Best Western Crossroads of the Bluffs

Please please please don't stay here. Woke up to bed bugs. Bites all over ankles, wrists…. Left at 3am when I went to the bathroom, and saw the carnage. The hotel has yet to call me back, and since it's privately owned, best western couldn't really do a lot to help. I booked this night on the best western app. I now read reviews on google before booking anywhere. It's a bummer since best western is normally really great. I had to throw out any belongings that I brought in since I was travelling I couldn't just throw everything in a hot wash cycle.

Awesome cleanliness, I have stayed there few days. I absolutely loved the freshness in the air as well as the neat surroundings. The wifi is pretty good too and also the services like breakfast. I thought food may not be that good but food is suprisingly very tasty.

We were here over the holiday and had a great experience. Our room was very clean and everything worked. We had no complaints of any kind and would recommend anyone traveling to stay here. People were all friendly and helpful.

The price is great for the quality of bedding, furnishing, quality of service, and breakfast. The indoor Olympic size pool alone is worth the stay. This property is great for its, safety, price, quality of service and amenities, parking and free breakfast!

I like this motel, The staff is so kind and rooms were clean. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel was one of the better ones we had stayed at in a long time. The bed was amazing, probably the best night sleep in awhile. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast we had in a long time.

This is the best stay ever , I really liked the eminities and room, the hospitality by the staff was awesome, really great experience, my family also likes it, I would recommend every one to try at Least once

Hotel lobby was really nice, counter person was very friendly and professional. Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Hallway carpets were a little outdated but clean. I would stay here again if I came through this area again. Location was convenient and it a nice area of town.

Very nice motel and very convenient to the Interstates. The desk clerk was most helpful and our room was very clean and comfortable. We would stay here again. Parking was easily accessible to our room.

It was a welcomed site after a long day on the road. Being pet friendly, we chose this hotel for that reason. The staff was very accommodating and provided everything we asked for. Nearby, we found food and then rested. We left no trace that we were ever there, and hope that we can continue to find places that are pet friendly.

Keep in mind when booking this hotel, it is in a fairly industrial neighborhood. The staff was friendly and the hotel seemed clean. The breakfast items were adequate. I did notice that there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom so it felt humid after taking a shower. The mirror fogged up making it difficult to get ready. Overall this hotel is okay.

Our room A/C did not work when it was 100 degrees outside. The hallways were worse. Even after maintenance “fixed it”. The room where the pool is felt like a thousand degrees. The bathtub needed serious repairs. The location was convenient, but we won't be staying there again.

Entering the main lobby was a delight...very well appointed with a great breakfast area. But it stops there. The room we had (145) was a "pet room" and it was quite "doggy" smelling. [$20 USD fee for what?] it was not very well appointed - and honestly, substandard for a BW...We went to shower and the "included" soaps and shampoos - were empty...remnants from a previous guest...and not replaced. Beds were okay. At 0430, we were treated to a fire alarm, which was triggered by ???? The clerk at the front desk did not know how to turn it off. The best thing was the breakfast - nicely laid out, but honestly, I'd not repeat a visit here.

The room was good and the breakfast was decent. The staff at checkout could not tell me how to get to on 80 east which was a only few blocks away. Very bad. Said theyd only been working there a short time. Have to get this question often. Disappointing. I paid with BW points and they charged $42 plus to my card. Had to grind it out to get it removed over a week plus later. Bad that they even put a charge on my card as a BWDiamond Elite. They had my card when I made the reservation. I think if you pay cash rather than redeem points you would avoid this and be ok. Shame on them for making me having to grind it out.

The hotel has not been updated structurally in a very long time. Window coverings, flooring and furniture all seemed fairly new and in good shape. But the ceiling was an outdated drop ceiling. The bathroom fixtures were loose on the wall, showing the openings behind them. It is a two story hotel with no elevator. So if you have a lot of luggage, beware. I had a difficult time contacting this hotel by phone before our stay. I had to try back many times over multiple days before someone finally answered. Also, there is a washer and dryer on site. But the washer was out of order at the time of our stay. We travelled with dogs and there was no area to walk to them. The room we were in was pretty dirty. The bathroom walls still had hair from the last guests on the wall. Lastly, while this is not the fault of hotel, they are located next to a truck stop where semis were running all night.

Bathroom needs many repairs, walls in shower and flimsy when you lean against them in shower. Pool area was hot they left sliding doors open and let 90 degree weather in did not air condition pool area. Hallways smelled even one night smelled like weed/pots in the hallways. Rooms are extremely smaller then expected. Beds are far from comfortable. Breakfast food was terrible compared to other hotel experiences. Only nice part of the hotel was the lobby area and breakfast area with bathrooms feels like a high end hotel until you walk though the door past this area and then it goes downhill from there. I would not recommend..

Our toilet was clogged. The maintenance person came and said he “would fix it tomorrow”. There was no drain cover in the bathtub. The front desk person said he would get back to me about it and never did.

We met friends for an overnight visit and were extremely happy with the room and service. Breakfast was very nice and great way to start the day. We didn't take advantage of the pool or exercise room because we wanted to talk and visit with our friends, whom we hadn't seen in several years.

The pool was massive, clear, and warm with ample pool towels. The room was clean and quiet. The toilet would run loudly every few minutes for a while. Breakfast was the typical spread with warm options, even a microwave.

Wonderful service by friendly staff, fantastic pool area, central location for my needs, and all for a great price. This is definitely going to be my first choice for when I visit CB and need to stay at a hotel.

This was one of the least expensive rooms I looked for. We stayed here in sept so I thought it would be a good halfway point for us. The breakfast was hot but the same in sept and Dec! There were broken things that need repairs!

Clean, friendly nice location. Staff was efficient and educated. Very friendly, helpful. Close to many amenities nearby.staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Clean rooms and very comfortable. I recommend this place

Much better than expected! Very good price point for your money and hotel quality. Came to be with our daughter for sports event and decided to stay there--price was the most competitive in my opinion.

Receptionist greeted us as we walked in, didn't have to ring a bell like other hotel brands. Room was very clean and breakfast was hot and plenty to eat. The hotel overall was well lite n clean throughout. I would recommend this hotel

Staff was friendly but room in need of repair and better cleaning. First impression in lobby was nice place but room not so much. Draperies torn, walls dirty and chipped, floor dirty, TV didn't work (waited 44 minutes for a maintenance person).

Excellent hotel and amazing staff. I would recommend this hotel. The Front desk employee Pam was amazing and very knowledgeable. Best rest ever. Oh and the pool was amazing. The prices are reasonable too.

The hotel is always maintained fully stocked, helpful staff a smile when you come in and made for you to feel like you're at home. The manager Abdul is always prompt if there's ever an issue at hand and he seeks resolution immediately. Kumar has one heck of a sense of humor and that's what makes it even more comfortable thanks Kumar and Abdul you are the best.

This hotel needs a serious upgrade. The lobby looks very nice when you check in. The side door was so hard to open I had to use two hands. The curtains and chair are straight out of the 70's. The heat made so much noise it sounded like a freight train. The bed was comfortable. Looked like the newest thing in the room.

I stayed here between flights after a trip to a retreat center near Omaha, NE. This is a great hotel with a large heated indoor pool with patio area, clean rooms with large televisions, and other great amenities like a continental breakfast, and snacks at the front desk.

This property was nicer than I expected. Nice lobby and decent guest room. Lots of parking. Greeted at the front door by two people who were glad to see me. Close to two large service stations and convenience stores (walking distance). Good bedding, towels and amenities. Good HD TV in the room.

Very nice hotel for one night on our road trip and it seems like it would be good for longer. Clean and comfortable room, breakfast area was like a restaurant, friendly snd helpful staff. Parking near rooms. Our room had small table and chairs so we ordered Chinese delivered and ate comfortably in room.

This was a reasonably priced hotel close to the venue with fast food places and gas stations nearby and easy off the highway and easy on! No stairs or elevators to deal with. Next time I want to try out the pool. It said it had a wheelchair lift!

I was looking through reviews for a place to stay along the 80 and all had very mediocre reviews. On Booking.com this hotel got a 7.2 so I decided to spend a little more than we budgeted. We got to our room, which seemed fairly clean. I was sitting on the bed, my husband on the chair. I started itching. Then a lot more. I finally stood up and when I did there were 3 adult bed bugs and dozens of babies. So this was not a "someone brought them in yesterday" situation. They did comp our stay and moved us to another room but, sorry, that doesn't make up for the insane itching that is overwhelming. Unfortunately, I've not heard from the GM. I would have expected to hear something. Final assessment, don't stay here!

On our trip to visit family we stayed in two "dog friendly" hotels. This one was set up nicely and had no doggy smells. It was very clean and had an artificial wood floor. The tv was a nice size and easy to view. We asked for restaurants that had god quality food with carry outs. We picked The Salty Dog which was very convenient and very good food.

We decided to stay in this hotel based solely on the pictures and the fact that it had a jacuzzi in the room. The bed was hard as a rock and I felt every spring in the mattress. The jacuzzi tub had a kitchen faucet to fill it so make sure you have at least an hour to wait before getting enough water to get in. None of the door latches/locks seem to work quite right. The room didn't seem very clean either. Otherwise the staff was all very friendly.

Just arrived, apparently BW has no minimum standards for being part of BW. Mistake trusting BW as being a good property. Awful parking lot, very dirty including broken glass, back entrance by open laundry room really disgusting. Probably last experience at a best western. Just hope it is safe to stay here one night, might consider moving before night arrives.

If you like cigarette smoke, sticky floors, old, worn down tattered rooms, and broken plumbing then this is the place for you! So disappointed this is actually called a Best Western hotel. Find somewhere else to stay until this place is torn down and rebuilt!

Perfectly pleasant stay along the highway while on a road trip. Good breakfast (waffles, sausage, eggs, potatoes, a weird yogurt dispenser, & decent coffee, along with the usual carbs) and lovely pool area. Nice staff

Hotel room was clean and nice, facility was decent. Breakfast was OK, but not standout. Main front desk person was nice and helpful, manager was rude and aggressive. Hotel not up to speed with current technology guest requirements, living 15 years or so behind current demand.

''Give Me Your I.D.!'' were the first words greeting me at Best Western Crossroads, Council Bluffs. His co-worker tried to explain, ''It's his second day,'' as if that would make up for a lack of a 'Hello', 'Welcome', any minimal politeness really. Bath tub has serious rust around the drain, matched by vanity sink rust and even drop down ceiling frame rust and door frame rust. Vinyl floor in room with window looking out into a multi-use space forced to accept all the waste heat of everyone's A/C unit, leaving it stifling and unusable. Previous guest hair on shower walls and clippings around sink. And I couldn't make up my mind if the smell in the bathroom was burnt hair or sewage gas... This isn't the worst Best Western I've seen, but it's very close.

We looked for a location in Council Bluffs because it was a half-way point to our final destination, and were traveling with two small dogs (combined weight of both under 15 lbs). The pet policy seemed--on its face--very fair and reasonable, so I elected to book a room. The pet policy states: "We are pet friendly and allow up to two dogs in a rented room...The pet friendly rate is $20.00 per day." When checking out, I was charged $40 (the rate for the whole room was $80...so the pet fee was equal to half again as much as the room rate.) At best, the policy as written on the web site is ambiguous--it sure looks on its face to charge a flat fee of $20 for up to two dogs. I did not argue, nor ask for a credit-I simply pointed out to the desk clerk the ambiguity of the web site statement which can be easily cured by adding two words at the end of the sentence: "per pet." I would not call it a bait and switch-- but I would not have booked the place if I was going to pay half again as much for the room. Some general observations about the property: 1. The neighborhood is light commercial/industrial/warehouse. It is located next to a large truck stop--refrigerated trucks were running diesel engines all night to keep freight chilled--so expect that kind of setting as you arrive; 2. Room was a mixed bag: sheets and towels were clean; bedding satisfactory; drapes were shabby and failing; ceiling tiles looked tired; TV was newer as were the dresser and desk; the flooring was newer and a manufactured composite faux wood, but not real clean; bathroom was clean but sink and bath fixtures were faulty--the water out of the bath spigot ran rusty for several seconds when turned on; refrigerator was quiet but freezer compartment needed defrosting; A/C was fine but a bit noisy--I turned it off at night. 3. Lobby and breakfast areas were clean and well organized. The breakfast was agreeable and on par with other highway motel chains--but don't expect butter for your toast or waffles--just got a shrug and a "jelly only" comment from the breakfast attendant when I asked if they had butter or margarine. 4. Staff was perfunctory-no one seemed happy to be working there--you can get a sense of management engagement when you read the rote responses to the negative reviews. 5. I would say this property is below BW standards.

Stay here if you want cold showers and complete disregard by management. We booked 2 rooms for 3 guests. There was no hot water in one of the rooms. Management refused to do anything to accommodate us or refund us. We book thousands of hotel rooms for our business and have never ever had any of our employees treated like this. There is nothing”best” about this property.

The outside needs updated, the parking lot is bad. There have been attempts at remodeling but a lot more needs to be done. The bathroom floor was dirty. The bathroom smelled of sewer. The a/c sounded like it was a jet engine taking off. The flooring in the room buckled when ypi walked on it. Hotel staff a little aloof, possibly new employee? Back door to entrance key did not work so people propped the door open a little unsafe. Reinvest in the property and represent the brand. It was not worth it and won't be bavk

The room smelled of sewer gas. Temp had been set for 60 so on arrival it was frigid; took forever to get it warm enough, even with a sweater (this was in summer). Shower never got above tepid. Pool was chilly (though others seemed to tolerate it). Guest men's bathroom would not flush. We have experienced hotels where the front desk staff were much more welcoming. Easy to find along I-80 with a Culver's nearby as well as Casey's gas. About 7 minutes to the zoo and easy to get to.

This hotel needs a good cleaning and alot of updating. If it were $80 it would be okay but for $200, it's not worth the money. There's nothing really wrong with this place but it's more along the lines of a Motel 6 or a Super 8 quality then a Best Western.

We stayed here to be close to the zoo and because I have always had good experiences at Best Westerns in the past. During our stay, the front desk staff seemed preoccupied and just running through the paces. After coming back from breakfast in the morning, we came back to our room to find a leak in the bathroom ceiling. Our toiletries were soaked, as well as my wife's makeup bag and some of our clothing. When we told the front desk, they told us to wait and started answering phone calls instead of helping us. Then a non-front desk employee came over to scribble down some notes and said they would take care of it and brushed us off. Nobody offered to help us with our stuff, or explain what happened. The leak continued for the remainder of our stay.

The girl at check-in was nice enough, except she made the comment that they were sold out; so she gave us what she had. Although she did assure us it was still a good room; the fact that I had a reservation should have made some sort of difference. I'm not sure where that comment came from. The room was atrocious, and the girl at checkout was not very helpful at all she simply gave me an email to the manager so I could email him my complaints. The bed was broken, made my husband sick with acid reflux all night long. The air conditioning unit fell off the front as soon as my knee bumped it when I was trying to turn it on, it was not on when we entered the room and the room was hot and stuffy. The bathtub was dirty we never felt comfortable using it, and after we came back up after checking out so we could take pictures; it had two inches of standing water in it which came from somewhere I'm not sure where since we never turn the water on. The door was crooked on the hinges so difficult to open and shut you had to literally fight with it. The floor felt dirty, the entertainment center with the television was pulled away from the wall and the wiring was not even connected so you couldn't even watch tv. The refrigerator was not plugged in and there was no door to cover the little mini freezer compartment either. I don't regularly stay at a Best Western, but my mom told me she has never had a bad stay at a Best Western so I figured that's where we would stay on our trip back across country from my father-in-law's funeral.

Very clean hotel. The breakfast was good. They had a nice variety and everything was served at the right temperature. The front desk staff was a little cranky. I asked for my rewards number to be used when I checked in. I wasn't sure that it was, so I checked again in the morning and the lady seemed a little irritated with me. Otherwise, a very good value.

Had room 149. Two people above us started arguing around 2AM. They were shouting, cursing and stomping of feet. This lasted 30 minutes. They were then joined by a 3rd person. More shouting, cursing and stomping of feet. While this was going on we started to pack quietly hoping to get out of our room and into our car safely. We had 2 backpacks, 3 handbags and a blind dog. When we felt that it was safe enough to go out of room, we quickly walked to our car, secured our dog tossed the bags where they fit and screeched out of the parking lot. When I dropped off the key at the front I told the manager what we had experienced. He answered that he had already asked the residents to stop making noise or he would kick them out of the hotel. This was our experience. Yours might differ greatly.

Friendly staff at check in. Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was good. Eggs, potatoes, sausage was hot which is very important to us. Would stay here again probably on way to nd coming back from the south in winter.

The hallway was hot and humid, our room smelled of cigarettes, floor was filthy in our room, towels were dirty and overall felt like our room was half cleaned.TV didn't work and took us a few times to realize the HDMI cord was unplugged from the cable box.

Overall my family and I are fairly satisfied. We were a group of 8 split between 4 rooms. Our biggest issues with the rooms and cleanliness were with food crumbs and trash underneath beds, and a leaky toilet in one room. But we understand that sometimes those things can get looked past or forgotten. Our biggest complaint for our stay is with staff member Mike. The only reason I rated service very good is because staff members Pria and Pam made up for Mike. They were able to help clear some things up for us and take initiative that Mike lacked. Other than under the beds, everything was very clean and well kept. I would return to this hotel on the condition of Mike either not being there or having a good talking to.

Easy to access from the highway. Upgraded to chip card readers, no need to struggle with your luggage and make a swipe or put the card in a slot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The usual sounds of the refrigerator, A/C-heating unit, water system. I was in an inner room, so cannot comment to road sounds. Everything worked as it should. I was here to visit family on the Nebraska side, but the rooms of the same price there had additional fees of $60 per night due to events in the area. I was still only 10 minutes from their location, so this seemed a great choice. Kudos Council Bluffs.

The pool area is very large and it is just $20 extra for a pet to stay. The rooms are fine; not super clean but not gross. Most of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good; a decent selection in a nice room.

The outside appearance of the hotel is deceiving as it looks like an old run-down building. However, the inside has been updated and is very clean and well taken care of. The employees were very kind and courteous. We did experience a bit of a delay checking in as there was no one at the front desk and a maintenance worker saw me and told me they would return in about 20 minutes. He then sent them a text and they did return and apologized for not having anyone there and graciously and kindly checked me in while the continued to apologize. The rooms were remodeled and clean and comfortable. The front lobby and the breakfast commons were very welcoming, warm and clean. The breakfast bar setup was very nice and the employees were very kind. The pool was not working which was disappointing and the walls appeared to be rather thin as you could hear nearly every noise in your room and I am a very light sleeper.

Had a decent sleep - Needed to print a couple things , manager let me use his computer because the guest one's printer wasn't working - Thanks! Good , plain breakfast , no problems Best Western stay ..

Normally I really like staying at Best Western hotels, but this hotel needs a lot of repair work. The walls were stained, the drop ceiling was sagging, smoke detectors were missing, the parking lot was failing apart.

Hotel is beat up some but clean enough where needed. It has a large pool area that looks like it would be good for a gathering. Exercise area looked ok but I didn't get close enough to know if everything worked. It looks like they have conference rooms being used for storage. Our room was clean enough and comfortable. The breakfast and breakfast area was quite nice - best asset at this property. Customer service was awful. Our desk chair was broken and left in the hall. I requested a replacement and was told TWICE they'll get on it. After more than an hour and a half, I find all three staff relaxing in the dining room! Price and value were good, so overall I guess I would call the place average. This is NOT up to Best Western standards. It's just okay . . . . As long as you don't need anything from the staff.

Dresser handle broken, bathroom tiles missing, bathtub drain removed, electrical outlet on desk lamp loose, room numbers written on wall with a magic marker. Complained to front desk was told that he only worked, gave me name of manager.

Had a nice stay at this motel. People are always nice here and a good breakfast. The room was clean and everything worked. It is in a good location for shopping or the casinos. Room was ready on time as promised.

This place had it all if you wanted a terrible experience. Cobbled together parking lot, cobbles under carpet in pool area? Non functioning heater/AC. It was cool enough when we went to bed and boiling hot by 3am. Broken frig froze my veggies. Dirty floors . Incompetent staff had me sign for bill 3 times and still could not produce an accurate receipt. Definitely will check with my credit card company to make sure they didn't double charge me.

The hotel is shabby, outdated and has repair issues. It is the worst Best Western that my family has ever stayed at. Very disappointing and not the quality that is expected for this hotel chain. They cannot change the location, but they can improve the experience.

The staff here are very nice and accommodating - after we told them about the semen stains all over our sheets, they moved us immediately to another room. The guest in the room next to us was quiet, but she was definitely smoking meth and cigarettes all night long and there was no way to open any windows or filter the air better so we went to sleep tasting smoke. The first room was okay sans semen stains, but the second room had old food in the fridge and the toilet seat wasn't actually connected to the toilet but placed on top of it. Again, the staff here are great and doing their best, but I should have left when the check-in guy emphasized their non-smoking policy and then made me promise not to smoke in our room in a desperate tone. The check-out guy is was also very nice as he was helping the woman ahead of me locate security footage from the night before when her entire trailer of dirt bikes was stolen, but also tried to shirk responsibility a bit by arguing that “the neighbors haven't complained about thefts in months.” Probably just a management request that they make the hotel sound nicer than it is without realizing how daft it sounds. The other positive, as other reviewers have noted, is the water pressure. I didn't shower, but my husband did because he's brave. Just unfortunate that he smelled worse afterwards because then he smelled like a wet cigarette from the towels.

Nice hotel for an overnight stop. Front desk folks were very helpful and personable. Rooms were clean and quiet. Good hot water pressure in the shower. They had a nice breakfast bar with a lot to choose from. Will definitely stay again on our next trip!

We booked this room with AAA discount and it was cheaper than any surrounding motels which had a pool. Breakfast was served as well. I know some places are still closed due to Covid. Both were available as of October 15-17. Only complaint is they didn't enforce the posted pool hours until we reported the guests waking up our children. Wouldn't have minded if not for the noise. Sometimes us adults might enjoy private pool time while kids are asleep. That being said, the chlorine was a bit strong. After a couple hours my children's eyes and skin around were bright red and we had to get out. I've never had any public pool do that. It was a little tricky getting there by GPS getting on and off multiple freeways multiple times so next time I will go in the day when it's easier to see traffic distance etc to be changing lanes that much.

Easy on and off rot 80. Great dog friendly location. Two story with lots of parking and grass to walk your dog. Breakfast was good. A large selection of items. Very spacious eating area. Indoor pool and fitness center were closed.

Beds are very comfortable. Lighting in room was good for reading. There were two armchairs. Tv was good, and reception was good. Breakfast only lasts until 9:30, but has good coffee and little donuts I like.

We came at 3pm to check-in, but our room wasn't ready. They first told us 10 minutes, then after 10 minutes they told us 20 minutes, and finally after waiting an HOUR we complained and asked for another room. They gave us another room, but the hallway was filled with dirty towels going all down it because the maids were still cleaning the entire hallway (I guess all at once?). The hallways were rather hot and it had a smell of smoke. No elevator either which made getting our suitcases to the second floor difficult. The air conditioner in our room didn't work great. It kept us cool, but we had it on the highest setting and you'd expected it to be freezing on that setting- nope. We also booked the room for $125 but was told we had to pay $165 at the counter. We were asked to wait a few days to see the adjustment; I guess we will see! Overall, an old hotel that had some cosmetic things done to it to make it seem nice.

Was needing place to stay while home being readied for me to move into. Choose BW for price and convince .rooms clean beds comfortable nice to have coffee in room TV selection was very good. Forgot hair dryer glad one was available

I was with a large group of 9 brothers. My hotel stay was fine, although I feel I should stand up for my little brother who did not have a great experience. He went back to his room and found his bag missing. This was early in the wee hours of the morning and admittedly we have tied one off letting loose a little. We spoke to the staff and they said we could check the security cameras at 8AM. At 8AM we checked the footage, however there were large sections of time missing. We were told that the monitors for the cameras were motion activated, so that's why there is gaps in the footage. We could not see anyone going into his room after he did, however we did see him entering his room, dropping off his bag and coming back out of his room without it. I told the manger and my brother let's go look in your room one more time to make sure he hadn't simply misplaced it . On the way, the manager checked the lost and found and low and behold, there was the bag. Everything was in the bag, with the addition of some wire brushes and a screwdriver that were not his. The manager assured us he would contact the housekeeper that found the bag and let us know the outcome. Later that evening, I spoke with the manager and he told me the housekeeper came across the room with the door open. The housekeeper then entered the room and removed the bag from his room in order that it would not be stolen. However, this housekeeper did not let anyone know they had done this. Also, why didn't the housekeeper simply close the door? Council Bluffs is a strange place. Lots of casinos and strange people. They need to do a better job of hiring staff and keeping an eye on their current staff. I don't believe the manger was involved, however he was inept in his response. No rooms were comp'd, no discounts offered, nothing to make the situation better. There's a Holiday Inn Express down the street, stay there. There's also a laundry list of small issues that are also a problem. The inner rooms back the indoor pool, but there's no access to the pool directly from your room. The beds are terrible and uncomfortable. The plumbing fixtures are outdated and in disrepair, the lobby bathrooms were clogged and dirty the entire time. Not worth 140.00 a night. Ryan S.

Lobby and breakfast area are nice. Pool is nice however it is extremely hot in the area, it felt like the heat was on and it was 90 degrees outside. Rooms were ok. Hair on walls of shower and when we first turned on the water to the shower the water was brown/rusty. I've stayed in much better and I've stayed in worse. It's just an ok for me.

Recently took teenagers to the zoo in Omaha. This hotel was in a great location for us just off the interstate and minutes away from things we wanted to do. The price was good as we needed 2 rooms. Checking in was a breeze. Rooms were clean. Pool was enjoyable. Food was near by.

We felt super safe, during the lifting of covid restrictions, staying at Best Western. We had two dogs with us, so it was most important to find a place that would allow them. The room was clean, cool, and comfortable. We ordered delivery and it was no problem for the delivery driver to leave food at our door, as we're still playing things as safe as possible. We were splitting up a VERY long drive, and it was a comfortable place to relax and rest before the second leg of our trip.

Very nice close to shopping. Pool was nice kids loved it. I did find the pillows small but other then that, we will use them again. Was nice to see my sister after 2 years. Great breakfast! Staff very friendly

I booked a room early in the afternoon for a stay that night. I know prices can be inflated booking same day, but this was unreal. I paid way too much for a crummy room that smelled. My room number was written on a piece of paper and taped to the door. It seems as if the owners have let this place go a bit. The bathroom was tiny and both the shower head and hot water faucet had holes into the wall behind them. The pieces were not fully connected to the wall. The shower worked fine but for the price I paid, I would think everything would look nice and not aged. The bed was comfortable, but it was hard to sleep because the AC, even with the fan on automatic, was working against 90 degree heat even after sunset, and was not very loud and had to work very hard to keep the room at the temperature I set. There were also cars parked right outside my window that were revving up at all hours of the night. They had several choices for breakfast, but I just grabbed a few things to eat while driving to my final destination. Upon check out, the man at the front desk asked if I wanted a receipt. I said sure but what he printed was a rate that was much lower than what I actually paid. It had someone else's phone number and the last four of the credit card were not mine. I would not stay here again, and definitely wouldn't for the price I paid.

The staff at the breakfast bar were unfriendly, food was cold, all the tables were dirty, our room smelled musty and of chlorine, the bath tub would not drain and was like taking a shower and bath all together, TV did not work correctly, there was not a proper plug in for the coffee maker and I had to make my coffee in the bathroom using that plugin. I would never go back.

A nice clean hotel near casinos -- comfortable bed -- good sized tv -- great breakfast selection -- not a fancy hotel, but met or exceeded my expectations -- will stay again when passing through Omaha

Manager didn't seem to care about the mice in our room. We could hear them running all night and even had them on video. Very dirty rooms as well. Also no elevator. Did I mention mice? Do not stay here! Would have left in the night but we were staying with a volleyball team and many kids were sleeping by this time. I have never written a bad review before but this place truly deserves one

Great location off of the interstate and near Mid- America Center and Iowa West Field House. It was not horrible but the room could have been cleaner. Room felt somewhat small. Variety of eating options nearby.

First a sign tells you to have a mask when entering. However, the front desk attendant was not wearing one. You have to request your room made up every morning. A detail left out at check -in. Also no wi-fi password given. They gave us a room that felt like a dungeon. A few of a darkened pool area. Never knew the time because the clock was unplugged. If you know a guest is coming. Plug it in and set it! You are not cleaning all the rooms. Now for the breakfast, don't bother. Eggs are powdered and not much selection. The only day we went down they were cleaning up at 8:40 am. Not sure what the hours are, a second detail not given at check-in. Noisy! No carpet on the room floor to dampen it. You could hear people walking, baby crying and the chairs sliding on the ground. Good thing I never plan on going back to Council Bluffs but if I do, going to Omaha.

I won't ever stay at this place again. I'd rather sleep in my car. The dirt in the hallway looked like it hadn't been swept in weeks. The Oder in the room was either smoke or some other stink that wasn't coming out. The heater either was on full blast or not at all. I'll pass on ever using this place again.

outside side door lock doesn't work so anyone can enter the building 24 hours a day. wall paper is held-up with tape their so called breakfast is cold cereal and yogurt trust me, pay the extra $8.00 and stay across the street

We were in town for a volleyball tournament my daughter and I. I had made a reservation for 4 nights. We arrived late at night. On arrival we noticed some sketchy people hanging around the hotel. It also reeked of marijuana. We got to our room and the room number was written in "BLACK SHARPIE"!! The door was open and a gentleman was in the room. It appeared as he was "straightening" up the room. Not cleaning it! Or it could've been a random guy, who knows. The room stunk. We immediately left. I was not going to risk the safety of my daughter and mine. I went to the front desk and told the gentleman what happened and that I was leaving. He stated they would have to charge me for the 1st night since I didn't give them a 24 hour notice. He never apologized and didn't care that my daughter and my safety we at risk. He was rude, uncaring, and a jerk! HOW can I give a 24 hour notice not knowing the conditions of this hotel until I arrive!? I will dispute the charge with my credit card. This is THEE worse experience I've ever had!

The staff are no communicating with each other, the front desk person checked us into a dirty room (during this pandemic). He didn't even apologize, but rather placed us in a room with no window "really no window" it oversees some kind of function room, which was dark. It was honestly scary, but the possibility of touching covid knobs and being in a closed room. There are not even close to being done with construction therefore you will be unfinished walls, doors, and even bathrooms.

Understandably so, the hotel has restrictions in place due to COVID-19, but nothing is disclosed until checking in. Breakfast was a bag with a bottle of water, a banana, and a muffin (which was not enough for me and my wife), and the pool was closed. I understand hotels need to adjust for safety, but these things should be mentioned prior to booking. We may have sprung for a nicer hotel had these things been mentioned. The hotel is also under some renovations, and the hallways were gross. The side exterior door did not latch, which is a safety concern.

I have recently begun having to live in a hotel. And by far this one is the best one to stay at. They are fair and have very good security. They watch their cameras and keep out the riff raff. I really enjoy staying here.

The entire hotel was under construction. Lots of dust by my room. Room had no hot water. Took cool showers. Jacuzzi did not properly work. Fitness & pool we're not working. TV in living room area DID NOT change channels. Staff was not effective & said they found no issues. Terrible!!!!

We stayed here while looking for a grave in Omaha,Ne. The desk clerk was very helpful in locating a place for dinner. We also made it to a casino while there. the motel was nice ,with all the covid junk you have to adapt to different issues.

My wife and I had a great stay at the Best Western Crossroads of the Bluffs in, Council Bluffs, Ia on Monday, Sept 21st, 2020. The room was neat and clean,and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back, and will also refer this hotel to our family and friends!!

Huge disappointment! Went to the Omaha area for my 70th birthday. Had great expectations for Best Western because of their website. Before booking verified the pool was open and asked where the pool was when we checked in. Desk clerk marked on the map ; our room, the pool, dining area etc. Security on entrance door not working. Room was nice, especially liked the tile floor vs having carpet. Went to the pool, and there's a sign on the door stating it was closed. First disappointment. Ice machine didn't work. There was a frig, microwave and coffee maker. No coffee packets etc, and when calling the front desk was told they had coffee there. No breakfast, was given a paper bag with a bottle of water, package of muffins and a banana. Needless to say we went elsewhere for breakfast the 3 mornings we were there; costing us $60 that we hadn't planned on. No maid service the entire time we were there, had to call room service daily for fresh towels, and front desk person wasn't happy to be bothered. I'd rate the room a 3 and customer service a zero (0)!

We were passing through on a trip cross country and wanted to take a rest from driving. We only stayed 3 hours (it was all we could take) - the room was smelly, dirty ( the floor had not been cleaned and hairs on the sheets) used our own blankets on top of the bed but could not sleep due to the air conditioner being so loud that it literally shook the beds! Terrible ‘rest' and a waste of hard earned money!

First, wifi doesn't work in your room. Second, flies and other bugs all over. Third, despite the night clerk telling us breakfast was available until 9am and handing us a hotel printed map and circling breakfast time as 6-9am, the morning clerk refused to hand over the sack breakfast at 8:30, saying breakfast ended at 8am. How hard would it be to just give us the water and banana? Also, staff was not wearing face masks in any public areas nor did they require guests to wear them. There are so many other options in the area. I would highly recommend going somewhere else.

1 st room had dirty bedspread and smoke dector was beeping they changed our room and bedspread was clean but the floor was dirty. very noisy because it is next to a truck stop. i would not suggest staying here

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights there last week. They were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. And breakfast was great. And they were more than welcoming & sweet to my Chihuahua as well. Steven, Teddy and I will most definitely be returning soon.

When I first arrived to my room i noticed a long black hair on the toilet seat along with brown stuff at the back of the seat. during my three day stay the sheets were never changed and bathroom not cleaned. When taking a shower the tub filled up with water and took some time to drain after i finished. The water was luke warn at best and had to leave the cold water off to achieve that. The refrigerator was turned to the coldest setting and my pop that i had put in there was frozen the next morning. I could keep going but what is the point? Will not book there again.

Everything for breakfast was cold and no staff in sight to replenish supplies and food. Room temp was difficult to regulate. Price was decent for our room. Would consider staying again sometime. Location was kind of off the beaten path.

I initially booked four nights here, but cancelled the last three nights within an hour of being in the room. The hallways and room didn't smell great - I even went down to the front desk (because nobody was answering the phone when I called at midnight) to double check that my room was, in fact, a non-smoking room. The thin window of the room also overlooked the indoor pool, which opens at 6am. There was also a dog barking in the room next to mine. It had a connecting door, so the noise was louder than just a shared wall. I asked when I checked out if they allowed dogs and he said they had certain rooms, but if they run out of pet rooms then pets can just go anywhere, so I'm not sure why they bother having designated rooms. Also odd was that the door to the room shocked me EVERY time I unlocked it. Finally, the website says they offer a 24 hour airport shuttle. I called the hotel to confirm earlier in the day, then learned when I arrived at the airport at 11pm and called the hotel again that they don't...but they did agree to pick me up. About 20 minutes later the owner showed up in his personal car and barely identified himself before telling me to get in his car, which he obviously smokes in. I would stay again for just one night, but no more than that. The desk staff and owner were friendly and breakfast was tasty.

The facilities and room were clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. We need good internet, printing, etc when we stop at a motel. They were great and helped us print our paperwork as well as faxed several pages for us.

You wouldn't think it was an excellent very clean hotel. Smoking room available! Jesse and Terrance were awesome. Pool looked great. Can't wait to come back. It's been updated and turning out nicely. Can't wait to come back.

Best Western Crossroads of the Bluffs, Council Bluffs, IOWA is a spacious and enjoyable place. Their professional and welcoming staff set the precedent for me to stay in hotels and leave the other services. I would recommend this place if you are in the area.

Family stay- I read many reviews before choosing to stay here. The price was great but wanted to make sure the experience was going to be as well! Some reviews had some unkind things to say about it so I was going in prepared but relying on those that seemed more practical. We arrived late in the evening from traveling and were greeted by a fantastic desk attendant! The first thing that impressed me was the pool hours. Most pools are only open until 9pm or so. We were grateful this one was open 6 am to 11pm! We were able to check in and still take the kiddos to the pool to relax before going to bed! The pool area was very nice! We enjoyed this both evenings after having long days of adventuring!! I would have enjoyed the early hours too had I the energy to get up before everyone else and take a swim alone! The seating areas of the hotel in the lobby, dining area and pool area were all very nice and impressive. Lots of room for families to visit together. The rooms were just right size for our family of 4 and was grateful to have a fridge and microwave for the price as well! The breakfast had nice options for being included! Only semi complaint there was the lack of pork, but turkey sausage and bacon are better for us anyway and our youngest son loved it so no big deal but the biscuits were hard unfortunately. Maybe suggest finding a better way to keep those than current. They had a nice waffle station, drink selection, cereal, eggs, potatoes, yogurt, donuts etc. so overall can't complain much for an included breakfast! Location was perfect as it is less than 10 minutes from zoo, has a movie theater right down the street and many dining options close. We were not bothered by the semi traffic at all, room was quiet and undisturbed by pool patrons or outside traffic. Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel and would definitely use this one again when returning to the area. Friendly and accommodating staff, clean rooms and spaces and great for the price. I have paid more for less accommodating stays! If you are looking for a $200/night stay you might nit pick at anywhere that is budget friendly like this but I would suggest if that is the case you find a $200/night hotel room somewhere else.

This is one of the worst BWs I have ever stayed in. poorly maintained inside and out with derelict cars in the parking lot and people drinking. Poor lighting in the parking lot, so it did not seem safe going out to your car after dark. Not a fan of this place.

Hotel was well worth the price. The pool was in good condition. Breakfast was good. Hotel, room, and bedding was clean and organized. I would stay here again if in the area. Definitely seemed to be occupied by a lot of truck drivers, I would imagine due to proximity to I-80. People were friendly.

Pets Welcome! Finally a place for my dogs. There was basically a pet hallway away from the other rooms. The exit out of our hallway took us straight out to our cars and to lots of room for our dogs to do their business. It made it easy to get our luggage and dogs in and out quickly.

Nasty dirty, bug infested hotel, diry, smelly. Gives Best Western a very bad name compared to other properties. Staff didn't care about our concerns. Air conditioner loud, noisy and breakfast room was dirty and nasty just same as rooms were.

We stayed here 2 separate nights and the frig was broken in both rooms. The first night, since we couldn't get it cold, we turned it off. Two hours later, there was a puddle on the floor. Since it was after 10 PM we didn't bother with notifying the staff until morning. The second time, we left the frig on. The 'freezer ' compartment was iced over with 2" of ice. The inside itself was not cold to the touch. The front desk was told about it when we checked out. The lobby was nice and cool when we checked in BUT the back corridors were like a sauna. Not pleasant. The motel had a truckers parking lot on the north side. After 10 PM and as early as 4 AM, the truckers were starting there engines and letting them warm up. Not restful. The back door was not secure and anyone could get in. It looked like there was 2 abandoned cars in the lot. They were both covered in dust and one had a flat tire.

Homecoming at Lewis Central High School. Our grandsons played. They won 70-7. Our stay in the motel was an added blessing. We didn't have to drive home 4 hours and had a restful night. We left for Brownville the following morning

I've stayed at several hotels over the years across the country .The Best Western Crossroads in Council Bluffs, IA was the best hotel I've ever stayed at. I will recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!

Updating over the past few years is nice especially no carpet in the rooms...makes them feel cleaner. Counter people are very pleasant with the shuttle service being a great perk. Breakfast was disappointing...has been better in the past. nice indoor pool

Horrible stay. Been moved to 3 different rooms, either the AC doesn't work or the Tv doesn't work. I would highly recommend not staying here unless you like the excercise from moving room to room a lot.

BW used to be tops. Drain in washbasin didn't work; window curtain not fully hanging. Front desk came quickly, examined the drain, and said it really shouldn't be a problem (!). Quickly gave us the key to another room though. Reported a loose toilet paper roll holder, which was repaired the next day. And so on. Breakfast very nice. Pool looked neglected, window/outer doors missing in places.

Breakfast wasnt very good and outside doors werent ever locked hallway by the pool extremely hot but it was overall a good experience. Would return and will recommend this hotel to others.. Friendly staff.

Very nice hotel and staff there were very nice and helpful with any questions we had about the area. Staff was excellent and the Breakfast was very good with waffles, eggs, bacon biscuits and gravy, pateries.

We looked at reviews that were not very nice. We decided to go to this hotel and we were all very happy with the staff and the hotel was very clean rooms were great. We couldn't find anything wrong with this BW. We have stayed at many BW on our trip and this was the first one that offered a Veterans discount rate. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would returning ever in this area again.

Great place for a business traveler the rooms are always clean and comfortable. The check in and check out is always easy. I stay every time I'm working in the area. I do not use the amenities of the hotel so I can't speak to them.

This hotel is old, outdated, hot and stinky! Checked in at 8:30 in the evening with reservations. 2 rooms on the main floor had been requested because there is no elevator. The clerk had to send staff to our reserved rooms twice to see if they were clean!!!! WHAT! It's 8:30 at night! Does a hotel usually clean at night??? Well the rooms were not clean, so we settled for rooms on the second floor. Down the hot, stinky hallway to the gross, dark stairway. Then down a long hall with the musty smell from the pool area. Ok. The room was clean. I think they just replaced the beds which were leaning against the hallway wall. No towels in one room. This property is NOT up to Best Western standards. A let down!! I have been a gold member for years with very favorable outcomes in the past but now I will think twice about BW on my next trip.

We had a late check-in and the room was ready and clean. Hotel staff was polite and helpful. The kids liked the breakfast offerings. Only con was that the hallway was very hot. This was just fine for a quick overnight stay.

Hotel is run down and dirty. Wooden floors in our room had not been swept and we had food crumbs and dirt and hair stuck to our feet. We mentioned it to the front desk staff, and they said they'd send someone up to sweep. A non-English speaking woman came up and didn't seem to understand the problem, left, and never came back to sweep. The bathroom was filthy and the toilet wouldn't stop running after flushed. Breakfast was awful: warm milk, stale pastries. Do not stay here.

Pros: Room was of good size and well maintained. Very clean, A/C was strong and not noisy. Had a fridge, large flat screen TV. Wifi worked very good. Beds were OK. It is easy to enter and exit from the Interstate. The room is good, the things outside are very detracting. Cons: As you enter, you will join a host of 18-wheelers as you are right beside a large truck stop. Don't expect a greeting from the sloppy and unfriendly reception staff. It's obvious that they consider you a bother. Be careful walking down the hall as there are power tools lying there unattended. Mattresses are stacked in one hall, but you have room to go around. There's no elevator to the second floor. Breakfast is, as one guest commented, edible. At least some of it was. Biscuits were so stale and hard a fork would not penetrate. Bacon was cold, but coffee was good. It was not the usual Best Western breakfast and we ate elsewhere. The room has three locks on the door...makes you wonder? We do not plan to return.

This hotel was easy to get to from the Interstate! It was very clean, staff was very helpful and they had a good hot breakfast and free Wifi! The rooms were very clean and I really liked the hard wood floors insted of the regular carpet! The bed was comfortable and they had THREE locks on the door!!! We would highly recommend this Best Western!!!

Had asked for joining rooms 2 months in advance because we have 4 kids. They said ok. Checked in and they said it wasn't possible. The front desk woman was not helpful or apologetic, just said no. Not happy about that. We should have just left. The bed was so creaky and lumpy, did not sleep a wink. Pool area was dirty, and the hot tub was closed. Cooked breakfast was not tasty. Thankfully they had cereal. The only thing I liked was the water pressure in the shower, that was nice.

There is no working hot tub. There is yellow tape around the area where the hot tub is. Someone said it has not worked for years. so reviews should stop mentioning it! The pool is very big, however I could not enjoy it. It was dirty. Had a piece of electric cleaning equipment plugged in (not turned on) and the cord was blocking most of the pool for use in actual swimming. The equipment was unattended in the night and the next morning. When I told the receptionist she said you could have swum anyway. Flippant attitude! The room size was good and so was the air con. The breakfast was good. It has hot food --waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Much better than mere continental. Very odd that hallways were not air conditioned and the back hallway in particular was much hotter than the side hallway.

After a wet awful 800 mile get started ride, arriving here was a delight. At about 7PM,My wife and i arrived in rain suits and weathered from the rough day. The Staff at the desk were great. They looked at us and smiled after we inquired as to where to get dinner. There statement to us was 'go get settled and come back to the desk. We have a free shuttle any where you want to go.' My wife and i went back to the room smiling and then returned to the desk. One of the staff took us to a restaurant and dropped us off and then returned to pick us up when we called. It was a perfect end to a rough day.

Our hotel room flooded with water. When we asked for help, the front desk told us that they were very busy. They were so inconvenienced by having to provide us any customer service for our flooded motel room. We asked for a refund on our room and the manager said he would have to think about it. We then followed up via phone call and were told that our stay would be refunded to our credit card. Two subsequent calls and two weeks later we have still not received a refund.

We stopped here on our weekend trip to Omaha. It was a nice hotel very clean and some of the rooms seemed to be getting remodeled they were taped off and it is right off the interstate .We were a bit sceptical when when pulled in it looks like a run down part of town next to a truck stop and the rooms have triple locks but we had no problems.The front desk staff wernt to friendly and growly. The lobby and breakfast are was nice and large and plenty of room to move when you get your breakfast witch is nothing fancy your average continental breakfast. The pool was amazing it is nice and large and 5 ft deep witch we love. You dont see many hotels with large deep pools. We were rather disappointed the hot tub was closed and blocked off with caution tap. That is one thing we look for in a hotel a good pool and hot tub. Over all we would consider staying hear again l.

Free shuttle tops this place off! Clean, amd parking is a breeze. Reservations were a bit of an issue, but all worked it great. I will definitely stay here again, instead of The casinos...way cheaper, quieter, and with the shuttle makes it a budget friendly trip

This hotel was advertised in one of the hotel travel books from the rest areas. We followed all directions to the proper exit and saw many hotels in the area. We drove around a bit and finally found this property but their large sign was not lit up so hard to find. We were given a room and directed around to back of hotel. There were trucks and semis on their road which made it hard to get to our area. The room was on 2nd floor (no elevator). Looking out our window we could see we were adjacent to a truck stop. Sooooo, we had the privilege of listening to trucks running all night as truckers slept in their cabs. Would suggest you choose another facility that has it's sign lit up and not connected to truck stop.

It was great and I really enjoyed it. Everyone was super welcoming, especially the front desk! I enjoyed staying there for a couple of days, and was happy to leave a review. Also the room was incredible!

There was nothing significant about this hotel. Was very average. Everything seemed clean but nothing to do and nowhere to go. This is the type of hotel that you stay at if you are just passing through or get tired at night and really need somewhere to stay.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for one night during our 6-day mid-west road trip. We had to cancel our car rental booking at the last minute due to a billing discrepancy with the car rental company at the airport, but we were not too concerned because our hotel had free airport shuttle. Just make sure to call well in advance to request the shuttle to avoid waiting long. The driver and the front desk clerk at night were very nice, and the check-in process was quick. The hotel is well-maintained and clean, and rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. Free breakfast was also included in our stay. Although there was no meat, it was all good. We really liked the eggs and biscuit with gravy. Compared to the other hotels where we stayed during this trip, this one had the most variety and the best-tasting food. The next day, we were lucky to find a rental car within 4 miles of the hotel, and were able to take the free shuttle there. Had the hotel not had this service available, our stay would have been a nightmare. We were all happy with our stay, and would definitely stay there again.

Our Family Reunion has been held here every year for 25 years. We love it! There is plenty of room in the pool area. The staff sets up tables for food that we bring in.. There are a lot of us. We play games and cards or just visit while the ones who want to swim are in the pool. The lounge area is comfortable with many sitting areas and T.V's. They have a continental breakfast area right there as well. The staff has been great to us. We also stay here other times during the year when we are traveling through.

We stayed here before flying out of Omaha. We were told we could have a ride to the airport at 5 am for our flight at 7:30 am. In the morning we could not find the desk clerk until 5:15 am and he told us the driver did not show up so we had to drive ourselves to the airport in a snowstorm. Also, the room was not clean. The flooring was not carpet and there was grit all over the place. There were stains on the linen and the pillows were half the size of normal pillows - hardly big enough for your head. The ceiling in the bathroom was a low drop ceiling and I hit my hands on it several times while showering. The price was fair but not for these conditions. We will not be staying there again.

When I pulled up I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to stay here. There were semi trucks everywhere and it is a bit of an industrial area. There had been a lot of snow and there were scarcely any parking spots available - they could have made more effort there. However, I had a call while I was traveling that I had been given a smoking room and they let me change my reservation which I very much appreciated. The inside of the hotel was much nicer than the outside. The common area is very nice and they had fresh coffee going all day. The room I had was very basic but it was clean, overall. While it was fine that the bedding wasn't changed for the 3 days I was there, I do think that housekeeping could be more discriminating when the bedding is stained. In this case, it happened to be rust stains but they should not have probably used those and sent them back to the laundry. The breakfast is very mediocre with the typical bland powdered eggs but there are a couple of food options close by if you didn't want to eat there. I would stay here again.

Contrary to their website info, our room did not have a hair dryer (discovered after showering), the TV remote would power up the TV but would not adjust volume or change channels, the laundry was right below us and washer/dryer doors were banged shut around midnight, and the hallway stunk of cigarette smoke. Breakfast was acceptable and the rate was fair had some of the issues not been present.

Great service , Great hotel highly recommended. Was traveling from Washington State home to Jacksonville Florida and have been staying in Best Western across country . Retiring after 26 years in the Navy and this has been by far our best hotel choice

The long North hallway between rooms 140-150 had a terrible sulfur or fireworks smell to it both days we were there. Hot tub was broke, another guest told us it hasn't been working in six years??? The water in the pool was so cold our grandsons lips were purple. Horrible experience. Hated the wooden floors in the room, so cold and uninviting. I don't know which to not trust during our next travels, Hotels.com or Best Western itself.

Trucker friendly, located next to a truck stop plus has their own truck lot. This property also has a courtesy shuttle to transport you anywhere within a five Mile radius. Breakfast is better than average.

The hotel itself is fine. The problem is the railroad tracks behind the hotel. The blaring of the train horns were unbearable. I'm not talking about a romantic whistle in the distance. This is two or three trains blowing nonstop, simultaneously, and loudly not far from our room. Add the dozens of semi trucks idling literally outside our room, and we didn't get any sleep at all! If you're a light sleeper like us, stay away! FAR AWAY!!

I have stayed at this property many times before. It had been a while since I had to travel to Omaha and I was very pleasently surprised. The rooms are beautiful, new furniture, beds, TV's etc. For the price, you can't beat this hotel. Great location as well, very close to the casinos and the Omaha Zoo.

We stay here every time we're in town. Love that the rooms have been updated. Had no remote in our room and we had someone with in 5 minutes with a remote! Kids enjoy the pool and I enjoy the tables and chairs where I'm able to relax and watch the kids swim.

We love getting a room at the end of the year to throw parties and swim in the pool! Pool was very warm also love how the front desk guy always calls me by my first name becausemy kids and I always stay there

Really like this place. Pet friendly. Alot nearby. Has undergone rennovation last visit. Well done in the classic Best Western. I like the consistency of their (BW) product. I am happy to say all 6 night of our driving trip are paid for with POINTS... very nice@

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby and breakfast area where very nice. The hotel room was nicely done, loved the hardwood/tile flooring. The bathroom really could use a makeover, but, everything was clean. I was traveling with my dog, and was in a pet friendly room. There were no lingering odors or remnants that a previous pet had been in the room.

Dirty sheets, uncleaned bathroom and skipped dusting in main room. Food was not all hot or cooked properly! Most certainly NOT what we normally experience when staying at a Best Western!!When checking out she said "I'll go right up and check out your room" we watched a bit and she didn't leave her desk. Sad!

We just finished our stay and I must say from beginning to end it was AWESOME. Greeted by Jeff at the front desk, who was fabulous. He was very friendly and courteous. Check in and out was very quick. He is excellent at his job. Hotel was very clean, quiet, and peaceful. Breakfast was great.

I stay here for work and it has had it's ups and downs through the years. Right now things are going pretty well here. The rooms are being renovated with most done. The location is good and the people who work the front desk are helpful.

Glad to have found this place on our seven week trip around U.S. I understand that rooms are newly remodeled but looks to me that just means fake wood floors which apparently have become the rage at certain price points. The rooms very tan-brown which I find a bit boring but the bed was comfortable. Maintenance seemed very good and the room was impeccable. The breakfast presentation won me over: chafing dishes, well-spaced offerings. Newspapers available free. I would suggest not to get a room on the back facing the semi's lounging for the night with their motors on.

We had a nice stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The attendant at breakfast was there to help with the waffle machine and see that everything was full and fresh. The pool was nice. Near restaurants and the casino.

We were on route to Atlanta Georgia and came back through again on way home and picked the best western. This chain is always top notch on cleanliness and food. Unfortunately the hot tub was closed both times for renovations but the pool was nice. Was super hot out so no worries. Would stay again.

We have stayed at a number of BW motels, but will never go back to this one again. Our room was on the back. Unfortunately, the laundry room was nearby. It was noisy and hot an steamy as they kept the doors open. Trucks parked behind the motel and ran engines and air conditioners all night long. NOISY! The outside hall doors were not locked so anyone could come in anytime. All in all an unsafe and uncomfortable stay.

This hotel was easy to access from the highway, and was located near several places to eat, as well as easy to find gas stations. A drawback was that since we had an interior room overlooking the pool, the noise level was a bit much, and the aroma of chlorine was a little overpowering. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and everyone seemed to be enjoying their morning.

This is the worst hotel! We found bed bugs and the owners deny it!! We are still fighting to get refunded and reimbursed for the stuff we had to throw out. The room was small, bathroom was small, ac ran all night and never worked at 60 degrees, and our tv was not working. Halls were hot and humid all the time. Pool had recycled hot ac air. Was cussed out by one of the owners, call corporate and they can do nothing except apoligize. Do not stay!!

This was the seediest dive hotel I have ever stayed at, the staff especially the maintenance guys did no maintenance at all and were usually no where to be found, the one guy was clearly twacked out on meth...it was also only obvious there was prostitution and drug deals occuring in the parking lot, there was mold on the bottom of the dry hard as rocks biscuits they served for breakfast, I would not be at all surprised if this place was INFESTED with BED BUGS! I will never stay here again and am writing corporate to report how very far below BW standards this place is, it needs to be shut down, I truly feared for my health and safety

If I could give it a negative number I definitely would!!!!! We had 2 rooms. 1 smelled like sewage the other backed up to the pool and had the chlorine smell coming into the room. The halls were very warm (hotel laundry area wide open looked like unsafe working conditions). There were unsupervised teens roaming the halls. Mak told us the manager told a group of people they could use the handicap spots to work on their car. So when asked if they had any other spots to park we were told we could park in the back with the semi's. Very disappointed-will NEVER be back and second-guessing ever staying at a Best Western again. Over priced and awful describes it best

Small double room, all very clean. Nice big bathroom. Inadequate toiletries. Bathtub drain was slow as molasses. Comfortable beds and nice bedding. This hotel is located right next to a very busy truck stop, so ask for a room on the quiet side. Lots of fast food places and convenience stores nearby.

Our one night stay was over priced and awful. $190 for a standard (yet creepy) room. Our room did not have an exterior facing window. Our window + window AC unit faced the oversized pool atrium. This was problematic for 3 reasons. 1) What the hell time of day is it? (A: Pool time... all the time, at least until 11). 2) Do you like the smell of chlorine? (A: You better if you want to stay here!). 3) Do you like to hear loud teenagers/ college age/ people who DGAF until at least 11pm as they scream and carry on in the pool (if you do... you should stay here). You might think the free breakfast is worth it. Nope, it's not because if you stay here you will want to get the heck out of dodge well before breakfast serving hours. Overall not a great place to stay for a family with young kids. In the future I don't even want to give this town another chance let alone this hotel. Also... the shower liner was heavily stained. And there was no fan in the bathroom so the whole room was a steamy mess. Lastly, who designs places like this? Were they going for an energy inefficiency award? Let's pump tropical forest level heat into a pool room, then have rooms face said pool room and put window AC units on all of those rooms and cool down that same air. ??

Luckily booked in advance as that week was the college World Series and room options WAY limited. It has an indoor pool, rooms and bath standard and clean. Breakfast is typical hotel chain but is included in the price. No parking fees. Quick drive downtown Omaha and the airport

The location isn't off the interstate is great, but it's also right next to a truck stop which had a lot of vagrants sleeping there, although they didn't approach or bother us. The lobby, breakfast area, front desk staff and housekeeping staff were awesome. The breakfast buffet was ok, but credit to the staff there that kept it full and clean, despite having a couple of baseball teams with hungry boys staying there. Since it's an old motel, there are no elevators, something to keep in mind if you don't want to haul luggage up and down the stairs. Just ask for a room on the first floor But, as others have said, the rooms are a bit tired. The AC units kept the rooms cool (despite the 100 degrees) but were noisy and smelled musty. The tiled floor was nice, as opposed to carpet. The in room refrigerators were larger than most, and actually kept things cool. I think it is appropriately priced at $89, but paying $199 during the CWS is a. Bit irritating

I really like this hotel. The staff was wonderful and i like my experience. Your hotel is 10/10 no hotel can beat you guys. I don't know how you guys do it i always will come back and never go anywhere else

I'm doing my annual road trip, making several stops along the way and usually a couple of Best Westerns this time three. This one I'm giving five stars. The front desk staff was very attentive at check in and my room was ready (I was early). My room was on the ground floor. With a view of the indoor pool, no morning sun but for one night it's was ok. No problem with my room clean and plenty of towels. Free breakfast, which was a free breakfast so what can you say. Free shuttle to any of the three casinos.

Probably the most comfortable bed ive slept on(including my own). The rooms are clean. Electrical outlets built into lamp bases are very handy. Pool is large but chilly, but there are huge space heaters in the overhead. Breakfast is above average but still has instant eggs, no glutenfree items except canadian bacon or occasional sausage links. Staff is very friendly and accomadating. I stay often and enjoy it. Close to Casinos, restaurants and convenient stores, shopping and I-80 and I-29.

We spent one night here and then went to the Zoo in Omaha which was only a few minutes away. It was much more reasonably priced than staying in Omaha. The lobby/breakfast area had a ton of seating for groups to gather. The pool room was also enormous but the temp in the pool room was way too hot. The room we stayed in was very nice with laminate floors. The breakfast was also ran very well and tasty.

I routinely use BW hotels and I really only care about a comfortable bed and good nights sleep. This hotel has a comfortable bed, but a good night sleep was next to impossible due to the extremely loud air conditioner. We switched out of our first room (very helpful front desk clerk) due to the wall mounted A/C unit being so loud that we couldn't even hear the TV. The second room was really no better, and to make it worse, the unit would cycle from a low hum to a loud roar. I slept with earplugs and I could still hear the A/C unit throughout the night. The rest of the hotel is fine for the price – motif is a little outdated (vinyl faux wood floors), and most of the place in need of a paint job, but no big deal. The indoor pool is nice, but it is sweltering hot due to the fact that the surrounding rooms have A/C units that all dump hot air into the enclosed pool area – I guess it was upwards of 90 degrees while the outside temp was maybe around 75. Overall, nice staff, standard continental breakfast, comfy beds, and good water pressure in the showers. I normally would say it's a good hotel for the price, but the A/C units just killed any chance of me giving this hotel more than 2 of 5 stars.

During the first night at the hotel, somehow I could not get into a full sleep as I was feeling itchy on my body. Yet I did not give a thought that it might have been bed bugs at all, in a modern hotel, not a backpackers' or youth hostel. After all, the room itself smelled of dirt and a bit like a warehouse when I first got into the room. So I thought that it was just my body reacting to the dirt, feeling a little itchy. Nonetheless, the itch was getting worse and worse from different parts of my body and I couldn't stand it. So I decided to turn on the light and check what was going on. Then, I got to find some bites swelling up on both of my wrists, hands and arms, and I reached out my arms to my back to find bunch more bites from the upper back to the back of my neck. I got frightened and started investigating the bed. Soon after, I located two bed bugs under the pillows so I killed them - the two retaining my blood (supposedly) in them burst. I took off my sleeping clothes and located another one creeping on the trouser so I killed it too. Subsequently, I found two more small and regular-sized bed bugs in the bed and on the lamp next to the bed, but they jumped away when I tried to kill them. All in all, I witnessed five bed bugs that night, but there might have been more out of my sight. It was like I slept in the hive of bed bugs. I called the reception desk and asked if they had any other vacant room at the moment. They said

This hotel needs some serious cleaning. The hallways smell and the ceilings and baseboards are filthy. It needs some updating and a major overhaul. Wouldn't not recommend this hotel. We also paid way too much for the quality of room as it was 247.00! Only because all hotels in area were sold out....

I booked the room for 48.00 per night and had to pay 63.20 per night. Make sure that if you use any of the on line booking people that you check there prices and that the price that they give you is the same price they say.

Night staff was very nice and accommodating since the first non-smoking room we were checked into had not been cleaned - dirty linens, dirty sheets, trash cans filled, etc. She then gave us a new room on the first floor that was non-smoking, as soon as we opened the door we knew someone had been smoking in the room, and then upon inspection found a hamburger wrapper and cigarette carton on the floor between the wall and the bed. The bed was dirty at the foot of it where it appeared someone with dirty shoes had had their lunch (rooms being remodeled) and the remote control case was covered in ketchup and mustard. We went back to the front desk and told them about the issues in the second room, she was very nice and apologetic. We told her since it was late and we were exhausted we would stay in the room but wanted to be sure they knew it was not us smoking. Then the next morning when we checked out the man at the front desk was rude, accusing us of lying about the dirty rooms, smoking, etc. Why would we make this up!

Large clean quiet room with a great bed. Nice friendly staff. Quick check in. This was a large hotel yet quiet. Large selection for breakfast. There was a mistake on our bill that they fixed in seconds. Will definitely stay there again.

We have been staying at this hotel for the past 6 years, on our way to California for the winter. This year when we came, it was not the same. We had a lot of tiny bugs in our room under the chair. When I went to sit at the table and pulled out the chair there seemed to be apieceof food from previous guest on the floor which was not cleaned up. My husband had to stomp on them several times as there were many. When I said I was going to phone the front desk, he said not to complain. There was no hair dryer in the room, and I never noticed until I got out of shower. But, I did callfront desk and they brought me one. The breakfast was not what it was in previous years. Lots of cutbacks. The beds were very comfortable and we got a good night sleep. The halls could have been cleaner. The young man behind counter was very nice.

I have 2 children with birthdays in the winter months so it's awesome to have a decent prices hotel with a pool that we can have hotel party's at and the pool stays open until 11pm. Always have a great experience at this place they even know me by name now!

The staff here are friendly and accomodating. The beds are so comfy. Breakfast served until 10:00 am. Nice lobby with plenty of comfortable places to sit and read or watch tv. The indoor pool is heated and quite spacious. I like this location so much I have stayed here six nights in the past twelve months.

I had one of the worst experiences ever I've had in a hotel. The staff was unprofessional and rude , we had horrible service , and the rooms were very untidy and not well kept. The hotel was under renovation at the time, and they were was no signs or anything. Overall, a horrible experience I would recommend people to stay away from such a hotel.

Great place, friendly employees, nice pool, great breakfast with roomy dining area. Only thing I would criticize is the noise in the room from above and adjoining rooms. You can easily hear what people are doing.

Quite a few of the rooms are under renovation but once they are complete i believe this will be a real nice place to stay. The indoor heated pool is pretty big. the hot tub (closed at the time) is very large also. The exercise room needs a little work. The breakfast had the best waffles i've had in awhile.

We had a pleasent time with our grandson, He loved the pool. Bed were nice and breakfast was good. Close to main I-80 alot to do in area, Went to close Movie and Casino. Tv was new and a big one. We liked that.

Very good value, including nice breakfast and helpful staff. Only complaint was the loud noise of the heater, which made it hard for me to get to sleep. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel. We were traveling, so were just there overnight. Located right off the freeway was convenient.

Really enjoyed my stay here yet again. Anytime I'm in the Bluffs or Omaha Area love staying here for the quiet and comfort that this place has to offer. Staff is pretty helpful with all my needs and rewards program that BW has to offer is amazing. Will definitely comeback again when I'm in this area.

Overall the hotel was good, but during the night around two thirty, someone gained access to our room, turned the light on and when they realized they had the wrong room slammed the door shut with the lights left on. We thought those electronic door keys were only good for one room. Scarry

Staff was distracted by TV, Family, and friends. Every time I encounter a staff member they were busy with another employee or family member and acted like I was a distraction. The dogs in the breakfast area and sitting at table was not my way of sharing breakfast. I thought the facility had a no smoking/no pet policy. I know I had to sign my compliance at checkin.

Arrived late after driving from St. Louis on Dec. 15th. Cold & windy outside so happy to be in a warm room. Had dog with us so we were happy there were grassy areas nearby to walk him. 1 of eight BW we stayed in during 16 night & 16 city trip. all were very reasonable, comfortable & pet friendly.

Stay for a night with my family here. Nice location, easy to access from highway and has plenty of eateries nearby. Rate is affordable, good swimming pool and fitness centre. Friendly staff, spacious room & perfect amenities with microwave, fridge & coffee maker. Only improvement needed is room cleanliness. Overall, it is perfect for a family weekend getaway.

The bathtub drain was very sluggish and the tub filled with water when we were taking a shower. It took more than half an hour before it drained. The bathroom sink stopper was detached and was upside down on the sink.

stayed here while visiting my brother in hospital 6 days offered trips to air port or anywhere we wanted to go they were very accomadating to our needs during our stay as they always are used computer room and printed flight tickets watched football in the front room on big screen and popped us some popcorn.

Was pleased with my stay. Was upgraded as a diamond select, but the hot tub was broken, but it was a nice room in spite of it. Was really pleased with the stay. I would definitely go back. Was walking distance to a little bar restaurant that was a bit spendy, but really good.

Stayed here for the night with the family. The rooms are a comfortable space, very clean and comfortable beds. The breakfast was very tasty and the variety offered exceded my expectations (compared to other places I've stayed overnight). Front desk and breakfast area is huge. Didn't have the opportunity to check-out the pool but it was open until 11 pm. Very nice personnel, and overall a very pleasant experience. Will definitely have it in mind for the next occasion that I need a place to stay with the family

The room was clean, neat and efficient. Bed was comfortable. Only problem we had was upon check in and we wanted to pay cash and use our CC for amenities deposit. We were told we would have to give them a $500 cash deposit and our credit card. Have never heard of this before. We are diamond members and did not really receive the service a diamond member would receive. We were not offered our snack/drink or even welcomed. Front desk seemed very distracted that night.

Needed a one night stay for a concert at Mid-America Center. Pros: shuttle to the arena, staff were very friendly, bed was comfortable. Cons: We were in a non-remodeled room that was very aged. Given a room directly across from rooms under construction, hallways are tight, bed is nearly against the wall making it awkward to get out on both sides, "view" was of the pool area. Service was great so maybe staying in a remodeled area would have been better. That would not have changed the view however and would recommend an outside room unless you want to watch the pool & have them watch you. Continental breakfast was average. Nothing fancy, but adequate for a stayover. Biggest pro for us was the shuttle to and from the arena for our concert - that was a nice bonus.

Remodeling rooms. Breakfast and guest area is huge and nice. Pool was a little cold for me but it was a really nice indoor area. Parking lot out back could use a little gravel touch up. Front desk people were really helpful. Not a ritz Carlton but great value for the money.

Room recently updated and very clean. Pleasantly surprised on how nice the room was for the price that was paid for a night's stay. Halls still smelled of stale smoke, but that is a usual smell in older hotels. I had to leave very early and did not get to enjoy the free breakfast.

I don't like leaving negative reviews but this is one for the record books for having been so poorly treated and humiliated by a front desk clerk. We pulled in late and there wasn't any place to park up front so we pulled around the side. Our vehicle took several spots. Figured we would find a better place to park once settled into the room as a semi with a trailer was taking multiple spots and a pickup with a cargo trailer was taking multiple spots. We weren't familiar with the layout of your facility and there were no signs stating large vehicle parking in back. We no more than stepped into the lobby and the lady at the desk came at us barking like a Chihuahua about how we can't park there and she watched us on the camera and it is NOT ALLOWED and there is parking out back. We had to get up to the counter to even understand what her problem was. She went on and on and about how there is parking in the back and there are cameras and she watches them all night. The only time she doesn't watch them is when she's doing paperwork (at this point she REALLY needed to stop... but she wouldn't... and the barking continued about the cameras). She tried to make my husband go behind the counter to look at her monitors so he could see her cameras she watches and where we were supposed to park. He refused and asked about the trucks taking up so many spots. She cut him off and wouldn't said they were there before she got there or they wouldn't be there. No one parks like THAT while SHE is there. Well, management, please take note. We spend over 200 nights a year on the road staying in motels and hotels. This lady takes the cake for her uncalled for behavior. If she wants to be security detail, she needs to find a job in security. But her constant barking about the cameras and people coming out of the field (yes, she said that several times) and her general bad attitude toward us was absolutely uncalled for. I got very little sleep because I was angry, and I wondered how safe this place really was if your cameras need constant monitoring like that. All that was needed to be said from the moment we stepped foot into the lobby was, "Hey, I noticed you parked over here. We have a large lot out back for bigger vehicles. It's well lit and we have cameras back there so you'll feel safe." Short, sweet, simple and there would have been no problems. But, we'll never stay there again now.

Hotel was clean, good service, friendly, attentive staff. Decent breakfast. Large dining area and a lot of seating for breakfast. Hotel does need updating. Close to casinos, restaurants, Bass Pro, gas stations, etc... We would stay here again.

Room 227 is nice, clean and the AC unit works great. The shower had a lot of water pressure and the bed was very comfortable I was very pleased with our stay. There is no hot tub but the pool is nice and heated. There were a lot of items for breakfast including waffles, eggs, ham, biscuit, and gravy, etc. I would stay here again and again with the services I received. Employees are very helpful as I must have a COLD room (hot flashes) and they changed my room for me until I was happy.

We stayed at the Best Western Sept. 8th - Sept 10th 2017.We were very happy to get 2 adjoining rooms with the other 2 rooms right across the hall (they were adjoining also). We just left the doors open so everyone could go back and forth between rooms, perfect!! We were there to go to the Henry Doorly Zoo (another place I recommend!) which is only 3.7 miles away from the hotel. They even have a 6 person shuttle that will take you there and pick you up! The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was nice with a mini fridge, microwave, wifi (didn't have much luck the one time I tried to connect), beds were comfortable, big fluffy pillows, and it was reasonably clean and quiet. Our window looked out on the pool. Our kids rooms across the hall apparently hadn't been updated yet, they weren't as happy with them, they didn't think theirs were that clean and there were a few other issues, which is why I took off 1 star. Hopefully next time all rooms will be remodeled. As others have said, the hallways needed vacuuming, but with construction going on there's always a mess. The indoor pool is huge and clean, but very humid if you're not in the water. There is a nice enclosed area outside so you can sit and watch the kids through the sliding doors too. We just took our beer out there and sat in the evening. The hot tub was out of order. The breakfast and sitting area is wonderful, and the food is good. Waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereal, eggs, ham, muffins, bagels, toast, yogurt, apples and bananas, juices, milk, coffee, and tea. They ran out of a majority of food by the time our late sleeping kids got there, nothing was refilled even though there were people still coming for breakfast, so get there early! For the price we paid it was a great stay.

Our room was comfortable--had comfortable beds, two comfortable chairs and a table, and adequate lighting for reading. Bathroom was small, but okay. One of the three rooms we rented didn't have a remote control in it, so couldn't change channels (never did get one even though we called down to the desk three times).

Traveling from SD to MO and this was a convenient stop for us. The outside appearance could use a little TLC but the staff was very friendly and the room was clean with a very comfortable bed. I did not take advantage of the breakfast but it looked like they had a lot of choices in a nice large area near the lobby.

Fluffy pillows, nice layers of blankets and sheets, small fridge, freezer box shelf. Broken spring-back filthy upholstered chair. Mattress needs to be replaced. Carpet needs a deep cleaning and vacuumed corners. Bathroom grout had one corner still white. The wifi worked the evening we checked in and was locked out the next morning. Check-In area was being remodeled. Please continue with the rooms. As the woman who opened the side door for us as we fumbled for our key said, “I would assume if you were breaking in, you would choose a better place”.

We had quite an experience at this Best Western hotel! We made this reservation on the road the morning of the night we checked in. Everything went smooth with the phone reservation. But when we got there we found the hotel under heavy remodeling. It is a huge BW. There was furniture pushed back everywhere and the smell of drywall was obvious. Check in went well with a little wait. We were given our room keycards and directed how to get there. It was a long walk and no elevator to second floor. The room seemed fine at first glance. We were arranging some baggage when someone opened the door to our room! The desk had sent two ladies up to stay in the room. They were so sorry and apologized as they went back to the front desk. We called and reported it. The desk clerk apologized and then another night clerk called later and apologized again. That was a first for us. Upon inspection, we realized the room needed a deep cleaning from the drywall work that had been done . The shower curtain was ripped and needed replacing also. We slept well though and everything was fine after all the commotion. Breakfast was great with a lot of choices. As we checked out we showed the clerk the bill that they had slid under the door in the early morning. It was more than what we were told the room would be. They were sorry for the mix up and Alex corrected it promptly. The problems were stemming from some computer issues she said. We were happy and went on our way with the grab and go bags Best Western gives guests. They have fruit, cereal bars and water bottles in them. It's nice for the road. Hopefully they will soon be through with their remodeling!

We were comfortable and well supportedf by the front desk. The hotel is located on the edge of the metro area,but it offers guests free rides in a shuttle car to restaurants and other destinations. Rooms large, beds comfortable, front-desk staff especially helpful. Breakfast room is large--far larger than elsewhere--and furnished with high-quality furniture.

The air conditioning was spectacular, the price was excellent, the room was quiet, also had a small frig & microwave. The bath tub lacked a stopper, and they immediately came and fixed it. The breakfast had many selections, fresh fruit, raisin bread, cake, eggs, ham, gravy, donuts, juice, yogert & waffles.

A great place to stay when ever I am in the area I prefer this chain and particularly this motel, the staff is very professional and well trained the key to success is their smile which takes me back.

My stay was pleasant just like any other time I stay here. The staff is very friendly and Nan was doing breakfast that morning and we had a nice conversation. They are remodeling the hotel and so far I like what I see. It's a long process but is coming along fine. Plenty of parking around the building. Rooms are clean.

First it appeared there was remodeling going on at the main desk, and the hallways were hot and humid, which I found a bit strange. The room was clean, however there was hint of something in the air I couldn't place. The air conditioner was set to 60 degrees, however it barely kept the room at about 70. The queen beds were very comfortable and bathroom shower was good. Spacious pool very warm and humid in the area like there was no ventilation. The hot tub was out of service maybe for remodeling. The breakfast was very good and had much to choose from. It was adequate for the one day stay but not the best Best Western I have ever stayed at...just say'n...

We stopped here on our way to Minnesota trailering a boat which I was concerned with as far as security. The staff at the front desk was very helpful to us, got us a couple of rooms and a well lit place to park the truck and boat which was monitored by CCTV. I was very pleased with the stay, the staff, the room and the breakfast. I never heard the train or all the trucks near by.

We had three rooms during Labor Day Weekend. Our rooms were very clean, breakfast was adequate - nice tummy filler, but what made this stay exceptional was the staff. We had our elderly mother with us and the shuttle driver was very patient and respectful. It truly made me smile. Highly recommend this place!

I would recommend staying here. It's a very nice hotel and very friendly staff. The internet worked perfectly. The room was perfect. There was lots of room. We had a little trouble with the TV but was quickly fixed by staff. Easily accessible off the Interstate.

The room was a little small but had amenities that made up for it. The continental breakfast and pool were easy to access and was given breakfast time while registering. The hotel staff were very understanding and resolved our one issue immediately.

The hotel is nicely remodeled and the room was comfortable, however a train went by every few hours blowing its horn, which made for a less than good night of sleep. Not sure if it was just the location of our room, near the back of the hotel, but I would definitely ask about the location of the tracks. Breakfast was good, nice large area and well stocked.

Our rooms were very clean. We stayed during the week and it was peaceful. Very friendly front desk person checking us in. A gentleman from housekeeping let us into our room when we lock ourselves out.

Very pleased with our room. Front desk made sure we were at the back, close to exit doors for our ESA, BreeZee. And their breakfast was superior! Provide shuttles to any casino, too!! Right off a Main Street..it was so quiet. Clean and nice smelling. All the staff were very helpful.

Best Western has always served us well on our travels and this was no different, even while under major construction remodel. Had a comfortable bed in a clean room with a fantastic breakfast to send us on our way. Knowing there was construction, we didn't have high expectations on appearance and understand the need to be patient as the necessary work needs to be accomplished. Will definitely return.

My wife and I travel (Sightseeing) a lot -- all over the U.S.A. -- If we don't stay in a Best Western, it's because there isn't one at our destination -- or they are booked solid. To be honest -- we have never had a bad experience at one of their Hotels...

This was the strangest building configuration I've ever seen. How does a room not have a window to the outdoors? The desk clerk told us we were in a newly remodeled room so we got our hopes up. We entered our room and it seemed really dark but when we opened the curtains - it was still really dark! The window looked into a large dark indoor room. It was like sleeping in a cave. Kind of creepy. The dining room was large and appeared to be relatively new but it too seemed really dark and no one seemed too happy to be working there. This was my second stay here in a couple years but don't think I'll be back. On the other hand, the people who seemed to be "regulars" seemed quite satisfied with the place.

We were on cross-country road trip, and the Omaha/Council Bluffs area is a convenient stopping place in one or other direction. The hotel is somewhat dated, but upgrades are underway. The staff are friendly and helpful; parking is not a problem, and the are a number of restaurants nearby.

Took 5 grandchildren 7 great grandchildren 6 adults to the omaha Henry Dooraly Zoo shop at joanns went to west omaha had American food. Checked out baseball diamond not that it is finished. Ate supper in CB

This hotel is currently undergoing renovation but the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. It was very apparent that they had been inconvenienced as well with the construction but everyone we encountered was very pleasant, helpful and courteous and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied.

Traveling for work and journeyed through Council Bluffs, IA. I found lots of construction going on in the parking lot, main entrance and various locations throughout the facility. The rooms were pretty nice but nothing extra. Internet worked very good and the bed was comfortable.

This was our third night on the massive road trip with my elderly parents to Mount Rushmore. The rooms were clean and the desk help was very friendly. Compared to the other reviewers we must have been in a room that was updated because we did not experience any problem with broken equipment. Breakfast was okay. My parents handicapped accessible room had poor shower pressure, but it was fine in our foom.

By far the worst best western hotel we have ever stayed at. We booked a king suite with jacuzzi on best western online with our platinum membership number and the room was not avail when we arrived as the apparently only have one suite !!! The room itself was showing its age and the tub had hair in it. The bed sheets were totally unacceptable as the were dirty and stained as shown in the included picture. Certainly not what we expect from a best western brand hotel. NOT RECOMMENDED

This hotel is being remodeled - wait until the work is done to judge... we stayed in a room with a broken window, crumbs in the bed and a weird green hue to our tv, but they are redoing the rooms and the decor looks like it will be nice when it is fixed up

I understand this hotel is a budget friendly hotel- $90/night with discounts and tax... however, I do not like broken toilet seats, spiders in bathtub, hairs on bathroom floor, a large bubble in the tub liner, unsecure outside entry doors, broken ice machines, and the smell of mold nearly everywhere in the hotel. The parking lot looked like a used car lot- with beat up and rusting cars everywhere. One positive, the pool is a large concrete pool- the kind that are hard to find anymore. We really liked its size, but the pool area as a whole is a bit "shady" feeling.... no furniture, odd empty spaces, no staff around at all, wet towels left on sides of the pool, glass entry doors to the pool area were all open and only half of the area was lit.... leaving it just dark and odd. From what the breakfast staff told me, they are undergoing renovation, so I understand some of the mess, but the weirdness was not explained. I would not recommend this hotel. There are better options for $100/night range.

This hotel does need some updating. It was hot inside. The rooms were clean, but had that updating need feeling. The pool could be very nice, but for those of us just watching our kids, there was no airflow and it felt like a very hot sauna that you could barely breathe in. Good news was that this was a one night stop and we were on the road again. No complaints with service. Not the worst one night hotel, not the best.

My wife and I stayed at Crossroads for an overnight stay during a road trip to the northwest. Our room was clean and comfortable. Tge lack of an elevator for 2nd floor access was a negative as mentioned in another recent review. Breakfast was better than normal for this price hotel.

This was booked on Internet Hotels and misrepresented by an employee from that website. I was told I was getting a king, nonsmoking room. The price he was quoting was more than the website showed. The employee said the rate shown online was the rate the hotel charges not Internet Hotel rates. Because he kept double talking and confusing me, my husband said to just make the reservation. Upon check in, the motel employee said the room was not available for check in and was a room for someone with a disability. I said I did not book that type of room, I wanted a king room, non smoking. The motel employee said a king was not available. I said I had just booked the room a few minutes ago. They said they couldn't help me since it was booked through Internet Hotels. They offered a double queen room in exchange but could not give me the lower price they rent that room for because I booked initially with Internet Hotels. I could not cancel the first reservation because Internet Hotels would not allow a cancellation. After the problem with the room, I found out there was NO ELEVATOR in the 2 story motel! All bags, etc. had to be carried upstairs! We were travelling out of state and had an ice chest, many other pieces of luggage, golf clubs, and baskets with food, etc. The temperature that night was sweltering, the motel had no AC in hallways and no AC on any of the floors! The AC worked in the room only! In addition, one of the ice machines was not working and there was no ice machine on the 2nd floor where our room was. The motel was dirty and the outdoor areas were also. I will never book a Best Western again!

This BW had a great room decor and was super dog friendly. The outside isn't much to look at but don't let that fool you. The staff were nice, the rooms were basically new, and the price was great. The only negative was the breakfast, but even that was edible and a better option than having to eat drive-thru or gas-station food (which happens when you're traveling alone with dogs across the country!)

The room was like sleeping in a basement. The refrigerator had to be replaced and the air conditioner sounded like there was broken plastic in it. The filters of the AC looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The pool room was at least 110 degrees and there was broken furniture sitting in hallways.

Easy access from the interstate. Located close to services and entertainment. Has a shuttle service to the local area which is nice when going to the casinos. Front door service. Second time we've stayed there and would definitely go back.

For the value, this is a good place that's close to the zoo. The first impression when pulling into the parking lot is that it's very outdated and needs work. The location was great as we were driving through the area and wanted to be near highways. My husband also went to a College World Series game and it was only 10 minutes away (I believe there was a shuttle but the 6 times I tried to talk to someone about it they were too busy and never picked up the phone or there was a line when I went to the desk.) Our room was clean. The pool was decent but a little cold. The breakfast had great choices and a nice, large sitting area (the lobby area is well set up). Just wish service had been better, everything else was fine. Our room was near the back of the hotel and wifi was really spotty and we couldn't do much on it.

Terrible untrained staff, phone, ice machine, and staff did not work the hall ways were like an oven I will never stay there again and I will never recommend it to any one. I will tell anyone who asks not to stay there!

Hotel was HOT, no elevator, right next to truck stop with litter in driveway and parking area, only one person on desk at busy times. They do offer free shuttle services which we were not interested in

I wasn't sure at first if this hotel was going to be okay seeing that the price was on the inexpensive end, but I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice modern room with a great bed. The hot tub wasn't open which was a bit of a disappointment, but the pool was decent. A great breakfast in the morning was really a plus -- much nicer than the vast majority of similar type hotels -- great staff I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again

I just returned home from my stay. Location was easy to find. Clean enough. The suite room was roomy, with the jetted tub right by the bed. I can't comment about the pool, but the private tub was well worth splurging for. The free shuttle to any restaurant within a certain radius was perfect after a long day of driving. Either the neighbors were quiet or the walls were good at blocking it out. Breakfast had some miss items, but the big chocolate cake was a great surprise. Also, the free water bottles when I checked out really helped me on my trip to zoo. I had few complaints. The current lock issue I was warned about was a bummer, but once it's fixed, I can really recommend it because I for one enjoyed my stay more than I expected to.

Unfortunately, our trip ended with a stay at the location. Very small room with too much furniture for its size; it was loud, noisy a/c kept us up all night; front desk didn't seem to care; dusty hallways from maintenance & renovations; dogs coming & going a night & barking; no clean area to walk outside; poor customer service; very disappointed.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. Great value for the price we paid. Newly renovated, great free breakfast, quick check in and nice facilities overall. The only downfall was that they had just banquet chairs in the rooms instead of something more permanent. This could just be because of a recent renovation. Also, they don't advertise a hot tub, but they do have one on site that was not open... This could be why they don't advertise it. It would be a nice addition though if it was working.

I stay here for work and the location is very central. The rooms are nice and the staff is very helpful. It is a great location for doing most Council Bluffs and Omaha places and events. I would stay here if I wasn't in a work situation. The whirlpool doesn't work and hasn't for a while. It would be nice to have it working.

Great experience for the most part. Good value for an overnight stay while travelling from Colorado to Wisconsin. Friendly front desk staff, clean and welcoming front entrance and lobby. The room was clean and nicely furnished with coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. Breakfast had great choices and was nicely presented. very clean breakfast room. The only issue I had a concern about is the fact that the exterior entrance doors that are away from the lobby were not locked or otherwise secured, anyone off the street could enter the building and be in the hallways. I would not stay here with children for this reason alone.

don't expect much! no concern for customers at all. Hotel was booked due to NCAA baseball tournament. more than $200 a night. hair dryer shut off about evey 30 seconds, asked the front desk for replacement---reply was they would check and get back to me. waited 20 minutes no reply needless to say it took forever to dry hair with it shutting off continually.. good thing i didn't have a flight or a meeting to get to. toilet was not flushing completely called desk they sent a plunger continued to have to flush numerous time. probably need a roto-rooter. back entrance was filthy--still in same shape at check-out. no response from front desk at check-out didn't even look at me when i said i was disappointed in my stay

This Best Western Property does not live up to the BW standards. While the hotel is conveniently located near gas stations and eating places, the interior of this property is not up-to-date, smells musty and is just your average hotel room. The room was not dirty yet it was not super clean like that of a quality BW property. We could not find the elevator so not sure if there is one. The hot tub was closed. Call before you make reservations if a hot tub is a make or break it deal. The breakfast area is very clean and the there is a variety of breakfast items.

Used my free night through Hotels.com while driving through the Midwest. In this case maybe I got what I paid for. Not much. Pros: easy check in; pleasant staff; clean room; manufactured wood floors. Cons: room smelled strongly of disinfectant and was located by outside entrance and the ice machine; tv didn't work but was promptly fixed; breakfast was subpar (packaged food, eggs were probably made from packaged mix, weak coffee); no close restaurants

Excellent breakfast, everything else top notch. Beds and linens great, location perfect for our trip. Staff was very helpful answering our questions about the area. Our room was clean, and the amenities all you would expect.

The ambience is really good and the staff are courteous and friendly. Amenienties are really good and the breakfast is nutritious and tasty. Omaha is about a 10 minute drive and a beautiful place to explore. The Hotel is located in a nice quiet location. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area.

We stayed 1 night at this location, and previously stayed here in the past. The rooms are being updated, which seemed like a nice addition, and they have a big pool, however there were several major flaws. First, the key card mechanism to get in your doors are still extremely outdated, so it took perfect timing (or just luck) to actually get the correct timing. This was not just our door, but every person we saw try to get in their room was having issues. The room next to us had to try almost a dozen times at 11pm at night to try to get in. The back door was not secured, despite having a key card strip to get in. It was unlocked our entire stay, day/night. And when we stayed here before, over a year ago, the hot tub was being fixed, but was still under repair when we came this time as well. Trains blared horns all night, which must have been more noticeable being in an exterior room this time compared to an interior room last time. We got this room under $100 for the night so I didn't expect it to be the Double Tree, but still was disappointed at the issues we ran into.

Check in clerk was very nice and explained how to easily maneuver around the confusing layout. Room was to small for two beds. Appearance was old, ironing board was old and in bad shape. Hard to adjust water temp, towel rack was falling out of the wall.

Very disappointed in our stay. Totally over priced, the room smelled and poor lighting, found ANTS all of the room. The pool area smelled and was very hot, it was an enclosed area with no ventilation.

The first thing I noticed when I got to the room was that the door wasn't latched shut. After I went in, I really had to push it shut with all my weight to get it to latch. There was a nice work desk and a comfy chair, but very few plug-ins, only a couple available for charging phone, tunes, etc... Lighting was also pretty sparse, and hard to see, even with all the lights on. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was one of the best I've had at a hotel, very nice. Breakfast was pretty standard, but well-stocked. One surprising annoyance was the cleaning crew. At 8am, they were going room to room, knocking on doors, talking VERY loud in the hallway, and just being very noisy in general. I was just getting up then, but if I wanted to sleep past 8, there was no way they were going to let that happen.

there were ants, especially flying ants, in the bathroom in the morning. This would fit my description of a "flea bag" hotel. Also, the bathtub would not drain after taking a shower. Location was good for me since I needed to travel south. Close location to casinos and to a barbeque restaurant.

I have stayed there before. Very nice Hotel and very nice people. When I Checked in the gentleman who checked me in was very nice and helpful. I needed to was some clothes and he showed me where the laundry room was. Also he gave me soap detergent to use as well. Plenty of restruants in the area. Real nice truck parking in back of Hotel.also nice rooms. I usually have a good stay and good nights sleep at Best Western Hotels.

This is another new BW for me. As always I select a property that is close to the Games venue. I had very easy access to the venue from the Crossroads so there was no rush to get there and I had time to partake of the awesome breakfast and also use the exercise room, which had just what I needed to get ready for my events. Talk about location, the Crossroads has it all with just over a mile (walking distance). 17 screen theatre, mall, casino, several great places to eat, Ruby Tuesdays and Hooters plus the restaurants in the Casino. Getting to the hotel is just a couple quick turns off I-80 and your there. I should mention the wonderful indoor swimming pool. This is a plus for those of you that have kids. For the adventurous just across the river is Omaha and all it has to offer. What a great place to stay when you're traveling cross country on I-80.

Booked my room a month in advance, when I got there hotel was over booked ,so they had only a few smoking rooms left at 1st they said i could go to another hotel or they would comp my room if I wanted to stay in a smoking room ( they are disgusting & repulsive smelling we had spiders, sink was broke & tonite barely flushed )and they would fix it tomorrow , we i just traveled 12hrs from Wyoming and my son was staying here with his wrestling team so I agree , well next day no one had a clue to what was happening & they would move me to 2 king rooms next to each other so I had a bed for my kids rm122&124, I said ok and went to our wrestling tournament , well when I came back to check into my new room , they once again had no idea what I was talking about, & were overbooked with 1 king room ( the remodeled room was nicer but bathtub shower was broken & we had ants, tonite don't flush right) left, I could have it & they would comp it but there only 1 bed, I agree ded since I really had no choice, so I go to check out the next day and get a bill for 2 nights in the smoking room, went to front desk , and AGAIN no one had any idea what I was talking about, had no manager to talk to , they said he was sleeping , we said ok we have breakfast while you get a hold if him , so after breakfast , she talked to the Manager & he said we'll we are not comping the 2night bill for the smoking room she said she could not help me all I can do was file a complaint with Best western THIS HOTEL IS DIRTY ,SMELLY & GHETTO if you have a choice DO NOT STAY HERE!, extreamly unprofessional rude help at front desk & they will promise you one thing and afterwards act like they have no idea what your talk about !!!

When we head south for the winter we always stay here for our first night. It is very comfortable, clean and friendly staff. They also have a very good breakfast. We look for a hotel that is affordable as we are Canadians and with the dollar difference it comes out quite a bit more.

The rooms are exceptionally clean and the pool was in a pretty cool add on building which I assumed was once on the outside. The hot tub was not working at the time but the breakfast in the morning was really good. Hot food, good coffee, and an overall great place to stay

The hotel was very clean, Jeff was working the front desk and took very good care of us. The breakfest was ok, not great, not bad... The room was clean and stocked, however the A/C unit didnt cool very well and was very loud.

It was a last minute booking and the rate was extremely reasonable. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is a bit dated. The breakfast was about the norm for a breakfast included hotel. The AC unit was a draw back it sounded like a small prop plane every time it cycled through. The evening clerk Jeff that checked us in was extremely helpful and polite. Would probably stay there again when passing through. Located close to the casinos.

I'd love to give this place four stars, because it was clean, reasonably up to date, and the breakfast was good with ham and scrambled eggs, in addition to the standard continental fare, but there were two problems: a heating/cooling unit that sounded like a freight train and woke me up every twenty minutes when it came on (big problem); and, unlike the five other Best Westerns we have stayed at in the past year, it didn't have cookies in the lobby (small disappointment). This hotel has an interior hallway, unlike some BW's, and I view that as a plus, and they included a Papa John's coupon on the key card, thus making it easy to get room service pizza.

Best Western Crossroads was a [nice hotel] Quiet, comfortable,clean. Double check your reservation. online & at the front desk. Because might make a mistake on , how many rooms you might need. But my experience was satisfactory.

We did not book ahead and were able to get a room with the help of the staff at the front desk. The room was what you would expect from a Best Western Hotel. The hotel supplied a standard, decent breakfast.

Nice amenities, pet friendly, FANTASTIC breakfast (biscuits and gravy, omelets!!!), polite and efficent staff, clean room. Only negatives were there was only 1 dryer and 1 washer on 2nd floor and it's a smoking/ non-smoking hotel so you can smell cig smoke in the halls. Great value. I'd stay again just for the breakfast!!!

For the price it was ok. We got a discount for time of year, wouldn't pay full price at peak session. The room was clean but had an odor. Bed was so uncomfortable and seemed to slant towards the head. 5 pillows for two people on a king bed. The pillows were small , too soft, uncomfortable. Air conditioning made noise and didn't really work. Needed the air conditioning because we had a room looking to the pool, the humidity came through the a/c unit when it was off. Needed the cool air to avoid sleeping in a sauna. No easy access to charge phones etc. Husband had to unplug alarm clock and lamp from power strip he found behind bed. The other outlets weren't easy to use either. The breakfast... I didn't like the eggs. When I got there had only two yogurt choices, pumpkin pie,and blueberry. Not going to eat either of those... ate fresh fruit and a bagel. My husband choked down eggs, ham, a piece of (ugly looking) chocolate cakes, milk, and orange juice. Not enough tables without people using conference room. As bad as I hate to say this but glad we had to leave a day early for family emergency, wasn't looking forward to another night in that bed. Also saw some ants in our room. No elevator. Chose first floor for this reason. If I had known this was an older building we wouldn't have stayed here, loved Best Western in Nashville! Noticed TripAdvisor sticker on the door. Thought this might be good, I'll not stay here again.

We went to the Omaha zoo spent 5 hours wearing ourselves down and needed a nice place to wind down. A problem arose(self imposed) when my reservation did not show on the correct day. Alex, the night clerk was nice and told me how to make the correction with Hotels.com and held two rooms for me while I worked it out. The rooms were spacious and the queen beds were comfortable and the pillows were great. The indoor pool was spacious and there were tables set up so we could have a pizza party at the pool. Our grand kids loved the pool and did not want to leave. Next morning the breakfast had lots of choices with omelets(with fixin's) eggs, sausage, waffles(!!!), cereals, bagels and toast. It was great. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and when there was a pop corn explosion in our daughter's room the house keeping staff came and vacuumed it up for us.

On first glance this older hotel seemed to be nicely appointed and the rooms large, But after spending some time in the room the neglect starts to show: the drapes only partially hooked up (I had to use a chair to hold the drapes closed), ring in the toilet, the sink drain almost clogged shut, the bathroom wall and floor very dirty behind the door, etc. I actually left as soon as possible to get to my next accommodation to shower.

We are staying here while we are working down here. They have plenty of parking for cars and semi's. Nice facility and have a great continental breakfast. Price is a little higher than a couple others, but worth the extra couple bucks.

My stay here was terrible. So terrible that I actually checked out early and found another hotel to stay at for the other 2 days of my trip. First of all I didn't realize that there was no elevator and I was put in a room on the second floor. The person that I was travelling with has a medical condition that makes it difficult to travel up and down stairs. Then we got to the room and attempted to log onto the wifi to take care of some business, using the instructions in the book only to find out that we needed a password. No big deal right, just call down to the front desk to get it, except our phone didn't work. We were all the way at the back side of the building, so I had to walk down the stairs and all the way around to the front desk to get the password. When I informed them that my phone didn't work they said they would get maintainence to look at it, but the next night it still didn't work. At check-in you usually get told about breakfast and what times it is available, we didn't, the front desk people didn't really talk to us, they weren't rude, but they weren't very personable. The temperature in the room was hard to control. It would get too cold, so I would adjust it and then it would get too warm. There was a constant fan on that I couldn't turn off. Not only did the water pressure in the shower suck, but it took forever to heat up and didn't get hot enough. Housekeeping never came to our room that day, so I had to go back down to the front desk and ask for fresh towels because we only had 2 when we checked in. I use two towels when I shower, adn there were two of us so that obviously wasn't enough towels. Then at the end of a very long day all we wanted to do was go soak in the hot tub. A hot tub is a personal requirement for me when I book hotels. I even read the reviews and it said they had a nice working hot tub. We changed into our swimsuits, walked all the way down to the pool area and it was broken! That was pretty much my breaking point. So I found another hotel. The only positive thing that happened was that they didn't charge me for the second night, because I didn't check out until 730. I will not be staying here again, ever.

Excellent /They went out of there way to satisfy our needs/the rooms were clean and the staff went out of there way to do extra/we were even helped up stairs with our luggage. The food was great. My family also were very satisfied

The stay here was just ok. There was limited tables in the breakfast area where more could be added easy. We had to wait for a table. Breakfast was good. Hotel was noisy and rooms were small. hotel offers a shuttle to casino in area. This hotel reminded me of a truck stop hotel. More money was put into a living room effect in the lobby than the rooms. Rooms were clean. People that did not belong to the hotel would hang out in the parking lot. we paid 80.10 for one night.

Upon entering room - air conditioner was set to 65. Once room warmed up it began to smell. The carpet was sticky - had to keep shoes on. They were not full yet put me in this dump. Complained at front desk and was told room had not been used for quite a while.

Room was dingy and poorly lit; needs a face-lift. Bed comfortable and bathroom clean except for hair in shower. Hall floor dirty. Next to truck stop but noise did not penetrate room. Breakfast excellent.

We wanted a Best Western that was not too far from the zoo, however, we should have stayed on away based on the low price alone. The initial room that was given to us had a faulty lock on the door so our cards would open the door despite the light turning green. We were given a new room, however, that room was far below standard from the usual Best Western we have come to expect. The room smelled of smoke, the bath mat was disgusting and there were piles of dust in the corners. The air conditioner was loud and did not work well, the room was still very damp so we think maybe the dehumidifier part was not working. I'm very surprised that this hotel is even considered part of the Best Western family, it is well below the typical standards and I would never ever consider returning to this hotel or recommending it to anyone, sorry. That being said, the staff was very friendly and helpful and I can't really blame them for the poor quality of the hotel, the owner needs to spend some money and fix this place up!

Homemade omelettes with your choice of meat and veggies made fresh right before your eyes was a very welcomed surprise. Oh, were they ever so tasty, melt in your mouth with gooey cheese, fresh vegetables, and my favorite meat - bacon! I'd definitely stay here again and would linger longer over my meal.

A shabby, musty smelling hotel with an equally shabby looking guests. I couldn't wait to leave. The price was low. I should have known better. Pay up and stay elsewhere. If I were Best Western, I would boot this location from my chain. It is not in keeping with their other properties.

Easy access, nice indoor pool, lots of options on the breakfast offered. Seriously, if I had a horrible experience, 200 characters would be required, A problem free stay, it doesn't happen often, but this was one.

The young clerk (ALEX) was very helpful and seem to want to make you feel at home and conformable. Breakfast was outstanding, even though I would have like to have ham, over all it was great, and plenty of room to sit. Maybe we was just luckily as we kind of late, hopeful all motels would go to a later time before closing breakfast down.

My wife and I decided to go to the Omaha Zoo over the Labor Day weekend. We stayed at this hotel for many reasons. I have stayed here before and never had a bad experience yet. The staff are very nice and helpful, the bed is comfortable, the breakfast is amazing and you can't beat the price! They have a very nice pool area and huge parking capability which is great if you have an oversized vehicle. 1 1/2 miles from the zoo and about 3 miles from Omaha's Old Market district. Great place to stay, highly recommend.

We stayed here as we were on our way from Denver to Chicago. The room was clean, and was updated. The bed was great, and the staff was really accommodating. Plenty of pillows and great water pressure in the shower. We didn't have a chance to check out the pool, but it looked nice. The breakfast was also pretty good, and had a nice variety of food. We will stay here again if we're ever in the area.

We always stay here when in the area. The rooms are clean and internet is free. Nice pool. Breakfast is good. The staff is very nice and friendly. Easy to get to and great value. Close to casinos and concert venues.

We booked this hotel because it is pet friendly and located near casino. A bargain price, it seems as I tried to book harrahs down the road, and it was more than double. Hotel recently renovated, which made it feel much nicer than the location would dictate. Could improve on the free breakfast, but free is free. We ended up in the farthermost away from front desk and eating area as possible, but suppose that was due to a later check in than usual. The place was packed. Grounds a bit iffy, and lots of smokers. Oh well. No elevator, so it was difficult to navigate bags and dog to second floor.

Hot tub is still not fixed! Total downer! Rooms need updating! Things broken in our room! Thankfully the pool was in working group order and the breakfast was decent. The staff was pretty decent as well.

I've stayed at this hotel several times on my way home from the Sturgis motorcycle rally in South Dakota. It's a good hotel but I've always had trouble with the check-in even though I have a reservation. They never seem to know how to handle Best Western gift cards when I check in. The check-out clerks know exactly how to handle gift cards but then I can't use Express Check-Out. This is the only complaint - otherwise a very good hotel.

Found this gem in the hotel coupon book at the rest area. Lots of construction and truck stops surrounding it but quiet and clean. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms were well maintained and accommodating with a recliner, ample storage, and amenities such as microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, iron & board. Very large gathering place for breakfast and enjoyed receiving free copies of the local newspaper and Wall Street. The parking lot was full so other travelers recognized the value.

Great motel great people will be back. I have stayed here many times and when I call to make my reservation they do everything to try to put me in the same room since they know I enjoy that room. They really try to make your stay pleasant.

Great staff, very helpful. Didn't use pool, but it looked good (indoors). Heavy truck traffic at this location, so you have to be very careful, but hotel itself is quiet and kept very clean. Breakfast was done well.

Hotel located just outside of Omaha, good location. If you are looking for an overnight stay, this is the place for you. They seem to have an issue with the A/C in the pool area but we didn't use it so it wasn't a concern or need for us. The shuttle drivers were quite nice but not familiar with popular eatery, it was free so you can't beat it.

I have stayed at many BW hotels and was very pleased. I was very disappointed with this location. The room was damp and warm. The bathtub drain didn't drain. The hallway was very hot and as I walked to the lobby the halls were cooler. There was no security at the entrance on my end of the hotel.

We prefer BW hotels because of their overall quality. This hotel did not disappoint. Clean comfortable room, plenty of amenities and a good breakfast to start the morning. There's also a shuttle service to the nearby casinos, and I think they'd go to other nearby places. We'd definitely stay here again.

Check -in staff was very friendly. Lobby was nice and clean and had a good atmosphere. The room itself was clean and very nice. Draw back was the parking lot which is very poor condition and the corridors between the rooms really needs to be clean up and dated. Pool area was like a very hot sauna temp wise.

What a welcoming Front Desk courtesy of Jeff. By the time the stress-less check-in was completed I can honestly say we felt wanted! That has never happened to us before. The bed was very comfortable. Nice to start a new day with a restful night paving the way. The Lobby Women's Room was so spotless and tasteful that I'd give it 10 out of 10. Being picky these are hard to come by. Breakfast had lots of good choices and eggs offered two different ways being one of them. They were moist and just the right temperature. Fresh fruit was a plus.

Front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Only complaint would be the pillows. Five 1' x 1' squares that were too soft, very uncomfortable when stacked and worse when I tried to fold one in half. Also wish the toilet seat was a little higher off the floor. A little uncomfortable at times. Air conditioner worked great as it was very hot and humid outside.

We have stayed here in the pass while driving through Council Bluffs and knew that they accepted pets so we chose to stay again. Our room was near an exit so there was a lot of traffic which made for a noisy stay. Also, the jacuzzi was out of order so that was disappointing. On the plus side the room was clean and spacious. The continental breakfast was also good and the staff was friendly.

The employees were all wonderful. The rest was terrible. We payed $161 a night (normal price $89 a night), booked for 7 nights checked out 4 days early. We ended up at the Western Inn down the road $40 a night cheaper & a great hotel all around. I would not have had a problem with the price I booked had the hotel been OK. Maid service did not come the first day, I went to the office to ask, they said they will be there at 8pm, I was given towels & they came the next day. The Indoor pool was so unbarably hot when you opened the door to enter, we could not go in (no air circulation) Our room backed up to the indoor pool area the A/C was sucking the very strong chlorine fumes through the A/C into our room. Woke with headaches.The 4th day we couldnt take it any more & I told them we need to leave. They were going to charge me for another day so I told them the real reason we were leaving. From the look on the young mans face he was aware of the problem & waived the charge, he also asked me not to tell anyone or post a complaint. I waited 3 weeks to post this & finally did because I didnt want someone else to fall ill or worse due to the fumes coming from the inclosed pool area, that did not appear to have an exhaust system to suck out unhealthful air to outside of building. They were very understaffed. I have since stayed at North Platt Neb & Henderson Nevada Best Western's both of those propertys were amazing.

Could not be more satisfied with my stay here. The staff went above and beyond to insure my comfort and to meet my requests. The location of the hotel was great for my business commute and the hotel amenities were also excellent. Will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Council Bluffs!

Great staff and centrally located to a lot of restaurants. They have a shuttle to take you anywhere within 5 miles of hotel. Pool was clean, but very hot inside pool room. Warning... No elevator to 2nd floor. Breakfast was your regular hotel breakfast. Did have homemade omelette though, was a nice change.

Our room was clean and just what we expected. They had free wifi and free breakfast. The room had a microwave and small fridge in it as well. The room and breakfast was average. The price was higher than normal but that was because of several events in the area. The staff was very friendly. Booking Warning: I booked this stay through the TripAdvisor website using Agoda. I noticed that my credit card now has a foreign transaction fee on it. Agoda allows you to book reservations abroad which is probably handy if you are doing that kind of travel. I didn't pay close enough attention and didn't even think about getting this kind of extra charge. Needless to say, I'll be calling my credit card company to try to get it removed. I booked another stay through TripAdvisor using Booking.com and did not have any extra charges.

Very nice rooms. Everything worked great. Swimming area was really hot and humid. Saw very few people use the pool and no one sitting around visiting as it was unbearable in there. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay there again. There were several activities in the area and prices for the rooms were inflated so disappointed with that

It was a comfy stay as far as our room , clean and cool and comfortable , hotel lobby air cond was broken so breakfast was a little warm in the dining area . No meAt on the breakfast unless you count the sausage in the gravy

The rooms were great-it was 101 degrees the day we arrived and the lobby,hallways and breakfast eating area was very warm. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay. Breakfast was very good. The people working here were very nice and helpful. Was really clean too.

We were taking a Midwestern vacation. We stopped in Council Bluffs as we were headed to Nebraska. The hotel was clean, safe and comfortable. They breakfast was just OK, standard eats. It was right off the highway, so very convenient.

The Security Lock on our hallway door was missing, Anybody could walk in. The management gave a lame excuse and could care less. The hallway was at least 90 degrees. I woke up at 5 am to the sound of leaking water. Discovered the water leaking from the ceiling above the shower----YUK----. Who knows where it came from. No shower that day!!!! The noise from the rooms and hallways late at night was excessive. When I checked in the desk clerk told me she would send a luggage cart to the room for us and it never did come. What a lame excuse for a hotel under the Best Western name. It was akin to a cheap old low budget hotel. The mgmnt. seems to be numb or inept. Best Western should pull their franchise.

Hotel is poorly maintained, is very dated. A/C in lobby and guest room corridors not working. Pool area temperature over 100 degrees with several a/c units expelling hot air from guest rooms into the open pool/recreation area. A/C in guest room did not work, moved to another room and that A/C was not working properly and was extremely loud. Water running continuously into tub, broken lamp shades, wall vinyl peeling, missing Toilet paper holder. Soiled appearing blanket on bed. Too many deficiencies to list but I would NEVER stay at this hotel again.

For the price we paid we were disappointed. The only leisure feature that was working was the pool. Breakfast had no meat.. Quality is on the downturn. Find another place. Coupon not worth it. Front desk people we very nice and knowlegable.

Outside was nice, huge lot in the back for semi parking. The hotel was getting 3 1/2 stars then I walked in. Front lobby was sweltering HOT no A/C. Manager on duty Naveed said I would only receive my platinum re-ward member discount if I agreed to give them all 10's on the survey they would be emailing me after my stay. I said yes so I would receive my discount but I answered the survey honestly. Two vending machines neither worked. The lobby, breakfast area breakfast area, hallways & pool room had no A/C it was 100° outside. The hotel says that it's pet friendly however if you bring a pet in there's a $250 upfront fee. The breakfast orange juice tasted funny and there's no meat at the breakfast. I requested non-smoking but my room smelled of cigarette smoke. Both me and my team driver had lipstick on our sheets. Be careful when you read good reviews on this hotel specially if the people making the good reviews were told they would get a discount whether they were a re-ward member or not as long as they agreed to give all 10's on the survey. If you were absolutely stuck in the area and all other hotels are booked & you don't want to sleep in your car then yes I would say it's a great hotel to stay in. I travel for a living and so far this year have stayed in about 25 hotels 23 of them for business.

This property has the best pool!! It's a real 'swimming' pool - indoor. The rooms are nice and typical BW breakfast with a few local specialists added. The staff in dining area, Nan, was so friendly and helpful. Based on reviews we had room overlooking pool but would have preferred outward looking room to open window and let in some fresh air.

This was just an average and older hotel. It was pet friendly for an extra $20. Our room was a long way from the lobby and limited number of luggage carts. Hallways were dirty bu the room was reasonably clean. Located by truck stops and in an industrial area. Very few outlets for charging phone, etc. Breakfast was pretty standard fare for a buffet.

Reasonably priced. Rooms were clean. Great free breakfast. Nice pool. Hot tub not in service at the time we were there. Small exercise room. Close to restaurants, casino, Bass Pro. Enjoyed our stay here

The staff I met at the desk spoke accent. He seems foreigner. I had trouble understanding him in the morning before I out I went to the hall before going to the room, I felt hot. Then I went into my room. I turned on the light in the front but I can't see the bedroom. I had to walk barely blind to the lamp to turn on the light. I found out there is no freezer in the fridge. Also the toilet paper is too thin which it is cheap toilet papers. There are very nice bed, chairs, desk, lamp, tv, and shower. Also very good hot breakfast and healthy cereal. It also has a nice swimming pool.

My room smelled really funny. To be fair, I might've been staying in a dog-room (my parents were next door with their dog, which was definitely a dog room, but all the dog rooms we've been in before smelled like normal hotel rooms....), which might've contributed to the smell. But it did not smell clean at all. The sheets also felt like maybe they needed to be washed. The hallways seemed really rundown (missing ice machines, pools of water in the stairwell, etc) and there was no ac in the corridors and no elevator, which on an 85-degree day was needed. It was very stuffy. Also, we were near one of the parking lots, and the door to the outside did not close at all, so we were concerned about security. My mom's tub had not been cleaned, but mine seemed ok. We made do, but I don't think any of us would be back, which is a shame because usually we love Best Westerns. (It was about $100 less than Best Westerns usually are; maybe the quality was why!) Breakfast was fine.

As i checked ini asked how much the rooms where. I ended up being charged $15/room per more than i was told The Best Western Cross roads is NOT A BEST WESTERN. My loyalty card was rejected at the front desk. It was disappointing. 3) Breakfast: It is supposed to be open at 6:00am. I arrived there at 7am, YET NO ONE WAS THERE TO SEAT ME. I stood around like a fool for 15 minutes. Where were the servers? Then while i was eating, i was asked to show my card twice. (not very professional or organized). I have never complained about a Best Western before, but then again this is not really a Best Western. I wont stay there again.

Can certainly recommend this place. Lobby looked nice with some seating areas. Rooms are nice and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was included and not bad. One of the 2 waffle makers broke on the 2nd day, and for the amount of people staying there, they should have had at least 3 of them. But there are other breakfast items to enjoy also. The hot tub was broken, and the pool was enclosed and the area it was in was very hot and humid. Some of the air spilled over into the hallway where our rooms were. But the rooms have good airconditioning, so it did not bother us. Not sure if this is always like this, or if there was an issue with the fans? Would not be a problem during the winter as then you want the area around the pool to be warm. Walls don't seem very thick, or maybe it was the door that joins the room with the one next door that we could hear people though. once the AC was on, couldn't hear anyone outside the room anymore. Free shuttle came in handy.

We attended a late night concert in Omaha, needed a place to stay close to the arena. This was about $70 for the night. We didnt need anything more than a place to sleep. Were pleasantly surprised to find a nice interior, friendly staff and a large, spacious, modern room. Comfortable beds, nice pool area, though we didnt use it. Liked that my room was interior and faced the pool. Didn't have pool access from our room, but the window faced the pool area, which on a morning when we wanted to sleep in, made our room extra nice and dark because they keep the pool area dark until it opens at 10. Overall, we'd stay again if we are ever in the area. Liked the hot breakfast, too. You don't get that at many hotels anymore.

Large pool area if you have a family. My room was quiet and clean. Very attentive desk staff. I made a mistake and booked for the wrong night and they corrected the error for me and gave me a similar discount for the night. Very reasonable. Well kept.

I needed to stay in Council Bluffs for an educational seminar. Some of the hotels were offering a discount to seminar participants. I travel with a service dog and was on a tight budget. I received excellent accommodations and service for almost half of what the other hotels offered. My room was clean, accessible and quiet. I would recommend this hotel highly

I had to fly in to Omaha from Virginia to meet my boyfriend. He was driving cross country solo, Washington to Virginia. I flew in to help drive the rest of the way. I needed an affordable hotel for his pitstop to get a good night sleep. I booked this hotel with my Southwest Airlines ticket. Having flown in to Omaha my while life (to visit family in Iowa), I have never stayed in the area. Well, to make this long story shorter... It was a great pick! I wasn't sure he'd make it into Omaha to get me. Great surprise that the hotel had a complimentary airport shuttle. I wasn't expecting that service on a Sunday evening. The Driver, Mike, was so friendly. Without even asking he had offered to take us anywhere within 5 miles. I had mentioned finding dinner and an ATM. We got checked in. Room was close to parking. Indoor pool, hot tub and lounge area. Microwave and mini fridge in the room. I was so happy to see a hot breakfast in the morning. Coffee, Juice, Belgium waffles, eggs, sausage biscuits and gravy, and more. Nice large lounge area and tv area. I wouldn't mind being snowed in here a while. Room was clean. No hello, good morning, any kind of recognition from staff. But overall We were happy.

I did not have a good experience at the Counsel Bluffs, Iowa Best Western. They did not clean my room for 4 of the 5 days I stayed there for training at my home office. I asked repeatedly to have our room cleaned, and they did not clean it until the last day.

We would definitely stay here again and again. It is conveniently located. The room was nicely decorated and clean. The price was very affordable. Best part was shuttle service to the casino was provided.

This motel has seen better days. Carpet was completely worn through in spots. Room smelled of chlorine, because indoor pool was on other side of window. Security is lax. The back door didn't lock so anyone could enter the hallway day or night. There are better options.

I was extremely satisfied with the staff, the room, the breakfast and the cleanliness of this motel. The air conditioner worked properly and didn't make much noise. The refrigerator was clean and working properly and the microwave was clean. I will stay there again when I am in Council Bluffs visiting my daughter. I stayed there 2 years ago and liked it so well that I stayed there this year.

Mother's Day weekend we needed a place to stay for a funeral on Monday. TripAdvisor found us a place on short notice. I was impressed because I thought it would be slim pickings, for sure. Not only did we get a room for both days we got one close to our family. It was an easy transaction and comfortable stay.

Excellent price, soft train horns in the background were actually pleasing! Could stand to move the outside smoking away from the doors though, and maybe some smoky smell came in through the AC on the ground floor. But it dissipated and the whole experience was good. Maybe a meat at breakfast but the cheese omelettes were very good. Pool was a very nice size, and clean. Hot tub was broken but in my experience that seems to be the norm everywhere I stay. I don't even expect them to work anymore, so I didn't really miss it.

Best Western has a caring staff and very helpful. I have had to stay at others within this area and felt unsafe but when I decided to move to Best Western I felt safe. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that needs a break. The front desk people are amazing along with the other staff. I was amazed! This hotel is clean and neat. I will not stay anywhere else.

This hotel is nice. A little pricey for what you get but that seemed to be the case with other hotels in the area too. The staff is very very friendly! When we first checked in we received a room with a view of the pool. It was slightly muggy & smelled of chlorine so we asked to be moved to an outer room. Within 10 minutes someone had come up & gave us keys for a new room. The rooms are a little small but we did have a nice sized fridge and also a microwave in our room. The breakfast had pretty good choices and the internet works great. The pool is larger than most hotels too.

The staff at this hotel were great, very kind and helpful. The lobby was nice. The rooms were clean. The problem though was with the rooms next to the pool, no outside window except to the pool which made the rooms muggy. The air conditioners were very loud. Otherwise a nice hotel.

We were last minute vacationers and this Best Western had the lowest on line prices and we got an even better deal when we arrived. Everyone was very helpful and smiling. All looked like they enjoyed working there which says a lot about the management. Shoot even the Laundry worker was smiling.

We love staying at this Best Western! We live in Canada and make this our first nights stop when we head south for the winter. It is a big place, good variety of food for breakfast and very comfortable beds. My only complaint is the signage on the interstate is not good. I wish there would be some kind of sign showing which exit to get off for this hotel. We have stayed here for the last four years and have always missed it and had to circle back. Front desk staff/management and the lady that does the breakfast are very friendly. We look forward to coming back next year. Keep up the good work!!!

It was a very nice experience with clean rooms, helpful staff, a good breakfast and a nice pool area. It would have been nice if the whirlpool was open but the fitness center had good equipment choices. In that area, there is road construction so you have to really pay attention to the signs. There is a truck stop next door but we were in the room closest to them and couldn't hear trucks at all.

If you are looking for a night stay or for couple of days close to Omaha, then the Best Western at Council Bluff is a place worth considering. I travel a lot and whenever I am in that area, I don't think twice. It is an easy choice for me after I had research and considered hotels and motels in Omaha downtown area and Council Bluffs. I highly recommend it.

Beds were very comfortable. There were two armchairs, which was nice, but only one had a lamp to read by. Bathroom is very small. Breakfast had choices I liked. Price is a little more than I like to pay for the quality of the motel.

the employees were fun to talk with, and as an add bonus, an employee knew when I was checking out and that I would be needing a cart. He drop one by my door just before I was getting ready to go get one.

Nicely redecorated hotel, fresh and modern. Comfy beds. Very noisy heater/ air conditioning unit. Room was facing the pool and smelled of chlorine / pool. I tried to print off a $10 BW coupon I had received via email and printer wasn't working and the BW site was down, the manager offered to put the offer through later when the site was back up . Very pleasant man .

A nice place to stay when visiting the Council Bluffs and Omaha area. The room was clean and comfortable with an in-wall A/C unit that was quieter than most we've encountered. The surroundings aren't much to look at, but freeway access is close by. The staff was friendly and efficient. We'll stay there again.

No cable for two days. Called up the front desk to let them know and the sarcastic tone I received said it was getting fixed before i could even say anything and then hung up. The next day when I get off a hard days work ready to relax after my shower and lunch turn the tv on to find out there wasn't any cable, still. I called the front desk and was offered a room of lower quality.(very rudely). I Would pack up and leave all together if I hadn't paid in advance. Will not stay here again.

Rare to come across a Best Western charging less than $60 a night, but there are compromises. It's an older motel that has been remodeled, and it is now showing its age again. The "pillow-top" mattress was fairly comfortable, but older, and sagging. The floor had obviously not been vacuumed prior to our visit, as you could see lint or something around in various places, just enough to cause us to question the overall cleanliness. Furnishings starting to get a little rough around the edges, too. Still, we were exhausted, the shower was excellent, and decided that we could handle it for the price. You will have to make your own call if you think it is worth the compromise. If you aren't sure, you might want to choose a newer property. Of course, that one won't be $60!

Courteous from the moment we walked in. Informed us on all necessary info and answered questions about local venues. Key to room didn't work, but this issue was taken care of in a matter of minutes with the desk attendent, Muhammad, getting us in to another room. No elevator for 2nd floor but I requested a king smoking and thats where it was and one flight of steps was not an issue for us. As far as the smoking room went, gosh, it didn't smell like a musty, smokey room to me, nor to my non-smoking spouse. Clean room. Internet was good. Quiet on the east side. Bed/pillows/sheets were super comfortable. Room window looked down on the swimming pool, which was just being filled and readied for reopening in the next day or 2. Don't know how quiet room would be when pool is in operation, but it did look very nice and fresh. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. Eggs, sausage & gravy/buscuits, bagels, toast, muffins, cereal, do it yourself waffles. Very good. The lobby and dining area are very tastefully decorated and quite comfortable. Good location, not far from I-29 and 80. And they have shuttles for the casinos. The Horseshoe was not far from the motel. Just a great stay, overall.

A little off putting that it's right on top of a huge truck stop but it was very clean, the staff was helpful and in a pretty good location. Will definitely stay here again if passing through. They have pet friendly rooms which was of benefit to us

We enjoyed our stay at this motel. Room was clean, warm and everything worked. Breakfast bar was well stocked with friendly, helpful staff. Have stayed here before and plant to again. We also used the valet service and were provided a safe ride with prompt service.

We doubt you could do better in Council Bluffs, and if you are heading east on I-80 this is a great stop without the Omaha traffic in the morning. The hotel is easy freeway access, gas at great prices within a block, restaurants and a huge convenience-type store nearby full of midwest souvenirs and post cards. But the hotel itself deserves recognition for the spacious and clean rooms, the extremely friendly staff, and a breakfast that is above and beyond! Many hot selections, fruit, cereals and breads, everything you hope for and things you don't expect! Enormous indoor pool/hot tub area which was unfortunately closed on our visit but we look forward to another stay here.

Great Best Western hotel with helpful staff. Easy access off I - 29 Interstate highway . Awesome morning breakfast to start your day. This is a regular stop on our annual trips to Nascar in Kansas City.

It is very difficult to find a hotel that will take a cat-pet friendly usually means dog friendly. There wasn't any hassle here and the staff were very helpful in all instances.I would definitely stay here again. Easy on and easy off the interstate, too.

The staff is very friendly. Rooms are comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfect. There shuttle service IS THE BEST. My favorite hotel for a weekend get away. Price is always reasonable for the number of services that is provided.

HUGE facility, but we felt welcome and safe. Great breakfast choices, quickly back on I-80 next morning. Multi- family room seatings with flat screens in the lobby-breakfast room area felt warm and inviting.

Crossraods is about an hour from our home. We go to Council Bluffs occasionally to go to the dog races at Bluffs Run in the Horseshoe Casino. this is a conveniently located motel that is moderately priced and has decent rooms with comfortable beds . They have an indoor pool and hot tub, however at this last visit the hot tub was out of service. :( Hope they get it fixed before our next visit. Nice shopping area close by also.

At checkin, I was not "welcomed" or "greeted." I was checked-in, and directed to my room at the back of the hotel. Arriving after dark, light in room wasn't bright enough to see additional light switches, requiring use of a personal flashlight. At checkout, I was not asked how my stay was...I handed in my room key, the attendant printed out a receipt and handed it to me. I don't even think there was "have a nice day." Certainly no "thanks for choosing Best Western.

Hotel was not the best or worst and was priced good which is what we were looking for. We got a clean room at a decent rate with clean sheets, blankets, towels etc. We felt very safe at this hotel. Family friendly. The door key did take a few times to open the door and we could smell cigarettes in the hallway. We didn't utilize the pool since we were tired from traveking. The breakfast was good. Hot eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fruit, cereal. No bacon or sausage though. Would stay here again if passing through.

this was just a place to sleep, close to many attractions but for the high prices and rude guests it was a low value,hot tub was closed ,pool was being serviced and unusable security doors were broken and room key took several attempts to open the door to the room. as a heavy smoker i was surprised by the dense odor of smoke in the room indicating that carpet/curtains and such hadn't been cleaned or changed in a long time.

The room was large and king size bed was comfortable.. Breakfast was adequate and hotel was close to restaurants. Restaurant at hotel was closed. Check in was fast and room was nice and clean. Will definitely stay here again on our way to Brandon.

Beds were comfortable. There were two comfortable chairs in the room, which we appreciate--and adequate lighting for reading. Bathroom is fairly small. Faucet in bathtub/shower is old. The door to our room was hard to open; you had to really push hard. Breakfast was good. Room rate (even with a discount) is higher than I feel it is worth to stay there.

Very nice rooms and good breakfast. Friendly staff and great location. Easy access to the zoo, casino, dog races and lots of shopping places. Nice pool, but hot tub was broken. Reasonable prices. Would stay here again!

I travel to this motel for work, so it's not for fun. The building has been here for a while and it is a bit worn, but they have been working on it and the rooms and facilities are not too bad. The people working here are friendly and helpful. The pool area is large and great for families. The rooms on the northwest corner can be a bit noisy with trucks from the truck stop next door. It is a central location in Council Bluffs and close to the interstate for travel.

A very good and affordable place to stay. Staff is very friendly and attentive of your needs. Breakfast is good, but no bacon. Rooms are clean, security is 24/7. Shuttle will take you everywhere. I highly recommend this hotel.

I have been coming to this Best Western for a awhile now and all the employees are always outstanding and helpful. If need a quite room ask for a inside room. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. Has a shuttle service that runs 24-7 with-in a 5 mile radius

Easy access off the highway. The rooms were clean and quiet room. Also pet friendly which was a big plus for me. Plenty of places to eat within a 1/2 mile. The breakfast was nice. The usual waffles, pastries, etc. plus small cheese omelets.

Overnight stay with my children. The staff was pleasant; place was clean and lobby was updated. Had a problem with the magnetic lock on my room, so I asked for assistance from the lobby. He confirmed the problem and went back to the front desk to secure a different room for me. He escorted us to the second room, made sure it unlocked, and even started the ac for us. The second room was easier to open, but still had a slight glitch with the magnetic lock. I chose this hotel for its indoor pool. The kids loved the pool. The room was very sauna like, but was tempered by the cooler pool. The beds were comfortable and layered with 4 large pillows! (I'd love to know where to buy some!) The room had a microwave, coffeemaker, and small refrigerator. The continental breakfast bar was fabulous! Fresh fruits, cereal, yogurt, make your own waffles, muffins, oatmeal, coffee, and juices. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with children!

The staff here was very friendly. We came in late and the front desk clerk offered to keep the pool open longer if we needed them too. The breakfast was very good and consisted of eggs, biscuits and gravy, cheese omelets, and your other normal continental breakfast items, such as yogurt, cereal, muffins, etc. The front desk clerk at check out was very friendly. The pool is nice and large and there was lots of room in the pool area away from the pool for my two year old to run. This was nice since it was too late to be outside. We stayed on a visit to the zoo. It took us only about 5 minutes to get to the zoo from hotel!

We had 3 rooms for group; mine was very dirty; all rooms "stuffy" wet odor-resolved with AC on. My sink drain was broken, no response from hotel staff. Good location for Omaha area, to zoo, etc. and some hotel staff nice. breakfast good. If not for one really crappy filthy room, would have been nice stay. We are all returning in month & have decided will look elsewhere to stay.
