out of town, on the northern side. (The wrong side?) There is only industrial venues around it. The town of FtMac is 10 minutes away. But, beautiful hotel. Reasonable rates. I will happily stay here again

Normally being new is a good thing, this place still needs a little polishing. Nice large rooms, great amenities but the WiFi is a little flaky. Room temperature controls were not good, with the ac kicking on with the setting at 22C on a winter morning. Personnel were great. Their association with Sawridge only makes them better.

Stayed here for a single night while travelling on business. After picking up our car from the airport we headed out to the Best Western Plus Sawridge Suites. I have to admit that I didn't know where the hotel was and once I entered it into the GPS I was a little shocked to see it was a fair distance away from what I was expecting. I also hadn't realized that this hotel was brand new in July of 2015. Upon arrival I was not disappointed when checking in. Everything is very modern and clean. There is a complimentary buffet breakfast with fresh made omelettes, bacon, sausage, potatoes, juices, coffee, pastries, fruit, etc. The rooms are spacious and modern. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Plenty of power outlets throughout the room to plug your devices in. Large flat screen tv's with in room movies and many channels to chose from. After arriving here we decided not to head out to grab a bite and decided to stay at the hotel and have dinner. Dinner did not disappoint. There is nothing really close by at this time so the on site restaurant was our only choice. Overall, I would definitely stay here again despite the fact that it's a bit out of the way.

I stayed here for a week for work, a king bed suite. The room was fantastic, very modern, very clean, very quiet. I was worried about highway noise, but could barely even hear it and I am sensitive to noise. The staff were all really great, greeting with smiles all the time. I had an issue with the heating/AC(new hotel glitches) and they all treated me and the problem with importance and respect. I felt well taken care of, which can truly be a rare thing these days, in the service industry. They fitness room is really quite nice. The restaurant staff were lovely. Little store in hotel has many items one might require. The only thing I might recommend is to turn down the lighting in the restaurant and the rooms, it was very bright. I would have liked a dimmer lounge feel to the restaurant in the evening....sit down in the lounge after a long hard day. Also the wall lamps by the bed were too bright, they reflect in the tv, maybe request to have the light bulbs taken out of all but one. But they have these cool little personal, adjustable reading lights on each side of the bed. I just used those and pointed them to the ceiling for my bed lighting, while watching tv. Overall is a great hotel and fantastic staff, they deserve a HUGE thumbs up, I wish them much success! I would most certainly stay at this hotel again.

I booked on line via our corporate on-line booking tool, the rate was about $220. When I checked in and went into my room and signed on to the B/W internet, a banner page launched and advertised a special first timers rate of $150. plus some bonus points. I asked at the front desk and was told I did not qualify, it was for phone in reservations only. I checked the B/W main webpage, the special rate was not listed there either. I asked upon check out about this and was again told I did not qualify. Don't advertise something with no intention of honoring your special rate. I am sure the marketing people at B/W corporate would not approve of this false advertising. What a bunch of Crap
