    « Not a great Experience »

Stayed here for 4 days with my husband well he worked... Pool was a waiting pool, the restaurant was under construction.. The Bar downstairs had no music or warmth. Front Desk, staff did only what they had to as they were all young. We booked a queen size bed. When we got there we got 2 twin. That they said was Queen size, they were going to move us to a queen size room but the bed was a small looking twin that they said was queen. Only thing that was ok was the bed was compfy and maids were awesome. But over worked. The Elevator went down we were on the 5th floor and they sent 2 small women to bring mine and my husbands big heavy suitcases down. My husband had a bad knee and felt horrible the lady's were smaller then him and had to do this.

    « A terrible hotel »

This is a terrible BW hotel I stayed so far. The reception is impolite and the hotel breakfast room also terrible. I saw a lot of bad review about this hotel before I book, because it is close to my working place, and I just need stay only one night, so I decided to try luck. The hotel room is old and dim, this is not a big issue. The breakfast room has no hot water or cold room to supply except breakfast time, I thought this is ok. But for breakfast, you have to line up and wait for 25 to 30 minutes to get food, you even need spent 20 minutes to get hot water to make a tea, even my office hot water machine is fast than this hotel one. Not recommended for anyone, do not try luck.

    « Nice Place »

This property has a very nice lobby and had excellent check in service, along with efficient and friendly person that checked us in! There is a pool (small sized) right when you walk in to the the hotel so be prepared to walk from your room to the front lobby when you plan to swim. The free continental breakfast had one of the best fruit sauce with whipped cream that I've had at these free breakfasts. You could put this on the french toast and/or pancakes that they offered. Not much selection if you are a tea drinker but the orange juice was freshly squeezed and very good! The standard room was very spacious with a Queen bed and fridge with a sitting area and desk area all in the same room. The ceiling had some obvious repairs done which was not appealing but the bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows. I would recommend this hotel to couples and families!

    « More than expected. »

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are clean and average of a typical hotel. This hotel excepts pets, with a fee of $20 per night. Being that our little dog is a part of our family, we truly appreciate pet friendly hotels. Great stay, great price.

« It is good value for the price »

PROS: The lobby and rooms have a clean modern metallic look that I personally enjoyed. The location is excellent on the west side of Edmonton. I've seen reviews of people complaining the rooms are too worn, but I stay in many hotels, and this was above average as far as upkeep goes. CONS: The swimming pool was ice cold and there is no hot tub to warm up in, we didn't stay more than 5 minutes in the pool because it was unbearable. The warm continental breakfast was fantastic, one of the best things this hotel had going for it, but they are stopping that service very soon. WARNING: The rooms do not have rug, which is very unusual but I assumed it made housekeeping easier to not have to vacuum and I was indifferent until my son came out of the shower and slipped on the floor, knocking his head against the bed frame. I now prefer only hotel rooms with rug! As long as they keep the price point down low ($82 on Expedia), this hotel will be worth the value. Not worth paying over $100/night for without the free breakfast.

« Great staff and new hotel »

Overall great experience as usual. I recommend all to go as it is newly rennovated and close to Anthony exit. I liked all staff and they do care about their service quality. The pool is now functional.

    « Decent .. but outdated »

The hotel entrance is misleading, it was very nice and looked very modern. But once we got to our room is was very outdated. The room was small & very dark even with all the lights turned on. The windows weren't full windows they were high up and seemed small. So if there was a fire it would be difficult for someone out of shape to get out or if someone was even slightly overweight. The bathroom was old and gross, toilet seat looked disgusting. When the ppl next to us would open their room door it seemed like they were opening ours. Very loud.. but the staff were nice.

« Newly renovated and beautiful. »

We were upgraded to a king sized room for $10 extra and wow was it ever worth the $. Total for this room including taxes was $98. We have stayed there before and always had really pleasant front desk staff and this time was no exception. The young lady was so pleasant and friendly with a big smile.

    5
    « Great stay »

Older hotel re-done. Rooms were great and clean, bed were comfy and the front desk staff were simply outstanding. We arrived late but they were able to accommodate us and we ended up taking two rooms. Both rooms were clean, and had new bedding and towel. Not a luxury hotel, but it was very clean and for the price very nice.

    « EXCELLENT FRONT DESK »

I just had a little problem when i did my reservation and i admit that it was my fault. Good thing that Kathreen was there to help me and she did an excellent job. Thanks for your help. Both the front desk are helpful Kathreen and Sheriff. Keep it up...two thumbs up. For sure i will be back in you hotel.

    « Strong Value »

I have frequented this hotel over the years as I find the location perfect, it was noticeably dated in recent visits. I booked a single night stay last minute, for a discounted price via Trip Advisor, we arrived and the lobby/check in area had been completely renovated, the front desk staff as per usual, were friendly, courteous and efficient. We knew the elevator was out as per their website ahead of time, upon check in we were offered a renovated room where the elevator was down for repairs, but the room was located on the second floor, so we accepted this, it worked out great it was the fourth room on the second floor, so elevator or not, was irrelevant. The hallways and guest room were renovated and was a decent job, a few minor details would certainly make this the plus rated property it can be. The room was clean and quiet, linens fresh, bed comfortable, hot water was hot and plentiful, we encountered no issues, the free hot breakfast was warm, fresh and tasty, a great start to anyone's day, there were several folks working diligently to keep items stocked and patrons fed. We will continue to frequent this Best Western.

« This hotel is priced right, easy to drive to, easy to get to West Edmonton Mall by vehicle. Great breakfast. Has pool »

I booked this hotel on Booking.com and the price is excellent value. This hotel has been slowly updating and renovating. I like this hotel it is easy to find and drive to and from. Breakfast was great.

    4
    « A Location Worth Considering »

Accessible location. Proximity to West Edmonton Mall and restaurants locally. Notable improvements in appearance and cleanliness since recent renovations. In-house breakfast a vast improvement. Bathroom sink area outside of the actual toilet / tub-shower room is a positive feature.

« Not up to date on reno's »

We went in and found out the hotel elevator was broken and our room was going to be on 5th floor...Really, not happening... Front desk extremely kind and helpful, and that is the only reason we stayed. We did get a room on 3rd floor. Room very nice, upgraded. But worried if seniors had booked, what did they do... walk up the stairs too. Sad how you are not informed of such important details. After a three hour drive, surprises are not a good thing...

« Convenient, Quiet, Excellent Breakfast »

Convenient stay after a late arrival at Edmonton airport before heading to Jasper and the Canadian Rockies. The hotel was completing a renovation at the time of our stay but that had no effect on our stay. Hotel breakfast was excellent. Good value for the price. An above average Best Western.

    4
    « Decent place »

Nice hotel, good service. Nice rooms and decent Beds The pool was closed for work which we weren't informed of but would have been nice to know. All and all good stay other than that. The free breakfast was delicious and a nice touch.

« Newly Renovated and Great! »

have stayed here a number of times over the years and was very pleased to see all the renos done and how great it is now! This is in great location for West end shopping etc. Staff was great and very accommodating. Newly reno'd room was very nice. Breakfast was very good - great selection and friendly staff

    3
« Affordable stay, friendly staff »

We stayed here for two nights but not in the row as we went to Jasper in between those nights. The lobby was recently renovated and looks nice. The staff was very approachable and friendly. The only issues were both the pool and elevator were out of order. First night was on the first room so having no elevator didn't affect us til the second night where the room was the 2nd floor. It wasn't a bad trek but must have been irritating for those on higher floors. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety. The price was good and location very close to the West Edmonton Mall.

    « BW+ in Edmonton »

My wife and me stayed overnight in BW+ located in Edmonton NW area. The front desk service, newly renovated room, and hot breakfast were very good. Swimming pool and elevator were temporarily not operating due to ongoing renovation. The wifi was bad. Although connected, we were not able to surf the web.

    2
    « Disappointing Hotel »

We specifically booked this hotel for the pool - it was out of order, with no notice given. Fine, we get to our room that has a Jacuzzi tub, and bingo! Also out of order. I phoned the front desk and was told 'you only paid for a bed, that's all you get'. Nice customer service. There was exposed electrical in the room, doors banging outside our room so it was quite loud, and both elevators were out of order, which was not nice for people having to carry their own luggage up five flights of stairs. Breakfast seemed decent with lots on offer but tasted terrible. The breakfast lady was the only person there who was even slightly friendly. Very disappointing experience, would not go back - I expect much more from a Best Western Hotel.

« 2 Star Hotel, 5 Star AC Fan, Bizarre Room, Stay Somewhere else. »

First off, the service/staff is really great...very professional and friendly, so nothing in this review is negative towards them. We visited for a romantic birthday staycation. We stayed for a couple of nights, that I booked via expiring (grrr) airmiles. The room that they put us in had 2 beds...they were probably queens, but felt small. The room was on the main floor, and was the strangest configuration that I've ever seen...I believe that the room had been renovated, but backwards somehow. You could see that there had at one time been some sort of fixtures on the wall opposite the beds...but that had been removed. There was a beaten up desk, a chair that was honestly something you'd find at a dumpster (not exaggerating that this chair was basically plywood in the seat without padding) and a beaten up armchair. The TV, which thankfully was fine, was sitting on a rickety (read, don't attempt to move) walmart quality end table that could barely handle it's weight, at the foot of the bed. There were silver cables (the thick ones that house power) running along the top of the ceiling...the carpet was dirty and really funky along the ac unity. One of the beds was actually broken...if you sat on the edge, you could hear the wood on wood cracking sound. The bathroom was fine...but the strange U shape of the room was bizarre. I'm very curious about why we received this particular room...was it due to using airmiles? I did notice, whilst walking to the room, that other rooms looked perfectly normal. *shrug* The bed (not the broken one) was comfy...the sheets had a couple of stains, but nothing too major. The fan in the AC was actually really great. I wouldn't stay there again in a million years...again, the staff was quite friendly, but I question the room choice...this was booked for weeks, so I really wonder if this room was the "stick it to the airmiles people" room. Easily one of the worst rooms I've ever stayed in, in Canada.

    « BW Westwood »

This s an older hotel that is in the process of being updated. The lobby/arrival area is really nice and redone - but the rooms are the old style rooms they have tried to update. Not really sure that they hit the mark. The location is good if you need to work on the west side of Edmonton but is quite a way away from the downtown area. Location is very quite, though. Didn't find much for amenities near the hotel. There is a small family owned restuarant about half a block from the hotel with a sports bar that serves pretty good food. For anything else you would need to drive to the location.

« Terribly disappointed with our stay »

Booked a king size bed for two nights. Elevator was broken, so put in a queen room, because cannot get to fourth and fifth floor where the king rooms are.Was told price was the same but when I checked the website, I had to asked the front desk manager to adjust the price lower per room. The pool area was under so not accessible. Our room smelled of fresh paint but it was overwhelming and when I tried to air the room out, there was no screen on the window. The heater/ air conditioner was not functioning very well.It did not give out much air in fan mode either. Such an odd thing, but the toilet seat lid didn't stay up, so it was leaning against you as you sat on the toilet. I asked the housekeeper, and she said that is the way they are. My husband let the hotel know we were arriving on my birthday, and had hoped something special would have been done. Nothing was and when approached the next day, we were told sorry, the manager was off that day. The hot breakfast was nice, decent variety.Pleasant and efficient staff in breakfast room When we looked threw the room to figure out distance to the west Edmonton mall as an attraction, and suggested restaurants around, the hotel " book" was not in the room. When we inquired about it at the desk, we were told new ones were being done. That didn't help us then. Overall, after many stays at Best Westerns in Canada and the USA! This was the worst.

    « Trip re function »

Hotel elevator not working and had to walk up 4 flights of stairs with luggage. The room was good but would have expected them to have made arrangement to get the elevator fixed but the said couldn't find anyone. We found this strange for as size of the city.

    « Great Stay! »

After reading some of the reviews on here, was a little hesitant. But after spending 4 nights here the first part of September, we had no complaints at all. We stayed in a double Queen room, that was a pet room. The beds were super comfortable and the room was very large. We found the Breakfast to be quite good, with the selections of eggs, bacon, sausages.french toast, and pancakes. Along with all the cold selections. Would have been nice if there was a Hot Tub in the pool area. Our friends also stayed at the same time in a King Suite in the Tower. They were very impressed with their room. Will be staying here again.

    2
    « Family vacation »

Clean room, small beds for queen size, the bathroom door didnt shut properly, cheap service, swimming pool bathroom was out of order, no hotel service booklet in room to tell u what they offered or surrounding restaurants. Very goood complimentary breakfast.

« Great stay in Edmonton »

This was our first time in Edmonton. We chose this hotel to be close to the West Edmonton Mall. This facility did not disappoint. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the facility along with the location. There seems to be a full facility especially on weekends. If you would decide to stay on a weekend, expect to take your breakfast to your room. There is not enough space. That was not a problem for us.

    4
    « BUSINESS TRIP »

I was in Edmonton for Business. The staff and hotel were very accommodating to my needs during my week stay. Hotel will be great once all renovations are complete. The rooms were clean and quiet. Location was good, for both shopping and resturants

    1
    « Poor, smelly room »

Our hotel room was smelly, like stale smoke. The paint was peeling off of the doors. Breakfast was definitely sub par. Dirty carpet, dirty pull out bed. Out dated room. I will not be staying at this hotel ever again.

    3
    « Average at best »

Stayed here over the long weekend in August and the hotel has many issues. The elevator wasn't working for the 3 nights that we stayed there. Normally not a big deal but is a pain to drag luggage up stairs and down a long winding hallway to our room. The room was ok as it had been recently renovated but was awkward in set up. No place to sit down in the room except on the beds and there was a huge two inch gap on the main doorway that let in lots of noise and light from the hallway. The pool and breakfast area were ridiculously tiny for the size of the hotel. Not sure how this hotel is a Best Western Plus though the only positive side was the price wasn't too bad.

    « Loved it All »

This was better than expected. Everything was clean and new. Check in was fast and friendly, Stayed 2 nights and everthing was great. I think that going to breakfast early would be a great idea because it go really buisy latter on but I have never seen a better breakfast staff. They were even finding tables for people and were so helpful. Breakfast food was great. I only wish the swimming pool was a bit bigger but the pool was still good. I will be going back to this hoetl in a couple of months.

    « August 18, 19, & 20, 2016 »

The bathtub was way too narrow for larger (fat) folks and too short with the slanted back. The small tub is reason enough for us to not return to this hotel! Room's office chair was too narrow with side arms - the hotel could not replace it with a larger or one without side arms. Breakfast chairs are too narrow with side arms. The 2 breakfast seating areas were way too small for this size of hotel! A/C units are smaller than the larger ones found in Holiday Inn Express, etc. hotels. It was only about 77 F. during our stay, but based on prev. bad experiences at Sandman hotels with the smaller a/c units, we don't stay at these kind of hotels that have the smaller a/c units, from May through October! The Shower head was nice, toilet was ADA height and had elongated seat - nice! Room décor was nice, 2 queen beds nice, sink outside of bathroom nice, small fridge and the free hot breakfast buffet were appreciated.

    5
    « Great Stay! »

The room was nice and well maintained. We stayed here 3 nights because of the great location near the West Edmonton Mall. Which by the way, is the nicest mall I have ever seen. For the best start walk in through entrance 50. Anyways, back to the hotel. The breakfast was adequate and never felt crowded. The price was good also. All around amazing stay.

    5
    « Great Stay »

This is my second stay at this location in the past year. The hotel has been undergoing renovations that are making this an outstanding place to stay. From the professional staff and the well appointed rooms you won't be disappointed. I will definitely be back.

    3
« Passable with room for improvement »

We stayed for 4 nights here while in Edmonton. Picked it for the location close to West Edmonton Mall. The room was ok, but we were put on the wing where renovation was still to be completed (even though the note says should be completed a few months earlier). Apparently they had changed the carpet in the hallway but whoever chose it should be fired! It was so ugly it looks old. The room didn't get cleaned up until quite late in the day. The pool was ok. Got it all to ourselves in the afternoon. Breakfast was ok but the eating area doesn't have enough air cond and was very hot. It can be very crowded if you don't show up early. Overall a bit disappointed for a Best Western.

    4
« Great place to stay »

We stayed here twice in July and both times were great! The staff at the front desk were kind and helpful and the woman taking care of the breakfast was wonderful! The food was ok, although their egg patty things were kind of gross. It was busy in the mornings so we sometimes had to wait for things to be replaced, but wasn't a problem. My kids enjoyed the pool and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We found the hotel nice and quiet at night.

    2
« Definitely not the Best Western »

Good - Large parking lot. Bad - almost everything else. Long delay at check in, even without a line up. Pool was not as advertised. Breakfast was okay, very busy, but the staff tried very hard to keep up with demand. Lounge was a cave; with staff appropriate for a hole.

    « Not what I expected »

We just went to Best Western Invermere last month and Our stay was fantastic so coming here tonight at Edmonton , we choose Best Western Westwood Inn and we got 2 rooms.. The lobby was great but the room need TLC as the seats have tears and too old.. I am dissappointed ??because we have a baby and it seemed that the bedding covers were not properly put on- like somebody just lied in here.. Aircondition is????????????...The vacuum when we get in is in front of the other room that my parents in law occupied????????????.. The ice dispencer is out of order in 2nd and 3rd floor..????????????????we are now here on the 3rd floor.. And beside ice dispencer there is a door for storage that is open and looks messy.. I saw 2 used glasses beside the beddings thats in there and the cart with 2 bags ful of garbage??It will be nice to just close that door (please).??...The carpet here upstairs looks dirty and old.. The main lobby looks nice.. Swimming pool is small but complimentary towel is ????.. Staff was ok but not smiling.. They were fine but at least a little smile so guests may feel that they are welcome.. Im not sure if i will book here again, I hope they put us in a newly renovated ones specially we have kids and old ones.. I will check the breakfast tomorrow.. I am hoping that breakfast will be great tomorrow... Aug.20,2016

    « One night stay »

Checkin staff was pleasant. Got an upgraded room with a phone call moments after arriving in the room asking if everything was in order. Fairly nice room. Only negative is the remote didn't work and over crowding at breakfast. Would stay there again

    « Fantastic Stay! »

I stayed here for business as I was working just north of Edmonton. I was a little hesitant to book this hotel based on some of the reviews but I really enjoyed my stay! The outside is deceiving and the entrance into the lobby is a bit odd but my room was newly renovated and it was a great size. The only thing I came across that could use some TLC is the elevator however it operates just fine, just looks old. Back to my room, the temperature control was great and it was so quiet. I could hear my neighbours in the hallway but I couldn't hear them from my room which was wonderful. The breakfast looked great however the room downstairs was too small and it was packed in there so I didn't check it out. My internet worked really well and the customer service at this location was great. No complaints and by the sounds of it, as long as your room is one of the renovated ones, you should be good to go! Also the price for how close it is to West Ed is fantastic. Maybe it will increase once the renovations are done but as of right now it's really reasonable.

    « Nice Hotel »

Very nice Hotel to to stay but watch out for House Keeping as it sucks. Staffs are very friendly and always eager to help. the Breakfast is one of the best and always hot meals to serve. Front desk staff are very friendly and always smile and say hi when you pass by. Again watch out for House Keeping to clean your rooms.

    « Family Trip »

This Best Western is quite good. Situated in a good location, recent renovations made to hotel. Very good service provided by staff. The morning breakfasts were fantastic and well above our expectations! The only question we had was the one and only elevator which was very slow. Other than this we were very satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend this Best Western hotel.

    4
« Good pet friendly hotel »

Great location close to West Edmonton mall with easy access off Stony Plain Road. Lobby upgrades look great. Didn't use the pool but it look inviting. Breakfast selection was good and we certainly got enough to eat.

easy to find and great location near to family entertainments within good quality of service and overall appearance. Recommended to a family trip in term of prices for even longer stay, rooms interior, including pool and gym.

« Great Place To Stay »

This hotel has been renovated and the room was great. The free breakfast was very good. Lots of hot food items as well as cereals and porridge. The hotel is only a 5 minute drive north of West Edmonton Mall. It is also walkable to get to the mall.

    3
« Good value and location »

Heard that the hotel was newly renovated, but disappointed to find that both of our rooms were not. Dusty air conditioner and stained bath tub, but everything else in working order. Standard 2-Queen-bed room was spacious and comes with a double sofa bed. Nice buffet breakfast with hot items (French toasts, pancakes, omelettes, bacon, hot oatmeal, etc.). Located 8 minutes from West Edmonton Mall and 12 minutes from Telus World of Science.

    4
    « 2 night stay - single traveller »

Checked in for two nights. Reception newly renovated and looking good. Room had recently been decorated and was nice and a really good size. Lift and corridors don't meet the standard of reception. Lack of a restaurant is a disadvantage as it is a bit out of town. Breakfast was good but very busy. Easy to get to from the airport and only took about 30 minutes. Advertised "Dry Cleaning" but really it is a self service laundry. WIFI really consistent. Will be staying again in a few days. A good hotel for a business trip provided that you have a car

    4
« good location for some »

Located near many restaurants; West Ed Mall if that's your thing; a bit far from down town (20 min drive) but easy enough drive; if you like to walk or run not much interesting terrain nearby - somewhat industrial. Price was very good though. Room a bit warm even though AC but it couldn't quite match the heat of the sun.

    4
    « Nice Hotel »

We stayed July 24-27. Hotel/rooms are very clean. Rooms are kind of small, but sufficient. The pool seemed clean and was salt water. Breakfast was mediocre, but nevertheless, FREE!!! We'd recommend this hotel if you don't have 5 star expectations.

    4
    « Good value »

This is a good hotel close to West Edmonton Mall. The continental breakfast was great and had a lot of options. The room was clean and the beds are comfortable. The only negative was there weren't enough towels in the pool area and when we asked the front desk they told us to use our room towels instead of getting more brought to the pool.

  • 2
    « Elevator not working & renovations on-going »

Elevator is not working and not safe, (door on level sticks open) exposing wires and hazards to all. There was a very long hair on top of the extra pillow in the drawer, the renovations that say on sign to be competed by March, are still nowhere near complete, the lineup at breakfast can be eliminated if the system was evaluated and organized (put toaster, and juice, coffee machine on a separate table) too many guest discouraged with the very SLOW move line, because all are waiting for others to toast bread? - I can send you photos of the broken elevator, and the Hair on the pillow, and renovations.. this will be a good hotel in another 4 to 8 months. - when renovations complete and elevator upgraded.

    4
« Great location within 10 minutes drive to West Ed Mall »

This hotel has had renovations done to it. Breakfast is satisfactory. Within a 10 minute drive to West Edmonton Mall (WEM). Pool is small but nice. Fairly quiet hotel and would recommend to family travel. This hotel offers discounted WEM waterpark and galaxyland passes.

« Will be back, wonderful stay. »

Although this Hotel is under some reno's, could not really tell by the main desk or the rooms. Once they have everything completed, I am sure they will get top reviews because the way the staff behaves, it shows they enjoys working there. It made our stay very pleasant. The room had very comfortable beds, breakfast was what Best Western Plus is all about &Tina made it all the more enjoyable, Thanks!

    « Great stay!!! »

Men and my mother have stayed here many times and for years. Almost every time we visit we stay at this hotel. They have great staff, very friendly. A nice pool also a great breakfast in the mornings! Sadly no restaurant anymore as they just renovated the place. Great rooms specially since the reno. And it's like a 5min drive to West Edmonton Mall which is great!!! I highly recommend staying here!! ??

    « Great stay »

When booked we were told they were under renos and they would put us in the renovated tower room. We were traveling with my sister in law and her family and requested rooms next to each other. When checking in everything went smooth and we were able to get rooms right next to each other in the newly renovated rooms. I had never seen the old rooms but the new ones were nice. The great rate we received also included a free hot breakfast. The breakfast ladies were amazing and worked so hard to keep up with the crowds. All in all we had a great experience and would stay again because it was just a quick short drive to the West Edmonton Mall.

« Friendly and courteous staff »

I attend to my appointment and will not be in the hotel by 2pm, 3 hours after check out time. I was worried my family has to wait for me in the lobby. The friendly staff (Kris) suggested kids can spend time in the pool and offered to use the room till 2pm without extra cost. My kids enjoyed their complimentary hot breakfast, lots of choices. Service is great!! Good value for the money. good location, very near WEM and Panda chinnese fast food. Great people, comfortable place to stay ;)

« Decent hotel for the price »

I had a nice and pleasant stay at this hotel. Most of the staff was friendly, and the hotel itself was clean. The room which I had was upgraded to a King by the hotel and it was very spacious and comfortable. I was on the top floor so it was super quiet and although parts of the hotel were dated looking, the rooms themselves were nicely furnished. The location is only a 15 minute drive from West Edmonton Mall and was in a pretty good location if you want to remain in shopping/restaurant district. The fitness room and pool were both super tiny and with a big window in the fitness room anyone was able to walk by and stare. No privacy. The breakfast in the morning was okay. Not great but it was free. I would definitely say you get a good nights stay for what you pay and I would return again if I ever find myself in the area again.

« Close to West Edmonton Mall, Clean and Quiet »

This hotel is situated well, very close to the West Edmonton Mall. It is very clean and has great staff. Check in and out was very efficient. Friendly and helpful staff at counter. The hotel is not new - but is clean. Lobby is updated and is spacious.

When you walk in the pool is off to your left in front of the reception deck. The staff was very efficient and we were on are way to the room. The room was clean and enough room to set up a playpen we had brought. The children loved the pool and when we went down for breakfast, was very surprised to find bacon, French toast, cheese omelet, the food was awesome . It was very easy to get to West Edmonton Mall from this hotel. Thank you for the fabulous experience.

friendly staff, hotel said it was under construction but did not notice. Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff was amazing!!! Couple of downfalls (but did not affect our stay): pool was cold and the toilet flowed very slowly.

    « Newly Renovated Comfortable & Clean »

Comfortable beds, good selecrion for breakfast. Was quiet and rooms and whole hotel seem to be newly renovated. The only thing that isnt great is the pool it is very small, but my daughter enjoyed it. Staff were very friendly.

« Way below average for a plus hotel »

The lobby looks nice, and the bed was comfortable. The room badly needs updating, the carpeting looked dirty, I wouldn't walk in my bare feet. The bathroom had been updated but whoever put in the tub put it so it is slightly slanted out and the water pours off the side of the tub onto the floor. The towels were not clean and when I called the desk they send new ones that had just as many stains as the old ones, I would say new towels are in order. The air conditioner was extremely noisy. Also I have mobility issues and the handicapped door didn't work. Both the restaurant and the pool were closed, which was a disappointment. When my husband complained in the morning, along with two other guest that were also complaining, the response was to take less than 10 dollars off the bill. I feel a coupon for a free night at BW or a bunch of BW points would have been more appropriate.

« Another Great Stay even during renovations »

This is my hotel of choice when I stay in Edmonton for a couple of reasons. the people are extremely nice and helpful. The rooms are large and newly renovated or about to be. The pricing is excellent. I have stayed at this location in the neighbourhood of 50+ stays over the last 2 years. I have seen the renovations happen with the new ownership and can't wait to see the finished product. The pool is very nice and the fitness centre has a new look. If you have been here before but it has been awhile you will be pleasantly surprised at the new look. Keep up the great work Westwood Inn.

    « Not what I was expecting. »

I have been to this hotel twice. The first time was excellent. Clean room, comfy bed and I told everyone I know about the hotel - great location to the mall. However, the last time I stayed there will be my last time. I checked in late (around midnight) because I was driving through to BC and the front desk agent offered me a king room (I had requested it) but I would have to pay extra for it. Since I was leaving very early I declined. When we got to the room, I was disgusted. It was the last room before the construction zone, the floors were uneven, there were stains everywhere but since we were only going to be there a couple hours we decided just to stay there. Upon checking out - the same agent who checked us in, also checked us out I was told that I would have to pay a higher rate than I was originally booked for because I had changed my reservation to arrive a day earlier - I had phoned the front desk before I arrived to see if this would be an issue and he said it wouldn't be and I would get the same price. The agent who checked us out said he couldn't do anything and I would have to call the manager in a couple hours. I told him it would be hard for me to call him because I was travelling through the mountains with limited service so I sent him an email instead. I have not received a response to this day - I stayed there in October! I would only recommend this hotel as a last resort IF you can be guaranteed a new room and the price you were quoted.

    « Average Hotel »

We stayed at this hotel for two nights for a basketball tournament. The hotel wasn't prepared for the influx of people checking in early. That being said, the front desk people, especially, Sheriff, did a wonderful job of speeding up registration and assignment of rooms. He was very patient and the smile never left his face despite the grumblings of guests. Breakfast was fine, although they served almost the same hot food for two mornings we were there. Our room was spacious and clean but we were in the new building though. This is an average hotel. I wouldn't mind going back here to stay.

We been booked to the Best Western hotel in Stony Plain. But we confused that there is 2 Best Western hotel in Stony Plain area. The one we looking for is the one near in West Edmonton Mall. So, technically we booked the one that is far away from the WEM. Frustrated that we booked the wrong one, we try our luck to stop by BWH in Westwood Inn if they can booked us instead. To our surprise, the very friendly and awesome Jena the hotel receptionist do her all best to accommodate us. It was fantastic service. To make the story short, we stay to the hotel that we really wants to stay. Kudos to Jena for the amazing and excellent service =))))

This hotel is going through a makeover. Hard to tell where the old and new are in some cases. the room it's self was ok layout was a little different but we had two beds and a fold out couch. Great for our family of 5. The doors to the rooms are very thick and great for blocking out the average sounds. The downside of heavy doors is when people are opening and closing lots very loud which was an issue for us. Sports teams where staying here and the kids were in and out of the rooms lots.

« Poor hotel, do not recommend! »

Was not happy with this hotel at all. When I booked our room initially we only needed one and then I realized I needed two, then I phoned the hotel to book another room and this seemed to be a difficult concept for the person I was talking too. Check in and check out was a disaster and they gave one of my rooms away when we got there, Thank god I had my email receipt, Phone never worked in room and only cleaned room once during our stay. Also our room keys never worked and always had to be reprogrammed, breakfast was very average and never had seating.Overall I would not recommend this hotel it was nothing but a pain from the day I booked with this hotel.

    « reno »

Even though this hotel is under renovations I felt the service was not up to usual standards. We ran out of items such as cups, coffee, Kleenex and low on toilet paper. The ramp for handicapped is almost impossible to navigate the luggage ramp around

    « Not a great stay »

Booked this hotel through a name your price website and as with most of those types of sites the room you get at the hotel is not selected from their premium rooms. I can understand that as you are getting a discounted rate. The general look of the place is sloppy. The room that we got was as far from the front desk as you could get and still be inside the hotel and there was a dog barking in a room 2 doors down from us. We unpacked our bags and went for supper. When we returned the room keys would not work. I then returned to the front desk 5 separate times to get new keys. The last trip one of the THREE keys they gave me worked. The windows were filthy and covered with paint, the tv remote worked when it wanted to, the toilet paper dispenser was barely hanging on the wall, the toilet lid would not stay up, the elevator was out of order so we had to use the filthy staircase and the place was generally a mess. Spend your money elsewhere.

    2
« Dirty rooms with barking dogs »

Room cleanliness was poor until we complained. However when dogs left unattended in rooms were reported, the staff said that there was nothing they could do as the guests were just leaving the dogs in the room while they went out for hours. Continuous barking could not be stopped.

    « Amazing »

I stayed there during Christmas and everything was impeachable. The staff was really well trained, the room was really comfortable and the price was fair. I recommended for everyone who wants a good night of sleep, paying a good price for it.

    2
« Poor renovations and front desk staff along with hidden fees »

I made the mistake of staying at this Best Western in April and will not stay there again. They charge an environmental fee, which is close to 5% of the room rate which is not mentioned until it shows up on your bill when you check out. The renovations are very poorly done. The faucet on the shower almost falls off the wall what you go to turn it on. The toilet seat does not stay up because the toilets they purchased are too large for the area they installed them in. The elevator make a terrible rubbing noise every time it passes as certain point making you question if it is safe. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. There are lots of good places to stay within 2 blocks of this hotel that provide good value for the money that you spend and the staff is happy to greet you.

    « Renovations and »

Posted sign renovating but really needs everywhere (hallways, carpet, etc.) and inside rooms. Not a new hotel. 2 Buildings attached to main lobby. Was in smaller 3 floor building. One small elevator. Fast when working. Stuck once. Took stairs. Really pet friendly - lots of dogs. Very very bad Internet. Sometimes worked sometimes not. After complained magically worked...for a while. Plus side - room 2 queen. Very roomy . Surprised double sofa bed. Large washroom. Door separate tub and toilet from sink and mirror. Room adequate for our family of 4 with 2 large dogs. Just never mind about the decor and carpet - very old.

« Don't Stay here. worst Best Western »

I cannot in all conscience give this hotel even the simplest 1 point out of 5, If I could I would give it a minus one. Best Western hotels have "stand-fard" "plus" and "premium". they should add a new one as "minus" for this hotel. Staff were poorly trained. I had a light bulb out in the room and they said they would move me to another room as they did not have an engineer on staff in the evening", a 4 wheeled luggage carrier had a flat which I pointed out to them, and it still was not repaired or taken out of service two days later when we were leaving (we only stayed because it was pre-paid. Our room was supposedly refurbished, but the wall paper was over broken sheet rock, hot water in sink did not work. spout in tub came off the pipe, (too many to list) A letter has been sent to Canada Corporate office with full details. oh, also not ADA compliant (they say no such thing in Canada?) ramp for wheel chair and luggage carrier was very tight and difficult to maneuver. Will not stay there again

We would stay there again and would recommend to others.complimentary breakfast was average but, it helped to start the day.

    « Under Reno's »

I've stayed at a lot of Best Westerns but this is by far the worst. Granted they are under going Reno's still poor quality in finished rooms. Terrible small pool, smokers right outside lobby door, fitness not well set up and very dated.

    « Never again »

For the price and apparent company recommendation I was 100% disappointed. Cleanliness of the room was sub par with wrinkled sheets and objects on the carpet like coins and beads (obviously not vacuumed). The building looks as if it had started a Reno 8 years ago and ran out of money. Room was dilapidated and worn. Smelled of stale smoke. Door lock was unreliable for entry (had to get let into my room by a staff member after 3 attempts to enter on my own) as were doors to the tower I was staying in. Had to only get into hotel through front entrance. Walls poorly insulated meaning easy to hear hallway noise and other rooms. I would not recommend staying here. Not sure what makes it a "plus".

    « Cranky manager »

I woke up to find that the heat in my room was not working. When checked out and booked my stay for the next week later told them about the problem. They apologized, and gave me the managers card and said to remind them when I checked in next time and they would make it right. So when I came back the next week I did just that. The manager came out of her office and was very aggressive from the start she accused me of just trying to get a free room. I informed her that I was her on business and I was not personally paying for my room anyway. But did say that I felt heat in aromas a basic expectation. I cancelled my stay and went to another hotel

    « Watch your bill »

We stayed several nights at this hotel...both for business and a medical appt. One night was to attend a workshop sponsored by my place of employment. The employer pays travel expenses. After the first night, we asked for a hair dryer and were told by the Front Desk Clerk that we could get a free upgrade, to a nicer room. We switched rooms. On reviewing my credit card, I saw that there were 4 different charges on my credit card....for which I had not received receipts! I was charged the higher rate for the "FREE" upgrade. I was also charged for the one night that was necessary for the workshop, as when we checked out, the desk clerk had "no record of employer's credit card." Upon calling the hotel, I learned that one night had been paid by both the employer and myself! I asked to be emailed receipts for all charges...however all I received was an email showing a refund to my card for the one night. The fellow I spoke to on the phone could NOT do simple Math. He tried to justify the higher rate by saying it was environmental fees. But all he had to do was divide the one number by two, and see that the nightly rate was indeed higher than other nights. Wasted so much time on the phone. Never staying there again!

« Not great - and charged twice! »

This hotel is undergoing significant renovations, which we knew about when we booked. The only reason I was willing to consider the hotel despite all of the terrible reviews was that we got a great deal through Priceline (we thought, more on that later). The areas of the hotel that have not been renovated are in serious disrepair. I asked to be in the renovated area which the hotel kindly accommodated. The room was fine. The beds were decent and there was a lot of space. There was unfortunately a huge gap under the door, which we would block with a pillow overnight. Here is the kicker - I was charged twice for the room. Having booked in January through Priceline, my account was paid in full and I have the credit card statement to prove it. Then after receiving my statement for April, I noticed that the hotel charged the card they had on file for incidentals the entire sum again, the day after we checked out. When I called to inquire, I was informed that Priceline had not provided them with all of the necessary information. Umm...not my problem. They decided to simply charge my card the entire sum again, resulting in my paying both Priceline and the hotel. After insisting that this be resolved immediately, I was assured that they would call Priceline as soon as we were off the phone and they would call me back prior to the end of the night. Well it is 9:30 PM Alberta time. No call back. How unprofessional.

I would say we enjoyed the room and the breakfast. Elevator was very noisy and scary Kids were running around the lobby playing hide and seek and the staff did or said nothing to stop them as people were arriving to check in. We had to wait over 45 minutes for the desk clerk to find housekeeping to get our room.

« Not up to BW Plus Standard »

As a BW Rewards member, I often stay at BWs. They're usually reliable and reasonable. This one doesn't deserve the "Plus" designation and falls short of even the regular standards. There are extensive renovations going on. The restaurant was closed. For my first night, I was given one of the rooms in the older section - very dated and shabby. Floor was freezing cold even with the heat cranked up, bed was hard, bedding tissue-thin. The window had a dollar-store plastic roller blind. I was too exhausted after a long drive to do anything about it that night. After complaining in the morning I was given an "upgraded" room, which was much better except for barely-warm enough shower temperature in the morning. Hot breakfast was OK, not great, but OK. Kitchen staff were nice. Front desk staff were just about OK, except for repeating that my upgrade was "at no charge" twice, which seemed a bit grudging. One was a bit terse on the phone with another customer, in public earshot. I'd suggest a bit more training in real customer service might be in order. Overall, I'd suggest that there are better options in the area.

Adequate hotel. beds were comfy, room good. internet service didn't work for me. Hotel under renovations. Stairwell was being painted with drop cloths on stairs made it dangerous. No signage to state this. Bathroom tap was loose but functional.

« Not what you would expect »

Demand a price reduction during the renovation or skip it. Get a room on a lower floor because the elevator is ready to fall apart and may strand you or worse. You want to be able to take the stairs. The main floor and who knows what else is under renovations and does not look anything like a hotel lobby. Don't brush up against anything if you like your clothing.

The hotel was undergoing renovations and my husband wasn't very pleased with some of the things left behind from the contractors. When we got to the hotel it was full of people and we were confused as to why and then we were told that when check in meant 4 o'clock it they meant it. I personally think that's a bit crazy because we never had a problem going to a hotel before check in time.

I travelled in 2014 but I could not select that date. I got Athletes foot from using the tub, I stayed on the 6th floor in 6109 or 6017 and there was black mold in the ledge of the window which was leaking water. Half the time they would not honor their coupon program they have which gives you $5.00 off the restaurant if you dont get housekeeping. The sheets on my bed had blood on them and because I got a breakfast coupon they refused to change my bloody sheets. They have bugs all over their rooms. THIS HOTEL NEEDS TO BE CONDEMED!! It was difficult to get hand towels and face cloths , we were 4 people in the room when I ask for face cloths from the cleaning staff they handed me one, I then explained the number of people in the room and she handed me one more but no hand towels. « Overall Great Experience »

This hotel is in a very convenient area, there is a lot of stores close by if you aren't familiar with the area, and is very close to the mall as well. The staff was great and the hotel was very clean and nice, the only concern is the noise was pretty loud on the second night as there were people partying across the hall. I have this at every hotel though, and the next morning there was a lot of screaming going on from parents to their children. Otherwise, a great experience and the staff was very helpful.

« Under renovation but pleasant »

The main thing I took from this hotel was the staff are very friendly and easy to deal with. As mentioned in my title, the hotel is under renovation but that didn't affect our stay. The room was super spacious and comfortable although slightly run down so you could see why they are renovating. We booked 2 rooms but for some reason they gave us one room on level 2 and the other on level 3. Not a big deal but would have been nice to be closer together. Nonetheless we enjoyed our stay, particularly the staff, size of the room, the breakfast and close proximity to West Edmonton Mall. We will stay again.

    « Don't Stay Here »

Hotels.com says this is a three star hotel, this place needs a huge renovation to become a two star hotel. It's old and out dated, the beds are uncomfortable, the wifi is spotty, the pool is tiny and for some reason is only separated from the lobby by a glass wall. I don't think the carpets have ever been replaced. There are renovations going on here right now but we could look past those if this was a three star hotel as promised. This place is a dump. They charged $150/night to us, this place is worth about $80/night.

We had our wedding here in December 2015. Although the hotel was under renovations, there were some hiccups with getting renovated rooms for our guests. The staff and sales manager did everything in there power to accommodate our guests. The rooms were old but clean. There was also free breakfast. I can't say enough about the sales manager ( Mandeep) he was awesome and even served champagne at our wedding. Also sheriffe at the front desk and the catering was exceptional, all guests raved at how good the food was and also at a reasonable price. The staff was very accommodating as best they could under the renovations, which I'm sure did not make there job easy. The hotel was clean and I would recommend any event at this hotel.

When I called to make a reservation they never mention it was under reno's and the website did not mention it either at the time of booking. It was very dirty and uninviting there was a smail pile of dirt and rock in the hall that was never cleaned up the whole time we were there. It was never mention that their Jacuzzi tubs did not work didn't know until we saw a sign on the tub. Upon checking out staff couldn't get their printer to work so I was told it would be emailed to me still have not seen it. Had a dumpster for a view. Indoor pool was closed.

    « Felt ripped off »

I have stayed in this hotel in the past but currently this hotel is under renovations. The first room that they gave me wreaked of stale smoke, so I asked for a new room. Second room was a bit better but I am thinking renovation needs to be done all over. This hotel looks and smells like it needs a lot of tlc. I paid $159 for the room and the free breakfast was terrible. I would look further before booking this hotel.

    « Extremely Disappointed »

This hotel is under construction which can be acceptable if they would advertise this when booking. However, most disappointing is the disorganization of the staff...lost reservations, broken equipment in the rooms, disrespectful employees, etc.

    « Not good »

Under construction. Website should of said that. We gave up BW Plus Sherwood Park, which was awesome, to be in this one closest to West Edmonton Mall. The room was old. Alot of the receptacles didn't work. Sink drained slow. Staff not so friendly. We also picked this hotel because it has a restaurant on site. Told after we checked in the restaurant was closed due to construction. Overall, not impressed. Will not recommend to anyone.

« Decent Hotel to stay even if under renovation »

I had reviewed this last July and did not like what I experience the last time. This time I am changing and increasing rating up a notch for the following reasons: (1) The staff does greet clients cheerfully and are really helpful. Even the executives are out on the floor rendering help and apologizing for the major renovation that is taking place. The renovation did not affect my stay - no noise, dust or service disruption. (2) They tear up the "smelly" carpet in the lobby as part of the renovation. (3) Free full hot breakfast of similar level served by marriott resident inn Despite the renovation, the room is clean and neat. The free wireless appear upgraded from my last visit as I literally work from hotel on one day of my 4 days stay with no internet disruption or slowness. Located on Stoney Plain Road, it has excellent parking, access and location as compare to other competing hotels in the area. Price wise you can beat the current pricing offered for the facilities and amenities. This hotel seem to be heading in the right direction with new ownership and investment. Will review again in the next 4-6 months in my next visit to Edmonton

« Nothing PLUS about this Best Western »

This hotel is run down filthy and badly in need of upgrades. I am starting to think this is common for Best Westerns as (at least the ones in Edmonton seem to be terrible. I have stayed at three of them in Edmonton and the only one that seems remotely okay is the one Downtown. As for me I will likely never return to this one or the one by the municipal airport. I have had bad experiences at both of them now. They are going to have to work hard to make it right but somehow I doubt they will bother.

    « Under renovations »

The hotel is under renovations, so the lobby is in shambles, but the staff was friendly, & helpful. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean. Both days we stayed, the free hot breakfast was very good! They need to update the key card system, as we had to get new room keys more than once because ours wouldn't work. The staff did there best with the state of the hotel, but I probably wouldn't stay again, at least until the reno's are complete.

We have stayed at the Best Western a number of times and they have never failed us. The staff is very friendly. The woman that takes care of the continental breakfast is always very friendly and will chat with us. You don't see that very often anymore. If there is ever a problem with anything they will look after it as soon as possible. The breakfast isn't just a muffin and coffee but a full breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausages, pancakes, yougurt, the whole thing. Very good! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!!

« Good stay, close to WEM »

My stay at this hotel was very quick for business, but I appreciated the convenient location of the hotel. It is very close to WEM and an easy drive to get to downtown. The lobby was under renovations during my stay, but overall, this did not impact the quality of services that I received. I would definitely stay here again.

« Tired but good location and friendly staff »

It is what it is. A tired, '70s era hotel with worn carpets and needing some TLC. Good internet and TV so suited my needs at the time. Would not book my family here and would not rush back unless other hotels in area were full. But also I would not drive 15 minutes to another hotel to avoid staying at this location. Rooms were spacious, fridge was cold and staff was friendly. But it is a three out of five facility no matter how good the internet worked.

    « worst hotel »

The smelled terrible, sickly sweet smell which was over the top. The carpet was worn, stained, lifting from the floor, the door would not latch properly, the tub was stained. The screen on the window was in tatters

    « Good location »

We stayed at a few motels during this vacation and this was the only one that did not include breakfast. We had some issues with our room but management did take care of the problems, otherwise, it was nice enough. The pool was dirty.

    « Renovation / Need better housekeepers »

So when I first arrived everything looked amazing we checked in on the 18th of October and we are suppose to check out on the 21st of October now I don't know if it because we booked through with Expedia and everything was pre-paid. But when I got to my room there was a mattress in the hallways and it was there half the night. (Which quiet frankly it showed unclean) Entering my room, my bathroom had/has stains in the bathtub & the ceiling looked like it needed to be painted.. My first night sleep the fridge kept making an awful noise which woke me up in the middle of the night, so every night after I turned it off , it sounded like it was unbalanced. I'm here on business. So the table was great the wifi was alright too but it just kicks in and out. Every Time I left the room for a business meeting the housekeeping would never clean the bathtub... And it drove me nuts I told the front desk after my second night and again the next day they didn't then on my last night they come and wake us up at 9 am to do cleaning... We told them we were fine and didn't need anything cuz all they did is pull up the bed even tho I know the stains were on the bed from the first night. And they don't bother cleaning the bathroom, also on the first night they moved the soaps in bath tub but still didn't clean it. It's in a great location but I work for the Hotel Restaurant Industry and I feel they shouldn't turn down there customers just cuz they booked it on Expedia or any other website in paying for 4 night stay customers come first?

    « Wedding »

Nice hotel, reasonably priced. We were only there at night. The pool was OK, but there was no hot tub. The room had a whirlpool tub, but it was disabled due to the renovations that they were undergoing. We did not eat in the Restaurant, so we have no idea how the food was. It was quiet despite the close proximity to major roads. All in all not a bad place to stay.

    « Check your microwave »

Glad they are under renovations this will take care of some of the minor issues. The only thing that really disappointed me was when we asked for a microwave they dropped one off, we hooked it up, went to heat up our food and to our surprise was a plate of old food with saran wrap on it. Really things should be checked before moving to another room.

« Worth for the price »

This property is worth for the price I paid. Nice location, close to West Edmonton Mall. They are renovating it and so you can expect a better stay in future. I expected a bad experience until I stay in this property. Last month I stayed at the same hotel in Brampton, ON. It was one of the worst experience I ever had. They gave me a rotten room with dirty environment. Compared to that, this hotel is very nice and great. The receptionist girl at Brampton property was so rude, but the staff at this hotel are great and caring.

« Great service average appeal »

All employees were well presented and professional. Courtesy was genuine! Key cards kept failing just about 95% of the time my key did not work in my door and i i had to go to front desk to get another one. Hotel will be better after renovations are completed. Smoking outside front door not too appealing though.

« Convenient Location and Friendly Staff »

This hotel is close to all amenities on the West side of Edmonton. It is clean, fairly modern and well equipped. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast was well prepared and delicious. However, breakfast was not included in the price of our stay.

« Hot wire price was the only saving grace. »

I recently spent the weekend here, and used Hot wire as I have previously gotten lucky with a nice room for a great price. This trip was not the case. First of all I was largely disappointed in the small pool and no hot tub. However I will now point out the poor room features: 1.Very hard beds, not even pillow top...it's 2015... 2. 3 pillows per bed..not 4..plus they were huge and hard 3. The room has a ridiculous layout 4. No microwave, so when I order the gross food from all night pizza (the flyer they put under your door when you get to your room) you can't leave it in your fridge unless you want to eat it cold later. 5. Slow sink and tub drain 6. Scratched furniture 7. Wrinkled bedding - if your gonna cut corners..don't make it noticeable 8. Thin walls- was woken up 3 times by telling patrons, however I realize hotels have limited control over guests actions 7. Pathetic bar- it was downstairs and felt more like a basement than a hotel lounge 8. Room smelled funky I couldn't fathom paying full price for this room. If the manager responds he will say " I apologize..." and that they are under renovation...but.. guest comfort should come before exterior painting which they were doing the weekend I was there. To top it off the supervisor Kyle didn't even ask how our stay was. I had high hopes as it was a Best Western and upon walking in it smelled like the MGM Grand. I should have kept to my guns and stayed at the Hilton or Holiday Inn.

    « Bedbugs!!!! »

Bedbugs!!!! Unhelpful management & Staff. Must be fumigated for bedbugs. Must not continue to accept visitors until cleaned and entirely rid of bedbugs. Should take care of paying visitors. Customer service is number one.

    « BED BUGS BEWARE »

Do not stay at this hotel !! We stayed on the third floor for 1 night .. In the morning I found a bug crawling across my mattress , I killed it and it looked like it just fed on me or my sister. We left out belonging and told the staff immediately. They refused to give us any compensation for our belongings and would not have our clothes dry cleaned until finding out if it was positive a bed bug. We wasted a whole day waiting for the hotel to have pest control come in and test our room and belongings (over 5 hrs) and they came back and told us they couldn't get a hold of the pest control company Any longer. The managers name was Henry You and he wouldn't do anything for us. He is a terrible human being and should not be working in hospitality .. I highly recommend not staying at this hotel.

    « Old and a bit noisy »

The hotel is a bit old and the room arrangement is really bad. The desk was on the side on the bed and there was no space for the chair even when the rest of the room has a lot of space. There was a lot of noise from the room across the hall. The bed was really comfortable.

« Old, Creepy, not friendly »

I stayed one night in this hotel for a business stay. Pictures of the rooms are nice, but the rooms are actually old. The rooms window did not open, despite following the directions and trying numerous times- as well as having a friend try (this is a very dangerous fire hazard). Bathroom door barely cleared the toilet. Shower/tub was in poor condition (bottom of tub had cracks and was missing colour), a permanent sign attached to the tub also said the jets in the tub were not currently working to do maintenance. When I checked in and went to my room, there was someone else's finished room service food sitting outside my rooms door. Which was still there four hours later when I left to go for dinner. It took running water 10 minutes to finally reach a decent warm temperature. Gentlemen at the front who checked me in was not polite, he seemed stressed and arrogant. Rolled his eyes when he saw me at the front desk waiting after he walked out of a back room. I will never stay at a Best Western Again.
